Chapter Four: Under the Eclipse of a General's position.

A/N: Took a lot longer than I expected and it will be mostly be focused on Lynn and on Atmos. But I have more to say at the end, so please enjoy the show and try to spot the two Movie Easter eggs in the chapter.

Falmart—Atmosia Hill—Cyclonian Fortress—Vengeance Expansion Squad One.

General Dove strolled through her squad members with a small smirk as she and General Starling inspected them, they looked capable enough and determined a lot of them had been thought the 'Battle of Alnus Hill' but that was a small thing compared to what they going to do now. Properly expanding their foothold in this new world and make their presence known to as many as they could. The live remains of Lord Dulan were found not soon after he was healed as much as he could have been by a version of the Nil Crystal but only for about three hours enough time so he could speak properly and think straight absently Dove wondered how the natives would react to his story. They'll probably believe he had lost his mind and disregard his advice. She thought as she came to a stop at a particular tall Shadow officer with crimson red hair and was extremely thin but she carried two of the newer swords that was longer than most. Dove asked about the soldier's name and rank. "Who are you exactly?" The officer looked down at the green haired general and answered in a calm voice.

"My name is Tekla, I am relatively new to this position but I took part in the final night attack on the hill." Starling nodded approvingly she proceeded to speak with Dove on the shadow officer. "Tekla is a newly appointed officer, who has a gained a reputation for getting information from enemies who do not feel like cooperating with us and she is also extremely skilled on the battlefield." Dove studied the officer, she had to be about six feet tall wanting to actually see if she was right she asked. "How tall are you Officer Tekla?" Her reply was immediate. "I am six feet tall and about ten inches, General." Dove was impressed the last thing she said before moving on was that Tekla would be in charge of the Shadow unit who are being deployed in the security forces.

As Dove and Starling continued their inspection they checked on the transportation vehicles in case of enemy attacks or refugees fleeing the carnage as the probes from the scouting missions reported that the Saderan Empire had already begun to use scorched earth tactics against them to prevent their presence from becoming any larger than it already had. It was of course a foolish decision that would cost them in the end but that was for later and the decision was made to keep a façade of compassion for any villagers who were coming to the Cyclonian's hill for aid or protection. The façade spread down the hill like a fire in a dry forest and it had helped the expansion team learn what to expect when they left. The Switchblades for the regular army portion of expansion forces were the newer jet models and were more mobile than the civil war counterparts. And the Switchblades for the Shadows were also jet engines but were equipped with the megaphone to sometimes release the sound of howling screams to cause a blow to enemy morale.

Dove was actually quite impressed by how well they preformed against the enemy and was eager to continue to use them, her attention was focused on calling the role of the individuals who were to accompany her on the journey. They were capable soldiers all were wearing their military uniforms of long sleeved crimson red and combat boots with each having a elaborate scabbards that were worn for ceremonies in front of the two generals due to this being a sort of inspiration before they could be taken out to the unknown world. who had been selected carefully for their mission in a potentially hostile environment even though the enemy was clearly backwards in terms of military power and strategy the local civilian population was decided to be crucial for integrating the locals into the structure of the Cyclonian empire. Dove noted that the main idea for getting them on their side was to wear a different façade of civilly designed to ease their presence and only to Discard it when they were in combat or when they were in a hostile situation.

The rest were part of the Shadow agents had been detailed to act as a security force and a mobile intelligence gathering unit. Agent Telka was the overall commander of the security unit but had been instructed to follow General Dove's instructions witch she obeyed. The other transportation vehicles aside from the already listed switchblades were two mobile troop carriers with defensive weapons and extra Crystal ammunition that provided most effective on the monstrous creatures as well as the dragons that the scientists had decreed were more than enough to kill any beasts that could threaten them. The transport vehicle were also going to be primarily to be used for any local who wanted to be cooperative in dealing with the Cyclonian army or more likely to be used in transporting bandits foolish enough to get in their way. The last vehicle they had was a sort of mobile medical facility that was to provide medical treatment to any soldiers or local who needed it. This newly built vehicle was manly meant for propaganda purposes for the uneducated masses who dwelled within this strange landscape. As the Expansion force began to move out of the Base and down the fortifications they set up all around it Dove looked back slightly at the Cyclonian fortress with a sense of pride.

This is a very good beginning for us. She thought. I can't wait to see wear this task will take me and my squad. With that final thought she ordered all switchblades to take to the skies and begin their journey to a village near by.

Dirt road to a nearby village.

Flying above the main path once her force was properly down the hill. Dove took a deep breath and looked down at the ground of grass and trees and found it strange that there was no high altitude point like what any of them were used to but thankfully it wasn't a issue so far at least. A circle of assembled stone was spotted in the distance as the expansion force was traveling at a modest speed for now. No need to waste Crystal fuel on needless shows of over awe just yet and Dove wanted to save as much energy for a possible conflict with possibly hostile natives, looking at her nearest companion of Shadow agent Telka who had been given a Switchblade specially designed for her unique hight and the agent noticed her looking at her and asked.

"What is on your mind, General?" Dove focused her attention back to ground before answering. "What exactly do your team plan to do when we reach the village?" Though the crisp air the particular tall agent answered with attention. "What ever you're orders are, but I will also detail the majority of my team to be on high alert for any suspicious activity as we descend." The descend was coming fast and their first stop was a burned out little village near their preferred destination because Dove wanted to see if their were was anything that could be salvaged from this once prosperous little village. There was a couple of wells which were confirmed to be poisoned by a toxicity test and most of the burned out huts were useless, but there was a surprise found in a different nearby well unlike the others found to be contaminated this one had a native female unconscious and was slightly burned. General Dove immediately ordered that she be treated for her wounds by one of the medical Crystals and see if they could ask her questions when she awakens slowly as to not overwhelm her.

A few moments of tense silence followed as the group began to gather their surroundings and collect any information from the chard remnants of this once small village. It was evident that a dragon might've been the one to set this place on fire since some of the remnants were buried but looked smashed and impossible for a simple soldier to accomplish. Even if the enemy had enough to possibly to cause damage like this, their enemy leader Molt was trying to make their own supply lines tenuous enough for a weak spot as General Starling had suggested in a earlier meeting. This would not be a concern at least not until it was properly set up and even after that it would only be a small issue, and would be dealt with when the time we came.

General Dove had requested that they stay within the destroyed village for the duration until their unconscious possible Allie was fully recovered and had answered sufficient questions about the circumstances surrounding this place and about her relationship with the Saderan empire. The entire group obeyed and began to set up a better perimeter of security around their mobile medical unit.

Atmos —Terra Klockstoppia— The Cyclonian Empire—Main Throne Room.

General Lynn paced into the main throne room of the castle with chosen members of her staff and came to a stop as she looked at Regent standing there in the center of the room with a few men of Klockstoppia's Generals or what passed for a General here. She had arrived to the terra only about two days earlier and had become equated with the man who had been placed as a cooperating partner with the local government but as Master Cyclonis said he was extremely tiresome.

Lynn made it clear what would happen if her orders were ether ignored or treated as a matter of importance. Once she saw his behavior and the situation was pitiful for the entire terra was by her view backwards and she had been able to get a majority of the files they needed for comparing the outdated tactics of the newer if even more primitive enemy. They looked at the Cyclonian Officials with a mixture of fear and loyalty. They know that they are still here only at my command. Lynn thought, she'd meet with the official in command of this terra and they'd personally given complete authority over this entire terra to her. Lynn was slightly taken aback by that but quickly jumped into the role as she ordered at hand cannon point for members of her staff to help persuade their hosts into giving her the information she needed.

