Brenda was having tea with Sam at a coffee shop they managed to find in another town as Sam does her best to keep Brenda a secret from Carly. Brenda looks up at an ad with Pine Valley's own Erica Kane and Brenda started to get ideas.
"So you said Carly has Helena Cassadine's backing what if we could have Erica Kane's backing for a new cosmetic's company to be born and to come at Carly and whatever she is planning for Deception." Brenda brings out before taking a sip of her tea.
"You've really thought this through haven't you." Sam says.
"I mean why yes I have to do something." Brenda tells Sam.
Ava Vitali was by herself in the park and she was looking over her contract for the new Deception aka Diamond. Ava didn't know what to do until a woman named Courtney Matthews appears.
"Hello I'm Courtney you are?" Courtney asks.
"Ava Vitali it's nice to meet you." Ava tells Courtney who joins her on the bench.
"What brings you to Port Charles if you don't mind me asking." Courtney says to Ava.
"Oh just looking for a new life for myself it's not going as I thought it would. Carly wants me to be the face of the new Deception but I can't. It's Brenda's thing you know she's been doing this for quite a bit of time now." Ava tells Courtney.
"Yeah Carly and Brenda they have never gotten along especially when it comes to Jax." Courtney tells Ava.
"I've heard of the great Jasper Jacks I've never met him though." Ava tells Courtney.
"He would probably like the fact you've made yourself available to join the team at Deception but he put Lauren in charge and Brenda was already chosen as the top model for everything." Courtney tells Ava.
At Deception Carly was holding a meeting which Lauren found herself being a part of but not as the lead as Jax had wanted.
"I've decided to change the name of Deception to Diamond Cosmetics and we are going to expand into a department store for women all over the United States of America." Carly brings out.
"We all decided it would be called Passion Cosmetic's Carly that was the agreement." Lauren says.
"No that was your promise to Jax which we've voted against." Claudia points out to Lauren.
Suddenly Jax appears furious with Carly and what she has done.
"Where's Brenda Carly what have you done!" Jax says as he was very angry.
"Don't worry Jax we've decided to give her a huge break away from the spot light for a little bit." Carly tells Jax.
"Jax you have to fix this there's no telling what Carly will do." Lauren tells Jax.
"I made Lauren the boss for a reason Carly." Jax tells Carly.
"And I took it upon myself to take care of this with my own hands. You gave me no choice by shoving Brenda in my face." Carly tells Jax.
Brenda and Sam find themselves at the home of the great Erica Kane and knock on her door to their surprise she answer's and knew right away who Brenda was.
"Brenda Barrett the Deception model at my door what a surprise." Erica says.
"I have some great news to share with you Ms Kane I hope we can discuss this." Brenda tells Erica.
"Why of course come in and your friend and let's talk over dinner." Erica tells Brenda.
Ava was still in doubts over what Carly wanted her to do but runs into Helena herself.
"Ava Vitali in Port Charles Brenda's replacement you will do a great job at the new Deception." Helena tells Ava.
"No I'm not the one." Ava says.
"Oh yes you are and you will be an excellent replacement." Helena tells Ava.
