Chapter 7: History Repeats

Hellpup Loona looked over at her twin brother, Cyrus. He was holding their baby sister Nova in his hands. All three siblings stood in front of an orphanage, accompanied by a St. Bernard hellhound nun with an upside down cross.

"Alright, little pups, let me show you around," the nun said as she brought them inside. As Loona and her brother followed the nun around, they looked around, seeing that the place was rather run down with many other Hellpups sprinting around and causing trouble for the little staff this place had, giving the impression that the orphanage was underfunded, overcrowded, and understaffed.

"This here is the living room," the nun said before spotting the Hellpups burning a couch. "Hey! Put that fire down this instant!" she shouted at them.

She then showed them the dining room "This here is where you'll be receiving your meals. Three meals a day, provided to you by our kitchen staff."

"Eek! Help! The kitchen's on fire!" someone shouted from the kitchen.

"Not again," the nun groaned as she went to grab the fire extinguisher to put out the flames.

After that, the nun led the three to a bedroom. "This here will be your room, which we already set up for you," the nun said while showing the Hellpups to a mostly empty room with gray ways and little furniture besides a single dresser, two beds, and a crib. "You can place your baby sister in that crib while you two have your beds. Any questions?"

"Um, isn't there a nursery for our baby sister?" Loona asked her.

"We couldn't afford one," the nun said sadly as she walked away. "I'll leave you three to settle in."

Now alone, nobody said anything at first. Loona and Cyrus looked at each other, neither of them that confident about their current situation. The silence was broken when their baby sister started crying, Loona sighing in frustration while Cyrus tried comforting her.

"Shh, there, there. Let's take you to the crib," he said while taking their sister to the crib. "Loona, a little help here?"

But Loona wasn't listening. Instead, she walked over to the nearest window and looked out of it to see the view of Hell outside. She then looked around the room. This place was supposed to be their new home and yet it didn't feel like home to her at all…

Loona was now six years old, living in the pound instead of the orphanage. The young Hellpup girl looked absolutely miserable as she sat on her bunk in her empty, dirty cell. There were tallies on the wall next to her. Loona hugged her knees tightly to her body. The orphanage wasn't great, but it was sure a lot better than the pound. At least in the orphanage, she still had her brother with her…

She heard someone walking past her cell, making Loona look up. In front of her cell was a pound employee and with her… was Cruella De Ville.

"My, this one's cute," Cruella said as she eyed Loona. Her green smoke spread from her breath, making Loona cough. "Oh, I just have to have this little darling! Take her home, pamper her, raise her like my own…"

"Well Loona, it's your lucky day after all," the employee replied as he unlocked Loona's cell and Cruella's hands reached out to the scared little pup…

Later, after being brought to Cruella's mansion, Loona was shown to her new room.

"Alright, my little Loona, how do you like your new home?" Cruella asked her, setting Loona down on her new bed.

"It looks… big," Loona replied simply.

Cruella just gave a cackle at that. "Oh, you crack me up, Loona, that's why I like you," she said while lowering herself down to the hellpup. "Now then, now that you'll be living here from now on, there's going to be some ground rules. First and foremost, do not leave this room until I say so. Is that clear, darling?" she asked her.

Loona gave her a nod, though she was only half-listening. She knew that she should be grateful. She was going to live in a mansion, after all. With a woman who said she was going to care for and pamper her. But despite that, something about this place… it just didn't feel like home to her.

Not too long after that, Blitz brought Loona into their new apartment in the Greed Ring.

"Well, we're here, Loony," Blitz declared while showing Loona the apartment. "I know it's not much, but it's affordable. And we can make it nicer. Maybe add some horse stuff. Pups like horse stuff, right?"

Loona looked around the apartment. It was small and not very lavish. But that almost didn't matter when Luz turned around to look back at Blitz, the imp who had rescued her from the clutches of Cruella. He made Loona feel… safe.

"I… like it," she replied.

"Really?" Blitz asked her. "I mean, it could use a little spruce-"

"As long as I'm with you, Blitz," Loona told him while turning around, smiling up at him. "I think… I think this place could feel like home."

Somewhere in the streets of Hell, a Hellhound was wandering along the sidewalk. He looked around to see if he was being followed before turning back while keeping his hands in his pockets. He looked paranoid, as if he was running from something. Something that caused him to be frightened as a kid who feared what was inside their closet…

After a few checks, the jumpy Hellhound kept walking. He spotted some Sinners up ahead and didn't want to draw attention to himself, so he slipped into an alleyway to hide in. He walked into the alley, rubbing his own arms to comfort himself. He looked relieved to be alone… until a Hellcat popped up from the dumpster.

"Hey, I found this donut!" Lenny declared.

"WAAAAH!" the Hellhound screamed.

"GAAAAH!" Lenny screamed as well as other Hellcats and some cat Sinners appeared in the alleyway.

"Ay yo, what the hap's going on here?!" DJ asked as he walked up with his crew minus Husk, noticing the Hellhound.

"Looks like Lenny spooked that Hellhound, Deej," Tubac pointed out.

The Hellhound fell on his butt, quickly backing away into a wall. "P-P-Please, don't hurt me! Don't take me back there!" he begged while covering himself.

"Back? Back where?" Bigz asked while Whiskers noticed how frightened the Hellhound was. He looked downright terrified.

"I don't mean any disrespect, but are you alright, dawg?" Fancy Dan asked the frightened demon dog.

"What should we do with him?" Kathy asked.

"S'not like he's got anything to do with us," Silky replied with a shrug.

"Look, I may not be a fan of Hellhounds more than the next cat, but look at him," Lil' Prim said while pointing to the Hellhound. "He looks as terrified as a Hellkitten on a rainy day."

"Okay, so what are we gonna do with him?" Bigz asked as DJ thought about it before he hummed while approaching the Hellhound carefully.

"Hey, hey man," DJ said as he patted the Hellhound's shoulder. "Calm down and listen," he told him as the Hellhound looked up at the cat demon. "Look, me and my homies ain't gonna hurt you or anything, as long as you don't bite. But we will take you somewhere to calm your nerves, and we can just talk, since you look like you need help. No strings attached, alright?"

The Hellhound looked around at the gang of cats. "You… you won't turn me over to them?"

"Who's them?" DJ asked while offering his hand.

The Hellhound looked at his hand and briefly hesitated before he grabbed the hand and allowed himself to be pulled up, deciding to trust the cats, at least enough to follow them. "Um… do you have a hideout or anything?"

"Sure, just step into my office and we can chat," DJ said while leading the Hellhound and his crew away.

Meanwhile, at Mick and Moxxie's apartment, Mick was hanging up a poster on his wall.

"Hey, Mick," Moxxie said as he walked over. "Just checking on to see- whoa," he said while looking at the poster. "Is that…?"

"Nice poster, right?" Mick replied with a grin while Moxxie looked up at the poster.

"I gotta say, it really fits with the lifestyle you have," Moxxie said, nodding.

"Thanks, I got it from my girlfriend," he told him.

"Really? She gave you that?" Moxxie asked in surprise. "And she's okay with it?"

"Of course, that is her after all," Mick said.

"WHAT!?" Moxxie asked in disbelief as he looked up at the poster, the back at Mick. "Shut the fuck up… that's her?!"

"Yup," Mick confirmed as Moxxie kept looking between him and the poster.

"Incredible… I can't believe that you're dating a rock star," Moxxie said while still in awe.

Mick smiled before he heard a tapping sound on the window. Turning around, he saw DJ and Lil' Prim outside the window. "Hey, Deej, Prim," he announced as he and Moxxie went to open up the window.

"You!" Moxxie shouted, pointing at DJ.

"Mick, Mox, glad to see you two," DJ said as he climbed in.

"Yeah, and not the landlady," Lil' Prim said while getting in.

"Yeah, but I'm not so glad to see you, DJ," Moxxie said sternly, narrowing his eyes at the cat demon.

"Come on, Mox, why you gotta be like that?" DJ asked him with a smile. "Aren't we all friends here?"

"You stole my wallet," Moxxie pointed out at him.

"Oh, right…" DJ remembered. "But look, I know you're mad, but hear us out."

"So what brings you guys here?" Mick asked as Lil' Prim pulled up Lenny and Tubac before pulling the Hellhound in.

"You guys brought in a Hellhound?" Mick asked in surprise.

"You got any of that extra weed on you?" Lil' Prim asked as the whole gang came into the room.

"Hey, wait, can this room fit everyone?!" Moxxie asked as he saw DJ's crew climbing in…

Later, after everyone was in, the Hellhound was given some weed. After lighting it, he took a few huffs before blowing some smoke from it.

"How are you feeling, man?" Tubac asked him.

"I feel… better," the Hellhound responded as he coughed out the smoke. "Man, this is some good shit."

"Thanks, I know a good dealer," Mick said.

"Now you want to tell us what gots ya spooked?" Lenny asked.

"Yeah, and I thought I was the scary one," Boo replied.

After his nerves were calm, the Hellhound told his story. "Okay, I was coming from a Hellhound shelter when you came across me. At first, the place seemed legit; we were given whatever we needed: Food, a bed, and even medical care. A lot of Hellhounds came and went with no problem." He looked down. "But there were a few who did leave suddenly… suspiciously so."

