Melone71009: "I now want to touch you in a good way"
Bro…
Just an Anime Fan: "Was Jesus a sorcerer of some kind? What was his technique?"
Since your questions are good, I'll answer them both; even if they were on an older chapter.
To answer the first one; maybe he was? Besides resurrection of some kind, I can't really think up a cursed technique for him. The reason why the Spear of Longinus's origin is that way is because it follows the rules of the world in a similar way to the three vengeful cursed spirits from the main series. Those 3 vengeful cursed spirits were actually real people that the Japanese created legends about; and I figured western religions would follow suit.
Just an Anime Fan: "adam will regret his Choice of sparing Kenjaku. Also I'm assuming they were just some weak special grades like fingerbearers (even then it's weird because they're super strong) but yeah.
Alright so, I have a couple questions but I'll make only two:
1-Can theoretically MC surpass sukuna and Gojo in stats if he levels up and prestige's enough times?
2-how Adam beat 20 special grade curses when even one of them should be as strong as a finger bearer?
I really want to ask too about Jesus (cursed technique, how he became immortalized as a god and if he's stronger than sukuna) since you mentioned the spear that killed Jesus being a mythical special grade tool but I don't think you have answers for that
Also critiques: I think the story is pacing a bit too fast there's been 8 months already, MC deals with trauma a bit too quickly, and I feel like there are some personality shifts, specially with Megumi being strangely sociable. Mc's power is also weird in why it exists as a game screen it sounds too specific even if he can shape his soul infinitely. Also, why does shaping his soul allows him infinite power, Mahito had that and he didn't had infinite power"
Yes, he probably will regret his choice; but he doesn't know what the man is capable of just yet outside of his ability to control high ranking cursed spirits. As explained in the chapter, he's currently keeping him alive so they don't go berserk without his control.
Uhhh, Adam didn't defeat them. He defeated the one that was placed inside the barrier with him and the civilians, sure, but that was while it was still forming and hadn't gained awareness of its surroundings; kinda like attacking someone who just woke up from a coma.
Yes, Adam could potentially surpass Gojo and Sukuna if he was to level up enough.
Adam did not defeat 20 special grade cursed spirits, Kenjaku summoned them as a distraction while he made his escape, and then recalled them as soon as he was a safe distance away.
The answer for your Jesus question is similar to your first review; maybe I'll explore it more in the future, perhaps as a catalyst for a new arc or something after the culling games, but right now all I can say is that is notoriety would definitely feed into his power as a cursed spirit or curse user.
For your first critique, I don't really understand. The story started at the end of April and is just now heading into June (the date of this chapter is June 5th, if I remember correctly) so I'm not sure where you got 8 months from. In regards to trauma, people simply don't wanna read all that stuff. If I was taking this from a more real and angsty standpoint, each kill or mission would be sending Adam into a deeper depression until he eventually killed himself in order to run away from the horrors of both Jujutsu society and the abandonment he faced by his family. The story is rated T because I don't plan on writing those heavy mental anguish scenes and because I'm more focused on writing a sort of Male power fantasy fic that this category needed.
I think I talked about this in a previous response to a review, but yes, I'm not too good at sticking with canon personalities for characters. Megumi is strangely sociable here, and Gojo is probably a bit too serious, but I'm not quite sure how to fix that, and I don't exactly plan to when I'm this far into the story.
I'm not quite sure what your critique is here with the game screen stuff. You clicked on a fic called 'Cursed Gamer' man, the power of the main character is going to be based on a video game. If you're asking for an in world reason on why it's a video game screen, it's very possible that it's a vestigial mutation of a cursed technique from the Pendragon family; perhaps one of Adam's ancestors (maybe even King Arthur) had the ability to improve themself beyond normal capabilities through training. I'm not sure if you've read the manga, but it has been shown in there that older cursed techniques can change or take on new forms in the modern age in response to the world around the user.
For your final question, it's a very simple answer. Idle transfiguration allows Mahito to manipulate and change the soul, Status Increase allows Adam to strengthen his soul to an unnatural degree in a variety of ways that break the rules of the world in most cases.
That's all for the reviews this time, thank you for reading!
P.S make sure you read the bottom of the chapter this time.
"You better drop those goddamn hands, Fushigoro." Both occupants of the rooftop felt their heads snap towards the source of the new voice, a boy with snow white hair and glowing orange eyes. He was wearing a button down white shirt with a pair of black trousers that were ripped around his calves. A thin veil of sweat coated the side of his smirking face that was partially covered by one of his pale palms.
