"I was beginning to wonder if you were skipping out on me," Dan said to Lisa as she returned to the dinner table and gracefully tried to take her seat again. She scowled and rolled her eyes as she looked over at Dan. Work had been going okay, but after two days with Dan already, she was quickly reminded of some of the reasons they'd gotten divorced.

"I'm sorry Dan. I'm actively choosing to hide in the bathroom instead of finishing my hot meal," she waved her hand. "Seriously, Dan, you've seen over the past few days just how often I have to excuse myself. This baby is dancing on my bladder."

Dan sipped at his glass of wine, Lisa eyeing him, of course, not necessarily bothered by the fact he had been drinking wine constantly almost as if he was taunting her, but right now, she just wanted to smack that glass of wine out of his hand. She'd had enough. There wasn't one particular thing he had done, but it was just everything-every little thing with their business the last few days. While she had needed to excuse herself just now because yes, the baby was dancing on her bladder, she'd also wanted to end Dan's prodding her to "join forces" for another horse venture.

"Yes, you've looked uncomfortable tonight, if I'm being honest," he said with a sad shrug. "Maybe to get your mind off that, and with this being a business trip, have you given any thought to my proposal?"

Lisa, who was no longer hungry, sat back with her glass of water in hand and sighed, "Dan, I don't want to invest in another racehorse with you. It's just not the right time for me, and we've been trying to separate our assets with our racehorses, not acquire more of them. I'm going to be preoccupied when this baby arrives, having two babies under a year old. I just can't and won't," she raised an eyebrow at him "do that."

"That's why this is a perfect time to invest, Lisa. It's me. We've done business together for years now. You know me, trust me, my practices-"

"Yes," she sighed. Truthfully, that was one reason she didn't want to invest. She did know Dan and over the years, he'd gotten more money hungry, and their ideas about what they wanted in their stables had drifted to now being very far apart. "Dan," she pursed her lips and locked eyes with him, debating but deciding against sitting forward because she was uncomfortable, "it's not something I want to do. That needs to be the end of it."

"Okay," Dan raised his hand in defense but frowned. "You think about it-"

"Already have," she said but before she could say more, her phone rang. Lisa had sent a sort of SOS text to Marion to have either she or Jack call her when possible to get her out of this dinner. Lisa knew she was somewhat on edge because she hadn't been sleeping well. The trip had honestly gone well, Dan being Dan and Lisa being well, really pregnant, so she wasn't extremely irritated, just done dealing with Dan and his antics. She picked up the phone and pointed to it while she looked over at Dan.

"Sorry, but if you will excuse me, Jack is calling, and with our early day today at the track, I haven't spoken to him. I'm going to just head up to my room." This was the first night it was just the two of them for dinner, and while Lisa was used to eating alone with Dan, had each morning for breakfast, and didn't hate the idea, it was just Dan getting on her last nerve tonight. While they had eaten with investors the last two nights, tonight they were alone, and Lisa had asked if they could just eat at the hotel restaurant because she was exhausted.

"Sure, I'll take care of the bill-"

"No, that's not a problem. I spoke to our waiter as I walked back to the table. I told him we needed separate bills and to bill to my room, so we are both set. I gave him your room number as well. Now," she held up her phone that was still ringing, "I'll see you in the morning."

"Breakfast at 7AM?"

"I'll be down here," she nodded, both knowing they had a flight out almost at noon. She threw him a wave, not even wanting to see if he returned it before she left the table.

"My knight in shining armor," Lisa grinned into the phone as she walked out of the restaurant and toward the hotel elevator.

"Hello, my love. Marion said you were in desperate need of rescuing. How was dinner with Dan?"

Lisa smile widened, which wasn't hard after having diner with Dan as she waddled-because that's what it felt like-to the elevator.

"Ahh, my meal was decent, had a filet which did sit well with me. The company wasn't the best, nothing wrong per say, just Dan being Dan, only interested in money and wanting to pitch me a new business venture."

"Well, I'm definitely glad I could rescue you once again from Dan," Jack said into the phone. "Now, I'm sitting here with maybe your favorite person."

Lisa let a laugh escape as she nodded, stepping onto the elevator, "Hmm, well, if the two of you are together, that's the best combination, my two favorite people, and I'm with the other one," she said, patting her side not that Jack could see her.

