Chapter 8: CALMING STORMS
THE UNITED NATIONS:
All nations have gathered to vote if KraKoa should be an independent nation. After many arguments between nations, more than 100 nations have accepted the trade with KraKoa for their drugs that can cure mental illness or cancer. While trading is on going with other nations, some refuse the trade treaty due to either Political or Ideological reasons or mainly cause of prejudice towards mutants but Africa didn't need the medicines due to Wakanda supporting them. After a long day, KraKoa has been accepted as a nation. Now, all the nations are celebrating the new nation and some their successful trade.
"You're loving this, aren't you?" Emma Frost commutated to Xavier telepathically. She was wearing a white suit. "Then again, what's not to love? Congratulations, Charles. You've won yourself a nation" she sips her champagne.
"It's our nation, Ms. Frost." Charels replied telepathically as he chats with some nation leaders. "Due—I suspect—in no small measure to you."
"Are you accusing me of something, Charles?" She frowns while looking at her drink
"I just want you to know that I know…" he raised his glass towards her. "… and a grateful nation thanks you for your sacrifice."
"You're welcome." She raised her glass too and smiled. "Now, buy me something pretty… or, I dunno, make me a governer of a province."
"To the first, what do you buy the woman that can already buy anything she wants?" he smiled "As to the second… you already know I have boulder thing in mind like you with that boy"
"Oh my, you've already noticed" She said unconcerned "Believe it or not, that one isn't on me but I'm involved." She became serious. "You won't touch him, Charles. That one belongs to the HellFire company."
"So scary Ms. Frost. We are one family. Sharing is caring" Xavier chuckled.
"Family or not, you know I don't like people touching my things, Charles"
"Still objectifying people."
"He hasn't proven his worth me, just his potential." She waved her hair back while beast introduced her to some leaders. "A potential without determination is a waste. In my world it's survival of the fittest"
"Don't worry about me touching your new toy" He smiled "Just be careful of how you treat this one. He's… unusual. Even Cerebro can't… never mind. Just know you've brought a wildcard to your game, Ms. Frost"
"Thank you, you make him sound expansive. My favorite. Enjoy the night, Xavier"
"You too, Ms. Frost"
KraKoa:
In an expensive room in a tall building, a young man with deep ash hair was waking up. After the whole revival and five incidents yesterday, Daniel managed hangout with Laurie and Roberto. The two helped Daniel get a basic understand of KraKoa and the locations around it. As they were enjoying themselves at a restaurant, paid by Roberto, Illyana teleported there and teleported him into the room. She said Kitty arranged it for him in the same building as the other Marauders. She also said that his stuff that survived the explosion and things from his work place were brought here already.
After taking a bath and freshen up, Daniel walked to the living room, which was huge and surrounded with boxes. He started unpacking.
KNOCK KNOCK
Someone knocked on the door. He went to open the door, but the moment he unlocked it, it slammed in his face and someone walked in.
"Ouch" He flinched at the pain and covered his nose before turning to the mysterious person. He looked around but didn't see any one then lowered his gaze and saw two kids, twins, holding hands.
Both had pale blonde hair, the boy's own was short and the girls own was in a pony tail. They both have black eyes with gray irises. The male wore a gray jacket with a black shirt under with a gray jean. The female wore full black dress with white collars. The stared emotionlessly at Daniel.
"Ummm" Daniel looked around feeling uncomfortable under their gaze. "Is this some joke?" He opens the door and looked side to side trying to fine anyone hoping it to be some bad joke. Sighing in defeat, he closed the door and turned back to the kids and squat to their level. "I'm going to take it you're on your own" They nodded. "Alright, let me finish working and I'll see if I can find your parents" The just kept staring at him. "Soooo, what are your names?"
"Maxime" The guy, "Manon" The girl.
"Alright, do you want to eat something" They nodded excitedly. Sighing and smiling at their attitude, Daniel stood up and walked to the kitchen and started making something for the kids.