"Adam? Gojo?" Fushigoro's mop of spiky black hair fluttered slightly as he shook his head. "What're you even doing here? I thought you were out shopping?" Gojo laughed good naturedly as he whipped out his phone and took a picture of the boy's injured form, making sure to pan the camera enough for it to capture the large gash splattered across his forehead. "And you, where the hell have you been?" Fushigoro ignored his teacher's antics in favor of settling a glare onto his friend's form.
"Well, I was a bit busy." Adam held up a vertical palm with a smile. "That curse user that ambushed us came for me again." Fushigoro slumped over tiredly.
"How do you always manage to get into stuff like that?" He murmured quietly, just loud enough for everyone around him to hear. Adam laughed awkwardly at the boy's words before beginning to walk towards the last occupant of the roof.
"You're the religious guy…" Itadori sported two new marks under his eyes, one on either side of his face. They looked simple, just thin lines that did well to hide the maliciousness dwelling below.
"Ah, that was a lie." Adam replied boredly. "I'm actually a jujutsu sorcerer like Fushigoro here." He flicked a thumb back at the boy behind him before opening his mouth to continue, only to be interrupted by Gojo clapping his hands.
"The higher ups got all pissy when they heard about one of Sukuna's fingers being here." Gojo answered in response Fushigoro's long ignored question. "Since we already collected one today, it won't be too bad if we lose the other; I'd still prefer it if you handed it over though." The man held out his hand patiently towards his student, who only stared at him blankly before glancing at Itadori. Gojo followed his gaze towards the shirtless boy, barely sparing a glance at his well built body before huffing.
"Uh, sorry." He suddenly apologized. "I kinda ate it…" Everybody on the roof froze at the sudden declaration.
"For real?" Gojo asked.
"For real." Fushigoro and Itadori replied. Adam blinked in surprise several times before closing in on the boy with narrowed eyes. Gojo leaned right over his shoulder and stared with his own covered eyes. Itadori leaned back slightly to avoid further intrusion into his personal space, but he was stopped due to the edge right below his heels.
Suddenly, a wide grin formed on Gojo's face as he laughed quietly to himself. "Damn, they really are connected! That's hilarious!" He said cheerfully. "Alrighty." He backed up towards the middle of the roof and began to stretch. "You can switch with him right? Sukuna?"
"Uhh, who?" Adam narrowed his eyes even further before huffing and turning away.
"That finger you ate, it was one of his." Gojo replied.
"Oh! Then…I think I can…" Itadori massaged his shoulder for a moment before breathing in a short breath.
"Good, switch with him. Ten seconds is all I'll need." Adam perked up slightly, something that did not go unnoticed by Fushigoro.
"Adam, no." He growled. The white haired boy remained unperturbed though as he turned to their shared teacher and put his hands together.
"Please lord Gojo sensei, allow me to fight the mighty king of curses." He mockingly pleaded. Despite having barely a fifth of his reserves remaining, he was interested in the chance to fight the king of curses; opportunities for XP like this didn't come around often, if ever, if the hype behind the king was to be believed.
"Hmmm, what do you think, Megumi?" Gojo laughed at the scowl that instantly formed on the boy's face. A swift shake of his head only accentuated his feelings regarding the question. "Hmmm, I shall take your opinion into account while accepting Adam's proposal." He barely looked down when he felt Adam rummaging around his pocket for something before swiftly pulling his clenched fist back out and turning towards Itadori.
"Alright, summon him in!" He ordered cheerfully. Itadori looked between the three of the sorcerers, focusing for a few moments on Fushigoro's pleading look before shaking his head.
"I don't think that's a good idea." He replied blankly. "I don't know much about curses and all of that stuff, but this Sukuna guy sounds really strong."
"Haha, don't worry about that. If I see anything go wrong, I'll step in. He isn't very much of a threat compared to me." Gojo appeared behind Adam's shoulder and slapped a hand down onto it. Itadori still seemed unconvinced, but eventually took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
Gojo turned away to walk towards Fushigoro, leaving his back completely exposed to Itadori and Adam. Meanwhile, black marks began to slowly fade into Itadori's skin, covering his torso in two broken strips of black while intricate patterns of tar colored markings covered his arms. A sudden gust of wind almost sent Fushigoro rolling backwards as the newly incarnated Sukuna blasted past Adam with an insane grin.