She had even meet with the princess and that was surreal for anyone who had met the Master's personal tactical adviser. But the princess was extremely naive about almost anything outside her little terra. It was sort of adorable and very pitiful for her to not know what was going on outside their home. Lynn inwardly sighed and trampled over to the local officials who stood there and waited for her to rain down the rage that had been brewing within her since her arrival. But to their astonishment she merely marched in front of them and began to ask for them to introduce themselves. Once she had all their names down she began to ask them individually about their military strategy.

The meeting lasted for about two hours and was productive in a sense that Lynn had the gained a sizable amount of information about the differences between this there current enemy and this terra's culture. It was very fascinating and a detailed report was already being drafted by her and various members of her staff to both the Master and General Starling on the other side of the gate, the latter of the two would receive them in separate times even with the advance of their radios and transportation of letters was seen as a old way of getting secret information to another high ranking member of the military. Reviewing the documents the locals gave her paints a pitiful portrait of how they were trained to handle anything other than a general charge rather than say a air strike from above or a threat from their flanks or a sneak attack from the rear of the defense line.

A few more days of gathering information about their tactics was made before a recall letter from Cyclonis herself demanding that she and her team report to Terra Bogaton for a new assessment and receive a reward for their efforts thus far. Lynn read the letter more carefully and once done nodded sharply then relayed the message to her staff who packed their supplies and then got on their switchblades and flew off into the clouds.

Atoms—Terra Bogaton—Cyclonian empire's Top Weapons,Armor, Aviation, and Space Research Facility.

General Lynn and her colleagues touched down on the third landing site after a long four day journey through the skies of Atmos with a few stops for a brief rest and fuel for their possible longer trips to the capital of the empire or a flight to Atmosia. From their perspective the welcome ceremony was a nice surprise, there were an assemblage of soldiers with their decorative scabbards for their swords and some of them had meals for ether bravery or distinguished themselves from the rest of their colleagues in some manner. Lynn had already been given a premonition to a General and was in theory outranked them all due to her position as a leader of their elite soldiers, and all present here possibly knew that it gave her a sense of everyone around her to act like they was walking on eggshells loaded with dynamite. It also gave her a sense of power that she had to remember not to allow to go to her head.

As her group walked to the end of their welcome ceremony they were greeted by a large crowd of scientists who all wore their white lab coats and many carried clipboards in one hand and saluted with their other before a single female stepped forward and greeted them properly. "Welcome to Terra Bogaton, General Lynn." The scientist gestured to her team. "And you're colleagues." She then swiftly turned to the gathered staff and ordered them back to their various areas of assignments and quickly began to introduce herself. "I am The Head Scientist of the empire's weapons division, my name is Alva and I am personally excited to introduce you all to our latest technological breakthrough." She lead Lynn's group to a transit stop and they all proceeded to look around the sites as the transit system sped through the desert. Some noticed the lights installed here and there for the night patrols and possible safety maintenance checks with the trait rail system.

The ride was uneventful for the most part but the new transportation system was proven extremely efficient and fast. Improved transportation could improve the lifestyle of everyone in every terra but she knew that this was fairly new and problems were evident it was probably a good idea to start out small on their best engineering teams close by to see how best to improve their performance and overall quality before moving into civilian service. Lynn had these thoughts spinning around in her head for the majority of the time walking to the test facility and was very surprised by how much the facility was built to look like a upside down triangle in Lynn's mind it reminded her of a lot of the sockets that were used for torch lights in the capital tower.

Banners of the Cyclonian empire's insignia fluttered in the wind that were mounted on certain posts of the tower and the general noticed something off about the banners as they passed through the building's main entrance and commented on what she had seen. "What exactly was that symbol below our empire's insignia?" She asked the scientist. The lead scientist looked at where the General was gesturing toward one of the fluttering banners that depicted the Cyclonian bird in its usual position of spying on its dying prey but there was also a depiction of a Energy Sword and a Hand Cannon in a cross formation there was even a crystal in the middle of the crossed weapons. Alva nodded in approval and answered. "The new arrangements under our empire's own insignia is to distinguish departments between the Aviation, Space, and Weapons of this terra, one of our head offices made the proposal for this distinguished symbol for helping newly arrived recruits and officers of the various departments to serve as a deterrent against the annoyance of confusion since nearly every facility was built identical to one another." The scientist sighed in frustration. "You have no idea how many times I personally have been playing tour guide because the new recruits were constantly entering the wrong facility." As they were lead to a elevator with windows exposing the riders to the landscape as it went up the many floors of the building.

Lynn saw something fall out of the corner of her eye and she could've sworn that it was a body falling to the ground as the elevator climbed up higher into the structure but decided not to comment until she was sure that was what she saw. Then when the elevator stopped at the appointed level and continued the walk through the corridors, the group began to pass through the white coats of the scientists who also were wearing two pins in their lapels, the first was a circular one that had the insignia of the Cyclonian empire on a gray background and the bird was light blue. The second just below the first circle device was also a circular device that depicted the same insignia as the one on the banner waving out the facility. It must have been added to differentiate between the various scientists who were stationed here and Lynn wounded if she and Dove would get new insignias to show their new premonitions for leading the new branch of the Master's inner circle it had not happened yet but she never could tell. Her primary focus was turning to a newer weapon she didn't recognize on a desk the scientist picked it up and brandished it to the crowd of soldiers then explained it's name and function.

"it is my privilege to introduce the Thunder-Massacre, which has been designed for our infantry forces on the ground and much like your Hand-cannon has been designed to have little need for reloading, thanks to our Crystal energy yet unlike the Cannon that our current infantry forces use this one can fire multiple times for quite a while. And is extremely light in terms of weight and can be used as a melee weapon due to the additional sharp long blade that could be added to the barrel of the weapon to help prevent enemies from getting too close." The scientist explained that the general and her colleagues, the Thunder-Massacre was a medium sized version of the smaller Hand-Cannon but with a very lighter design and could be held with both hands as well as a single hand weapon. It also had a double blade one that could be mounted on the front end and could also be used as a single blade for melee weapon if the user wanted to go back to the old fashioned method. The second blade was shorter and could be activated by pressing a small button on the middle of the wrist mount.

Lynn held the weapon in utter awe the scientist allowed her to hold and use it against one of the many corpses brought from the dead prisoners to be used to observe the effects on the enemy. She held it with both hands it felt just as they said extremely lightweight and she aimed the end of the device at a headless body that was also missing its legs but was being promoted up by two wooden posts that were used to impale the corpses, as Lynn took careful aim with the new device she found it had the same grip as her Hand-Cannon with that realization she easily fired at the center of the body and causing holes to appear in the body armor.