"That doesn't sound good at all," Moxxie said, having a good feeling where this was going.

"There was someone who suspected the staff were doing something to these Hellhounds. A Hellpup named Amaroq," he mentioned. "That poor little pup…"

"What? What happened to her?" Lil' Prim asked in concern.

"She went to investigate the disappearances, and then she vanished as well," the Hellhound said while his head shivered. "I… I didn't know what happened to her, but I knew that I had to get out of there."

"From what I'm hearing, it sounds like a trafficking ring," Moxxie said.

"Trafficking? Aw hell no, who's been running that disgusting joint?!" DJ asked him.

"I don't know who the boss was, although it was a cat and fox Sinner who told me about the shelter and led me to it," the Hellhound said while looking down at his weed. "And I know there's this… unicorn Sinner who was the shelter's doctor… her name was Dr. Sonya Mera."

Hearing the name, Whiskers' eyes widened in shock and he started to freak out. "SONYA MERA?!" he screamed as he jumped back while everyone looked at him in surprise.

"Whiskers, you alright?" Prim asked in concern.

"I think that's the first time I heard you speak a word," Tubac said.

"Wait, do you know who that woman is, Whiskers?" Moxxie asked him.

But Whiskers had frozen in place. Fancy-Dan waved his arm around in front of his face before turning to the others. "He's not responding."

"Looks like he's just as spooked if not worse," DJ responded while growing concerned.

"And it has to do with that Dr. Mera woman," Mick indicated.

Moxxie pulled up his cellphone while Kathy looked to him. "Who are you calling, Mox?"

"Someone who definitely needs to hear about this," Moxxie said.

In another part of town, Blitz was in the middle of sword fighting against his adversary… Foxy Loxy.

"Come on, you old sky dog!" Foxy shouted as he launched his sword at Blitz, who dodged it.

"Hey, careful where you aim that thing!" Blitz responded while clashing their blades together. "I'm not ready to go down yet!"

"Oh I'll show you to go down, you crimson scalawag!" Foxy replied with a flirtatious tone, grinning at Blitz who grinned at him back.

"Oh you have no idea how hot this is getting…" Blitz purred as he bared his fangs at Foxy.

They continued to fight until the sound of his ringtone that had the horse song blare up from his pocket. "Aw Christ on a stick!" Blitz shouted while backing away and leaping onto a waterwheel. As Foxy swiped his sword at him, Blitz got on the defense while trying to answer the phone "Yeah, what is it, Moxxie? Can't you hear I'm fucking up against my nemesis?!" he asked while the two fought on the waterwheel, which ended up detaching itself and rolling away with the two still on, trying to keep their balance.

"Sorry, sir, but this is something urgent!" Moxxie responded.

"It better be!" Blitz shouted while jumping over Foxy and ending up behind him while Foxy clashed his sword against his.

"Haha! Can't ram through my ass like that!" Foxy declared while they walked on the wheel, which rolled through the street and caused plenty of mayhem.

"AAAHH!" the unfortunate bystanders cried out as they cleared out of the way.

"Hang on, Mox, let me just-" Blitz dodged the sword by a hair and crawled around the wheel, going between Foxy's legs while holding up his gun. He did some rounds, but Foxy ducked down underneath the shots.

"Hey! No guns in a sword fight!" Foxy complained.

"Just want to see you flinch, pal!" Blitz shouted while crawling underneath his opponent.

"Oh no you don't!" Foxy attempted to stomp Blitz in the face. However, his boot got stuck in the wheel. "Oh no…"

"Aw yes, bitch!" Blitz declared as Foxy got caught in the wheel and dragged underneath it while Blitz leapt to safety and rolled on the ground while listening to Foxy's screams.

"AAAAAHHH!" Foxy screamed. "You haven't seen the last of me, Blitz!" he declared while rolling down the road, still caught in the wheel.

Blitz grinned and held up his phone. "Now, what were you saying, Mox?"

Loona had seen plenty of horrors while working at the Triton Resort. In fact, compared to all the shit she's been through, this should be a piece of cake… right?

Oh she was wrong. Very, very wrong…

"Damn that auction," Loona said while looking at a room that was a complete mess. Loona could definitely smell just how much sex happened in this room. It ranked so bad, her nose wanted to detach itself from her and move all the way down to Sloth. Which is why she wore a mask, gloves, and boots for this job. Even without using a UV light, she could see that the walls were stained by missed shots.

She feared what was in the bathroom.

She began cleaning the room, picking up the trash and other disposables. "I think someone left their lotion here-GAAAH!" She immediately brought out a bottle of spray and used it on the carpet. "This room needs to be sanitized! Either that or firebombed!"

After throwing all the sheets and blankets in a bag that she tied up, she heard her phone ring. "Crap," she said while looking at her phone and seeing that it was from Moxxie. She answered it.

"This better be important, Mox," Loona responded.

Shortly after getting their calls, Blitz and Loona made it down to Moxxie's apartment. Once they knocked on the door, Moxxie answered it.

"Thank Lucifer that you guys made it," Moxxie said as he let them in.

"Yeah, lucky for me, Margaret decided to cut me a break after I finished cleaning up those rooms used for that auction," Loona responded with a shiver. "She gave me the rest of the day off to try to get over what I've seen…" She paused, noticing that the room was full of cats. "Roommates?"

"Friends of mine, actually," Mick replied while waving to Loona. "Hey, Loona."

"Mick," Loona responded with a nod.

"Alright, first off, nice place you got here, Mox. Really love the apartment," Blitz commented before getting to business. "And second, what was the urgent thing you called us here, Mox? You didn't give too many details over the phone."

"It appears that something really shady is happening to Hellhounds in Pride," Moxxie said while pointing to the other Hellhound in the room. "He said he fled from a Hellhound shelter where a few Hellhounds have disappeared suddenly, including a Hellpup named Amaroq. And Whiskers may know someone who works there." He turned to Whiskers. "Whiskers, are you ready to talk now?"

Whiskers, who was being comforted by Kathy and Silky, slowly nodded and began to speak. "My… my real name is… actually Casey Whiskabee," he said. "When I was alive, I was… a werecat from the Demon Realm."

Loona, Blitz, and Moxxie all looked surprised to hear this. "The Demon Realm…" Loona said.

"Yes, specifically I was from a place called the Boiling Isles," Whiskers responded while looking down. "I am, or was, a lycan witch who lived at the Torsa Villa, a werecat reservation. In the Isles, lycan witches are typically looked down upon, and I wanted to leave the Isles, so I took in a job to make some quick cash. But the business I got myself into… it involved drugs." He looked up to them. "Eventually I can't handle it anymore, so I tipped off the authorities to bust the drug ring. I was going to finally leave the Isles, but I ended up getting caught and beaten up by my co-workers, who stole my money and turned me over to Dr. Mera and her werewolf compatriot."

"What can you tell us more about this Dr. Mera, son?" Blitz asked him in concern.

"She is an insane witch… literally," Whiskers responded as his hands shook. "When I was captured by her, she experimented on me. Poked and prodded as part of her weird Chimera project… said that I might be like my friend, Nina… and I was still alive when she started to dissect me…"

Everyone looked understandably horrified by this. Loona's eyes widened at this while she covered her mouth. As Whiskers shook while recounting his death, Silky tried to comfort him. The other Hellhound in the room had a horrified realization.

"That… that could've happened to those Hellhounds that disappeared!" he cried out. "No… Amaroq… they're gonna kill her! She's just an innocent pup!" he teared up, beating himself over it. "I can't believe that I left her with those monsters!"

As the Hellhound cried, everyone turned to each other with worried looks. Loona was visibly shaken by this, especially when she heard the Hellhound's cries. Blitz took notice of his daughter's reaction to this, which did worry him.

"We should do something about this, sir," Moxxie said with a concerned look.

"Oh, we'll do something about this alright," Blitz told Moxxie while patting Loona's back. "That so-called Hellhound Shelter needs to get fucked over." He turned to the other Hellhound. "Hey, can you tell us where this shelter is?"

The Hellhound looked over at Blitz and began to calm down. "Yeah… I can…"

A bit later, Loona stood in front of the shelter. She was wearing a purple hoodie and black shorts while holding her comlink in her ear.

"I'm in front of the building now," Loona said.

"Okay, Loona, head inside and scope the place out," Blitz told her before letting out a sigh. "I'm still not comfortable about letting you go in there alone."

"I know, but scoping out the place first is better than going in guns-a-blazing, especially since there will be other Hellhounds in there," she replied as she went inside. "I am now inside the building," Loona said while keeping her hood up as she looked around. She spotted lots of Hellhounds, mostly younger ones. "There are so many Hellhounds here…"

"Alright Loona, just try to blend in and not draw too much attention to yourself while you're looking around," Blitz responded while in his van with Lars and Harvey, who had set up some surveillance equipment to allow them to talk to Loona and hear what she hears. Once he turned off the comlink, he looked at the equipment. "Where did you two get this kind of equipment anyway?"

"We'd rather not say," Harvey replied.

