Hello grand readers! We're passing the halfway mark of 2024, am I the only one who feels like their resolutions are mocking them right now? Well let's escape all that, pull up some chapters and get comfy.

There is also new version of one of my olders stories I had lost touch with once upon a time, but I've been inspired once again to bring this back. So if you like Avatar the Last Airbender, you're in luck, it's now officially started public posting.

A heavy draft blue threatened to blow away Hitoshi, Izuku, and Melissa, but Sakura held strong as she walked along the walls of the tower. They ignored the rucks below of their companions battling the robots. She managed to carry them to the top of the tower, but there was no window of opportunity to enter through. So she had to make her own.

Delivering a powerful blow, that would without a doubt break their cover. Sakura smashed through the concrete walls and entered.

Ochaco caught sight of this and released on quirk, causing the other's to fall, safely on the ground.

"Where's the controls?" Sakura asked.

Melissa glanced at the staircase, "This is the last floor before the top level. The control room is there,"

"Along with the villains I bet," said Hitoshi.

"We've got company now," Sakura said watching the top of the staircase. People, armed head to toe in black combat suits, bulletproof vests, armed with guns. One without a head covering moved in to attack first, leading the others down the narrow staircase.

"You damn kids, don't go playing hero!" He declared with an almost accusing tone. man emerged, running full speed towards them. His arms morphed into steel, his skin twisting until they were pointed like spears.

Bullets blazing behind from his partners, Swordkil watched, expecting to see their bodies drop like flies in the winter air. Izuku moved to get Melissa and Hitoshi out of the crossfire, while Sakura jumped right into it.

She took a single step before vanishing from their line of sight, appearing again on top of the stairs. "Who says we're playing?"

That's the last thing the men with guns hear before collapsing and sliding down the staircase, toppling over each other.

Swordkil was the only one left standing, and there was a reason for that. "I'm only going to ask this once, what the hell are you people after?"

The air grew thick with the tension of blood lust, and battle intent. Something Izuku had become familiar with in his encounter with villains. But it wasn't coming from the villain alone this time.

Swordkil took a step back when Sakura came forward, he felt sweat form on his brow, and the hairs on the back of his neck stood.

"DAMN BRAT!" He turned away from Sakura and went for Melissa, Izuku, and Hitoshi. But Izuku was more than ready to launch a counterattack. Delivering a decisive blow that left the villain sprawled on the ground, unconscious and defeated.

Sakura breathed out her disappointment, "Would've been nice to know what these guys are after,"

"Let's worry about that after we fix this mess with the security system," Hitoshi suggested. Though he was trembling a bit. The entire situation, the atmosphere that had become familiar to the hero course students, was still foreign to him. Hitoshi was aware that since they were arriving at the top of the tower, it was likely that more villains were waiting for them.

"Chin up," Sakura patted his shoulder giving him a bit of a shock. "You talked big about wanting to be a hero right?"

Hitoshi gave her a deadpan expression, "Are you encouraging or mocking me right now?"

Sakura shrugged, smiling she turned to Melissa, "You ready?"

Melissa nodded, eyes blazing.

With each step forward, they drew closer to their objective.

..

..

..

Ascending the stairs, their footsteps echoed through the silent corridors of the building. Melissa, led the way, navigating them through the labyrinth of hallways to their final destination. Izuku, Hitoshi, and Sakura remained cautious throughout their journey. The villains already knew their intentions, but they weren't even sure how many enemies there might be waiting for them at the top.

As they approached a door that resembled the entrance to a vault, the tension grew as they peered from the wall. Standing before the controls of the room were none other than Melissa's father, David Shield, and his assistant Samuel. They appeared to be alone though.

"Papa, what is he doing here?"

"Did the villains force him to do something?" Izuku wondered.

"Where are they then?" questioned Hitoshi. "Doesn't make sense to let a hostage roam around freely,"

Sakura had her hand on the floor, making her confirmation. "They're alone in there," She turned to Melissa. "Do you have any idea why they took your father? What could their purpose be?"

