Season 2, Chapter 14.

You, Me and everyone!

Asta flies through the sky with Haze closely behind, and Millie looks to the sky above as she remembers what transpired below the ground, which comes to the forefront of her mind. She remembers the battle as the serpent's head nearly came for her and her pulling out her feather blade. ("I haven't pulled that sword out in ages, but it is more than that, I actually hesitated in the midst of battle. I was open for my feelings to get away with me.") Her gut tightens as her vision blurs again.

("Millie, remember," she hears Thomsn's voice. "Not now, Thomsn," Millie replies in her mind. "Just don't be a burden," she hears Thomsn's voice say. "I am trying not to be a burden, I swear I am," she replies in her mind. "Don't try, just do it. Not me or anyone has any use for someone useless," Thomsn's words ring through her as he tosses a cloth to her on the stone floor. "Next time I won't be so nice," he tells her and exits the darkly lit room through the iron door.") Millie shakes off the unpleasant feeling of uselessness and looks ahead. ("Right, just stay useful," she thinks to herself, her vision blurring again, and she gasps as they fly into something big and dark.)

"Millie, what is it?" Asta asks concerned, and Millie shakes her head and body as she looks behind her at the silhouette shade hanging in the air behind them as they fly further away from it. "It is nothing, Master, I must be tired," she utters, looking to Asta.

"Well, we were up all night last night. Oh man, I can't wait to get back to training," he says cheerfully. And Millie looks to him and smiles as her eyes soften, and she looks ahead as they land, and Nero takes off and flies on inside the base. Millie jumps off Asta's shoulder and gets to her human form as Haze lands next to them.

"All right, time to train!" Asta yells. "Training now? We have been up all night, you know," Haze utters with a yawn and puts his hands into his pockets. He feels the flask from yesterday, and his face draws into realization.

"Huh, oh, that is right, I forgot. I need to feed the beasts first," Asta says, and Haze remembers something. "Right, that I will take care of it. I just remembered that I had something else to do as well," Haze says.

"Uh, oh, all right, thanks man," Asta says gratefully, and he hears a boom, and he turns his head. "Huh, oh, that must be Luck and Magna, they are never still either," Asta says with a smile.

"Right, I will borrow Millie too for the day," Haze says and grabs Millie's hand and pulls her along inside. "Uh, okay," Asta replies and looks to Liebe on his shoulder, who shrugs, and Asta turns to the woods and heads on out to work out again.

Meanwhile, Millie is dragged along and looks to Haze's back, and he seems determined all of a sudden about something. "Sir, what do you need?" she gently asks, her glove-covered hand feeling sore in his grip. She looks to the back of his grey hair with purple stripes, but there is no response.

A moment later, they end up in the hallway leading to the beast room. "I need to head out, so take care of this," he orders, not really looking at Millie before he turns his gaze towards the cage where the beasts are getting up and walks up to the iron bars that are keeping them contained.

Haze lets go of her hand and puts his hands into his pockets again, and Millie looks to him as she notices the subtle wave of stress that comes from Haze's person. "Sir?" she asks gently. "Not now, just get it done. I have to figure something out," he orders, and Millie notices that he is rummaging in his pocket before he turns and walks away, leaving Millie in front of the cage, and she looks to the broom in the corner. ("That is right, the vial of green powder. I bet Haze doesn't know what is in it either," she thinks to herself, feeling another wave of dizziness hitting her. "I really need to rest right now, but I suppose I better be quick on feeding and cleaning the cage," she ponders and gets to work.)

Haze flies steadfast on his broom as quickly as he possibly can, and hours pass, and soon he arrives by Neon village. He lands and dismounts his broom and walks into the village.

Meanwhile, Sky walks into the shop where Dylan works, and his eyes draw to a look of disappointment upon seeing her. "It is you," Dylan says quietly. "Don't worry, I am not here for you," she says and heads on past the counter. "What, you aren't really supposed to go back there," Dylan says and gets up, but Sky is already in the back where Jim is working on something small. And Sky plumps down on the chair next to him. "Just a moment," Jim tells her and puts a screw into place before he lifts his goggles and looks to Sky. "Oh, it is Sky, right? I thought you were Dylan," he says and turns his face and looks to the door where Dylan walks in.

"Sorry, the minks was a bit too fast for me. I'll get her out if you need the concentration," Dylan tells him.

