Chapter 9: Loona & Blitz

It was another day at Carrie's farm and everyone was doing their morning chores, although it didn't stay that way for long…

Over at the pens where the animals were being kept, Amaroq was sitting on the fence, watching the animals. She noticed a lonesome hellpig by itself, away from the others. As Amaroq set her sights on the pig, her mouth started to water and she licked her small chomps.

'Yum!' she thought as she hopped off the fence and began to slowly creep up on the pig, unnoticed by the animal… until the pig turned to her. The pig saw the look in her eyes and her fangs showing and as he realized what that meant, Amaroq jumped onto him. The pig squealed as Amaroq tried to bite him and it began running around to knock her off. He managed to succeed, Amaroq falling onto the ground and looking up at the pig. "Hey! Come back! I just want a bite!"

She soon started chasing the pig out of the pen around the farm, the pig using his little legs to run as fast as possible. Amaroq's chomps kept biting at the air, narrowly missing the pig's rear. The pig ran through the chicken coop, Amaroq following. Moments later, panicked clucking could be heard coming from inside as the coop shook around. Some of the chickens ended up flying out of there as the pig ran out as well, Amaroq still chasing him.

The pig ran through the cowpens as Amaroq followed. The demon cows started mooing in alarm while Amaroq chased the pig around them, getting them rattled. Blitz walked over to the cows.

"What's gotten you cows mooing-GAH!" Blitz shouted as he was knocked over by the pig, causing him to fall in the mud. Amaroq ran over his fallen body, still chasing the pig. "Ow…" he groaned.

"Dad?" Loona asked as she walked over, spotting Amaroq as she chased after the pig. Her eyes widened in alarm. "Amaroq, stop! No!" she called out, rushing over to stop the hellpup from chasing the pig. The pig ran past her, but when Amaroq tried to run past as well, Loona managed to snatch her off the ground. "Hey, hey! Quit chasing the pig, will ya?"

"But he looks potentially delicious," Amaroq pouted while looking at the scared pig, mouth still watering. This made Loona sigh.

After cleaning himself up, Blitz came out of the house and passed by a barrel. From behind the barrel popped out a green, fuzzy monster.

"Ooga-booga!" cried the monster.

"GAAH!" Blitz shouted as he jumped back in fright, only to see the monster remove its head, revealing itself to be Amaroq in a mask. "Amaroq!"

"Hehehe," the mischievous hellpup snickered at Blitz's reaction.

Later, Amaroq passed by Carrie, who was carrying some hay.

"Where are ya going with that paint bucket?" Carrie asked her.

"Gonna paint the barn," Amaroq responded. "I heard that it needs repainting."

Carrie smiled. "Sounds good. I'll check up on ya once I finish stacking the hay, okay?"

"Alright," Amaroq said as she walked around to the side of the barn. She put down the paint bucket and looked around, making sure that no one else was watching as she saw three critters coming up to her…

Later, Carrie finished stacking the hay and decided to go check up on Amaroq's progress with the barn

"Alright, let's see how you did-" Carrie paused when she saw what Amaroq had done to the side of the barn. "FLIPPIN FLAMMIN, WHAT THE HELL?!"

"Do you like what we did?" Amaroq asked proudly as she and the Hell Sprites were painting a gruesome scene. The side of the barn now depicted the horrid image of dead demons and animals, all of them bitten, mauled, and placed in a pile. Standing above them was Amaroq herself, sitting on a throne of bones.

"Wow, I have never seen anyone lose color like that," one Hell Sprite said, noticing the disturbed look Carrie was giving.

Loona had just finished giving water to the animals. As she started to walk back to the house, she saw a barrel in the middle of the field. "Huh?" she asked as she noticed the barrel shake before out of it popped a large snake.

"HIISSS!"

'GAH!" Loona shouted as she jumped back, feeling her heart racing from the scare. She then saw that the snake was actually Amaroq, who removed her mask and laughed. "Amaroq!"

"Kehehe," Amaroq snickered at Loona's reaction.

Elsewhere in the field, Blitz was working up a sweat as he pulled out weeds when he heard the sound of a tractor.

"What the…?" he asked as he turned around and saw the tractor going through the field. His eyes widened when he saw how it was moving around frantically and he was even more shocked when he saw who was driving the tractor…

"Yeehaw!" Amaroq cried out while being the one on the wheel, going for a joyride on the tractor.

"SHIT!" Blitz shouted when he realized that the tractor was coming toward him. "GAAAH! Amaroq, stop!" he cried out while running away from the tractor. Unfortunately for him, Amaroq didn't see nor hear Blitz as she kept driving. "YAAAAAAHH!"

"Amaroq! Where are you?" Carrie called out, looking for the hellpup around the house until she stumbled upon another barrel. She sighed and went up to the barrel. "Now ah'm aware of this trick you're pulling, kiddo," she said as she lifted open the barrel's lid. "But t'ere ain't no way you'll be scare me-" She looked in and saw that the barrel was empty, much to her confusion. "Huh…"

"CAW!" Amaroq shouted while wearing a big-headed crow mask as she came out of the window behind Carrie.

"YAH!" Carrie screamed as she fell to the ground, causing Amaroq to laugh at her own mischief. "AMAROQ!"

Soon afterward, Amaroq was brought inside, where she sat on a chair while looking down at the floor. She was now under 'time out'. Blitz, Loona, and Carrie were in another room, discussing Amaroq's actions.

"To be honest, I did not expect Amaroq to be this much of a handful," Loona said with a groan.

"What did ya expect?" Carrie asked. "After all, she's still just a kid. They always misbehavin' out of boredom."

Loona turned to Blitz. "Was I like that when I was her age?"

"Well, you weren't mischievous," Blitz admitted. "But… I wasn't exactly prepared for all of your many needs back then. You may have watched kids before, Loony, but taking care of them for a few hours is very different from taking care of them full-time. Kids, especially kids as young as Amaroq, need constant care," he pointed out. "Honestly, I don't think there's anything wrong with Amaroq, she's just acting her age. Which is actually a good thing after everything she went through at the um... ur-fay arm-fay." He whispered the last part. "Kids get bored, they want attention, and they cause trouble. What we need is to find a way to get through to her."

Realizing how much she underestimated what taking care of Amaroq would mean, Loona looked down thoughtfully before replying. "I think I should talk to her."

"Don't worry, Loona, I can do it," Blitz offered.

"No, it should be me," Loona said. "I was the one who insisted that we take her in. Amaroq's my responsibility."

Blitz looked at Loona before smiling. "Alright, I'll leave her to you."

After the talk, Loona took Amaroq outside to the barn where the hellpup had painted her grotesque painting. Each of them were carrying paint buckets.

"I don't want to do this," Amaroq complained.

"It'll only take longer the more you complain about it," Loona pointed out while holding the paint brushes. "Now if we work together, the work will go faster." She handed Amaroq the brush. "Sound like a sweet deal?"

Amaroq looked at the brush, realizing Loona was right. "Yeah…" she said before she started to help Loona repaint the side of the barn.

"So why did you paint this morbid painting in the first place?" the teenager asked the pup as they worked.

"I was just trying to have some fun around here," Amaroq admitted while repainting over the gruesome painting. "I don't get what the big deal is."

"Well, let me put it like this. Carrie was very kind for letting us stay here, and it would be wrong to inconvenience her," Loona pointed out. "If we weren't repainting the barn right now, she would have to be doing it by herself because of what you did. Now, does that sound fun for her?"

