Authors Note: Welcome to chapter 14 of "Tornado adopts a Unicorn".
If you're wondering how strong Overhaul is compared to Shiggy, I will give you some stats.
If Shiggy had completed his procedure as he should have in canon, Overhaul would, compared to him, be at 80% of his strength without quirk usage. Additionally, Overhaul does not have AfO and only has ten quirks plus his original quirk.
Why did Shiggy complete his procedure this time? Because Overhaul helped the doctor as per their deal.
That's why Overhaul is not a Nomu, and the doctor did not betray him. Overhaul promised the doctor that he would help him with Shigaraki if he did not betray him. He also improved the Nomus, making the High Ends even stronger.
In total, Garaki has twice as many Nomus in each category as in canon, and they are stronger, too.
The doctor is also fascinated with Overhaul's mind. He created the quirk-erasing bullets, and Kurono was also there to protect him.

Tornado adopts a Unicorn
"Prepare to die."
The area around Tatsumaki looked like hell. For hundreds of meters, rubble and destroyed parts of buildings hovered in the air. In between the rubble, thousands of villains were trapped. It was unbelievable. Even if you knew how powerful Tatsumaki was, it still was mindboggling for the villains how powerless they were compared to her.
They were all trapped. Not one villain was strong enough to escape Tatsumaki's grasp. They tried everything, but it was in vain. Even with all their numbers, the Tornado of Terror defeated them in a few seconds. The only thing they could do now was watch helplessly as Tatsumaki had her way with them.
Speaking of her, the killing intent she was radiating now made all villains in her vicinity fall unconscious.
Tatsumaki looked down at the disgusting freak below her with such intensity that a normal person would have died a long time ago. Never in her life was she that pissed at someone. Never was the desire to kill someone this great. And the piece of shit still had his hideous hand around her daughter.
How dare he!
"Let go of my daughter. Or else you'll be begging for your pathetic life for a long time." Her icy tone traveled through the air like a knife.
Overhaul could only glare at the esper above him. He was still immobilized in the air by her, and even his enhanced body could not move him even a centimeter. She was simply that strong. His only trump card was that as long he touched the girl, she couldn't do anything to him. If she tries anything, he will kill Eri. And she knows that. Even if she tries to kill him as fast as possible, killing Eri would only require a fraction of a second. His other quirks would not help him either. The diseased woman protected herself with a barrier against his energy suck, and his adaptability would take multiple days to adapt to her strength.
And that's the reason why he kidnapped Eri in the first place. Suppose his new body and combination of quirks are ineffective against her. In that case, he will use Eri as a hostage and hit her with his bullets. She is as helpless as a baby if he can erase her quirk. He just has to wait for the doctor to warp him.
On that matter, why is he taking so long? He should have been warped two minutes ago. He's aware that it was past the normal limit of the quirk, but that's exactly why they improved it so that it can warp someone at even greater distances.
"Well? Make up your mind already! If you give up now, I may spare your pathetic life. But if you dare to hurt my daughter even a little bit, I will kill you as painfully as possible." Tatsumaki's patience was running thin. Every second this freak is touching her little girl is making her even more sick to the stomach.
Overhaul is getting nervous. Without the bullets on him, he has only the girl to hold off the esper, and his time is running out. If more heroes are coming, someone might be capable of teleporting Eri out of his touch. Why is the doctor not warping him?
He didn't know that the doctor was currently occupied with more important things. Because the heroes are raiding the hospital right now, he has no time to warp the Yakuza. Shigaraki may be completed, but waking him up will take at least an hour. And Garaki was doing his best to speed up the process. He was so glad to have warped Gigantomachia earlier. He was the only force holding back the Heroes right now. Well, the Nomus helped, too, but Machia was his main force right now.
Overhaul gritted his teeth. He needs to think of something, or he will be toast. "Why are you so obsessed with the girl? She isn't even your real daughter. Do you have any idea what she's capable of? She killed her own father, and her real mother gave her away because she was afraid of her. She is cursed. You are all cursed. You don't understand how quirks are a disease that plagues our society. I will get rid of it all, purging everything that is plagued by this disgusting disease." Overhaul tried to give himself some time. If he manages to enrage the esper, she may do something stupid to get him out of this situation. But at the moment, he only makes it worse for himself.
Tatsumaki was furious. No, scratch that. She was boiling over with pure rage. It took all her willpower not to engage him in combat. She saw red. Not because he called her daughter cursed. Okay, it still pissed her off, but the main reason was that he was making Eri suffer with his words. He was reminding her of her past, how she killed her own father. And that her mother gave her away.
Eri tried to ignore him. She really tried her best. But he was saying all these mean things to her. No matter how strong she may have become, she was still only a little girl. Tears began to form in her eyes.
"Eri, don't listen to him. Remember what I told you. It is not your fault. It was an accident. You are not cursed. Your power is something special, and you can be so proud of yourself for controlling it. I'm proud of you, don't forget that. You are my daughter, and I will never give you away." Tatsumaki spoke to Eri in a strong but gentle tone. She will not let her daughter suffer any longer by this bastard.
And she somewhat succeeded. Eri looked at her mother with teary eyes and nodded, trusting in her mother's words. It still hurt, but everything would be alright as long as her mommy was here. She only had to endure it a little longer.
