"Rhajat..." A familiar voice called.
The diviner searched her surroundings, her heart racing.
"It's okay Rhajat... it's just me."
Azura suddenly manifested in front of her.
Rhajat sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Don't do that...!"
Azura looked guilty. "I'm sorry. Not just for that but... I wish I could have prevented your kidnapping." She couldn't make eye contact with Rhajat. She gave Rhajat power, but she wondered if the cost was worth it.
Rhajat's expression softened. While she wasn't happy about what happened, she didn't blame Azura for it. "It's fine. What happened to you though?"
"I tried to call for you but you couldn't hear me." Azura explained. "That monster... I was powerless."
Rhajat folded her arms. "Any idea who that was?" She had a feeling she wouldn't like the answer.
"...I..." Azura looked away, making it clear she knew something. Once more, she wasn't sure how much she could say. "That... was our true enemy."
Rhajat's eyes widened. "What?" Not only did that surprise her, it also gave her a bit of anxiety. That person had the ability to infiltrate Rhajat's mind, as well as suppress Azura. She wondered just who she was making an enemy of.
"Sorry, I truly wish I could explain everything, but I can't risk it. I'll just say... they're not someone we can defeat, not yet. One day though..." Azura wasn't the most positive person, she was more realistic. She truly believed that one day they would be able to topple that monster.
Rhajat desperately wished to know more, but she knew not to push. "Well... whatever. No matter who they are, they're dead. No one makes a fool out of me and gets away with it."
"Right... together, we can do this." Azura smiled at Rhajat.
"Sister...?"
Both girls looked around, realizing that the waking world seemed to be calling Rhajat. They nodded at each other before Rhajat came to.
"Huh...?" Rhajat blinked a few times. She raised her head, and noticed she was still in class. She looked towards the girl who called her, Flayn.
"Are... you well?" She asked, her eyes filled with sympathy, and even a bit of guilt. She hated that anyone had to suffer because of her blood.
"Yeah, don't worry about it." Rhajat looked away, then looked back towards Flayn "Wait, what did you call me?"
Flayn blushed and looked away. "What you did for me meant a lot... I wanted to give you some sort of respect when I address you as a result. Not to mention..." Flayn started pulling on her hair. "Our hair colors are pretty similar don't you think? We could be sisters..." She knew how Rhajat could be, and as a result wasn't sure how she would react. She just hoped that she wouldn't be upset with her, or laugh in her face.
Rhajat stared at her for a few seconds. She then blushed as well. "Call me whatever you want..." Rhajat hated how hard it was for her to hide her emotions. She couldn't say no to the girl, she found her adorable.
Flayn jumped for joy. "Thank you Sister...! Oh, but class has ended. You fell asleep, but we chose to let you rest. You've... been through a lot recently." Guilt returned to Flayn's face. She wished she had been strong enough to fight back against the death knight, like her classmates. She hoped being taught by Byleth would do something about that.
She looked around the classroom, and noticed the rest of the class had left. "How long have I been out?" She asked. She was a bit embarrassed that she slept in the middle of the classroom, but at the very least no one seemed to mind it.
"Not too long. Again, class just ended. Our classmates were all concerned, but at my insistence, they left you up to me." Flayn then started giggling. "It was a bit hard to get Corrin to go however." She said with a wink. Even she could tell there was something going on between the two, and she was more than happy to encourage it.
Rhajat got out of her chair. It was still hard for her to understand that so many people here seemed to care about her. She wasn't even sure if she deserved it. Regardless, she looked down at the small girl. "Thank you... Sister."
Flayn stared for a few seconds before nodding enthusiastically. "I'm here for you, just as you were for me." She started smiling happily.
"By the way... don't expect me to call you that all the time." She had an image to uphold after all. She wanted to at least say it once, and she had to admit, it felt good.
"It's no problem!" Flayn started giggling again. "I know you're a shy one."
Rhajat blushed again before rolling her eyes. "I'm gonna go. I'll see you around." She also hated how easy it was for her classmates to read her. It got on her nerves, but at the same time she didn't really mind it too much.
"Goodbye Sister." Flayn waved at her as Rhajat left the room.
Flayn looked around the empty space with a look of fondness. She supposed this was going to be her life for a while. One day, she hoped she'd be strong enough so she'd be doing the protecting and not being the protected. She nodded with determination. She would prove to Seteth that she wasn't a little girl who needed her hand held. She wanted to be strong enough to protect her sister, and her new friends as well. So far everyone seemed like good people to her. Not just because they worked so hard to save their leader, but they seemed like a fun group. For the first time, Flayn felt like she could truly gain friends. In a way, she had the death knight to thank for it. He was still out there, and in spite of the fact that he helped her in a way, she promised herself that she'd never let him hurt her again.