Loona looked around the shelter. She found one room that had boxes of clothes that looked like they had been donated to the shelter. There was another room filled with beds and cots to sleep on. There was a dining area and a kitchen. Honestly, this place reminded her of the orphanage she was placed in if it wasn't as run down. As she looked around, she spotted an employee coming up to her.

"Excuse me," the employee said. "I haven't seen you around before. Did you just arrive? Are you homeless?"

"Y-Yeah," Loona nodded, playing the act. "I um, don't have a home right now, and I heard this place is open for Hellhounds needing shelter."

"Oh, then you've come to the right place," the employee said while leading Loona around. "We got food, water, blankets, and whatever else you need. Just make yourself feel acclimated around here."

Loona gave the employee a nod. "Thank you," she told them before walking away. She saw a group of Hellhounds her age and decided to speak to them.

"Hi, I'm new here," she said as she walked over to the group. "I've been wondering… what has this place been like for you guys?"

"Beats the streets," a Hellhound admitted. "Comfortable beds, warm blankets…"

"Not to mention clean clothes," another added. "They even serve us real food, unlike the pound…"

Loona gave a nod. "So, um, what if you get sick? Do you guys have a doctor around here that checks up for you…?"

"Oh, we do, actually," one Hellhound confirmed. "Her name is Dr. Sonya Mera. She is always looking out for us."

"But she's out of her office right now," another said. "I think she went to get more medical supplies…"

"Well, do you know where her office is, just in case?" Loona asked them.

"Oh sure, it's about down that hallway to your left." he replied, pointing to a hallway at the side.

"Thank you for letting me know," Loona said as she walked away. She held her earpiece up. "Alright, I know where the office is, dad. But I can't go directly in with all the employees around. Could use a distraction to keep them busy, and to get these Hellhounds the fuck out of here."

"Don't worry, Loony, I'll think of the perfect distraction," Blitz responded

Loona kept looking around the shelter as she waited for that distraction. She looked visibly upset as she watched the other Hellhounds around her.

"How are you holding up, by the way?" Blitz asked.

Loona sighed. "Well… I'm a little upset right now, to tell you the truth. Because a place like this… it could definitely help out on a lot of Hellhounds, if it wasn't a front for something awful."

"I understand, hon," Blitz replied. "But don't worry, we'll get these guys out of here and bust this place up."

Loona gave a small smile. "Thanks, dad."

Meanwhile, DJ and his crew were outside of the shelter.

"Alright, I just got word that Blitz needs us to be a distraction and lure those Hellhounds out of the shelter," DJ said while looking around at his crew. "So… who's going in?"

"Us? Why not you?" Knots asked the leader.

"You know I can't go in there, they'll maul me like I was Michael Vick," DJ claimed.

"Well, I'm not going in there," Tubac said.

"Me neither," Bigz said.

"You're not sending me in there," Boo agreed.

"Look, these Hellhounds are in trouble so there's no time to act scared," Lil' Prim told them all as she grabbed some straws from her pocket. "Look, let's just draw straws to send someone in. Whoever draws the two shortest straws, goes in."

"She's right," DJ said. "It's a good thing you're the most reasonable one, Lil' Prim."

Prim nodded as she held up the straws.

A few minutes later, back in the shelter, the Hellhounds suddenly heard the sound of drums banging and they turned around to see who it was.

"Luau!" Lenny sang while next to Bigz, who was posing down on a large plate. "If you're hungry for a hunk of fat and juicy meat, eat my buddy Bigzy here because he's a treat!"

The Hellhounds looked at the two Hellcats, their jaws dropping as their tongues were out.

"Come on down and dine, oh this tasty feline!" Lenny shouted. "All you have to do is get in line!"

The two saw the Hellhounds walking over to them.

"Aaaare you achin'?"

"Yup, yup, yup," Bigz sang.

"For some civit!"

"Yup, yup, yup."

"Here's a big kitten!"

"Yup, yup, yup."

"You could be a big kitten too, oy!" Lenny finished the song as he and Bigz looked at the Hellhounds drawing closer. "RUN!"

Lenny and Bigz took off running from the shelter and most of the Hellhounds, being canine, couldn't help themselves but chase the cats. The employees tried to stop them, but the Hellhounds ended up trampling over and pushing them away.

"No, stop! Please-oof!" the employee cried out before getting knocked away.

"Don't eat the kitties!" the employee cried out before getting pushed aside.

"Heeeelp!" one unfortunate employee shouted as they got trapped and dragged away by the Hellhounds running off from the shelter.

Loona took advantage of this distraction to sneak away and look for Sonya's office.

Once she got there, she found it locked. But that didn't stop her, since she just kicked the door down, nobody hearing it thanks to all the barking and shouting nearby. Once she was in the office, she looked around for anything suspicious. She looked through the desk, the shelves, the cabinets, and under the chair.

"I don't see anything that could incriminate her," she said before her paw stepped on a book. She looked down and saw the book sticking out from underneath the desk. "Wait a minute…" she whispered, as she went to pick up the book. Once she saw the logo, she gasped and her eyes widened. "Oh no…"

"What? What did you find, Loona?" Blitz asked her, sounding concerned. "Loona?"

On that book's cover was the logo of Cruella De Vil. This made Loona freeze in shock...

"Hey!"

Loona got out of her shock when she noticed a Baphomet employee in the room with her. "What do you think you're doing here?!" he demanded.

"Oh, um… I uh… work at a certain shift…" Loona stammered while hiding the book behind her.

"What's that behind yer back?" the goat demon demanded, walking closer.

"…Aw fuck it." Loona then delivered a high kick to the goat demon, sending him crashing back into a shelf. Loona attempted to make an escape, but the employee grabbed her by the tail to pull her back. She turned around and punched him in the face, but he grabbed her and threw her to the wall.

As Loona got up, she grabbed another book and threw it at the goat demon. She then jumped up and stepped on the employee's face before throwing a chair at him. She fled from the office, but then she saw more employees spotting her.

"Get her!" the goat demon shouted as he pointed at her, causing his fellow employees to come at her.

"Gonna need some help, dad," Loona states while holding the book as she ducked and weaved, trying to avoid getting grabbed.

"On it, hon, just stay away from the doors."

Seconds later, Loona and employees heard a crash. They went into a hallway and saw a van had crashed through the front doors of the shelter. Coming out were Blitz, Moxxie, Mick, DJ, and his crew.

"We're here for you, Loony!" Blitz declared while an employee tried to grab him, but Blitz shot him in the legs before kicking him. Another employee tried to grab Blitz from behind until he stabbed them in the eye. "YAH! Take that, you fucks!" he shouted.

Moxxie was up against a strong, bull-like employee, the imp bringing out his glocks and shooting the bull Sinner away from him. Even though he knew it wouldn't kill him, it would make him back away. A shark demon tried to grab Moxxie's tail, but Moxxie moves his left hand to shoot the shark employee away.

Mick used his tail to swat and whip a few more employees trying to get at him. He did a flip and delivered some kicks to knock some employees out. DJ held up his guns as he shot some employees on the shoulders. DJ ended up back to back with Moxxie, both of them shooting employees.

"You know how to shoot?" Moxxie asked him.

"I'm from Nineties LA!" DJ declared as he kept shooting.

"Don't kill any of them, they may have valuable information!" Blitz declared while shooting the kneecaps of another employee.

As more employees rushed over, the rest of DJ's gang took them on. Lil' Prim used her claws to claw at the employee, Boo and Fancy-Dan tackled another employee while Knots grabbed some employees from harming his friends. Kathy and Silky held some ropes to tie up each of the employees, while Tubac used a bat to smash the legs of some employees.

"Alright, round them up!" Blitz said as they began to tie up the employees that were still alive after the fight. Lars and Harvey helped out as well to tie them up.

"You found something from that office, Loona?" Moxxie asked, noticing the book.

"Yeah, this book," Loona said as she held it up, Blitz seeing the logo.

"Oh shit…" Blitz said in shock, recognizing Cruella's logo. "Cruella."

"C-Cruella?!" Moxxie exclaimed. "You mean… that crazy lady who would try to skin puppies?!"

"The one and only," Loona responded as she opened the book and looked through its contents. She frowned. "This book… it's a book of records. It has a list of Hellhounds that came into the shelter and saw Dr. Mera. Several of them are said to have been 'checked out' and I assume those are our missing Hellhounds." She turned to the employees, her expression angry. "Where are the Hellhounds that were checked out from the shelter?"

"D-Didn't they leave?" the Baphomet employee pointed out, before Blitz and Moxxie held their guns up at him.

"Tell us or you'll be blown to kingdom come," Blitz told them.

"Some of you are easy to kill, and some of you may be Sinners, but we can still make your afterlife very uncomfortable," Moxxie declared with a sadistic grin.

This frightened the employees and one of them began to talk. "Alright! I'll talk! Those Hellhounds never left the shelter! Dr. Mera had them drugged and transferred to the fur farm!"

Loona, Blitz, Moxxie, Lars, Harvey, Mick, DJ and his gang all gave shocked and horrified looks.

"A fur farm?!" Blitz exclaimed with a distraught look. "Aw shit…"

"This is even worse than we could have imagined," Moxxie replied. He looked over at Loona, who didn't say anything. "Loona, are you okay?"