At this moment, Overhaul got warped away along with Eri, and Tatsumaki could only watch in horror yet again. But this time, it was different. This time, Eri's presence was not blocked by the villains. Tatsumaki immediately spotted Eri's energy signature and flew away at enormous speed. At the same time, she knocked out all the villains still in her grasp and dropped them off at the drop-off point that the police had prepared in advance.
Among them were Geten, Re-Destro, Dabi, Twice, Toga, Spinner, Skeptic, Kurono, and every other villain currently present on the battlefield.
And with her current speed, she will arrive at her destination in no time at all.
/
At the hospital, a couple of minutes before Overhaul's arrival.
It was a mess. You couldn't describe the situation otherwise. The heroes successfully raided the hospital after completely evacuating it. The students also did their part in evacuating the civilians in the city. Everything went according to plan. But it all came crashing down the moment they confronted the doctor. The fake one.
Nomus of all forms and sizes swarmed the hospital in no time. The lower heroes could hold their own against the weaker ones, but the stronger Nomus were too much for most of the heroes. And then there were the High Ends. These Nomus were as strong as heroes from the top ten. But fortunately, many top heroes were present already. Mirko, Edgeshot, Hawks, and even Endeavor were making quick work of them. And they were not alone. Many more heroes arrived at the battlefield and turned the tide again.
That was until he arrived. Out of nowhere, an enormous giant arrived at the battlefield and defeated one hero after another. They didn't stand a chance. He was just too powerful. And to make it worse, as they got pushed back even further, yet another powerful villain arrived.
It was Overhaul.
He used his quirk to destroy everything in his path, pushing them back yet again. He turned around and faced the doctor. "I see now why you didn't warp me. Looks like the heroes prepared to get rid of us all in one move. Tch, disgusting vermin. Hey, give me the gun with the bullets. She will arrive shortly." Overhaul ordered Garaki with no room to argue. They need to act quick, or else Tatsumaki will crush them all.
Garaki, still working on Shigaraki, faced Overhaul with panic in his eyes. "Then help me wake up Shigaraki. We need him to defeat her." His tone was urgent, with a slight edge in it.
They needed as many possibilities as possible to get rid of the esper. With the combined strength of Shigaraki and Overhaul, the girl in his arms as a hostage, and the perma quirk erasing bullets, they will surely defeat Tatsumaki.
Overhaul walked to the still-sleeping Shigaraki and put his hands on him. "It will take a while. Get the gun and bring it to me in the meantime."
Garaki did just that and handed him the gun, already loaded with five bullets. Overhaul took the gun and placed Eri on the ground. The girl was rooted on the spot, not daring to make a move.
"Good, it's fully loaded. Now, we only have to use it on her, and it will be our victory." Overhaul said, satisfied.
"Are you done yet with Shigaraki?" The doctor's tone was urgent.
Overhaul scoffed at the man. Who does he think he's talking to? He's not some incompetent pawn. It doesn't matter. When this whole mess is finished, he will eliminate the doctor and the League as a whole. He was reaching his limit. He can't wait to be finally out of here. He's disgusted by the doctor and his work. It stands against everything Overhaul believes.
"I'm done. He should wake up any second now. Let us pre-" CRACK-BOOOM!
He was interrupted by a loud explosion that destroyed the remaining part of the hospital, revealing them to the outside world. At first, he thought that Tatsumaki arrived. But after the dust settled, he saw that the reason for the explosion was a different one. Gigantomachia was down for the count. Who could possibly be strong enough to defeat him? It was not Tatsumaki. She was still on her way.
/
The reason was Izuku and Katsuki.
After hearing over the radio that a powerful opponent pushed back the heroes, they immediately rushed to the battlefield, with Ochaco following behind.
"Don't get in my way, Deku! You focus on the small fries, and I will take out the big guy. Got it?" Katsuki ordered him around like an underling. Their relationship may have improved in the last few months, but it was far from a real friendship. But Izuku was not bothered by him. He was already used to his antics and just nodded at him as he sweatdropped. "Yeah, got it, Kacchan."
"And Round Face, your job is to get the pros the hell out of the battle zone. I don't want to worry about some extras who are in my way." He gave Ochaco his order in the same way he gave Izuku's order.
Ochaco nodded at him with a serious face. She was ready for everything.
They arrived at the battlefield shortly after. And it was hell on Earth. Endeavor, Hawks, and Mirko were getting bodied by Machia, and the other heroes were occupied with the Nomus. The High Ends were just too strong for most of them.
Not wasting any more time, they engaged in combat. Izuku pushed OfA to 60% and rushed in. Katsuki followed behind, using his powered-up explosions to speed across the battlefield. The plan was changed. They had first to get rid of the Nomus. Izuku and Katsuki made quick work out of them, and Ochaco used her quirk to get the injured heroes out of there. The Nomus had no chance against them. Even the High Ends could not fight against Izuku with 60% of OfA.
Now, the only threat remaining was the giant.
Eraserhead, Endeavor, Mirko, Hawks, and Gran Torino were the only heroes who could continue to fight. Every other hero was taken down by the High Ends or killed.
Now, it was them against Machia.