The kids just watched as Daniel was preparing something. They looked at each other and nodded. They've been through a lot. They used to be innocent kids until they were kidnapped and brainwashed to use their power—Maxime's Emotion Manipulation and Manon's Memory Manipulation—to make other mutants into dogs to hunt their fellow mutants. Though they were rescued the torture was a scar to both of them so, they closed their hearts and started using their powers to get what they want. Then yesterday, they saw Daniel. Not only did their power not work on him—which isn't the first time—but he saved them from another mutant who wanted to exploit them for his benefits when he found about their powers. Since then, they followed him, watching him from afar. When Illyana teleported him, they searched everywhere until they found him and decided they wanted to stay by him. He made them feel safe.
"Here you go" Daniel places a plate of muffins in front of them "Enjoy"
They both started eating, they took one bite and their eyes sparkled. They began eating faster and faster.
"Slow down or…" They started coughing "… that" He brought the two glasses of water. "Well, enjoy I have work to do" The twins watched him as he walked away then looked at each other.
Daniel sat down holding some broken tech. He looked at it. "Okay, let's try this" His eyes glowed purple, he could see the codes and the problems with the tech, he started communicating with it and commanding it. The pieces slowly started to float and assemble together.

"Huff... huff… It really isn't easy to train your powers" Daniel had been having a rough time. The pieces sometimes didn't do what he commanded or another device will fly towards him. Sighing, he looked around and saw that its already afternoon. "Wow, talk about immersive training" He chuckled at his own joke. He looks around and saw the kids, in front of him, watching Tv. "They didn't leave" He was about to do something when,
KNOCK KNOCK
Sighing he went to open the door but stayed at a distance to avoid another hit. He opened the door and saw Roberto smiling at him.
"You're not an easy man to find" Roberto said, "Can I come in"
"Sure" Daniel moved letting him in. "What's up?"
"I wanted to ask-AH" Roberto was surprised when he saw the twins beside him, staring, before the ran behind Daniel. "How are those two here?"
"You know them?"
"Who doesn't? It's rare for them to be this close to someone"
"Do you know where I can find their parents?"
Roberto's face gloomed and he looked to the side. "Dead"
"Oh" Daniel said with shock and looked at the twins with sympathy "Well, why are you here?" He said changing the subject
"Oh, right, party time"
"Party time?" Daniel was confused
"To celebrate us becoming an independent state"
"The UN agreed, sounds off, but let's live in the moment. When's the party?"
"Now, let's go" Roberto rushed out causing Daniel to shake his head.
As he was about to step out, he felt two people holding him. He looks down to his left and right to see the twins holding each hand. Sighing, he left with them.
New York:
In an ally of New York, a large energy sphere appeared out of nowhere and exploded in a shockwave. In the crater in made, was a hooded person.
"I made it" The voice was feminine. She had her whole face covered. She activated her watch and a holographic map appeared. There was a red dot blinking on KraKoa's location. "Found it"
"Hey, who are you? Walking in our turf" A thugs shouted. His voice attracted more thugs.
"I don't have time let me go and I'll spare you" she said annoyed with the delay.
"Sounds like a cute girl under that dune cosplay." A thug said.
"Why not cosplay with us, we know a good convention" another said with a disgusting smirk.
The girl breathes in and out to maintain composure. Her parents thought her not to act rashly.
"Come on cutie" A thug place his arms around her and that was the final straw.
A hot shockwave from her sent all of the back, but they were all suspended in the air. The girl started to float; her eyes were glowing red. "Bad move. I warned you" she grinned.
AAAAHHHHHH
All that was heard through the neighborhood were their screams
Moon - Attilan:
Floating above the moon, was an advance futuristic city enclosed in a great impenetrable barrier. This was Attilan, home of the Inhumans.
A few miles away from the city, two men dressed in an advance armor were patrolling for any disturbances. They were fully covered
"Do we have to do this, Paul" The left guard asked. "There's literally nothing here, were in fucking space"
"Space is vast, James, you don't know what can happen" Paul said.
"Let's get this over with." They continued walking. "Did you hear, Crystalia's back."
"Really? This the fourth time… then again time is different in space"
"Yeah, maybe I should make a move. She's still hot"
"Yeah, she's only 26. Maybe I'll have a chance"
"Yeah and-"
BOOOOM
They were surprised by the explosion; they looked and saw smoke floating into space.
