Humanity was not a space-faring species yet. Boros needed to remind herself of this as the movie progressed. Keep in mind, Boros didn't find the movie unenjoyable. The problem was that, in this situation, her brain was divided into two parts. One half focused on the story and spectacle, which were both entertaining. The other half couldn't keep from pointing out all of the inaccuracies and poor decision-making of the characters within the narrative. Alas, the struggles of being a warlord.

"It's a story...there needs to be lapses in judgement..." Boros thought, fingers tightly clenching her biceps. "Even so, could the writers not make it less frustrating for those of us with combat experience?..." She pondered.

Suddenly, Boros's right ear twitched. The door to the auditorium had been opened.

"Ah, Saitama." Boros greeted him before he was even in sight. "You're just in time. The worst of it is over." She told him.

"Worst of it?" Saitama questioned, emerging into view whilst sipping his beverage. "Did it start sucking after I left?" He asked.

"Oh, no. That's not what I meant." Boros answered. "I was referring to the decisions the creators of this film made when planning out the battles. It truly is astounding how NUMEROUS the errors are." She clarified.

"Ah." Saitama replied with an amused smile. He couldn't help but find her fixation on the fighting in the movie to be charming. It reminded him of a kid who knew everything about their favorite superhero, including the names of all their special moves.

After that exchange, Saitama returned to his seat. It was the one closest to the aisle since that is where Boros was standing. Even if she couldn't sit in the chairs, they wanted to be next to each other to make enjoying the movie together easier and more fun.

BAM

Suddenly, the door to the auditorium was slammed against the wall. Neither Boros nor Saitama was startled. It'd take a lot more than that to make them jump.

"SIR!" A voice called out, followed by hurried footsteps. "PLEASE! I'D LIKE YOU TO TEACH ME HOW-"

...

Well, this was a unique situation. A bald man. A blonde-haired cyborg. A cycloptic alien bombshell. It almost felt like a setup for a very unorthodox joke.

"Who the hell are you?" Boros questioned, examining this individual. "You aren't wearing the uniform of the theater staff." She noted.

"..." The cyborg said nothing at first. Instead, he slowly turned his head to look at Saitama. "Sir, do you know this strange-looking woman?" He inquired.

"Wow. What a charmer." Boros joked with a smirk. She wasn't offended. She could tell that the cyborg wasn't trying to insult her. He just seemed to struggle with a nicer way to describe her peculiarity.

"Yeah. Boros is my friend." Saitama informed the cyborg.

"I see." The cyborg responded before bowing to Boros. "It is an honor to meet you, Miss." He stated.

"An...honor?" Boros questioned. She was flattered, but why the sudden shift? Was it solely because Saitama established that they had a relationship?

"Yes, mam." The cyborg began, straightening himself. "Anyone who is a friend to that man deserves respect." He told her.

"Oh? How come?" Boros asked.

"Because that man is the most powerful person I've ever seen!" The cyborg answered with vigor. "Anyone who possesses such strength yet does not abuse it is someone who deserves admiration!" He explained.

"I'm starting to like this guy," Boros said to Saitama, a grin growing on her face. "How do you know this, blondie? Have you seen Saitama fight before?" She inquired.

"Saitama. So, that is your name." The cyborg said, briefly redirecting his attention to the bald man.

"Yup." Saitama casually confirmed. He was still sipping his soda. If he weren't careful, he'd need another refill pretty quickly.

"I will be sure to commit it to memory." The cyborg promised before looking back to Boros. "To answer your question: no. I have not seen Saitama fight. I only just now witnessed his incredible strength as he dispatched the mosquito monster I was dealing with moments ago." He explained.

Slowly, Boros turned to look at her companion. She didn't need to say anything; he knew that he needed to fill her in.

"It was nothing." Saitama started, trying his best to keep her from getting upset. "I went to refill my drink. This guy crashed into the building. A monster came after him. A few words were exchanged, then I made my way back. The monster tried to touch me, so I swatted it. That's all that happened. Promise." He informed her.

"...Huh," Boros replied, astounded by that tale. "You weren't exaggerating about your city's monster problem." She said.

"Yup. Again, that's why the rent's so cheap." Saitama reminded her.

"Still, to imagine such a thing happening within the lobby..." Boros muttered in disbelief. A moment later, she pouted. "I can't believe I missed seeing you fight a monster..." She grumbled.

"Fight's a strong word. When I say swatted, I mean it. I just used the back of my hand." Saitama responded.

"Indeed!" The cyborg confirmed, rejoining the conversation. "It was amazing! Saitama dispatched the creature in one motion! I've never witnessed a more spectacular feat!" He exclaimed.

"Hmph. Lucky..." Boros continued to grumble. Great. Some random stranger got to see Saitama in action while she was in here watching actors, who had CLEARLY never used weapons before, pretend to be soldiers.

"Don't be upset, Miss!" The cyborg told her. "I'm certain that you'll have another opportunity to see Saitama fight!" He assured.

"Again, fight's too strong a word to use in this context," Saitama repeated.

