Kairi woke up, this time there was no rain drop sounds much to her disappointment.

It had been a few weeks since her last mental breakdown, but through those last few weeks she had been staying off from school due to her lack of energy and getting sick again.

It made her wonder how long it will be until the next time she gets sick or has any more breakdowns. She hated them, she honestly wished she could control it but she knew she couldn't because she was so messed up in the head due to the abuse.

How she wished she was normal.

There was a knock on the door, she turned her head towards it only to see her daddy, he smiled, walked over and sat on the bed.

"How are you feeling?" he asked as he placed his hand against her forehead. "Hmm…you're still warm."

"I'm fine." she said, trying to sound convincing. "Really, daddy."

Her daddy smiled at her, "If you're sure you are feeling better…."

"Really, daddy."

"All right. I'll be dropping you off since it's icy out there today and you'll ride with Emmett and the others."

"Ok, love you."

"I love you too, little princess."

She smiled, she sat up and got out of bed. Kairi walked over to the desk and put on Lose Control by Missy Elliot. She got dressed for the day, a short sleeve white shirt, blue jeans with a white jumper. She put her things in her backpack, counting her new book, Pride and Prejudice.

She put her tape recorder into the bag with a few of her favorite tapes. She then got her wooly socks on along with her winter boots on. She did her hair and tied it up into a ponytail. She picked her bag up and went down the stairs.

She saw her daddy in the kitchen, he turned around and smiled. "I made you something easy for your stomach."

"Thanks, daddy."

She walked to the table and sat on the stool, she started to eat her toast as her daddy set a glass of orange juice.

"Eat up, sweetheart."

Kairi nodded, but after a few bites she started to feel sick again, so she pushed it out of the way and focused on her juice.

"Not hungry?" her daddy asked.

She didn't trust herself to speak, so she settled with a nod. He nodded, "See if you can eat something at school then, but you do have to eat."

KAiri nodded, she got her jacket and hat on, she walked out of the house and down the steps (carefully so she wouldn't trip) and got into the car.

Her daddy came in the car, into the driver's seat. "Are you ready?"

"As I'll ever be."

He dropped her off at the entrance of the school and she walked through the hallways and found her locker.

She saw Bella in the car park, so she took a breath in and walked to her.

"Hello, Bella."

She looked at her in surprise as she was speaking to her.

"You called me Bella." she started in surprise, "Not Isabella, like everyone here did."

"Would you prefer that?" Kairi asked, feeling confused.

"No, I like Bella."

Kairi nodded, "I'm Kairi, but my…..family calls me Kai for short."

Bella smiled and shook the young girl's hand, "Have you been well?"

Kairi shook her head, "Not so much, but I feel so much better today!"

Bella smiled, so she and Kairi spoke while they waited for the bell to ring so they could start class for the day. But then some sounds caught Kairi's attention due to her mutation, feral. She looked to see a van headed their way at full speed, sliding on the ice like the driver couldn't control his vehicle.

It was happening so fast, Kairi's heart beat, but then she was on her knees and Edward pulled both of them to him while he stopped the van with his hand.

Kairi fell sideways and darkness took her from the whiplash of it all. When she came to…

She felt someone was carrying her if the rocking back and forth was anything to judge by, so she opened her eyes to meet Emmett's gold worried eyes.

"Bambi? Ya all right?" he asked, no joking tone in his voice….

For once he actually sounded serious.

"Em…?" she asked in a weak voice.

"I gotcha."

She sighed and laid her head against his chest, letting his rocking lure her back to sleep. As long as Emmett will be with her, she'll be safe.

"Is she okay, Emmett?" Rosalie said, her voice sounded far away as Kairi tried to lure herself asleep.

"No, she's got a fever….again. She ain't doin' good."

"We need to get her to Carlisle." Rosalie told him.

"Better get her to the ambulance otherwise they'd be asking questions."

No one said anything else after that, so Kairi welcomed the darkness. When she woke up, she was on a hospital bed. She could hear BElla talking with Chief Swan, "You can kiss your license goodbye."

Kairi couldn't see anything through due to the curtains being closed, probably for her own good.

"I heard the chief's daughter was here."

That was her daddy.

So she listened to the conversation, was her daddy angry with her?

Her daddy's voice went all quiet so Kairi couldn't hear what he was saying well. But then Bella spoke up.

"Lucky that Edward happened to be standing next to me and Kairi." Bella said in a hard voice.

Kairi didn't hear what was said next, but then the curtains opened to reveal her daddy, with a worried expression, "Kairi…."

She tried to smile, but she was sure it was a grimace. "Hey…daddy."

He walked over to her and placed a hand on her forehead, which made her feel cooler.

"You've got a fever, I knew it wasn't a good idea to let you go to school."

"Hugs?" she asked, changing the subject.

Kairi knew she was sounding like a kid, but she didn't care. All she wanted to do was have a hug.

She just felt so valuable.

Why did her head feel so light and woozy?

Carlisle sighed, he took her hand and gave it a squeeze, "Try to rest, sweetheart. I'll get Emmett to take you home, Esme will be there."

"Nooo."

"Kairi…." he said, placing a hand on her forehead. "You're burning. You're not thinking straight."

"Wanna stay with yu…."

Her daddy sighed, looking sad. He placed a hand on the top of her head, "I'm sorry for doing this."