"Finally, some action, let's go" James ran not hearing Paul calling him.
"No, we have to report, James" Paul looked between James and the city before, "Wait up"
….
After a few jumps and rans, they caught up to the source. It was a shuttle that crashed.
They slowly moved closer; the place was close to the dark side of the moon so it was a bit dark. As they got closer, Paul stepped on something, the activated their night vision, then,
"Oh My God" James felt like throwing up.
"What did this" Paul questioned feeling equally disturbed.
It was an alien or something, it was unrecognizable. Its face was ripped off, its skull crushed and the brain matter splattered on the ground, half of its body was gone the intestines were spilled out, the skin on the chest was ripped off, and there was a hole in the chest.
"Paul, look there's another one" James pointed to inside the ship.
Paul looked at the person and activated his zoom vision. "You're right, but he's life signature is almost gone, let's save him" They both rushed towards the person
As the were heading towards the ship, something was crawling in the shadows watching them. The tried to get the person out, but he grabbed James's hand.
"R..aa..aa..n…ran" the alien said weakly turning his face to show half of his face melting off.
"LETS RU-"

Time slowed down for Paul as he heard the sound, he turns to see razor sharp claws aiming for James. Thinking fast he pushed James out of the way and used his Ice powers on the creature—it instantly turned to ice—James, coming out his shock, rushed and smashed the frozen creature into pieces.
"PAUL! Are you alright" James rushed to his partner.
"I'm fine, just a chest scratch" He pointed to the big cut in his armor. "That's impossible, normal claws can't cut through"
"Paul! Its damaged, lets get out of here before you start losing air. But what was that."
"Not sure, it was too dark to see and wasn't in the range of the night vision, let's leave, somethings not right
Nodding, James supported Paul as the make their way out before,
CLANG
They both stopped and turned around and looked around for a sec.
"Maybe, jus-AAHHH before Paul could finish a spider-like creature with a long tail and its legs looked webbed jumped on him and crawled into his suit through the cut. "GET IT OUT FAST!"
"HOW! SHOULD I SHOOT? USE YOUR ICE POWERS" James was panicking.
Before the could find a solution, the creature attached itself to Paul's face and wrapped its tail around his neck and choked him a little. All that could be heard was his muffled screams and chokes. Soon he stopped moving but he was still alive.
"PAUL!" In a panic James carried Paul and ran towards the city. "Don't worry, I'll get you help!"
KraKoa:
All mutants were gathered to celebrate their independence and freedom around several huge bonfires around. All mutants with explosive powers were shooting them in the air like fireworks. Mutants with voice-based powers were singing while others dance and drink.
Scott, Jean and Logan were celebrating together before Logan took a can of alcohol and left to give it to someone.
Iceman and Beast were having a fun conversation before Iceman froze Angles drink when he wasn't looking causing beast to laugh at the prank.
The fives, except Proteus, were dancing around a bonfire. Hope was dancing beautifully and some guys were watching her but she ignored them but stopped when she saw Daniel ran by and just stared at him for a long time before continuing to dance. Scott just glared at the boys watching his daughter, wanting to disintegrate them but Jean calmed him down.
Moon - Attilan:
Paul was being pushed into an emergency center to get operated on while James explained what happened on petrol.
Daniel was running away with the twins running behind him before he was lifted into the air by metal wires and pulled across the party with great force he was instantly face to face with Polaris. She smirked and three packs of drinks floated behind her and Daniel started sweating and chuckled nervously. As Daniel was struggling Roberto, Jubilee and Laurie were laughing at his expense.
Jean took two drinks and went to sit beside Emma while both face different directions. She gave Emma a drink without looking at her and she took it with a smile before looking at the red hair then her gaze shifted to Daniel.
New York:
On the statue of Liberty, the girl stood on the tip of the crown watching the city with sadness remembering home and the last words said to her. She sighed and turned to the direction of KraKoa and flew towards it.
In the ally where she encounters the thugs, Ashes shaped like terrified peoples could be seen along with limbs hanging off the walls
Apocalypse was sitting alone with a small smile.
Magneto and Xavier were at the highest peak watching the celebration.
"Look at what we have made." Magneto said. "A home"
"It's only just beginning."
