It was getting late in New York City as Peter was out as Spider-Man as he was looking down while perched on a street lamp as there was a man trying to use a gadget to break into a car. "You know... You could try and save enough money to get a car... No need to break into a car and steal it yourself... I mean no one leaves their keys in the car overnight and would you have to hotwire it every single time that you want to use it?" Peter said out loud jumping down to behind the carjacker who jumped as he heard his voice.

"Spider-Man!" yelled out the carjacker as Peter made himself looked shocked and surprised.

"Really? Where? I am such a huge fan..." Peter called out in a mock confused tone of voice as the carjacker then drew out a knife and then charged at Peter as he dodged them. "Small knives! Whatever shall I do..." Peter called out as he the easily disarmed him and had him webbed up and then there were police officers armed with guns that they were aiming at him when they came forward.

"Drop the guy and get on the ground you masked idiot!" yelled one of the officers as Peter raised an eyebrow; police reactions to seeing him were less than friendly.

"Really... After I did 80% of your job... Where were you?" Peter asked as there were strong glares directed to him.

"Tailing the guy so he could lead us back to his hideout you idiot! There had been reports of car thefts in this area and we could have folowed him right to the source!" yelled another office as Peter's posture dropped upon hearing about; so was he interfering in some official business with this? He made a gulp as the looks stayed at him. "Got anything to say..." asked the officer angrily as Peter tossed the man at them.

"Citizen's arrest..." Peter said as he leaped up as they began firing up and Peter was swinging away; if he accidentally foiled some more investigations like this then the police might become more hostile and start to hunt him down more. They may not like a costumed vigilante anyway so should he quit... No; he can't stop this when there are people he could help with this identity. For the little guy...

He managed to get away as the police weren't really prepared to try and chase him with his own unique mode of transport. Better go home through his window; get changed and get a night's rest.

In a gym late at night there was a large muscular man with a large scarred forehead working out in a sweatshirt. He was doing pull ups when entering the gym escorted by two guards was Wesley; "Hard at work during the night; are you? Getting in shape while you wait to see if you get called in by those who you like to pretend are the ones you ultimately answer to?" Wesley asked as the man glared at the direction of Wesley.

"I'm a Maggia man through and through; you should show respect. We still live and are awaiting the day when we show you upstarts we are not out!" the man retorted to Wesley as he came up to him and looked down at him.

"The Maggia has fallen and only 1 big crime family remains... You should be thankful that the Big Man thinks that for tradition's sake; you should stay around and were given Bronx as your turf..." Wesley told him and the man looked ready to attack him in rage. "Calm yourself Mr Hammerhead... The Big Man specifically wanted you to take care of a problem for him. A certain costumed vigilante that decided to embarrass him and interfere in his operations." Wesley informed the man Hammerhead who decided to raise an eyebrow.

"That spider guy... Consider him crushed..." Hammerhead told him getting a dark blue business jacket to put over his sweatshirt and getting his golden neck jewellery as well as his brass knuckles.

The next morning Peter had awakened and felt better; he gotten dressed and put his Spider-Man suit into his backpack while also putting in some new web cartridges from a new batch that he cooked up with before he started web slinging for the night. "Peter... Are you up..." May called out as Peter was now in a rush to put his lab stuff in it's secret compartment before going out the door to the breakfast table.

"Just here Aunt May..." Peter answered with May giving a smile they tucked into the breakfast.

"Hope you will be careful out there Peter... Don't want to lose you as things seem to be weird out there with that Spider-Man going about and I heard about how Eddie is chasing after him..." May said as Peter kept silence knowing that Eddie had been badgering witnesses to Spider-Man as well those who had pictures and videos for words. Plus if she knew what he was doing...

"I will Aunt May..." say you later Peter said kissing her on the cheek as he finished his breakfast and cleaned it up before heading off with his backpack. He got out and thought of an idea. He ran to an alleyway and then decided to change into being Spider-Man there with the backpack hidden underneath his hooded jumper. He climbed up the walls and then ran and jumped to start swinging.

He felt the rush and there was some people looking up and catching him; Peter didn't notice Eddie who went to try and walk to school with him and got his phone out to start recording. He basically ran after his direction calling out to him; pushing people some annoyed citizens and vehicles have to stop suddenly for him.