He left, leaving her alone but then he came back. He had a syringe in his hand. He was going to senate her.

"No…"

"I'm sorry, this will help." he said as he injected the drug into her arm. "Just rest."

With that said, against her will, her mind became foggy and her eyes shut and she welcomed the darkness of sleep.

When she came to, she found someone, for the second time that day, carrying her. But this time she was at the house.

She looked up to see Carlisle carrying her, he looked down at her and gave her a smile.

"How are you feeling?"

She pouted, "you drugged me."

He sighed, he knew how much she hated needles. "I know, but you needed the rest."

"School."

"Not today, you need to rest a bit more and you went through a lot today."

Kairi sighed, she couldn't stay mad at him forever so she just closed her eyes again, letting the rocking lure her back to sleep.

Sometime later, she was waking up again, hunger luring her awake. So she opened her eyes to find it quite dark. So she looked out at the window to see the stars were out.

How long had she been sleeping?

She winced as she felt a pinch in her arm so she lifted her arm up to see an IV line going into her arm, most likely antibiotics.

Had she really been that ill? She had felt fine this morning. So…why?

Suddenly there was a click of her door so she turned her head to see her daddy coming in and he sighed in relief.

He walked over and sat on the bed, he took her hand that had the IV dip in it.

"How are you feeling, sweetheart?"

"Stiff."

"You've been slipping in and out of consciousness all day, it's quite late now." he said as he removed the rag across her forehead and then placed a hand on her forehead. "You're cooler than earlier, but still warm."

"Does that mean I can go to school tomorrow?"

He looked at her with a serious look, "We'll see how you're feeling."

That was better than nothing, she didn't even know why she's been feeling ill all the time lately, her daddy got her checked out for cancer or any other serious illness. But it always came back negative.

He got out the rag again and jabbed it against her forehead, "Try to get some rest."

She nodded and closed her eyes, dreaming.

Kair was sure that she was dreaming this time around, because she saw someone else she had seen as a daddy once upon a time, the one man that tried to save her before her daddy did.

"John?"

John Winchester was leaning against the wall, looking at something down on his phone.

"Hey, sweet girl." he said in his guff voice.

He got off the wall and walked over to her, he placed a hand on her shoulder and his brown eyes looked up and down at her.

"Look at you…." he said. "All grown up. How old are ya now?"

"Um….15."

"Yep, all grown up." he said, "How's that vamp treating ya?"

Kairi looked up at him worriedly, she knew how much he hated supernatural beings, so it worried her.

"Daddy has been treating me well. Don't hurt him."

"They don't drink from humans, do they?"

Kairi shook her head while not breaking eye contact, "no."

"Good. Then I don't need a reason." he told her gently. "I don't have long. I was just hoping to see you before I head off."

He took her hand and pulled her in for a hug, she couldn't help but return it. "I'll see you around, kid."

Kairi snapped her eyes open and bolt up in bed, she rubbed her hands over her eyes and looked out her window to find it was daylight.

That dream was so…..strange….was that really John? But that didn't seem like him at all.

She shook her head and decided to write in her journal again.

Yesterday there was a freak accident with somebody's van, don't know whose, but…it scared me.

I felt fine but after the accident I fell ill out of the blue. It frightened me just as much as the van. I know my biology family has had cancer through the past but I hope that isn't what it is.

Or Maybe…..God does hate me.

But last night I had the strangest dream about John Winchester, he was speaking to me in my dreams. I now have questions for him…

Why does he want to speak to me now after all this time?

Did he hear that Adiran had moved on after daddy saved me?

How did he hear about daddy being a vampire?

Does he miss me?

I wished I could'a asked him about this…..

Kairi jumped as the door was opened, she didn't hear it click open and she look up to see her daddy.

"Daddy." she said smiling.

"How are you feeling?" he asked her gently. "You look better than yesterday."

"I feel loads better today, daddy." she said, giving her best puppy face. "So please can I go to school today?"

"As long as you take it easy," he said.

"Promise!"

Her daddy chuckled, it made her blush. She then looked at the dip in her arm and gave it a glare. "Can I have it out now?"

"I suppose." he said, sighing.

That was exactly what he did,he stopped the machine and shut it off. Then he pulled the tape back, Kairi couldn't help but wince at the sticky stuff getting pulled off, and pulled it out of her arm.

"All done," he said as he got rid of the little blood that was coming out of her arm. "Get dressed. Esme's making your favorite."

Kairi could not help but gave him the biggest smile ever. So she got out of bed and quickly got dressed. She tied her hair up into a ponytail and put her stuff into her packback.

She went to the book shelf and picked out Little Women and put it into her bag. She took her bag, mix tape and left the bedroom. She smiled as she saw her mom coming to her and wrapped her arms around the young girl.

"How are you feeling?"

Her mom was basically a real life Snow White, with beautiful glossy brown hair and a beautiful smile that made Kairi feel so loved.

"I'm feeling better, mom. I'm sorry for worrying you and the others."

"It's ok, but take it easy today."

Kairi nodded and went to the table where her favorite breakfast was, thost with scrambled egg and on the side there were tomatoes with lettuce. A big glass of milk was beside the plate.

Once she finished, she got ready to go to school….

Kairi only hoped today would be better and that she won't get sick again…
