Thunderous Ambush
Some time after they left Stone Town, our heroes traveled for a few days time, with Ash training his Pokemon more and more. However, the problem with Aiden only seemed to be slightly escalating as he not only disobeyed orders occasionally, but he also began picking fights with everyone. As they set up camp for the night, Ash, Cobalt, and Green decided to sit down with the Charmeleon that they treated as a younger brother,
Green: Aiden, buddy, we need to talk.
Aiden: About what?
Ash: You're starting to get out of control. With the doing stuff on your own… Maybe you should take a break.
Aiden: You mean, not battle? No way! If I don;t battle, I don't win. And if I don;t win, I won't evolve into Charizard. And I. Need. To evolve.
Cobalt: Dude, I get you want to evolve and I can respect that, but you're going battle crazy. Plus, you've been breaking the rules of Pokemon battling. Not cool, bro.
Aiden: Look, I'm fine. Can you guys just-
However, the fire lizard was interrupted as Brock cried out his backpack opened.
Brock: Arceus dammit!
Misty: What's wrong, Brock?
Brock: I forgot to go shopping back in Stone Town and now we're out of food, now I can;t cook dinner!
Ash: What?!
Misty: You mean… *horrified* We're gonna starve?!
Cobalt: Well, luckily for us, we have plenty of Poke Chow, so at least we'll have a nice meal.
The Lucario reachedinto the bag and pulled out a can of chow with a smile on his face, though when he looked inside, Cobalt froze as he fell over, tears welling up in his eyes with the smile still on his face. Confused, Misty took the can out of Cobalt's paw, only to find that it was empty.
Misty: Looks like we're out of Pokemon food, too.
Ash: Uh oh.
Green: Hmm…. I know! What if we foraged for food. You know Cobalt, when we used to hunt berries and stuff. Maybe we can do that.
Cobalt: Like…. Like when we did it back at home?
Green: Yeah.
Brock: What are they saying, Ash?
Ash: Green just suggested maybe we should forage for berries and stuff like that for tonight until we get to the closest town.
Misty: Hmm, that actually sounds like a good idea. Good on you, Green.
The Sceptile nodded as Cobalt, Aiden, and Azula huddled up, ready to forage.
Cobalt: Alright, we have a plan and we can get us a meal ticket.
Ash: Okay, Misty said she's going to get water and Brock is gonna keep sight of camp. Maybe I can go with you guys and start foraging.
Brock: Sounds good. *takes out Pokeballs* I'll get Bulbasaur and John to get some berries.
Cobalt: Okay, but what do we hunt?
Aiden: This Squirtle I knew back at the lab lived in the wild before he was caught by this old guy. He taught me a method of getting food….
Ash: …..I don;t feel safe.

In an open clearing in the forest, multiple bug types are seen flutttering above as a Pidgeotto tries to catch them. However, the bird Pokemon is suddenly skewered by a flying glowing bone, falling to the ground dead. The five are seen as Cobalt was the one that threw the bone as Ash and Azula looked in horror.
Aiden: Yes! We got one! Tonight, we feast.
Cobalt: *excited* Woo-hoo, I haven't had meat in years!
Ash: Aiden, how could you suggest that?! That's horrible!
Azula: Yeah, plus we don;t know where it's been, that Pidgeotto could be diseases! I'm not eating that!
Cobalt: Well we have to eat something, Azula. And Ash, I'm not eating anymore of those weird Pke Blocks or whatever they're called.
Ash: Yeah, that's fair, I guess. Those things have no nutritional value. But we can't eat a Pokémon! Isn't that cannibalism for you guys?
Green: Probably. I mean the only reason we haven't eaten Perry is because he tastes like rotten chicken. Unlike me, for I am VERY delicious.
Aiden: Ash, you need to understand something. This is the wild! If you wanna survive out here, you gotta learn to toughen up! And if you don;t believe me that this is natural, ask Brock, he'll vouch for this.
Ash: *sighs* You know? Fine, I will. Come on, Azula. *walks off* Let's get some berres on the way.
Azula: *walks with Ash* Way ahead of you.
Aiden: *sighs* You guys take the bird to camp, I'll go make sure they don;t get ambushed. *walks off* Might just get a battle or two in while I'm at it.