Amaroq thought about it for a moment before she looked down. "No, it doesn't…"

"Also, you could have seriously hurt my dad with that tractor stunt," Loona said with a frown. "Now does that sound like it would have been fun for him?"

"It doesn't…" Amaroq replied, feeling more guilty about it the more she thought about it.

"Look, I understand that you want to have fun, but fun can't come at the expense of others," Loona said. "Especially those that have been nothing but nice to you like Carrie and dad."

Realizing that Loona was right, Amaroq gave her an apologetic look. "Oh… oh, man. I'm sorry, Loona. I promise to apologize to Carrie and your dad after we finish the barn."

Loona smiled. "Now that's a step up."

The two continued to paint, mostly in silence. But as they worked, Amaroq looked over at Loona, remembering something about the older hellhound and wondering about it.

"Say Loona, can I ask you something?" she asked her.

"Sure, anything," Loona responded.

"Remember that when we met, you said that your dad found you and took you in?" Amaroq asked her. "I'm curious about what you meant by that."

Loona paused, thinking about what she should tell Amaroq before she gave a sigh. "Well, to tell you the truth… I was once in a position very similar to yours, Amaroq."

"Really?" Amaroq asked, even more intrigued.

"When I was around your age, I was nearly a victim of this very cruel woman… Cruella De Vil." The mention of the name shocked Amaroq and made her whimper fearfully as Loona continued. "I was adopted by her, once. And then I learned what she did to the hellpups she adopted. I could've been her next victim… if it weren't for my dad. The second he realized she wanted to hurt me, he decided to save me and we managed to escape together."

"Wow," Amaroq said in shock. After a moment of quiet, she looked back up at Loona. "Can you tell me more? What happened after your dad saved you?"

"Sure," Loona said as she dipped her brush into the paint some more. "After we escaped from that mad woman, dad knew we had to lay low, just like we're doing now…"

After they had managed to escape from Cruella, Blitz brought Little Loona back to his apartment. As they came in together, her first impression of the place… was that it was a mess.

"Well, this is my place," Blitz told her while looking around at the messy apartment. The floor was covered in dirty clothes, dishes were stacked up in the sink, there were ashtrays full of Satan-knows-what, and there were some stains on the wall. Blitz rubbed the back of his head. "Uh, sorry for the mess, I wasn't expecting to bring a guest over anytime soon… or ever."

Lil' Loona gave a wince after taking a whiff of the place. "It smells worse than the sewers…"

"Again, I'm sorry for that, I could've taken you next door but the neighbors installed locks this time," Blitz admitted while he went to sit down on the couch. "Sit anywhere you'd like."

Loona carefully moved through the apartment, trying to find somewhere relatively clean she could sit. She found a recliner and jumped on. "So… now what?"

"That's what I'm trying to figure out," Blitz admitted. He hadn't exactly thought that far ahead yet. He turned to the young hellpup and there was a moment of awkward silence as he tried to think what to do with a kid like her. "So… you hungry?"

"Yeah," she admitted after a moment as Blitz got up.

"Then let's get you something to eat," he told her as he went over to the kitchen.

He went to his pantry and looked inside, frowning when he saw that his food selection wasn't… the most diverse. He wondered how long it had been since he stocked up and he made a mental note to get more groceries when he had the chance. "Okay, I got chips, canned beans, ramen… not the best but, we'll have to make do for now, won't we?"

"I'd just eat about anything, to be honest," Loona admitted as Blitz nodded and picked out some food for Loona.

After cooking up some of the food and placing it on a clean plate, Loona began to eat her beans and noodles. The two were sitting at a table, Blitz looking at Loona and watching her scarf her dinner down like she was a starving animal. He wondered if Cruella had fed her at all… or if the place Cruella had got her from had fed her at all.

"How is it?" he asked her.

"Pretty good," she admitted while slurping down the noodles.

"Good, good," Blitz said before he thought about how he found Loona. "So… what did you see back there?" he asked, causing Loona to pause and an uncomfortable silence to fall over them. "Hey, you can tell me anything, kid. I just want to help you out."

She hesitated, debating with herself over if she should tell him about what she saw back at the mansion or not. She was nervous, especially since she barely knew Blitz… but she did feel like she could tell him what she saw.

"I… I was just exploring around," Loona admitted. "I ended up going into a room that I wasn't supposed to and… I found fur coats. But they were made from… the previous hellpups and hellhounds she adopted." Blitz gave a look of horror when she told him this as she continued. "There were even pictures of them looking scared, some of them weren't even clothed…"

"Christ…" Blitz gasped in horror.

"They were spotted breeds, and their furs still had blood stains on them," Loona continued while looking down at her food, the fork in her hand shaking. "She kept their body parts, their heads, tails, paws… even their bones were up on display. Even the organs she kept in jars, and those tools…" She was shivering when she recounted what she saw back there.

"Hey, you don't have to say more, kid," Blitz told her, having heard enough. He frowned. This was worse than he thought. He had seen and met deranged Sinners before, but Cruella sounded even worse than the usual Sinner. "I am so sorry that you went through that, kid. But you are never going back there."

Loona looked up at him. "I'm not going back to the pound either, am I?"

Blitz shook his head. "Of course not."

"Promise me that you won't let her get me?" Loona asked him.

"I promise," Blitz said with a nod. "You have my word, kid."

Loona gave Blitz a small smile. "So… I guess it's my turn to ask you questions."

"Oh, sure. Ask away," Blitz encouraged.

"Well… are you a thief? Because I did hear that you were planning on robbing the place…" she asked him.

Before Blitz could answer, he heard knocking at the door. The two looked at the door, Loona whimpering fearfully. "Wait here," Blitz told her as Loona became quiet and hid behind the couch while Blitz approached the door, holding his gun ready.

"BLITZO! We know you're in here!" Harvey's voice shouted.

"You got a lot to explain!" Lars shouted.

Loona hid while hearing the voices, hearing Blitz opening the door. "Guys, hey, glad to see you two-"

"Glad to see us our ass!" Harvey shouted at him.

"When we woke up, we saw Cruella's house on fire!" Lars told him. "Did you make off with some stuff without us?!"

This pretty much confirms Loona's question about Blitz being a thief.

"Uh… look, guys, the thing is, I kinda did, but it isn't what you think," Blitz said while the two looked at him in anger. "Look, look, just… Loona! Mind if you come out now!"

"Is it safe?" Loona asked.

"Don't worry, they are just some friends of mine," Blitz reassured her as Loona popped her head out from behind the couch. Lars and Harvey were shocked to see the young Hellpup there. "Guys, this is Loona. Loona, meet my friends Lars and Harvey."

Looking worried, Harvey turned to Blitz. "Say, Blitz, mind explaining to us about her deal?"

And so, Blitz explained to the two what went down when he snuck into Cruella's place and how he found Loona. When Loona told them about what she saw, the two were shocked.

"Dear Lucifer, those rumors were true," Harvey said while looking concerned. "Cruella adopts Hellpups to turn them into fur coats."

"What are you going to do, Blitz?" Lars asked.

"Well I do know that I ain't letting that bitch get Loona again," Blitz responded with a serious look. "Even if that means I have to take care of her."

A moment passed, Lars and Harvey looking shocked. "EEH?!"

"Oh relax, you guys don't think I'm cut out for this?" Blitz questioned.

"Well… to be honest, we never figured you'd be the fatherly type," Lars admitted.

"Look, all I know is that the kid is my responsibility now and I gotta do what I can to protect her," Blitz admitted while looking at Loona, who was still a little fearful of Lars and Harvey, especially the much taller Lars. Blitz sighed. "At least until I can find something better."