Lynn looked closer to view the damage from the new weapon and noticed that under the Hand-cannon this weapon did as the scientist had explained. "Promising, this is extremely promising." Lynn breathed a state of surprise. As she put the weapon back on the table and proceeded to ask if there were other types of ammunition available for it. The answer was that since the weapon basically had the same principles of the Hand-Cannon the ammunition was basically the same but could now be fired multiple times instead of just once per round. Lynn picked up the weapon again and then used the melee weapon in the back of it to stab the armor in the area she'd fired and proceeded to grunt with effort then cut a large gash over the corpse's upper body, the result was the open wound caused the chest to be exposed and broken bones to fall out with bloody organs protecting it. Lynn's entourage gave a mixture between fascination and utter disgust. The general look at the mess for a few moments before turning back to Alva with a nod of approval. "Our infantry will be very eager for this is changes everything." Her voice was laced with the excitement of a soldier who had their blood up.

"I'm glad you agree." An all too familiar voice said from a distance and Lynn, her staff and the scientist all turned to see the dark flowing robes of Master Cyclonis, leader of the Cyclonian empire. Completely covered in her dark purple robes she practically floated into the room as she and her Night crawlers guards looked at the crowd of officers and scientists under her command. Lynn as well as everyone else proceeded to make the fist and palm salute and after a moment for the Master to look at everyone they all rose as if they were controlled by one being then Alva stepped forward and proceeded to greet their leader. "Master, what an unexpected pleasure I wasn't aware you were on the faculty." The scientist replied in a calm voice as she and everyone else rose from their bowing position and stood at attention. Cyclonis waved it away and began to move to the weapon on the table as she picked it up then answered. "I requested that my visit not be made public as to not interfere with your demonstrations with General Lynn and her staff." Cyclonis went on waving away a servant who had asked if she would like to be given refreshments. "I have come to view the new infinity weapon performance is against a enemy charge, the guards and science officers are setting up a proper field test as I speak." She gestured to the next room around the hall with the weapon. "You are all welcome to come and join us." The Master's voice was laced with pleasure and Lynn couldn't exactly say 'NO' to the leader of All Atmos so she agreed without any hesitation.

One by one she and her staff filed out after Cyclonis and her guards then moved to a similar if bigger room where other scientists and faculty guards were working to sure the monitors were in working order and the Master requested that sufficient chairs be placed in for her additional guests to witch her orders were immediately complied and other guards came in with enough chairs to provide Lynn's staff comfortable sitting arrangements. Once everyone was settled a different scientist stepped in front of the group of Guests and began to explain this newly developed infinity weapon that was to be used against dragons, large groups of enemies or other monsters that were observed to live in the backwards world. It was a large metal tube with some leather painted in crimson red panels to cover its various sections making it look like a strange crimson medium sized tube with a metal handle that resembled the kind that would be used for a draw bridge except it was obviously made to be some kind of launcher.

Lynn had been curious about something that nagged her then asked if she could get a better look at the weapon up close as it was passed around first to Lynn and then to Cyclonis who still held the first weapon she grabbed from the other room. The Master gave it to one of her Night Crawlers who held it without question before she in turn observed the newer infantry weapon with something approaching predatory glee. She activated a sort of scope that would be aloud the user to see its target closer than the enemy would be able to see them. She tested that function for a few minutes before giving the weapon to one of Lynn's staff members then proceeded to grab the Thunder-Massacre from her Night Crawler guard and turned to the scientist who introduced the strange launcher. "How effective have these proven to be against this enemy?" She asked in a general tone.

The scientist cleared her throat and answered calmly. "I've sent members of the guards to collect some prisoners for a proper field demonstration you requested which will be diverted into three parts. The first part will be a single soldier with the weapon then the second part will be multiple soldiers with it perhaps five soldiers and then the final part of the demonstration will have a soldier flying as a co-pilot and attacking from the air." The scientist gestured to the monitor as the last of Lynn's staff member carefully placed the weapon back on the table. Everyone then took their seats and waited for the demonstration to begin properly. Down below on the testing ground there were a few of hastily constructed tents and some makeshift walls of stone, concrete and wood that were to used to see the effectiveness of enemy fortifications.

In to view was a prisoner transport ship coming from the east and began to descend from the clouds and hovering above the ground and tiny shapes were visibly tossed out of the massive transport then went back into the eastern sky clouds. The scientist spoke to the group in a monotone voice. "The first phase will involve some of our colleagues on the ground, they should be arriving shortly." As the scientist finished speaking a probe observing the group began to play on the screen. There were about nine of them dressed in the army uniforms of their main enemy, the Saderan Empire though it was difficult to identify them because they all had similar uniforms to their various allied armies and it scarcely mattered to Cyclonis in any case. Their expressions were much like those previously used in these experiments: confused, frightened, utterly helpless and completely unable to comprehend what was going on.

A small smirk began to emerge on their leader's face as the nine began to gaze out at approaching shapes in the distance. That was the impression Cyclonis wanted to make for any prisoner who was in their custody.

'These imbeciles will never be able to grasp that they were out matched the moment they stepped foot on my soil!' Cyclonis thought in silent rage. As Nine soldiers of the Cyclonian army all of whom had been trained extensively with the newly created weapon and their own standard weapons for any member of the Cyclonian military they were more than capable of handling this type underdeveloped and poorly experienced enemy.

Everyone sat with interested eyes at what was about to be come of these poor insignificant prisoners who would probably not likely be missed by their own leader who by all accounts sent them to ether conquerors of a primitive civilization. But now that it hadn't happened they were out of their depth. And the Master wanted to make sure that they fully grasp that if any prisoner captured by her empire would be begging for the slightest hint of mercy and would find none.

Test Ground Six.

Gazing around their surroundings were about nine soldiers who were captured in the Battle of Terra Atmosia, they were fortunate enough not to be immediately interrogated and instead each of them were placed in a massive flying beast of metal and sent to this place. Each of them had said the same story after being captured by these savages then shoved off the metal beast they were blindfolded with a bag then frogmarched into a cell for a single person. They were feed by a passing food cart that came by three times a day. Some were more physically fit than others because they had lost hope in their 'invincible' empire had become nothing more than skeletons with lose skin hanging on their bodies. Some of them were a mixture between the two. It was clear that they were all being toyed with by the enemy and that they were brought to this desert for a purpose.

As one of the most fit soldiers in the group, a black haired man with a clean face and still had the delusion of the invincibility of the empire he served took charge of the other men. He was highest rank among them but a proper introduction of everyone was put aside for their was something coming into view from the south. It was the enemy. There strange flying creatures were approaching at speeds that seemed impossible for dragons to reach, they also seemed to act like cavalry horses would have when they landed the strange beasts didn't just briefly flap their wings and then land with grace but they seemed to be charging right towards them.

Someone began to take action and ordered that they should get into the nearby small sea of tents and arm themselves and prepare for an attack. Quickly running into the castle and then barricading the castle's doors with the Drawbar thanks to two of the soldiers who were willing to fight back, after the little break they all looked around for weapons and found three crossbows with eight arrows and nine swords with shields. The impression remained many of the expansion war that the Crown Prince Zorzal El Caesar had lead against the Warrior-Bunnies. Unlike that campaign many veterans sent to subjugate this barbaric enemy they were unable to admit that they were out of their understanding with their circumstances and those who clung upon their delusions of self righteousness in that their empire was going to win over this pitiful enemy in the end of the war as they had done for all of their history.

The enemy beast was coming fast enough that it was kicking up dusty sand much like a horse would have when a messenger was coming from a great distance or from an entire Calvary charge was preparing for an assault but something felt different about this as it looked to be picking up speed even more than a normal Calvary charge would. What made this unsettling was that there weren't even two of the enemy beasts coming out to meet them but only a single one that seemed to be going faster than anything anyone in the entire continent of Falmart had seen before.