"Oh, Lise, you didn't tell me that Dan was right there with you-"

"Haha funny guy," she chuckled. "You were my excuse to leave dinner and head to my room. I'm exhausted and need to get off my feet. I can't wait to get home tomorrow."

"Well, we are all missing you. Marion has been working hard with her horses. Even with Amy helping her, the two have their hands full. She has been staying in the house the early morning hours with Nora while I take care of things out with the herd. I get back usually by 9AM or so, and Amy is usually up and has been watching Nora until lunch or so which has allowed me to work on the tractor. Finally got a part in I needed. I've been fixing everyone lunch and then have been in the house in the afternoon with Nora. I've got my stew on for dinner now."

"Hmm, your stew," Lisa grinned as she opened the door to her room. "I know that's your favorite thing to make."

"Yeah, well, right now it's easy too. We've been eating outside with the nice weather. Had grilled chicken last night, burgers the night before. I'm a regular chef around here again, but I will say that I am not the only one who misses your cooking. We have all commented that your good cooking has spoiled us all, and we can't wait for you to get home."

"I see," she nodded as she gingerly sat down on her bed and started to stretch out, kicking off her shoes. "You are just ready for your chef to return home."

"Oh, you are so much more than that," Jack said sweetly. "One cannot be defined by the tasks they take on." Lisa laughed at at that.

"Now you are just making things up. Tell me-how is my sweet girl?"

"She's doing great, crawling around up here in her room. I'm sitting in the rocking chair while she explores and plays with that toy she likes to put in her mouth, almost like a chew toy."

"I mean, it is, for her teething," Lisa explained. "She sleeping okay?"

"Sleeping great," he told her. "She took about a two and a half hour nap this afternoon, so up not too long ago and ready to go until bath time."

"I miss her bath times," Lisa smiled but added, "although, I'm not sure if I am down on my knees right now taking care of her in there, that I can get up. I feel like I've doubled in size this trip."

"I'm sure that's your frustration with Dan and exhaustion talking. Have you been sleeping okay?"

"Honestly, no," she sighed. "I can't get comfortable. I'm hot all the time. The baby is kicking me like crazy. I have heartburn, and I'm just not sleeping."

"I see," he told her. "You also neglected to mention one thing."

"Which is?"

"Obviously me," he said with a flirtatious tone to his voice. Lisa laughed, nodding as she hummed there, stretched out on the bed.

"Obviously, yes, I miss you being right next to me."

"And, I'm clarifying Dan has his own room-"

Lisa burst out laughing this time, grinning, "Yes, he does. Don't you worry, Cowboy. That ship has sailed. I did ask Marion to have you rescue me at dinner because I wasn't sure you would see a text from me on your phone. Now, goodness, staying in the same room with Dan, well, I'm not sure we would both survive that."

It was Jack's turn to laugh now, and once they had both settled, Jack started talking, "Amy has been doing a really good job with Nora. I think she's really excited about that baby, pestering me all the time wanting to know if it's a boy or girl, as if we're hiding it from her."

"I wish," Lisa sighed. "The doctor is going to check again in three weeks. I guess after that, we just might have to be surprised. It's funny, isn't it, almost like he or she is showing a personality of challenging us."

"Maybe so, but I reassured Amy there was no one who wanted to know the gender more than you. I told her you have a cart full of things to order, boy or girl, but you just need to know so you can add all the right things. She was impressed you have been so prepared this time."

"As opposed to last time when I was delusional and in complete denial?" Lisa sighed. "I still can't believe what a mess I was. Oh, is that Nora I hear now?"

"Nah, that's the other baby Iiving here at the house," Jack said nonchalantly. Lisa laughed at that and then yawned. "She's here by me, still crawling around. She seems pretty happy."

"Sorry, my lack of sleep is catching up with me, plus, that good steak is making me sleepy. So, Nora doesn't even miss me, eeh?"

"Don't you worry-I know she misses you. She does keep stopping as she crawls and looking around, almost like she's looking for you. She won't be the only one glad to see you tomorrow. For now, I'll gladly keep talking to you if it soothes you and helps you fall asleep. You and Nora-both of you, man, I must be losing my touch. I put you both to sleep, just my sheer presence."

Lisa started to laugh, but yawned again, "Gosh, I really am hitting a wall, so tired." She shifted to sit-up and groaned as she did. "I suppose I should get ready for bed while I still have any energy left. I'm going to try and get some sleep with my traveling tomorrow. I can't wait to see you."

