Albus Dumbledore hated to admit that he was no longer a young lad. But one works with the strong points and magic eases on the weaker points. Fawkes was good for taking him anyplace he desired and the bird didn't fail. He could take him away from Hogwarts and that was it. His clothes, his books, his old wand and his lemon drops anything else. Such as the Pensieve, his throne, the Wand of Destiny and the Cloak of invisibility had stayed, no thanks to those ungrateful house-elves and their head Elf Pappy. Who cares if they originally belonged to Harry's family. Harry was not aware, and that worked for Albus.

He knocked on the Weasley's door. It was a Monday. Arthur was probably at work. Molly walked to the door and gave Albus the dirtiest look. He wished he could roll his eyes at her contempt. But, he would punish her only after she needed another favour.

"Molly, good morning," Albus Greeted.

Retorted Matron Weasley. "Mr. Dumbledore."

He almost stuttered. The famous Prewett contempt. He felt just like a child. Still, he insisted.

"I wonder if Arthur is still at home?" asked Albus.

"I read the Quibbler. I was so angry about the lies published there, but the Lovegoods moved in the Summer. I knew Pandora was odder than her husband and child. However, in the Quibbler they made a list of all the light families and how they died for the greater good. I did remember you using that phrase back at one of the Order meetings. I denied it. For sometime I couldn't believe it, my brothers, tell me right now? Tell me, did they die for the greater good, the same phrase that Grindelwald used back in the great war? Were we anything other than pawns to you, and your so called GREATER GOOD!?" hissed Molly.

"Molly dear, what, oh, Mr. Dumbledore," said Arthur.

Albus never thought he would witness frosty behaviour from Arthur or that he would see Molly shaking and her face stained with silent tears of rage. Only one other person had ever started down at Albus, just before breaking his nose, his brother Aberforth.

Arthur said, "I'm a Weasley, yes, but I'm also a Black, my mother Cedrella was a Black, you betrayed my family, please, stay away from us. You already caused enough grief, to my family and my wife's family. Good day," added the Patriarch of the Weasley family and closed the door to the once prominent Wizard.

If there was something Albus hated more than bad publicity, it was anonymity. He always believed that he was going to die in such a dramatic way, that he would leave people feeling the emptiness after he was gone.

He made it his mission to always shine. At first because he was a prodigy. Next because he was a tragic figure. Then he was a mystery and ultimately because he was a hero. Yes, there was no room in his life for boring or invisible.

He hated the fact that his father was so much like Aberforth, both loyal, both violent both resentful and both forgettable. His mother Kendra, now that was an impressive woman. So fierce, protective and ambitious. Those were the traits that could make his family stand out. But then his father lost his way. Lost sight of his common sense and punished those stupid children. Albus never forgave his father for being so stupidly loving to his sister Ariana, and that he could think so little of the consequences. How miserable their life became after he was imprisoned in Azkaban. How ostracised the family turned after they were branded stupid. No, not half-bloods, just stupid. For getting caught in the revenge from a magical against muggle children. Albus hated the chastisement the family received from the wizarding community. However, he had to support his brother, and his mother Kendra began suffering from her health. Mrs. Dumbledore was unable to cope. Losing her husband was too much. She tried, but she barely made ends meet. Albus was still too young. Abe was younger and Ari was invalid. To be the man of that household was something he didn't ask for nor he was prepared to do. His mother passed away and Abeforth was in Hogwarts. Then he met Gellert. Met the love of his life. Had an ephemeral affair. An affair that burned brightly and by the end the two were devastated. Then a fight and Ariana got in the middle and then Ariana was gone and Gellert was out the door.

He swore to himself to never feel for anyone else. At least not for the greater good. Bathilda had seen his failed relationship with Gellert and she had kept quiet. The Quibbler began publishing real content. Then Bathilda was interviewed and the nails in his coffin began to hammer the last of his public career.

Albus needed to find a solution. Then he recalled Tom's orphanage and how he took the kids to a nearby sea cave. He needed to investigate if the cave could have a Horcrux. He just had to know, having no one to talk to was less bearable than he recalled.

Hedwig was restless, and Crookshanks stared at the Owl he said. " You are needed elsewhere? I thought the Monkey with the specs was your human? "

Hedwig replied, " You know very well that we belong to only ourselves and we chose to accompany magical children, gifted children. One other child requires my favour. "

Crookshanks blinked and began licking his paw. Then he added, " Fine, I will help you, but only because I share the burden of caring for the little magicals ."

The feline jumped and opened the window and turned to the female owl. " There you are, now, I like grateful birds, so bring me a rat, or vole if you happen to catch one. "

Hedwig jumped and took flight, not before saying," You remind me of a goblin, but fine, I'll see what I can get you. "

Crookshanks rolled his eyes and added, " You don't need to be insulting, but yes, you're welcome. "
