Aiden's Prehistoric Panic
The next day after the escapade with Seviper, Ash and his friends followed Blacky's suggestion to head close to Saffrom for a way to Cinnabar Island. On the way, they stumbled across the illusutrious Grandpa Canyon, where they discovered a mulrirude of people tring to dig for fossils. They would've joined in on the fun had it not been for Team Rocket to interrupt them.
Jessie: Prepare for trouble!
James: And make it-
Brock: We get it, you're Team Rocket! Can't we get this over with?!
Misty: Wow, I didn;t evem have to say it.
James: ….You know what, you guys are no fun. *to Jessie* Get it started, Jessie. I'll hold them off.
The woman ran off with Meowth as James threw a Pokebal, letting out his Weezing.
Ash: *pulls out Pokeball* Whatever you're planning, you're not getting away with it. Aiden, let's go!
The Charmeleon was released from his Pokeball, growling at the sight of the Weezing.
James: You're only delaying the inevitable, you know. Weezing, Gunk Shot!
Ash: Deflect with Fire Spin!
As Weezing sprayed out purple gunk from its holes, Aiden shielded himself by surrounding himself in fire, dissipating the gunk, making James growl in frustration.
Misty: Loki, Water Gun!
Ash: Cobalt, use Aura Sphere!
James: Gyro Ball to deflect them!
As the turtle and jackal launched their projectiles, Weezing gained a metallic glow and spun, sending the attacks out of the way.
Ash: *whispers* Misty, I think it's time.
Misty nodded as she signaled her Squirtle to head over to Cobalt.
Weezing: Ppppffffft! Did you really think that would- *notices Cobalt* Huh?
Cobalt is then seen holding Loki in his hands, who tucks into his shell.
Cobalt: Yep. *throws Loki* Ash, now!
Ash: Green, use Iron Tail on Loki!
The Sceptile hits Loki with his tail, not only deflecting him, but ending him rocketing into Weezing. Loki fell right into Misty's arms as Aiden began running.
Ash: Now, Dragon Claw again!
The Charmeleon yells as he leaps with glowing claws, sending Weezing to the ground with Aiden holding him down.
Weezing: WHAT!? *Aiden slashes him* AAAHH!
Aiden: Alright, Cobalt! Bone Rush!
Confused, Cobalt simply shrugs as he summons an energy bone, hitting the ball Pokemon with the super effective move.
Weezing: Daaaah! You're all DEAD! When we capture you, Master'll make sure you all ROT in the vault!
James: Weezing, hurry! Use Gyro Ball!
Aiden: Bone Rush! Again!
Ash: What?! Aiden, stop!
Brock: What, what's happening?
Cobalt: But Aiden, it's no-
Aiden: NOW!
Reluctantly, Cobalt strikes Weezing again, making him cry out and now glare at the Charmeleon.
James: Hey, what are you doing?! That's cheating!
Weezing: You can;t just do that!
Aiden: We almost got him! One more!
Cobalt looks at the situation, conflicted. He knows he has to win the battle, but Ash didn;t give the command. Plus, it was Weezing's turn to attack and Aiden was preventing him.
Aiden: Come on! Bone Rush!
Weezing: It's... It's my turn!
Aiden: What're you waiting for?
James: Hurry, while he;s distracted, use Sludge!
The Weezing spat a small glob of Sludge onto Aiden, knocking him off and allowing him to rise once again.
Cobalt: Dammit! Green, backup plan!
Nodding, Green summoned a Leaf Sotrm and sent them at James and Weezing, knocking them away and into the direction Jessie went off into.
James: Looks like James is blasting by himself!
After James was sent off, everyone took a sigh of relief as Ash went over to his Cahrmeleon to help him up as the lizard then realized what had happened.
Aiden: Huh?... No! NO! Come on!
Ash: You okay?
Aiden: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT, ASH!?
Ash: *nervous* Uh, well, I, uh...
Aiden: We had him right where we wanted and you just let Cobalt stand there!
Ash: I just- I- uh y- you- and uh-
Aiden: WHAT!?
