In Class 1-M's dormitory...

Marinette walked all of the way to her room, holding onto the grimoire pretty tightly. Once she entered her room, she felt like she could relax. She threw the grimoire onto her bed and flopped onto her bed. She laid there on it for a good while, just wondering how Midoriya was feeling. Marinette felt bad that she couldn't do something right away.

She never thought that Midoriya would ever be in this sort of situation. All she could think about was Adrien and his mom. What he went through was really tough for him. Now Midoriya was going through the same thing along with his classmates. She couldn't let this happen again.

Marinette sat up and grabbed the grimoire. She placed it on top of her desk and opened it to skim through it.

"Marinette, you should be going to bed. You should some rest as well," Tikki said to her.

"Yes. I know, but I've gotta at least look through it for a little bit," Marinette explained to her Kwami, "Something about this is similar to what happened with Adrien and his mom. I can't let that happen to Izuku too."

As she skimmed through the pages however, she didn't quite know what she was looking for. Or at least, where to look. A lot of these pages were coded, so it was hard to find the right recipes to fix a Miraculous. She's used this book before, but not for fixing something as elaborate or complicated as a Miraculous.

Then she realized that there was someone that actually knew how to fix it. She felt sick to her stomach just thinking about him. Marinette couldn't even believe that she was even considering him to help them somehow.

"Gabriel Agreste," Marinette said to Tikki, "He's the only one that can help us fix Izuku's Miraculous."

"No Marinette. You can't trust him," Tikki said back, "He works with Chrysalis."

"Yeah, but if he knows what's going on, he might not want the same thing to happen to Lila," Marinette said to her Kwami, "He did do all of this just to get his wife back. He might actually be willing to help us this time around."

"Marinette. I understand what you're saying, but it's still too dangerous," Tikki said to her.

"I know but it's the only way we can fix Izuku's Miraculous. I don't want to work with him either, but I at least need to try," Marinette said back.

Tikki let out a sigh and floated by her side.

"I'm with you, Marinette. Just, be careful around him. He could planning something," Tikki said to her.

"I will."

As Marinette skimmed through the grimoire, she couldn't quite find anything. Once she felt a yawn coming on, she closed it to get some rest. Before she even made it to the bed, she remembered the letter she sent to Alya. Her eyes widened in shock and quickly transformed without even warning Tikki about it.

Ladybug took out her yo-yo and opened it up. A pink glow came out of it, and she looked at it like something might come out of it. She took a deep breath in and out and reached into her yo-yo's glow. Her hand went into it, and she didn't notice anything at first. She reached in there, expecting to find something. The fact that she couldn't find her letter made her wonder if Alya had gotten hers. Just as she was about to give up on searching for something, she felt something touch her fingertips.

Her eyes widened in shock and hesitated to grab it. She thought maybe it was her letter. Then she took it out and immediately noticed the letter was sealed inside of an envelope. It was even written, Marinette on the front. She smiled with so much joy that it actually worked.

"Alya..."

Ladybug felt tears coming over her as her hands shook as she held it. She missed her so much that her handwriting was enough to make her cry. She hesitated to open it, but was somehow able to do so. She took out the letter and opened it up.

~Marinette,

I got your letter! I didn't even know that you could do that! I'm so glad that Zoe made it over there safely. I can tell that you're almost there with Chyrsalis and HawkMoth. I know that you can do it, Marinette. You're a great leader and hero, especially since you're going to U.A.! This school sounds amazing! I wish that I could be there with you! Right now, Paris is pretty quiet and less chaotic. It's weird not having you and HawkMoth around.

I hope that you get this letter! Your parents are very supportive and are just happy to hear from you!

Please come home soon girl!

Love, Alya xoxo

P.S. Please tell everyone that I miss them! Especially Nino 3

Ladybug hadn't even realized that she was crying while reading the letter. She wiped her tears away and didn't want to let go of this letter. She really missed her best friend so much, and she actually got her letter from her. Marinette didn't think that she'd ever get a letter from Alya anytime soon. She knew that the letter went over to the Miracle Box, so Alya must've been in her room at one point.