"Now I really wish I was there, I mean, you know, to help you get ready for bed any way I can." Lisa grinned as she stood. "I can't wait to see you either. Maggie said she missed you too, today, I mean when she picked up Sorayah and was sending one of her meatloaves over tomorrow for us to have for dinner. She knows you love that."

"That honestly sounds divine," Lisa sighed. "I'll look forward to that. Right now, a hot shower and bed-"

"Both things I hate to miss," Jack chuckled. "Here, it is sounding like mashed bananas and mashed peas."

"For you?" Lisa grinned. "Oh wait, you mean for Nora."

"Laugh it up," he chuckled with her. "I'm aging by the minute taking care of an infant here. Yes, I might be eating that with her by the time you get home."

She smiled into the phone, "All the more reason for me to get home. Sounds like you both need someone to spoon feed you. I love you both. Tell Marion and Amy I miss them both and will see all of you tomorrow, and thanks for rescuing me from Dan."

"Night, Lise. Love you, and you get some sleep. I'll be the old cowboy waiting for you on the front porch with the really cute blonde." Lisa laughed as she hung up, grinning at her phone screen saver picture as she did. She couldn't wait to get home to her old cowboy and cute blonde as Jack had called them and tonight, was so glad for the almost 12-hour reprieve from Dan and his antics.

Lisa's wish for a quiet, restful night didn't come true, as she was awakened in the middle of the night, not feeling well at all. Her mind instantly went to Nora's early arrival, and after pacing her room for a half hour and thinking through every awful scenario, she decided she needed help and unfortunately, a trip to the hospital. Lisa was terrified her worst fears, fears she'd tried to put out of her mind this pregnancy were about to come true.

With a frantic pounding on Dan's door directly across the hall, Lisa tried to calm herself. She looked up and down the hall, noting it was completely quiet now at 2AM. She pounded again, finally hearing the door latch before Dan greeted her there, clad in silk boxers and no shirt. She almost paused to address that, Dan never dressing like that for bed when they'd been married, but he wiped at his face as he tried to greet her.

"Lisa, what's wrong?" He gestured at her, "Something wrong? You're clutching your side."

She nodded, "I don't know what is wrong, only that something is. Dan, I'm really scared. I've been up pacing for some time now, and" she paused, tears pooling in her eyes. "I can't have something go wrong."

"Okay, okay," he nodded, reassuring her with his hand on her arm. "Ahh," he hooked his hand over his shoulder, "let me throw on some clothes, and I'll drive you to the hospital." Lisa nodded knowing the fear had to be evident on her face. As he told her that, she looked to her own attire, a beautiful set of maternity pajamas in a floral print Jack (and really Marion) had given her a month or so ago, Lisa knowing Marion would have helped Jack find them. She loved them and wore them repeatedly, but now felt self-conspicuous in them especially with a trip to the hospital.

"I should change-"

"Nonsense," Dan shook his head, pulling his pants on as he stood. He grabbed for a t-shirt nearby and put that on too, Lisa then looking to her feet.

"I, ahh, need shoes, not these slipper and oh, my purse," she gestured.

"Lisa," he called to her, "wait. You're in a panic. We'll get things sorted, and you will be fine."

The tears started to fall as Lisa clutched her side, "I don't need to be fine. I need the baby to be fine, not me."

Dan now fully clothed, grabbed his keys and wallet as he stepped toward Lisa. He paused in front of her and stilled her hands, nodding at her, "You're both going to be okay. Let's go," he gestured, "we'll get your things. You'll need your phone." Lisa nodded, now unaware of anything more he was saying.

It took some time to wait on the elevator and for Dan to get the rental car and get Lisa at the door, but soon they were on their way, Lisa clutching her side as Dan drove.

"Are you in pain or having contractions?"

"Maybe, I mean the contractions. I don't feel right. I have pain in my lower back. I do know that, and with Nora-she was so early, and that can't be happening now. I'm only 27 weeks. I'm not due until the end of September, after my birthday. It's the first week of July, Dan. That's too early! So early. Oh gosh, what if something happens?"

"We'll be there in eight minutes," he waved his hand at the screen. "It's the university hospital. They will take good care of you both."

"I can't lose this baby. You don't understand-" and Lisa paused, looking over at him, the tears streaming down her face. She nodded, "You do understand. I'm sorry. We've been here before, not this far along."

