Bridge

Executor

Leia Organa glanced around for all of a second as she cradled her dying mother, and then focused in her twin.

"Luke!" she cried out, "I'm losing her!"

Luke divested himself of his binders with ease, leaped forward and lifted Padme in his own strong arms, even as he focused all of his healing power on the pale, wan face.

"Situation?" he barked.

"Gave birth twenty minutes ago," Leia barked back. "I arrived when she was breathing her last. Managed to revive her, but then she hemorrhaged. I gave her a blood transfusion and here we are. I'm exhausted, Luke…"

"I have her," Luke answered, and he did. He felt the bond between them solidifying as he poured power into the woman who was biologically his mother. Padme was not a Force sensitive, of course, but with the familial bond, and with his own enormous, trained strength in the Force, he could feel her stabilizing.

Leia felt her own head swimming with fatigue from the effort of the last minutes, but she was aware enough to notice where they were, and where they were wasn't exactly awesome. A bridge of some Star Destroyer. A bunch of bewildered officers and trigger happy stormtroopers. And Darth Vader who was, mercifully, not looking at her but at Padme and Luke.

"What is happening?" the Sith said, though with far more uncertainty than was ever heard through the vocoder.

Leia pulled herself together. Luke was busy with Padme and couldn't afford to be distracted, so that left her to deal with their psycho Sith Lord dad.

"Padme and I traveled through time at least twenty years," she said succinctly. "Luke is doing everything he can to save her, but she needs a medbay. So move it, Vader! Now!"

She felt, even past the dark vortex of Vader's power, the terror throughout the room as she yelled at Darth Vader. The Sith, however, responded with surprising rapidity.

"This way!" he ordered, and rushed down the bridge toward the nearest bank of elevators. Luke, with Padme still in his arms, hurried after her, and Leia rushed after them, though she took a few seconds to observe that a viewscreen was showing the shield generators on Hoth.

"You should have that wound looked at," she said to Piett, looking at the man's bleeding shoulder.

"I need to have my wound looked at," Piett repeated robotically.

Leia reached out with the Force to break the screen in question and rushed to join her family in the elevator.

Darth Vader's Private Medbay

Thirty minutes later

"The patient is stable but remains unconscious, Lord Vader," the med droid announced in its flat voice. Leia was privately of the opinion that med droids should have cheerful, soothing voices, but naturally Vader would have no appreciation for such a thing.

"Thank the Force," Luke muttered, and collapsed onto a nearby chair. "That…was not easy."

"It wasn't," Leia agreed. "I don't know why I couldn't have shown up like ten minutes earlier like the last time…"

"Vader would have died," Luke pointed out. "Because of the bond."

Darth Vader, who had spent the last hour more or less bewildered, was now caught between incredulous ecstasy at the return of his beloved wife and confusion over what had happened.

"What happened?" he demanded, though he kept his gaze on Padme on her bed, fearful that she would disappear before his eyes.

Luke accepted a glass of water that Leia had procured for him and drank it down, then sagged back against his seat and said, "Well, like I told you on the bridge, the Force sends us back in time to fix things in various timelines. This time, we got split up in time somehow…"

Vader reluctantly took his eyes off Padme to focus them on Leia. "Why would you be sent back in time?" he demanded.

"Why wouldn't I be?" Leia retorted, lowering her brows.

"Father, Leia is my twin sister," Luke said patiently.

Darth Vader, Dark Lord of Sith retreated a centimeter even as his Force sense went from joyfully stunned to horrified.

"Leia…Leia Organa of Alderaan is my…is my…"

"Biological daughter, yes," Leia said drily. "No father of the Galaxy for you, for obvious reasons. But Luke, before we get too sidetracked, I think you should know that I did get transported to this timeline first, and then got knocked back to Polis Massa, then back to this one. I stopped The Kiss."

Luke raised his eyebrows. "Which Kiss?"

"What do you mean, which Kiss? I only kissed you once."

"You kissed me on the Death Star when we were about to swing across the chasm," Luke pointed out smugly.

"That…that was just for luck," Leia returned, turning a little pink.

"You shouldn't kiss your brother," Vader volunteered, though his tone was still slightly befuddled through the mask.

"Well, yes, I shouldn't," Leia agreed, rolling her eyes and planting her hands on her hips. "But that is what happened when some moron named Obi-Wan Kenobi neglected to inform Luke that he had a sister and maybe he shouldn't just run around randomly kissing women…"

"Which I didn't!" Luke declared, throwing up his hands. "You are the one who kissed me just to annoy Han…"

"True," Leia admitted. "Anyway, that didn't happen this timeline. I did tell Luke and Leia they are twins and about Big, Tall, and Scary here, but I'm not 100% sure they heard the last part about their father going haywire, because I didn't have much time."

"Hmmm, that is awkward," Luke said with a frown. "I hope they got the message about that because it is vitally important information."

"Yeah," Leia agreed.

Medbay

Hoth

General Rieekan looked at Luke, then Leia, then Han, then back to Leia.

"You are saying that a time traveling version of yourself appeared out of nowhere and told you and Skywalker that you are twins?" General Rieekan demanded incredulously.