"Nah, it is fine. I am not working on anything too difficult right now. The lady who ordered this one mostly just wanted something easy to fend off the flies for when they go to the countryside to have an outing meeting with some folks," Jim explains.

"Right," Dylan says. "Now, if you guys are done, I have a question," Sky states. "A question? About what?" Dylan asks.

"Uh, you want me to invent something new for ya?" Jim asks excitedly.

"No, I would like to," Sky utters as her voice falters a bit. ("How do I even ask this without sounding stupid?" Her mind wonders as she tenses up.)

"Spill it out, people got work to do," Dylan tells her. "I know, just give me a second, okay," Sky retorts and looks to Dylan, whose eyes soften as his face draws to pity. Sky grits her teeth and ignores it and turns to Jim. "I would like to do similar things that you do, would that be okay?" she asks quickly, and the moment goes silent. "Uh, sure, I wouldn't stop you," Jim replies.

"Yeah, I see nothing wrong with that either," Dylan adds, scratching his neck. "You mean is?" Sky asks, her voice growing eager. "Yes, sure."

"Oh, great, then I will come by once my workday is done, and we can get started. I am on my lunch break, so I better get back," she says and stands up.

"Wait, you mean—" Jim asks as Dylan is just as lost for words. "That is just—"

"Hi, guys," a new voice enters, and Sky stops in her tracks, seeing who just got in the door. "The heck is Miss Tomato doing here?" he asks, and Sky's face drops. "For your information, Jim just agreed to let me come in, and we can work on things together whenever I want," Sky replies.

"I never agreed to that," Jim says, and Sky turns her head. "Meh, it was close enough to what you said," Sky brushes it off. "You making tools and messing with mana words, don't be daft. One will need to be able to touch the object that one wishes to use; with your magic, it just passes through."

"I have plenty of other talents, mister," Sky retorts. "As if," Haze scoffs. "Tsk, if it wasn't for me, the mission you went on would never have gone as well as it did," Sky pushes back as a reminder.

"Wait, you went on a mission together?" Dylan asks. "We did, and Haze here mostly just stood there while I worked my magic, both illusions and with mana words," Sky tells him. "Tsk, I did plenty."

"Yes, and you went pale once you saw Asta's injuries too," Sky adds.

"Well, I didn't begin to wail like a little bitch when you thought that someone who isn't even human didn't make it," Haze tells her.

"Hey, ease up, you two; this is getting rather heated," Dylan tells them.

"Yeah, ease up, you guys," Jim adds.

"How can you say that? I knew it; you are a discriminatory asshole just like your dad."

"Don't you fucking compare me to that ass," Haze retorts, his voice growing.

"Why did I strike a nerve?" Sky pushes again.

"Why, you little—" Haze says, barely containing his fury.

"Okay, that is enough, you two," Dylan interjects, getting between them.

"Fine, I am done with this ass for now," Sky says and walks past Haze, who clearly wants to do something. "Haze, don't," Dylan tells him, and a tense moment goes through the room until they hear the front door open and close.

"Okay, moving on, is there something that you needed help with, Haze?" Dylan asks.

"As a matter of fact, there is," he says and calms down.

"Right, I am here 'cause I need your help with something," Haze tells them.

"Of course, what is it?" Jim asks, and Haze takes his hand out of his pocket and pulls out the flask with the green powder and places it on the table, and Jim takes it up and looks at it.

"What is it?" Jim queries.

"That is what I need to find out. I found it in Blanks' possession, and it appeared to be important. So if I can figure out what it is for, then I can get one step closer to finding Laura," Haze explains.

"Not this again," Dylan says.

"She is out there," Haze spits back.

"Haze," Jim interjects, "She can't be, and you know that."

"She is," he says and looks to both of his friends. "You two are just like Alisa and Tory," he says and takes the bottle. "I will find another way then," he says and puts it into his pocket. "Don't be stupid," Dylan tells him, but Haze does not reply as he leaves the room and heads out the door.

"Haze, come back," Dylan says, but he hears the front door slam shut.

"Geez, what are we supposed to do with that guy?" Dylan utters.

"Who knows, Haze does not seem to give this a rest," Jim replies.

Haze heads out and flies off, and after a couple of hours, he lands by the base, and he opens the door, and he is met by a white shirt, and he looks up at Yami. "Where the hell have you been?" Yami asks.

