I Don't Own Fnaf
The business loan had almost been too easy to take out, it made Mike feel almost uneasy about it, a lifetime of experiences when it came to easy money putting him on edge for the cost of doing business with the bank, but it was a small loan, just enough to cover the distance that they had already been spending months working on covering. The paper work, finding of a good deal, and a van that would suit all their needs had been left to both Fritz and Jeremy.
Fritz because he knew what would be needed the best for transporting incredibly heavy machinery all over the place without issue, and Jeremy because Jeremy was terrifying. Sure, Mike liked to think he was pretty damn good at being able to sniff out lies and deceptions, his intuition was probably one of his best traits, but Jeremy not only had him beat there in all regards, but was a frankly terrifying person to negotiate with, given he knew exactly how much he could push at all times to get what he wanted.
Mike was genuinely relieved that the shorter man was as kind and nice as he was, Mike couldn't imagine just what a person with that kind of ability with, say, Mike's old, or even current if he was being honest with himself, morals would have been able to do. The idea of an evil Jeremy in politics for example made the man shudder in dread just to think about.
So, yeah, the van situation was hopefully going to be sorted out and handled within the next few days, maybe even soon given just how much effort the two men were putting into finding something perfect within their budget... That did nothing to stop the issue that was happening right this moment. It was early in the morning, and they had a party in just a few hours.
Mike wasn't too worried about it, he trusted his performers, though one of them, at least the one he kept the most eye on, Mari, was in quite the state. Mike found the puppet almost frantically moving back and forth in the kitchen, a perfect and decorated cake with the name of the birthday boy already written across it in flourishing light green frosting resting out on the table ready to go. It was inviting, frankly Mike was beginning to think his puppet had made him a sugar addict, another reason why he wanted to start exercising more actively soon in spite of his naturally lean figure, but it was clear the puppet himself was nervous.
"String for your thoughts?" Mari paused, if only just to send the man a look, Mike just tilted his head, waiting patiently, as Mari continued to stare back before finally breaking with a lightly frustrated chime to punctuate his following words.
"I want you to know that was bad" Mike just smirked in amusement, before quickly the puppet continued, casually speaking his issue, "I don't know, just... I've never performed outside before. Never even outside of a pizzeria"
"You've done routines at the warehouse" Mari just waved him off.
"That's just practice, this is different" Mike just shrugged, he wasn't much for performing, no matter what Foxy said, so he didn't really know how it was different, but he just went with it.
"I suppose, it'll be fine though, you'll be brilliant no matter what happens" That got a pleasing to the ear, embarrassed chime from the puppet.
"Mike... I think your bias is showing" He gave an unapologetic shrug.
"No, me being bias is me saying you're perfect and I can't wait to see what you're going to do" Mari was too busy hiding his face in his hands, an embarrassed smile on his face with that trilling sound that Mike loved to hear more and more as the days went on, that he didn't notice Mike moving a bit closer, close enough to pull the puppet in, just because he could, still just relishing in the way Mari immediately sunk into the touch instead of pulling away like he had barely even a week before.
"You'll be fine, it'll go the same as it always does, with you and Foxy giving those kids the best party you can. The stage doesn't matter because you two are the heart of the performance right?" Marionette tensed in his arms, lightly, just enough to be noticeable, as the puppet asked.
"I-.. Where did you hear that?" Mike paused, the conversation shift from comfort to something random was a bit surprising, as the puppet slowly pulled back, looking a bit confused, as Mike just answered.
"It was something of a saying at the Diner, I have no idea who said it first, but it was back when people wore suits to perform... Why do you ask?"
"Because... Because I'm sure I've heard that before" ...Huh.
"You were around for the Diner" Mari just slowly shrugged, looking a bit hapless and unsure.