"I… I need a moment," Loona said while looking down, the book in her hand shaking. "We… we have to put a stop to this…"

"This is messed up!" DJ shouted as he looked at the employees in disgust. "How can you send these people to a fur farm?!"

"Hey, you know how profitable Hellhound fur can be if you go to the right people," the Baphomet demon said before getting shot in the stomach by Blitz. "BAAAAH!"

"There's more where that came from, bub," Blitz declared while holding his gun up. "Now if you want to live, tell us where we can find the fur farm. Or else I'm thinking of having to silence the lambs here…"

The goat employee gulped, seeing from Blitz's deranged look that he was ready to do him worse if he didn't tell them. "O-Okay, I'll tell you where the address is…"

Prim looked over to DJ. "Hey, after this, we should pick up Lenny and Bigz."

"I know, they shouldn't have run far," DJ replied

Meanwhile, Bigz and Lenny were hanging from a fire escape. Below them, a crowd of Hellhounds was barking up at them.

"Ey, wait, aren't you big, Bigzy? You could take these guys out," Lenny told Bigz.

"I may be big, but I'm still scared as a kitten by these hounds!" Bigz admitted as the two hung in fear.

Sometime later, the party located the fur farm in another region of Pride. Said fur farm wasn't advertised as such, being a fenced-off area with several buildings and a parking lot.

"This is the place," Moxxie said as he, Blitz, and Loona got out of the van along with Lars, Harvey and Mick.

A bus stopped next to the van and coming out were DJ and his crew, including Bigz and Lenny. "Alright, let's bust this fur farm to Super Hell," DJ declared.

"That's a thing?" Tubac asked.

"It is if you believe in it," DJ said with a shrug while the gang went to Blitz's van. "Yo, got any heat for us?"

"Got enough heat for everyone," Blitz said while opening the back of the van, showing various guns, weapons, and arsenal. "Rental shop's opened, pick one out."

Everyone picked out their guns from the van. Lars and Harvey picked out some AK-45s, Kathy and Silky held up some revolvers, Tubac inserted some magazines in his gun, DJ held up some pistols, Lil' Prim brought out a tommy-gun, Bigz grabbed hold of some brass knuckles, Lenny, Boo, and Fancy-Dan picked out some spiked bats, nun-chucks, and a chainsaw, Knots held up his own guns sideways, and Mick grabbed some daggers while Moxxie took his sniper rifle and climbed up a nearby roof to take up a sniping position.

"Hey dad, can you give me one of those?" Loona asked while pointing at a gun.

"I don't know if you should, Loony…" Blitz said in concern.

"Oh come on, Dad, you taught me how to use a firearm back when I was little," Loona pointed out.

Back in their old apartment in Greed, little Loona confronted her dad.

"Hey dad, you sure are good with those guns you have," Loona commented.

"I sure am, my Loony-Toony," Blitz replied with pride.

"Can you teach me how to use one?" Loona asked excitedly, which took her foster dad aback.

"Oh… um, I don't know, Loony," Blitz said while rubbing the back of his neck. "I mean, with those little paws of yours, I'm not sure-"

"Please?" Loona asked him again, her eyes getting bigger. She was giving the imp her puppy dog eyes.

Blitz tried to resist by turning away, but Loona just simply moved to his other side while staring at him with her puppy eyes. The imp tried to resist as best as he could, but alas, he was too weak for those puppy eyes.

"Alright, alright I'll… teach you how to use a firearm," Blitz respond

"Yay! I get to learn how to shoot!" Loona cheered for herself.

"But you will only shoot when you are with me and are on a shooting range, understand?" Blitz asked her. "And only at cardboard cutouts. I want to teach you how to be responsible with guns, not just how to fire them, understand?"

Loona nodded, barely able to contain her excitement. "Yes, sir!"

Sometime later, they were at a shooting range. Blitz had her outfitted with headphones and protective goggles before he even gave her a gun and stood by her side to help her out.

"Alright, now turn off the safety, hold it steady and tight, and focus on what you are aiming out," Blitz said, helping Loona to hold up the gun to aim at the target sheet. "Now, next you pull the trigger, but stay-" But as soon as Loona pulled the trigger, she was thrown back by the recoil. He immediately went to help her up. "Are you alright, hon?"

"Yeah," Loona replied as Blitz helped pick her gun up.

"I probably should have been standing behind you, but at least you'll be ready for the recoil next time," Blitz said.

Loona gave her dad a nod and positioned herself again. She fired a few shots, but each one missed the target. "I keep missing them."

"Now don't worry, you're just a beginner, so it is okay to miss," he said. "Just keep practicing and remember to keep your eye on the target."

Loona held her gun again, trying to aim for the head and the heart. She fired some more rounds, but still missed. However, she didn't give up.

Over time, Blitz continued to take Loona to the shooting range, where she kept practicing, her aim getting better until she managed to shoot her target right in the head.

"Aw yeah! Way to go, Loony!" Blitz cheered for his daughter, patting on her back. "You got a headshot!"

"Thanks, dad," Loona replied with a prideful smile.

"Keep that up, and you'll probably go pro," Blitz declared, rustling her head. "So uh, I never asked you this, but… what got you so interested in wanting to learn to shoot?"

Loona was silent for a while as she looked at her target again. "Well… I want to kill Cruella someday," she said as she made another round.

Blitz's eyes widened at this and he looked down the range to see that the shot she made went straight for the heart…

"Hmm, yeah, I guess I can trust you to handle it safely," Blitz told Loona while handing her a gun.

"Thanks, dad," Loona replied as she turned to spot Whiskers coming out of the bus. "Hey, Whiskers, do you want one of these?" she asked, holding up her gun.

"Actually, I'm not familiar with these kinds of weapons you guys have," Whiskers admitted. "Where I'm from, witches use spells and magic to attack and defend. Some use crossbows, but I never learned how to use one. However, I should still be able to help with my magic," he said as he drew a spell circle, showing a light spell. "Good thing I didn't die with a sigil…"

"Alright, everyone, let's fuck their shit up," Blitz declared once everyone was ready to shut the place down…

In one building, Blitz, Loona, and DJ kicked the door open, announcing themselves to the fur farm workers inside.

"Hey, you bunch of sick, furry-fuckers!" Blitz shouted. "You like skinning Hellhounds? Well, here's what I like!" He, Loona, and DJ opened fire on the workers, getting a few kills in before they dove for cover.

DJ exposed himself the most, since he knew that as a Sinner could take more damage than either Blitz or Loona could. He attempted to draw enemy fire while squeezing a few shots at the workers on the walkways above them.

Suddenly, a bullet smashed through a nearby window, striking one of the workers on the walkway in the head. As the dead worker fell off the walkway and hit the ground below, more bullets came from outside, hitting more workers.

"I got everyone covered from the sky, sir," Moxxie said through the ear-piece. He had positioned himself on a nearby rooftop, using his sniper rifle to pick off anyone who was outside or anyone he could see through the windows.

In one building, Lars and Harvey were gunning down workers while they were still surprised to see intruders. Lil' Prim was with them, shredding workers with her tommy gun. A few workers tried to flank them, but they got hit by a light beam spell. Lars, Harvey, and Lil' Prim turned to see that Whiskers had cast the spell.

"Don't just just stand there," Whiskers said as he drew spell circles. "Keep taking these fuckers down!"

They each nodded before they continued to go through the building, killing anyone they could find.

Mick was with Tubac, Bigz, Kathy, and Silky. Tubac and the twins provided cover fire while Mick and Bigz got up close to stab and punch the workers. When one of the workers tried to get a shot on Kathy, he got sniped to the head. He fell off the walkway and hit the cages beneath him, along with a few other workers.

"Thank you, Mox," Mick said before he saw some workers heading their way, armed with guns. "Looks like they are packing heat…"

"So are we!" Knots said through the earpiece while shooting down an employee guard while he, Boo, Lenny, and Fancy-Dan fought against the workers.

Lenny wacked one with his spiked bat, killing them. He then glanced at one of the nearby cages. "Uh guys, are you seeing what's in those cages?"

Back to Blitz's group, they were dealing with some enforcers who had been called in. As Loona shot one of them, she looked at the cages and gasped. "Holy…"

"What is it?" DJ asked.

"Kitsunes," Loona said as she stood back to back with DJ, shooting at the other gunmen trying to take them down. "But they're not bipeds…"

Blitz looked at the cages and saw what Loona meant. "Oh shit, they're smaller than I thought they'd be…"

Indeed, inside those small and cramped cages were small kitsunes. Young ones. They walked on four legs and had two tails while coming in many different colors. They looked uncomfortable in those small cages. Some paced around in their cages while others shivered.

"This fur farm… it's for kitsune fur," Moxxie realized.

"No Hellhounds around here," DJ said as he looked through the cages. "But you know, we should help these little guys."

"Hellhounds or not, we should definitely free them," Loona said as she looked around. "There should be a truck outside…"

Blitz tapped on his ear piece. "Lars, Harvey, if you're not busy, find us a truck."

Harvey shot another armed worker as he and Lars came outside the building. They spotted a line of trucks parked nearby and they ran to one.