Melissa shook her head, her brow furrowed with confusion. "I don't understand why they would target my father or what they hope to achieve."

"What else is in that room?"

"Inventions that were ceased, or discontinued,"

With most of their questions left unanswered, Sakura made a decisive gesture, her expression resolute. "We need to get into that control room. "Whatever the villains are planning, we can't afford to wait around and find out."

Nodding in agreement, the group steeled themselves for what lay ahead. With Sakura leading the way, they moved forward.

Samuel had gotten something out of one of the sealed box vaults. A silver case. They were talking about finally getting the contents back. And that's when things unfolded.

"Everything's going according to plan," Samuel made his way down the stairs, "It looks like even the villains are doing well."

"Thank you. It was all because you arranged everything for me Sam."

"Papa." Melissa's voice trembled with disbelief as she confronted her father, "What do you mean, Dad? How could you be involved in something like this?"

David's expression faltered as he met his daughter's gaze, his features contorted like a crumpled paper. "Melissa, I..." he began, his voice trailing off as he struggled to find the words to explain himself.

"To get that device?"

With trembling eyes, David admitted, "It is."

"Why!?"

"The professor is only trying to get back what was stolen from him," Sam attempted to defend, holding up the suitcase, "This device is a groundbreaking invention that amplifies quirks."

He went on to explain that the device allowed a person to amplify their quirk without any repercussions as they would face when using drugs. However, their research was frozen and the device was ceased by the sponsors because it was deemed a dangerous creation and a threat to society. To get back their device, they hired fake villains to help steal the device.

The revelation hit Melissa like a physical blow. "It doesn't make sense! The papa I know would never do something like this! So why?"

David seemed more calm as he gave his confession, the cause of this ordeal. "It is for All Might. His quirk is disappearing. However, if we use my device then it can go back to normal. I can give him more abilities than he started with. The number one Hero. The symbol of peace can get his light back again."

So that's what this was all for. Izuku felt his chest contort and twist like coils. There was a reason All Mightw was losing his power he had passed it on to him.

Hitoshi couldn't believe what he heard, "All Might is….?"

Sakura gritted her teeth, "While that sounds all good, this isn't going to end well for you."

"I don't care if they send me to prison!" David said clutching the briefcase with his device, "Please just let me give this to All Might,"

Sakura scoffed unsympathetic now. "Yeah, great. You get to bring back the Symbol of Peace to his former glory tell me, does that device make him immortal too? Stop him from aging?"

"Sakura…."

The pink-haired kunoichi stepped forward, "Tell me, is this world so weak that your entire foundation relies on one man? Is that why you're so desperately stupid? Because you're going to lose one hero?"

David immediately stepped in to defend, "All Might is not just one Hero! He is a Symbol! He is the greatest-

"He is one." Sakura held up her finger, "One person, one individual. He can't be everywhere at once, he isn't a god, he isn't immortal. What's happening to him, was nothing more than an eventuality, and you thinking you can erase all of that with a single device is a fool's belief."

"That's not true!" David argued. "All Might is the one holding up society, giving hope."

Sakura clicked her tongue in annoyance, "No matter how powerful a person is, how strong, wise, how many armies they can defeat, eventually their time will come to an end. You're not curing that with this device, at most you'd be delaying it."

The truth was a bitter medicine to deliver and to digest, but that was the only cure for much of the human folly. As a medic, Sakura took it upon herself to make sure everyone in that room swallowed that nauseating cure.

She had been surrounded by legends, and she had seen them fall as well. No one was strong enough to escape the grips of mortality. Even the so-called 'immortals'. Death always found a way. And for a world that relied so heavily on a single man, while overlooking the other pillars that attempted to hold society in the dangerous air.

Mellissa stepped in, "What do you think everyone went through to save the hostages? They risked their lives!"

David looked confused, "How can that be? The villains were fake…."

