The entirety of the Remnant crew slowly made their way onto the platform to enter the simulation to take on the rampage, some of them far more enthusiastic than others. "This is gonna be so awesome! We're gonna fight a monster army!" Nora cheered while carrying the rest of team JNPR onto the platform with her.

"That's a sentence you should be panicking about, not cheering for." Weiss said, digging her heels into the floor as Yang pushed her towards the platform.

"Oh, come on! We've totally got this! We take on Grimm all the time." Yang assured her teammate.

"And these monsters make the Grimm look like kittens." Ilia reminded them.

"That and many of them have abilities the Grimm could only dream of." Winter added.

"I am also rather concerned, especially if we encounter monsters that can expel either lava or highly corrosive elements." Penny said nervously.

"Don't worry, Penny. You can stay at a distance up in the air and blast them with your lasers!" Ruby assured her android ally as they walked onto the platform together.

"As long as none of them let out roars that can be heard countries away, I'm fine." Blake said.

"You can also look at this as a learning experience. This will be helpful practice in the event we find ourselves in a full-scale war scenario against Salem and her forces. When it inevitably happens." Ironwood told them all.

"Wow, way to be a ray of sunshine, James." Summer said to the general with her arms crossed.

"Enough chatter! Let's go already!" Razara told them, the demon sisters now fresh out of the ice bath their mother forced them into, having frozen and shattered the excess liquid from their bodies and were now dressed in new armor, Nergigante armor in Razara's case and Zorah Magdaros armor for Tekko.

"They're right. The longer we take here, the longer its gonna take to beat up a monster army!" Neo said.

"Very well, then. Good luck, everyone. I fear you'll be needing it." Katana told them, sending them into the simulation.

The group reappeared in the middle of an area stocked with various weapons and chests containing support items hunters would normally use, like potions and energy drinks, with a large doorway in front of them. "So, kind of obvious question, but I guess we go through the doorway?" Emerald asked.

"That's right. Right through there and you'll see the battlefield you will be fighting on." Katana informed them.

"Got it/Understood/Let's do it/Very well." Were their various responses.

They went through the doorway and entered into a pathway filled with platforms with hatches on them, as well as one containing a pair of Dragonators. The path was then narrowed be a wall with an opening currently blocked off by a barrier raised up to block the monsters from advancing any further. Then, past this was more platforms for more weapons and another barrier serving as the only thing keeping the monsters from entering a fortress-like wall that then lead to the village. "Man. This place looks like it's ready for a war." Yang said, both shocked and impressed.

"Because it is." Razara's voice rang out in a deathly serious tone.

"Yep! This is the stronghold, where we hold the line against rampaging monsters trying to destroy Kamura Village. You guys need to stop them from breaking down those barriers, which would let them into the village and cause havoc. It's not GREAT if they get past the first barrier, but it's not the end of the world. If they get past that second barrier, you're REALLY in trouble, but there's one more area with one final gate. That is the ABSOLUTE FINAL defense stopping the monsters from reaching the village. If that goes down, it's game over." Tekko explained.

"Ordinarily, there are also siege weapons that can be used and residents of Kamura Village who jump in and help, but that's usually for groups of four hunters AT MOST who need the extra back-up. But you're already stronger and tougher than most hunters AND there's twenty four of you. I think any extra help would be unfair to THE MONSTERS, honestly." Katana said.

"I... Guess that makes sense." Emerald admitted.

"But still, even the greatest force there is can be defeated without a solid plan." Hazel said.

"He's right. We need to come up with a plan on how to defend this place. Even if it is only a training simulation, we should treat it as if this is the real thing and that innocent people are at risk and counting on us to hold the last line of defense between them and the monsters." Ironwood agreed.

"Well, we're all open to ideas here, general." Qrow said, looking to the cyborg expectantly.

But while everyone had been talking, Jaune had been coming up with a plan from the exact moment Tekko had finished explaining the situation and looked around the area, putting the pieces together, until a full plan had come together in his mind. "Guys, I got it!" He said.

"Alright, Jaune!" Ruby cheered.

"Well, we're all ears." Cinder said.