"Midoriya? Bakugou? What are you doing here? Get away! The pros will handle this." Aizawa frantically called out to them. He didn't want to see his students on the battlefield, no matter how strong they became.
But he was ignored and got chewed out by Katsuki. "If we hadn't arrived here, your asses would've been dead. Let us fight. We will handle this situation rationally. Nobody will die today." Katsuki called out to his teacher seriously.
Eraserhead had no time to argue as the giant was once again on the offensive. Izuku powered up to 75% and used Gearshift combined with FaJin to push OfA to 180%. And Katsuki let his sweat flow through his whole body and used his explosions to follow behind Izuku.
They both powered up and used their most destructive technique to defeat Gigantomachia.
"DETROIT SMAAAAAASH!"
"HOWITZER IMPAAACT CLUSTEEER!"
The combination of these attacks was strong enough to cause an earthquake that could be felt all the way to Mustafa. The shockwave blasted everything away in its path, and even the heroes needed to push against it.
After the dust settled, the giant was knocked out on the ground. He barely survived the attack. It was pure luck that he didn't die. Had Overhaul not enhanced him, he surely would have been dead by now.
But the main threat was still at large. Behind Machia, four people emerged out of the rubble. Shigaraki, Overhaul, and Garaki appeared before the heroes. Eri was still in the clutches of Overhaul.
The heroes immediately recognized Eri and widened their eyes.
"Eri, are you hurt? Don't worry. We will get you out of there." Izuku promised the girl in a strong and gentle tone.
Shigaraki smiled dangerously at Izuku. "Izuku Midoriya, what a pleasant surprise to see you here. I'll gladly entertain you in a moment, but unfortunately, there are more important matters to handle now." Shigaraki looked in the distance and grinned like a madman. "It looks like she will arrive any moment now."
He sounded like Shigaraki, but something was off. His speech pattern and whole demeanor were different. It was almost like ... All for One.
They had no chance of thinking about it because Tatsumaki had just arrived on the battlefield. Everyone could practically feel the wrath the esper was emitting.
It was suffocating.
"How nice to finally meet you, Miss Tatsumaki. I hope we can have a nice private talk between the two of us. That means I don't have time to deal with the small fries here. Kurogiri, please take the trash out." ShigarakiAfO spoke in a weirdly composed manner.
Not a moment later, a purple vortex appeared underneath the heroes and swallowed them all. Thanks to his Danger Sense, Izuku was the only one who didn't get swallowed.
/
Kurugiri was hiding this entire time.
And now he stood before the heroes, far from the battlefield. He knew he didn't stand a chance, but he couldn't refuse the orders of his master.
The battle was over before it could even begin.
Katsuki was the first to engage him and blasted him away with no difficulty. Kurugiri was down for the count, and Eraserhead tied him up with his capture scarf.
The problem was that they were hundreds of kilometers away from Tatsumaki and Izuku. But they were not worried. They knew that Tatsumaki would deal with them with no difficulty.
/
Now, Tatsumaki and Izuku stood alone against ShigarakiAfO and Overhaul. The doctor should not be a problem. Eri was still in Overhaul's clutches, and the giant was still knocked out.
Tatsumaki didn't seem to be bothered by anything. Her mind was only focused on Eri. "It doesn't matter how many of you will fight me. You are all so weak I could kill you with a flick of my finger. Give me my daughter, and I may spare your pathetic life." Her tone gave no room to argue back. She was done. She will seriously mess them up brutally if they don't give her Eri.
ShigarakiAfO only smiled at her arrogantly. "My my, what a bad temper you have. It's always those with a powerful quirk who are the most arrogant. Let's see. If you hand over your quirk, I will give you your daughter. How's that sound?" He calmly told her, his ugly smirk still on his face.
What a dumb offer. The esper is not going to be fooled. Even if she had a quirk, the moment she gave it away, he would kill her. Yeah, as if she'd be that stupid. "Do you seriously think I will fall for that? The only way out for you is to die or let go of my daughter. Your time is running out. Make up your mind."
ShigarakiAfO scoffed at her foolishness. "Tch, have it your way then. Chisaki, now it's your turn."
Stepping forward, Overhaul spoke to Tatsumaki as if she had the plague. "If you want to have the girl, you wretch, then let me shoot you with this gun here." He said as he showed Tatsumaki the gun with the quirk erasing bullets.
Tatsumaki knows exactly what the gun is capable of. These must be the quirk-erasing bullets. Tsukauchi told her of them in one of their meetings. After she raided the Yakuza, the police found many documents for creating these things.
The problem, though, is that the situation is not that different from Shigaraki's offer. If he erases her 'quirk', he will definitely kill Eri after that. Tatsumaki's only advantage is that Overhaul doesn't know that she knows what these bullets are capable of.
What should she do?
She must think quickly. She can't stand seeing her daughter in the clutches of this freak any longer.
Think, think, THINK!
…
Wait?
That's it!
Tatsumaki leaned down and whispered something to Izuku. "Hey, Izuku." Now was not the time for nicknames. "You need to trust me on this, okay?"
Izuku was confused about what she had planned, but he knew he could trust her with his life. She may be rough around the edges, but she has a heroic heart. He nodded at her with a serious face. "Alright. What have you planned?" he whispered back.
"Just play along."
