'Shirou Reiko, what a particular child,' the teacher thought to herself as she saw Shirou at the archery club range and after seeing him shoot at the target for the past year she had come to one single conclusion, he was a prodigy, the greatest one Japan had seen since the legends of old he had never once missed a shot. Contrary to what he might say that he had missed one shot it was in his own words to know what if felt to miss and when he did he didn't make any reaction, whether it might be anger, depression, dissapointement, joy. Nothing he felt nothing it was almost as if he himself was the bow and arrow, when she had asked him to explain on how he never missed all he had said was that the arrow was already there all he had to was release it.
And so today again he was in the club, however he was earlier than usual as if he was trying to avoid something or someone, little did she know was that underneath his calm almost indifferent expression was chaos.
He didn't know what to say what to do, should he save their reunion for when they were private so that nobody could watch, what should he do!
He never had to think of this when he was searching for Avalon, searching for that ever distant reunion which was always almost out of his reach until the end of his life. But now he knows that she's here, that the love of his life, his soulmate was truly here and tangible that he could hold her close and whisper sweet nothings in her ear.
Plus his family, not his current one, his past one, in this world line was still alive! How should he even act around them he didn't know and it was driving him insane!
Little did the former hero of justice know but a certain lovestruck king of knights was also having a similar problem but she had it a an arguably larger scale than even him.
The king of knights was having nightmares during her sleep that Shirou didn't even recognize her, that he wouldn't even love her that he had moved on from her. Were they even in the same school, would they even be in the same class? What if even if they were in a different class, what if he wasn't chosen to show her around. Would Kiritsugu even accept her having a boyfriend at such a young age, from what she had managed to observe this version of Kiritsugu was protective, very, very protective of his family and thus now that she was inadvertently their sixth member because of her adoption that protectiveness would ably to her too no? How would Irisviel even react? How would Ilya, would she be angry? Because she thinks that somebody was trying to steal her onee-san from her. All these thoughts and more circled through Arturia mind as she got ready for her first day of school. Once she got down she had a hearty breakfast courtesy of sella. And walked through the door and started on the way to her new school and just like yesterday that feeling in her chest only grew.
Meanwhile, while Shirou was getting changed he felt it again that feeling in his chest, however unlike before where it was a sens of unease it was a sens of completion. He grimaced doubts still clouding his mind, however he banished those doubts no matter what happened, either she remembers him or she doesn't. And so with his resolve hardened he walks out of the archery range and when to his classroom. There was a cacophony of sound children talking with each other gossiping about a new transfer student.
"Hey, did you hear that we're getting a new student?" A child questioned another.
"No? We're getting another student?" The questioned student responded.
"Oh really! Well allow me to enlighten you on their features, cute face, slim figure, emerald eyes and golden hair. And the best part..." the child started.
"And..." the student pressed.
"The transfer is a girl that's transferring directly into our class!" The child a girl exclaimed in happiness.
"They're transferring into our class?" The student also a girl sounded surprised before responding with enthusiasm,"That's amazing!"
"I know right!"
Meanwhile Shirou was actually surprised that Artoria was transferring into his class of all places it seems Lady Luck was finally looking out for him. Or maybe it was just fate for them to be in the same class. Nevertheless he smiled.
Artoria was stressed that feeling in her stomach had grown to the same point as yesterday when she had just saw Shirou again and she didn't have any clue on what to do and how to act if he was there.
Alas Artoria's self reflection ended once the teacher called her into the classroom. And so she introduced herself.
"H-hello my name is Artoria P-Emiya, I'm new to this school and culture so please take care of me!" She said earnestly and so she looked out upon the class and she saw him again, her sheath, Shirou. It seems luck and or fate had decided to smile upon them and have them be in the same class.
But not even five seconds after she had finished her speech the class erupted into conversation, they were saying things on how she looked so cute, where did she live, and if she had a boyfriend. The last two were met by an incredulous look courtesy of the teacher telling them to stop talking as she proceeded to give her a seat.