"Are we seriously going to allow a student to come up with a plan for a battle on this magnitude?" Winter asked, almost in disbelief.

"Mr. Arc has proven himself to be one of the brightest strategic minds in Beacon. I trust his judgment." Glynda assured her. Winter and a few others looked uncertain at this, but nodded in agreement.

"We're with you, Jaune." Pyrrha told him.

Jaune smiled at this and nodded. "Okay. So, those platforms should keep us out of the reach of most monsters on the ground. This would be a great place for those with ranged weapons to stay up and out off the fighting, while providing support fire on the monsters. I'd say the people best for this would be General Ironwood, Ms. Goodwitch, Cinder, Coco, Ren, Blake, Emerald and Ruby." He began.

"Okay, that makes sense." Coco agreed.

"Next, we need to make sure the monsters don't get through those barriers, so we need to make sure if they manage to reach the barriers, they don't get any further than that, so that would be a job for our stronger, tankier people who would be able to hold the line and push back the monsters. That would be best for Yang, Nora, Summer, Hazel, me, Pyrrha, Penny and Roman. Since the front gate isn't as much of a problem, the ones to protect that should be me, Yang, Nora and Pyrrha. And since the next one is a bigger deal, we'll have our absolute strongest protecting it. That's Penny, Hazel, Roman and Summer. And if they manage to break through both of them, go for broke and get to the last barrier as fast as you all can, then all of you defend it together. I doubt anything less than an Elder Dragon could get through that." The blonde boy continued.

"Smart choice." Hazel agreed.

"I agree! It is very smart to prioritize our strongest and sturdiest to protect objects of importance, Jaune! Well done!" Penny praised.

Jaune blushed at this. "Th-thanks. And that leaves the rest of you being the DPS. Just do your best to damage the monsters and get them to retreat so they don't reach the barriers. You guys may not do as much damage per hit as our tanks, but you can rack up the damage the quickest. And I doubt the monsters would be able to handle getting attacked so fast from all different directions. The natural instinct would be to run so they don't get hurt anymore. You guys should be able to drive them off, no problem." He finished.

"That's a plan I can get behind." Adam accepted.

"Indeed. Well planned, Mr. Arc." Ozpin praised with a proud smile.

"I underestimated you, Jaune, my apologies. You could be a solid military tactician in Atlas." Winter admitted.

"Uh, thanks, but I'm perfectly happy in Vale." He said.

"Alright, then! Sounds like you have a plan! Which is good, because the monsters are right around the corner!" Razara declared.

"Yep! They should be here in exactly 10... 9... 8..." Tekko counted down.

"Okay, everyone! Places! Quick!" Ruby cried out.

Everyone hurried to their assigned places: the two groups of tanks positioned in front of their respective barriers, Blake and Emerald were on the platform closest to the front on the left, Ren and Ironwood on the center platform, Ruby and Cinder on the front right platform with the Dragonator, Glynda was on the platform to the right of the second barrier with an assortment of cannonballs and other things she could throw with her Semblance around her and Coco was on the highest platform to the left of the second barrier. [1] And the DPS fighters stood in front of the center platform in two rows of four.

"3... 2... 1... Here they come!" Tekko finished counting as a pair of Arzuros charged over a ramp of spiked logs.

"Let's do this!" Ilia said as the DPS fighters rushed towards the monsters

Background Music: "This is War" by 30 Seconds to Mars

The pair of blue bear beasts barreled forward, hellbent on reaching the barriers and breaking through to the village. Gunfire from Ren's Stormflower frazzled the beast and caused it to turn its head and charge blindly, allowing Weiss and Velvet to rush in, the older girl delivering a powerful kick that had the effectiveness of an uppercut, sending the beast up onto its hindlegs and making it stagger a bit, allowing Weiss to rush in and slash its hindlegs out from under it, bringing it face down onto the ground, where Ilia hit it with her whip to shock it and keep it from getting back up, until Velvet followed through with a strike to its head with both fists, covered by holographic copies of Ember Celica, also unleashing a blast from both holo-weapons, knocking the beast out, causing it to vanish.