"Alya... I miss you so much..." Ladybug said to her through the letter.

She went over to her desk, grabbed a piece of paper and pencil to write something down. Ladybug had to get back to her, but this time take her time with what she wanted to write down. Ladybug took her time and thought about what to say to her. Things have changed with Midoriya and Chrysalis, so she wondered if she could do anything on her end that might help. Ladybug had never even thought about that and wondered if Alya could send over a Miraculous if she needed a specific power.

For now, all she could think about sending her another letter. After a while of writing, Ladybug looked at her letter, feeling pretty satisfied.

Dear Alya,

It worked! I can send you letters! I miss you so much! I wish you were here with me, helping me deal with Chrysalis and HawkMoth. Some things have come up with Izuku and Chrysalis. It turns out that his Miraculous is damaged, and I've gotta fix it somehow. The problem is that I have to get HawkMoth's help. I know what you're thinking, that I shouldn't trust him. But I have to do something to help Izuku and fast. If there's anything that you could think of that might help me, that would be great! I'm glad things are settling down pretty well in Paris.

Please let everyone know that I miss them so much! I'll be back when Mei fixes the portal! That's who built it! She's really cool!

~Marinette xoxo

P.S. Thank you so much for everything! Zoe's been a great help!

Ladybug smiled and grabbed an envelope and put it in. Once she sealed it, she wrote Alya's name on it. She looked at it with so much joy and opened up her yo-yo to place it into. The envelope made it tougher to put in, but she was able to push it in without damaging the letter. She closed her yo-yo, feeling pretty satisfied with what she's done tonight.

"Tikki spots off," Ladybug said as she detransformed into her school uniform.

"Marinette, you could've warned me first before transforming," Tikki said to her as she rubbed her head.

"Sorry Tikki. It's just that Alya sent me a letter! It actually worked!" Marinette cried out, "I was able to send her letter through the Miracle Box! Isn't that crazy? Everyone is Japan wasn't even able to get texts or calls through their phone when they were stuck in Paris!"

"That's great Marinette!" Tikki exclaimed, "It makes sense since Miraculous are pretty universally strong."

"This is crazy! Alya could actually send me anything I need at a moments notice if I needed to," Marinette said to her, "Of course, she'd have to know about it ahead of time."

Marinette yawned, which caught Tikki's attention.

"Marinette, go to bed. You're clearly exhausted," Tikki said to her.

Marinette didn't even argue with her and settled down as she quickly put her pajamas on. Once she got ready to go to sleep, Tikki was already laying down in her little bed by her pillow. Marinette laid down once she shut off her light.

"Goodnight Tikki," Marinette said to her Kwami and rubbed the top of her head.

"Goodnight Marinette," Tikki said back as the Kwami laid down.

Marinette got comfy in her bed and thought about what Alya might possibly be doing right now. She couldn't help but smile, knowing that Alya was much closer than she initially thought.

"Goodnight Alya."

In Class 1-M's dormitory...

After classes and hero training, Marinette sat in the common room going through the grimoire, other books that Zoe brought over and recipes that she herself decoded. Even Midoriya sat with her, hoping to help her find some answers. Some Class 1-A classmates came over to help out, and even helped some Class 1-M classmates with some homework.

Midoriya didn't get to hero train today because Mr. Aizawa didn't want him to push himself with the Miraculous being damaged. He really wanted to hero train considering how far he's come, but he understood. Midoriya let out a sigh, thinking about Mr. Aizawa.

"Are you okay Izuku?" Marinette asked him as she looked up from the grimoire, "I hope those headaches aren't bothering you today."