"Of course, it was an act,"

Turning back to the entrance of the room, there was a man in an iron mask accompanied by another. The leader Wolfram. "An act of pretending to be a fake villain,"

The room erupted into chaos as Izuku was ensnared by metal, turning to coils that wrapped around him, forcing him to the other side of the room, and pinning him to the wall, his struggles futile against its unyielding grip.

"Izuku!"Mellisa rushed to his side, followed closely by Hitoshi and Sakura. She tore at the metal with all her strength, removing them.

Meanwhile, Wolfram's demands for the device grew more insistent, his gaze fixed on David's assistant, Samuel, who hesitated for only a moment before relinquishing the object. As the device changed hands, tension crackled in the air.

It seemed that there was more than one betrayal in the mix. A gunshot was heard moments later, followed by a second, and Melissa was shrieking for her father, who had struck the ground, bleeding along with his assistant.

Wolfram's laughter echoed through the room, his mockery a bitter reminder of the consequences of David's actions.

"PAPA!"

As Melissa rushed to her father's side, Hitoshi leaped into action, his instincts driving him to shield her from harm. With a cry of pain, he bore the brunt of Wolfram's attack, the force of the bullet sending him staggering backward.

"HITOSHI!"

Sakura swiftly freed Izuku from the coils of metal, "Get Melissa to the security room, I'll handle this."

Turning her attention to Wolfram, Sakura sprinted, her movements a blur of speed as she evaded his metal walls and coils, he attempted to raise his gun, but he failed to even pull the trigger. With a calculated strike, her fist connected with a resounding impact against his mask, bending beneath the force of her punch before Wolfram was sent hurtling away.

With Wolfram momentarily subdued, Sakura wasted no time in rushing to aid the injured. Kneeling beside Hitoshi, she began the arduous task of healing his wounds, her hands glowing with a gentle light as she worked to mend the damage inflicted upon him.

"Stay still, Hitoshi. I'm going to heal you," Sakura said, her voice calm as she knelt beside him.

With a tense face, Hitoshi said to her. "Last time I'm going to a party with you."

"I'm sorry," David groaned, through his pain.

"Apologise another time, and to the right people. Preferably when you're not bleeding out."

Meanwhile, Izuku was able to get Melissa to the control room after dealing with the last villain who was by Wolfram's side, he managed to strike him down with a single punch. He got Melissa to the control panels where she made quick work of disabling the security system and returning things to normal online. Effectively freeing the citizens of the island and removing the lockdown, as well as saving the rest of class A from their attackers and freeing the captured heroes from their restraints.

Melissa wasted no time in taking the phone and contacting All Might who was also now free. She relayed the dire situation to him and the gravity of their predicament and he was quick to reassure her that he was on his way to the top of the tower which shouldn't take him too long.

But as the building began to shake, their sense of relief turned to dread, the ground trembling beneath their feet as the tower shifted and groaned with an ominous force. It was as if an earthquake erupted through the tower, the walls trembled, the computer wires had visible jolts of electricity flashing as the screens cracked, and pieces of the ceiling were already falling, crumbling as if they were ruins.

"What's happening now?" asked Izuku.

"I don't know."

Izuku and Melissa dashed back into the room where Sakura was tending to David, Samuel, and Hitoshi. The metallic groans of the building seemed to intensify as if the very structure wanted to come apart in an instant. Thick coils of metal, resembling serpents of destruction, snaked their way upward, threatening to rend the tower apart.

"Where's that villain?!" Recalling the ability to manipulate metal, it was easy to piece together the source of this onslaught.

"We need to get out of here, now,"

Izuku scooped up Melissa, and threw Samuel over his shoulder, careful of his injury, while Sakura took charge of Hitoshi and David, her movements steady amidst the chaos. Soon the metal coils and sheets were flying all over, rising, along with them as Sakura and Izuku carefully navigated through this jungle of metal. Careful not to be ensnared by the vines and wires.

David's voice rose above the din, a mixture of fear and realization coloring his words. "This must be Wolfram's doing," he exclaimed, his eyes wide with dread. "He must have activated the device!"