"Maybe? I- I never felt like I recognized the Cove though"
"Maybe you weren't around it a lot, or maybe it'll come back now? I mean, Foxy didn't recognize the place either, and he was dragged there often enough by his brother I'm sure" Mari just slowly nodded, a furrowing looking face pulling onto his mask, as Mike continued to say quickly, "Well, it's another clue at the very least, that's something we can work with right?" That seemed to make the puppet feel a bit better as he nodded.
"Right" Satisfied that the puppet seemed now more comforted with the clue than disturbed with how much he was probably only just now realizing he was missing, Mike immediately went back to what he was doing.
"Anyways, back to the more important matter" Mari tensed back, just for a second remembering his anxiety from moments before, only to be undercut by Mike's next words, "You're amazing and nothing will go wrong... and if it does, then I'll push Fritz into the table holding the cake so you can escape before anyone notices" Mari laughed before he could get flustered, a shame. Mike wasn't much of a flirt, but he had to admit, he liked to play up the compliments to see Mari's reactions, they were always cute.
Much like the puppet.
Mike should find a way to work that into a conversation.
Admittedly, there was no doubt in Mike's mind that they looked the opposite of professional. Given they didn't have the van just yet, it meant that Mike had to drive the animatronics there in his own car like he had been doing for a while now, which meant that Foxy was just hold up in the back seat, being nice enough to not shatter Mike's car's suspension by not bouncing his legs as the others in the car knew the anxious fox wanted to. While to Foxy's left was a large gift box that currently held Mari, given they probably would have a witness or two at least during the set up, wherever that was, meaning he had to start in his box.
Then there was Fritz, who was in the passenger seat, crunched up with a small gift box by his feet that held a free piece of merchandise from the Cove picked by the puppet, and the covered sheet cake crammed into his lap. To top it all off, in the car's trunk was a dolly that they would be using to get Foxy out of Mike's car. Needless to say, it was painfully obvious that this was a rushed job, but given they quite literally only had a single day to think of just how they were going to manage this, Mike figured it could be worse. It'd be awkward for sure, but he didn't really care that much with the promise of the paycheck at the end of this ordeal.
With the extra charge for doing a house call, along with upselling each animatronic performer just a bit as a package deal, they were making about as much as three normal parties, or nearly twice as the private ones they did during the first and last Mondays of the month. Which was something they sorely needed. So without a hint of shame, he and Fritz, as they pulled up alongside the road to a house that already had a small number of cars parked around it, moved to get Foxy onto the dolly with as least amount of fumbling as possible.
Mike admittedly did a fair portion of the work, Fritz got the dolly out and in position, but to anyone watching, it was kind of clear Mike would be the one who'd be capable of moving a several hundred pound fox, not that Fritz was some skin and bones man, but on first impression... Still, Mike wasn't that strong, the fox moved with him for most of the way, it was just a convincing showing of someone moving him that was really needed. From there, once Foxy was 'secured', Fritz was the one who rolled him off to the house, having been told to set up in the backyard, where the party itself was going to be held, probably to keep the amount of screaming and running about kids to a minimum on the inside to prevent any damage.
As a business owner who's main income came from giving kids sugar rushes, Mike understood all too well the want to keep them away from anything fragile or valuable.
With that in mind, Mike moved over to the other side before pulling it open, as he gave a light tap to the side of the box, waiting a moment to hear a faint tap back, before moving to pick up the prize box, with the puppet inside, all at once. The box was a bit unwieldy, but it wasn't that big, and Mari wasn't that heavy, so he carefully moved forwards, making a note to himself to come back after setting the puppet down to get the cake and gift bag from the car. If Jeremy was here that would have been his job, but they didn't really need all three of them for this, not to mention they kind of ran out of room in the car and it seemed a bit much to take two cars for this.
Still, Mike could not wait until they had that van, then they could finally start getting things done, Fritz had said nearly all of the machines that they had found at AR were basically brand new and would be perfect for using at the Cove, which was incredible news, even if Mike felt something in the back of his head about how convenient all of this was, but then again, with just how much wreckage they had from the train wreck that was Freddy's and everything around it, maybe it wasn't that surprising to have this much stuff to scavenge through.