Cobalt: Aiden….. *sighs* You're really supposed to take turns attacking.
Aiden: UGH! THIS AGAIN!? Where does that even come from!?
Cobalt: That's just how it is, Aiden! We're supposed to fight that way!
Aiden: *angered* NO ONE tells ME how I'm SUPPOSED TO FIGHT!
Cobalt: Well we can't all be like YOU!
Misty: Why is he so angry? We won, didn;t we?
Brock: I… I think the issue dives in more than that, Misty.
Green: We can't go on like this! What you're makng us do is cheating!
Aiden: What we're doing is winning! If we have to cheat to win, then so be it!
Ash: That's not-! Ugh. Aiden, these rules exist for a reason.
Aiden: I can't believe what I'm hearing! It's like you DON'T want me to evolve.
Cobalt: ….. *nervous* Well...
Aiden: …. *supicious* "Well" what?
Cobalt: Well, hear me out first. Would it really be so bad if you didn;t evolve yet? Let's be honest. This whole go Charizard thing is making you crazy and you might start disobeying Ash once you reach your last stage. But, if you learned some patience and learned to quell your power as a Charmeleon… Maybe you'd be a little better off.
As the Lucario gives Aiden a nervous smile, Aiden's eye twitches as he slowly lets out an enraged yell. Startled, Cobalt runs up a tree where Aiden starts beating it up.
Aiden: I DO NOT NEED A LUCARIO TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO! IF YOU'RE NOT GONNA SUPPORT MY DESICION FOR THIS TEAM, I CAN LEAVE!
With heavy panting, Aiden stomped off towards Grandpa Canyon, leaving the others behind.
Ash: Aiden, come back!
Brock: Ash, wait!
Despite Brock's warning, Ash ran after his Charmeleon with Cobalt right behind him, leaving Green, Misty, Loki, and Brock to sigh in annoyance and exasperation as they ran after them.

Back at Grandpa Canyon, where multiple people are seen digging for fossils. Though up on a high ledge, Meowth watched them all as they dug, even noticing Gary, who was talking to an official of how his backpack had mysteriously gone missing as he sighed annoyingly.
Meowth: Humans. The only thing you can depend on is that they're always undependable.
The cat yowls in pain as Jessie hits him on the head with a mallet as James enters the scene, recovering after blasting off thanks to Green.
Jessie: Don;t blame us, blame the twerps! They interrupted us during our work and sent James blasting off by himself!
Wobbuffet: *pops up* That's right!
Meanwhile, Aiden ran near the section of the canyon where Team Rocket was speaking, panting and punching the wall out of frustration. Behind him, he saw Ash and Cobalt approaching them as the others lingered back.
Ash: Aiden.
Aiden: Leave me alone! If you won;t let me fight, you can at least do that!
Green: No way, bro. We're a team. That means we stick together. All of us.
Aiden: NO! WE don't do anything! As for now, YOU need to stay as far away from me as possible!
Ash: Come on, Aiden! Don't do this! We need you! This just doesn't work without all of us.
Before the Charmeleon could counter argue, he stopped and looked off as they all listened into Team Rocket's conversation.
Jessie: Think again, fur ball! Of course we planted the dynamite!
James: Once we blast Grandpa Canyon to smitheroons, we can collect all the Fossils we want.
Meowth: How about I turn you both into Fossils?!
Misty: Did you all hear that? They'e going to blow up the canyon!
Brock: All the people digging here are going to get caught in the blast!
Ash: We'll handle this, guys. You go warn them.
Nodding, Brock, Loki, and Misty ran down one direction back to the digsite as Ash and his Pokemon ran up the ledge just as Meowth was about to light the fuse.
Ash: Hold it right there!
James: Oh, it's that twerp with the "Cheat-meleon" again.
Jessie: Always messing up our plans!
Meowth: But this time you're too late.
Aiden: No, we're not!
Despite Ash's warnings, Aiden charged forth, hitting Meowth with a Fire Fang, making the cat drop the lighter on the fuse and lighting it.
Green: Wow, that is a REALLY long fuse.