Peter managed to get to the area of Midtown and swinged over to the back of the school. He stopped and saw that there was some of the football team with... Flash dressed in his own Spider-Man suit without the mask?

"Check this out... I can make myself look like Spider-Man and I should be able to copy his moves! I can host a party and advertise a special guest... I go to get him and... Bang! I come out like this and make some moves and say that I am saving my webs..." Flash was telling his idea to his teammates as Peter just stared at his confidence and how his cronies seemed to be buying it.

Still; if he wanted to make a fool of himself...

He sneaked down tot he dumpster to change...

In a discrete area there was Hammerhead in his suit meeting with 3 professional criminals under his leadership; the group called themselves the Enforcers. There was the man nicknamed Ox who was a massive bulky man in a yellow sweater, vest and had a moustached face. There was also 'Fancy' Dan Crenshaw a black man in a suit and with a western hat and Jackson 'Montana' Brice who had a business suit and a western hat. "...So the Big Man wants us to hunt down that masked varmint in the cheap suit?" Montana asked as Hammerhead then nodded as he had a laptop set up.

"Somehow most of the criminals in this city have trouble with a street performer. Does this guy have special training or something?" Fancy Dan asked as Ox cracked his fists together.

"I will crush him!" OX swore as Hammerhead coughed to get their attention.

"Probably just some guy with special training and gadgets but we have our own special set of skills and our equipment. Ox should be able to overpower him, Fancy Dan will be able to counter any training he had and Montana can restrain him with the special Oscorp brand lasso." Hammerhead told them as they nodded and Montana with his gloves brought out a special electronic lasso that had yet to be turned on. "If he can somehow withstand all that... I shall have to use my own fists to pummel him and use my steel plated skull on him... He has yet to face the man that survived Castle cracking his own skull open..." Hammerhead beating his fists together.

"So how do we find him?" Ox asked as Hammerhead showed that he had Eddie's blog as they stared at him in disbelief.

"Did your skull crack open again Hammerhead? Some teenager's news blog?" Montana asked incredulously.

"Kid is an idiot but he was there when the Spider-Man went from performer to vigilante thanks to an idiot ruining things for us. He has been trying to hunt the webhead down and I say he might not know enough to lead us to him!" Hammerhead said confidently.

Eddie had ran after Spider-Man hoping to track him down before he had to go to school but fortunately for him; the so called superhero seemed to be going the direction of the school. Hopefully his bro won't mind if he didn't walk with him to school. To his frustration the masked lunatic had swinged to the back of the school and he had to move his way around the students going through the front gates.

Hopefully if he ran he could catch him before he goes off again... Wait; could Spider-Man work for the school or something? Was he a teacher?

He was puffed out but made his way through the annoyed students in his way as he went to the back of the school and managed to make it in time to see Flash and the football team. He sighed thinking that he was too late and the running for nothing but he noticed something; Flash putting a certain suit into his backpack...

He was open mouthed in shock; it seemed unbelievable but the showboat glory hog going to be a street performer and start acting like a superhero... It made sense to him. Flash Thompson is Spider-Man! He just needed to prove it...

Eddie then hid around the corner as he gathered his strength back; he found Peter going around the corner and went up to him. "Sorry if I ended up missing you on the way to school bro..." Peter said apologetically but Eddie just grinned his way. "Sorry... Something wrong Eddie?" Peter asked as Eddie shook his head.

"Just thinking of my next story..." Eddie answered with a grin that that Peter didn't like but they heard the school bell so they went to the entrance door.

New York doesn't yet realise how extranormal Spider-Man is; thinking so far he is some specially skilled man with a web gadget and the men from the warehouse swearing how easily he took them down; would not be taken too seriously as they thought that it was exaggerations. This small little arc is loosely based on the Spider Slayer episode of Spider-Man TAS with Flash dressing up as Spider-Man to impersonate him and it leads to Eddie coming to the conclusion that it's the real deal. Plus if you remember me saying that Eddie will have inspiration from Alya from Ladybug; well this is also based on the Lady Wifi episode of that show. Plus since Spidey is still using a cheap homemade suit here; it would be easy to create a convincing enough copy in universe for it to be mistaken for the real suit.