Tatsumaki turned her attention back to the villains. "Alright, here's what we're doing. Izuku will take the place of my daughter. He will walk over to you, and then you will let go of Eri and let her walk to me. After she is safely in my arms, you can shoot me." She told them her plan with a strong voice. She was serious about this.
The response she got was a laughing ShigarakiAfO. "Hahahaha, what a surprise. You heroes really are not that different from us villains. Trading a life for another one. I must say, Miss Tatsumaki, you really are pathetic." He mocked her with arrogance oozing from him.
This pissed her off again. "Tch, take the offer or die. You won't get another chance." She gritted her teeth as she shouted at him. She really has no other choice. And no, she isn't trading a life for a life. She knows that Izuku is the only person who can survive both of them. Eri would have no chance, but Izuku had Danger Sense and a powerful body. He should be fine.
Before ShigarakiAfO could reply, Overhaul stepped forward. "It's a deal then. Hand over the kid, and I will let go of the girl." You could practically hear the smugness in his voice. He really thought he had won already. And he will not let the idiot next to him provoke the esper any further. This was their only chance.
Tatsumaki once again whispered to Izuku. "Don't be scared, kid. Trust me, you will not die here, okay?" Her tone was confident and filled with encouragement.
Izuku nodded at her with a serious gaze. He will gladly take Eri's place. Even if he died here, he would still take her place. He would never let an innocent child suffer if he could do something about it.
With his mind made up, he began to walk to the villains.
ShigarakiAfo was practically drooling at Izuku. One For All was mere centimeters away from him. But he needed to wait. He would take his quirk after the bullet hit the woman. Only then would it be safe for him.
Izuku stood before Shigaraki, and the villain immediately placed a hand around his neck. Then, Overhaul let go of Eri, and the girl quickly ran to her mother.
She crashed into her mother and immediately hugged her as tightly as possible and cried into her chest. Tatsumaki folded her arms protectively around Eri and let out a couple of tears of her own. "Ssshhhh, it's alright, sweetie. I'm here now. Everything will be alright." Her tone was soothing, trying to calm the small girl down. "I- I tried to be b- brave. I really tried. Bu- But I was so scared. I was so scared, Mommy." Eri weakly stammered out as the tears continued to fall. Tatsumaki tightened her hold on Eri and rubbed her back protectively.
"Alright, Eri. Go behind my back. I will deal with the bad guys now." Tatsumaki told Eri seriously as she pushed her behind her back. "Please be careful, Mommy." Tatsumaki smiled at her and nodded.
She turned around and faced the villains once again. "Well? Shoot me already!"
Overhaul smirked underneath his mask, thinking he already won. "Gladly." He sneered at her with arrogance.
He aimed and fired his gun. The bullet hit Tatsumaki on the shoulder, but she didn't even flinch. This pain was nothing to her.
"Hehehe, do you know what I just hit you with? It was a quirk-erasing bullet, you fool. And without your quirk," Overhaul bolted in Tatsumaki's direction with enormous speed. "YOU'RE JUST A QUIRKLESS LITTLE GIRL." He screamed at her with a mad look in his eyes.
He was nearly in front of her. He stretched out his hand, but a powerful shockwave blew him away right before his hand could touch her face. A shockwave made by Tatsumaki. She pushed everything away from her with her telekinesis. She stood there with a devilish smirk on her face.
WHAT!?
His eyes were wide open in confusion and panic. He erased her quirk. He saw the bullet hitting her. She had no barrier around her when it hit her. How is this possible? Her quirk should be erased. IT SHOULD BE ERASED. IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE!
"You ... you ... YOU WRETCHED PIG. HOW ARE YOU STILL USING IT? TELL ME!" He screamed in rage. Nothing was working in his favor. She still had her quirk, and he had lost the girl. That means ... his only chance was to fight. And the only way for him to win would be ...
Yes, that could work.
Tatsumaki slowly made her way to them. She was not holding back right now. Her power was suffocating the villains by sheer pressure. "I will tell you a little secret, bastard. I don't have a quirk. Your plan was doomed from the start. Now ... it's time to die." Tatsumaki prepared another attack after taking Izuku out of the grasp of ShigarakiAfO. The villain didn't stop her, still processing how she apparently didn't have a quirk. The time he noticed that Izuku was out of his clutches, it was already too late.
The next shockwave was only a few meters away from hitting them all. But before it could hit them, Overhaul grabbed ShigarakiAfo and consumed him.
What has he planned?
It was simple. Overhaul knew he did not stand a chance against Tatsumaki, so he prepared something that could take her out. His quirk lets him fuse with others, and because Shigaraki has an even stronger body than him, his only chance would be to fuse with him. Not only that, he also fused with Gigantomachia and Garaki. The doctor would not bring much power, but he needed every bit of power he could get.
The shockwave hit them, and after it cleared out, a hideous monster stood before Tatsumaki. It was unclear who was in control. Was it AfO, Shigaraki, or Overhaul? It didn't matter right now. The monster had only one thought. And that was to kill Tatsumaki.
Tatsumaki was unimpressed and ordered Freckles to get Eri the hell out of here. "Freckles, take Eri and bring her somewhere safe. I will deal with this monster here."