Meowth: You like? T'was the longest they got.
Ash: We have to stop it! *throws Pokeball* Azula, use Water Pulse on the fuse!
With the Drizzile out of her Pokeball, Azula immediately created a water ballon, blastng the water at the rapidly shrinking fuse, but she missed by a hair.
Azula: Crap!
Cobalt: Hurry, follow it!
Ash and his Pokemon quickly slid down the ledge and stopped onto a path as they followed the fuse, Ash hearing Jessie and James release their Yanmega and Inkay just before they started running after the fuse. As they ran, Azula kept trying to extinguish the fuse, but her shot made her keep missing.
Ash: You can do it, Azula!
Meowth: Stop dat twerp!
Despite the Rocket's quarreling, Azula kept running as she tried to put out the fuse. As they kept running, Green gained a strange look, which caught Cobalt's attention.
Cobalt: What's wrong, Green?
Green: Why do I feel like we're about to enact an old movie reference?
Ash: *looks back* Huh?
Looking back, Ash saw Team Rocket rolling and barreling after them like a massive boulder, yelling all the way.
Aiden: Any idea here?!
Ash: Run faster!
Aiden: ….I could have thought of that.
However, they were too late as they barreled right into Ash and his party, leaping bounds down the mountain before finally stopping. After Cobalt got Inkay off his head, he noticed the furse was heading his way. Getting an idea, he put his paw on the fuse and just as the light came to it, it immediately went out, making him sigh in relief.
Ash: Yeah, way to go, Cobalt!
Green You saved us!
Azula: Great job!
Team Rocket then took the time to actually look at the fuse, which trailed to dour stacks of dynamite. Meowth had overestimated the amount they needed as they only needed one. If they had let the fuse go to the stacks and light them… All of them would have died. Realizing what they had done, Jessie, James and Meowth sighed and panted, though James curled in on himself as he panted.
Jessie: Fuck…..
Meowth then covered his ears as if he was having a panic attack while Ash and his Pokemon got out from under them. Inkay went up to James, trying to comfort him as he began to cry while Yanmega and Wobbuffet jolted as Jessie suddenly screamed with tears in her eyes.
Jessie: *screams* Oh, fuck! Fuck! Ahh! Ahh!
James: I can't fucking do this anymore!
Jessie: That was seriously screwed up, we almost died!
Ash: So you admit this was stupid?
Meowth: Fuck yes! That w... T-This was insane! *points to Cobalt* What he did was pure luck. None of us were in control of that situation at all.
James continues crying as Jessie looks down, seeing her hands shaking.
Jessie: Look at this, James. Look at my fucking hands. Look at this shit.
James: *to Meowth* Why do you leep doing this to us?!
Meowth: I don't know, Jimbo. Maybe I hate myself, maybe I think I deserve to die. I-I-I-I don't- I don't know!
James: *cries again*
Jessie: …..We need a vacation.
As they kept sobbing, Cobalt sensed something with his aura, looking back to see something in the cave.
Cobalt: Something's coming…. And it's not good…
As Team Rockets sobbing reduced to sniffles, they too noticed something coming out from the cave. Within it was actually two Pokemonl one being a tall brown crustacean with blades for hands similar to Scyther and the other being a blue starfish with a spiked shel and tentacles coming out its back… And neother of them looked happy.
Green: What the- What are those things?
Ash: *shocked* Are those…. No…. *takes out Pokedex* No, that's impossible.
Pokedex: Kabutops, the Shellfish Pokemon. A Rock and Water type. This ancient Pokemon once swam underwater to hunt for prey. It was apparently evolving from being a water dweller to living on land as evident from changes in its gills and legs.
Pokedex: Omastar, the Spiral Pokemon. A Rock and Water type. Weighed down by a large and heavy shell, Omastar couldn't move very fast. Some say it went extinct because it was unable to catch food.
Ash: They…. They are Kabutops and Omastar.
Cobalt: What's the big deal?
Meowth: Those things are meant to be extinct is the big deal! How are they alive?!
Green: Whatever that reason may be, they don;t look like they want to let us go. *adopts fighting stance* We'll have to fend them off.
