In front of the King's Cross Station, a limousine stopped.

Harry stepped out of the luxurious car, and behind him was his mother, Albedo, and LupusRegina walked behind them.

The people around started to look their way, and some took photos.

Harry wore a tuxedo with a green tie, and his mother a white dress. Harry's personal maid was close by and stopped many who wanted to get closer.

The uproar was visible throughout most of the station, but a newly arrived family ignored it. They were too occupied taking all their belongings from a small car, in it was 7 people, and it seems that they also had 5 trunks with their belongings. It was almost an impossible feat to do if they were not a wizard. They were the Weasleys, who were taking their time with their trunks.

The first of the Weasleys to take everything necessary was Ginny. She was desperate since her brothers were taking too long, especially because the twins just charmed Percy's trunk to be glued to the car. But it backfired as Percy's trunk was close to theirs, and George's trunk ended up next to his, or was it Fred's?

Ginny entered the station and realized something. The group of people went in the opposite direction of platform 9 3/4. She was relieved that there would be no problem with the Muggles, then she suddenly saw him pass by on her right.

Harry Potter, passed close to her. He was with his mother and a woman dressed in maid ropes. She did not notice him until he was already too far.

She looked at him while he was walking with disinterest to the platform 9 3/4. He wanted to go to the platform now, but his family was still nowhere in sight. She could go at that moment, but she decided to stay. She would feel bad for her mother, who wanted to be with her.

..

Harry passed the pillar, and look around, and found that Hermione was already talking to Pansy. 'They really are best friends. It is most likely that they agreed beforehand to arrive together.' Thought Harry.

Harry went with his family to greet them. Wendell and Perseus were talking and laughing, while both women just shook their heads.

"Oh, Ms Suzuki! It's good to see you. Good day young Harry", said Perseus. The parents started to talk to themselves, and Albedo continued talking with a smile. Nothing was wrong in that small talk, except that everyone was looking in their direction.

Harry approached the girls, "Long time without seeing you two together". Both girls looked at him as if they wanted to murder him.

"What? The last time I saw you were back on my birthday", Harry said defensibly.

Pansy crossed her arms and looked at Harry with a frown, "yes, well, we do not appreciate that you left us with those mug… those non-wizards." Hermione turned to see her, and Pansy said, "I will not call them Maho Nashi."

Harry shrugged, "you seem like you could handle it, and if you needed help Hermione could help you."

Hermione put her hands on her hips, "Harry, do you know what you did when you left us there saying we were your "special personal guests" while hugging us?"

"I gave you enough protection so the more smug people won't bother you", said Harry dismally.

Both girls sighed at the same time, Hermione only turned to Pansy, "you handle him. I am starting to guess that he does not do it on purpose, but again…" Hermione trailed off when she looked at her parents.

It was the truth that her parents were doing well even without the sudden amount of money they received from her great-grandfather. But now they have not only an enormous amount of money, and properties in Canada wizarding world, and a couple of in England. They also have received a non-wizard company. The surprise sent her mother to the hospital for a heart attack. It was Harry's family that helped them manage everything.

'Did he just leave us alone to handle them for him for his amusement? Or he was trying to help me to handle that kind of people?' thought Hermione.

Pansy looked at Hermione, who was lost in her thoughts while looking at her parents talking with Albedo. Pansy had not received any update regarding the whole visit to the Granger's family head. They only told her, in a short letter, that they had broken off their engagement.

"It's almost time to go. We should board to find an appropriate compartment", suggested Harry and was heard by Albedo and the other adults. The three young students said goodbye to their parents.

Albedo hugged Harry and, in a whisper, said, "look for an opportunity". Harry smiled and nodded.

When the three students finally entered the train, they found an empty compartment at the end of the wagon. Hermione looked at the window while sitting in front of Harry and Pansy.

From their seat, they saw some students walking through the corridor. Then the door opened and Draco showed up, with Crabbe and Goyle behind him. The two bodyguards said 'hi' without a problem to the three occupants, but Draco approached them differently.

"Suzuki" nodded Draco and then turned to the girl on the other side, "Gran… Hermione", and nodded. "I will look for a compartment for my own. I will see you in the castle", said the blonde and left. Behind him were Vincent and Gregory, who just shrugged and followed him.

"What was that?" asked Hermione. Harry only looked at Pansy, who decided to open a book.

Some students continued passing, and some of them heard the interaction.

Harry decided to answer, but he was still looking at Pansy, "I guess that it was inevitable. He will come around."

Pansy eyed at Harry, "and why should I care? Was her who asked".

Hermione frowned at the situation and got annoyed at being let out of the whole situation. She hated not knowing what was happening, or better say, she hated not knowing. But to Harry, that was an expression of a worried friend. At the same time, Harry imagined another reason but immediately dismissed the idea.

Pansy saw Hermione, and she also frowned. She did not want to expose her current status to a half-blood and looked weak. "I was going to ask for your visit to her head of the house", said Pansy while closing the book that she haven't started to read.

"Your letter was rather vague", said Pansy. Hermione's eyes went widened for a moment, but before Pansy could notice it, the door opened again.