"We'll take out the monsters as they are incapacitated so you don't wind up with a mountain of unconscious monsters. You're welcome!" Katana's voice chimed in.

"Well, that's handy." Yang said.

Winter and Qrow then rushed out in front of the other Arzuros, Winter slashing it to get its attention. The beast reared up and tried to slam down on her with its front paws, but Qrow got in the way and held its paws back with Harbinger. Ruby then shot the beast in the side of the head to break its focus, while Winter used the opening created by Qrow to leap into the air and spin, slashing down the beast's back as she did so, causing the beast to rear back in pain, which allowed Qrow to slash it across the chest, then blast it with the shotgun part of his weapon, causing it to collapse and vanish as well. The specialist and former drunk shared a small nod to say "Nice Work", but then Qrow noticed a Great Izuchi behind her. "Watch out!" He warned, but before it could lash out with its sickle tail, it was hit by a trio of explosive arrows from Cinder, bringing it down.

Two more Great Izuchi came in, along with a Khezu. Adam locked blades with one of the Izuchi's tail blades, which allowed Neo to rush in and hit it with a backflip kick, landing and spinning to slash one of its legs and attempting to hit it with her umbrella, but it managed to catch the weapon in its teeth and whipped its body back to throw Neo to the ground behind it, turning back and slashing at Adam with its claws, forcing him onto the offensive. Ozpin and Ilia got in the other Izuchi's path, Ilia hitting it with her whip to stun it and allow Ozpin to get some good hits on it, but the creature then regurgitated rocks as projectiles at Ilia, knocking her back, which freed the Izuchi from the constant shock and allowed it to spin with its sickle tail out, forcing Ozpin to jump back.

All the while, Velvet had created a copy of Gambol Shroud- ribbon included- to tie up the Khezu, restraining it for Winter, Weiss and Qrow to attack it together, but this quickly angered the blind Wyvern, who unleashed a dome of electricity, blasting away the ones assailing it, while it also shot out streams of electricity from the dome as well, forcing all of the close-range fighters to dodge out of the way, allowing the two Izuchi's to run through as well, deftly dodging the streams of electricity.

And, of course, the ranged support were firing from their positions, but about the time the Izuchi's got a chance to counterattack, the shooters noticed a shadow above them, looking up to see a large crane-like monster they weren't yet familiar with, a giant, fan-like crest above its head. "What the heck is that?" Blake asked in shock.

However, they didn't have long to ponded this, as the creature started launching fireballs from its mouth down at the ranged fighters. "Look out!" Emerald said, tackling Blake out of the way of a fireball. But as they looked back upon hitting the ground, they were shocked to see the fireball BOUNCED across the ground right towards them, connecting with them and launching them back. Cinder also had to move Ruby out of the way as the crane monster seemed to divert its full attention to them after knocking down Blake and Emerald.

Ironwood and Ren had went to shoot the flying fiend, but before they could, the Khezu had leapt up onto their platform, forcing them to dive out of the way, before it jumped down and made its way to the gate. Ren turned and attempted to shoot the Charging Wyvern, but Ironwood stopped him. "No! The ones at the gate will handle it. We need to focus on the threats in front of us!" He told him, Ren nodding and the two quickly firing upon the Aknosom, practically knocking it out of the air and forcing it to retreat.

But almost as soon as it was gone a pair of Pukei-Pukei showed up and started to rain down globs of poison. And with some growls of anger or disappointment, the ranged fighters shared looks and started focusing combating the aerial assault, rather than supporting their allies on the ground.

Meanwhile with said tanks, Jaune quickly blocked the Khezu's way as it attempted to ram its side into the gate, causing the beast to crash into his shield instead, the blonde knight holding fast and not letting himself be pushed back much. "Oh, no, you don't!" He said, slashing the beast's side. But while it did leave a decent cut, along with those of Weiss, Qrow and Winter, it didn't do major, critical damage, or even seem to faze the monster to much, as it extended its neck to slam its head into the gate, starting to take small bites out of it. Jaune was shocked at this, but resolved to work harder, stabbing and slashing the beast more, enough for it to finally focus on him instead of the gate. It prepared to blast him with a sphere of electricity, but Pyrrha was quick to come in and bash her shield into its head, causing it to recoil and stagger a bit, allowing her to blast it a few times with her rifle.