Ash: *nods* Right.
Suddenly, as Green came up to face them, Jessie returned Yanmega, releasing her new Seviper as Inkay stepped up. Confused by this, Ash turned to the two fruits.
Ash: What are you doing?
James: We're cornered, you know.
Jessie: It's only fair we help for now, THEN we steal your Pokemon.
As Ash rolled his eyes, Green recognized the snake, as did Seviper as they then glared at one another.
Green: Hey…
Seviper: Hey….
Ash: Alright then. Green, use-
Suddenly, Aiden charged forward, readying a Dragon Claw.
Aiden: Come on, you old bags! Fight me!
Cobalt: Aiden, wait! Stop!
However, he didn;t stop as he tried to swipe at Kabutops. However, Aiden was caught off guard as the Omastar hit him with a powerful Hydro Pump. Aiden was sent flying into the rocky wall, enraged by the attack as he reeled his head back, ready to unleash a Flamethrower….. In the ath where the dynamite laid.
Ash: AIDEN, DON'T!
However, it was too late as the flames hit the explosives, causing them to explode and sending Aiden back. As soon as his head hit the wall… Everything was black…

Later on, Aiden gasps as he wakes up suddenly, only to see that was covered in sticks as Cobalt and Green sat with their backs turned to him.
Aiden: What the-?
Cobalt: *turns* Oh hey, uh, good morning.
Aiden: What is all this?
Cobalt: I covered you in sticks, because, you know... I figured that's what you do with a campfire, and you're….. Yeah, I'm sorry. Looking at it now, it was pretty dumb logic.
Aiden: *gets up* Where's Ash?
Green: Don;t you remember? After your Flamethower blew up the TNT, it caused a tremor and opened upa fissure. Ash and Team Rocket fell in it and a rockslie covered iy up. Azula was the only one that managed to climb out.
Aiden: What!? Rh-... No way!
Cobalt: I told you you shouldn;t charge into battle willy-nilly.
Aiden: Eh, you tell me a lot of things, not a lot of them matter. Now come on! We need to find him.
Green: Oh and what are we gonna do? Attack them head on?
Aiden: Uh, that's an order, you two.
Cobalt: Aiden, they're Rock and Water types. You're just gonna get killed again.
Aiden: Move!
Cobalt: No! I'm tired of this! You're starting act like-
Aiden: HOW DARE YOU COMPARE ME TO HIM?! I HAVE THE TYPE ADVANTAGE, I AM YOUR SUPERIOR! YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO ME! ASH IS MY TRAINER TOO AND WE ARE GOING DOWN THERE TO GET HIM!
Cobalt: And why should I listen to you, huh? What are you gonna do; hit me?
Aiden: Yes.
Thinking he was being dramatic, Cobalt was unprepared as Aiden punched him in the stomach, the reflex of not falling over caused him to accidentally push Aiden. Thinking it was intentional, Aiden pinched Cobalt acros this face and sent him staggering. Green gasped at this , only for Cobelt to get up, shrug smigly at his brother…. Before pouncing on Aiden and the two engaging in a fight like wild animals.
Meanwhile, Misty, Brock, Loki, and Azula were at the impact of the rock slide, trying to move the rocks out of the way. Hearing distant cries and growls and the occasional "Sceptile! Scep!", Brock turned around, tapping Misty on the shoulder to alert her to Cobalt and Aiden;s fight. As Misty gasped at the sight, the two ran over to them, Brock pulling away Aiden and Misty pulling away Cobalt.
Brock: Guys! Quit it!
Misty: Ash wouldn;t want you two to fight like this!
Aiden: Let go of me! I-
The Charmeleon screams in pain as Loki angrily blasts him with a Water Gun.
Loki: *sarcastic* Oh, I'm sorry, did YOU want a turn? *sprays Aiden again* Seems kind of unfair, doesn't it?
As Loki was about to spray him again, Azula placed a hand on his shoulder, eliciting him to stop as Cobalt confronted Aiden again.
Cobalt: What makes you think you're qualified to command us? Huh? You have no idea what you're doing!