Men were reading themselves with varying levels of confidence and tried to find the best weapons they were capable of using. As the enemy approached with striking speed they all watched as a cloud of dust spread over their faces. Blinding them all from seeing the enemy beast's appearance, the dust hadn't even fully settled yet when something ejected fire from the back of a strange device that was obscured by the shadow of dust that launched a projectile into a wooden barricade that exploded, it also set two unlucky soldiers on fire and even sending one of them flying into the sky and crashing into a far off tent.

No one had time to properly recover from the shocking destruction before another projectile landed on another section of the wooden barricade and sent more splinters of wood and debris of dirt into the air causing three more casualties and actually sending two more people into the air this time. A second one single second and the others who could see the flying bodies saw they were also on fire but one of them was missing his left arm.

The dust finally settled down and the remaining soldiers could see what the enemy beast looked like and it was strange. It appeared to be shaped like a house but also had been armored in red paint and black circular wheels on it. That meant it couldn't have been an animal could it? The enemy soldier had been wearing the same uniform as the others during the first battle on in the enemy lands. Everything seemed to halt instantly as the five remaining soldiers of the Sadera empire realized that there were more enemy beasts flying in the sky and they began to be going faster than the first and only a few seconds later they began to appear to fire the same explosive device as the one on the ground.

The attack struck them with thunderous force setting at lest three tents on fire and burning them down as if their enemy willed fire itself from the sky. Some of the soldiers were struck by the flaming wreck of tents and cut by wooden splinters then were set ablaze, it was as if the enemy had been blessed by their own gods with magic powerful enough to kill their enemies from the sky or shadows. As the smoke began to clear again and a single enemy soldier was walking toward the remaining soldiers.

There were only about two possibly three remaining soldiers who knew that they only could surrender as they knew that resistance was pointless. The enemy soldier who had been advancing on them practically barked out orders for the survivors to drop their weapons and hold their hands in the air as they held up their strange luncher just as the other flying creatures were landing nearby. Two other enemy soldiers leap forward to bind their hands together with metal cuffs not to unlike how the vassals or their own empire would use rope or metal chains.

The moment the soft click of the metal cuffs were heard the enemy soldiers immediately held a small pink crystal to each of their faces as they all fell into unconsciousness.

Observation Station Three (Four Minutes earlier.)

General Lynn watched the first new infantry weapon strike with speed and efficiency. Her thoughts were a mixture between sickly fascination, astonishment and curiosity the implications for what this new weapon could accomplish in terms of the new portable rocket launcher from infantry was an incredible revelation to warfare and the fact that it was interlay on their side made her feel a sense of wonder at what else would she see in her lifetime. The Mauve haired General turned her attention to her Master who seemed to make a quick decision as she spoke an order to some of the soldiers in room and they hurried to comply with their leader's command.

Lynn's attention was brought back to the live footage of the process of the soldier who wilded the new hand rocket launcher as they seemed to be ordering the remaining prisoners to surrender just as two other soldiers drew their Hand-Cannons.

One of the surviving prisoners was on the ground missing his arm and was badly burned as the two prisoners were visibly upset and disgusted by his cries of pain, one of the soldiers guarding them with their Hand-Cannons briskly moved towards them and proceeded to use the blunt end of their weapon to crush the wounded prisoner's head in, before appearing to be muttering something under their breath and then along with the other guard helped drag the two now unconscious prisoners onto a Switchblade and then fly them towards the Observation Station.

After a few minutes the pair of prisoners were brought up to where the Master and Lynn's staffs as well as Lynn and the Master herself had been watching the show since the beginning. The two prisoners were flanked by two guards who at the command of Cyclonis had brought the same crystal to their faces and they were immediately awoken as if they were doused with ice water.

Each prisoner looked at the group with confusion, terror and panic. The Master spoke and introduced herself as one of the guards translated for the prisoners. The pair quickly turned their attention to Cyclonis with undisguised disbelief, hatred and downright murderous rage. Lynn felt her pulse quickening and had to restrain herself from unsheathing her sword and cutting the pair's stomachs open. Such arrogant behavior Lynn thought then reluctantly admitted to herself. They must be trying to put up a brave face in the presence of someone so powerful especially after what they just saw. Lynn and the rest of the audience were treated to a different spectacle as Cyclonis ordered the two enemy soldiers be separated and ordered the entire group take their seats again. The Master readied her weapon she'd held since the entire group had moved to this observation station, proceeded to fire five shots into the left prisoner's chest and he crumpled to the floor.

The remaining prisoner struggled against his captors and began a frantic attempt to scream but was quickly hit in the back of the head by a guard with the blunt end of their sword. The group of Lynn's staff officers and Lynn herself were generally impressed with the small display, the Master herself had immediately ordered the guards to take the body away and dispose of it in the usual way. Then she handed over the weapon to Lynn and gave the order to fire at the remaining prisoner when she was ready, after a brief standoff between the two one with a mixture of rage and malicious glee and the other was of fear and horror.

Lynn proceeded to take six shots at the prisoner, one of them were aimed at the lower torso and the last two were fired into the skull, while the majority shot were fired into the shoulders and upper chest. The prisoner twitched for a few moments as his body slammed into the ground with a solid thud. The mauve haired general was amazed at how easy the weapon could kill an opponent as well as cripple their mobility similar to how an opponent could be hit at a certain vulnerable point and then be weakened with a broken leg or arm.

She certainly did not want to be on the receiving end of these weapons and again she felt these weapons would have profound effects on the society of the empire and showed that if she was still fighting in the crumbling resistance she absolutely would be against these powerful, extremely dangerous weapons and most likely would be dead as easily as the arrogant creature in front of her. Inwardly she shuddered at the thought of the poor remaining resistance members out there somewhere and was grateful that the majority of the population was finally accepting of Cyclonis's victory.

The onlookers of scientists and Lynn's staff applauded the display of effortlessly ease in the execution, a small discussion emerged as the second dead body was taken away, it mainly was about how quickly the weapon could be replaceable and the possibility of improvements, another second focus of discussion was about the rapid change in tactics to the many in the room and the military as a whole they were constantly concerned about losing the old ways of fighting in melee combat against the enemy face to face.

The discussion was quickly stopped by Cyclonis holding up a hand to call for quiet, in the silence the Master of All Atmos spoke with the same monotone tone that she was known and feared for.

"The simple fact of any innovative technology will always be seen as either a marvel of progress to the public or be seen as something that is unnatural to traditionalists who are far too afraid and narrow minded to see beyond their limited world view,"

Cyclonis gestured toward the Thunder-Massacre witch was given to a nearby scientist who was currently walking to take it back to its room. She then turned back towards the various officers and scientists who were looking towards their leader with enthusiasm and determination. "We are on the threshold of a new chapter of our empire's weaponry and machinery, yet we must always remember that our experience is our greatest strength along with our strength of innovative ideas that prove our ability to adapt far quicker than our opponents much like how our instincts tell us to adapt to unpredictable situations in a hand to hand combat fight." Cyclonis looked at the various faces looking at her most were nodding at her words some like General Lynn nodded but were contemplating the role of the new direction that the empire was headed.

