A Broken Reunion: Broken and Lonely 2 Ch. 01
Velvette walks through the building with her coat flowing while carrying a set of papers in her robotic hands.
While approaching her destination, the Vee spots Kayla at her desk, chatting with Tooth as usual.
The star-eyed girl giggles before glancing up and clears her throat and starts searching through her notes. "Shall I redirect phone calls for the time being?"
The former Influencer turns to them with a smirk before entering the room beyond them.
Kayla sighs. "Very well," and jots down something in her notes.
The imp then comments, "It's a wonder how they get anything done."
.oOo.
At her desk, Clara is on the phone. "Yes, I know that we only just sent the application! I was just seeing if there were any updates on it yet… Yeah! I know that it could take months for approval… Thank you," then hangs up her phone with a heavy sigh.
Just then, the door opens, and she looks up to smile at her wife. "Hey, Vee. I just got off the phone. We have yet to be approved," that saddened both Carmines.
Velvette walks up to the desk to set the papers down.
"Are those the new numbers?" Clara picks them up for a glance. "Slight drop in weapons sales but that's to be expected since Hell's starting to calm down after the Last Extermination. All the other departments are increasing. That's good," she then feels her wife's mechanical hand running up her arm. "Not now, Vee," the CEO giggles. "I know that you're just trying to cheer me up, but I actually need to get things done today and so do you," the puffy-haired Carmine then starts going through other forms to approve or deny. She giggles again at feeling a nibble at her ear. "Please, Vee. Most of these are important," turning, the woman finds her wife giving the sad puppy dog look. "Well…" she shoves everything off her desk. "A couple minutes away won't hurt," Clara then picks up her wife and practically slams her onto the desk.
A buzz went off. "Mrs. Carmine!"
Clara unplugs the device. "It can wait," she smirks at her fellow Overlord. "Now, where were we?" and then rips open Velvette's shirt to expose her bra just as the office doors are thrown open.
"What the Hell!?"
Looking up, the two are surprised at who is standing there. Carmilla Carmine and Odette with more white and gold added to their usual attire. Carmilla glaring at them while Odette's eyes were widened.
Clara gets off her wife and approaches her long dead mother and sister. "Mom? Odette?" she gets teary eyed.
Carmilla's eyes narrowed. "What the Hell did I just walk in on!?"
The realization finally dawned on the puffy-haired Carmine, and she turns her wife who is holding her coat closed while looking away.
"Uh, Mom, you see, Vee and I…" she never thought she'd have this conversation.
"Mom," Odette speaks up. "Look at their hands."
The Arms Dealer glances at the spectacled Carmine before turning back to her other daughter and looks down at her hand as well as Velvette's and sees the matching wedding rings.
"Hell, no!" Carmilla grabs the Vee by the arm, dragging her out of the office. Once out, the matriarch turns to glare at the secretary who she recognizes as being a soul owned by Velvette. "You're fired!"
Kayla's knees gave out and Tooth is by her side.
The Imp looks up at his boss. "Ms. Carmine can we please dis—"
"My decision is final!" she continued dragging the Vee throughout the building until they were outside. "Never come near my daughter again!" the woman then eyes the mechanical arms and spots the Carmine logo and proceeds to rip them off. "These are my property!"
Carmilla walks back in just as her daughter tries running past her, but the woman quickly grabs onto her and shoves her back. "What were you thinking, Clara! Out of all the damned you could have settled with. You chose her!?"
"Mom, you don't understand. A lot happened while you were gone and Vee and I love each other," Clara feels the stinging sensation running across her face.
"Your sister and I died because of her! Have you forgotten that?"
The puffy-haired Carmine looks down. "No… but, Mom, please just listen—"
"Enough!" the matriarch snaps. "You will not contact that damn Vee anymore. Any daughter of mine who insists on affiliating themselves with a Vee will no longer be a Carmine," her eyes narrow. "Have I made myself clear?"
Clara glances up. "Yes, Mom."
"Good," Carmilla then walks away, heading back to her office.
NOTE: Here's the final entry to my AU. This is not planned to be a long one. Just one last little treat to finish things off.
NOTE 2: Sorry for the lack of updates on any of my stories. I was actually on a roll with my writing before suddenly felt down and not up to it for some reason. Not sure what it was but I haven't even bothered checking on the sight. I'm still not entirely there but I am better. Can't promise updates as often as I used to, but I'll do what I can.