Made him feel a bit like a vulture though... Then again, that wasn't anything that new, so with that in mind, he set down Mari next to a table that was set up already with a number of party favors and other kind of items to keep the kids entertained, as Fritz managed, with a faint wheeze to push Foxy up next to the box as well, giving Mike a look that told him they were switching who carried who on the way out. But that was for later, so Mike just sent a smirk at the man as he went to get the other things left in his seat while Fritz found someone to talk to to let the parents know they were here.
All in all, time began to pass by faster after that, within the hour the guests had all shown up, and while it was clear to those in the know that Foxy seemed fairly nervous as well, he made up for it with energy once his time finally came. Mari made an appearance soon after, providing the music for Foxy's most recent song, something about a raven guiding him to the land of something or other. Mike was honestly mostly just watching Mari, who was slightly swaying in his box, not being able to do much without a cross above him, but the light dance and the beautiful chimes of his music box was more than enough to hold the man's attention.
Mari seemed to take a moment to get into it as well, but he seemed to fall into rhythm quickly, focusing on the kids in front of him watching in awe at the dancing puppet and singing fox, instead of the environment itself.
It did make Mike a bit more aware of just how much Mari loved to look around and out of the windows the few times they had to drive long distances, mostly during that situation with Gasper and his weird bots... Maybe they could do something in the future where he'd be able to help Mari do something akin to sightseeing. It sounded like a nice idea, just... not one Mike could really think too hard on, not yet, not with everything going on, but unlike how it used to be, Mike could make plans for the future without feeling like he was lying to himself in some way. It was a nice feeling.
The party went by fairly quickly all things considered, or maybe Mike was just so used to just seeing parties happening nowadays that they all blended together enough that they went by in a blur. Either way, by the time it was time to pack up, Mike was very glad to accept the check and made sure to remember the praise that the mother who he had talked to on the phone, dumped onto him, so he could repeat the kind words to the two that actually deserved to hear it.
Fritz, being the sneak he was, had left him with Foxy, who was nice enough to move to the dolly himself when no one was watching, while he took the puppet, box and all, back to the car with a bit of struggle. Mike just rolled his eyes before moving behind to move Foxy... Admittedly he was one of the heavier things that the man had to lift in recent times, but it wasn't that bad, even if there was a fair strain in his arms, but that was more from the long gashes on them that were still in bandages just in case the cuts split back open on accident. It had only been about a week since the incident and sadly people don't heal that quickly.
It was a pain, but one he dealt with, without any mention, as he moved Foxy back into the seat he had been in before on the way there, ignoring with now trained ignorance of the way his car sunk a noticeable amount at the sudden influx of weight, before moving over to put the dolly up. Another reason he was very happy to be finally getting the van, even if he was not particularly feeling grand about having things to pay back, he trusted things would work out.
For right now, he had some people to drop off, Foxy was going back to the warehouse, while he, Fritz, and Mari were going to the Cove, given that's where they met up so that's where Fritz's car was, as well as Mike needed to drop off the prize box that Mari was current inside still, given there wasn't much room for him anywhere else in the car.
Didn't stop him from beginning to talk about what the woman had said, watching the way Foxy lit up with pride and the sounds of cheerfully bright chimes coming from the box.
Mike had a smile for the rest of the drive, it was a good day, he knew it wouldn't go bad but... It was nice to see it in action, to have these moments when things were tough. They could definitely get through this.
"Yah should have seen me! I had them on the ropes the entire time! My story of my grand sailing through the harsh winds of the west skies had them all in shock!" Goldie had been listening to Foxy go on about the party for about... forty minutes now? He didn't mind surprisingly enough, usually he found himself worn down by Foxy's energy, at least he was when he was constantly subjected to it over and over without a chance to recover, but he found himself mostly just letting the words flow over him, nodding occasionally, and watching the fox with his restored energy more than anything.