The Master then ordered the various scientists to present themselves to Lynn and both of their respective staffs. "Please applaud these individuals for their efforts in bringing our empire into a new era of innovation, advance technological advancements and newly developed tactical warfare capabilities that will allow us to continue to expand our empire to the stars." The military officials all clapped vigorously for a few moments. The scientists all smiled at the complaints lavished upon them by their leader and the military officers who were keen on learning just how the new technology worked.

They concluded for a lunch break then as they were escorted to the dining hall where everyone sat down to enjoy their respective meals together and every so often some of the respective officers were able to review the various films on the performances of the strange tube launcher. Lynn realized that no one had asked for the weapon's name so she turned to the nearest scientist and asked. The scientist explained that. "The name was thrown around and the soldiers who had the honor of testing it named it: the Sky Reaper ."

The Sky Reaper was an excellent opportunity for improving their position in the air and ground combat operations, as everyone finished their meals Lynn was politely ordered to stay behind with Cyclonis herself and a few of her Night Crawler guards. Both of them looked at each other with a smile of pride and appreciation, Lynn for the moment wondered just what the leader of all Atmos would bestow upon her now, she had already been promoted to a very high rank within Cyclonis's inner circle. On top of her being one of the three generals who brought the doorway to another world on the other side into the Master's control Lynn was more than willing to prove that she had earned the titles and prestige that came with it.

Cyclonis spoke first and her voice held a sense of excitement as she sighed with relief. "You're going to be moved into a new headquarters for the Shadows, do you understand?" Lynn nodded briskly as Cyclonis continued. "The main reason I sent you out to Terra Klockstoppia was not just for the strategic planning that is common with our current enemy but because I needed a base of operations to house our newest branch of government intelligence gathering." The Master waved a hand dismissively and actually rolled her eyes in frustration before shaking her head and continuing. "I have so many projects in the works that even someone diligent with paperwork as I am can become overwhelmed with them." She chuckled lightly before she said. "You will be moved to a new location behind Polaris Pointe almost immediately it is very secure and has been designed for the interrogation of shall I say most fanatical prisoners of our enemy."

Lynn could only stare at the Master in shock Polaris Pointe was destroyed during the war and it would be impossible to reconstruct an entire Terra wouldn't it? "B-b-but Master Polaris Pointe was destroyed by the Scorched Variant during the war, how could this new Terra be so secure?" To say that the General was stunned was an understatement because Polaris Pointe was an impossible place to navigate though due to the fact that the wind storms were constantly moving in the area. The base that would have been secured there would have been right through the only known safe path for any vessel ether carrying supplies or transporting passengers.

After it was destroyed by the Scorched Variant when she was still on the side of the rebels the only thing that remained was a insignificant stump. Lynn had heard only rumors about the possibility of recreating the foundation to secure the arena in case of rebel attacks or since there were far fewer than when the war was ongoing there was always the usual level of security for military secrets that must be guarded from the public and military officials who didn't have the proper rank for those secrets. The realization that Lynn herself was now one of the few officers who had privilege to view such classified material was now only becoming more apparent and she must remember that she was probably only just scratching the surface of her position within the Master's inner circle.

Cyclonis herself waved her stunned statement away and calmly said. "You are still relevantly new to having a high rank and not to mention you and Dove are stuck with the constant confusion with this war with the backwater empire." She laced the last two words with acid before continuing with a huff. "I believe it's time for you to properly get settled into your new rake as one of the two leaders of the Shadows." Lynn was lead to a corridor with the Master and her Nightcrawler guards, She witnessed Cyclonis order a messenger to inform the scientists that she and Lynn would be departing within the hour and then to tell Lynn's staff to head to Terra Cyclonia until they were ordered by her to arrive at the appointed place in a few hours or days at least.

Terra Mal Formé. —Cyclonian empire's temporary headquarters of the Shadow division.

General Lynn had already been awe struck at both her advanced position within the military hierarchy of the Cyclonian empire and with her privileged status at being one of the first to view the immensely powerful weapons that were being developed by the Master's best scientific minds and of course the Master herself was known for being extremely intelligent and the creator of various weapons that were infamous in the latter half of the final years of ending the civil war.

She had been able to get old records of some of her creations to review when she had enough time to do such things as her busy schedule would permit when she first got back from Fort Atmosia, Lynn had been able to get a brief summary of most of the weapons that Cyclonis had attempted to obtain in order to turn the tide in favor of her empire and what she saw now was a testament to how fast the empire grew in terms of technology, innovation and imagination.

The Terra was near Polaris Pointe, yet it was far to the east and unlike a natural created Terra this one actually levanted with the help of a device from the far side of Atmos it also worked with the ever present storm to act like a feather in the wind.

The large Crystals were giving a reddish pulsing glow every so often and were of course designed to be protected from damage by the elements and other more deliberate attacks from fanatical enemies trying to gain a foothold over the public, unlikely as that was to happen with the civilian populace becoming more and more tired of the rebels reprisals. But the Master was never one to take chances with the more feverish delusional people who couldn't accept that they had already lost the war, were now prisoners of war and were probably never going to go home.

The Terra, Lynn was approaching was to be a newly established prison for intelligence gathering and keeping the prisoners who were designated as fanatical or unwavering in their beliefs that their arrogant, primitive, and naive empire was going to be victorious in the end. Cyclonis herself had given Lynn essentially ownership over the entire prison and freely granted her the authority to do whatever she wished in her own words she said.

"They are appallingly arrogant, and I want to exploit that for their own arrogance and their dogma of being unstoppable shall be their undoing, to that end I am giving you your first base of the Shadow operations to make some examples of them, compassion is something that they will be denied the moment an enemy soldier steps foot on our soil whether that is on our world or territory we conquer until their entire world is under my control" She remembered how Cyclonis waved that last phase away with a dismissive hand before she shook her head in anger then continued to speak with her voice rising with the signature distortion that came from the power within her.

"Unfortunately my opinion is that we must lure the enemy into a false sense of security occasionally bleeding them into more desperate and grave situations, thanks to their cowardly use of slave labor used to 'assist'."

The Master almost spat the word. "Their higher ranking officers we have a very good idea of how they operate and soon we will have a map better than anything the enemy can imagine. She looked right in to Lynn's eyes as she gave her smile that still gave her chills right though her bones. "You are going to set examples for the more arrogant high ranking officials we have as prisoners under my authority you have the power to do anything you want to them but I must strongly urge you to leave them for now, is that perfectly clear General?" Once Lynn nodded fervently and answered with a confident. "Yes, Master I Understand." She was dismissed from Cyclonis's office and was taken to her newly appointed battleship. The ship itself was in time going to be taken apart in pieces then reassembled on the other side of the gate. Yet for the moment she enjoyed the experience of being the commander of her own ship.

Inwardly Lynn still shivered at the way Cyclonis's voice was so distorted by her pure hatred for the enemy, she immediately shook the thought away as she turned to driver of her newly gifted battle destroyer she had the privilege of naming it, she had immediately christened it Mauve's Blade. Lynn herself was currently dressed in her finest tailored military uniform with newly adorned badges that represented her battles of both the opening unprovoked attack on Terra Atomisa, as well as her most recent airborne assault in the final night battle against the 'So-called allied armies' that dared to oppose their superior force.