"Yes, we have," he said with a nod.

Lisa looked down at her lap and finally noted she was clutching her phone. She waved her hand in the air, "Oh, I need to call Jack-"

"Hey," Dan put his hand on hers and nodded, "no problem with you calling Jack. I'll call him if I need to, but why don't you just wait and see what the hospital says. He can't do anything from where he is, and I know it's only going to worry him. It's after midnight there, and that is just my advice."

She listened and nodded, somewhat rational now in the moment, "I'll wait for now."

Waiting seemed to be a theme for the next hour as they arrived and were sent to OB triage, where they did get Lisa hooked up to monitors and waited and waited and waited. From the little she knew about Nora's delivery, things were okay on the monitors. The baby had a strong heartbeat, one of her biggest concerns, and she didn't seem to have intensifying pain. She still had some pain, but it didn't remind her of the contractions she'd had with Nora. Considering that delivery was fresh in her mind, she felt like she would know. Dan had been okay, Lisa telling him to just go get some coffee for the time being. He had been in and out of the room, checking on her, but it was definitely a bit awkward. He had returned and taken up residence in a chair that was in the corner of the room. Lisa handed him the remote to the television, and after reassuring him she didn't care what he watched, he turned on the sports news.

"A Mrs. Stillman," her head snapped to the door where a doctor had a tablet and was more than likely looking at the labs and things that had already been done. Lisa understood things took time, but it didn't ease her concerns at all.

"Yes," she looked to him with a slight nod. He was joined by a female, and the doctor waved at her.

"This is Dr. Adams. She's a resident who has been monitoring your labs and all of the monitors from the desk.

"I was telling Dr. Lee here you look to be dehydrated and appear to have prodomal labor or false labor. It mimics like real labor, somewhat between Braxton Hicks contractions and active labor."

"I would tend to agree but want to continue to monitor for a bit," Dr. Lee nodded. He glanced over at Dan, "Hopefully, we can send you and your wife home soon."

"Oh, he's not my husband," Lisa jumped in, grimacing with more pain. She waved at Dan, "He's my ex-husband."

"Okay, right, no problem, ex-husband," he nodded at Dan. "We're going to take care of your baby and hopefully be able to send you home, still pregnant for the time being."

"He's not the father," she said with a tight smile, shaking her head, now sighing as she needed to explain further. "My husband is, but-"

"Lisa got me out of bed at our hotel where we are staying,-" Dan started, but Lisa shot him a look and turned back to the doctor, but not before he commented.

"It's fine. I don't need to know who is doing what with whom or anything. I'm sorry. I assumed that with you bringing her here, but I'm not here to get into the middle of any marriage issues or whatever-"

"Dan and I are business partners here from Alberta, Canada working down at the racetrack. We both own stables in Canada with high value racehorses. We are not at all romantically involved," she sighed, looking to the ceiling. "We have been divorced over a decade, hence the joint business venture with our racehorses. My husband, Jack, is back home in Alberta with our daughter, who is seven months old, or almost," she shook her head, now glaring at the doctor. "My marriage is great. Dan is being a good friend, and I'm hoping you can tell me this baby is okay too. My daughter was born in December six weeks early."

"Understood," the doctor said with a nod. "My apologies. We're going to pull up the ultrasound and take a look, make sure we don't have any issues there." Lisa nodded as the two doctors got ready for that, shifting a little in bed to adjust for them. Dan called out to her.

"Lisa do you need me to leave?"

"No, Dan it's fine," she waved her hand. "Just keep watching your sports." The female doctor was standing over her as she said that, and Lisa rolled her eyes, earning a smile from the younger doctor.

"So, you have a seven month old daughter and are 27 weeks along-"

"Yes," Lisa said with another roll of her eyes. "I know you are doing the math in your head. This one," she patted her side, "a surprise right away, but a welcome one. My daughter was a big surprise too. Didn't think I could have kids, or so I had been told."

"Well, when the doctor returns, we'll take a look." She studied the monitor strip and nodded, "This looks good. I know you are in pain, but it's not showing progressive labor. Where is your pain now?" Lisa gestured more to her back, and then grimaced as she felt more pain.

"Have you been drinking water?"

Lisa nodded, "You mentioned I could be dehydrated, but I have no idea how. All I do is use the restroom."