"When I pulled out the mention of the dreaded Sea Bonnies the gasps and the shock! I held them by the point of me hook!" Foxy was... looser, not as tense as strange as it sounded for a robot, but it was true. He had been... forcing himself to be the same over the last few days, Goldie wasn't sure quite if he had really noticed it before now, but seeing just how he was now, it was very clear that the energy the fox had from doing what he loved was a massive stress reliever off the animatronic's shoulders with everything that had been happening. Maybe because it was something Foxy could do, the fox clearly had issues with not being helpful in some way.
Maybe he could talk to Michael about getting a few more parties lined up like this while they worked on replacing all the broken parts from the Cove. Though from what he had been told, it would hopefully only take two or three days of work once the van situation was sorted out... His thoughts were interrupted with the sudden laugh from the fox as he switched to something else, his voice not quite as rakish as it normally was, his accent faded a bit to show the teen beneath.
He'd mention it to Mike anyways even if nothing came of it.
Fritz and Jeremy were at the third dealership of the day, they had called ahead, but it turns out most of the time, that the person on the other end just could only check the model, not really the condition, which mean that they needed to go out and inspect the vans to see just what condition the used vehicles were in when they were being sold. They had already picked out what kind of van they wanted, or at least the model, which was one that would have plenty of room in the back for from what Fritz had measured from their research at least six Goldies along with still some small space extra for minor equipment, and could carry up to seven Foxys in weight before being strained, which was easily the strangest units of measurement the technician had ever used, but it was how he had to judge these things, and more importantly, it worked.
The main thing as well was beyond the weight capacity and space in the back, was the fact that the model they were looking for didn't have side doors, only the pair of doors in the back which also had a built in slope that could be deployed for things to be rolled on it for loading and unloading, and nearly the most importantly, there was no side windows at all, which meant it was be much harder for anyone to be able to sneak a peak in the back for what was being transported, an important feature given the sentient animatronics that would be riding in the back.
It was mostly ideal, the only real problems was the cost and that given it was an equipment van, it only had two proper seats, but Fritz himself figured he could set up something in the back for extra seating in the back, which he was sure the animatronics wouldn't mind the idea of either given sitting on the floor of a moving vehicle didn't sound like a great idea. While that first thing... Well, that was the reason they were looking into buying one that had been sold back for whatever reason. It would probably mean there were things about the van that they would have to fix, but that was fine if they could just get the damn thing.
Fritz wasn't all that certain this would be the time that they managed to get what they were after, but Jeremy was as optimistic as ever, which certainly kept the older of the two's mood from getting to low, even if he was tired of driving all round the state trying to find what they were looking for. This was the second day of checking places out already, and if it took much more then he would begin to think that Mike purposely gave them this task not because Mike wasn't qualified to look into it, but because he just didn't want to deal with how annoying used car shopping was.
All the same, it had to be done, and the sooner the much better, so the two men walked into the dealership, only one of them all that pleasant, but Fritz's slightly more harsh attitude was broken down into bits as the two were finally walked out to the van itself. He had thought it would have been in near pieces given they had been walked out to the back where normally the storage was or where vehicles that were so busted up they couldn't be on the lot because it decreased the face value of the others, but instead he just stared at the thing in front of him while Jeremy let out an awkward laugh.
"Well... That explains why they said it was unsightly" Fritz just kept staring at it, before feeling a smile pull on his face.
"It's perfect"
"Uh, but-"
"It's not in more than one piece, and we happen to know someone who can fix the... issue" Jeremy slowly blinked, before suddenly realizing just what Fritz had in mind, as Jeremy just let out a faint huff, giving the man a look, but perhaps the blond hadn't been quite as optimistic and unbothered as Fritz had thought about the two days of running around, as Jeremy shot a smile back.
"I mean, it's only fair"
Needless to say, they bought the van.
Mike... felt his eye twitch, just a bit, as he looked at the monstrosity in front of him.