"Well, I, uh, around," Haze replies, trying to hide his annoyance, and Yami looks at him for a moment and exhales smoke. "Whatever it is that you are doing, just don't be a hassle, all right," Yami tells him and walks past Haze. "Now to find my wheels, I got a match to get to," Yami mutters, and Haze lifts a brow and heads on inside.

He keeps walking the halls, getting more annoyed for every second, and he bursts into his bedroom, and he starts pacing the floor, thinking hard before he opens the drawer on his desk, and he takes out everything. ("There has to be some other kind of clue that I can go off on,") he ponders, searching the pages, demanding that they tell him something, anything, that could be of help.

Meanwhile, at the Blue Rose Knights headquarters, Lydia stretches by her desk and rubs her eyes as she looks back down at the paper on her desk. "I don't think it can even get better than this," she mutters to herself, and she hears a knock on the door.

"Oh, come on in," she replies and turns in her chair to see who is entering. She sees a dark-haired brunette peeking her head inside. "Oh, hi Selena, what is up?" Lydia asks.

"Eh, sorry to disturb you, I know that you are busy writing your speech and everything. It is just that we recently got a mission," Selena informs.

"Oh, right, I will be right with you," Lydia replies, and Selena nods and exits the room.

Lydia proceeds to look at the paper and puts it into her satchel. She takes a deep breath before she stands up and puts on her Blue Rose Knights robe before getting her broom, and soon she meets with Selena.

"So, are we ready?" Selena asks. "Yeah, hopefully, this won't be too complicated," she replies.

"Well, it is a simple patrol mission in a village near the border in the north, so I doubt it," Selena tells her, getting on her broom and beginning to float with her magic.

"Well, the first patrol mission I went on kind of got messy, and we needed immediate assistance," Lydia says, scratching the back of her neck.

"Yeah, but what are the odds of that happening again?" Selena reassures, and Lydia looks around herself. "Uh, I thought we had to be 3 people on every mission, so where is our 3rd member?" Lydia asks.

"Oh, he will be meeting us there," Selena replies as Lydia mounts her broom. "I see," Lydia says, and the two head out on their brooms and head on their way.

Later, they land in a small village on top of a hill close to the neutral zone. It has a round center in the middle surrounded by small houses.

"It is rather chilly, and the trees have changed color around here," Lydia mentions. "Yes, well, it is close to the neutral zone, so they don't get as much of the warm mana that comes from the sea near the capital," Selena utters as they dismount their brooms.

They walk a few steps and look around, and Lydia's face lights up with a smile as she sees someone familiar heading their way. She waves to the person. "Hi, Sebastian, how is it going?" she yells.

And the guy smiles. "Hi, you two, I'm good, thank you," he says and lands and dismounts his broom.

"Lydia, it has been a minute since the last time we saw each other. How have you been?" he asks.

"You know, the same old," Lydia replies, and Sebastian nods to her as he got it, and he looks to Selena.

"Oh, I have rarely ever seen you. The name is Selena," Selena introduces.

"Sebastian, nice to meet you," he says, and they shake hands, and the teens look at each other. "So, should we make a round?" Lydia mentions, and the other two agree, and so they take a stroll around chatting together, and they get to the side of the village a bit close to a cliff, and they all turn their heads as they see someone run up to them.

"Hey, stop, stand right there!" the black-haired guy yells, and so the knights stop and look at him. "What is the big deal?" Selena asks, crossing her arms as the teens stop by them.

"You are headed towards the runway!" he says as he catches his breath.

"Runway?" Sebastian asks.

"Yes, you see the stump at the end of the cliff over there?" he asks.

"Yeah?" Lydia utters.

"Well, between that one and the one right next to you is a no-go zone right now," the guy explains.

"A no-go zone?" Selena asks.

"Yes, look," he says and he points, and they see 5 people on their brooms flying at full speed past the group and keep going.

"That was the second lap," the guy utters.

"Uh, what are they doing?" Sebastian asks, adjusting his glasses.

"They are racing, of course," the guy says. "Oh, my name is Randy, by the way. It is rare that we get magic knights this far up, is rare, and even rarer with just half a month since the last time," Randy tells them.

"Half a month ago?" Selena utters.

"That was when those spectral beasts were attacking, right?" Sebastian asks.

"Yep, so what is going on this time?" Randy asks.

And the teens look at each other and at Selena, who brings the note out of her pocket. "The detail just says to patrol, nothing else," Selena explains while Lydia looks out to the open space of the sky and the hills and valleys surrounding the village, and she looks to a mountain tip in the distance, and she sees the racers on brooms head for it, and they soon disappear behind it.