They reached the rooftop, but there wasn't a moment to relax for it only served to give a wider vision of what was to come. Wolfram emerged from the twisted metal below, breaking through the powerful tower floor.

"As expected of something made by David Shield. I can tell that my quirk is getting revitalized!" He looked like a man possessed, holding himself high with delight to sneer down at those below him.

"I am here!" Toshinori, in a gust of wind carrying the hero, appeared in front of the group.

"All Might!" Izuku breathed in relief.

"Uncle Might!"

As All Might's towering figure emerged, Wolfram became ecstatic instead of cowering at the appearance of the Symbol of Peace.

"Dave my friend," Toshinori took him from Sakura to examine.

"I'm sorry…." He said with all the sincerity he could muster through the pain.

"All of you, stand back," All Might's voice boomed, as he held his shoulder square, tightening his smile. "I will handle this!"

Although he held his posture in confidence, Toshinori had been holding onto his hero form for too long while captive, and now he was going to have to fight as well. He didn't have time to consider the consequences, however, his body wouldn't hold for long. It was like an old tree trying to wuther a storm after being drained by the dry season. And he was going to have to ensure he didn't break apart at the roots.

Wires rose from the ground, breaking apart the group, Sakura managed to push Hitoshi out of the way and Izuku was able to save Melissa but David was unfortunately ensnared by the coils. As they wrapped around him, Toshinori pushed on his feet to save his friend. But was blocked by a metal wall rising from the tower.

Wolfram emerged from beneath the coils of slithering metal, "That Sam. He said All Might's quirk is declining."

All Might gritted his teeth, feeling the strain of his weakened state burden his hero spirit like never before. It was akin to holding his breath underwater while trying to clamber to the surface, desperate for air but unable to draw anything in. For to inhale, he would need to deflate. And with every move he made from this point on, would like another breath of air lost.

A heavy attack was unleashed, as Wolfram bore down on All Might. His metal pillars flew directly at him. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the air with power that made even the number one Hero struggle to combat.

Toshinori fought with every ounce of strength he had left. His muscles screamed in protest, his body pushed to its very limits as he braced himself against the onslaught.

Then a pillar of metal hurtling towards Toshinori was suddenly encased in ice, freezing it in its tracks. A chill swept through the air and they knew that Shoto had arrived. Followed by a few explosions aimed at Wolfram.

The rest of their classmates had managed to climb to the top of the tower to face the commotion. Giving Toshinori new motivation to keep pushing his limits.

As All Might rushed at Wolfram once more, he was suddenly ensnared by metal wires, tightening around his joints, restricting his movements. Wolfram's sinister grin widened as he closed the distance between them, his hand wrapping around All Might's throat with a vice-like grip.

But there was something different about Wolfram now, something that sent a chill down All Might's spine. With a wicked grin, Wolfram revealed another quirk. All Might struggled against his captor's hold, his muscles straining against the metal wires that bound him. Before he could break free, he was shoved back by a powerful blast of metal, sending him flying back. Followed by boulders of metal clumped together, encasing the hero.

"ALL MIGHT!" His students called out.

Izuku didn't wait on the sidelines any longer, jumping in, utilizing the device Melissa had given him to put one hundred percent of his power into a punch that allowed him to free his mentor. Izuku was almost crushed by a piece of metal, had Toshinori not blocked it with his body. But he was also worse for wear.

"Hitoshi, think you can stand on your own?"

His eyes widened, before giving a small scoff, though it was still pained. "What am I a damsel?"

"Try not to get killed while I'm gone."

Sakura went over to Izuku and Toshinori. "You've both looked better."

Despite their dire situation, she seemed determined to lift their spirits and strength with a collected approach. Sakura glared back at Wolfram, who seemed to be in no rush to eradicate them, although it wouldn't be long before he had complete liberty of the entire Tower and anyone inside and around would be at risk to his villainous imagination.

"What do you mean young Haruno? The damage is mostly done to my costume,"

Toshinori had been determined to keep face as the top hero, and that meant no one could know the truth of his condition. But he wasn't aware that Sakura already knew the truth of the dangerous secret he shared with Izuku.