The not so subtle choked laughs from his 'friends' made his other eye twitch.
"I-... I don't even know what I'm looking at" He really didn't, the van... used to be white... Or at least Mike was pretty sure that's what it used to be, it was hard to tell under all of the... glitter. This had to be a safety hazard of some kind right? Who even made glitter based car paint anyways? And why do... this with it?
"We'll leave you to it then so you can figure it out" Mike was tempted to tell them to stay and help... But they had found the van, and he would have had to do something like this always, so in the end he just let out a deep sigh as he looked at the painful mix of colors that decorated nearly every aspect of the van's exterior that he would have to try and salvage.
Realistically it wasn't that bad, he'd have to get the layer of paint already on it off to get to the base layer, and then just get some supplies for cars and then he could do some designs to put on the side of the van to be able to show it off as both the company van, as well as for just free advertising, given just how often he had a feeling the thing would be driven around town to move a certain fox around to visit the warehouse inhabitant.
But that realistic mindset didn't stop the fact that until he got the... stuff off the van to get it back to its base coat, he'd have to actually look at the damnable sight before him in the meantime. If it wouldn't be more expensive than it was worth to to send it to a shop to get the wrongness in front of him fixed, then he would have just done that, but as it was, he could do it for a fraction of the cost given he wouldn't have to pay for the man hours... or the therapy bills that would no doubt follow.
With a sigh, he spent one last glorious moment of not having to look at the 'project' in front of him, before turning to it, and getting to work. At least Mari will like helping him come up with ideas for the decals.
Two days later, twelve days in total after the Shadow Bonnie Incident, and they were finally able to properly get to work.
And work they did, over the following week there wasn't a moment when someone wasn't doing something. Mike had taken Foxy and Goldie to help him move things in and out of the newly refurbished van. Now painted back to a nice, not painful to look at, white, with a large cartoon caricature of Foxy on the sides, of which the fox only slightly complained about it being too 'cute' though the fact that he was actively busy preening over having his face on a car meant Mike figured it wasn't that big of a deal, along with a few other minor details, like their contact information on the back two doors, and other smaller little drawings, like a certain puppet's gift box and a bunch of pizzas and cakes.
The two animatronics helped out a ton in being able to move the incredibly heavy equipment from AR into the van and then unload it into the warehouse, where Fritz found himself staying essentially day and night, looking them all over just to make sure they were all in working order. From there it was more driving and off loading, taking the broken down machines and broken parts from the Cove and getting them placed back into the warehouse as well, so there was space for the new equipment, which was a whole thing to manage. Mike's eyes felt like they were going to fall out of his head with how much strain they were dealing with, with just how many hours daily he was spending on the road.
And then there was Jeremy and Mari, who both had basically taken to taking over the advertising of the Cove so people remembered that they existed when their doors finally opened up again. The two brainstormed ideas, pestered Mike to make posters and flyers, as well as a fairly large door sign to put on the front of the Cove, showing a cartoonish Foxy wearing a hardhat, a toolbelt on his was it, and a hammer for a hand instead of a hook, with the message 'Renovations Undergoing', along with a number to learn more details.
The biggest effort into that manner however happened to come from not a particularly unlikely source, but one the group had admittedly forgotten about in the throes of dealing with just about everything else. Janet, and her mother Carol, the gossip who probably knew everyone in Hurricane with how many people she seemed to talk to on a daily basis.
It was probably a minor miracle that Carol hadn't busted down Mike's door demanding for him to spill the tea. Though perhaps not one, as it seemed Janet had been managing damage control with her family in the meantime, something he was very grateful for, given Mike had no doubt he'd be the one who'd have to answer those questions, and as it stood, he was just... tired.