Harvey and Lars looked at each other, a bit surprised by their friend and partner.

"That is… mighty decent of you, Blitz," Lars said.

"Thanks," Blitz said. "And look, you don't have to get involved-"

"Don't even finish that, Blitz," Harvey interrupted. "We want to help in any way that we can. If you or Loona need anything, just ask."

As she listened to this, Loona smiled a little. Even though she was still scared after what happened to her, she did feel like she could trust Blitz… and his friends as well.

She felt safer already.

Later that night, after Lars and Harvey left, Blitz brought Loona to his bedroom, where he helped tuck her into bed.

"There, you can have my bed, kid," Blitz told her.

"But what about you?" Loona asked him.

"Oh, I'll just crash on the couch tonight," he reassured her while patting her on the head. "We'll figure something out tomorrow. Sleep tight."

Loona gave him a smile. "Good night, Mr. Blitz."

"Goodnight, Loona," Blitz responded before he turned off the lights and left Loona alone, returning to the living room where he hit the couch.

As the night progressed, Blitz slept on the couch and everything was quiet…

"EEEEEEEK!"

The sound of Loona's screaming woke him up, making him fall off the couch and hit the floor. "Shit!" he grunted. He immediately got up, pulled out his gun, and ran to his bedroom. "Loona, I'm here!" he shouted, busting the door open. But much to his surprise… Loona was alone.

Loona was sitting up in bed. When she saw Blitz, she jumped out and ran over to hug him tightly. "I… I thought, I-"

"Hey, hey, what's wrong?" Blitz asked in a worried tone while holding her.

"I… I had a bad dream," she admitted, shivering and tearing up. "I thought… I thought I was gonna… that she would…"

Blitz realized what had happened and he sighed in relief. "Shh, it's okay. I'm here," Blitz said, calming her down while also setting his gun down on the nearby dresser.

He kept holding onto her, never not letting go until she calmed down. He rubbed her back gently, which greatly helped to calm the young hellpup down.

"Better?" he asked her.

"A little…" she admitted with a sniff. "I… I don't know if I'll ever sleep. I'm sorry for waking you up…"

"Hey, it's no big," Blitz reassured her, playing it off. "Want me to stay by your side until you fall asleep?"

Loona quickly gave him a nod. "Uh-huh…"

Blitz picked her up and placed her back to bed, tucking her in as he tried to think about what he could do to help her fall asleep. "Maybe I could tell you a story to help you fall asleep or…" He got an idea. "How about I sing you a lullaby?"

"A lullaby?" she asked him, trying to think of the last time someone had sung her to sleep. The only thing that came to her mind… was her mother.

"Yeah, it's something I was taught when I was your age," Blitz said. "Do you think it will help?"

Loona considered it. "I… don't think it would hurt," she said softly.

Blitz nodded, cleared his throat, and began to sing. "Close your eyes, little imp blue. Inside of you, lies a rainbow…"

Loona listened, despite Blitz's off-key tone. Around him, she just felt safe.

"Yellow, blue, red, blue, purple too," he sang while moving the cover over her. "Blue, purple, and green, then the yellow…"

She felt at ease, Loona's eyes slowly closing while Blitz continued to sing. "Rest your head, little imp blue. Come paint your dreams on your pillow." He helped her head lay on the pillow as he sang. "I'll be near to chase away fear. So sleep now and dream 'til tomorrow, I'll be near to chase away fear. So sleep now, and dream 'til tomorrow…"

He looked to see that Loona had fallen asleep, this time dreaming peacefully. It brought a warm smile to his face. "Good night, Loona," he whispered.

The following morning, Blitz decided that his apartment should be nicer for Loona. That meant he was going to have to do a deep cleaning.

He started with picking up all the dirty clothes he had laying around. He gathered them all up in a basket. However, he didn't realize just how much dirty clothes he had, so he decided to throw some of them in the garbage… which created a problem when he was picking up trash and realized that his trash cans were now full. So to get rid of the trash, he decided to open up one of his widows and throw the bags out the window.

Using a vacuum, he began to clean carpets… and the walls, having to go over certain stains several times. He made sure to not go near his room where Loona was still sleeping, not wanting to disturb her. He would have to clean that room later. As he vacuumed, he ended up looking under his couch and found some gross shit under there…

"Shit, when was the last time…" Blitz groaned at the stench.

After vacuuming, he brought out a bucket of water, detergent, and spray. He sprayed everything, especially in the bathroom. Then he began to scrub the walls, floor, sink, toilet, and tub before he realized something.

"Wait, did I clean up the kitchen?" he wondered.

When he got to the kitchen, he realized that it definitely needed a deep cleaning. As he sprayed the counters and walls, he found some bugs crawling around and he used a mallet to smash them.

"Cheaper than calling an exterminator," he declared as he went to deal with the piles of dirty dishes. He would have put them in the dishwater… but that was just as dirty as the plates, so he had to clean that as well. Afterward, he started to load it up with dishes… only to run out of room, so he had to put some of the plates in the sink for now.

After spending the early morning deep cleaning his place, Blitz gave a big sigh. "Well, that takes care of that. Now to make breakfast."

He opened the fridge… and immediately winced. "Okay, after today, I'm getting a new fridge," he said as he began to go through the fridge, throwing away anything that was expired… which was a lot.

Once he was finally able to make breakfast, the smell of food woke Loona up. The little hellpup left her room and walked over to the kitchen, where she saw the food on the table, made for her and Blitz.

"Hey, good morning," Blitz said, having made some cereal, cooked sausages, and toast. "This is about what I got for breakfast, but hopefully you'll enjoy it."

"Thank you, Mr. Blitz," Loona replied while hopping up to take a seat. Blitz passed her a plate, which she stared at with hungry eyes before digging in.

"How is it?" he asked her.

"Great," Loona replied with her mouth full as she kept eating. Blitz was about to eat some breakfast as well, but then he saw that Loona had already finished and was looking at his food with wide eyes. He sighed and passed the plate to her. "Here, kid. You need it more than I do."

Loona stood up in her chair, her tail wagging. "Thank you, Mr. Blitz!" she shouted as she took his plate and helped herself to seconds.

By the time breakfast was over, Loona had eaten more than Blitz had expected and Blitz definitely knew that he would have to restock his fridge and pantry. As he thought about this, he heard a knock on the door, which made Loona whimper.

"Wait here," he told her as he stood up and walked over to the door. "Who is it?"

"It's us, Blitz. Lars and Harvey," the voice of Harvey responded.

Blitz quickly unlocked the door and opened it, letting the two in. "Just in time, guys," he said as Lars and Harvey came in while carrying some bags.

"We got the stuff for Loona that you asked for," Lars said while on his way to the kitchen. "Huh, this place smells better than I remember."

"And since when can you cook?" Harvey asked Blitz, who grumbled slightly, before turning to Loona. "Hey squirt, how was your first night?"

"Pretty good," Loona responded before seeing the bags Lars and Harvey were carrying. "What's in there?"

"Oh this? Well, Blitz asked us to get these for you last night," Harvey responded.

"Yeah, stuff that you need like food, clothes, medicine, toys, and other things," Lars said.

"Ooh…" Loona said while looking at the bags like a kid would look at Santa's sack. She looked back up at Lars and Harvey. "Did you guys steal that stuff?"

Lars and Harvey awkwardly looked at each other. "Well, you see…" Harvey started to say.

"We wouldn't call it stealing-" Lars said nervously.