"I can attest to that," Dan called out from his chair, and both women looked to him. "What?" He shrugged at Lisa. "You have. I don't think you've been drinking that much though, barely a glass of water with your dinner."

"You need to make sure and have more than normal," the doctor told her. "Tea, coffee, water, something with a water base in it."

"Flying home today," Dan threw in there, and Lisa sighed as she threw a fake smile at the doctor.

"Yes, we are. That reminds me, I really need to update my husband. He doesn't know I'm here."

"Go ahead," the doctor patted her hand. "It will be a minute getting that ultrasound in here. The usual one is out for repair."

Lisa dug her phone out from her side where she'd left it and quickly pulled up Jack, calling him.

"Lise?" Jack grumbled into the phone. "What's wrong?"

"Jack, I'm in the OB triage. I had some pain here and was worried I was in labor-"

"Are you? Lise, hold on, let me turn on the light. Okay, are you in labor? I can head to the airport."

"No, at least they don't think so," she told him. ""They have been watching me on the monitor, nothing is progressing, some sort of false labor, maybe from being dehydrated."

"You were telling me the baby has been on your bladder-"

"I know, but they are checking everything. Dan brought me, so he's here-"

"Lise if you are being admitted, just tell me. I'll be out of here so fast-"

"Jack, hold tight. I am hopeful this is just a scare." Lisa looked to the doctor, "If all is well, will I be able to get out of here today?"

"If there are no problems, but," she pointed at Lisa, "don't hold me to that. If you are just dehydrated, we will send you on your way. What time was your flight?"

"Ahh-"

"11:55 Lise," Jack called out from the phone. "I have your itinerary right here."

"My husband said 11:55. Dan?" Lisa looked over at him, and he was tuning them out.

"What?" Dan looked to her.

"Our flight, still 11:55?"

"Umm, yeah, I looked a bit ago. Still on time. Are we even going to try and make it?"

"It's only 4:30 AM now," the doctor nodded. "Let's see what develops, but you still might be able to get home. You'll need to drink plenty and stay rested, but this really isn't looking like active labor."

"Jack did you hear all of that?" Lisa asked.

"I did. What's the next step?"

"Ahh," she pinched the bridge of her nose with more pain, "they are going to do an ultrasound, make sure everything looks okay."

"I'll stay on the phone with you. If you need to put it down, just leave it connected," he told her. "I'm up now and going to make some coffee. Sounds like we are both in for a long night. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm glad Dan could be there with you in OB."

Lisa chuckled, "Oh, you have no idea what was said there. I'm going to put the phone down now for a minute." Lisa saw the doctor wanting to take her blood pressure, so she put the phone on the small table. The doctor worked, checking things again and nodding.

"With your age and all, your blood pressure is good. I'm sure your OB told you it is a risk, a pregnancy right after another. You have a few risks then with that, with your age-"

"My husband's age too," she said with a small smile and roll of her eyes. "He's 67-"

"Not for a couple more weeks," Jack called out from the phone. Lisa laughed, and the doctor did too, nodding.

"Okay, then, we have the miracle pregnancy with all these risks factoring in. I must applaud you, Sir, keeping up with an infant at home, soon to be two."

"He runs a 600-acre cattle ranch, so not your typical senior citizen," Lisa grinned. The doctor chuckled, and they all looked to the doorway to see the ultrasound machine being rolled in.

"Okay," Dr. Lee said as he hooked up the ultrasound machine and walked over to Dr. Adams. "How is she looking?"

Dr. Adams pulled at the monitor strip, "You can see things look good, no progression." Lisa watched the doctors as they read things and talked, both nodding. He looked back at Lisa.

"How are you feeling now? We did start that IV so you are getting more fluid."

"Still have some pain, but it's not what it was back at the hotel," Lisa told them.

"Let's check the ultrasound. I'm going to check things now." He shifted around, and Dr. Adams worked the other side of the bed from him. Lisa was getting anxious, wanting to make sure things were okay, and apparently Dr. Adams sensed that.

"What is your little girl's name?"

"Nora," Lisa smiled at the mention of her. "Oh, doctor, my husband is on the phone, just waiting for any news." Lisa gestured to the phone, and Dr. Lee nodded.

"I'm Dr. Lee, and we're going to take a look at your wife and baby right now."

"Thanks, Doc, Jack here, if you need me."