But with Carol 'on the team' as so-to-speak as she could be, it was suddenly not an issue to have someone be able to put word out about the Cove's situation, or at least the one that they had come up with to keep the idea of a violent break-in on the downlow as much as possible, given that it was a place for children to come and have fun, and any word of it being unsafe would tank their reputation so fast that they might as well rebrand to Freddy's version two afterwards given that's no doubt what everyone would see them as.
So that was about as handled as it could be with Janet making sure her mother didn't go too far with spreading just how... whatever they were that the woman would like to say. Mike didn't really know what, he wasn't much for gossip, but the help was certainly nice. Either way, everything was slowly coming together, Fritz mentioned it should only take another two or three days before they'd be good to go to open up their doors again, and that was mostly just to get some people to finally deal with the broken window.
Apparently none of the machines had a single thing wrong with them, all passing with flying colors after a bit of troubleshooting by Fritz, it was like they were brand new, which given what they knew, there was a solid chance that was the case. At most they'd only have been used for a few days at most. They even got a few more conventional things found in arcade-like places out of it beyond the arcade machines, like a claw machine which was now loaded with the more common plushie and a basketball hoop machine. Along with other nice quality of life stuff, like a new sound system and better stage lights that Fritz spent most of his barely open free time working on replacing the old one with.
That had been a pain.
Right now however there wasn't much they could do until someone came out and replaced it, but in the meantime, they had set up a thick curtain that covered the opening, it was actually another replacement item given they already had to put curtains up to keep anyone from peaking in after or before open hours, so no one would see a surprisingly talkative fox or floating puppet.
The only downside of this method was even if they were through the half-way point of summer, it was still hot out, and they'd probably bankrupt themselves if they tried to beat out the outside heat with the air conditioning in the Cove, so the men all just suffered through it. The 'perks' of living in a desert.
Either way, it was the middle of the afternoon, they had been working all day, and as such felt like gross sweaty messes, but they were making great progress, just as soon as the window was put in and Mike got to stencil some art onto it to give it the 'Foxy Flare' whatever that meant, though according to the fox himself it was very important, then they'd be able to open the Cove's doors once more.
Mike himself was about to head to the kitchen to grab a few water bottles from the fridge for everyone, maybe toss a bag of chips at Jeremy, when there was a knock at the front of the Cove. Mike blinked around the same time everyone else's eyes turned to look at the out of place sound. Glancing back at them all, Mike waved off Mari who just nodded and quickly and quietly floated over towards the Prize Corner, just in case it was the window people and they needed to come in. Though Mike doubted it given he figured they would have called.
Thankfully Mari was not only the most quiet of the animatronic bunch of the group, but also the only one here currently with Goldie and Foxy on Bonnie watch still, so once the puppet was out of sight, he moved over to the door, which the windows on it also happened to have a curtain that blocked out the outside world, they were all the same purple starry patterns that was found on the Cove's stage, and pulled it open to reveal-
"Charlie?" The teenager in question gave him an awkward, almost pained, smile, it had been a bit since they had talked last, but she hadn't really come to the Cove itself in ages now. Mike was pretty sure she didn't like the pain of seeing it as something else, and yet here she was. He, mostly out of one of the many concerning habits of blocking 'incriminating' scenes, leaned his body half into the doorway, using his size to block her from seeing past him, and said simply, "Hey, I wasn't expecting you to show up. Did I miss a call?"
She just shook her head, but Mike noticed the ways her eyes slightly strained for a moment to try and peer around him, but he was holding the door close to his side, lean or not, she wasn't seeing around him, and she'd have to grow over a full foot in height to see over his head. Still, no reason to concern her as he said with a shrug at the obvious question on her face.
"Doing some renovations, place is a bit of a mess, but we'll be back in working order within the next few days"
"R-right, I, uh, saw the poster" She pointed to the door itself, which even at this angle, Mike could easily see his own handy work placed on it. "I was wondering if I could look around? You mentioned before about wondering if I could work here?" Mike... paused, something itching in the back of his mind over that, she had no interest the first time around, and now...