Without arguing, Sakura strolled over to Toshinori, hands out sending chakra through his body to heal the damage and restore his stamina. Just as she did at the USJ.

This was something that always astounded Toshinori. Understanding that Sakura's healing did not function the same as Recovery girls. And in a pinch, it was a useful form.

Izuku noticed the smoke stopped coming off of Toshinori, which indicated he was about to lose his muscle form.

Sakura dusted off her hands, turning back to Wolfram. "If we wanna end this quickly, we've gotta destroy that device. I'm gonna go for it, you two clear the path."

"Haruno-

Toshinori wanted to suggest he be the one to face off Wolfram, although he knew he would need assistance with this one. He didn't want his students to get that close to the villain. Not when he could be a shield.

"I can't produce the same wind force against all that metal, punching my way through is just going to slow me down."

Toshinori realized that Sakura wasn't going to back down from her position and he would have to give the reigns to her and rely on Izuku's strength to get through this battle. It seemed there was a new dawn coming.

"Alright, young Midoriya shall we?"

"Yes!"

The trio charged, kicking up a dust trail behind them as they blazed through the metal terrain of shifting floors and deadly beams of metal that threatened to impede their progress. Yet, with nimble agility, they pressed on, their movements fluid like water.

Toshinori and Izuku were nearly identical in their movements, their quirks synchronized as they unleashed an onslaught of punches, their fists creating forces of nature that broke through the metal surrounding them. Each blow struck with precision, aiming to dismantle Wolfram's control piece by piece. Meanwhile, Sakura danced around them, her punch focused on one target.

Their classmates did everything they could to help clear a path as well, but Wolfram wasn't holding onto much patience as he forced them back with his power. Creating colossal blocks of metal that extended out like spider legs, threatening to cage them in. With a deafening roar, they unleashed a Double Detroit Smash, their combined might holding the colossal block at bay against the relentless force. For a fleeting moment, it seemed as though Wolfram might prevail.

As Izuku and Toshinori worked to clear the path, Sakura moved nimbly passed them. She came to the point of climbing up the metal catastrophe as Wolfram failed to notice the kunoichi's approach. Not until it was too late that is.

With lightning speed, Sakura dashed towards Wolfram, her movements fluid like a gust of wind. Her chakra surged through her body. With a single decisive punch, she struck the device that powered Wolfram's quirk, shattering it into a million pieces.

"SHANNARO!" She bellowed, pushing her fist further into Wolfram's face until she was certain he wouldn't get back up. The tower trembled, its foundations weakened by the release of the quirk, metal beams crashed to the ground, and those who were coiled up and trapped were freed.

The heaviness of every burden the class A students carried when venturing through the tower was lost with its crumbling face and they could finally breathe a sigh of relief, relishing that it was over. And that they would survive another day. The relief was so great it allowed Minoru to cheer, and Katsuki and Shouto to smile.

Sakura landed in unpleasantly unstable rubble, but at least she didn't lose her footing or have to be dug up like Izuku. Toshinori had moved over to Dave, ensuring he was safe.

"We just can't catch a break," Sakura smiled back to Izuku.

"Deku! Haruno!" Melissa called rushing over to the two. "Are you alright?"

Izuku looked at his arm that once held the gauntlet, "I was saved so many times by the full gauntlet, thank you, Melissa."

"Deku…"

"DEKU!"

"SAKURA!"

They turned onto another island of rubble where their classmates were waving towards them, though it was clear everyone had overused their quirks, from Sakura's analysis there were no further injuries.

"Never traveling with you again." Hitoshi came up behind the three holding his side.

Hand on her jutted hip, she grinned, "What, can't handle the heat of being a real hero?"

Hitoshi's expression turned stoic as he looked out at the rising light, "If this is what it means, I have a long way to go,"

Sakura patted his shoulder, "You get there; eventually."

"Right now I'm just ready to get back home."

Sakura bulked, "Back on the plane?"

"Back on the plane."

THAT'S ALL FOLKS!