"Not much of a threat!?" His tone was insane and dripping with malice. Before his clawed hands could reach the teacher's back however, he felt a hand wrap around his ankle and tear him back.
"Wow, ignoring your opponent?" Adam grunted in exertion as he swung his arm outwards and let go, sending Sukuna far into the air over the practice field. "How rude!" The King of Curses recovered mid-air and grinned maliciously.
Adam shot off of the roof and into the air, his hands snapped out instantly, each finger being covered in small balls of cursed energy that were quickly coalescing into threads. Sukuna responded by flicking his right arm across his body, his cursed energy only flaring up momentarily as his grin grew ever wider.
"This is by far the stupidest thing you've ever allowed." Fushigoro growled. He was still seated on the ground, with each of his words being separated by a heaving breath in a pitiful attempt to refuel his lungs.
"Hmm, no, I don't think so." Gojo replied quietly, his eyes intently watching the mid-air exchange happening before them. "There was that one time with the–"
"Don't bring that up." Fushigoro interrupted instantly. A loud sigh of exhaustion left his throat before he narrowed his eyes on the two fighters. "Adam is playing it safe." He commented aloud.
"Yeah, he is." Gojo nodded in agreement. "I thought he might underestimate him with the way he was acting before, but with how heavy he has gone on the reinforcements." He trailed off with a small smile.
"So he's testing the waters a bit?" Fushigoro looked up at his mentor who nodded once again. "Is that really a smart thing to do against the King of Curses of all people? He could probably kill him in one attack."
"Actually, it's because it's the King of Curses he's fighting that makes this strategy so smart." Gojo explained in response. "He knows that Sukuna is only at a 20th of his strength, so he's learning all of his moves and such now so if he has to fight him in the future he'll be prepared."
"But if he's only at a 20th of his strength, will he even have enough power to use all of his attacks?" Fushigoro asked. The King of Curses he may be, but there was no way in hell somebody at only a fraction of their strength could possibly use all of their abilities.
Gojo scoffed quietly. "This is the King of Curses we're talking about, just at a glance I can tell he could probably open his domain 3 or 4 times." Gojo frowned slightly as he saw Sukuna rear back his arm before swiping it forward. "He's also holding back though."
Adam's jaw would've dropped if he hadn't grit his teeth in pain. "Well hot damn! Maybe you were worth the hype!" With the bottom half of his forearms and by extension hands cleaved off, Adam grinned; this was what he wanted, expected, from someone like Sukuna. In an instant, he flicked his stumps outwards and regrew his arms, using the new hands to form hundreds of thin strings.
Sukuna's shoes hit the ground with a rough thump, which was quickly followed by a loud scuffing sound as he slid backwards to stave off the momentum he'd incurred from the throw. "Impressive, a brat like you using reversed cursed technique. Maybe this era isn't as bad as I thought." Any other words he planned on saying were interrupted by dozens of blue strings crashing into the ground around him, effectively cutting off any escape he could have tried to make.
Adam landed on the ground with a wide smile and his left fist hanging behind his shoulder. "Lets see how your defense is, Sukuna!" Sukuna smirked as he slid to the side, the strings would be nowhere near strong enough to hold him back. As soon as his back hit the side of the cage however, he was shot straight back into the middle.
With his side now open due to the surprisingly bouncy cage he'd shot off of, Sukuna grit his teeth and prepared for impact. As cursed energy flooded his ribs in an attempt at defense, he was thoroughly surprised when the fist instead connected with his shoulder, sending him straight back into the barrier.
Adam's smile grew even wider as the rebound sent Sukuna spinning around, leaving his back clearly exposed for a full force side kick across the spine. 'Cursed tendril, my very first skill.' Adam thought with a fond expression. Sukuna bounced against the cage once again, and this time was met with another fist to the jaw that sent him reeling backwards, an action that once again caused him to fly straight into another strike. 'Everytime I level you up, you just get more versatile.' His knee crashed into the King of Curses' ribs, causing the man to flinch backwards in pain, therefore resulting in him being set up for another punch. 'From movement through your flexible properties, to attacking due to the razor sharpness I can imbue, all the way to elasticity that's perfect traps and acrobatics, is there anything you can't do?'