"All we did was um, find them-"

"And since nobody else claimed them-"

"Guys, I'm seven, not two. You don't have to pretend you're not criminals," Loona told them. "I don't have an issue with you guys stealing stuff, or however you got them."

"Oh, well… then yeah, we did steal them," Harvey confirmed.

"Looted them fair and square," Lars said as he reached into one of the bags and started pulling stuff out. "Like, there was this one pet store that recently went out of business and we got a lot of stuff from it for you, including some toys."

Loona looked curious and even excited… but her enthusiasm died when she saw what Lars had. She saw a squeaker toy, chew-able bones, kibble, a leash and collar…

"You guys do know that I'm not just a dog, right?" Loona asked them.

"Oh…" Lars and Harvey said, while Blitz gave them an annoyed look.

"I can't believe this… you two, go back out there and bring some real toys for her," Blitz told them. "Get her something little kids like. Coloring books, puzzles, mega-blocks, and some shit!"

"Okay, okay, we know where to get some," Harvey said as he and Lars put their bags down and started to leave. "But can we have some toast for the road?"

A few days later, Blitz and Loona were in their apartment. Loona was at the table, boredly staring at a puzzle she had barely started. Blitz was restocking the fridge.

"So why do we have to stay in your apartment again?" she asked him and not the first time. There was some restlessness in her voice.

"We're under lockdown, hon," Blitz explained to her. "The outside world isn't safe for us right now, but don't worry, Lars and Harvey will continue to bring us supplies from the outside world so we don't have to get them for ourselves."

"Oh, goodie," Loona said sarcastically while leaning back in her chair, looking up at the ceiling, and huffing. Blitz heard this and turned around to look at her.

"What's wrong?" Blitz asked. "You have your puzzle, don't you?"

"I don't like puzzles," Loona said.

"Well… then we'll just have to find other ways to entertain ourselves," Blitz suggested.

"Okay, like what?" Loona asked him.

Blitz paused. "Hmm… well, we can play Twenty Questions, watch TV, watch a movie, play the floor is lava…" he listed off.

"How do you play the Floor is Lava?" she asked him. "I mean, we don't have any lava."

"We play it with our imagination, kiddo," Blitz said as he closed the fridge and jumped onto the kitchen counter, surprising Loona.

"What are you doing, Blitz?" Loona asked Blitz as she looked at him like he was crazy.

"Just imagine the floor of our apartment is lava, and all the other objects are lava-proof rocks. If we touch the floor, we become fossilized!"

"But isn't lava kinda like a pool of water for us?" Loona pointed out. "We're demons, after all."

"Regular lava and flames, yes. But Hell's lava is another story," Blitz pointed out.

"Oh… then I don't want to fall in the lava!" Loona shouted as she jumped out of her chair and onto the table, knocking some of the puzzle pieces onto the ground. She smiled as she ran across the table and jumped toward the counter. "Catch me!"

Blitz gasped, but managed to catch Loona, who climbed onto his back.

"Don't worry, Loony, I'll get us to safety!" Blitz declared as he jumped from the counter to a nearby chair. The two began to navigate their now lava-filled apartment, knocking a few things over in the process, but still having fun nonetheless.

Throughout the lockdown, Blitz and Loona found ways to pass the time by playing different games with each other. One of those games was Hell's version of Guess Who.

"Do you wear a hat?" Blitz asked her.

"No," Loona replied as Blitz flipped down a few pictures. "Do you have a beak?"

"Yes," Blitz responded as Loona flipped down some pictures. "Now I'm gonna guess… are you Zeezi?"

Loona giggled. "Nope," she said. "Are you… Vassago?"

"Dang it," Blitz said while holding his card up. "Who were you then?"

"I'm Princess Charlotte," she said, holding her card up.

Loona hummed while watching Blitz pretending to be something. He was holding an imaginary sword while saying 'yarrgh' a lot.

"Yarrgh, yo-ho!" Blitz cried out.

"I don't think you're supposed to talk during charades," Loona pointed out to Blitz.

"Well, I'm making up the rules and I say I can," Blitz insisted. "Now try to guess who I am."

"Um… a swordsman?" she guessed.

"Close," he responded as Loona thought of one answer.

"You must be… a musketeer!" she pointed out, much to Blitz's dismay.

"No, I'm a pirate, kid," Blitz responded. "What kind of musketeer goes 'yarrgh'?"

"I've heard of a pirate, but never seen one," she explained, causing Blitz to stifle a laugh.

"So you've seen a musketeer before, but not a pirate?" he asked Loona in disbelief.

During the lockdown, Lars and Harvey showed up from time to time, usually just to drop off supplies. But it wasn't long before they got in on the fun as well, especially when Loona got more used to them.

During one of their visits, Blitz drew a picture on a large board while Loona, Lars, and Harvey tried to guess what he was drawing.

"It's a camel!" Lars pointed out.

"No, it's supposed to be one of those small dinosaur lizards with the flappy, umbrella neck frills," Harvey said. "Like from that dinosaur movie."

"You mean what the humans believed a Dilophosaurus looked like?" Loona asked. "Besides, you guys got it wrong, it's a horse."

"Bingo!" Blitz shouted as he pointed to Loona, his poorly-drawn horse being on the board. "Loona, you get a point!"

"Yes!" she cheered for herself.

"Man, of course it was a horse," Harvey said as he rolled his eyes.

Lil' Loona began to warm up to Lars and Harvey with each of their visits. At one point the four of them even played indoor hockey together after clearing out the living room.

"Alright, she's about to hit the goal," Blitz commentated while Loona held a hockey stick on the puck, Lars in front of her. The two slid around the floor before Loona hit the puck toward Harvey's goal. "She shoots, and-!" Harvey tried to block it, but the puck went through the makeshift goal. "She scores!"

"Hooray!" Loona cheered.

"Keep it up, and you'll be in the big leagues, kid," Harvey said.

"Wow, you think so?" Loona asked, feeling happy from the compliment.

"Yeah, you got good aim, kid," Lars said, making Loona smile.

On their next visit, Blitz, Lars, and Harvey were all on the couch watching wrestling together. A typical guys night.

"Come on! Get'em, Toothache!" Lars cheered for the tooth-headed demon wrestling a raptor demon with bladed arms.

"What's happening right now?" Loona asked, coming back into the living room after her bathroom break.

"Well, it looked like V-Blader had Toothache in his grip, but Toothache made a surprising comeback," Harvey explained.

"Oh no! Get him, Blader!" Loona cheered for Blader as she hopped onto the couch next to Blitz, managing to steal some of the popcorn he was eating.

"Huh, who knew you guys would get her into wrestling?" Blitz asked as he ate his popcorn.

On another day, when it was just Blitz and Loona, Blitz brought out a box of bootleg DVDs.

"Okay, here are those bootleg DVDs I was talking about," Blitz said as he placed the box down.

"Why did Lars and Harvey have this?" Loona asked, curiously looking into the box.

"It's a side hustle," Blitz explained. "Me, Lars, and Harvey have a mortal media business." He held up some of the DVDs from a box "There's a lot of market for these things, especially for Sinners who want to be reminded of the things they loved from life or just want to keep up with the times. And honestly, the mortal realms are the best place to get films that aren't related to porn or snuff."

"What kind of movies did you get?" Loona asked while Blitz looked through the box.

"Let's see… we got Shrek, some Blues Clues, CatDog, some old classic cartoons we can watch-oh, what's this?" he asked as he pulled out a DVD with a black domino mask-wearing cowboy and a Native American on the front cover. "Ooh, this isn't a bootleg. This is the real deal. The Lone Ranger. Licensed collector's edition. Man, I've been asking them to find me one of those for a while now."