"Alright, get this truck to the lot, while everyone frees the kitsunes!" Harvey told Lars, who hot wires the truck. Harvey shot another gunman as Lil' Prim and Whiskers assisted him, Moxxie also providing cover fire from his rooftop, sniping anyone in his sights.

Once Lars got the truck going, he drove it around the building and backed it toward the door of one of the buildings as Mick opened it.

"Alright, let's get these kits in!" Mick shouted.

Once all of the cages were opened, the kitsunes were encouraged and guided toward the open truck. Some immediately rushed out, others needed more encouragement. Fortunately, Whiskers was able to use his magic to get the kitsune to safely get inside the truck.

"Is that all of them?" Moxxie asked as he rejoined everyone else on the ground.

"We should check to make sure all of them made it out," Mick suggested as the group began to search the other buildings, freeing any kitsunes they found. They had dealt with most resistance at this point, so their main objective was now rescue.

While they searched the buildings, Mick spotted one kitsune huddled in a cage. He looked at the poor thing, which was shivering in fear. This one appeared to be the runt, due to being the size of a hamster. It had light-blue fur with cyan tips on its ears, little paws, and twin-tails. Its teal sclera eyes with black irises and purple dots looked into Mick's eyes.

"Hey, hey it's okay," Mick said as he opened the cage and gently offered his hand to the little kitsune. "I'm not here to harm you, I'm here to help. You can trust me. I'm not like those douchebags that hurt you."

The snow-furred kitsune looked afraid at first and hesitated, but his tone got her to place her paw on his hand. After she climbed into his hand, he brought her out of the cage.

"There, better out than in a cage, right?" Mick asked as the kitsune climbed up his arm and landed on his shoulder, where she nuzzled against his neck. "You like that, don't ya, little snowflake?"

Snowflake continued to nuzzle against Mick's neck as they met up with some of the others in the warehouse and saw them carrying more kitsunes. "Is that all of them?" Mick asked.

"Yeah, we checked each cage and I think these are the last of them," Knots said as he, Lenny, Kathy, and Silky hold up some of the kitsunes.

"Stop right there!"

Everyone turned to see four Sinners coming over to them. One was a tall Sinner who had a flaming skull head, a black lava-lined bodysuit, and fiery arms and legs. Another was a big, bulky Sinner who was made of rocks, wood, and trees for hands. Another appeared to be a female Sinner made out of water, with long watery hair and blue eyes. Finally, there was a Sinner who resembled a biped eagle with a tornado tail and blue tank top.

"Oh great," Moxxie groaned. "Sinners…"

"Yeah! But not just any Sinners, we're the Henchmentals!" the Fire Sinner declared. "Henchmen for hire that are elemental types! I'm Flim-Flame, and this is Woodrock," he said as he pointed to the Earth Sinner. "Tsumariah." He pointed to the Water Sinner. "And Wen the Air-Flyer!" He pointed to the Eagle Sinner.

"Just what we need, some lame, gimmicky-ass henchmen to deal with," Blitz said as he rolled his eyes at them.

"These guys are going to be trouble," Loona said as she, her dad, Moxxie, Mick, DJ, and Whiskers stepped up.

"Then let's show them how much trouble we're worth," DJ declared while cocking his gun.

"Once we smash you all, we're going to take back those kitsunes!" Woodrock declared.

"Not going to happen, punks!" Blitz shouted while holding up his shotgun.

"Less talking, let's just kill them!" Tsumariah declared as the henchmen rushed toward them.

Wen the Air-Flyer spun his arms around to blow some of the gang away. Lenny, Boo, and Knots tried to attack the aviary demon, but got caught in the wind, which spun them around and caused them to crash into the cages. Fancy-Dan and Moxxie tried to shoot at him, but they had to back away when Woodrock smashed into the ground near them.

"Woodrock smash!" the Earthly Sinner declared as he threw his arms around to knock aside the cages, everyone scattering to avoid the behemoth. This gives Flim-Flame the opportunity to fly around and shoot his flames at the cat gang. He managed to hit the end of Fancy-Dan's tail.

"AH! Hot! Hot! Hot!" he cried out as his tail was set aflame.

Mick and Lil' Prim dodged the flames before Mick gave Snowflake to Prim. "Take her to the truck," he said as he rushed into action.

"Mick!" Prim shouted before looking at the small kit in her hands. She sighed as she ran outside to the truck. "I'll take you to Harvey."

Kathy and Silky attempted to shoot at Tsumariah, who splashed water at them. She was like a hydrant, taking on the succubi-felines as they got hit by gushes of water. However, she ended up getting shot at by DJ and Tubac, which annoys the aquarium demon.

"Nobody messes with my crew!" DJ declared as they kept shooting.

Bigz charged at Woodrock, tackling the larger Sinner. Loona used her spell to throw cages at Flim-Flame and Wen while Whiskers also spot spells at them. Blitz and Moxxie used their guns to shoot at Tsumariah, who grew her watery hand into a larger fist, punching the two imps away from her. Mick ran over to help the two imps.

"You two alright?" he asked them.

"Wet, but not in a good way," Blitz groaned. "These fuckers aren't pushovers, that's for sure."

"These guys are made out of elements," Moxxie said while analyzing the situation.

"Yeah, no shit," Blitz said while coughing out water.

"But sir, we can use this to our advantage," Moxxie pointed out. "We can't take them out permanently, but we can use their elements against them, since their powers could cancel each other out. I'd say, let's get Flim-Flame and Tsumariah to pair up…"

Blitz and Mick gave a nod as they all stood back up. "I got the big guy, you two keep Human Torch and the Capri Sun lady together," Mick said as he ran over to assist Bigz.

Moxxie and Blitz both shot at Flim-Flame and Tsumariah and although their bodies were unaffected by the bullets, the Sinners were still annoyed. Blitz turned to Loona. "Loony, can you and Whiskers here throw that hot guy into the water lady?"

"Yeah!" Loona declared as she used a spell that grabbed more of the cages, launching them at Flim-Flame. He shot flames at the flying cages, but then Whiskers used his magic to grab a hook and swing it over to hit him in the head, pushing Flim-Flame towards Tsumariah.

Moxxie kept Tsumariah focused on him so that she didn't see what was coming. When she turned, she collided with her flaming partner. "AAAAAH!" she screamed as her watery body turned into steam. "I'm steaming! I'm steaming!"

"AH! I'm wet!" Flim-Flame cried as he fell unconscious as his body was put out. Tsumariah crashed to the floor, now nothing but a puddle and steam.

"A bunch of wash-outs," Whiskers said until they heard Bigz crashing through the cages. They turned to see him injured with a black eye, DJ and Tubac running up to him.

"Bigz! You alright?" DJ asked.

"That punk," Bigz said as he pointed to Woodrock. "He's probably made of rocks…"

Woodrock was currently trying to smash Mick, who jumped up to avoid his fist smashing into the ground. Mick landed on a cage, jumping off it before Woodrock punched through it.

"Hold still!" Woodrock shouted at Mick.

"Come on, you gotta catch this cat first!" Mick mocked as he dodged another fist. He flipped himself over Woodrock and onto his back, attempting to stab at the stony-villain, only for the knife to shatter. "That isn't good," Mick said as he tried to jump off Woodrock, who grabbed his tail. "Oh shit…"

"Indeed," Woodrock said as he raised Mick up and then slammed him down onto a pile of kitsune fur. Mick gave a disgusted look as he found himself lying in a pile of skinned fur, but it only got worse when the rocky and wooden fists of Woodrock were brought down on him. "Not so clever now, huh cat boy?!" he shouted as he pounded Mick, who groaned in pain. What hurt the worst of all was when he got punched in the masked face…

"Hang on, Mick!" Moxxie shouted while he and DJ kept shooting at Woodrock, but to no effect.

"Bahahaha! You can't stop me!" Woodrock declared as he kept pounding on Mick. "Out of the Henchmentals, I am the strongest one there is-" Suddenly, a rocket was launched straight into his head. "AAAH!" he cried as his head was knocked off from his body. His large body was then exploded by another rocket, causing him to crumble into rocks and branches. He wasn't dead, but it would take a while for him to pull himself together again.

Everyone turned and saw that the one who launched the missile was Lil' Prim. She had a rocket launcher on her shoulder. "Don't be messing with our Mick, ya hear?!"

"Quick, help him up!" Moxxie shouted as Loona and Whiskers went to help up the injured Mick. "Are you alright, Mick?"

"Still… alive… metaphorically," Mick groaned while looking like he was bruised all over.

"WAHAHAHAHA!" Wen laughed, getting everyone to look up at him. He was still flying up high. "You fools think you've had all the pieces, but it is I who shall slice you up with my wind!" he declared as he spun his arms around, creating gushes of wind.

While the gang tried to keep themselves from being blown away, Loona noticed a light in the window of an office behind Wen…

"Oh shit," Loona realized. "Dad, these guys are just a distraction! There is something going on in that office!"

"Then let's go check it out!" Blitz declared as he and Loona ran for the office, passing Moxxie and DJ, who were both shooting at Wen.

"We got you covered, sir!" Moxxie shouted.

In her office, Dr. Sonya Mera was burning documents. Documents that could be used to trace this operation back to Cruella and, more importantly, to Valentino. She knew that it was important not to leave behind any evidence…

"Where are you going to take me?!"