…
"So you do this for every birthday?" Flayn asked with a tilt of her head.
Corrin nodded. "Yup! Oh, you're one of us now! When's your birthday?"
Flayn smiled. "I appreciate the thought, but my birthday has already passed. It was during the blue sea moon."
"Aw, that sucks." Asugi lamented. "We'll make it up to you somehow."
Flayn giggled. "There's no need. Besides, I am just happy to have been accepted with open arms."
Rhajat then walked into the classroom. "Alright, they're coming."
Flayn clasped her hands together. "What do we do now Sister?"
Rhajat blushed slightly. She still wasn't used to the affection that Flayn was showing her, especially with the nickname that was put upon her. She didn't think that the girl would get so attached. Rhajat didn't think she did anything too special. She felt anyone would have done the same, she didn't think she needed or deserved anything for it. However, Flayn thought otherwise. She insisted on called Rhajat that, and Rhajat didn't mind it, even if it was hard to admit.
"I just need to apply an invisibility hex." Rhajat explained.
"Incredible! You're so cool!" Flayn complimented.
"Say, if you're Flayn's sister..." Byleth began. "Does that make Seteth Rhajat's brother?"
"...Yes." Flayn responded after a small amount of hesitation.
Before anyone could really think to question it, they were distracted by the sounds of footsteps. Rhajat quickly mumbled the incantation, and everyone disappeared. The light footsteps slowly grew louder as someone entered the room.
"SURPRI-"
The culprit, Dimitri, yelped in surprise as he held his hand to his chest. His heart was threatening to pop out of his body. He quickly regained his composure with a bit of a blush on his face. "Did I forget something happening today?"
Shiro folded his arms in a bit of frustration. "You're not the birthday girls..."
"Apologies..." Dimitri said.
"Huh? What's going on in here?" Velouria asked as she came in with Selkie next to her.
"Oh, a party! Wait... a surprise party!" Selkie exclaimed as she jumped in the air.
"Aw man..." Asugi complained with a snap of his fingers. "We barely screwed it up..."
"Ah... that was my bad." Dimitri apologized.
"Stop apologizing, it's fine." Rhajat told him. She then smirked deviously. "I can just hex them, make them forget this ever happened..."
"I'm good." Velouria told her.
"It's fine..." Selkie agreed.
"You're no fun..." Rhajat said with a pout. She was always a bit disappointed when she didn't get to bust out her magic.
"Regardless..." Dimitri started breaking the bit of awkward silence. "You all celebrate birthdays?" He asked.
"Do you not?" Byleth asked.
Dimitri smiled sadly. "Not at all. I'm not sure if we're close enough for everyone to join in like that." He admitted.
"Well... Why don't you stick around with us?" Velouria suggested with a shrug.
Dimitri rubbed the back of his head. "Oh... I don't wish to impose."
"You're not!" Selkie insisted. "Let's have some fun Dimitri! If you learn how to party with us, you can spread that to your class!"
Dimitri couldn't help but chuckle a bit at that. "Well... I suppose there's no harm."
Despite Dimitri's initial hesitation and the rough start, things continued rather well. Everyone was enjoying talking and eating. Despite Flayn being so new to the group, she found herself fitting right in, which she was quite happy about.
Selkie and Velouria didn't share a birthday, but the house decided to combine them since they were so close together. Neither girl minded as long as they got to have fun and enjoy themselves. Selkie found herself dancing in the middle of the classroom despite there not being any music while some of the other students watched in amusement.
"You go girl!" Shiro exclaimed.
"You're doing so good!" Corrin said between giggles.
Dimitri cracked a smile at the display. He could feel the camaraderie in the air. He highly doubted they always got along, but it was still nice to see. Dimitri had good friends and knew what having a good friend was like, he just wished that he could have a relationship like the dragons with his house, especially Dedue. He shook his head while still smiling. Dedue meant the world to him, and he knew the feeling was mutual. He hoped that one day he could see him as less of a master and as more as an equal.
"You're blushing."
Dimitri turned his head towards the voice, which belonged to Velouria. She seemed to have been staring at him.
"Oh, I suppose I am..."
"Thinking of a cute girl princy?" Velouria asked.