"What's the Lone Ranger?" Loona asked him.

"Why only the most heroic Texas Ranger there is," Blitz declared. "He's a masked, horse-riding lawman who fights for justice with his trusty steed Silver and his Indian partner, Tonto. Starring Clayton Moore as the titular Lone Ranger. This guy is awesome."

"Oooh, can we watch it?" Loona asked him, her curiosity sparked.

Blitz smiled. "Now that's a good suggestion."

Sometime later, Lars and Harvey showed up, bringing in some packages. As they used their key to get in, they overheard a commotion.

"Hi-ho, Silver!" Loona declared while wearing a black domino mask and a cowboy hat. She was riding on a stick with a fake horse head at the end (don't ask why Blitz already had that fake horse head, you don't want to know). "Come on, Tonto! Let's get those outlaws!"

"Oh it, Kemo Sa… be," Blitz, while dressed as Tonto, said, pausing when he realized that Lars and Harvey were there and could see him in his Native American get-up. "Hi fellas."

"Uh… what's all this, Blitz?" Harvey asked him.

"Oh me and Loony were watching Lone Ranger, and then we ended up playing," Blitz said.

The two gave him a look before Lars spoke up. "What you're wearing might be racist…"

After they finished playing, Loona left the living room so that Blitz could talk to Lars and Harvey. However, Loona remembered that she had forgotten her hat and as she went back for it, she overheard the men talking.

"So how long is this going to go on for, Blitz?" Harvey asked him. "I mean, it's been so long since you've done a job with us. Sure, you tried to cheat us out during the last one… but we still miss you out there."

"Look, I know it's been a while, guys, but you know I can't leave Loona alone," Blitz told them. "Do you think I like being in this apartment 24/7? If it wasn't for you guys bringing us stuff, I don't know how we would manage. And I can't thank you guys enough for all your help."

"And we're happy to help, but… for how long?" Lars asked him.

"Yeah, there's gotta be an endgame for this," Harvey said.

"There's… not," Blitz admitted.

"What?" Lars and Harvey asked at the same time.

Blitz looked down and sighed. "When I brought Loona here, I honestly had no end goal in mind. I just knew that I couldn't leave her behind, and… I have no idea what I'm going to do with her," he said as he looked down at his coffee. "I mean, I thought it was going to be temporary, but I can't think of another solution. It's not like I can leave her at an orphanage or a pound. That would just lead to Cruella to find her again. And I also don't know how much longer Loona and I can go like this. She eats a lot and is getting restless about the lockdown. Honestly, she's not the only one. If we stay in lockdown for too long, I think I might go crazy."

"Is that something to be concerned about?" Lars asked.

"No, no, I think I'll be fine," Blitz said, shaking his head. "But look, I like the kid, I do. And I want to help her, I promised her that I would. But thanks to her staying with me, things have just become so much more… complicated, since now I have to take care of myself and her and I underestimated what that would actually entail."

"Well… I'm surprised to hear that from you," Harvey admitted. "We were starting to think that you were becoming attached and was going to adopt her yourself."

"Yeah, like a real daddy," Lars added.

"No, absolutely not," Blitz shut them down, his voice stern. "Look, I'm not cut out for the task of being a dad. The last thing I want is to potentially hurt the kid by passing down the trauma I got from my dad onto her. No, Loona is only staying until I can find something better for her. She deserves a lot more than what I can provide for her."

"Well… we can check with some of our connections," Harvey told him. "We might be able to find someone to help through them."

"That sounds great, thanks guys," Blitz replied. "Honestly, I don't know how I would have been able to do this without you two…"

After overhearing the conversation, Loona looked down with a hurt expression. Quietly, she walked back to her room while keeping her head down.

Later, Blitz was reading the newspaper as Loona walked into the living room.

"Hey Blitz," Loona said to him, earning his attention.

"Hey, little buttercup," Blitz replied without looking up from his paper. "Anything you need?"

"Actually, I wish to go out," she requested, much to Blitz's shock.

"G-Go out?!" Blitz asked in surprise as he tossed the paper aside. "I don't know Loony, it's kind of a bad idea since we're on lockdown."

"But I'm tired of being cooped up in the apartment all the time and I want to go somewhere," Loona complained in a begging tone. "Pweeeeaaze can we go out?"

"I'm sorry, Loona, but no," Blitz told her in a firm tone.

Loona's eyes turned big. "Pweeeeeeeeaaaaaaze?"

"No…" he responded, trying to resist her stare.

"Pwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-" Lil" Loona kept saying while giving him the puppy eyes.

Blitz tried to resist her begging, but seeing her eyes so wide made him weak and he could feel those adorable puppy eyes lowering his resistance.

"Okay, okay, we'll go out," Blitz told her, surrendering to her cuteness.

"Woo-hoo!" Loona cheered.

"So where do you want to go?" Blitz asked her.

"Honestly, I want to go grocery shopping," she said. "I think we should pick out our own meals instead of relying on Lars and Harvey for all of our food. Some of the stuff they bring us is really weird."

"Yeah, you do have a point," Blitz agreed, thinking about how Lars and Harvey could be hit-or-miss at times. "But if we're going out, we'll need to put on some disguises so we won't be recognized, okay?"

"Okay!" Loona agreed, her tail wagging.

Later, at the grocery store, Blitz and Loona were wearing their disguises as they picked out food and put it in the cart. Blitz was rolling the cart while Loona picked out stuff and tossed it in, running back and forth to get everything she wanted.

"Is that about everything?" he asked her while dressed with a large fake mustache, a sombrero, and an overcoat.

"Yep," Loona confirmed while wearing a curly wig, a flat blue hat, and dress.

Blitz then moved the cart into a line with the other grocers. He looked at the stuff they had, then checked his wallet, worried that he might not have enough.

"I don't know, Loony, I think we may have exceeded our budget," Blitz told her.

"You're right on that," Loona replied before she formed a smile. "But I have an idea…"

Shortly after that, Lil' Loona brought out a CD player and pressed play. This caught the attention of the staff and the other grocers, who saw Lil' Loona dancing and singing.

"Oooh, I want a hippopotamus for Sinmas! Only a hippopotamus will do!" she sang while skipping around and dancing, using her cuteness to her advantage.

"Aw, she's so adorable," said one staff member.

"Yeah, reminds me of my little sister before they got her," another replied while his co-worker looked at him.

"Wait, what the hell do you mean by that?" he asked, neither of them seeing Blitz getting away with the groceries. All of them were too distracted by Lil' Loona.

After finishing with her distraction, Loona met up with Blitz around the back. The two loaded their groceries into the van.

"Gotta say, that was a great idea you had, kid," Blitz told her. "Didn't think you had that in you."

"Well, I'm not just an adorable little pup," she replied. "In fact, I think I could be helpful to you and the guys."

"Helpful?" Blitz asked her.

"Yeah, I can use my small size to get into places you guys can't, be your lookout, or be a distraction for when you steal stuff," she suggested.

"You know what? I'll consider that," Blitz said, smiling at Loona. "But you might be onto something, kid."

Soon, Loona joined in on Blitz, Lars and Harvey's heists.

On one of the heists, the three imps hid behind a wall of a store while Loona had gone through a small window that only she could fit in. Once inside, she pushed the exit door open.

"The store is open, boys," Loona told them, letting them in.

"Way to go, Loona!" Lars commented.