Eri looked at her with wide eyes. "But, Mom. He looks really scary. Can you really bea-" "Eri. What did I tell you?" Tatsumaki looked at Eri with a gentle smile. "I'm the strongest. Don't worry. It will only take a minute, and then I'll be back. I promise." Her tone made Eri at ease. She will trust her mom. Because she's right. She really is the strongest. "Alright, please be careful, mom."
Tatsumaki nodded and told Izuku to go. The boy flew away without wasting any more time.
Now, only Tatsumaki and the monster were left. If she had to guess, the thing would be a Dragon-Level Threat by her world's standards. 'Heh, let's see how much it can take before dying. This will be fun.' Tatsumaki thought with a mad smirk on her face. It was time to go monster hunting again.
"What are you smirking about? I will kill you and everyone you love. And then I will get my hands on One for All and destroy every quirk on the planet. I will destroy you. I will purge this world of heroes and quirks." It said in a frenzy. It was unclear who was in control. Their characters were fighting for control.
But Tatsumaki couldn't care less. Her only objective was to kill this thing. She stretched out her arm and grabbed the monster with her telekinesis. What does she even call this thing? Shigahaul? Overshigaraki? Urgh, let's just call it OverRaki.
OverRaki fought against her telekinesis with everything he had. "I ... won't lose ... TO YOUUU! AAARRRRGGGHHH!"
It was really pathetic. Even now, he was too weak to get out of her grasp. He struggled against her. Tatsumaki increased the pressure, and it suffered through it. Tatsumaki was enjoying it. Her smirk grew as she looked directly into his eyes. "Hehe, what's wrong? Where did all your cockiness go? Come on, at least try to get out of it. Or are you really that weak?" Her smirk disappeared and was replaced with a scowl. "I will enjoy killing you. You bastard will pay for what you've done to my daughter. I wonder how many times you killed her in the past. But it doesn't matter. You have regeneration, right? Then how about we test how long you will survive till your mind breaks. How does that sound?" She told him with no emotion in her tone. She will show no mercy to someone like ... him? They? Eh, doesn't matter. IT will die anyway.
She flew upward to not get bothered by anyone. She wants to enjoy this little torture session alone. In the sky, she began to work. For the next couple of hours, loud screams of unbearable pain were heard through the air. She really was showing no mercy. She did so many things to him. Ripped his limbs off, crushed his balls, damaged his internal organs, and many more things that should not be described here. And because of his regeneration, she could continue to torture him for a long time. If he fell unconscious, she only needed to share her energy and could continue. She gave him no break. Even after he pleaded with her, she didn't stop. He begged like the pathetic worm he is.
It was late in the evening when she decided to finally kill him and return home.
The battle was over. Not a single villain could escape. Every base was successfully raided, with no escapees. The only collateral damage was where the battle with OverRaki took place. And even there, not a single civilian was injured or dead. It was a total success. Well, if you ignore the heroes who were killed in the fight against the High Ends.
But all in all, the League of Villains, the Shie-Hassaikai, and the MLA were history. And it was all thanks to Tatsumaki. Without her, who knows how it all would've ended? Speaking of her, she completely ignored all attempts from reporters to interview her and flew straight back home. She didn't even notice all the commotion around Dabi, who turned out to be Touya Todoroki or all the other villains. The only thing on her mind was seeing her daughter.
The other thing was All Might's retirement. This time, for real. He used the last remaining embers of One for All to raid one of the villains' hideouts. In only four minutes, he arrested every villain present. He felt like he was back in the day and enjoyed his last heroic act.
Tatsumaki landed at UA and rushed to Nezu's office. She was told Eri was there. Without knocking, she slammed the door open and scanned the room. Sitting at a small table and watching the news with Nezu, Eri noticed her mother entering and immediately rushed at her to embrace her. She was crying tears of happiness and relief. Finally, she was in the safe arms of her mother and felt her warmth.
Tatsumaki rested her chin on Eri's head and tightly hugged her daughter. A soft smile could be seen on her face. "I'm here, Eri. I'm here, like I said. And I promise I will never let go of you again." Her tone was gentle, and Eri bathed in the affection she received right now. "I missed you, Mommy. I missed you so much." Eri spoke quietly, her voice strained. The last four weeks were just too much for her. She was so glad to be finally with her mom again.
"I missed you too."
They stayed like this for a long time, not bothered by anything around them. Nezu let them have their moment and only concentrated on the news right now. He was once again amazed by the sheer power of the esper beside him. He smiled, knowing that the worst was finally over. With the League gone, his school could finally recover.
After a couple of minutes, Eri fell asleep in Tatsumaki's arms, completely exhausted by this crazy day. Tatsumaki picked her up and made her way to Nezu. "I'll be going now. If you need something, don't bother calling me. I want to enjoy the evening with my daughter." She turned around and walked outside but stopped and spoke quietly from the door. "But ... thanks, Nezu." Then she flew away with Eri sleeping in her arms.
/
It had been two weeks since the great raid on the PLF, and Tatsumaki and her students got back to their usual routine. The brats, along with Tatsumaki, were known throughout the country at this point. And why wouldn't they? A couple of sixteen-year-olds managed to impress the strongest hero ever. And they even worked with more efficiency than some pros. Yeah, no wonder they are widely known.