"Hm, Emiya-san there seems to be an open spot next to Reiko-san please sit next to him, say..." the teacher paused after giving Artoria her seat, "Reiko-san can you give a toor to Emiya-san around the school?"
"Yes I would be delighted to teacher," Shirou responded.
Artoria looked to where her seat was and it was right next to Shirou, life truly was looking up for her. And so with nary a word Artoria proceeded to sit down next to Shirou giving him a smile as he did the same to her.
When the bell rung signaling the first break Artoria made to get up alongside Shirou so that he could show her around, but was promptly stopped when a groupe of kids arrived at her table and started asking her questions.
Are you British? If you are how is your Japanese so good? Are you adopted? Do you have a makeup routine? Multiple questions were thrown out in the span of less than one second, because of this Artoria was rather obviously overwhelmed she had never truly dealt with anything like this before in her long storied life. But luckily for the king of knights reborn she was saved.
"Do you all have no shame?" The wrought iron magus questioned the groupe of students who had encircled his reborn beloved. "Can you not tell that she is rather obviously embarrassed? That is without mentioning that your actions are extremely impolite," Shirou continued and in the span of less than a minute all of three students flinched apologized then left to go back to their seats so that they could eat their lunch.
"Thank you," Artoria said to the boy.
"It was nothing," was what he responded with, "Either way I think it is necessary for them to learn their lesson eventually," he said before shaking his head, "I think it is time I show you around the school."
Artoria nodded, "Indeed I do think it is time we do that."
And so they walked out of the classroom and Shirou showed her the building in its entirety ending with them on the rooftop they both decided to go there since they knew that it would be empty. They needed to be somewhere private to do this, and so with great hesitance they both stepped outside.
And with a shaking voice Shirou spoke out, "S-Saber is that you?" He could barely even get the words out of his throat the emotions inside of them so chock full of desperation and longing that it made them almost impossible to get out.
And with a smile on her face eyes holding barely restrained tears the king of knights, no a girl one who had finally reunited with her other half spoke out, "Yes," Her smile was positively radiant, "Welcome back, Shirou."
And so after an eternity of both searching and waiting sword and sheath were reunited and they kissed, it was a chaste one not overpowering, not overwhelming, not long lasting but it was filled with all the emotions that they held in their bodies and when they finished they looked up at each other, smiled and then they hugged one another not breaking their embrace until the bell rung thus signaling the end of the lunch break.
When they both came back to class they seemed different almost as if they were happier than before their smiles no longer forced but pure and natural in all honesty it made the majority of the class think that they were a couple. And while the girls were excited because they would get more drama and kinda disappointed because Shirou was in their opinions a fairly nice catch, the boys were downright depressed because they knew that they stood no chance of getting the beautiful transfer student.
And then the day continued before all classes were over and after school activities were in full throttle Artoria was convinced into becoming a member of the kendo club however she had managed to postpone her first attendance because she had to bring her little sister back home, and so she went to pick her up. However once she did she didn't expect Ilya to ask what she did, "Say... onee-san did you end up in the same class as that red haired boy? You did seem infatuated with him and he with you?"
Artoria sputtered out a response, "I-I-Ilya!"
In response Ilya simply looked at her adopted sibling, "What it was just a simple yes or no question, me, mama, and papa noticed why do you think he went out of his way to tell you the school was co-ed?"
"I.." she didn't know what to respond.
"And mama always does say how she wants grandchildren I can assure you she would be ecstatic if you ended up being in a relationship with him," Ilya continued her words straight to the point.
Artoria sighed before answering, "Yes we are in the same class he was actually the person tasked to show me around."
"Hmhmhm, so is there any relationship that developed between you two they way you both looked at each other before was as if it was love at first sight," the 5 year old asked.