"No problem, guys," Loona replied with a smile as Blitz gave her a bag.

"Steal whatever you like," he encouraged her as the gang started to loot the store.

At another store, the guys were bringing out some boxes to be placed in a cargo truck they had 'rented' out. Loona was on lookout when she noticed the store owner coming back from his lunch break.

"Awwooooooooo!" Loona howled, which signaled to the guys that they had to get out of here.

"Get as much as you can," Blitz said while Loona hurried down from her position. "Get in, get in, get in!"

Once they were all in the truck, they drove through the alley way and onto the street. "Did I do good?" Loona asked.

"You did great, Loona," Blitz replied.

"And these will do great when we sell them in the Doomsday District," Harvey told her.

Another hit involved a parakeet Goetian woman who came out of her limo and saw Loona walking up to her.

"Excuse me, ma'am," Loona said innocently while looking at her. "But how do you get so pretty?"

"Oh my gosh, I've never been complimented by a lower commoner before," she said in a surprised tone. "And you're definitely cute, but if you wish to be pretty like me, here are some tips…"

As she talked to Loona, she was unknowingly being robbed by Blitz and his boys, taking the wheels first while the chauffeur was tied up. The prim-goetia teenager was so distracted by explaining beauty tips to Loona that she didn't realize she was being conned.

After yet another heist, Blitz and Loona decided to celebrate at an ice cream parlor.

"I gotta say, Loony, I had my doubts, you've really been a big help to our heists," Blitz complimented while he and Loona had strawberry ice cream. "Lars and Harvey are also grateful for the help you've given. You're a natural criminal."

"Well… why not show me the ropes, then?" Loona suggested. "Let me work with you guys as a full-time member of your crew. You can teach me everything you know. Who knows? Maybe we can rule the streets of Hell together."

"Wow, that's thinking big, kid," Blitz said with an amused smile.

"Hey, what do ya say?" Loona asked him hopefully. "Can I be a part of your crew?"

Blitz looked at Loona, considering his options. "Well… I guess it wouldn't…" But before he could finish making a decision, he saw someone entering the parlor behind Loona. Someone in a hood. His eyes widened in alarm when he saw that someone pulling out a gun. "Loona, get down!" he shouted as he pulled out his gun while Loona immediately ducked down.

She screamed when the sound of gunshots. Everyone else screamed as they ducked down, the gunman shooting at Blitz, who shot at him back while pushing the table up to shield him and Loona from the bullets. The patrons and employees hid behind whatever cover was available while some managed to escape.

"What do you want, fucker?!" Blitz demanded as he shot at the hitman.

"Give me the pup!" the hooded hitman demanded as he reloaded his gun. His hood was hiding his face, with only his glowing teal eyes showing.

"Why do you need Loona for-" Blitz then realized what he meant and Loona realized as well, much to their mutual horror.

"Shit!" they both cried out.

"Give me the pup, and I might spare you one horn," the hitman said while aiming at the table.

Blitz sweated as he looked down at Loona, who was terrified. Blitz took a deep breath. "Loona, once I make the jump, you run."

"What? But I don't want to leave you-"

"Listen kid, you need to get out and run!" Blitz told her as he pulled out his knife. "I'll keep him busy, just run! Do you understand?!"

Loona looked up at Blitz before she hesitantly nodded. "O-Okay…"

Blitz gave her a nod before he turned and fired more shots at the hitman, forcing the hitman to duck behind his cover before Blitz jumped out. "Come at me, motherfucker!" he shouted, shooting and slashing his knife at the hitman, whose eyes reacted in surprise at the imp pouncing on him.

This gave Loona a chance to run for the exit, escaping while the chaos continued in the parlor behind her. She ran out onto streets of Pride… and just continued to run, wanting to get as far away from that hitman as possible. She ran mindlessly and frantically, bumping into some people as she rushed past them.

"Hey, watch it, kid!" one called out to her.

Loona didn't respond, she just kept running. She didn't know for long or for how long, she just didn't stop until she was at the side of a street. She looked around, realizing she had no idea where she was. She didn't know where the van was or where the parlor was. She was too scared and overwhelmed to think straight, the sound of the gunshots still fresh in her head. She tried to catch her breath while shivering in fear, her heart racing. She began to think about how she had no idea if Blitz was alive or dead or if that hooded hitman was still coming after her or not.

And that got her to break down into tears. "B-Blitz… I'm sorry…" the scared little Loona cried while falling down onto the street. She did not realize that an upcoming car was coming towards her and the driver didn't see Loona as they were driving towards her.

But with a quick swoop, Loona was grabbed out of the street just before she was hit by the car. The hellpup was shocked by this and she looked to see that her savior… was Blitz.

"Loona! Are you alright?!" he asked her as Loona just embraced him. Blitz embraced her back while feeling Loona cry into him.

"I… I thought you were… I was so scared!" she cried as Blitz comforted her.

"I was scared too, kid," he admitted, patting her back while holding back his tears. "Not for myself, but for you," he said as he took her away from the street, into an alleyway.

"Did you take that guy out?" she asked him.

"That hooded hitman? Unfortunately, no," he responded. "We're gonna have to move, since he's still around. I only made sure he doesn't follow us."

Loona was still in Blitz's arms while he carried her to safety. She looked up at him. "I don't want to be alone like that again," she said with a slight whimper.

"Don't worry, you won't be," Blitz reassured her.

"Even though you wanted to get rid of me?" she asked him.

"W-what?" he asked in confusion while looking down at her. "What do you mean by that?"

"I overheard that conversation you had with Lars and Harvey," she told him. "You said that me staying with you was only temporary and that I made your life more complicated, so I thought that if I prove to you that I could be useful and help out with your heists… you would be able to keep me."

Blitz was shocked to hear this. "So you wanted to earn your keep?" he asked, Loona nodding. "Oh my… oh Loona, you don't have to do all of that. I'm fine with taking care of you."

"Then I want to stay with you," she told him.

Blitz looked awkward at this. "That's sweet and all, kid, but… I don't think that I'm cut out to do this in the long term."

"Is it because you're scared that you'll end up like your dad?" she asked him.

Blitz sighed. "You overheard that part too, huh?" he asked, a little embarrassed. "Well, that is part of it."

"What can you tell me about him?" Loona asked him.

Blitz looked down. "The thing is, he wasn't… the best dad. He treated me more like one of his employees and he wasn't the best boss either. He didn't care about me unless I earned his love, emphasis on 'earned', since whenever I wasn't working at the circus-"

"You worked at the circus?" Loona asked, curious.

"Yeah, I did," Blitz admitted, silent for a moment before he remembered what he was saying. "Anyway, when I wasn't working at the circus, he would use me for his schemes, like stealing shit from the rich or conning our customers…" He then paused in horror and looked down at Loona. "And I used you for my schemes… just like my dad did for me. Fuck."

"Hey, I gave you the idea," Loona pointed out.

"But there's not that much of a difference," Blitz admitted. "You wanted to help because you thought it would convince me to keep you. I went along with my dad's schemes as a boy because I thought it would help out my family and earn my father's approval and love." He gave a sigh. "My father's love was always conditional, and I don't want you to believe the same thing with me, that I'll stop caring about you if you don't help me make money somehow."

Loona nodded before she looked up at Blitz. "Do you still plan on finding me someone else to stay with?"