"No. It's just... I wish I could work on some hero training," Midoriya said to her, "Mr. Aizawa wanted me to sit out today. I understand what he's saying, but we've come so far with it. You, me and Cat Noir have been improving a lot and now..."

"Izuku, don't worry about it so much," Marinette said to him, "Mr. Aizawa is just looking out for you. You should be lucky that he's even letting you help out with this stuff. At least he's still letting you come over and go to school. Adrien didn't really get to do any of that."

Midoriya could tell that he might've hit a nerve with her and pulled back a bit. He felt a little bad for Adrien, and he could tell that Marinette took the things that happened to him very seriously. It clearly bothered her a lot, and he felt bad for complaining.

"I'm sorry Marinette. I didn't mean to make you upset," Midoriya said to her, "I just really wanted to improve on hero training. That's all. I didn't even know that my Miraculous being damaged would do this to me."

Marinette looked up at him and let out a sigh.

"I understand. I just... I didn't think I'd be doing something like this... with you," Marinette explained to him, "Although I should've expected it since you are kind of known for getting into trouble and running off."

Midoriya felt his face turn bright red from embarrassment and scratched the back of his head. He couldn't blame her for thinking that considering all that he's done, even before he went to Paris it tended to happen a lot.

"Yeah. Maybe I should take a break," Midoriya said as he got up from the coffee table, "Do you want anything Marinette?"

"Just iced tea, thanks," Marinette said back as she skimmed through the grimoire.

Midoriya let out a sigh and went over to the kitchen to grab something to eat. Everyone was trying to focus on homework, but then noticed Midoriya looking a little distraught. They could tell that finding the recipe for the damaged Miraculous wasn't going very well. Adrien looked at his other ring and noticed that the inside of it was still poisoned. Adrien really wanted to tell Marinette about what was going on, but couldn't find the right timing. He sat up and wanted to help out him and Midoriya. Then he looked at Marinette and noticed how intense her eyes were.

Something about seeing her like this made him feel bad for telling her even more bad news. He couldn't do that to do her. He would figure out a different way to go about this.

Midoriya grabbed two cups of iced tea from the fridge and some leftover macarons from the dinner party. He put them on a plate so that they could share.

"No luck finding a recipe?" Nino asked from across the dining room.

"No. Nothing," Midoriya said back with a disappointed sigh, "I just wish there was an easier way to find these recipes. They're all in codes. It seems like only the person who wrote them can find them."

"Yeah. That's gotta be a little annoying," Kaminari said to him, "At least Marinette can figure out some of them. I'm sure she'll find something sooner or later."

"I just hope we can figure this out sooner than expected," Midoriya said to them, "These headaches are getting annoying."

Adrien flinched when Midoriya mentioned the headaches, and Midoriya had noticed it. He avoided eye contact with him and felt bad for him that he even brought it up in the first place. Iida got up and walked over to Midoriya to get some orange juice. Midoriya took a big sip of his iced tea and felt that a little twitch in his eye as he drank it.

"Midoriya. You shouldn't talk about these sort of things. Not in front of Adrien," Iida said to Midoriya as he poured himself some orange juice.

"I know. I just don't know anything about him or his mom," Midoriya explained as he let out a sigh, "I know that Jirou helped him find out about it. I even went into that garden when I was captured by HawkMoth, but I still know nothing about what she went through. I just feel bad for Adrien that he didn't know anything about this for a long time."

"Even so, you should know better than to bring this stuff up around him," Iida told him, "Ever since we find out what was going on, he's been quiet about it. He really wants to help, but he's worried about you."

Midoriya felt his shoulders slump and looked up at Adrien. Adrien was looking at him, so when he spotted him staring at him he nonchalantly looked away and went back to his homework. Midoriya could tell that Adrien was keeping his distance from him and didn't know how to handle this sort of thing. If Adrien felt more comfortable being with his friends and working on his homework, then he'll let him do that.