Her mauve hair was in a standard upright position of her choice, her brown combat boots were polished to a shin, as well as her scabbard with it's newly polished silver dragon design. She had been in a near constant state of shock and awe since being taken back to the Cyclonian capital and then being lavishly given these many gifts she received from Cyclonis herself, but she made no illusions that great things were to be accepted of her own actions and she was most determined to show what she was capable of doing the moment she arrived on her new prison.

The prison itself was incredible in the design of a one hundred and fifty wide dome surrounded by four large docks and a least two perimeter walls that were probably built to accommodate the inmates, there was probably a courtyard inside if Lynn guessed or perhaps the center was for the administration personnel.

As her personal battleship docked she could see that a welcoming ceremony was being held and she was quickly getting used to fanfare, as it was more or less a sign of respect in her preference. She knew that one day she would probably grow tired of it all but right now it felt good. After the usual routine ceremony ended she immediately ordered that she be taken on a proper tour of the facility from the officer who had greeted her so politely when they exchanged their titles. Lynn looked around the various grounds of ether the assembled troops of security forces that were starting to move back to their positions, or the giant dome structure that seemed to loom over them all as if it was a planet beginning to create an artificial eclipse.

Lynn turned her attention to the entrance door which was a standard two way doorframe with elaborate decorative carvings that seemed to resemble a growth of vines. As the doors were opened by two guards who flanked each side and she stepped inside the immense structure Lynn found herself standing in front of a large crowd of people who all wore the same black suit and pants of the organization that she was leading.

She was more than a little nervous especially when the crowd looked at her like she was meant to give a speech, yet she knew that this would probably be a moment for her to show that she was a capable leader, clearing her throat she spoke in a calm and confident manner. "Everyone I am General Lynn and I am sure you all are very aware of the current war that has been forced upon us by savages and their 'So-called invincible army.'—" There was a great deal of laughter and anger grunts Lynn let it die down before she continued. "I fully intend to give a proper speech when my inspection is done until that is done please continue with your work as normal, you are all dismissed." Lynn noticed that the room she was standing in was very large especially when empty of agents. She also noticed some of the people who went back to work were in their own rooms presumably she guessed that they were personal offices.

The officer who had the duty of showing her around proceeded to explain. "This facility is still relatively in the beginning stages of it's operation and we are still working to get everything we require for the administration personnel." The officer then jested to the main door. "Please follow me and I will show you the rest of the facility." Lynn nodded. "I will put a request out for the right set of desks and other items to make the facility more efficient possibly even arrange some spectacle for the new arrivals of prisoners once we firmly get everything settled."

Lynn followed the officer out through the main door then proceeded to walk into a hallway where there were a seemingly endless line of doors that flanked each side. Lynn noticed that they each had been numbered and were all standard single doors that were commonly seen in the capital's tower of Terra Cyclonia, there were also overhanging torches that were glowing with purple crystal light, there was also a long black rug that seemed to stretch from one end of the hallway to the other. Lynn was very pleased with the design thus far especially since the officer explained that the general prepuce was that the guards or the officers themselves would march or drag prisoners into a room and then the officers would tell them that they were essentially out of their element and could either lie to them or simply begin using Crystal torture techniques that usually would be banned from military police and seen as being too harsh even for the standards of their own military.

But Master Cyclonis was very determined to make sure that this part of her military was as extremely loyal to her as her personal guard of NightCrawlers. She had never been blind to the fact that her top military commanders were often far too power hungry and had attempted to sage power from her, until the war ended she could only excuse their behavior due to the fact that she needed them, but since the war was over and ended in the complete obliteration of her enemies. She saw great potential in Lynn to become a feared leader to anyone that dared to challenge her rule.

Lynn herself nodded to the officer as they both walked into another hallway identical to the first. They both proceeded to walk through identical hallways for more than an hour each was apparently a room meant for interrogation by one or two agents who would take a single prisoner from a single cell for one prisoner on a lower floor.

As Lynn was finally able to walk through the identical large doors down another long hallway that didn't have any doors yet had a few corridors that spread across three hallways that went left, right and center. The pair of them went down the right corridor then to another large door and into a large room with remotely looked like the main entrance to the building but it had a second floor which seemed to have a balcony which reminded her of the design of the opera house on Terra Nova, yet you were to sit down in one of the seats there wasn't a stage that would be seen in a normal theater.

But the stage had a small table with a couple of chairs that positioned so anyone sitting on the stage would be looking at a square painted in the center of the stage. Once Lynn got up there the guide explained that this was one of the courtrooms where the prisoners had show trials and they were sort of like a little play meant for a purpose of toying with the mental state of a prisoner who would believe that they had been entitled to a civil trial.

After a few moments of silence Lynn hummed in thought before she looked at the guide and asked. "How many of these rooms do we have?" "About four of them and the people meant to view the process are made up of our agents who are normally here before their departure for their days off, and before you ask we do make sure that the prisoner is unarmed and we do not execute them in this room." The guide added.

"We chose to have them taken to the different level for that and then ether use the remains for melee combat purposes or just simply dump them into the wasteland." She shrugged as if it made no difference to her.

Lynn looked around the room with a sense of bemusement and a sense of predatory glee at how a prisoner must react to having a façade of civility. She then was escorted through the rest of the facility since it was essential identical to what Lynn had seen thus far there was not much to see other then being told that the facility was specifically designed to be a maze for prisoners when Lynn remarked how the entire building needed to ensure that it would be functional for the agents and other members of the operation. The guide had been adamant that Cyclonis had already developed protocols for the entire building and its agents.

Lynn could see some signs written in their language every so often that proclaimed the room that they hung over the top of the various doors and long hallways, particularly ones that were designed for interrogation rooms as some hallways and rooms were built different sizes for various purposes that ranged from interaction with a prisoner, tight spaces to keep the prisoner from getting too much space if they became too anxious and began to fight.

Sometimes the guide would list off some of methods that they were able to use but since they were on a tight schedule she summarized them with a few examples. Flogging with a Crystal whip or being burned with Blazer Crystals, taken to the highest level and dropped from it and landing on a prepared landing pad etc.

Or even just tying their hands together and dragging them through the sky while the rope or chain is tied to a Switchblade Elite. Lynn was rather impressed with the sheer level of authority that was given to the agents under her command and came upon a very disturbing thought, a thought that she would have to remember to ask Cyclonis herself. She and the guide came to a stop at the top floor, the final stop of her tour where a pair of double doors were that had been ingrained with a plaque that read: General Lynn, Commander of the Terra Mal Formé facility. Lynn nodded in approval as the guide pointed out. "This is your personal office at least until we get the proper utilities in order." The guide gestured to another set of dual doors with a similar plaque right next door to her own. "Over there is General Dove's." Lynn nodded thinking about just what she wanted to do with the rest of her day since she finally had the chance to do something with her free time for the first time since coming back to Atmos.

She decided with little hesitation that she wanted to visit her home Terra, and hopefully she would see her family again for the first time since Cyclonis declared war against the Saderan Empire. She had of course sent radio transitions from the capital after her impromptu rise in the ranks of the Master's inner circle, she reflected on just how much her home life had improved since she had rejoined the ranks of the Cyclonian army.

She immediately began to request a temporary Switchblade to take her to visit her family, which was immediately followed to the letter. As she was lead by two security officers to the nearest flight deck that was closest to her home terra. She thanked the officers and said that she would be back in a two days and ordered them to prepare a prisoner of their highest rank for a private interview when she returned.