"Honestly kid, I don't know," Blitz admitted. "I wasn't thinking about how long this would last when I saved you and I've never taken care of someone as young as you before. I can barely take care of myself. You saw what my apartment was like when I brought you there. I have no idea why you would want to stay with me instead of someone else…"

Loona was quiet for a moment. "Well… the reason I want to stay with you is because you risked your life to save me and you're going out of your way to take care of me. That's more than most people have ever done for me. And that's why I don't want to leave you. And I really like living with you."

He looked down at Loona with a heartfelt expression. It did… feel good. To have someone who needed him, who wanted him. He had never seen someone look at him the way she did. "You know… maybe we can work something out," he suggested. "Cause you need someone to take care of you… and maybe that could be me."

Loona smiled and hugged Blitz. "Thanks, Blitz."

"No problem, kid," he replied, patting her back. "And don't worry, we'll figure something out. But until we do, we'll have to help each other out… and maybe we'll have to keep helping each other out even then. Because I'm still new at this."

"Don't worry, I promise not to take advantage of you too much," Loona said with a smile as Blitz put her down and the two walked together, her little hand in his.

Back in the present, Loona had finished up explaining her story to Amaroq.

"So what happens next?" Amaroq asked, absorbing the story while painting.

"Well, Blitz eventually got the idea to turn to Stolas for help," Loona recounted. "Thankfully, Stolas shut down Cruella's operations and helped to give me and dad a chance to start a new life together in Greed. But even then, it still wasn't easy. It took time for Blitz to learn to be a dad and it took even longer for me to start calling him dad…" She looked down, remembering how difficult that had been for her, considering what her biological dad had been like. But she definitely didn't want to talk about that. "We had to help each other out, but everything worked out in the end." She turned to Amaroq and gave her a reassuring smile. "And I promise you that things will work out for you as well. But like with me and Blitz, you and I have to help each other out."

Amaroq looked at Loona and smiled. "Yeah, we can do that," she said.

Outside the farmhouse, Blitz watched Loona and Amaroq painting together. He smiled while Carrie came over to him.

"What are you smilin' about?" she asked him.

"Oh, I'm just proud of Loona," he responded. "Honestly, seeing her and Amaroq together does kinda remind me of Loona and I, back when I first found her."

"Really?" she asked him. "Well, now I'm curious as a rattlesnake towards a boot. Care to tell me more about that?"

"Well, since you asked," Blitz said. "When I first found Loona, at first I was breaking into this rich lady's house. But that rich lady was Cruella De Ville."

"The Cruella?" she asked and he nodded, causing Carrie to shudder. "Even down in Wrath, we've heard stories about her. That poor girl…"

"Yeah, once I realized what was going on, I saved her from that mad Sinner," he said. "After that, we went into hiding for a few weeks. I had no idea how long I would end up keeping Loona for back then, but I'm definitely happier for it."

"And it sounds like she's quite lucky to have you, then," Carrie responded. "But what was the hardest part of those early days?"

Blitz sighed. "Well, it was just like I feared. Cruella did send someone after Loona. It was terrifying for both of us and afterwards I became desperate." He then gave a frown as he looked down and started to remember something…

It was night in the Pride Ring.

Blitz pulled the van over in front of a closed off vehicle lot. Inside the van were Lars, Harvey, and a sleeping Loona.

"Alright, Lars, you stay here and keep an eye out for Loona while looking out for anyone and anything suspicious," Blitz instructed him.

"Got it, Blitz," Lars confirmed as Blitz and Harvey got out.

The two managed to climb over the fence of the lot. Once they were on the other side, they brought out their flashlights. They began to look around the lot, seeing vehicles covered up in tarps.

"Are you sure about coming here, Blitz?" Harvey whispered while looking around. "Places like this creep me out."

"Trust me, I don't like being here anymore than you do, Harv," Blitz admitted while shining his flashlight onto the side of a vehicle that was only partially covered in a tarp, allowing Blitz to read the large letters on the side of the truck…

'BUCKZO FAMILY CIRCUS.'

"Actually, I like being here even less than you do," Blitz muttered before they heard the cocking noise of a gunshot. He turned around and saw the silhouette of someone aiming a shotgun at Harvey, who had his hands up.

"Don't move a muscle, you squatters!" shouted a high-pitched voice.

"Blitz…" Harvey said nervously.

"Hey, relax, we're not squatters!" Blitz quickly told the shotgun holder.

"Wait… I know that voice," the shotgun holder said. "Blitzo?! The fuck are you doing here?!" he demanded as Blitz used his flashlight to reveal the face of someone who Blitz knew unfortunately knew all too well.

"Glad to see you too… dad," Blitz groaned while looking at the elderly imp man who looked similar to Blitz in appearance. But his horns were more triangular than Blitz's and they stretched out to resemble sideburns. He also sported a heart-shaped skull marking on his head. His eyes had bags under them, his fingers were thicker and black like Barbie's, his tail was mostly black and he had a small white goatee that rested under his chin. He sported a white Juliet sleeve high collar dress shirt with a large rose taupe and faded pink vertical stripes below the collar, charcoal gray pants with a lighter gray stain near the bottom of the left leg and a rose taupe square patch, and tall black boots which his pants were tucked into.

"It's Cash to you, Blitzo," Cash sneered at his son, lowering his gun down. "And you know I'm never happy to see you, especially since you only show up when you need something from me."

Blitz sighed. "Okay, look, I ran into a little trouble…"

"Of course you did," Cash said, rolling his eyes. He gestured to Harvey. "I see you're still hanging out with those morons. Where's the tall one? If you're trying to rob me to pay off someone you owe souls to, I swear to Satan-"

"I had to save a kid, alright?" Blitz told him. "Her name is Loona, she's a hellhound that was almost a victim of that psycho Sinner, Cruella, who actually skins hellhounds as young as Loona. Right now, I'm not sure if the apartment is safe at the moment, so I was hoping that Loona and I could hide out here in one of your old circus trucks."

"Yeah… fuck no," Cash said, immediately shutting him down. "I don't want to get involved in whatever shit you have gotten yourself into with a some fucked up Sinner bitch. I want you and the short trucker out of here before you attract unwanted attention or damage any of the equipment."

"Come on, you're not even using this stuff," Blitz pointed out. "The circus was shut down years ago. I don't even know why you're still holding onto it."

"Because I'm gonna need it when I open up my Fizzarolli museum," Cash declared.

"…Fizzarolli museum?" Blitz asked in disbelief.

"Yeah! I'm betting that there are a lot of Hellborns who will pay big money to learn about Fizz's origins and where he comes from once Fizzarolli makes it big with Mammon, which I know he will! And when he does, Mammon is not going to be the only greedy son of a bitch to capitalize off his success!"

"Wow, that's an interesting scheme, ain't it Blitz… oooh…" Harvey was silent when he saw that Blitz looked annoyed at his father, both for having more faith in Fizz than him and for trying to profit from Fizz even after everything that happened.

"I mean, I have to make a living somehow," Cash said as he pointed at Blitz. "Which you wouldn't know about, since you have been doing nothing with your life besides committing petty crimes with your two friends." He waved his hand off at that. "I mean, you did have something good going on at one point, but then you had to ruin it by burning down our tent, injuring Fizz, and killing your mother-"

"That was an accident!" Blitz angrily pointed out, standing up to his father.

Cash gave him a glare. "Even if it was, you still ruined everyone else's lives that night," he reminded him. "Fizz is better off without you now, and so am I. Which is why I want you off of my property now!"

"Look, you can hate me all you want, but Loona is just a kid that needs help," Blitz told him.

"I don't care," Cash said plainly. "Besides, you're probably just going to ruin her life as well."