And as this happened, Yang was quick to block the path of the Izuchi on the right. "Hey, big guy. Nice scythe tail. But my SISTER has a bigger scythe than you." She taunted, the creature roaring and charging forward while swiping its claws, Yang masterfully weaving around the assault and delivering a solid hit to its body when she could. It then tried to backflip and catch her with its tail, but she sidestepped, causing its tail to get stuck. "Aww, you stuck? Don't worry! I'll help!" She said, blasting the ground at its feet with Ember Celica, causing it to fall, face down. She then grabbed its tail, pulled it free and spun around, eventually letting go and hurling the beast into the Khezu to bring both of them down.

Meanwhile, Nora had charged towards the other Izuchi with a war cry, but the Bird Wyvern screeched at this, leaping up to avoid her swing and pouncing on her, sending her to the ground and leaping off her, starting to tear at the gate with its claws, teeth and tail. However, Nora was quick to get back up with a fury in her eyes. "Oh, that's IT!" She said, quickly turning around and grabbing the monster's tail as it was preoccupied with the gate, swinging it over her head and slamming it on the ground. It had only enough time to get up and let out an angry screech at her, before seeing her winding up for a strike, swinging her hammer as it it were a golf club, hitting the Great Izuchi and sending it flying into the horizon, a small twinkle happening as it vanished into the skyline.

(You know I just realized, this fight's going on too long for one song. Keep a playlist of fight songs handy, I guess)

And as this occured, several more monsters invaded the battlefield, a pair each of unfamiliar orange and blue raptors, along with a Basarios and a leviathan that looked like a strange mix between komodo dragon and a sponge. Neo quickly rushed towards one of the orange raptors, the Great Wroggi shooting a glob of acid at her as she advanced, but she blocked it with her umbrella and smacked the creature in the face with it, delivering a jumping spin kick and a pair of slashes with Hush. Adam rushed in and delivered a slash to the other Wroggi, as well as a shot from Blush, staggering the beast. However, after it recovered, it breathed a cloud of purple mist at Adam, causing him to cough and choke a bit, allowing the creature to ram into him, sending him tumbling across the ground into the platform Ren and Ironwood stood on.

Velvet jumped on the back of one of the blue raptors and started slashing away with holographic versions of Winter's swords, but the other Baggi clamped its jaws on her left leg and threw her off. She prepared to get back up, but then felt an overwhelming sense of tiredness, collapsing on the spot, almost immediately asleep. The two Baggi were about to charge towards the gate, but thankfully one of them, the one Velvet had jumped on, was stopped by Winter and Ilia, the Chameleon girl wrapping its feet with her whip and shocking it, allowing Winter to land several precise slashes on it, as well as a few knees and kicks to drive it off.

Ozpin, Qrow and Weiss moved quickly to try and intercept the bigger monsters, but they were suddenly blindsided by being hit in the head by large fruits or pinecones. "The hell!?" Qrow asked as they looked up to see the one responsible: a strange monkey monster with blue and white fur with wings on its arms and a VERY strange tail. Before they could process much more, the monkey monster took out a flashbang, throwing it to the ground and smashing it with its tail to emit a blinding flash, stunning all the close-range fighters, proceeding to knock them down with more fruits and charging through some of them by walking on its tail.

"This thing's too wild to ignore! We should focus on it for now!" Weiss said.

"Indeed. It would seem our barrier defenders will be quite busy picking up our stragglers." Ozpin said as they all rushed the Bishaten.

"Oh, man! This is getting intense!" Ruby said as the Basarios and Royal Ludroth were making their way towards the gate. But she also noticed they were passing in front of their platform... Which possessed a pair of Dragonators. "Oh, wait! I know!" She said, quickly pulling the lever and shooting out the massive spikes at the two monsters, causing them to reel in pain, then quickly retreat. "Oh, yeah! No more advancing for you guys!" She said.