However, unknown to the Lucario and Sceptile, someone was indeed watching them. However, instead of light blue rings glowing from the darkness, small sparks seemed to spur as Cobalt and Green began to walk off as Green picked up the Pidgeotto.
Green: That guy's turned into a total battle nut.
Cobalt: Well, he is a mid-evolution and a Fire type. I heard that happens when they evolve to their first evolution. Makes them really hard to train, since-
?: ATTAAAAACK!
Suddenly a small swarm of Pikachu came from the bushes attack the pair, climbing over them while scratching and biting before both were knocked out by a powerful Thunderbolt, Cobalt making out a familiar pair of hate-filled eyes before everything went dark.

Slowly, Cobalt begins to wake up, only to see that a pack of wild Pikachu looked at him in anger, he then turned to Green as he then discovered that the two of them were tied up to a tree with what seemed to be a String Shot.
Green: Co, you're awake!
Cobalt: What's going on? Where are we?
Leader Pikachu: You know, I was just mad that you two were in our territory! But seeing you up close now… Oh~... Oh, I'm going to enjoy this even more.
Cobalt: Uh… I'm sorry, do we know you?
The Pikachus react in shock as the Lead Pikachu pointed to his forehead, revealing a small bruise.
Leader Pikachu: Perhaps THIS might refresh your memory. I got hit by a very tough Bullet Seed… A Bullet Seed that came from *points at Green* your dirty mouth!
Green: "Dirty"?! I'll have you know I keep my mouth…. Fairly…. Clean…
As the sentence finally began to process, Cobalt and Green looked at each other in horror as they looked at the horde, the leader smirking viciously.
Cobalt: You….. You're that Pikachu… You're the one that almost killed Ash!
Leader Pikachu: Got that- Wait, almost?…. No….. No. you're lying! He;s still alive?!
Random Pikachu: Your trainer lives after the torment he put our great leader through?! After you both assaulted him?!
Cobalt: Well technically, it was self defense.
Small Pichu: Silence your tongue, prophet! Our leader is speaking!
Glaring at the smaller mouse, Cobalt lightly kicked the Pichu, the force being enough to send it off the stimp it was standing on.
Cobalt: Alright, rat! Here's what's gonna happen: First, you're gonna let us down. Then, you're gon-
Leader Pikachu: Metapod!
Suddenly, a Pikachu came up holding a Metapod, which then used String Shot to close Cobalt's mouth.
Green: Hey, you can;t shut my brother up!... Only I can do that!.
Leader Pikachu: *to Pikachus* Brothers! For too long our kind has suffered at the hands of the humans's reckless cruelty! And my horrid scar is proof of their evil! But sacrificing my former captor's prophets, justice will be served!
Pikachus: JUSTICE!
Green: What're you gonna do to us, you maniac?!
Leader Pikachu: The canine will be killed and dismembered, then the females shall wear his body parts as accessories to attract mates.
Pikachu #1: I hope I get a spike!
Pikachu #2: I'm gonna wear his ears on my ears so they look slightly longer.
Green: Dude, that's just wrong.
Leader Pikachu: You, green one, will be kept alive. And our people will feast on your succulent seeds for generations to come!
Pikachus: Mmmmm!
Green: Aw dammit... I knew I was too delicious for my own good.
Meanwhile, Ash, Azula, and Aiden are seen walking, with the former two having armfuls of berries.
Aiden: I told you Pokemon eating Pokemon is natural.
Ash: Alright, alright, I admit. I did have my doubts tat I was wrong. But it just seems wrong ofr me to esat Pokemon now since I can understand you guys.
Aiden: Eh, I can get tha-
Azula: Guys, wait…. Do you hear that?
The three drop the berries and hide behind a tree, looking to see the ongoing scene before them
Aiden: It's Cobalt and Green, they've been captured by that pack of Pikachu.
Leader Pikachu: Tonight the canine dies! The time has come, brothers! Our retribution is at hand!
Pikachus: REVENGE!
Random Pikachu: Kill the demons!
Azula: Great, looks like the leader's about to sacrifice Cobalt.
