Hey everyone, sorry It's been so long since I put out a new chapter. but I had to make sure this story was absolutely perfect. This chapter is going to be about Naomi and Carla bonding and starting a new friendship together. I fought really hard to make this perfect, so I really hope you enjoy it.

News got out in Avalor that there was a ship burglary last night, which Naomi's dad, Daniel Turner, was attacked. Nobody knew it was Esteban, not even Naomi. As the sailors from the port carried Daniel on a sheet across the docks, Scarlett and Naomi rushed out of the house to see him.

Naomi was horrified to see her own father, injured and bandaged. "Dad!"

"I'm fine, Nomes." said Daniel.

"Who did this?" Scarlet asked.

"Some hooded figure attacked me, but he got away." Daniel answered.

The sailors carried Daniel into his house and laid him on his bed.

Naomi stood on the side of the bed, scared for her father. "You could've gotten really hurt or worse." said Naomi

"It's okay, Naomi." Daniel said as he struggled through the pain. "My body may be bruised, but I still have my spirit. I'll get my strength back, you'll see." Daniel held his daughter's hand as tears came flowing from Naomi's eyes.

Scarlett tried to comfort her daughter. Don't worry, Naomi. Your father is going to recover. He'll be back up on his feet before you know it. How about you let him rest, okay?

Naomi sadly nodded as he let go of his father's hand and watching him drift off to sleep. She left the house to go get some air at the docks.

...

Naomi was sitting at the docks scared and worried for her father. She didn't notice Carla Coming over and sitting right beside her. "Naomi, are you okay?"

Naomi couldn't be any more depressed. "No, my father had just been mugged by a ship thief. I could have easily lost him."

Carla felt sympathy for her. "We all heard, I'm sorry."

Naomi was frustrated and heartbroken "How could someone so cruel just nearly take the life of someone you love so much?

Carla can relate. "I would know."

Naomi just realized that she had said the wrong thing concerning Carla's situation. "Oh, I'm sorry I forgot about your..."

"No it's okay," Carla reassured. "At least my father is still alive, and I can still spend some time with him. And when your dad feels better, you'll have plenty of time to spend with him too; trust me, he'll be fine."

That made Naomi feel a little better. "Thanks Carla, I really needed that.

"No problem" said Carla.

Naomi felt remorseful for treating Carla poorly before, she owed her an apology. "Carla, I'm sorry for how I acted towards you the Grand Council meeting."

"That's okay, you had every right to be angry at me." said Carla.

Naomi tried to explain herself. "It's just that...Elena means a lot to me. She's my best friend, and I don't want anything to happen to her. And when I saw you at the meeting, I only thought of you as the person who's stealing my friend, the only person who believed in me, and the villain who tried to hurt her after that. I didn't want to accept the fact that you'd changed, even if you were hurting. I took my anger out on you, and you didn't deserve that. I'm sorry."

Carla felt remorseful as Naomi explained herself. "I kinda did deserve it, for deceiving you as Rita and trying to take your place. I know how close you and Elena are, you were her friend first, and I got in between you two."

"Maybe." Naomi said. "But that's no excuse for my behavior towards you, especially after what you have been through with your mom, and when you felt lonely in prison."

Thanks, said Carla. "but honestly...sometimes I feel like I don't deserve compassion and kindness, even though you and your friends have shown it to me."

Naomi decided opened up to Carla. "I know how it feels to be a misfit, For most of my life, I spent my whole life traveling with my family. Every place we've ever gone it never felt like home until we came to Avalor. At first, I felt like an outsider I didn't feel like I really belonged here. But then I started to make connections with people just by helping out whenever I could. Now I'm being welcomed with open arms like I was part of their family. Eventually I met Elena, Gabe, and Mateo. I Got selected to be on the grand council, organized a few festivals, stopped a duende invasion, they even threw me a quinceanera even though wasn't born here. Being here in Avalor just feels good to be part of something special."

"That's great for you Naomi." said Carla. "But I'm an outsider because of the choices me and my father made."

Naomi tried to comfort her. "You may have been on your own, you may have made some bad choices, and you might feel like you don't deserve to be loved and respected, but you did the right thing and that's all that matters. Besides, you do have friends now. If you keep doing the right thing, I'm sure others will want to be your friend too."

Carla doubted that it would work. "I don't think anyone would want to be friends with an ex convict.

"You never know if you try." Naomi encouraged. "And If anyone messes with you they gonna have to deal with me!"

Carla smiled, nobody has ever stood up for her since her father stood up to Ash for putting her own daughter in danger. "Thanks Naomi."

"Well if we're going to be friends, we gotta have a fresh start." Naomi extended her hand to Carla. "New beginnings?"

Carla extended her hand to meet Naomi's as they shook hands. "New beginnings."

"And this time, you won't have me on a wild bush chase for anoki berries?" Naomi joked.

Carla chuckled at that remark. "Maybe" she joked back.

They both laughed at each other's company. At that moment they both shared a hug as they began a new friendship.

And that's a chapter of Naomi and Carla. I always knew that they would be good friends, what do you think of this chapter, what do you think of Naomi and Carla's friendship? Let me know in the reviews.