"Well done, Ruby." Cinder said with a smile as she managed to drive off another Aknosom, after the ranged fighters had chased away the two Pukei-Pukei's. But, unfortunately, that moment of relief was short-lived as a massive creature that looked like a cross between a frog, turtle and platypus emerged and made a beeline for the gate. "Then again, it might have been better to wait for him." She said as the two started to fire at this new monster, but they also found themselves being hit by the Bishaten's fruit barrage.

Back with the first barrier defenses, Jaune and Pyrrha moved in front of Nora and Yang as the Great Wroggi and Great Baggi fired their respective poison and sleep projectiles, the shielded duo harmlessly blocking them with their defenses, allowing Yang to step out from behind them, launch herself at the Baggi and batter it with an ULTRA COMBO! While Nora simply leapt over her protector, slamming her hammer down on the Great Wroggi. She then attempted to send it flying with another golf swing, before she was hit with a much larger version of Izuchi's rock vomit attack, everyone turning to see the Tetranadon barreling towards them. Yang was shocked a this, ceasing her assault on the Great Baggi, which allowed the blue raptor to smack her back with a tail swipe, but it and the recovered Wroggi rushed at the barrier.

Jaune and Pyrrha attempted to stop them, but the Tetranadon continued forward and barreled into the two of them, knocking them out of the way as it joined the two raptors in assaulting the barrier, their combined might soon bringing it down. "They have breached the first barrier!" Penny said in concern.

"Well, good thing we're back here then. We shouldn't have expected to sit this whole thing out." Coco said, firing upon the Tetranadon.

"Indeed. I was actually almost afraid we'd miss out." Glynda admitted, throwing some cannonballs as well. And between the rapid and heavy assault all at once, plus Jaune and Pyrrha recovering and delivering some painful shield bashes, the Tetranadon was quickly defeated.

The two raptors also tried to advance, but the Baggi soon found its tail grabbed. "Oh, no, you don't!" Yang said, flipping it over her head and slamming it to the ground behind her, then blasting it from a round with both gauntlets and blasted it back into Ironwood and Ren's platform, knocking it out.

And before the Wroggi could get much further, Nora suddenly rocketed past it on her hammer, before getting off it and maneuvering so she was in front of it with her rocket launcher aimed at its face. "Boom!" She declared coldly, blasting it in the face and knocking it back.

And back with the others, Weiss had managed to freeze the Bishaten's tail, halting its movements, before Ilia lashed her whip around one of its arms, a second holographic version of the whip wrapping around the other arm, thanks to the recovered Velvet, keeping it immobilized. From there, it was an easy matter for the others to put it out of commission.

"Here comes the last wave! Get ready!" Tekko informed them.

And this is when all hell truly broke loose as a small army came rushing through the barriers. A pair of Zinogre lead the assault, already in their charged state, followed closely a Tetranadon and a Basarios, with a Great Baggi, Izuchi and Wroggi behind them. The ranged fighters were quick to start shooting them, but their attention was soon pulled away from this as a Rathalos and a pair of Aknosom descended from the sky and started launching fireballs at them, forcing them to aim their assaults to the sky.

The Zinogre were able to rush past the assault team, but they quickly blocked off the path for any of the other monsters, Ozpin quickly moving around the Basarios while striking at its legs to weaken them and make it difficult for the juvenile monster to hold its massive weight up, while Velvet also rapidly moved around it, landing solid hits on its head, wings and back with a copy of Nora's hammer, the rapid assault quickly growing too much for the young monster and bringing it down.

All while the raptors were halted by two groups of two and one group of one. The Schnee sisters quickly worked together dismantle Great Wroggi's assault, Winter unleashing an onslaught of small ice Nevermores as Weiss weaved in and out, slashing the orange raptor with an ice-empowered Myrtenaster to bring it down. The baggi tried to charge ahead, but found itself falling forward as its leg was caught by something and pulled back, while it was also getting a devastating shock, the source being Ilia and her whip electrocuting it while Neo battered it with her umbrella and landed several slashes with Hush to quickly send it packing. And Adam locked blades with the Great Izuchi, before shooting it with Blush, making it reel back and allowing him to land a few slashes before it recovered and slashed at him with its claws, but he jumped back to avoid its attack and rendered the beast unconscious with one more shot from Blush.