At the moment, they all enjoyed a well-earned break. Tatsumaki picked Sparky to help her today. They were active in Germany, and Freckles and Chibi were ordered to protect Kyoto. And now they all sat in a small restaurant and ate their food.
Tatsumaki had pasta. Nothing new there. And the others decided to eat something small. "Heh, look at that, Deku." Katsuki showed Izuku a picture on his smartphone. On it, you could see Katsuki standing victorious over several villains. "I managed to beat up 18 villains at the same time. And what did you accomplish today? Huh? Oh, right, you only stopped a robbery. Everybody could do that." Katsuki smirked at Izuku with smugness. His tone mocking him.
But Izuku was not bothered by him. He simply smiled at Katsuki. "That's great, Kacchan. I knew you would be an amazing hero." He told him, exited. Katsuki looked at him surprised, with a tick mark on his forehead. "Tch. Damn Deku."
Ochaco looked at the scene with fondness. She loves it when these two are at it again. Well, ... more Katsuki than Izuku, but you know what she means.
Tatsumaki couldn't be bothered. She only wanted to eat her food in silence and ignored the rest.
After they finished their meal, it was time to train. They all assembled at their usual spot in the wasteland and got ready to fight. They usually fought in a 3v1 and tried to survive as long as possible. The current record was 18 minutes. Of course, Tatsumaki does not go all out, but it is still impressive that they managed to survive that long.
But before the fight could begin, a portal opened next to Tatsumaki.
Her eyes immediately widened. She knew that energy. Forget that. She even recognized that portal. But was it really possible? Could it be?
Tatsumaki's breathing got faster. Her entire body was shaking. Please ... let it be real. It has to be real. This was not a dream. She was awake.
Slowly, Tatsumaki made her way to the portal.
For so many months, she has waited, thinking about the future. What if Blast never finds her? What if he lost the fight? What if ... he simply doesn't care? Of course, she knew he would never do that, but it was still in her head the entire time.
The students didn't know what was happening and got ready to fight. But they were stopped by Tatsumaki, who held out her hand. "Stop. This is not a threat. Hehe ... HAHAHA!" The excitement was boiling over, and a small giggle escaped her mouth. And her giggle transformed into a heartful laugh. It was really him. "You brats can be honored. Any moment now, you will stand near the greatest hero of all time." Her voice sounded so relieved, as if she had been waiting for this moment for a long time.
The students were confused by her remark. Wasn't she the greatest? And before her, it was All Might. So, who could she mean?
But their question was quickly answered by a muscular man walking through the portal in a cool-looking hero suit with a long cape. After him came another person, a woman this time, and she had a long green dress. She looked beautiful, and the longer the students looked at her, the more they noticed that she looked a lot like Tatsumaki. What is happening right now? Who are these people?
No more people came through the portal and it simply stayed open.
Tatsumaki landed on her knees. Her legs were not working at the moment. She looked at the two before her with pure happiness and relief. "Fu- Fubuki? And ... Blast? You are here. You are really here. I- I don't know what to say." She smiled at them fondly. Her tone was soft, not rough as it usually was.
Fubuki saw her sister and blitzed at her with speed she didn't even know she possessed. She embraced Tatsumaki tightly. "SISTER! Oh god, we finally found you. We were looking everywhere for you. I'm so glad you are alright." She told Tatsumkai breathlessly.
"Fubuki, I have to tell you so much. So much has happened, you won't believe it. You have t-" "Hey, Midget, who the hell are these people?" Katsuki butted in, slightly irritated by the situation. He hates it when nothing makes sense.
Fubuki was confused as well. Was her sister actually glad to see her? And why was she acting so soft? What happened to her? It was a totally different side from her. She never saw her like this. In the past, she would push Fubuki away if she dared to hug her without permission. Is this really her? "STOP CALLING ME MIDGET, YOU BRAT. DO YOU WANT ANOTHER BEATING?!" Ah, there it is. There is the sister she missed all this time.
It was at this time that Blast decided to make himself present. "Hey, Tatsumaki." He smiled at her with kindness. His tone was deep but calming. "I'm really sorry to drag you here. But it looks like you managed to get by, huh?" He then patted her head like he had in the past.
Tatsumaki smiled back at him, enjoying the familiar feeling. "Don't worry, Blast. I knew you didn't do it on purpose. Really, it was all my fault anyway. I should've known you could defeat that guy on your own. Don't worry about it."
The teens' mouths hit the floor. Did that guy just pat her head and survive? HUH? She even looks like she is enjoying it. How? Who is that guy? The teens couldn't believe their eyes.
And Fubuki was surprised yet again as well. Even if it was a Blast, her sister had NEVER spoken this softly to anyone. It was totally unreal.
The esper decided to calm everyone down and meet at UA to discuss the situation. "Okay, guys, I know everyone has questions, but I really don't want to answer everything twice, so we will all meet at UA, and then I can explain everything." She explained and quickly took off with Blast and Fubuki following her. They were already used to her character. On the other hand, the teens were ordered to keep fighting villains for the day. They don't know Tatsumaki's secret yet. And she first needs to think about how she will explain everything to them.
On her flight, she contacted Nezu and told him to gather everyone. It was an emergency.