Dimitri blushed even more deeply, but he wasn't sure if it was over the nickname or the accusation. "No..."
"Cute boy...?" She asked.
Dimitri looked away, and Velouria started sniffing the air. "Hm... seems like I'm right. Your heart rate increased and you're sweating." She then shrugged. "I'm not judging. I'm pretty sure Rhajat and Corrin have something going on."
The crown prince rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. He knew Dedue was important to him, but something about admitting that he thought he was cute was flustering him greatly. Not to mention he had no idea how Dedue felt in that regard, and he didn't want to ruin what they already had. He would've been fine just being called Dimitri instead of his highness, and wasn't expecting it to go any further than that.
"Wait... Are Rhajat and Corrin dating?"
Velouria shrugged again. "Dunno. Hopefully things will end up well for those two though, whether it ends with them dating or staying friends. It'd just suck for our house if they had a bad break up." She admitted. "I doubt that'd happen. The way those two look and act around each other? I feel if they're not dating, it's only a matter of time."
"I see..." Dimitri said. He wondered briefly if the way she's talking about them is how people talk about him and Dedue. At the same time, he wasn't sure who in their house would even care enough to talk about that, besides perhaps Mercedes, Annette, and Sylvain. "Um... anyway, are you enjoying the party?" He asked changing the subject.
Velouria slightly smiled. "It's... nice. I'm not a huge fan of parties but... these guys make it fun."
Dimitri looked towards the group and smiled too. While he wasn't a dragon, and did genuinely care about his lions, it made him happy to be included.
The party continued for a few hours before Selkie fell asleep on the floor. She clearly didn't want the fun to end, but it had to eventually.
Shiro walked over to Selkie and lifted her. "I'll make sure this one gets some sleep in an actual bed."
"Thanks Shiro." Corrin replied. "Did you have a good time Velouria?"
Velouria nodded. "I can't wait for the next one." Velouria ended up getting a few treasures, which filled her with delight. It made it rather easy to gift shop for her when they could just break things to fill her with joy. "Thanks again for the spear Dimitri. I appreciate it."
"Oh it's no problem." He said with a smile. "It would've just been thrown away otherwise."
Velouria shook her head. "You humans have no taste."
That got a chuckle out of Dimitri. "Maybe so Velouria."
…
Rhajat yawned as she made her way back to her room. The parties always took a lot out of her. She was glad that her birthday had already passed at the beginning of the school year. She wasn't sure if she could've handled so much attention on her at once, as well intentioned as it'd be.
"Excuse me."
Rhajat grimaced and turned around, to see Dimitri. She held no ill will towards the prince, if anything she may have liked him the most out of her fellow house leaders, but that didn't mean she wanted to be interrupted right before she was about to head to bed. "Yes...?"
"I don't mean to bother you..." Dimitri began. "I just... wanted to ask you something."
"Can it wait?" She asked with another yawn.
"Yes but, I fear it will keep me up all night if I don't bring it to your attention... allow me to be selfish." Dimitri said.
Rhajat sighed and rolled her eyes. "Fine... what is it?"
"At what point do you know..." Dimitri paused and began to blush. Admitting it was rather difficult for him.
"Know... what?" Rhajat asked, her patience wearing a bit thin.
"That you love someone..."
Rhajat looked at him with widened eyes, then started giggling mischievously. "What an interesting question..." Suddenly she was more alert and interested in the conversation. "You see... love is when you want to spend every waking moment with someone. When just seeing them puts you in a better mood. When everyone else feels like normal people compared to a goddess... that's what I think anyway."
Dimitri nodded. He wasn't sure if he shared her passion, but he at least was understanding. "I... see... is that how you feel about Corrin?"
Rhajat giggled again while blushing. "But of course..." She then stopped and looked at Dimitri. "What, you got a crush?"
"I... maybe I do... the way you talk about Corrin... is so similar to how I feel about... Dedue."
Rhajat's eyes widened again, before she nodded herself. "I wouldn't be shocked if you had a crush on that guy. He clearly means a lot to you."
"Maybe so..." Dimitri's blush grew deeper.
"...You're not half bad Dimitri. No offense but... that Dedue is from Duscur, he has no crest, but you still allow him to be your retainer, and you've even fallen for him." She looked into his eyes. "Best of luck to us both."
"Yes... thank you Rhajat." Dimitri replied with a smile. "The origins of people... their status... they mean nothing to me. I only care for the person."