Lynn sighed in relief as the Switchblade flew off into the clouds and toward her old home. She found herself extremely eager to be able to exorcise her new role as a leader of the new elite organization. Her first priority was to finally see just what she could do with her new position. She smiled unpleasantly in anticipation of just how much the prisoners would try to hold on to their dogmatic beliefs before she got slowly break them.

Terra Ray (Home Terra of General Lynn.)— The Cyclonian Empire.

Landing on one of the airfields of Terra Rex at around the time of sunset, General Lynn had radioed the civilian authorities of her arrival and had promptly dispatched that her arrival was to be kept secret so that she would be able to surprise her family.

She was greeted by some civilian officials who were astonished at her growing reputation, and kept quiet about her arrival as she requested. Lynn herself was overcome with a sense of calm, something that seemed unique since the beginning of this unprovoked war and she found herself realizing the significance that a visit like this meant and why she felt another feeling that rose along with her calming bliss.

It was the Bloodlust, the very same urgency that seemed to wash over her when the so-called 'Battle' of Terra Atmosia was won, and she took extraordinary care to harness it, to focus it on the enemy and their delusional inevitable victory. Lynn shook her head as she walked into the air control station to radio back to the capital of her current position and said that she would be ready for redeployment at a moment's notice.

Once that was done she waited a few minutes as the local ground crew oversaw the Switchblade and checked out every detail that could have come undone during the long flight here. Lynn gave the crew a greatful nod and climbed aboard then proceeded to drive to her family home occasionally passing by the local civilian villages or a few people walking around the local market.

She'd known the entire Terra since she was a little girl and everyone remembered her as just another young girl who wanted to make something of her life, to be special in spite of being a single farmer that normally would normally be wrangling scoats. She had been fascinated by the war and the very idea of getting to preform combat in the air was so exciting to her, the fateful day she was sent to the local market for some replacement farming equipment then she saw the poster.

Inwardly Lynn sighed as the memories of the Storm Hawks came back, if it hadn't been for the commander sent in to ensure a smooth transition of power over to the Cyclonian empire, she would very likely be one of the few pitiful prisoners in a Prison Terra thankful nothing like the one she had been given control over. But just as bad as the Manuva haired General shook her head and pressed the accelerator of her temporary Switchblade through the thick crowd and headed over a hill side that separated the two districts between the community center of the terra and the government sector.

She road a couple of hundred miles away from everything insight before finally stopping at the picket fence gate of the largest ranch on the terra then she got off and opened one of the doors to let herself in after that she quickly moved the vehicle inside and shut it closed before getting on again and driving normally up the dirt road to the large mansion. Lynn let her head turn left and right every now and then as she could see thousands of miles of open land and scoats absently chewing on sections of grass far too long to be cut down.

Another one of Cyclonis's gifts was the largest ranch that her family could own, it was remodeled after the transfer of power to the empire and when Lynn had provided her capabilities in acting quickly to the sudden attack by the barbaric Sadera empire invasion, the Master had of course reviewed her file and considered it a small gesture to remember what she was fighting for and a reminder of her roots. Lynn again was grateful for the opportunity that it gave her family and the entire ranch was very pretty. She came to a stop at the fountain and the front porch of the mansion.

The mansion was painted in a white color with blue interior timings that were reminiscent of the animals that were living on this terra. The flag pole proudly flew the black flag of the Cyclonian empire and a smaller flag of the Terra's insignia was displayed below it, Lynn couldn't help but smile as she stood there in her uniform with a sense of pride as the front door opened and her mother rushed out to see who it was.

"Hi Mom, I have some stories to share around the table, if the family is interested." Lynn said with a pleasant smile as she walked toward her mother and quickly embraced her in a hug.

Terra Atmosia—The Forest near the Gate to the Flatmart contain—The Cyclonian empire.

Master Cyclonis, Leader of the Cyclonian Empire and All of Atmos. Was in a pleasant mood as she watched two of the captured enemy animals—interrogated reports from the prisoner officers had translated the name as a 'horse.'— obeying their riders as they walked along the forest road. One of the riders was Chef Drag, leader of Terra Wallop.

He was brought here to help convince the other rider, a prisoner who had practically begged for mercy and showed a willingness to become a partner with the Cyclonian empire that he had to prove himself to Cyclonis herself that he was fully aware of the consequences if he had thus far failed to give them all information about the Saderan Empire. The prisoner was named Colt Formal, he was apparently a high noble who's possession and people been seen as a mere pawns to be sacrificed into the war on the basis of nothing more than mere expendables for the so called 'Great Emperor' of the Saderan Empire.

She shook her head slightly as if bemused by the thought of how many of the Formal's people were going through the process of being identified as their leader had again begged her to release them for fear of her forces retaliation. The paperwork was egregiously tedious and no doubt a more than a few of his people would disappear into the void of her government's bureaucracy. It was unfortunately a very common occurrence yet in this case the matter would be seen as a insignificant matter that could most likely help her and her scientists with living test subjects for years if not decades, hopefully centuries.

Cyclonis had ordered the section of the forest be cut off for her and her guests to take a stroll along the trail. She turned her head to the concrete walls around the gate, the very idea of conquering other worlds was an opportunity she would not waste and unlike the arrogant empire that attempted to conquer and turn them all into slaves by sheer brutality and overwhelming numbers. Cyclonis would make sure that the next world would be carefully planned and observed constantly before attacking.

She shook her head as it was for the future and turned her attention back to the two riders and smiled in that distinctive predatory way. The Wallops were going to asset with bolstering her numbers as well as provide evidence that Atmos had creatures that could fight as well yet they were treated as fellow citizens of the empire.

The Wallop's chief was eager to participate alongside his people in an up coming battle in a new world. He had been authorized by Cyclonis to bring his people's finest veterans from the war, and help construct the new battleship that General Lynn had named, which she found very fitting. A second ship was on it's way as well to be under the command of General Dove. The second ship would be built a few weeks after the first was completed on the other side of the Gate.

Cyclonis had already made the necessary preparations for the engineering teams that had been working on the newer ships since the beginning of the current war and a process has begun to take shape for self sufficient building and unbuilding parts for easily transporting them to military bases. She was very excited about the result of how the enemy would react and attempt to stop the oncoming storm her army will unleash upon them.

She was also pleased with the bizarre beasts that were extremely common on the other world, the 'horses' were very easily scared yet they were also very fast —Not as fast as a standard Switchblade but still considerably capable.—She had already given the order to use some of them on Terra Bogaton to use them with a hand full of prisoners in their air raids and against their infantry weapons, she expected the reports to come in a matter of days.

Another hand full of the strange animals were sent to Terra Gruesomus, to help understand their response to the biological warfare that was still being carefully studied, and evaluated for potential use against the enemy prisoners and their enemies on the battlefield.

Cyclonis had managed to properly read some of the reports from her scientists who were still working on Terra Gruesomus creating weapons that could help brake down the enemy's willpower in a more aggressive yet subtle way than normally experienced in combat. The reports were very promising and extremely useful. She already made an order for some of the more successful experiments to be duplicated and sent to the frontline in order to be used in interrogation techniques and a possible use on the battlefield.