Meanwhile, Qrow quickly went to work, his weapon already in scythe form as he maneuvered around Tetranadon's attempts to crush him with its weight, landing solid slashes on it, before using his new Semblance to send Aura feathers into the ground beneath the sumo-like Amphibian, which exploded and launched the monster into the air, Qrow flying up in his crow form to get above it, returning to normal and slamming down on the beast with his sword.

However, almost immediately after those threats were dispatched, a Rathian charged into the arena, followed closely by an Almudron and a Rajang, as a Pukei-Pukei and Barioth flew along with them, past the Rathalos the ranged fighters were still dealing with. And as if that wasn't enough trouble, the Rathian barreled straight through and obliterated the platform Ren and Ironwood had been standing on, forcing Blake to stop shooting Rathalos and throw Gambol Shroud in its Kusari-Gama form to wrap around Ren and pull him to safety with her and Emerald, while Ruby quickly turned into a swirl of rose petals, grabbing Ironwood and bringing him back over to her and Cinder's platform.

And during all this, the two Zinogres had quickly made their way to the destroyed first gate, where its four defenders still stood, Jaune and Pyrrha holding back one of the Thunder Wolf Wyverns, while Yang got out of the way to allow Nora to rush in, jumping onto its head and grabbing its horns, the electricity powering her up and allowing her to twist and turn the beast's head enough to pull it off balance as it ran, causing it to fall to its side, Yang quickly running up to it and facing its back. "Looks like you've got a flea problem! But I've got the perfect treatment for that!" She declared, blasting its back repeatedly with her gauntlets to take out its supply of Fulgurbugs, causing it to lose its charge, at which point Nora got up and sent it tumbling back with a hammer swing that knocked it into the other Zinogre, knocking it down and allowing Pyrrha to land several shots on it with her rifle, while Jaune turned his sword into its two-handed form, landing some devastating slashes on it that quickly drove it off.

But they had no time to breathe after this as the Rathian, Almudron and Rajang came barreling through, forcing them all to dive out of the way. Coco and Glynda started to fire their projectiles at the ground, but they soon had to take cover as the Pukei-Pukei fired globs of poison at Coco and the Barioth shot an ice projectile at Glynda, resulting in a huge tornado that sent many of her cannonball projectiles flying away.

The tanks at the back all rushed forward to meet the final threats. Summer charged at the Rathian, attempting to hit it with her axe, but the Rathian narrowly dodged it as she did a backflip to try and hit Summer with her poisonous tail, forcing the Rose matriarch to dive out of the way, narrowly dodging the hit herself. Penny rushed in and landed a few slashes on the Almudron, but was forced to fly into the air to avoid its waves of corrosive golden mud, relying now on her smaller, weaker lasers, as her giant one would take far too long to charge and the Almudron would likely be able to snake its way around the beam to avoid damage. Roman rushed in and gave it a solid smack across the face with his cane, as well as a blast from its grenade launcher form, but wasn't prepared as it already had a sizeable mud ball in its hand-like tail, smashing it into him, knocking him back, covered in mud. "JUST had this thing cleaned!" He complained. And Hazel rushed forward and grappled with Rajang, the two appearing to be equals, but the Rajang then opened its mouth and blasted him with its lightning beam, causing him to grimace from the heat and the damage he was receiving.

Back with the front group, more raptors were constantly invading the arena, preventing the DPS from going to assist the group with the last gate, some even getting past them and forcing the first group of tanks to hold the line as well. And the Rathalos was still proving to be a problem for the ranged fighters. However, Ruby was starting to come up with a plan. "Blake! Emerald! The Pukei!" She told them, the two looking back to see the Gluttonous Gullet still keeping Coco pinned with streams of poison from its tail and globs of poison from its mouth.

But that also meant it was distracted. Blake then made a trio of shadow clones, the three of them leaping into the air as Blake and Emerald followed them, two of the clones using their arms to make a platform for Blake to land on and jump off as the third clone took Emerald's hands and tossed her further into the air, where she met Blake and grasped her hands, the two spinning and Blake throwing her far enough for her to unleash her chains, wrapping around the Pukei's legs and yanking down with full force, pulling herself and the Bewitching Poison Bird out of the air, sending it crashing to the ground.