"Well, regardless, I suppose it is nice that you are here. I guess the repairs are nearing completion then," he says.

"Huh, oh, that yes, I believe so. Missions regarding to help out with repair have slowed down quite a bit, and everything seems to go a bit smoother," Selena replies.

"Well, that is good to hear for the kingdom, at least."

"Hey, Randy, we will need you guys' help soon," a man yells in the distance.

"We are finishing up any moment, dad, and we will be there, dad!" Randy informs, and his father gives a thumbs up and carries a few thick logs of wood and puts them into a carrier, and he moves over to the horse in the front and leads it on its way.

"What is that about?" Lydia asks.

"Huh, oh, it is harvest season, of course, and everyone needs to help out. But the village does not want the racers to get rusty," Randy explains.

"Racers?" Sebastian queries.

"Oh, I suppose what we are doing isn't well known," he says and looks ahead. "Oh, hold that thought," he says and runs over to the log at the end of the cliff, and he picks up a branch which a green torn-up cloth has been attached to it, and he looks towards the racers heading back.

And all the knights suddenly notice something each racer has a different color on their brooms.

And the one on a green broom flies through the line first, and Randy waves the stick with the cloth.

"Whoa, they really are fast," Selena mentions, seeing the racers fly off and takes a small lap as they all slow down, and they land.

And the person with the green one lands and takes a breath as he dismounts his broom, his hair is green, and his eyes are yellow.

Next to him lands a blonde girl with green eyes and simple commoner's clothes. And she dismounts her orange broom. "Ah, I almost had you the last few moments," she says.

"Yeah, well, you sure keep me on my toes," the first one says as the rest land.

And the one with a black broom who has blue hair and green eyes takes a breath as well. "My, it is easy to see who the top flyers of Milant Village are," he says and dismounts his broom.

"You can say that again; they are crazy fast," a girl with brown hair and blue eyes says, dismounting her yellow broom.

"It was a great run," the last guy says with orange hair and grey eyes says and dismounts his blue broom.

"Well, the next competition will be in the bag, I am sure," Randy tells them.

"Yes, absolutely," the blonde one says. "We definitely have all improved," she says with a breath.

"Yes, especially Kelia and Ori," the brunette says.

"Don't make me blush, Chelsy," Kelia replies.

"Who are these?" the one with orange hair asks and looks at the knights.

"Well, Cailub, they are uh, I never got your names, sorry," Randy says and looks to the knight.

"Oh, my name is Lydia, and the girl next to me is Selena, and we are from the Blue Rose Knights, and the guy next to us is Sebastian from the Green Praying Mantis," Lydia introduces.

"Oh, nice to meet you; my name is Kelia," the blonde replies. "And the girl next to me is Chelsy, and the winner of this round is Ori, and the one with orange hair over there is Cailub, and the one with blue hair is Mandy," Kelia introduces them all.

"Well, we better be off; our parents need us," Randy tells them. "Right," Ori replies, and the group begins to walk, and the knights walk beside them.

"So, you are racing each other?" Sebastian queries.

"Oh, right, I was going to explain that this village, Milant Village, as well as Sorgy and Huze village, kind of hold a yearly competition," Randy explains.

"Competition?" Selena asks.

"Yes, at the end of harvest every year, the 3 villages meet in a wide open field, bringing plenty of the harvest, and we trade wares for wares and what we need with each other, and we negotiate, and the elders tally up the produce and try to plan for how to make it to the winter and how much we dare to sell to the commoner realm and nearby villagers," Cailub tells them.

"Trade produce for produce; don't you just use money?" Lydia asks.

"Huh, oh, well, on certain things we do, on items that are hard to come by if we really need them, such as tools and sometimes leather and metal, but like every village, we try to not use money, as we might need it if something breaks apart, or we run low on food," Mandy tells them.

"I suppose that kind of thing is more common in the forsaken realm," Sebastian mentions, and Lydia and Selena look at each other. "I never heard of it," Lydia says.

"Oh, you must be a noble then, miss," Chelsy utters.

"Yes, we both are," Selena chimes in.

And the commoners look at each other, not sure how to take it that nobles have so much money that never thought of any other way to do trade.