"That's a good mindset. I bet you'll be a great king." Rhajat admitted. "Perhaps you can change Fodlan for the better."
"I..." Dimitri looked away. "I'll admit, Fodlan has its fair share of issues, as does Faerghus... I would love nothing more than to use my power, as a king and as one with a crest, to make things better for the common folk."
Rhajat smiled. "So you want to use your crest for good..." Rhajat had to admit, she was both surprised and not surprised at all to find out Dimitri, despite owning a powerful crest, had pure intentions for Fodlan once he took the throne.
"I can't blame you for your reaction..." Dimitri then looked a bit solemn. "Many do use their goddess given privileges for their own benefits. People marrying off their children for the sake of gaining crests in their bloodlines... Nobles using their power to oppress the common folk... This cycle... it can't continue..."
"Cycle?" Rhajat asked.
"Of the strong trampling the weak." Dimitri explained. "We have these amazing talents, yet many use them to keep others in submission. It's... just not right. That's why I wish to create a world where everyone appreciates each other's strengths. Where everyone gets a say. Crests aren't inherently evil in my opinion, it's just how they're used that's problematic."
Rhajat nodded in understanding. From what Edelgard told her, she hadn't thought there were any benefits to crests. She found it interesting that there were people who would defend them for shockingly wholesome reasons. "I never thought of it that way..."
"I have no idea how popular or unpopular my viewpoint is..." Dimitri began. "But it's what I believe in."
Rhajat yawned again. "I almost forgot that I was about to sleep..."
"Oh, my apologies." Dimitri said with a chuckle. "I didn't mean to keep you here."
"Don't worry about it." Rhajat dismissed with a wave of her hand. "It was a good conversation, I feel like I learned a lot."
Dimitri smiled. "I don't feel I did much, but thank you for humoring me."
Rhajat walked away, finally ready to head to bed. She hoped that she wouldn't have trouble getting to sleep now that her mind was racing. The idea that crests could be used for good didn't really cross her mind after her conversation with Edelgard. She couldn't blame the princess for feeling the way she did. She didn't know what her issue with them was, but she doubted it was something minor. Even if it wasn't her business, she did hope the girl would be okay.
"Edelgard and Dimitri..." Azura interjected. "Those two are rather similar, yet different at the same time. They both seem to have big dreams, dreams that aren't that different too. I wonder if they've ever discussed it, I feel they'd be a terrifying team if they were to work together."
"Mm, you're not wrong." Rhajat agreed. "Those two will be pretty powerful leaders of Fodlan. Perhaps they have a good chance of fixing this place." Rhajat knew there was no country without flaw, but the more she learned about Fodlan the more she realized that there was quite a bit of work to do with it. She supposed it wasn't her problem though, so she jumped into her bed. If it was so important, she could always think about it tomorrow. She shut her eyes, and not too long after sleep claimed her.
…
"I'll see you later Rhajat!" Corrin exclaimed. She walked off before stopping, making Rhajat look at her curiously. Corrin turned back around with a blush on her face and walked back up to her. She then gave Rhajat a big hug, causing Rhajat to blush too. She quickly hugged her back and squeezed her. The two let go eventually, and Corrin left properly, leaving Rhajat standing around embarrassed, but also euphoric.
"Ah... young love." Dorothea said in between giggles.
Rhajat turned around to see the songstress looking at her with a smile. She folded her arms. "Of course I love her. She's practically a goddess who walks among us!"
Dorothea giggled again. "Fair enough. You know, she likes you too."
Rhajat's eyes widened as she blushed furiously. She then looked away with a bit of a sad expression. "Don't joke about that."
Dorothea's smile widened. She couldn't believe how dense she was. "I'm not! She clearly likes you."
"..." Rhajat sighed. "I love her, I love her so much that it hurts. The idea of her going with anyone else just... burns me up. And yet... I can't see a world where she reciprocates my feelings..."
Dorothea frowned. "Why is that?"
Rhajat scoffed as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "...We're both girls for one thing. Not to mention... someone as amazing as her liking me I just... I can't tell her. She'd hate me, she'd think I was disgusting."
Dorothea looked at her sympathetically. "I... get where you're coming from. At least on the 'self hate' part. Liking yourself is hard..."
"As if you'd understand..." Rhajat mumbled. Rhajat felt Dorothea was popular and pretty, while Rhajat looked at herself and just saw a weird girl who no one liked.