Aiden: Excuse me!? I am the-
Cobalt: The what? Strongest? Most "experienced"? Well, you're wrong! You're not the strongest, I am! And let me tell you something. It takes more than that to lead, FIRE FACE! Ever since Green evolved, all you've done is use force to get your way! And just like Damian, you don't know ANYTHING ELSE! You wanna know what I want?! I want the old Aiden back! The Aiden who was actually not a fiery-mouthed irritable bratty dickhead like you are now and realized that this is a TEAM! Not a dictatorship!
Still frowning, Aiden slashes a Dragon Claw at Cobalt, but Cobalt is mostly unharmed.
Cobalt: Yeah, Dragon type moves aren't very effective against me. *turns* Freakin' Arceus, at least learn the match-ups!
Cobalt proceeds to walk away to the rock pile, where he then throws multiple rocks out of the way. But before he could do another one….
Aiden: Cobalt.
Cobalt: *turns around* What?
Aiden: …..*sighs* Okay, fine… You're right…. A part of me hates to admit it. I have no idea why it does…. But you're right. I really don't know what I'm doing and I;ve been a real jerk. I just…. I just wanted to prove him wrong.
Cobalt: You mean Damian?
Aiden: He said a weakling like me would be lucky enough to evolve to Charmeleon, but ever since I joined Ash, I wanted to get to Charizard. Not just to show him up, but to show that Ash is a great trainer, just to show people like him and that Gary guy they're wrong about him…. But you're right. I went about it wrongfully, I pushed away everyone, and I even cheated to get my way. I'm…. I'm sorry.
(Aiden forgot Cockism….. But re-learned EMPATHY instead!)
Aiden: But If there's one thing I want to stick by that I gained from evolving, is that I refuse to let this show I'm weak and to let Ash stay in danger! We're both better than that and you know it and we can't save him unless we stick together! So I'm asking you. Not as your superior, but as your partner…. Help me get our friend back.
Aiden held hout his hand as Cobalt kept a small frown, only for it to slowly evolve into a smile as he nodded.
Cobalt: Apology accepted. And…. I'm sorry too.
Cobalt and Aiden shake hands as Green and Azula smile as they join, all of them becoming allies again while Misty and Brock watch the sight happily.
Azula: Thanks for deciding to change, dude.
Green: Glad to have ya back, buddy.
Loki: Yeah…. Sorry about the Water Gun.
Aiden: Don;t be, I think I needed it.
Cobalt: Great, but if we're going to save Ash from those fossil fiends, we're gonna need a better strategy.
Aiden: What did you have in mind?
Cobalt: Well, he has Psi and Yami, so he'll be able to defend himself. For now, we should focus on getting these rocks out of the way. Then, we should-
Suddenly, as soon as Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy arrived, the rocks underneath Cobalt's feet loosed before rattling.
Cobalt: Uh oh…..
Azula: Get away, hte rocks are falling!
The four Pokemon jumped out of the way just as the rocks collapsed. As Misty and Brock checked them over, a massive screech was heard as a large, winged Pokemon flew out of th hole, much to the astonishment of the two teens and any human in the area.
Misty: Holy Arceus….
Officer Jenny: An Aerodactyl?! How is one even here?!
Green: Guys, look up there!
Green pointed to where the Aerodactyl landed and much to their horror, a struggling Ash was seen clasped in its foot, screaming as the Aerodactyl screeched at him.
Misty: Ash!
Brock: Oh no!
From the hole, Psi and Ya,i floated out, with Psi placing the unconscious Team Rocket on a ledge with their Psuchic.
Yami: Hey guys, you WON'T believe what happened down there!
Green: You got attacked by prehistoric Pokemon that managed to survive extinction.
Yami: How'd you know that?
Cobalt pointed at the Aerodaxryl, which only made them worry more as they saw Ash in its grasp.
Psi: No, Ash!
Ash: Somebody get me down!
Aiden: Hey, you heard him! Now let him go!
The Aerodactyl screeched again, firing an Ancient Power at Aiden, who deflected it with Dragon Claw.