"Well, that aside, we meet, and the adults have a few drinks, and the kids play together, and we teens do a race that they all witness, and whichever village wins gets to keep a copper plaque where we engrave the year and which village won that year, and this year that plaque is ours for sure," Kelia says eagerly. "You bet," Ori says, and the two high-five.

("Commoners seem to have so many ways to add fun to their lives despite them having so little food that they are all so skinny and work so hard that they all have marks on their hands from the work,") Lydia thinks to herself, remembering the speech in her pocket, ("Meanwhile, the nobles worry about whether they look good or not,") she thinks to herself.

As the group continues to move forward, Selena queries, "If I may ask, where did you get your brooms in different colors like you guys have?"

"Oh, well, Randy is the one who made it happen," Kelia replies, pointing her thumb at Randy. The group turns to look at him.

"Yeah, I have decoration magic, and so far I can change colors of objects," Randy explains.

"Oh, well, that is neat?" Lydia says, not sure what to think of it.

"Well, I know it doesn't do much and it doesn't last forever, but it is something, I suppose. I have managed to have fun with it, though," Randy says with a smile.

"Yeah, and you have fooled us all with it at some point," Ori replies.

"What? How so?" Sebastian asks.

"Well, he has changed the color of his face slightly and made himself look sick to get out of work," Cailub says, and the others share a knowing look.

"Yeah, and I remember when you changed the color of all the crops, making everyone freak out that there was something wrong with the entire harvest," Ori says, and Randy starts laughing.

"It was not funny! You had the whole village worried and freaking out; we all thought that we would starve!" Cailub points out.

"It's fine; I haven't done it since. Besides, I got my share of scolding from everyone," Randy says.

"Yeah, well, it's a funny story now, I suppose," Chelsy mentions.

"Definitely," Ori replies.

"Now he only does smaller pranks like changing the color of the laundry randomly and such," Randy adds.

"Yes, I have changed my ways," Randy says with a hint of irony in his voice.

The teens move along and chat for a while. Meanwhile, Lydia keeps thinking about the speech she is supposed to perform and the gathering that will happen soon, reminding herself of the pressure.

"You guys should come," Kelia asks, dragging Lydia out of her thoughts. Her attention returns to the group. "I do not know if we will be able to. You see, we don't exactly get to choose where we are sent on missions," Sebastian tells them.

"Aww, well, if you do get the chance to drop by, please do. It would be fun if we got more villages into racing," Ori tells them.

"Well, it certainly sounds like a lot of fun," Selena mentions.

As the teens go to aid the villagers and the knights walk about patrolling, Selena notices Lydia seeming lost in thought. "Is there something on your mind?" Selena asks.

"Huh, oh, well, it's just the speech I am supposed to hold. This time of year is always such a hassle, but especially since..." Lydia's words trail off, and Selena catches her. "You are worried about the speech," Selena asks.

"Why, yes, my family is insisting that it is my turn, and since I got my grimoire, the expectations to excel and to represent the house well have increased greatly," Lydia explains.

"I see. Sadly, I can't relate. My family does not have enough relevance for people to really care what we do," Selena says.

"I suppose being under that much constant pressure must be exhausting," Sebastian tells them.

"I will be happy to listen to your speech if you need to practice performing it," Selena offers.

"Thank you, Selena, really," Lydia says and reaches into her pocket. "I suppose I can read what I have so far," she asks.

"Certainly, I mean, patrolling isn't all that eventful to begin with usually," Selena says.

"Right," Lydia says and clears her throat, beginning to read, with her friends helping her out.

The day presses on, and the knights split ways with the teens as the teens begin to help out the rest of the village with the harvesting. They patrol around until the sun is about to set on the horizon. The knights watch the villagers working in the field from a distance, and they see them all gather and chat before they walk separate ways and begin to yell Mandy's name.

"Uh, is something going on?" Sebastian asks.

"Definitely," Lydia replies, and they all run toward Calib.

Moments later, they run up to Calib. "Hey, what is going on?" Selena asks as they approach him.

"Well, Mandy went to get water for us a while ago and hasn't returned. It shouldn't take this long, even if he is messing around," Calib explains. The knights look at each other and at Calib. "We will help you guys look," Lydia tells him.

"Good, we will need to check near the river, as that is where he went to," Calib informs them. The knights nod in agreement and determination.

The teens run into the woods and begin to yell Mandy's name. They keep going for quite a while, and the darkening sky does not aid their endeavor in finding Mandy, but they keep going regardless.