"Cinder! General! The Barioth!" She told them.

The two looked at her, then to the Ice Tusk Wyvern, then to each other. "Get on." He told her, kneeling down so Cinder could stand on his shoulders, the general using his gun with Gravity Dust to launch the two of them both great distance and height into the air, soon flying close enough for Cinder to leap off, flying above the Barioth, allowing her to fire three fire-charged arrows into the saber-toothed Wyvern's back, sending it to the ground as well.

"Ren! The Rathalos!" Ruby called, before rushing towards him as a red spiral. She grabbed him and flew up high, going even above the Rathalos, before letting Ren go.

While he panicked for a split second, he soon realized her plan and nodded, firing Stormflower's bayonets on wires to wrap around Rathalos' neck, reeling himself in and landing on its back. "It is in your best interests to cooperate with me right now." Ren told the King of The Skies, stepping down hard on its back, the beast apparently receiving the signal and landing on the ground. He then tugged on Stormflower to guide the monster in the directions he desired, getting it to face the oncoming raptors. "Now!" He said, stomping down lightly on its back, the melee fighters clearing the way as the Rathalos shot fireball to blast back the raptors. "I have it from here! Help the others!" Ren told them.

They all nodded as they, along with Ruby, who had dove back down after getting Ren in position, cleared out the rest of the raptors being dealt with by the first line of tanks. Meanwhile, Glynda and Coco, now free from the assaults on them, returned to their duty of helping the last wave of tanks, Glynda launching a number of cannonballs at the Almudron and Rathian as Coco rained fire on the Rajang. This put a stop to the Rajang's lightning beam, allowing Hazel to recover and push the Fanged Beast back, stabbing Ice Dust into his arms, forming icy knuckle dusters over his... well- knuckles, landing several savage hits on the Golden Mane, even stunning it with a kick, allowing him to conjure up two bowling ball-sized ice balls in his hand, smashing them together with the Rajang's head between them to knock it out.

Meanwhile, the Pukei-Pukei and Barioth had been brought to the ground, but they weren't out yet. The Pukei got up and prepared to spit a glob of poison at Emerald, but it was suddenly blasted by explosive arrows, turning its attention to the side with a roar as Cinder approached firing a few more arrows. She then looked to Emerald and nodded, separating her bow into her dual blades, dashing around and slicing the beast's legs, underside and head as Emerald leapt over it, slashing away at its wings, back tail, finishing the job and bring it down.

And with the Barioth, Penny had quickly rocketed onto its back, wrapping her swords around its body and using its wires, controlling it and forcing it to ram itself into a wall. "Hey, that's not a bad idea! Let me try!" Roman said, firing the handle of his cane on a wire at the Almudron, wrapping it around its neck and sending it forward into the cliff in front of them- DANGEROUSLY close to the gate, but not actually hitting the gate. This turned around as Penny and her Barioth were also turned around, giving him an idea. "Hey. Robo-Officer! Feel like playing chicken?" He asked with a smirk, but Penny simply tilted her head, not understanding. Roman rolled his eyes at this. "Just make them run into each other!" He told her. This, she understood and they both launched their monsters, making them slam into each other and rendering them both unconscious.

All the while, this Rathian was spending an unusually large amount of time in the air for their preferably grounded species, taking talon swipes and bites at Summer while doing backflips to try and poison her, but Summer managed to evade them, though her attempts of jumping and counterattacking failed as the monster maneuvered out of the way [2]. But eventually, she managed to use her rifle to pepper the Queen of the Land with shots, causing the Flying Wyvern to flail in pain in the air, allowing Summer to jump against and off of the gate, coming down with a powerful axe swing to defeat the monster.

End Music

"Alright, everyone! That was the last monster! You guys did it!" Tekko cheered.

"Congrats. We'll bring you back in a minute once you all group back up." Razara said.

"Yeah, we did it!" Ruby cheered, leaping into Cinder's arms and hugging her girlfriend.

