Emerald Forest (Afternoon)

When Ruby opened her eyes, she saw something incredible. Weiss and Russo were protecting her from the Deathstalker and Weaver respectively. Her new partner had trapped the Deathstalker's tail with a conjured wall of ice, while her brother was using his sword to block the Weaver's fangs.

"Take this, you overgrown arachnid!" Russo shouted as Vesuvius opened up, triggering an explosion that left the Weaver staggering. "Yararara!"

"Has anyone ever told you that your brother is terrifying?" Blake asked Yang, unnerved by how familiar that red light looked to her.

"Yeah, they have." Yang said, recalling several instances where Russo had won battles both against Grimm and other people with excessive force. "He doesn't like to hold back, is all."

Ruby, Russo, and Weiss returned to the main group. "So, what's the plan?" Sapphire asked.

"Well, we have three Grimm and 12 people, so splitting into three teams of four sounds like the best course of action." Welter said, analyzing the situation.

"That Weaver is mine." Sapphire said, his eyes glowing blue.

"Not if I kill it first." Russo said with a grin.

"Well, that's settled." Welter said. "Sapphire, his partner, Russo, and I will take care of the Weaver."

"Yarara! This is gonna be fun!" Russo said, his left eye burning bright.

"We should probably get out of here." Ruby said. "Everyone, follow me!" Everyone apart from Russo, Welter, Ivy, and Sapphire ran back towards Beacon. The Deathstalker and Nevermore followed after them, leaving the Weaver with the ones that cut off its leg and nearly blowing it up.

"So, what's your name?" Russo asked his brother's partner.

"Ivy." the girl answered.

"Well Ivy, wanna see something cool?" the blonde asked with a grin. Ivy reluctantly nodded, prompting Russo to take a few steps forward while covering his weapon in flames. Laughing wildly, he swung his blade, shooting a crescent-shaped beam of fire that exploded against the Weaver's bony armor.

'What in the hell?' Ivy thought to herself.

"My turn." Welter said with a smirk. With a flourish, he brought out a cane from his sleeve. The cane was mostly gold with an emerald on one end, and a spear tip at the other. The boy formed a glyph under himself, then stabbed the spear into it. Another glyph appeared above the Weaver, and dozens of glowing green needles flew out and halted the Grimm's advance.

"Round two, you big bug!" Sapphire shouted, stabbing one of his scythe-blades into the ground. A trail of ice extended from the weapon until it reached the Weaver, throwing off its balance. With an upwards slash, the boy caused spikes of ice rise from the frozen ground and break the remaining seven legs of the Grimm.

"Ivy, would you like to do the honors?" Russo asked.

The girl stared blankly into space for a few seconds, trying to process what she'd seen. When the question finally registered, she shook her head and raised her weapons. "Sure, let's go." Ivy's eyes began to glow yellow as she ran towards the Weaver, leaping into the air and stabbing her blades into its skull. Using Lightning Dust, she electrocuted the beast with the full force of a lightning strike, reducing it to ashes.

"Well, that was impressive." Russo said with a smile. "Let's head back to Beacon before we have to fight any more monsters."

'Beacon?' Ivy thought to herself, remembering the name. 'What the hell did I get myself into?'

Beacon Auditorium (Evening)

"Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the White Rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team JNPR." Ozpin said to the four students. "Led by Jaune Arc!"

This made Jaune gulp in terror. He couldn't be the leader, right? Pyrrha "gently" punched her new leader, but accidentally knocked him over.

"Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xiao-Long. The four of you retrieved the White Knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team RWBY. Led by Ruby Rose!"

Weiss looked at her new leader in shock. SHE was supposed to lead them. Yang couldn't help but hug her sister and tell her how proud she was.

"Sapphire Rose, Welter Schnee, Ivy Verdant, Russo Xiao-Long. The four of you retrieved the White King pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team XISR. Led by Russo Xiao-Long!"

Sapphire was speechless. His moronic brother is their LEADER!? Russo could feel the icy glare his brother was giving him just by understanding what his personality was like.

"Things are shaping up to be an interesting year." Ozpin said as Sapphire chased his brother off the stage.

Team XISR Dorm (Night)

"Room 2401. This is ours." Russo said as he opened the door. All of their luggage that they brought to Beacon was already present, so all they needed to do now was unpack. However, there was something missing. "Uh, Ivy. I think the airline lost your luggage."

"Uh, I'm sure it'll be okay." the girl said, nervous. "I'm used to roughing it. I can make do with what I have now and the school uniform."

"If you say so." Sapphire said as he sat down on a bed and unpacked his suitcase.

"I think I'm gonna turn in now. It's been a long day." Russo said, collapsing face-first onto a bed. Looking closer, Ivy discovered that her new leader was asleep already.

"Does he do this often?" the girl asked.

"Yes." Sapphire and Welter said in unison.

"My brother knows two things. Fighting and sleeping." Sapphire explained. "If you ask him to do anything else, you're outta luck."

After everything was unpacked, the two boys got changed into their pajamas and got to sleep. Ivy got into bed as well, but she couldn't sleep. Her mind kept returning to what happened to her before she found herself in the Emerald Forest.

'I really hope this wasn't a bad decision.' she said to herself.