Sonya turned to Amaroq, who was in a cramped-looking cage and was looking at the beastly doctor in fear. Sonya smiled at her, perhaps wickedly.

"Well, I was going to give you to the boss as a gift, since she loves Hellpups like you, but now this operation is a bust and you are a witness to it, Amaroq," Sonya said after she finished setting the papers on fire. "So I'm going to have to silence you. You know too much…"

This frightened the young Hellpup, Amaroq backing away when Sonya reached for her cage…

Until the door was suddenly kicked open by Loona, while Blitz crashed through the office window and held his gun up to Sonya. "Step away from the cage, bitch!" he declared while seeing Sonya's appearance. "Oh, a unicorn, can't wait to skull fuck you when we're done here!"

Loona looked over at the caged Hellpup, who realized this was her sole hope of getting out of here. "Help! She's going to kill me!"

Sonya clicked her teeth in irritation. "Just what I need, interlopers."

"Just give it up, your operations are done for!" Loona told Sonya. "And we're taking the girl away from you!"

"I don't think so." Sonya's eyes glowed and she drew spell circles to shoot out magical blasts towards them, Loona and Blitz splitting up to dodge the spells. Sonya drew more spell circles and jumped through them, changing her appearance. She now had a reptilian left leg and a goat's right leg, bird and bat wings, on her left was a gorilla arm and on her right was an octopus's tentacle. She also sported a large gator tail. "You haven't faced the Ultimate Chimera!"

"What the shit?!" Loona shouted before the tentacle was launched at her, forcing her to dodge it.

"Just what kind of shit these witches have been doing?!" Blitz replied while dodging Sonya's gorilla fist.

"I may have died, but I still have my magic. And let me tell you, it definitely gives you an edge down here," Sonya said as she sprouted crab arms on her abdomen, her body expanding with a muscular physique. "Who knows, maybe one day I'll be running the show!" she shouted as she spit venom at the two, who dodged the venom as they ran around the room.

Loona went to grab the cage, but Sonya yanked the cage away with her crab arm. This pissed the Hellhound, who used one of her spells to blast Sonya back. Blitz fired multiple rounds at Sonya, who wasn't affected by the bullets due to her shell hide and her Sinner durability. Her gorilla arm grabbed a lamp and chucked it at Blitz, knocking him into the wall.

"Dad!" Loona shouted as Sonya flung a desk at her. Loona jumped over it, but was then grabbed by a tentacle and slammed to the floor. Loona groaned, but bit the tentacle with her teeth, forcing it to throw her away, Loona slamming against the wall next to Blitz.

"Dad? Wow, I had no idea you considered that imp a father," Sonya said with a sadistic grin. "So you are an imp who raised this Hellpup as his own kid, I assume? What's wrong? You couldn't get another imp knocked up so you had to adopt a mutt instead?"

Blitz angrily spat out some blood before firing his guns at Sonya, who just looked annoyed as she swung her tail at Blitz and Loona. Blitz was hit by the tail, but Loona flipped over it, grabbed his gun, and fired at the arm that held onto the cage, forcing Sonya to drop it. Loona used her telekinesis to pull the cage away from Sonya, but Sonya grabbed it again, this time with her tentacle. She pulled the cage back but Loona kept using her telekinesis to pull Amaroq toward her, refusing to give up.

"All this for a Hellpup?!" Sonya called her out.

"That Hellpup is not going to be another victim of Cruella's!" Loona declared.

"Even if she managed to escape, Amaroq will always be a target!" Sonya shouted with a grin, frightening Amaroq. "We'll always be coming for you, no matter what…"

Amaroq looked afraid, fearing what might happen to her if this was true.

"That's not going to happen!" Loona declared before she heard someone else enter the office.

"Mera!" Whiskers shouted, his eyes full of hate as his hands glowed. "I got a score to settle with you!"

"I'm sorry, who are you?" Sonya asked, looking at the cat with genuine confusion.

"I'll give you some… hints!" Whiskers shouted as he drew spell circles, launching icicles toward the Chimera Sinner. Sonya was stabbed by those icicles in her belly, neck, and limbs.

"AAAH!" she cried as she let go of the cage, Amaroq and her cage flying over to Loona, who caught it. Sonya backed away, feeling the stabbing cold pain on the icicles. "You brat!"

"Consider it penance for what you did to me… and to Nina, you bitch," Whiskers told her, making Sonya's eyes widen when he mentioned Nina's name.

Sonya growled and was about to lunge forward, but was then shot in the eyes by Blitz. "GAAAH! MY EYES!"

"Go! Go! Go!" Blitz told them as he, Loona, Whiskers, and a released Amaroq fled the office.

Once they were out, the walls of the office exploded behind them, revealing an irate Sonya. Blitz turned to her and shouted back. "Sorry, toots, but I'll take a rain check on 'fuck a unicorn' from my to-do list!" he mocked her.

"COME BACK HERE!" Sonya shouted while rubbing her eyes, which hurt like Hell thanks to Blitz. She looked up to Wen. "Wen! Stop them!"

Wen, who had been fighting Moxxie and DJ's crew, sent mini tornadoes towards them. Loona, who was holding Amaroq, rushed away from the mini tornado while Blitz and Whiskers scattered.

"Everybody, out!" Lil' Prim told them all as she held her rocket launcher to aim at Wen, locking onto her target. The bird demon was having his tornadoes chase Blitz, Loona, and Whiskers, not noticing the rocket until it was right next to him.

"What the-?!" Before he could finish, the rocket slammed into him and sent the screaming Sinner into the ceiling, where the rocket and the Sinner both exploded.

This caused the roof to start to crumble, the rest of the building also starting to collapse thanks to damage it took during the fight. Everyone began to get out, Bigz being helped up by Lars and Knots.

"Gang way!" Moxxie shouted as they ran for the nearest exit.

Sonya looked around at the collapsing building and then looked up, seeing a chunk of the ceiling falling toward her. Her eyes went wide. "Not again…"

CRASH!

As everyone else got out, the fur farm building fell right on top of Wen and Sonya. Once everyone had gotten to safety, they looked back and saw that the building was no more, Sonya and the other Sinners buried beneath. It would take them some time to get out…

"Well that takes care of that," DJ commented.

Loona sat Amaroq down. "Hey, hey you're going to be alright," she reassured her. "Are you okay?"

"I-I am," Amaroq replied with a shiver, tears leaking from her eyes. "T-Thank you, for saving me."

"Hey, it's no problem," Loona responded while checking on her. "My name's Loona, by the way. You're Amaroq, right?"

"Y-yeah," Amaroq confirmed.

"Are you injured anywhere? Did that mean lady hurt you?" Loona asked while checking her for injuries.

"I'm fine," Amaroq said before she went to hug Loona tightly. Loona was briefly surprised, but she quickly hugged her back. She heard Amaroq crying onto her shoulder as she patted the Hellpup on the back. "It's okay, you're safe with us. You're safe with us."

"Guys," Harvey said as he came over, joined by Lenny and Boo. "We've found something in some of those trucks."

Blitz, Moxxie, and Loona looked at each other in concern before Harvey led everyone to what they had found. Loona held Amaroq in her arms as they walked over to the trucks. When they got there, they along with DJ and his crew gasped when they saw what was inside those trucks, Loona immediately turning around to avert Amaroq's gaze and keep her from looking in the trucks…

"Amaroq, keep looking at me," Loona instructed her as Amaroq looked at Loona. "Whatever you do, do not look away. Just keep looking at me."

"O-okay, Loona," Amaroq said with a nod while looking only at Loona, but from the look in the Hellpup's eyes, Loona could tell that Amaroq already knew what she didn't want her to see.

They had found the rest of the Hellhounds… or more specifically, they had found their fur. The trucks were filled with kitsune and Hellhound fur, showing everyone that while they may have saved Amaroq and all those kitsunes… they didn't save everyone.

"Dear Satan…" Moxxie said as he tried to not throw up.

"There's no way I can stomach this…" DJ said while turning away. His crew looked just as disturbed at the sight.

"This is just cruel…" Mick said.

"By Lucifer…" Lars said before he threw up to the ground, Harvey patting his back.

Blitz tightened his fists and gave a snarl. "Burn them," he ordered. "Burn them all so that quack doesn't have anything to sell."

"On it, sir," Moxxie said while holding up a lighter. Whiskers helped by drawing spell circles to cast fire spells.

The two burned one truck full of fur, followed by another. DJ and Lil' Prim used their weapons to blow up another truck full of fur and the rest did the same. Setting each truck but the ones they had the living kitsunes in ablaze. All so Sonya won't have anything to give to Cruella.

Once they had finished their task, they met up at the truck full of kitsunes, where Moxxie asked what everyone was thinking right now. "So now that this is all over with… what's the next step?"

"What's going to happen to those little kits?" Lenny asked.

"Don't you worry, we know someone that can take care of these little guys," Harvey said. "Someone with a fondness for animals who will give the kitsunes a place where they will be safe."

"And we swear they're legit," Lars said. "Not a corrupt royal or Overlord, a legit contact we know we can trust."

Mick felt Snowflake nuzzle against his foot and he bent down to pick her up. "I think this one wants to be with me."