"Could I-I-I…" said a red-haired girl who stopped talking when she saw Harry. She did not notice that he was there, and only saw a girl at first, but once she saw him, her whole face got red.

"Perfect, another Weasley", said Pansy. Hermione slapped Pansy's knees, "don't go saying things like that?"

"Who are you to stop me?" replied Pansy who frowned at her. A staring contest happened for a few seconds.

Harry saw everything and did not know what to do. Hermione and Pansy were back in their own little world, and this unknown girl was at the door of their compartment. He decided to break the tension between the two girls first, "we know that not all the Weasleys are bad. We only know one who likes to antagonize us."

Hermione smirked at Pansy, and she only frowned now at Harry. But the boy did not see her as he turned to see the red-haired girl, "so, can we help you?"

The girl got even redder and left the compartment. She could not believe it. In her mind, while walking, was thinking, 'I met Harry Potter, and he talked to me, and he defended me'.

Harry looked at the girl getting away and raised an eyebrow while thinking, 'what did I do? Did I scare her?'.

He thought he should ask about her and turned to the two girls who were still inside the compartment, "do you know her?"

Pansy looked at Harry, and she could not help but say, "Stop. Why do you care about her?"

Harry was about to answer, but Hermione started to giggle, and Pansy looked at her, "What is so funny?"

"You being jealous", replied Hermione crossing her arms with a smirk.

The door opened again, but this time it was Dean who opened. "Oh, finally find a familiar face", said the Gryffindor before entering the compartment without asking permission and sitting next to Hermione.

Pansy was going to say something, but then he greeted Harry and the others casually. Pansy did not answer the greeting and only sighed.

The train started to move everything calmed down. Dean was about to talk with Harry about Futbol, but Pansy spoke first, "you still haven't told me about your visit to the head of her family".

Dean shut up and looked at Harry and Hermione. The Gryffindor girl looked nervous, but Harry looked bored.

"Nothing to say really. He took it pretty well, but he kept talking with Hermione afterwards," said dismissingly.

Pansy smirked and turned to Hermione, "How bad was his ire? Did he disown you?"

Hermione looked upset at the idea, "he will never do that. For your information, we talked extensively about our family and the different properties he… we own."

It was now Pansy who crossed her arms, "I can see that you are not saying something. Nobody will just break an engagement so easily, unless". Pansy drew a smirk, and Hermione's eyes looked like she could pierce Pansy.

"He asked you to find another fiancée, correct?" suggested Pansy, and Hermione's eyes betrayed her.

"I knew it. He would want to pure your family again. Obviously, he won't accept any non-pure heir", said the Slytherin girl with a smirk.

"For your information, the Granger house is not against any non-wizard, first-generation, or half-blood. Even when our family does believe that the heir should be magical", said fast and defensively Hermione.

"Pure-blood. I knew it", Pansy kept her smirk, but now she added her one eyebrow up.

"Magical and pure-blood ideas are different!" screamed the Gryffindor girl.

Dean who watched the whole scene, had a question, "what's the difference?"

Hermione's neck turned fast to let her see his fellow Gryffindor. "A magical heir means that I should marry someone with magic in their blood", said the Gryfinor girl while frowning at Dean, who flinched when she turned to him to answer. Then she turned to see Pansy, "It can be a first-generation, a half-blood, not only Pure-blood."

Dean turned to Harry and whispered, "Hey, Harry. What is a first-generation?"

.

Inside the castle, Harry and Pansy walked their way to the dungeons and find the prefect. "You will be better pay attention", said the prefect, then turned to the wall and said, "pure-blood". The door to the Slytherin common room appeared, and everybody entered.

There was no need for the prefect for more speeches, and only told them, "Remember about your year, and got to your respectable room. You should all be at the great hall in 15 minutes for the opening ceremony."

Harry walked to the common room and said to Pansy, "I'll wait here". Pansy nodded and went to her new room to make sure that everything was in order with her belongings.

The rest of the students did the same as Pansy and went to their room. The Slytherins paid attention. The power struggle was happening.

..

Inside the Great Hall, the students were sitting at their respective tables for each house. The Slytherin was close to the left wall and as if hiding their most famous or powerful students, around the heirs of different powerful families, different older students were sitting. In reality, it was more of a political manoeuvre of winning their graces, as the seventh-year students understood that after school they will need to find a job. Not everyone was doing it, only those who will not inherit anything were looking for an opportunity to get a good job, either in the ministry, or within a company, or get sponsorship to realize their personal ideals.

Many thought that it was going to be easy to talk with Marcus Flint. The Slytherin Quidditch Capitan was thought to be a brute for the way he plays, and his academy results, which were barely acceptable enough to pass the year. To their misfortune, he was the Capitan of the Quidditch team for a reason, because unknown to most, he was good at judging people, and through the years he had become better at it. And now in his sixth year, he is thinking seriously about his future career and seeing if becoming a professional Quidditch player was only a child's dream.

The second person with more people around was Draco, and unlike Flint, he was approached by some fifth, fourth, and third years, who wanted to help their parents, and some to think about their future careers in the ministry.

