Sorry I was halfway through an introductory chapter when I was reminded what a corrupt planetary governor would look like. You cannot just distract from your crimes by announcing you are just going to move Christmas to October first!
...
Well that was irritating to say the least but school cut short what I was writing. I will try again at night.

RWBY/CCWC: A Broken Sword
In the space above Slawkenberg, just as a hole in reality was open to show a dark race that feeds on pain that humanity is not prey a golden portal opened in the void between worlds and realities just in time to catch some falling souls.
Since the tear opened it was the subject of intense study by Slawkenberg growing scientific community and it was months after the Liberator departed on a rightful crusade to save human worlds abandoned by the Imperium from the criminals and worse that tried to take advantage of their defenseless state when half a dozen colorful dots were spotted leaving the tear in space and fall into the planet below.

The feeling of weightlessness was not something new for Jaune. It normally would have been a scary reminder of his first steps in the path of a Hunter but right now the only thing in his mind is the image of the sword in his hand.
Broken and stained with the blood of a friend.
Some hero he turned out to be.
Just as his vision started to get cloudy his body reacted with reflexes he never knew he had and used the Dust in his shield to kill his momentum against some trees before hiting the ground hard but nothing his Aura couldn't handle.
Jaune clean his eyes with the back of his hand and looks around him wrestling his eyes away from his sword with some difficulty.
What he sees is a peaceful clearing with only a couple of trees fallen because of his crash.
A particularly tall tree catches his attention and for a second he can see a young man with an ill-fitting armor pinned to the tree by a red spear.
"Right back to the beginning huh..."
The he heard the sounds of a big gun being fired and his legs were moving in that direction as fast as they could.
After a few minutes of a pace that few unaugmented humans could replicate but that was nothing compared to his friends he was out of the trees and as he realized he was on a hill overlooking a town he adjusted the direction of his run.
As he approached he noted the town was almost a city by the standards of Remnant but what really had his attention were the columns of smoke rising from several buildings and the sounds of gunshots.
They sounded far louder than any gun he was used to and he could also hear a mechanical voice repeating a message about people taking shelter.
The weird thing was that Jaune was pretty sure the message was in a language he was not familiar but could understand somehow.
As he reached the first building he was confronted with a hulking figure.
It was humanoid but it's green skin and bestialismo features showed that whatever it easy it was not human or faunus but any more thoughts were cut shirt when the creature charged him shooting in his general direction with the biggest pistol Jaune has ever seen all the way shouting.
"WAAAAAGH!"
