Hey Everyone I'm back! Sorry I took so long but I had to take a break during the holidays so I can recharge and get back to writing. I hope everyone had a great Christmas! So for this Chapter I wrote about Esteban which was hard to do because I don't know where to leave off since we last saw him, so I wrote this chapter the best I could it's not perfect but it will give a lead off to the next chapter. I hope you'll like this chapter and that you'll get to see Esteban. Enjoy!

Esteban, Ash, and Chatana, Pili and Tzloco were in their secret hideout planning a voyage to go to Nueva Vista to release The Shadows of the Night.

"Everyone gather around!, we have business to discuss."said Ash. Now as you know, Elena has far greater power than anyone else in this realm. So we need to find allies that are more powerful than her. Luckily, I know just the right ones who will lead us to our glorious victory, The Shadows of the Night!"

Esteban was shocked at what Ash said. "The ones who almost destroyed all of Ancient Maru?"

"The Shadows of the Night are the most powerful beings than all of us combined, not even Elena would stand a chance against them, that's why we need their assistance." said Ash.

"But how are we going to find them exactly" asked Esteban.

"There's a hidden clue in Nueva vista that opens a pathway that leads to the imprisonment of the shadows." Ash answered. "It's going to take a boat's journey, which we don't have."

"Are you out of your mind Ash!? they almost caused the destruction of the Maruvian City, they are dangerous!" Esteban warned.

"Hey if these shadows can give us the goods, it's worth the risk." said Pili.

Chatana agreed with her pet. "I've dealt with evil spirits in my lifetime and they have helped me create monsters who that raged over Vallestrella."

"Hey I'm all for it." said Tzloco.

Esteban still refused. "This is madness Ash, you're talking about unimaginable darkness that we cannot handle, and would bring doom to the entire realm."

Ash gave Esteban a little persuasion. "Are you frightened Esteban? or have you forgotten about your former cousin who wants to banish you to a deserted island?"

"I'm afraid of nothing!" Esteban said.

Ash reminded Esteban of his fate"May I remind you that our fates are on the line, and we cannot fail. if Elena catches us we're done for."

Esteban knew that cannot happen for him at least, so he hesitantly agreed. "This is true, all right, I'm in."

Esteban knew just he needed to do to start their mission. "So the first thing you need a boat eh? Well I just know where to get one, I'll be right back."

Ash tried to stop him. "We need you here Esteban, you have the power of Takaina, you are the strongest on our side."

"Please,let's us not worry" Esteban sneered with a villainous smile. I picked up a few tricks with my magic. I'll be back before you know it."

and with that Esteban teleported out of the hideout.

Esteban sneaked inside Avalor wearing a dark cloak and a face covering as a disguise so no one would recognize him. He was looking for a boat big enough for him and his evil band, when he reached the docks, he found the perfect one.

"Ah yes, this will do" Esteban said.

All of a sudden someone with a oar was sneaking up behind Esteban to attack him, but he was one step ahead of him.

It was Daniel, Naomi's dad! "No one steals a boat on my watch." He said.

Esteban said nothing and used his staff skills to take Daniel down in one move leaving him unconscious. he felt remorseful attacking Naomi's Dad, but he had to do whatever it takes to complete the mission.

Esteban boarded on the boat and with a flick of his staff he teleported a sailboat all the way to their secret hideout.

The villainous group was impressed when Esteban appeared before them in a boat.

"Well that was quick!" said Pili.

I thought you would never make it. said Chatana.

Did you ever doubt me? Esteban said in sassy tone.

Ash was truly impressed the most. Your magic is getting stronger, our chances for success may be at an all time high!

"This is true." Esteban agreed.

"Now it is time to make provisions for our journey,and as soon as we release the shadows of the night, Avalor will meet its doom." Ash laughed menacingly.

Esteban was still hesitant about taking over his only home that he ever knew. But he was determined to gain back his family, even if it meant returning to the dark times when he served Shuriki, if this was the only way to get his family back, then so be it.