"I... I do actually." Dorothea started rubbing her arm. "I don't wanna get into it, but believe me... I get it. Anyway though... there's nothing wrong with two girls liking each other. I'd be okay with a husband or a wife." She casually said with a shrug. "I've never been secretive about that. And honestly you're not either."
"...Sorry, I shouldn't take my issues out on you." Rhajat admitted. "I know I'm not particularly secretive about my love of her. It's just... I want to be myself. I don't know if she thinks I like her platonically or what but she seems ignorant to my affections. Honestly I think I should keep it that way."
Dorothea shifted her weight onto her left leg before putting her hand on her hip. She could see where she was coming from, but she still felt bad for the girl. "I can't force you to do anything but... I honestly think you should tell her. Again, she clearly likes you too."
Rhajat shook her head. "She's probably just being nice. She's like that with everyone... it's... it's part of why she's my soulmate. I love that kindness."
"Then you should love yourself too, you're kind." Dorothea argued.
"No I'm not..." Rhajat argued back with a blush.
"Please..." She said with a roll of her eyes. "The birthday parties? That talisman for Ashe? Flayn? I'm sure you've done other things I don't know about. You're a sweet girl, you just choose to hide it. And the fact that you're embarrassed shows me that you know it."
Rhajat looked away. "Don't analyze me...!"
Dorothea sighed. She walked up to Rhajat and took her hands. "Look... I can't make you do anything. But I think you should do it. Corrin's kind, just like you said. The worst she'd do is let you down gently. But you're gorgeous, you're kind, you're cool... you're the complete package. Honestly... I'm a bit jealous." She said while averting her eyes.
"...Don't sell yourself short Dorothea." Rhajat said, breaking the silence. "What you just said about me... I could say the same of you. So don't be so hard on yourself either."
"Rhajat..." Dorothea mumbled. "...Thank you."
"No, thank you Dorothea. I think I needed that. Sorry for... all the whining." Rhajat apologized. She really hated looking vulnerable.
Dorothea let go. "Don't worry about it." She then winked. "I can't wait until you finally confess your feelings though. You'd be the cutest couple at the academy!"
"She's not wrong..." Azura added.
"Who's side are you on Azura!?" She internally yelled. Rhajat blushed even more deeply. "Whatever..." She smiled softly despite her embarrassment. She couldn't help but wonder if Dorothea had a point. The idea of her and Corrin being girlfriends... part of her thought it was wrong, but that voice was starting to get a bit quieter, drowned out by her giggles.
"I'm glad you're laughing again at least." Dorothea said with a soft smile of her own. She shook her head affectionately. Dorothea thought Rhajat was a strange one, but she also supposed she wasn't the most normal girl either.
"...Thanks Dorothea." Rhajat said.
"Don't worry about it." The eagle replied. "You owe me though." She teased.
Rhajat nodded. "Alright. Want someone cursed?"
Dorothea shook her head. "Nothing like that, though I'll keep that in mind... In all seriousness I more so meant since I helped you with your love life, you've gotta help me with mine~" She started giggling. "I was just joking anyway, you don't owe me anything."
Rhajat shrugged. "I mean, if you want a love potion I'm sure I can whip one up."
"I mean, I don't think I'd want to do that. I'd prefer my future spouse to like me for me, not because they're forced to. I flirt around a lot but whoever I settle down with must love me." Dorothea explained. She then sighed longingly. "I can't help but wonder if my spouse is here at the academy..."
"You never know. They could be right around the corner." Rhajat suggested.
"Yeah... I'd prefer they have money too. So... you see the problem... Finding a rich person who also likes me and will continue to like me after I'm gray is... hard." She smiled sadly. "Enough about me though! Hope things go well with you and Corrin."
"Same to you Dorothea... I hope you find what you're looking for."
The two girls smiled at each other before going their separate ways. Rhajat really did hope that things started going Dorothea's way. She had to admit she was a bit curious about Dorothea's history, but she wasn't about to pry. She was still a bit shocked that even someone like Dorothea had her demons and insecurities. The two of them were more similar than Rhajat initially thought.
…
Cyril scrubbed the floors of the library with a large amount of focus in his expression and power in his movements. So much so that he didn't notice the dragon's leader come in. She was so focused on her mission that she didn't notice him either. She was studying a bit more about Fodlan's history. There were still a bunch of things she didn't understand about the nation. The students from the other houses like Dimitri and Edelgard has been helping, but she didn't want to ask them every little thing she didn't understand. She soon found a book about the Seiros religion. She grabbed it and looked for a place to sit down. Before she could find it, she stumbled over the young boy. She tripped and fell on the floor. With a growl, she looked back and saw Cyril staring at her with confusion.