"Hm, true." Boros replied, giving it some thought. "I am training with Saitama, so it's likely we'll run into more monsters." She said.

"Wait, he's training you?!" The cyborg questioned with widened eyes.

"Training WITH me." Boros corrected. "I wouldn't consider myself his student or anything. We're two individuals who desire to fight each other, but as it stands, he's stronger than me. So, I need to close the gap in our strength to be his true equal." She explained.

"May I join you?" The cyborg requested, fists tightly clenched in front of himself. "Please! I desire to become stronger myself!" He exclaimed.

"No." Saitama was quick to deny him. "No offense, but I have no idea who you are. I don't even know your-"

"Genos!" The cyborg interrupted.

"...Okay..." Saitama began, caught off guard by that. "Even though you've shared your name, you're still a stranger. I'm not comfortable with suddenly training with someone I just met." He stated.

"Please!" Genos begged, now bowing to Saitama. "I will do anything!" He promised.

"No," Saitama repeated.

"Aw, come on, Saitama." Boros chimed in. Surprisingly, she was on Genos's side.

"What?" Saitama questioned, now looking at her. "Why are you in support of this?" He asked.

"Because look at him!" Boros answered, gesturing to the still-bowing Genos. "He's like a puppy! He's so cute and energetic!" She reasoned.

"Boros, he is a cyborg. He is not a puppy." Saitama plainly told her.

"An irrelevant detail," Boros responded, dismissing his statement. "Furthermore, you should be jumping at this opportunity! Think about it, Saitama. NO ONE knows WHO you are! A fact that still baffles me to no end. Yet here is Genos. He's eager to please and willing to serve. He could be the first proper admirer and protege you'll have! The first of many!" She suggested.

"Oh, wonderful. A bunch of people following me around and studying every move I make." Saitama sarcastically remarked.

"Saitama, you're being dramatic." Boros said with an eye roll. "Genos wouldn't study your EVERY move, right?" She inquired, speaking to the cyborg.

"...Was...I not meant to?" Genos questioned, remaining bowed. "I assumed that would be an expectation of me should I become Saitama's disciple." He stated.

In reaction, it was Saitama's turn to slowly turn and look at Boros to see what she had to say.

"...Okay, so, maybe the puppy needs a little training..." Boros acknowledged, continuing with the puppy analogy for some reason. "But wouldn't it be better if we ensured that Genos doesn't find himself in a bad situation that he could've otherwise handled had he received a proper mentorship from you?" She proposed.

"...What is this WE you're referring to?" Saitama challenged, pointing at her. "YOU wouldn't be the teacher in this situation. Additionally, YOU won't be around all the time. So, there could very easily be days where it's just me and Genos. That sounds SUPER awkward." He said.

"Why? What would be so terrible about you being alone with Genos?" Boros questioned.

"I. DON'T. KNOW. HIM." Saitama stated with emphasis.

"So? You didn't know me when I arrived, but you still gave me a chance." Boros pointed out.

...

...

...

Crap. Boros did it. She won. No matter how he looked at it, Saitama couldn't find a counter.

However, there were a good number of things different about Saitama meeting Boros and Saitama meeting Genos. Firstly, Boros and Saitama had something in common: they were TOO strong. Boros had spent centuries of her life plagued by endless boredom because no lifeform in the universe before Saitama could hold its own against her. So, immediately, the two had a special connection. They knew each other's struggles and were immediately empathetic to one another.

Secondly, Boros was an alien. As simple of a difference as that was, it was still significant. She was interesting. The idea of Saitama fighting an alien was a first for ANY human. On top of that, the alien was the ruler of the entire universe! At the very least, Saitama had to satiate his curiosity and see how things would play out.

Thirdly, the way Boros conducted herself was...comforting. That's the best way Saitama could think to describe it. She'd been so polite and considerate when they first met. Now, this isn't to imply that Saitama thought Genos was rude or unpleasant. The blonde-haired cyborg just seemed...out there in such a way that was also hard for Saitama to put into words.

However, as mentioned previously, Saitama couldn't form a decent counterpoint or argument to what Boros just put forward. So, with a sigh, he accepted his defeat.

"...Alright. We'll give it a try." Saitama spoke after a minute of careful consideration.

"Thank you, sensei!" Genos exclaimed, finally straightening himself. "I promise! I will meet your expectations!" He vowed.

"Sensei?..." Saitama thought, unsure of how he felt about that.

"D'aww, you're just so adorable." Boros cooed. Amazingly, she wasn't teasing Genos. She really did think he was as cute as a puppy. "Say, you want to join us for the rest of this movie? It'd be a great way for us to get to know you." She suggested.

"Uh, Boros. I don't know if-"

"Yes! Thank you!" Genos accepted her invitation. Immediately afterward, he took the empty seat beside Saitama.

Thus, a trio was born. On the right, Lady Boros, Dominator of the Universe. On the left, Genos, a cyborg warrior of justice. In the middle, Saitama, a man wondering at what precise moment did he lose control of his life.