Aiden: After what your buddies did, I have had enough of your Tauros-crap! Either fight me or leave Ash alone!
Aerodactyl let out a Dragon Pulse at Aiden, however it hit Psi and Yami and knocked them out, who were trying to shield the Charmeleon.
Brock: Psi!
Misty: Yami!
Aiden: I'm trying to be patient! I'm trying to not rush into blind combat! So now it's your turn!
Hearing this, Ash was surprised at Aiden's sudden shift in attitude. H ewasn;t sure what happened while he was gone, but he smiled, glad that Aiden was over his odd rebellion phase.
Aiden: Fossil or not, you're a Pokemon just like me! And Pokemon FIGHT! So FIGHT ME! COME ON!
The giant fossil looked down at Aiden, wher ehe then looked down to Ash in its claw before gaining a sinister smirk.
Aerodactyl: You want him?... Go get him!
The Aerodactyl then proceeded to fly higher than anyone expected before chuckling villainously at Ash's panic…. Before dropping him.
Cobalt: ASH!
Aiden: NOOOO!
Hearing the boy's horrified screams as he plummeted and Misty close to fainting, Aiden saw the only two gravity defying Pokemon they had were knocked out and Nightwing was nowhere strong enough to carry Ash. Though knowing he couldn;t do a thing, Aiden rubbed his eyes as tears formed as he began running up the nearby mountain, ready to jump and catch Ash midair.
Azula: Aiden, stop! You can;t fly yet, you'll just crash!
Aiden: I HAVE TO TRY!
Ash: Aiden- AIDEN, DON'T!
Getting a running start, Aiden yelled as he jumped off the cliff, hoping to catch Ash and shield so at least then… He'd be alive.
Aiden: I UNDERSTAND WHAT I DID WAS WRONG! I UNDERSTAND THAT I TOOK YOU FOR GRANTED, ASH! I UNDERSTAND! JUST KNOW I'M GONNA DO WHAT I CAN TO SAVE YOU! I'M SORRY!
Hearing the desperation in the apology, Ash tearfully smiled as he opened his arms, locking his Charmeleon into a hug, before all of a sudden…. Aiden began to glow once more.
Green: No way…
Cobalt: Is he…..?
Aiden's form grew more and more as his neck grew and wings sprouted from his back. As the light faded, Aiden let out a mighty roar as he spread his wings, allowing him to lnd safely onto the ground with Ash in his arms. Ash and the others stood in amazement at the sight to behold; Aiden finally evolved into Charizard.
Aiden: Are you okay?
Ash: Aiden, you…. You evolved-
Aiden: Forget me evolving, Ash! Are you okay?!
Ash: I….. *smiles* I'm okay. Thanks, Aiden.
Green: Ash!
Ash turned to see the sight of his friends and Pokemon rushing up to him, causing Ash to tear up as they all embraced him, even the now revived Yami and Psi joining in the hug, along with even Loki as he hugged his leg.
Brock: *assertive* Never scare us like that again….
Ash: Deal.
As the hug eventually loosened, Ash turned to the newly evolved Aiden, scanning him with his Pokedex.
Pokedex: Charizard, the Flame Pokémon and the final evolved form of Charmander. A Fire and Flying type. Charizard flies around the sky in search of powerful opponents. It breathes fire of such great heat that it melts anything, with the flame's intensity measuring how many intense battles it has endured. This Charmeleon is level 46, Male, and has the ability, Blaze. It knows the moves Flamethrower, Air Slash, Fire Blast, and Dragon Claw.
Ash: Wow, you really have gotten stronger with evolution, huh?
Suddenly, the Aerodactyl crowd out from above, glaring at Aiden scornfully. Not wanting to possibly get into trouble again, he looked questionongly to Ash, who smiled and nodded.
Ash: Go.
With a smile, Aiden flew after Aerodactyl, who fired another Ancient Power at him.
Ash: Dodge it!
However, unlike the past few times Aiden battled, Aiden actually dodged. Misty and Brock were surprised at this, even though they knew Aiden had somewhat matured a tad.