Sukuna growled in anger while flicking out both of his arms, sending out dozens of tiny invisible slashes towards the cage he was trapped within. The strings immediately snapped, but not in the way he hoped; instead of dissolving into the air like he'd planned for them to do, they all snapped back inwards and wrapped around his limbs, forcing him to eat one final blow before he could escape the boy's grasp.
-New skill formed! Cursed tendril; Cage [1/100]-
An advanced application of the [Cursed tendril] skill in which the user utilizes the elasticity provided by a level 70 tendril to entrap the opponent in a springy cage.
Due to the complicated creation it requires a large amount of brainpower and constant attention to maintain; not only that, one hand must remain free in order for the strings to not be disturbed.
[You have leveled up!]
[You are now level 20!]
Adam's entire body snapped to attention as his cage enacted its secondary countermeasure. With his right hand now free, Adam flexed his fingers before wrapping them into a tight fist and launching it forward. Sukuna's eyes widened as the boy's knuckles slammed into his sternum in a shower of black sparks. "Black flash!"
Sukuna's jaw opened, giving way to a river of blood that splattered across Adam's shirt sleeve, an event the boy cringed in response to. "Come on man, this is new!" He hastily retrieved his hand and tried to throw away the droplets, only to receive a punch in the side of the face for his lack of focus. The boy grinned ferally as he felt one of his molars fly out of his jaw before it was replaced by an exact copy just as quickly. With a twist of his body, he shot a punch right back, nailing the King of Curses in the cheek with a right hook.
"You damn–" Adam slammed his left fist into the man's side with a laugh. "Brat!" Sukuna threw a perfectly placed punch into the middle of Adam's nose, grinning viciously as a sickening crunch echoed across the battlefield. That grin immediately fell flat as Adam slammed his reared back head into King's nose, forcing the man to stumble backwards as another kick hit him in the side.
"Heal yourself, I wanna keep going." Adam ordered with a smile. Sukuna growled in response, throwing out a clawed hand towards the boy's face, the attack barely stopped short, but that didn't pause his technique from attempting to split Adam's face into 5 even parts. Regrettably for the King, Adam's face glowed brightly for barely a moment as the slashes were stopped in their tracks by reinforced skin. "Heal."
Sukuna spat up another glob of blood before smirking. "No." His words almost sounded like that of a defiant child's. "Your plan is obvious, so obvious in fact that I'm appalled that even something like you would come up with it."
"Something like me, you say?" Adam replied with a smile. "I'm not quite sure what that means, but I'm 100% human."
"As if." Sukuna threw a fist forward, an attack easily caught by Adam's palm. "Something like you can't be considered human, you're no less of a beast than me or that other one. Of course, a mindless, pitiful beast nowhere near my level." Sukuna's hand snapped forward and latched around Adam's dozens of slashes escaping his palm. Adam grunted in pain as his arm was diced into small pieces, leaving not even bone as the slashes flew through his bicep before dissipating into their air behind him.
With another grunt, Adam regenerated his arm and used it to punch Sukuna across the face. "Itadori, switch back. We can get you healed later or something." The fact the boy was probably going to be executed instead of healed was left out of the boy's order.
Sukuna's tattoos quickly dissipated giving way to fresh pale skin only slightly stained with blood from Adam's punches. Itadori, newly awoken, immediately started yelling in pain and doubled over with his arms over his stomach. "You hit so damn hard!" He yelled.
Adam laughed awkwardly at the boy's proclamation before waving up to his teacher and friend. "We're done here! He kinda needs medical, but I'm all good to go." Despite his words, Adam saw the panel laying on the corner of his vision showing his cursed energy levels as dangerously low; just under a single percent of their maximum.
The boy was forced to guard his eyes from the dust formed by Gojo's sudden appearance on the dirt next to him. "Good stuff, Adam!" Itadori snapped to attention at the man's sudden appearance, only to be met by a single finger tapping against his forehead, an action that sent him straight into unconsciousness.
"Did you also do that to all of those civilians earlier?" Adam asked, knowing the answer would be a negative one. He'd clearly forgotten about them, just as the boy had with the prospect of fighting Sukuna sitting in front of him. "Because they're about to be set free from my hold, cursed energy running out and all that."
"Oh, shit." Gojo muttered in realization.
Fushigoro looked confused, his eyes snapping between the two with a slowly growing frown. It took a few more moments for the words to settle in before Fushigoro's frown deepened into a frustrated scowl, "you didn't." he growled.