"I mean, you can walk around if you want, but we filled the staff position and with closing down for the last while and getting new stuff in, it's going to be a while before I can afford to take on another employee" It was a miracle he could still pay his employees in general, though given just how hands off he was with the numbers, it was more like Jeremy was a miracle worker, making sure they all still had enough to live for the next month. Mike really appreciated that man.
Either way, Charlie seemed to... not be disappointed but something else, it was a weird conflict, like she was fighting between being relieved and something else at not getting the position, along with… something else hidden beneath the two. It was clear she hadn't really wanted to work here, so the question out of left field was strange as he found himself frowning and asking with a hint of concern lacing his voice.
"Did something happen with your job? If you need mon-" Charlie waved him off quickly, a look of surprise on her face.
"No! No, nothing like that" Mike just slowly nodded, a small bit relieved given he didn't exactly have much he could spare, even if he would still try, but a much larger part of him growing steadily more concerned, something was wrong though he hadn't a clue as to what. So with a frown marring his face with concern, he asked softly.
"Alright, just... What's up then? You're not in trouble right?" Maybe it was hypocritical, but Mike knew exactly what he himself got up to when he was Charlie's age. She was smarter than him though, so he trusted her to keep herself out of trouble that he walked himself right into. But if something did happen... Well, the less said the better.
"No, of course not, I was just wondering is all, just... Uh, you know, I wondered if I could look over the old Foxy you have, compare how a few things have changed over the years technology wise" Mike could spot a lie from a mile away and Charlie had not had nearly as much practice in lying as the people he was used to dealing with. He just didn't know why she was lying, still...
"Maybe, I'll talk to Fritz about it, he's the one that handles all the maintenance and stuff, so he'd be better to talk to about the details about what all was in the animatronic originally, we've had to replace and update so much I've been thinking about rebranding him to the Fox of Theseus. Besides, Foxy's not in his Cove today anyways" If Charlie really did want to know, then when they were in a better spot he could talk to Fritz about finding the blueprints to the fox, but he wasn't going to just ask the kid himself to subject himself to being poked and prodded at, so a convenient lie was the best he could manage in this moment.
Charlie didn't question it, though she didn't seem all that enthused with the answer, she just nodded after a moment, considering something, before asking, "I don't suppose you have the others from Juniors somewhere?" Mike winced a bit at that, remembering the state the group had left them in.
"Uh, yeah, but they aren't really... in one piece currently, they were in the process of being scrapped when I managed to get to them, Foxy's the only one who wasn't, it's not just my bias that got him on front door" She just nodded after a moment, and it seemed that was it, soon after they said their goodbyes, and Charlie was gone.
Leaving Mike at the door, wondering to himself just what that was about, if only for a moment, before getting back to work. He had too much to think about right now to be caught up with something that was more than likely nothing.
Wonder what Charlie was up to... Eh, can't be that important, so let's not worry about it alright? Alright!
God, I fucking love that story in three pieces for the van way more than I should, it's just... I just enjoyed writing it out way more than I had any right to for what was basically, 'they got a van, Mike put some art on it', and I have no regrets. It's just... incredible.
As for the start of the chapter, and damn I'm going out of order for this end of chapter break down this time around, it's pretty fun. I'm just vibing with being able to write whatever fluff I want for Mike and Mari mostly right now, cause I'm one of those hopeless ace romantics when it comes to gay shit, and now that I have the power to write it out myself, oh boy am I going to abuse it, if just a tiny bit. I think I've earned it after, like, thirty damn chapters of writing those two idiots pinning after each other without even realizing it.
The party was pretty fun to write too, though it was fairly simple, and I don't really have much else to add, because I'll be honest, writing out those kinds of scenes is not what I'm great at, which is really awkward cause I made it a whole thing onto myself to put this entire cast of characters in a fnaf location that didn't even exist in cannon. I really did myself in with making The Cove, a primary setting... But, eh, it's worth it, so it evens out. Anyways, See Ya!