Midoriya grabbed his iced tea and macarons and walked by him. Adrien tried not to look at him, and Midoriya felt the need to say something to him. Once he passed by him, he decided to not say anything. He didn't want to make things more awkward between them. Midoriya placed the iced tea and macarons on the coffee table, and Marinette took a sip of her iced tea.

"Thanks Izuku," Marinette said to him, "I really need to find this recipe, but this isn't something that I usually use it for. I don't even know where to look."

"Well, if it's to fix a Miraculous, then maybe it would be in Ladybug's page. You know, the power of Creation and it can fix anything," Midoriya explained as he looked with her.

"Yeah, but I can't find it in there anywhere," Marinette said to him, "I looked through the Ladybug page and it's not there. I even looked in HawkMoth's page since he did fix the Peacock Miraculous a long time ago. It might in there, but I can't figure out the codes. The Ladybug codes come easier to me than the other ones."

Midoriya was surprised to hear this and thought that she could figure them out pretty easily with her being the Guardian of the Miraculous and all. Then he thought about getting help from someone else and got sick to his stomach just thinking about it.

"Maybe we should get help from someone else," Midoriya said to her, a little nervous as to how she might react.

"Who? There's no one else that can decode these," Marinette explained and then looked up at Midoriya, "Unless..."

She looked at Midoriya, and he knew that she had figured out what he meant by getting some help.

"Izuku, I know what you're thinking. I even thought about it too," Marinette admitted, "But we can't bring Gabriel into this. He can't be trusted, and you know that too."

"Yeah, but he's the only one that actually fixed a Miraculous, right?" Midoriya asked her.

Marinette didn't want to answer him, but he was right. He's the only one who was able to do it.

"Yes. He did," Marinette said to him, "I guess he might understand with Lila holding the damaged Miraculous. He wouldn't want it to happen again."

"Exactly. He'd definitely help us with Lila being in trouble," Midoriya said to her, "We should go now before curfew."

"Wait, right now? There's no way that Mr. Aizawa is going to let us do this," Marinette said to him as he got up, "Maybe we should wait until tomorrow morning."

"Marinette, I can't keep delaying this. With Lila holding the Miraculous, these headaches and dizzy spells keep getting worse," Midoriya explained to her, "We're going to have to do this now."

Marinette could tell that when Midoriya got up, he got a little dizzy. Just seeing him dizzy like that was enough to get up and head out. She brought the grimoire with her and put it in her backpack. She noticed that everyone was watching them leave, but didn't want to bring any attention as to what they were planning on doing.

"Marinette, Midoriya, where are you two going?" Iida asked them, "It's a little late to be leaving the dormitory."

"Yeah. We're just going back to the dormitory," Midoriya explained to him, "I just need to grab something that might us figure out these codes. We'll be right back."

Iida looked a little bit suspicious, but let them go anyway.

"Fine. But be back soon," Iida said to them, "I don't want Mr. Aizawa to get upset again."

Midoriya and Marinette walked out of Class 1-M's dormitory and headed over to Class 1-A's dormitory. Marinette and Midoriya felt a little nervous to walking into this, especially with Gabriel possibly being their only option out of this.

Midoriya knew that this would help him and Lila. Maybe even stop Chrysalis.

Adrien wanted to talk to Marinette, but she left before he could say anything. He looked at some leftover recipes and wondered if he could do anything himself. Without her around, he didn't know what he could do.

He at least hoped that this poison would subside soon.

Another amazing chapter!

I like where this is going, especially with Midoriya and Marinette. They're going to have to get help from Gabriel it seems. I like how things are turning out for this story right now. These past few chapters have been a lot of fun! From the mutation, to the mysterious person, to the dinner party to this! I just love how well it flowed together! Somehow we got to Midoriya's Miraculous getting damaged, and I love it! It's just so much fun seeing how well it's progressed. I hope you're liking it so far!

Adrien needs to find a way to get rid of this poison.

What's going to happen next??

More to come soon!