Rhajat closed her eyes and sighed. "My bad, I wasn't paying attention."
"I should've been payin' attention too. It's hard when I'm so focused on work."
Rhajat nodded in understanding. She could relate, it was hard to focus on other things while she was thinking about her passions. "Don't you ever get tired?" She asked him.
Cyril shrugged. "Doesn't matter. I've got work to do, so I'll do it. Now if you'll excuse me." Cyril crouched back down onto the floor and got back to scrubbing.
Rhajat stared for a few seconds before returning to what she was doing. She figured there was no point in pushing further. With a book in hand, she sat down and started reading it. It was one of the books of Seiros. Rhajat looked through it, and found the five commandments.
"...'Dare not abuse the power gifted to you by the goddess?'" She read out loud. That one stuck out to her. She already knew that crests were gifted to the people of Fodlan by the goddess herself. At the very least, that was what they believed. And yet, people abusing crests was commonplace. That made no sense to her considering how many people seemed to be devout followers of the religion. "Damn... this continent is filled with hypocritical sinners."
"Huh?" Cyril asked, apparently overhearing her.
Rhajat turned around and looked at him. "Mm, didn't realize you were listening. I was just wondering how the Fodlan religion could make it so clear that you shouldn't abuse crests, and yet... they do just that." The greed of humanity never ceased to amaze her.
Cyril stood back up and looked at the book. "Huh, I didn't know that it said that."
"You didn't?" Rhajat asked in confusion.
"Nah." Cyril shook his head. "I don't know or really care about the religion."
Rhajat looked rather surprised. "You don't? You work for the church though, don't you?" She was getting more confused by the minute.
"I wouldn't say that exactly, but either way Lady Rhea doesn't care about my beliefs. She says I can follow the religion if I want, but she won't force me." He explained. Rhajat stared at him for a few seconds, as if he had grown a second head. "What?" He asked.
"I... just didn't expect that." Rhajat answered. "There's nothing wrong with that, I just didn't expect her to let someone who doesn't believe in the goddess that strongly do... whatever it is that you do here..."
"Well like I said, I don't exactly have a job here. It's more that I live here. I work hard to repay all Lady Rhea has done for me." He continued. He had a fond look on his face as he thought of the archbishop. "That's why I can't rest too much. I don't wanna be ungrateful."
"Hm..." Rhajat could see where he was coming from. After all, she owed Rhea too. "I could probably devise a hex to make you even more efficient."
"Uh..." Cyril looked a bit off put. "I'm good, I appreciate the thought, but I gotta do this on my own."
"Suit yourself." Rhajat replied. She turned back to the book and kept reading it.
"Say... does the religion really say not to mess with all that crest stuff?" Cyril asked.
"Yeah." Rhajat confirmed. "Isn't stopping the people though." She said with a sigh. A part of her wished that she could ignore the inequalities she was seeing, but once someone opened their eyes it was impossible to close them back.
"Huh. That must make Lady Rhea real sad..." Cyril pointed out. He looked downward, his heart hurting for her. While he knew there wasn't anything he could do, he wished he could. "Times like this makes me feel like I'm not doing enough."
Rhajat looked towards him. "I mean it's rare I see you not working. I'm sure Lady Rhea is plenty happy with you."
Cyril perked up. "You think so?"
Rhajat smirked a bit. She had to admit, it was kinda adorable how he was acting. She could relate to wanting nothing more than to make a certain person happy. Even if she assumed the love she felt was significantly different from the love he felt for the archbishop. She ruffled his hair a bit. "Yeah, it'd be weird if she didn't."
Cyril blushed and pouted. "Don't do that... I'm not a baby. But... thanks Rhajat."
Rhajat smiled at him. "Don't worry about it, it's not a big deal." She told him.
"I should get back to cleaning, sorry for bothering you Rhajat." Cyril turned around and grabbed his tools. He walked away and got back to work at another part of the library.
"No problem." She called. Rhajat decided it was time for her to get back to her task as well. She wasn't sure how she felt about religion as a whole, it wasn't something she cared too much about one way or the other. She did have to admit though, it had some strong passionate followers. She figured there was a reason why Rhea was archbishop, and why so many people seem to love her. In a way, she reminded her a bit of her soulmate with her kindness, charm, and beauty. Of course, no one could reach Corrin's level as far as Rhajat was concerned.