"But what about her?" Whiskers asked as he pointed to Amaroq.

"Sonya mentioned that there are going to be others that will be coming after her," Blitz said. "So we should probably take her somewhere Cruella can't get to her. Somewhere to lay low. And we need to find someone who can take care of her…"

"Can you not leave me?" Amaroq asked while holding Loona tightly. "I don't want to be alone, or sent away…"

Loona looked down at the Hellpup, who was frightened and shaken by this entire experience. It was all too familiar to Loona, who knew she had once been in the exact same situation. She adopted a determined look, knowing what she had to do. "I… I think we should take her," she said as she turned to Blitz. "With us, I mean. She's our responsibility, isn't she?"

Blitz was surprised by this. "Loona," he said. "I know you want to protect her, but we aren't exactly prepared to-"

"This is just like how you found me and took me in because I became your responsibility, right?" Loona pointed out to him, which made Blitz fall silent. "We found her, and we need to take responsibility for her, to help keep her away from the likes of Sonya or Cruella. I'm not leaving her behind, dad. Just like how you didn't leave me behind."

Blitz paused as he looked at Loona and how she was holding onto Amaroq protectively. It did remind him of himself, when he first found Loona. It seemed like Loona had taken after him in this manner…

"Well, aren't you a chip off the old horn," Blitz said with a sigh. "Okay, Amaroq stays with us. Keeping her safe is our new priority."

Loona smiled and went to her dad, Amaroq hugging him as well while still in Loona's arms. "Thanks, dad."

"Don't mention it, kid," Blitz said while patting his daughter's back. He then withdrew from the hug. "Now then, if we are gonna lay low for a while, we'll first have to swing by our house to pick up some things. Then, we'll go to Stolas and tell him what happened. He may have some ideas."

"I'm coming along with you guys," Moxxie said as he turned to Mick. "Guess I won't be coming back to the apartment for a while, depending on how this goes."

"Hey, at least I won't be alone while you're gone," Mick assured him as Snowflakes popped her head out of his pocket. "I got Snowflake to keep me company."

Loona turned to DJ and his crew. "What about you guys?"

"Don't worry about us, little lady. We cool cats know how to hide from danger," DJ said.

"As far as they know, we're just a cat gang invading their turf," Lil' Prim said. "But we'll keep a low profile until the heat dies down."

"We can watch over your house if you wish," Lenny suggested.

"I would advise against that, sir," Moxxie whispered to Blitz. "If you tell them where you live, they'll probably steal whatever isn't bolted down."

"I'll keep that in mind," Blitz whispered back with a nod.

And so, now that everyone was in agreement on what to do, they returned to their vehicles. Blitz, Loona, Moxxie, and Amaroq headed to their van. Lars and Harvey went to drive the truck full of kitsunes away, while Mick joined DJ and his crew on their bus. They went their separate ways, leaving before the Sinners came out of the rubble and informed their bosses of what happened that day…

At Valentino's Porn Studio, to say that Cruella was not happy would be an understatement.

"I can't believe that of all the fur-fucking-saken times!" Cruella screamed as she paced back and forth while drinking a bottle of booze. She then threw the booze on the wall, breaking the bottle. She turned to Gaston, Gothel, and Yzma, who sat around a table. "My livelihood! Ruined!"

"A little over-dramatic, Cruella?" Gothel asked while sipping her tea.

"Over-dramatic?!" Cruella snarled at the unfazed Gothel. "I just got a call from Sonya… all the fur that I paid for her to get… burned! Burned to ash along with my fur farm! They were going to be part of my new fashion line!" she ranted as she sat down, banging her fists on the table. "And I know who's responsible for this!"

"Incompetent employees?" Yzma suggested.

"Flammable wiring? That happened once when a film was shot here…" Gaston said.

"No, no… it was her!" Cruella declared, her face becoming more deranged while madness appeared in her eyes. "Loona… Loona, that Hellhound that escaped from my grasp all those years ago! The one who's responsible for preventing me from adopting more little pups!" She puffed out green smoke. "After so many years, she's come back to bite me! But…" She paused, pointing to Gaston. "Thanks to you, Gaston, I know where she works."

"So why not just go directly to the resort then?" Yzma asked her.

"Because Loona has powerful allies, so I'm just biding my time for now. Until I get a chance to strike," Cruella said while pulling out a photo of Loona from back when she was just a Hellpup. She lit her cigarette. "Oh, it's been years since she escaped from my grasp, but I never forgot her. And I will have her, in the end…"

She looked at the photo while frowning. She then placed her cigarette on the photo of Loona, burning it. She smiled at that and began to sing…

"As a child, 'Mums and Daddums' taught me, 'Do to others as they do to you.' I tried to be good, and to do just as I should, but a burning inside of me grew…" she sang to her group.

"As a lad, I was small and tiny," Gaston sang. "Kids would laugh and they'd call me names. They chose books, I chose looks and then one by one… I hunted them down just for fun." He gave a smirk.

"Oh darling!" Cruella laughed while patting Gaston's shoulder. "What is this feeling that I tried to deny, I never thought that I could feel so alive!"

"Power and drive, it simply can't be denied, so indulge your darker side!" Gaston suggested.

"What is this feeling, that's so dark and unknown?! I feel it coursing through my veins and my bones!" Cruella described while having an unusual feeling in her form.

"Now that I know, I swear I won't let it go!" Gothel also sang with a smirk. "Cause being bad, never looked so good!"

"Ravishing, darling!" Cruella declared.

Yzma then began to sing. "For a woman of my charm and beauty, it took years for me to reach my peak! But I was forgotten, out of view so I pondered(wouldn't you?), why was I never given my due…" Yzma then stood up. "Something stirred inside of me…"

"A beast within I must set free!" Gaston declared.

"A sense inside, I can't explain, there's a rage I can't contain!" Yzma sang

"What is this feeling that I tried to deny?" Gothel sang as she stood up. "I never thought I could feel so alive… Power and drive, it simply can't be denied, so indulge your darker side~!"

"What is this feeling that's so dark and unknown?" Gaston wondered.

"I feel it coursing through my veins and my bones!" Cruella sang "Now that I know, I swear I won't let it go…"

"Cause being bad never looked so good!" all four sang together.

"Evening y'all. A chanté."

Everyone turned to the shadows in the corner of the room and saw someone step out of. He was a slim, tall black man wearing a purple top hat with a skull and crossbones. He had deep purple eyes and a black-line mustache above his lips. He wore a dark brown coat jacket with a violet shirt, a necklace full of bones, and a red waist belt, dark-brown pants and tap shoes.

Some knew him as the Shadow Man. Others knew him as Dr. Facilier…

"Where did you come from?" Yzma asked in surprise.

"The shadows of course!" Dr. Facilier told them. "I heard y'all's little song. Y'all done a lot to make bad look good, but I happen to know someone who's mastered transformation central…"

"What are you yammering about?" Gothel asked him.

Dr. Facilier began to sing. "From beneath the waves and the sands down below, you can't fathom the depths that this sea witch will go! Extreme makeovers are part of her game. She even went so far as to change her name. Enter the Queen from under the sea, our guest has arrived, take a look and you'll see!"

The door to the room flew open and everyone turned to see the newcomer. She was a woman with dark indigo hair with lighter blue streaks. She had pink skin and wore a blue headdress, a blue dress with a cape, and armbands on both of her wrists. In the Underworld, she was known as Hecate, Demigoddess of Witchcraft. But her reflection exposed her true nature… Ursula the Sea Witch disguised as Hecate.

"Now, now, we mustn't lurk in doorways," Dr. Facilier said in a playful tone before disappearing in the shadows.

"It's rude," the disguised Usurla said before she started to sing. "I had a thirst that I couldn't deprive… a change for the worse than I couldn't deny!" she sang as she walked around the group. "I played by the rules, but now I play the fools, the predator this time is me~!"

The five villains sang together. "What is this feeling I try to deny? I never thought that I could feel so alive!"

Yzma: "Power and drive, it simply can't be denied…"

"So indulge your darker side!" they all sang. "What is this feeling that's so dark and unknown? I feel it coursing through my veins and my bones!"

Gothel: "Cause there's something inside me that I can't explain…"

Cruella: "A burning desire that drives me insane!"

Ursula: "Cause being bad, never looked…"

"SO GOOD!" they all sang before laughing together.

At Blitz and Loona's apartment, Blitz was in his room packing up everything he could fit into his suitcase. Moxxie was helping him out while Amaroq watched.

"Alright Mox, take these to the van," Blitz said as he handed Moxxie some suitcases.

"What did you pack, sir?" he asked him.

"Oh, you know. The essentials. Mainly clothes, toothbrushes, false IDs, and some horse junk," Blitz told him, making his employee arch an eyebrow. "Don't ask."

Amaroq looked down the hall, wondering if Loona needs any help with packing…

In Loona's room, she was packing her clothes and things into the large suitcase. She then looked around before going under her bed. She pulled out a shoe box and opened it up. She sighed as she pulled out an item that she had kept hidden. An item that not even her own dad knew that she had…

An angelic dagger.

"Loona?"