"Haaah," Artoria moaned out in embarrassment before responding, "Yes, we are in a relationship."
"Hm, I see," Ilya said, "so that means that technically he can be considered my onii-san?"
"I..." the older girl paused,"I suppose."
While they were having said conversation they eventually made it back home entering the house they saw Irisviel and Liz watching tv with Kiritsugu sitting on a separate couch reading a book. While Sella was cooking dinner, the first one to notice their arrival was Irisviel who much like Ilya bombarded Artoria with questions on Shirou even asking for his full name including his family name so that she can do god knows what. Once she was done bombarding her adoptive daughter she went to asking Ilya about her day after all of the questioning Artoria finally found a good moment to tell her new family that she was joining the kendo club and wanted to see if they could arrange for another way for Ilya to get from school back home. Her adoptive mother's solution was for Liz to go and pick her up from school. And so the day was over for Artoria.
The next day she went to school earlier to be in the morning practice for the kendo club, she was taught the basics of it by a teacher who then made her do a duel with another student it started off with them bowing before getting into their respective stances. Her opponent made the first move going for a overhead swing it was slow to her eyes, compared to what she had faced before her current opponent's movements were extremely slow and so she stepped to the side. 'Thunk' the boken hit the ground "huh" the initiator said before they felt wood on their neck turning their head they saw their opponent with her own boken held up to his neck.
"Will you yield," Artoria said looking straight at her opponent.
"I yield," her opponent said looking at her eyes her eyes once so vibrant seemed cold as if she had been in the zone.
The teacher who saw all of this looked shocked before realizing something, they had a prodigy on their hands and then she smiled it seems they would be making it to the championship.
A couple of months passed after Arturia had transferred into their class and they would be going on a field trip to a kuwana museum to learn about one Senji Muramasa, it was a quaint little thing a field trip Artoria never had the chance to do one in life being born and living in fifth century and all. And she was ecstatic, hell the only other time an emotion had been on the same level in this new life was when she met Shirou's parents when he was introducing his girlfriend to them.
The trip was set to happen in five days and she didn't stop talking about it. Shirou meanwhile was contemplating this trip he had already heard of Senji Muramasa, the legendary smith, hell he had some weapons of the man in his reality marble and for some reason he looked awfully similar to Shirou himself from what he could gather. It was odd... For all he knew Muramasa in his past life could be his ancestors or something but, now that he thought about it more and more he may very well be his descendant at least in this world. After all his mother had the exact same features as he himself but as a woman it was frightening really.
But even then Shirou couldn't help but feel a bit excited, not only because he was going to get more armaments in his reality marble but because Artoria was finally going to experience something like this.
Author's note
Hello sorry for taking so long to update got stuck during a portion of this then got distracted so it took longer for me to make this chapter but because of this I did try to make this a bit better of a chapter while adding in more miscellaneous things and then finally doing the reunion.
Btw I'm sorry for not including Artoria meeting Shirou's parents and because of that I'll try to include Shirou meeting Artoria's adoptive family which in all honesty is just a reunion of the Emiya family.
And next chapter which is basically them going to a museum is going to basically have Shirou learning more of his ancestry and Artoria being amazed by absolutely everything in a different city, of course the exploration is going to be limited Shirou and Artoria are basically 10 years old after all.
Either way time to answer some reviews.
starting off with
keybladeknight: Don't worry about the Claudas situation let's just say it may or may not be a big situation/scandal, for the other parts of your review Chloe may or may not appear later on as a child, and for the other parts that's is getting into spoilers for this story but don't worry favors will be called.
OrphanSlayer:Thanks for the advice!
guest:If you had read my first an you would know that some moments might be too OOC and I mostly included it as a part of some comedy.
ronsowlemana: understood here.
guest: I know.
johnvincentdelarama10: Thanks for the idea it was actually pretty ingenious on your part really I did want to make Shirou have a link with his ancestry and your review gave me that idea.