"Okay," Dr. Lee sat down and turned things on. Lisa could tell he was good at his job, efficient, but not there for pleasantries. That was fine with her. She didn't need a new friend. She needed a competent doctor who could hopefully reassure her that she and the baby would be flying home today." She glanced to the doctor as he put his glasses on to read the monitor.

"Baby is looking good here," he pointed to a spot not on the baby. "I wanted to check here, no cervix issues, which was one possible concern. Yes, he's very active here."

"He?" Both Lisa and Jack said at the same time through the speaker phone, and Lisa's eyes widened.

"Oh, my apologies-you didn't want to know?"

"No, no," Lisa smiled, adding, "we do, we did. HE," she enunciated with a smile, "hasn't been cooperating. They've checked a few times now, and it's always the same problem."

"Definitely a he," he said with a smile. "I'm very sorry if I ruined anything. I get to working and just work and say what I see."

"Doc, I hate Lisa is there, but if she really is okay, you more than made her day. That's all she's been wanting to know, aside from the baby being healthy."

"It's a boy," he nodded, gesturing to the screen. "I'll print you some pictures, but let me finish looking around here." The doctor worked for a few more minutes, taking measurements and all, and finally, he seemed done with the machine. "Okay, I don't see any pre-term labor issues today. Dehydrated, yes, that's what it seems. The IV has been on board now for about an hour, and your don't seem to be in as much pain.

"No, I'm," and at that, they all looked over when they heard Dan snoring. Somehow, he'd fallen asleep in the chair, and Lisa started to laugh, gesturing toward the phone. "Jack, sorry, we're laughing at Dan who is snoring."

"Hey, he can sleep all he wants. He got you there, Lise, and I just want to make sure you and the baby are okay."

The doctor there with Lisa nodded in agreement, "She's looking okay. We're going to let you finish the bag of fluids you are currently on now. I need you to drink plenty today, which is hard with travel, but any further pain, do not get on that plane. I will ask you to follow up with your doctor at home when you return, but any problems at all-"

"I promise. I'm not here to risk anything," Lisa nodded quickly.

"Okay," he nodded as he stood from his chair. "Dr. Adams here is going to continue to monitor you for the next hour or so. If all is well, we should have you out of here but 7AM or just after."

"Thank, Doc," Jack called out, and Lisa nodded in agreement.

"Thank you very much," Lisa said with a soft smile, adding, "and thank you for telling us about our boy."

"Glad to deliver some good news today and not deliver a baby," he winked at her. "You're ahh, ex-husband can visit the coffee shop on the first floor. It is open now."

"Thanks," Lisa nodded. "Yes, he went in search of some earlier, but didn't find much." Dr. Lee stepped out of the room, and Dr. Adams was there to give some instructions.

"Okay, I will be in and out over the next hour or two. I suggest you try to get some rest here. So, a boy for you?" Dr. Adams nodded at Lisa, "Is that a good thing?"

"A very good thing," Lisa grinned. "I wanted a boy. My husband wanted a girl-"

"Only because my wife and daughter are so beautiful, why mess with that?" Jack offered from the phone, and Lisa rolled her eyes. "I'm more than okay with a boy, as long as he and Lisa are healthy. Besides, it's not like I can send him back. It is what it is, and a healthy boy is a really good way to start my day. I suppose, Lise, that means you won our bet." Lisa laughed at that as she nodded there in the room.

"We're all, ahh," Lisa waved to the phone and then to Dan, "an interesting bunch with ages, babies, work relationships-basically, it's almost hard to believe, but it's all true."

"We get some very crazy things in here, sometimes parents and grandparents fighting, spouses and ex's fighting, so this is great to see. Age doesn't matter, except," she rolled her eyes, "apparently in declaring a woman old to deliver a baby, and honestly, it's just a good day here if I can send Mom and Baby home without issue. You take care, and hopefully, we'll have you on a flight home today."

Dan snored loudly from the chair, and the women looked over at him again, Lisa hooking her hand toward Dan, "Might just leave him here with you, ehh?"

"I am not a Dan fan, but today, Lise, I'm really glad he was with you. Call be again after you get some rest, okay?"

"Love you, Cowboy," she said into the phone, nodding to the doctor as she was stepping out and closing the door. "I'll get some rest here, and boy, if Hudson could talk now, Dan and I sharing a room," she started laughing, "oh, boy, what a day it has already been."