/
Nezu was in his office at UA with Eri, All Might, and Tsukauchi. He wasted no time when he received the message that he needed to get everyone here. He doesn't know what kind of emergency it is, but if Eri is involved, it must be something important.
They didn't have to wait long before the door to his office was slammed open. Unfortunately, this was nothing new. Tatsumaki entered alongside two other people he didn't know yet. The male looked like a hero, and the female looked dangerously close to Tatsumaki. Who are th...
Oh!
Nezu smiled knowingly at Tatsumaki, already figuring out who these people must be. But before he could welcome Tatsumaki, Eri sprinted over and crashed into her mother. "Mom! Mr. Nezu told me there was an emergency. Did the bad guys do something evil again? Please tell me, Mom." Eri was worried and looked at her mother with big, round eyes. Tatsumaki softly smiled at Eri and caressed her hair. "No, sweetie. Everything is fine."
THUD!
Fubuki fell unconscious and slammed on the floor. And Blast was not fairing any better. His mouth was wide open, and his eyes looked at Tatsumaki as if she had four heads.
Was the kid calling her ... mom? No no no, it couldn't be possible. This was not Tatsumaki. She had to be an imposter. Tatsumaki would never allow someone to call her mom, even if it was a kid.
Fubuki woke up again and tried to stand up. She pointed a finger at Tatsumaki and spoke with a shaking voice. Her face was pale. "Di- di- di- did that k- kid just call you ... m- m- m- mom? Hey, sister, stop making fun o- of me and tell me what the hell happened."
Tatsumaki smiled at her sister, picked up Eri in her arms, and walked to Fubuki. "I'm not fooling anyone here, Fubuki. This one right here is my daughter, Eri. And Eri, let me introduce you to your aunt, Fubuki."
Eri looked surprised. Her aunt was here? Had her mom really found her sister again? It was kind of overwhelming for the small girl. But she wasn't the scared little girl anymore and smiled brightly at Fubuki. "Nice to meet you, Aunty. I'm Eri. Do you also like to beat up bad guys like mommy?"
Fubuki was still in shock and needed to collect herself. She shook her head and tried to answer the girl. "Uhhh ... Ni- Nice to meet you too, Eri. Well ... ummm ... I'm a hero, so ... kind of?" She fumbled over her words embarrassingly. This was far too much for her. She was an aunt now? This day can't get any crazier.
It was nice seeing her sister this overwhelmed. She glanced at Tsukauchi and the others and noticed that she still needed to introduce her to them. "Hey, Fubuki, there are still more people here. This one right here is Tsukauchi, a detective. He helped me settle down in this world. And this skeleton is All Might, this world's number one hero, well, before I arrived. And finally, Nezu, the principal of UA, which is a hero school in this world. He's a pain in the ass." Tatsumaki gladly introduced them to Fubuki with a smile.
"Uhh, nice to meet you. I hope my sister didn't give you too much trouble." This got a scoff out of Tatsumaki.
Nezu smiled cheerfully at Fubuki. "Fufufu, oh, I can assure you, she was on her best behavior. It's a pleasure finally meeting you, Miss Fubuki." He spoke cheerfully and shook her hand.
Yet another thing Fubuki needed to digest. Apparently, animals can talk in this world? What the hell is this place?
All Might and Tsukauchi also shook her hand. At least they looked normal. Okay, maybe not the blonde. He looked like he would die any second now.
Tatsumaki was excited. It was finally time to introduce Blast to everyone. She was so excited to show everyone Earth's greatest hero. Tasumaki coughed into her hand to get everyone's attention.
"Alright, you met Fubuki now. But there is still one person left out." Tatsumaki smirked smugly at them and gestured to Blast. "Let me introduce you to my world's greatest hero. S-Class Rank 1, Blast. Now, show him the respect he deserves." Her tone was filled with smugness. You can't hold it against her. Blast is her mentor figure, and he means so much to her.
The person in question, on the other hand, smiled nervously at Tatsumaki and put a hand on her shoulder. "Actually, Tatsumaki, I'm not the number one anymore."
What?
Tatsumaki took a double take and looked at Blast as if he was a ghost. "You ... what? How ... oh, did King take your spot? Well, that makes sense. He's the only one wh-" "It was not King." He interrupted her. "The new number one is called One-Punch-Man. You have met him already, actually. His name is Saitama." Tatsumaki looked at Blast in confusion. Who is Saitama?
"It's the baldy, sister." Fubuki cleared everything up.
Oh, it's the baldy.
...
HIM? HOW?
Sure, he's strong. But this guy has the intellect of an insect. How did he manage to take the number one spot?
Blast noticed Tatsumaki's distress and tried to calm her down. "I will explain everything when we get back. First, let me speak to this world's number one." Blast explained and walked to All Might.
"It's an honor to meet this world's number one. It's a pleasure to meet you." Blast shook All Might's hand.
All Might returned the gesture with his trademark smile. "Hahaha, the pleasure is all mine. I can't believe I get to meet the number one of another world. It surely is something special." At heart, All Might will always be a hero, so of course he is excited to meet the number one of another world. Former, if what he heard was right. But it doesn't matter.
Then, Blast's face turned serious, and he turned around to face Tatsumaki. "I don't want to be that guy, but unfortunately, we don't have much time left. We must return in the next 10 minutes, or we might be stuck here forever."