Hearing Amaroq's voice, Loona quickly hid the dagger in a piece of cloth and put it in her suitcase before she turned to Amaroq. "Hey, Amaroq. Wha… what is it that you need?"

"I was just wondering if you need any help packing?" Amaroq asked her.

"I'm good, but thanks for asking," Loona replied while zipping up the suitcase. "Just got some extra clothes, my toothbrush, my phone, everything's in order."

Amaroq was silent for a moment as she looked up to Loona. "I just want to say… thank you, again, for saving me from Sonya, Loona. I don't want to think about what would have ended if you and your friends didn't show up…"

"Well, don't worry about what could have happened, just be glad that you get to see another tomorrow," Loona said, patting her shoulder. "Come, let's take this to the van."

Loona and Amaroq went outside to the van while Blitz and Moxxie continued to pack some things. After Loona placed the suitcase inside and lifted Amaroq into the van, she heard someone call out to her.

"Loona."

She turned around and saw a Hellhound that wore a hoodie. "Um… hi, do I… know you?" she asked him, confused how he knew her name.

"Don't you recognize me…" the hooded Hellhound said as he pulled down his hood, revealing himself to be a white furred wolf hellhound. His right eye was red with a yellow iris and his left eye was gray with white iris. He had a scar and black patches on his ear to the left side of his face. "…Sister."

Loona's eyes widened and she gasped in realization. "Oh my… Cyrus?" Loona asked in shock. Her body started to shake. "Dear Lucifer… you're here… how did you find me?!"

"I saw you online," he said. "You turned out to be a hit on Voxtube. When I saw you, I… I wanted to make sure that it was you, so I did some digging and found out where I could find you"

"I… wow!" Loona exclaimed, rustling her hair. "I've been looking for you all this time, Cyrus! All these years, and now you're here!" She tried to approach him, but he halted her.

"Don't," he told her with a glare, his tone cold. "If you've really been looking for me all this time, then stop. I don't want to be found. Especially not by you…"

"Cyrus…" Loona's ears dropped, shocked that he was telling her this. "Don't you know how long has it been since I-"

"I know how long, but I don't care, Loona!" he told her with a hiss. "And I don't want you to reach out to me either! I just…" He paused. "I just wanted to make sure that you were alive. And I see that you seem to be doing pretty well. But for me, I just want to be left alone to my life… without you."

"But… why?" Loona asked with a heartached tone.

"You know why…" Cyrus sneered as he gave her a venomous glare. "After all… you killed our baby sister."

A few minutes later, Blitz came out of the apartment with Moxxie. "Alright, I think that's about-" He stopped, seeing Loona on the pavement crying. Amaroq stood next to her, trying to comfort her. Cyrus was nowhere to be seen. "Loona?" he asked in concern as he rushed over to her aid.

Loona kept crying, tears flooding from her eyes. "Loona, Loona what's wrong?" her father asked as he knelt down. "Why… why are you crying? Is everything alright?" Loona looked up at her dad, unable to make room so she just hugged him. And even though Blitz didn't know what was going on, he immediately hugged her back. Moxxie stood nearby, also concerned about seeing Loona while she was like this.

And as Blitz held onto his daughter, neither imp nor Hellhound knew how alike that they were more alike than they realized…

A bruised and burned younger Blitz stared at the green inferno in front of him. An inferno that he caused. He was dressed in his jester outfit, or at least what was left of it. Looking around, he saw some of his fellow circus performers. Some were embracing each other. Others were just staring at the flames in horror.

Blitz tried to keep it together, but it was too much of him. As he started to break down and cry, he felt the ground tremble beneath him. Suddenly, a horse running from the flames slammed into him while other horses ran past him. Blitz fell to the ground and then immediately felt the hoof of another horse stamp on the back of his head. He defensively curled up into a ball until the horses passed and when he weakly lifted his face off the ground, it was bleeding and he could barely keep his eyes open. He did spot a firefighter carrying a body covered in a blanket to an ambulance.

He then saw his sister, Barbie, crying into the shoulder of their father, a long-horned imp man, Cash Buckzo, who was looking ahead with this thousand yard stare.

Before Blitz could say or do anything, he fainted, the fire continuing behind him…

Years ago, Blitz had made a mistake, a mistake that haunted him to this day and was the reason for his sister's anger toward him. He had never told Loona the full story, but perhaps if he had, she would have related to it, having made a mistake of her own once as well…

At the orphanage, little Loona sat on a chair in an office, looking down as she waited. There were some adults in front of her, giving her angry and stern looks. Wondering what her fate was, Loona was then led out of the room. They grabbed her hand as they took her to the entrance of the orphanage.

Loona wondered where her brother was until she spotted him. Cyrus was in the corner hugging himself. "Cyrus? Cyrus!" she called out for him, but the adults pulled her back. She struggled against their grip. "Let me go! Cyrus! Cyrus, help me!"

Cyrus ignored Loona, unable to even bring himself to look at her as he wiped away his tears. Loona tried to get to him, but one of the adults picked her up and carried her out of the orphanage, ignoring her screaming. That was the last time she saw her twin brother…

Until today, of course.

Loona kept hugging Blitz while he held onto her. They made for quite the damaged pair.

If this chapter seemed shorter than the last few, that's because it was, although this chapter was still longer than the first two. Chapters of Helluva Dad are only as long as they need to be. So sometimes they will be shorter than the average Luz Clawthorne chapter, just as long as they still do what they need to do. The title of this chapter is a reference to how Loona finds herself in the same position Blitz did years ago, having rescued a Hellpup and realized they need to take responsibility for said Hellpup. It is also a reference to the reveal that Blitz and Loona's pasts mirror each other, both of them being responsible for the death of a family member which led to their sibling hating them. Ironically, neither Blitz and Loona have been able to help each other over their shared trauma because neither have been unable to be fully open about their pasts, another thing that they have in common. If you're wondering why the flashback of Loona being separated from her brother is different from the one in the first chapter, that's because that was Loona's dream and how she wants to remember that moment instead of how it really happened.

Snowflake, the little kitsune that Mick took in, is from Moheart7's fanfic "The Owlette and the Cat". There, she is Mick's pet kitsune, although how he gets her in that fic is different from how he gets her here. In Moheart7's fic, depending on they're raised kitsunes can either grow to be no bigger than a Chihuahua or grow large enough to become bipedal and sentient like a Hellhound. These kitsunes were definitely on the smaller and younger side, especially compared to the kitsunes that are in Luz Clawthorne, which are fully bipedal and sentient. Both examples of small and fully grown kitsunes actually appeared in the earlier chapter "Fly Young". There are other Yokai in Hell, but of course they're not originally native to Hell. We decided to include the kitsunes in this chapter as a reference to fox fur farms, which are real and horrible. If you want to learn about efforts to free these fox fur farms, we suggest the YouTube channel Save a Fox.

The song of this chapter "Bad Never Looked So Good", is from The Villains Lair, a YouTube series from PattyCake Productions starring the Disney villains. The earlier introduction of Gaston, Gothel, and Yzma was meant to set this up. Regarding Ursula's role, for readers not caught up on Luz Clawthorne, Ursula escaped her imprisonment in Tartarus by disguising herself as the demigoddess Hecate and switching places with her, allowing her to get into Hades's good graces. Her appearance here follows up on that, while the surprise appearance from Dr. Facilier is tied into LC's current arc and stuff that hasn't happened in LC yet, since right now HD is ahead of Luz Clawthorne, the Day of Unity having already passed.

Blitz's flashback at the end is a reference to the "Goodbye Horses" Helluva Boss fan animation by dwinni, which we highly recommend checking out. This chapter also marks the end of Helluva Dad's first arc. For the second arc, we'll be going down to the Wrath Ring.

But before then, stay tuned for the next LC chapter, coming soon…

Review Section:

Matteso585: 1) Well Moxxie hasn't been to Pride much, as he's mostly lived in Greed. So he probably heard from rumors in how Charlie's reputation is. After all, some worship and respect her while others not so much. 2) Not in this chapter, but probably later in the fic. 3) Let's see. 4) If she makes it out of the 'villain of the chapter' trope. 5) We'll see.

As for the last line, well we just threw in Jake and the Neverland Pirates for fun. The Lion Guard felt like someone made an OC fanfic of the Lion King II and made it to Disney. Same can be said about Hunchback II, which we don't find it canon.

Blue Tagg: Well, she didn't hit him. Just that she's pissed that he's cheating on her, which is understandable. And if you read LC enough, well… I can't keep any promises. Though it doesn't really excuse abusive behavior, we acknowledged who Stella is, but you'll have to wait and see throughout the fic.

Crash X Fusion: Yeah, The Looney Tunes Show came into mind.

Spantidem7: 1) No spoilers. 2) Yeah, he is. Though we do have some plans for him in the future. 3) Nope. 4) Power scaling is a bullshit concept and should not be used to measure one's strength.

Thing about your theory on the Order and Lucifer, the Order stays neutral between Heaven and Hell. Which is why there's no official representative member. Also, Lucifer may know the DuckTale universe, and like Zeus, he's probably aware of the Duck-Devil there…

Ultimate-drax: Hope you like how Amaroq is written.

Moheart7: Thanks, and we hope that you like how we handle Snowflake.