They keep yelling until Sebastian spots something in the distance. "Selena, Lydia, I think I see something!" Sebastian yells, and the girls head in his direction, following his ember flame.

Once Lydia and Selena catch up and see up close what is laying on the ground, they both gasp.

"He...?" Selena asks as Sebastian checks Mandy's pulse and senses for mana. "There are no life signs," Sebastian says, and the girls look at each other in horror. "Who could have done this? I mean, there is zero sign of any form of trauma; it is like he just keeled over," Sebastian says.

"Yes, and the river isn't that far away, so if a battle happened, we would have been able to sense it," Lydia mentions. "I know, right?" Selena adds.

"Did he die of something natural?" Selena asks, and Sebastian looks around.

"Well, where is his bucket?" Sebastian asks.

"Bucket?" Lydia queries.

"Yes, if he went to get water and he suddenly dropped dead, then his bucket would be right on top or near him, and there is no hill for it to run down right here," Sebastian mentions. The girls look at each other and around them. "I do not see it anywhere," Selena says.

"Me neither," Lydia adds.

The teens hear one of the villagers yell Mandy's name. "Over HERE!" Lydia yells, and a moment later, Ori and Kelia run up to them, and they stop in surprise upon seeing the dead body on the ground. "Oh no, what... what the hell happened?" Ori asks.

"We do not know. It is like he keeled over, but if that is the case, the bucket should be here, but it isn't," Sebastian says, explaining the situation once again. They all share worried glances, and Kelia starts to walk around to look for it. "He is a bit away from the river, too."

"Hey!" they hear a man yell, and the teens look at each other. "I will carry him," Ori says, and Sebastian helps. They move toward the river.

They walk up to the man who yelled, and he looks in horror. "What the... no!" he says worriedly and walks over to grab Mandy's dead body as his eyes begin to water. "N-no, Mandy," he says with shaky breath, "not my son," and goes to his knees with his son in his arms. He holds back his tears that eventually force their way out.

Lydia turns her face and looks around herself, seeing people gathering, and one by one, their looks turn from confusion to sadness as they realize that Mandy is dead.

Sebastian looks at the bucket laying on the ground with water spilled around it, as it is clearly dropped hastily. He looks into the woods; it is quite a distance to drop the bucket from where they found the body. He then looks back to Mandy in his father's arms and notices something on his neck. He leans in closer and takes a step closer, and the father looks at Sebastian, slightly confused by what Sebastian may be looking at. "What is that, sir?" he asks, pointing. The father looks with a question at Sebastian. "Sorry, but on the back of Mandy's neck, is that a birthmark or something else?" Sebastian asks, and the father looks with confusion. He kneels down further and places his son on the ground, tilting his head forward to see. "That is not a birthmark," the father says.

"No, but it is definitely a symbol," Sebastian says and brings out his notepad and pen, drawing down a circle with two lines on all four sides of it with two unreadable letters next to each line.

Sebastian notes it down and looks to the father. "Is it from a spell, you think?" Lydia asks.

"I do not know. I will have to bring it to headquarters," Sebastian replies.

"Wait, you mean to say someone is behind this?" the father asks.

"I believe so, sir," Sebastian replies, and the man wipes his tears. "Then find him, figure out what the symbol means, and find whoever did this," the father demands. "We will, sir," Selena says.

"We will search the woods," a villager suggests.

"No, if this was done by a foreign entity, then it is unwise to go stumbling around in the dark, sir."

"Then how do we suggest finding the individual?" the villager says.

"We can take a look around. It is unnecessary for the village to risk their lives on this," Sebastian suggests.

"Sebastian is correct, and we have a symbol to go on. If we can gather intel on it, we may discover the culprit who did this," Lydia reassures.

The villagers look to each other. "Let us hold the funeral for tonight," a lady says, and the rest agrees quietly. Soon, the villagers head on their way, and the teens are left to look around, and so they do for a good while. "We have searched everywhere and we do not find anything. We will not find him; there is no trace, no mana signature, nothing," Selena says.

"Yes, and it has gotten really dark, even with Sebastian's embers. We won't find anything," Lydia adds.

"Yes, you are right. We should get this to HQ and explain everything and that this will need closer investigation,"

Sebastian says, and so the teens go to the village. They arrive in time to witness the burial and explain everything to the villagers. They also mention that they will most likely be visited by the Magic Knights more in the future, as they would like to keep an eye out for whoever did this.