The esper looked shocked at him. "Huh? Why?"
Blast sighed and explained the situation. "After you disappeared, we tried everything to find you. It should have been easy because I travel through dimensions all the time. But for some reason, this dimension here is disconnected from everything else. I don't know how something like this is possible, but it is how it is. We only managed to find you because Child Emperor worked multiple months straight alongside your sister and me. I taught him about multidimensional travel, and Fubuki was needed to trace your energy signature. And that's why we can't stay here or even return if we want. You need an esper on the other side to trace you, or else you won't be able to open a portal. We have a time limit, and we are stuck here if we don't return in that time frame. Without an esper on the other side, Child Emperor cannot open another portal. And he can't hold the portal open for much longer." Blast explained somberly, knowing that Tatsumaki made many new connections in this world.
Tatsumaki was surprisingly calm about this. Sure, she met new people here, but everything will be fine as long as Eri is by her side. Speaking of which, what will Eri say about all of this? She still hadn't told her that she was from a different world.
She looked down at the confused girl in her arms. "Hey, sweetie, I have to tell you something. It'salright if you don't understand it. But ... your mom needs to go home. The thing is, if you want to go with me, we can't ever return here. I ... come from a different world." She tried to explain the situation as best as possible, but Eri still looked at her with question marks in her eyes. "A different world? You all were talking about it this entire time. What do you mean by that? Are we moving into a new house?"
Tatsumaki smiled sadly at her daughter. "No, sweetie. How should I explain this? Umm ... look, do you remember the anime we watched with the annoying guy and the useless goddess?" The girl nodded at her. "It's like that. We go through a portal and live in my home world. We can never return to this one here."
Eri, now understanding the situation better, thought about it. Then, she looked at her mother with a serious gaze. "As long as mommy is with me, I don't care. Please take me with you." Eri told her with a strong voice.
"Please think about it carefully, Eri. If you want to stay here, I will also stay here. This is your choice."
But Eri had made up her mind and shook her head. "Nuhuh. You said you wanted to see your sister. If you stay here, you will never see her again, right? Then I also don't want to stay here." Eri took Tatsumaki's hand and smiled brightly at her. "Let's go home, mom."
This girl. She really was the best daughter you could ask for. Tatsumaki picked Eri up once again and walked to Nezu and the others. "Well, you heard the little one. This means goodbye, then." She told them in a quiet tone with a sad smile on her face. She would never admit it, but she would miss them. They've grown on her in the last couple of months.
Nezu was the first to speak with her and stood up from his chair. "Don't worry, Miss Tatsumaki. It was a pleasant experience working with you. I will explain everything to the students, so don't think about it too much." He told her somberly and shook her hand.
Next was All Might. "Young Tatsumaki, you don't know how much it meant to me that you picked out my successor and trained him. He grew so much in these last months, and it's all thanks to you. And please continue being a great hero in your world." Despite his sickly appearance, All Might's voice boomed through the room.
And lastly, it was Tsukauchi's turn. "Where do I even start? You were the first person to give me ten headaches in a row. Congratulations on that one, by the way. You also made my life so much harder. It was unbearable. But ... it was also nice seeing your softer side when you looked after your daughter. Please don't change in the future. You may have a hard shell, but you are a total softie underneath it all." Tsukauchi teased her with a smirk.
Heh, this bastard.
With everyone finished saying their goodbye, it was time to go home. Oh man, how long she wished for that to happen. And now it was getting difficult letting them all go. She forced a smug grin on her face and faced them one last time. "If that is all, I'll be going now. I hope this world will survive without me. But I think it is in good hands if the brats are here." And, of course, she can't go without insulting the heroes of this world one last time.
They watched Tatsumaki walk over to Blast and Fubuki with Eri in her arms. Then, Blast made a hand sign, and they vanished without a trace. He teleported them to the portal with which they arrived.
And with that, Tatsumaki was gone. Never seen again. Her only regret was that she was unable to say goodbye to her students. She will miss them the most.
It was quiet in Nezu's office.
Now, they needed to create a story to explain why the strongest hero had vanished without a trace.
Great.

End of chapter 14.
I hope you enjoyed the chapter.
Oh boy, over 8000 words. xD
I hope it didn't turn out to be too long.
Yeah, no one died from the League. Well, exept Shigaraki and Garaki. I won't write about how Endeavor and Shoto react when they discover that Touya is alive. Just imagine it will turn out as it does in canon, except that Dabi is alive. Toga will get therapy. And twice gets a second chance because of Hawks. And Kurugiri ... well, his old friends will manage to return his memories after years of speaking to him.
This story only focuses on Eri and Tatsumaki, and I'm sorry, but I really don't want to write about the others that much.
Also, I don't know how ONE will finish the manga, so I can only speculate about how it will turn out. At the moment, we are at chapter 200 or something. So it will probably not turn out like I wrote in my story. :D So ... in here, Saitama is the new number one. The next chapter will explain how that happened.
Okay, that was it. The story is finished. I can't really believe it. XD
My first time writing something, and I even finished it.
Thank you for reading my story. It was so nice reading all your reviews. :D
But don't worry. There is still an epilogue chapter to look forward to.
Well, that's all, folks. Please review. :)
Bye.