"He did." Adam slapped his palm against his face before retrieving his phone and sending out a call. "Yeah, Gojo Satoru messed up with a message not being sent out and there are now over 60 civilians running around with recordings of curse based activity." Conveniently throwing the blame onto his teacher, Adam turned towards his friend and held out a thumbs up. "Thank you for this, Fushigoro."
"Huh?" The boy was surprised when his friend's eyes suddenly rolled back into his head and he fell forward into his grasp. "Oh for crying out loud." Despite his annoyed tone, Fushigoro kept a tight hold on his friend before transitioning into a fireman's carry after a quick spin. "I'm taking him to Ijichi's car, you can deal with Itadori and what other messes you made."
Gojo broke out of his frozen state with a yell. "Why the hell did he throw the blame onto me!?" The man quickly threw Itadori over his shoulder before beginning to make a few calls.
"And so, we're not killing him!" Gojo gestures to Yuji with a wide grin, one not matched by either Adam nor Fushigoro. Despite shared expressions, they held them for entirely different reasons to each other.
"So he's just going to be killed later?" Adam replied, shifting onto one of his feet with a wince.
"Okay." Fushigoro said blandly.
Gojo ignored his black haired student's uncaring response in favor of shooting a thumbs up at Adam. "Spot on!" His cheerful demeanour completely betrayed what should've been a grim subject. "Any who! We're heading to Tokyo!" He raised his arms in cheer, an action instantly mimicked by Itadori, who flinched at the sudden movement due to his injuries.
They'd long been bandaged and treated, but that didn't mean they didn't hurt or need time healing. "So energetic." Adam said tiredly, ushering an arm up to his eye in order to wipe away the sleep. "For someone who barely slept outside of the taxi ride to the hospital, you're rather hyper." Itadori smiled abashedly at the boy's words, using one of his hands to scratch his hair.
"Well, it's what my Grandpa would've wanted." He replied happily. The three sorcerers around him recognized the melancholic look that slipped on his face prior to that blinding smile; it was one of sorrow and despair, something anyone their age shouldn't have to deal with.
Adam dragged his eyes away from the boy's seated form to look at the cremation centre the group was in front of. Smoke billowed from the single protrusion in the roof, directly above where the furnace would be, painting the sky above it a dirty gray color reminiscent of storm clouds. "Does it hurt?" He asked quietly. Itadori turned to him with a blank stare, his smile drooping ever so slightly as he followed the boy's gaze.
"Yeah…it does." He responded. "I'll see him soon enough though; once Sukuna is all dealt with, I'll be getting a worthy death handed to me." With his wide smile now returning, Itadori raised a fist and lightly punched Adam in the shoulder. "So don't worry about it, okay?"
"Don't worry about it he says!" Adam's eyes snapped to the side of Itadori's face, where one of the markings below his eye lay. It had opened up into a mouth with sharp fangs and pristine pearl teeth. The voice was distinctly masculine, but also held an air of superiority and viciousness with it. Sukuna's joking words quickly transitioned into thick, hate filled laughter, "as if you could hold me back at full power, brat."
"Big words coming from a person who's shit I just rocked." Adam replied smoothly, earning a sneer from the trapped King of Curses that only made him roll his eyes. "I really don't get the hype, you weren't much of an opponent at all." Adam exaggerated with a smirk.
"That's right!" Gojo slapped his student's shoulder with a smile. "He was smacking you around like you were an unruly child!" Sukuna growled once again, an action that gave way to a loud chuckle from Gojo.
"Brat! Let me out and I'll show these fools the true power of the King of Curses!" Itadori laughed quietly before slapping the side of his face with the mouth on it to get Sukuna to shut up; his attempt was quickly proven to be a failure when another mouth appeared on the back of his hand. "Just you wait!"
"Yawn, total snooze fest." Adam joked. "Even if he did let you out now, I could mop you up just as easily." He felt Fushigoro's gaze snap towards him in warning while Sukuna only seemed to be intrigued.
"Oh? And why do you say that?" Fushigoro slapped a hand over his friend's face before he could speak. "Hmph." The mouth receded back into Itadori's hand, molding back into the skin as if it had never existed in the first place.
Adam wrenched Fushigoro's hand off of his mouth with a frown. "I know what I'm doing Fushigoro." He said coldly.
"Do you? That's Sukuna you were talking to." Fushigoro replied. Itadori turned to him with a sheepish expression, his hand once again raising to scratch an unseen itch on the back of his head.