Ash: Alright, let's try out those new moves, Aiden! Use Fire Blast!
Aiden relled his head back, lunging it forward and releasing a massive kanji of fire at Aerodactyl. It wasn't very effective, but it did a good amount of damage. Aerodactyl shireked as it did a u turn, its wings glowing metallic as it charged.
Brock: It's about to use Steel Wing!
Ash: Counter with Dragon Claw!
Claws and wings clashed with one another before they broke away from each other.
Ash: Now, Air Slash!
Aiden flapped his wings harshly, firing a series of glowing saw blade-like discs that hit Aerodactyl straight on before one hit him square in the head, knocking Aerodactyl out cold. As it began to fall, Aerodactyl fell into a net, with was being lifted by a Ranger chopper.
Ranger: *through megaphone* This is the Pokemon Rangers! We have received a call of hostile Fossil Pokemon! Fwae not, we are simply transporting them to a reserve where they will be kept happy and safe.
As he says this, another chopper rises, revealing Kabutops, Omastar, and what seemed to be smaller versions of them as they were brought into the air. The crowd cheered as Aiden landed, watching them go. But as soon as he was about to rejoin his friends. He noticed something on the ground… A small white ovoid object with red and lue triangles on it.

Later on, our group left Grandpa Canyon as the sun setted, this time Aiden joining Green and Cobalt out of his ball as they left.
Misty: It was a good thing Aiden evolved when he did. Otherwise, you would have been a goner, Ash.
Ash: Yeah, thanks a lot, Aiden.
Aiden: Anytime…. And, when I apologized earlier…. I really-
Ash: It's okay. I know. And I didn;t say it before, but… I forgive you.
The Charizard smiled, hugging his trainer with one arm as Ash hugged back. Cobalt and Green smiled, happy Aiden was back to a semblance of hos former self. Though that's when Cobalt noticed he had something under his wing.
Cobalt: Hey, what's that you got there?
Aiden: Huh? Oh, I don;t know. I found this weird rock back at the Canyon. It looked cool, so I thought I'd keep it.
He lifted a wing, revealing the ovoid object in his claw. The three humans gasped at this, recognizing what the object was.
Misty: Whe…. Where did he find that?
Ash: Aiden said he thought it was a cool rock he found back at Grandpa Canyon.
Brock: Aiden, that's not a rock… That's an EGG!
Aiden: An egg? Really?
Ash: Yeah, it's an egg.
Aiden: Oh… Well, I don;t have much use for an egg…. *hands egg to Ash* Why don;t you take it?
Ash: M….Me? You want me to have it?
Aiden: Yeah, you're one of the most responsible people I know. Plus, based on my ast actions, I have a FAR way to go before I trust myself with something like an egg.
Ash was about to counter argue, but smiled as he took the egg when Brock stepped up.
Brock: Ash, wuld it be okay if I took care of the egg for you? After all, I'll need the experience as a breeder.
Ash: Hmm…. Sure. But neither of you go stealing it now, alright?
Misty: *jokingly* No promises.
Chuckling while giving Brock the egg, Ash and his group made their way down the road, finally on the right track to Cinnibar Island and Ash's 7th gym badge….
However, very far away, the Ranger chopper carrying the Aerodactyl had crashed, the cockpit smoking as the fossil Pokemon tried to get itself out of the net. But before it could get free, a Pokeball hit it, sucking the Aerodactyl in. It was about to break out, before a small, yellow foot stepped on the top, forcing the ball to lock. The camera pans up, revealing the Leader Pikachu smirking as he picks up the Pokeball and next to him… Was Gary's missing backpack.
Leader Pikachu: Well, you know what they say, if you wanna beat 'em….. Join 'em…..
The mouse then chuckled as he released the Aerodactyl, who sensed the pure malice from the Pikachu, making it bow to him. The Pikachu nodded as he dragged the backpack and climbed onto Aerodactyl's back, the fossil going airborne as they then flew into the horizon.
Aerodactyl: To where do we fly… Master?
Leader Pikachu. To war, my general…. TO WAR!