At the sight of the leader, Ash's heart sank as he turned a ghostly pale. He gripped the tree they were hiding behind hard, breathing fast as he was on the bronk of a panic attack. Azula and Aiden looked to their trainer, shocked by his current disposition and growing worried for him.
Aiden: Ash? Ash, what's wrong?
Ash: The…. The leader…. That's not just any Pikachu. That is THE Pikachu!
Aiden: You mean... that one...
Azula: Was the one that almost killed you?... Are you sure?
Ash: I'd recognize him anywhere.
Aiden: Are you good?
Ash: *near tears* No… But I have to be… I have to save them.
Azula: No, Ash. You're clearly not ready. I'll go.
Aiden: What, no way! Those guys are Electric types, you'll get killed out there.
Azula: You're stronger than me and Ash needs one of us. Plus, I have Mud Shot, I'm the best one of us to go against them. Stay with Ash, if it looks hairy, come out.
Though reluctant, either worried for Azula or wanting to battle, Aiden odded as he hugged Ash, which he immediately returned. Stepping forth, Azula took a breath and readied a Mud Shot.
Azula: Well, here goes nothing.
Leader Pikachu: Lower the Canine! We'll start with his head!
However, before Cobalt could be cut free, a loud yelling is heard, confusing the Pikachu pack and the two hostages.
Pikachu #3: Does anyone else hear yelling?
Pikachu #4: Everyone hears yelling! It's a great way to get attention!
Pikachu #3: No, I mean right now!
Pikachu #4: I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the ye-
Leader Pikachu: What the hell is that?!
The pack looks over to see Azula yelling as she runs, ready to fire a Mud Shot. HOwever, she trips over a rock and continues to yell. She tries saving herself with Whirlpool, only for the whirlpool to be affected by the force and form into a huge wave, the screaming Azula riding on top of it.
Aiden: That's an odd way of using Whirlpool.
Ash: It's not. Aiden… I think Azula just learned Surf!
Azula jeeps yelling as the Surf keeps going on, hitting multiple Pikachus and knocking them out, until the wave dissipates just as it hits the tree which sets Cobalt and Green free by dissolving the silk. Cobalt takes the string off his mouth and starts growling at the Leader Pikachu.
Leader Pikachu: Uh oh.
Both Pokemon fire Leaf Storms and Aura Spheres at the Pikachus before Aiden comes out, setting them on fire with Flamethrower, causing them all to run away, screaming.
Leader Pikachu: RETREAT!
As Aiden punches one unconscious, Ash runs out from his spot, tears streaming down his face as he hugged his two starters which hugged him back, both of them rapidly consoling him that they were okay.
Ash: *crying tone* I-I'm so sorry! If I hadn;t left you both alone, I could've… I could-
Green: It's okay, Ash. They caught us off-guard, you couldn;t have done much anyway.
Cobalt: I'm just glad you're okay, pal. That was a close one, huh?
Aiden: So, the Pikachu knows Ash is alive and probably wants to hunt us down….. This is perfect!
Green: What!?
Aiden: We have competent enemies now! That means they'll want to fight us! And when we win, we'll get more XP!
Cobalt: Well yeah, I see your point, but what-
Aiden: Azula!
The Drizzile is seen groaning and caressing her head as she leans against a tree, Aiden then goes up to her, helping her stay upwards.
Ash: Are you okay?
Azula: I…. I'm fine.
Cobalt: Azula, you saved my life! That was awesome!
Azula: Huh?
Cobalt: You took out so many of them at once! That Surf move is perfect! If you keep that up, you'll be evolving in no time!
Azula: Oh uh, I uh….. *blushes* Yeah! I was pretty amazing, wasn't I? Thanks, Cobalt….
Aiden: Let's do it again!
Azula: Well, I might be able to- woah!
The Charmeleon then throws Azula, who screams as she stumbles while using Surf once more
Aiden: Awesome!
The group thn goes off back to camp. But unknown to them, the Leader Pikachu, who is no longer burning, watches them from afar.
Leader Pikachu: You may have survived our last encounters, Human! But I swear on my life... One day, I will have my revenge- AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
But unfortunately, the Pikachu's plan would have to wait as he is then carried off by a wayward Staraptor, who was possibly hoping to make him its next dinner… But that was before it got fried by a powerful Thunderbolt.