"Yes," Leia said, still looking befuddled. "And Two One Bee checked our DNA profiles and we match, and then we did another test with another droid. Luke and I are twins!"

Rieekan stared at the princess, then at Skywalker, then back at the princess. "You don't look very much alike," he said dubiously.

"Well, the Other Leia..."

"That is so weird to say," Luke murmured.

"Yeah. She said that our parents were Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. I don't know what Skywalker looked like, but I have seen holos of Padme and she was a dark haired, dark eyed brunette."

"Padme Amidala!" Rieekan breathed in wonder. "I never met her, but I certainly remember her! A queen of Naboo at 14, a Senator of the Republic a few years later! How extraordinary."

"I can't believe my mother was a queen and my sister a princess," Luke said from his seat

"I can't believe your sister was going to smooch you, Kid," Han Solo drawled.

The twins immediately flushed bright red and Leia leaned over to whack Solo gently on the arm. "Cut it out, Han."

"So where did this time traveler go?" Rieekan asked, sensibly avoiding the issue of clueless twins kissing each other.

"Just disappeared into nothingness," Leia said. "It was crazy."

"Did she say anything else of interest?"

"Yeah, I'd say so," Han said, displaying his full, lopsided grin. "She said that she married the Han Solo of her timeline, and they have four kids together."

Leia rolled her eyes and said, though rather half heartedly, "Maybe she was teasing you."

"She did say something else," Luke said, his brow furrowed. "Just before she disappeared, but so fast that we didn't understand her. I think I heard her say 'Anakin' and then 'Vader'."

Leia gritted her teeth at this reminder of the hideous cyborg who had tortured her and held her back while the Death Star destroyed Alderaan. "Probably she was saying something about Vader killing our father, Anakin?"

Luke tilted his head and wrinkled his nose. "But we know that already, so why would she sound so frantic?"

"I don't know," Leia said, sighing. "I guess we'll have to hope it wasn't too important, since there is no way to find out."

R2D2, a hitherto silent observer, beeped at length and C-3PO said helpfully, "R2D2 just informed me that he recorded the last few minutes of the other Princess Leia's visit."

Luke perked up happily and said, "Great job, R2! Can you please show it to us, and slow down the ending so we can understand what she was saying?"

R2 rotated his dome a few times and beeped again.

"Are you certain?" C-3PO translated, then turned toward his mechanical counterpart. "What do you mean by that question, R2? Master Luke gave you an order!"

More beeping.

"You are not going to like what the time traveling princess said," Threepio translated.

The four humans and one Wookiee exchanged uneasy glances and Leia said, "Well, whatever she had to say, we need to know. R2, go ahead."

The little astromech gave a robot sigh and obediently began playing the recording on a nearby handy wall. At the end, he slowed down the audio and video, enabling the small group to hear the older Leia's last words: "Luke, Leia, Anakin Skywalker fell! Vader is your father!"

The twins both turned white with horror and Rieekan struggled not to throw up. Han Solo stared from the now frozen vid to the twins and back and said, "Yep, none of us like that at all."

Darth Vader's Private Medbay

Executor

"Padme's awake," Luke said suddenly, noting that his Other Mother's eyes had opened.

"Padme, you are Ok," Leia said in a reassuring tone, approaching the Nubian senator lying on the bed.

Padme looked around with wide eyes and demanded, "Why won't my arms move?"

"You've been mostly dead for a few hours," Luke explained, reaching out to take his sort of mother's hands in his own. He was feeling a bit more perky and able to do some more Force assisted healing.

"Who are you?" Padme demanded, staring at Luke. "Are we enemies? Why am I in this weird medbay? Where is Anakin?"

"Let me explain," Leia said, using the Force to pull a chair over to her mother's bed and then sitting down. "No, there is too much, and I don't always know how much time we have. Let me sum up. Your twins were born healthy. Palpatine tried to kill you by draining your Life Force to save Anakin's life…"

There was a sudden lurch in the Force from Vader, but she ignored it and continued, "I am your daughter Leia, and that is Luke, your son, but from a different, future timeline. I was sent back in time to use the Force to save your life, and then we were pulled forward in time to twenty-three years after the fall of the Republic. So your children are out there with the Rebellion, which is fighting the Empire."

Padme twitched her thumb and Luke said, "You just wiggled your finger! That's wonderful."

"I've always been a quick healer," Padme said. "What about Anakin?"

Leia sighed and gestured toward Vader, who was standing a couple of meters away, staring at his wife with unnerving intensity.

"I'm afraid that Anakin turned to the Dark Side and became the Sith Lord Darth Vader, fought Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar after he choked you, lost three limbs to Kenobi and then was dipped in lava, sustaining third degree burns over his entire body, which necessitated a life support suit. Palpatine being Palpatine, decided on black armor with little blinky lights, so that, more or less, is Anakin."

Padme stared in horror at the cyborg. "Ani?"

Vader opened his mouth, only to hear a voice in his head from his son, "Don't you dare say, 'That name no longer has any meaning for me'. Mother is stressed enough as it is."

The Sith grimaced but decided Luke was right. "Yes, Padme, it is me."

Padme Amidala Naberrie Skywalker sat up straighter and groaned aloud. "What a mess!"

"Yes, it is," Leia agreed.