"So I'm not sure if this is a bit late to ask, but who exactly is Sukuna?" He said questioningly. "Like, I've eaten two of his fingers, but I don't really know who or what he is."
"Two? I thought you only ate one." It took every ounce of power within Fushigoro's body to stop himself from punching his friend as soon as Itadori pointed towards him. "Adam, what the hell!?" Instead of socking him in the face, Fushigoro grabbed him by the front of his uniform and pulled him closer. "I don't know what the hell is going on in your head right now, but get it together." He growled harshly. "This is the King of Curses we're talking about here, you can't be fucking around."
Adam narrowed his eyes slightly before grabbing the boy by his shoulder and beginning to walk away. "Give us a second, you two can head to the train station."
Itadori seemed slightly hesitant, but Gojo was all too willing to give the boys some time to themselves. "Alrighty! Let's get going Yuji, leave these two lovebirds to their squabble." He'd never received two larger middle fingers directed at him in his life.
When the other two in their group were finally out of earshot, Adam let go of Fushigoro and turned to face him. "Adam–"
"No. Listen here." Adam clicked his fingers to gain his friend's complete attention. "I know you're worried, and I'm thankful for that, but you also need to remember that I can handle myself."
"I know that you can." Fushigoro replied adamantly. "But–"
"Yeah, I know you know I can handle myself, but you don't believe it." Adam interrupted. Fushigoro's eyes narrowed slightly, but his posture shifted into a far more rigid form. 'Bingo.' A sad smile made Adam's cheeks raise slightly. "I know you just care; I know you just don't want me getting unnecessarily hurt, but it's going to happen. We're sorcerers, we're constantly fighting, you can't stop that."
"It's different, and you know that." Fushigoro said angrily. "Unlike other sorcerers, you have to fatally injure yourself just to be able to improve. Even something as simple as creating a barrier you can't do unless you have a specific skill for it."
"Right, but with my ability to use reversed cursed technique, that doesn't really matter, does it?" Fushigoro groaned angrily before reaching up and dragging a hand down his face.
"How do you think that's true!? What happens when you injure yourself too much, or when you come across something that disables it? What happens when the energy you spent just injuring yourself to get ready for the fight ends up being needed to heal you after the fact? What happens…what happens when you become too numb to it?" His snarling expression turned melancholic at the end of his rant, both the words and look making Adam confused.
"Become too numb to it? Like, used to the pain? Because if that's what you're worried about, then by all means you're too late." Not wanting to anger his friend any more, Adam held back from cutting off one of his fingers as an example.
"No. That's not what I meant." Fushigoro replied breathlessly. "Y our technique requires you to be in mortal danger for you to get that boost right? And you usually achieve that through blood loss by cutting off a limb or whatever."
"Mhm, and after it activates, even if I heal the limb over that boost stays until I get out of danger." Adam confirmed with a small smile, the hope he was finally getting somewhere lingering in the back of his mind.
"What happens when you get too strong? When cutting off a limb or two isn't enough? What happens when you go from not being able to improve due to there being no threats to having someone like Sukuna come after you that will easily destroy you at full power? If a jump is too far, far enough that there isn't a way for you to improve to that level through normal means, what will you do? Will you keep injuring yourself more and more severely so you can get that boost? Will you roll over and die? Tell me, please." Fushigoro's head dropped, his eyes focusing solely on the pavement in front of his soles while he waited for an answer. Just barely within his line of vision, he saw Adam's shoes shift slightly towards him.
The boy lifted up a hand and gently placed it on his friend's head. "Why should I worry about that? It's not like you'd run off and leave me to fend for myself." He shifted his palm back and forth before it was slapped off by Fushigoro. "With all of us together, there's nothing out there that could make much of an issue."
"Don't you get it!? Sukuna is in a league–"
"How do you know? I was the one who fought him." Adam replied swiftly, not in a rude way, but one that was meant to be reassuring. "Plus, it'll take far more than just dying to put me down." A wide smile slipped onto his face before he turned away, an expression that left Fushiugoro completely befuddled. "Come on, didn't Blindfold say something about a new student?"
"Right…he did." Fushigoro followed after his friend with a soft frown; his doubts weren't laid to rest, but they'd be sated for the moment. What hadn't been sated was his curiosity. 'what did Adam mean by that last part?' He thought blankly. Usually, he'd dwell on it for a few hours, but he had more important things to do, like not miss his train.