Harry, on the other hand, was also approached by the half-bloods of Slytherin, who think they have a better opportunity with another half-blood than with a pure-blood, but the number was thin as many do not want to risk too much because of the blood-traitor label of his family.

Due to the current situation, and to make matters more confusing, Harry and Draco sat next to each other, and they shared some words. But on the other side of Harry was Pansy, and the other side of Draco was Daphne.

The Greengrass girl was also approached by some students, but for a different reason. She is the older daughter in a family with no male heir. Daphne thought it was to her advantage as she could select with who she could marry, at least for the moment. She had the idea of becoming friendly with Zabini, and with that, she may meet his mother and try to learn something from her. Unfortunately, her status also attracts people who think she was an easy target, and many older students have approached her.

Harry turned to see the teacher's table and saw the smiley teacher dressed in brilliant yellow. He turned to Draco and let him see the teacher. Draco shook his head, not knowing what his father thought when he let that man become a teacher. He turned to see the Gryffindor table and saw a bushy hair girl looking dreamily at the yellow-robed new teacher. Draco frowned and turned his head again to the teacher's table, "why is that buffoon there?"

"The only available position is for Defense Against Dark Arts. Unless they finally gave it to Professor Snape. In that case, he would be our new potion teacher. But I find it hard to believe that Professor Snape would use any of the books on the list for it", answered Daphne looking at the table.

Harry shook his head, "no. Even when he wrote in his books that he is good at potions, he always talks about his prowess in magical duels."

Pansy looked at the teacher and said, "well. He is famous, like it or not, so the school may have asked him to come to boost Hogwarts's reputation".

Harry looked like he was thinking about Pansy's answer, but then he replied, "I don't know, I concurred with Draco. If they wanted a famous writer, I could have called some I know. Or they could even offer the post to the editor of the Quibbler, he would be a better teacher".

Daphne frowned and looked at Harry, "'the Quibbler'? That rubbish paper? Really?"

Draco snorted, "he may be right. In fact, on the train a weird girl gave us the paper, and really... It sounds more believable than his books".

Suddenly, the doors of the hall were opened, and the first years entered. Harry scanned the new students and smirked when he saw a blond girl.

Draco got closer to Daphne, "is your sister in there?"

"No, she is still young. She will be next year, and you should know that", said Daphne. That interaction was not in Harry's eyes but was heard by him.

To Harry's surprise, the number of new students was even lowered than the previous year.

The names were shouted one by one by Professor McGonagall.

The name of the blonde girl, to which Harry was keeping close attention, was finally called out. The girl walked happily to the front and sat. When the old hat was placed on her head, it chuckled a little, and then it shouted, "Ravenclaw!"

Harry nodded, and Pansy only eyed him. She will have time to question him about his attention to the blond girl.

The only other name to remember for Harry was the one from the red-haired girl that opened their compartment on the train. "Weasley, Ginevra", screamed the deputy headmistress, and Harry confirmed the information given by Pansy.

Ginny was the last of the group and she walked nervously thinking that everyone was watching her. Her hands were sweaty and almost fall in front of everybody. She still managed to walk and sat on the stool and the old hat was placed on her head.

'Ha! Another of you? Well, this is simple' said the hat in Ginny's head. "Gryffindor", shouted the hat for everyone to hear.

She stood up happy and with more energy. She gave the hat back and sat close to Ron, and unfortunately for her, close to the so-called 'Harry's betrothed'. Ron hugged her and congratulated his sister.

The headmaster used a sonorous charm to amplify his voice and then cleared his throat, "Welcome, welcome everybody, to a new year in Hogwarts. For those who are coming back, Hogwarts miss you. For those who are new, Hogwarts is pleased to meet you. Now before we start our new year, I want to give you a few words."

"Again, with that?" whispered Draco.

"And here they are: Disce, dispute, simul, virtus. Thank you", said the headmaster, and he proceeded to sit, and the students clapped. Harry only shook his head, "this year is even more obvious". Draco turned to see Harry with an eyebrow up, trying to decipher if he was bluffing or not.

The food appeared out of thin air, and all the students started to talk again.

When Ron realized that Ginny was looking at Hermione, he leaned to his sister and said, "come on, don't get involved with her delusions". Ginny nodded but could not help but hear her talk.

"So, now that you broke your betrothed with him… maybe now you could…" trailed off Dean but was interrupted by Lavender. "You broke the engagement with Potter?"

"It's Suzuki! And, yes, we did break it this summer", answered Hermione trying not to look at her housemates.

"Why? Don't tell me that the Parkinson girl took it from you. If you want we can help you", said Lavender.

Hermione calmed herself before answering, "the whole thing was made without my consent. At least now we can choose who we want to be with".

Lavender was sitting again, but then she stopped when Dean said, "as long it's magical pure, right?"

Hermione's eyes got wider, turned to Dean, and it looked like she could kill him at any moment. "Sorry", is the only that he could mutter.

Ginny frowned. 'Didn't Ron say that she was a Muggleborn?' thought Ginny. She turned to see her brother and saw his brother's disapproval.