"It felt close for a minute, but yes, we really did it. Quite an accomplishment." Cinder agreed.

Filler "Heck yeah! No monster can mess with us! I bet we could've taken on a monster army THREE TIMES that size!" Nora cheered. "Who says we can't?!" She demanded, looking around challengingly.

"No one's saying we couldn't do that Nora. Although, I doubt any of us would WANT to." Ren told her.

"Still, that was really awesome guys! You all did great out there!" Jaune praised his friends and teammates.

"We couldn't have done it without your brilliant strategy, Jaune." Pyrrha told him.

"Yeah. Not bad, kid. You ought to take Jimmy's job." Qrow said, earning glares and growls from Ironwood and Winter.

"You definitely did good out there, kid. Oz made the right call making you the team leader. I'm glad Ruby was able to make a friend like you." Summer assured the blonde boy.

"Oh. Yeah. Thanks, Mrs. Rose." Jaune said, blushing a bit at the praise from his friend's mother.

"Alright, then. Let's get out of here!" Emerald said as the whole group had now reconvened.

"Got it. Bringing you back now." Katana said, pulling the group out of the simulation.

The group reappeared in the training room, to the applause of the ice demon trio. "Well done. If this had been real, the people of Kamura would be VERY grateful to you all." Katana praised.

"Yeah! They'd probably call you all heroes!" Tekko cheered.

"So, what did you guys think?" Razara asked.

"That was AWESOME! Super intense!" Yang cheered.

"This proves that the monsters are more dangerous than the Grimm. We've all faced our fair share of Grimm assaults before, but I can't recall the last time I was in such a dire situation." Ironwood said, getting many nods of agreement.

"I know, right?! That was crazy! That made The Breach feel like just another training exercise!" Nora exclaimed.

"Yeah, that definitely got the old heart pumpin'." Roman agreed.

"But it was also super fun! Seeing all the different monsters in action and what they could do, experiencing their attacks first hand and working out how to dodge or avoid them and the feeling that we saved people when we were done, it was all so amazing!" Ruby cheered.

"Yeah. And it was nice fighting alongside all of you. I know we all have our individual teams, but working together like that made us feel like we were all on one giant team." Blake said.

"Agreed. I still had a few reservations about working with humans, but after this, I definitely feel like I can trust you all." Adam admitted.

"Great. I'm glad you all had a good time and that you've all grown closer from this." Katana said.

"Although, I do have to say, it was a bit difficult- and rather annoying- to try dealing with new monsters we hadn't seen or heard of yet!" Weiss complained.

"Yeah, but then that takes the fun away of being surprised by new monsters showing up and the accomplishments of figuring monsters out yourselves. Hunters sometimes get surprised by monsters they haven't seen before, after all. They aren't just given a book with EVERY monster EVER in it and have to read that before they can go out in the field." Razara said.

"Right. Besides, there's always a chance you could run into entirely new monsters, anyway. There are some monsters even WE don't know about, after all. Like, I've heard Rathian and Astalos can actually mate together, so maybe there's a hybrid of the two we haven't seen before out there somewhere." Tekko added.

"So, who's fighting what next?" Blake asked.

"Well, Blake, since you asked, how about you?" The hostess offered.

"Alright, sure." The Faunus ninja agreed.

"Very well. I can actually think of an opponent that matches your skillset pretty well. Now, he's actually younger than you, but trust me when I say Peter Parker is no easy opponent." Katana warned her.

A/N: Well, there we go, guys! I know it's been FOREVER since I updated this story, but I hope this makes up for it. It's my first time writing a fight scene of such a massive scale, so let me know how I did. And yeah, I know I left out some of the heavy hitters, like obviously, Ibushi and Magnamalo, but I wanted to leave some bigger monsters for when they get their own chapters in Monstrous Education. Plus, if this does well and you'd like to see more, they could always do another Rampage.

[1] So, as I was typing this, I realized their is apparently a difference in the strongholds between single player and multiplayer. The model for the arena I used was the single player. My bad.

[2] This bit is a little hard without knowing how exactly Summer used to fight.