The Master of All Atmos, also had a few of the creatures sent to a population center to entertain the public over on Terra Neon, as well as keep one for herself as a private pet. She shook her head trying to focus her attention on the matter in front of her. She walked over to a soldier who had come walking up to her with a message that had General Starling's official seal on the envelope. She quickly took it and thanked the soldier before opening it and scanned the letter. She walked briskly towards her guests who both stopped their conversation as she spoke in a quiet, curious tone. "Formal, I truly trust your commitment to our agreement will be fulfilled the moment I have you sent back though the gate?"

Count Formal nodded with no hesitation. "You have my word that I will honor your terms and my commitment to the fight." He said as carefully and calmly as he could. In truth he was terrified of the power that she possessed and he knew from their conversation that she had more power than the emperor could possibly hope to possess. He could only shutter at the idea of being a enemy soldier in the empire and the horrors that would await them if they were captured.

Cyclonis continued. "Within a few weeks we will be able to achieve an offensive victory then firmly cement my empire's position as a threat against Molt's pathetic forces." She paused and looked at Formal with keen interest. "You have given me along with my military advisers all that you have freely and openly but I will ask you for your opinion and advice on certain potential recruits. Please in the coming days when we are properly on the other side of the gate I would like you to tell my Head of the Armies and myself all about the so called 'Demi gods'. I believe they would make very useful allies." The count could only nod at that feeling unveiled by the way the former enemy leader spoke.

Terra Eclipse —Cyclonian empire— temporary headquarters of the Shadow division.

General Lynn changed the name of the terra shortly after she returned from her home visit, she was getting a sense of genuine respect for the agents who were stationed here, particularly in her almost joyful zeal of being able to get her own hands dirty. She had frequently and increasingly taken a deep enjoyment in combat and became strangely bloodthirsty in making her enemies suffer.

She along with her fellow officers and soldiers knew of the warrior's passion for inflicting suffering upon their enemies but it was always limited to the battlefield, which was normally fought in the skies high up in the most dangerous speeds. Rarely did it occur on the ground until the civil war broke out. The notion of inflicting pain upon a captured enemy was normally only used on Sky knights, and even then there were limitations on how far they could push their opponents until they were eventually rescued or killed after all they were still fellow soldiers who were under a delusion of being able to be independent from the Master's command.

But this current enemy was vastly different and more important they weren't even the same people as the Sky knights yet they were also delusional and more ferocious loyal in their belief that they would be victorious no matter the realty of the situation or the fact that the enemy possessed far better weapons and tactics than they could possibly imagine. Their victory was inevitable because it always had been. Lynn had personally interrogated some of the veterans from other wars of subjugation on the other side of the gate and was flat out astounded by their sheer ignorance of their situation. From their perspective it would make sense that they were vastly better than anything on their world and surely their might would triumph over anything they could come across.

Lynn likened it to a new recurrent going into a war zone for the first time and believing that they were the best in the world because they had been the best in mock battles with fixed rules, but then the reality sets in and the recurrent would be lucky enough to have all their limbs and teeth intact by the end of the horrific ordeal. The Mauve haired General shook her head in amusement as she continued to write her report on the nature of their enemies arrogance and their actions from some of their past victories against their opponents because of their sheer numbers and brutal force.

Lynn had pointed out the obvious error that they had never really had any concept of tactical advantages yet the officers would merely waved it away and then proceeded rant dogmatically of it making no difference in their inevitable victory over the Cyclonian empire. She had to restrain herself from unleashing her sword from her scabbard then cutting their hands off, grabbing their tongue and using a small dagger to swiftly cut it out or even unholster her Hand Cannon from her other side and bashing the enemy's skull in with all her hateful rage.

She remembered the order that the Master had given since she had departed from the capital to her new facility, which had been reinforced by a report from Terra Klockstoppia from a newly appointed military intelligence officer and unfortunately the basic rule for dealing with a 'so called' civilization such as this was that the officers were mostly nobles who would most likely be connected to families of influential figures in their Saderan Empire and would likely help make them more persuasive to their surrender treaty.

Lynn paused to examine her report after about three minutes she nodded in satisfaction then placed it on her desk very carefully and gently. Her uniform was still covered with dry as well as not so dry blood stains and she had to be extremely cautious as she didn't want to have any stains on her report as she had seen with certain officers from various reports that she'd been given. Lynn declared that reports must have a limited amount of blood stains and that all reports must be checked to ensure that they were fully readable and the words were correctly written and perfectly understandable for the reader.

She was also beginning to earn the respect of her agents for her willingness to get her sword drenched in enemy blood as well as helping design the new restraining garments for the more cowardly prisoners, the new garments were a mixture between the highly popular straitjacket and a simple bag that would normally be worn by a prisoner who's hands were handcuffed behind their back. But this new garment had a prisoner become bounded by the straitjacket and zipped up a head mask over the head sometimes they would be able to see out of the slits if the officers felt generous enough to allow it. It also could be hooked to a metal pole that would be used to force walk the prisoner to a unknown destination and help guards or officers who were to escort the enemy without them constantly struggling against them.

The idea came to Lynn in a dream on one of the last days of her family visit after she and her family went out to the cinema and saw a newsreel film about the new additions being made at Atomisa Hill, and had almost immediately sent her idea to the proper channels to see if it could work. The Manuva haired General stood up and decided to go clean up before she went to go to the kitchen for lunch. It was there as she was in the middle of a delicious meal of a salad with some fresh buttered bread and a tropical fruit smoothie imported from Terra Tropica when a messenger arrived and told her that it was time for her to go back through the gate.

The day had come and she was ready to go back and make her own impression on the savage enemy. From Dove's reports, the veteran had been extremely successful in putting a favorable impression on the local villages and had even gained some of the native residents who were outside the Saderan Empire. Lynn could not wait to meet them in person, there were also some reports from the Shadow officers ordered to provide protection from unseen enemys who were more than willing to be in a fanatical state of die hard believers from their failed attempts to take back Atmosia hill and their methods of putting the fanatics in their place were rather… terrifying. Still it seemed that everything was coming together and as she got on her personal Skimmer and flew off to the gate she was more than willing to share her own bloodthirsty style to the battlefield she smiled in anticipation of what was going to happen next.

A/N: Okay so far more slice of life than I would have planned but I wanted to focus more on Lynn since she doesn't have any character development in the actual show other than her being the standard of. 'I want to be special and do something.'

And as I said from the beginning sorry for the spelling mistakes or anything I might have missed. The next chapter will open and heavily focus on Pina, Finally. I've been waiting to tackle her perspective but again I really felt Lynn needed a bit of fleshing out of her enjoying the bloodshed and her new perspective as a leader in a bureaucratic and tyrannical government.

As well as show the newer weapons and what the Cyclonian empire is bringing to the other side of the gate in the next chapter. Hopefully I can get it out sooner rather than later but I have my doubts. Because I'm not exactly a genius when describing battle tactics or fighting sequences in general but I will definitely give it a try and be more descriptive in the next chapter.

Please give me some feedback on how you enjoyed this and how I can improve the storytelling.

Oh and the two Film references were The Trial by Orson Welles which is also one of the best novel to film adaptations ever made. The reference was the style of the court room when Lynn was given her tour of the facility.

The other is Brazil by Terry Gilliam. The reference was the straight jacket and the overall bureaucratic structure of the film. Anyhow I will try to get the next part out soon as possible until then please be safe and thank you for your patience as well as your favorites and following this story it really helps.