This angered Blitz even more, causing him to rush over to Cash, knock the shotgun out of his father's hands, and grab him. However, Cash looked unfazed by this, even as he was seeing his son growling intensely at him. "Are you really going to put another family member in the grave?" he hissed at him.

Blitz was still angry, but he just tossed Cash to the ground. "You know something, Cash? You were always a shitty father!" he ranted "I'm not surprised that you don't care, because you never cared. It was always about the money with you. You didn't care about me, or Barb, or Fizz, or even mom!"

"Hey! You shut your dick hole about my wife!" Cash told him off. "Everything that I did was to help this family! Especially when your mother got sick! I had to make sure that everyone did their part, like when I got you to steal stuff from that Goetia kid's house! Remember how much we were able to buy because of that?"

"Oh, don't you pretend you were being selfless or looking out for my best interests," Blitz called him out. "You were just being a selfish prick who manipulated and used your own son. A child… all you did was hurt everyone around you."

Cash was once again unfazed by this. "Well, that only means we're not so different, you and me."

But Blitz just looked at him coldly. "I am never going to be like you," he told him while turning around. "Come on, Harv. We've wasted our time here."

Harvey followed Blitz as they walked away from Cash, who watched them leave. They walked back to the fence and were about to climb over, but Harvey noticed a shadow.

"Blitz…" Harvey spoke up.

"What is-?" Blitz asked as he turned and saw the same hooded hitman from before. "Shit!" he shouted, pulling out his gun and shooting at the hitman. "You again!"

"This time, I won't fail," the hooded hitman declared as he brought out his guns and shot at the two.

Blitz and Harvey ran back through the lot, pulling out their own guns and firing back at the hitman. The two hid behind some of the vehicles as they shot at the hitman, seeing him swiftly dodging the bullets while shooting back at them with two of his guns, forcing Blitz and Harvey to duck down.

"Do you really want to go through all of this just for Loona?" Blitz called out to the hitman.

"I have a contract to fulfill," he declared. "And I will fulfill that contract by any means necessary," he declared while jumping down, stepping on a piece of metal, and kicking it towards Harvey.

"Oh shi-!" Harvey shouted as he was hit by the large piece of metal.

"Harv!" Blitz shouted as he glared at the hitman. "Alright, Hoody, it's on!" he declared while firing at the hitman.

Hoody dodged the bullets while grabbing a car door to shield himself with. He threw the car door at Blitz, who jumped up and shot more bullets at the hitman. Hoody swiftly dodged the bullets while returning fire at Blitz, who jumped for cover to avoid the shots. Blitz threw a knife at him, but Hoody managed to grab the knife out of the air, surprising Blitz. Whoever this guy was, he was fast. Blitz wondered if he was some kind of skilled Hellborn or some kind of Sinner. Either way, he couldn't tell who he was under his hoodie.

Blitz then saw Hoody jump towards him with the knife. Blitz tried to shoot at him, but Hoody kicked the gun away from him and used Blitz's own knife to stab him in the shoulder, pinning him to the side of a truck. "Gah!"

"Nothing personal," Hoody told him while picking up Blitz's gun and pointing it at his head. "But you won't remember me…" he declared as he was about to pull the trigger.

BANG!

Blitz shut his eyes in anticipation. But much to his surprise, he felt no pain. When he opened his eyes, he saw Hoody letting go of Blitz after getting shot by the arm. Hoody turned to see who shot him, only to be blasted through the head. Hoody fell down to the ground, a hole where his face once was.

Blitz turned to see who had saved him. Much to his surprise, it was Cash.

"Dad…" Blitz said as he looked at his father, who had an unfazed expression.

"Just grab your buddy and get the hell out of here," Cash told him off. "And never come back, since you've brought enough trouble to me as it is."

Blitz looked at his father before giving a sigh. "Yeah," he said as he went to grab Harvey.

Soon, Blitz and Harvey returned to the van with Lars and Loona, who was still asleep, still inside. They drove away from the lot while talking about what to do next.

"Well, since your dad was a bust, what are we going to do now?" Harvey asked.

"Yeah, what now?" Lars replied.

Blitz sighed. "I should have known that my dad wouldn't be of any help-" he said as he thought about his father's words…

"I got you to steal stuff from that Goetia kid's house!"

Remembering something, an idea popped into Blitz's head. "Huh. Guys, I think my dad was good for something after all," he said while looking down at Loona, who was still peacefully sleeping away. He smiled, hoping that this would be the plan to help her out.

Back in the present, Blitz had finished his story.

"Well, it sounds like everything worked out in the end," Carrie told him.

"Yeah, it did," Blitz agreed. "And I hope that things will work out for Amaroq as well."

Soon, Loona and Amaroq walked over to them. "Hey, we finished painting up the barn," Loona said as she pointed to the side of the barn.

"Yeah, and I'm sorry for the previous paint job, Carrie," Amaroq told the farm girl before turning to Blitz. "And I'm sorry for almost running you over, Mr. Blitz."

"Eh, don't worry about it," Blitz said. "As long as you don't ever intentionally try to run me over, we're good."

"Yeah, all is forgiven, sug," Carrie said. "Why don't we all go inside for lunch?"

"Yeah, you girls could use a break," Blitz agreed.

Later that day, everyone was inside and in the living room, watching the Lone Ranger on the television.

"Alright! Get him, Lone Ranger!" Amaroq cheered.

"Oh, this is the best part," Loona said as they watched. "Good call, bringing your Lone Ranger DVDs, dad."

Blitz smiled as he watched along, glad to see Amaroq enjoying the Lone Ranger as much as Loona did. Carrie was also watching with them.

"Gotta admit, humans know how to make a good Western," Carrie commented. "I wonder if they'll ever make a movie out of this."

"Who knows? But if they did, I'm sure it'd be the best movie ever," Blitz declared as they watched the Lone Ranger together.

Just like in the old days.

Back up in Pride, in the lot that Blitz and Harvey had broken into all those years ago, a large tent was now set up. But it was not for a circus… but a museum.

"Step right up, folks, and come and see the Museum of the Great Fizzarolli!" Cash declared while dressed in a green outfit with white stripes, a green top hat, and purple pants with black boots. He twirled his cane as he led the guests in. "Come in and see where it all began, folks! How I, Cash Buckzo, personally mentored the best clown of Hell! Fizzarolli was the son I wish I had!"

"Really? You knew the great Fizzarolli?" one imp kid asked in awe.

"You know it, kiddo!" Cash declared as he showed the guests in.

Cash led the tour group around inside the tent, which was set up to resemble the old circus. There was a big Fizzarolli statue in the center, while all around the tent were display cases filled with photos, posters, and other mementos from Cash and Fizz's old circus days.

"See where he used to perform, see where he used to sleep! These exhibits tell not only the history of my best star of my old circus, but the history of the circus itself!" Cash declared.

"We got the clown exhibit," he said as he led them inside a tent filled with displays of clown demons. "Of course, the best clown here is Fizzarolli himself!"

"Because this is where it all began," Cash says as he led them to another exhibit, which was filled with large photos of Fizz as a baby. "Yup, he grew up in this fine circus and I helped mentor him to the person he is today! With the help from my family, of course."

"Ooh, where's your family now?" the imp kid asked.

"Eh… why don't we go to the next exhibit," Cash said as he led the group to another exhibit. "You can even get the full circus experience by dressing up and-"

"Excuse me, Mr. Cash Buckzo?" a voice asked.

"Yes, that would be me," Cash said as he turned to see someone. "Uh, go ahead, folks. I'll catch up to you shortly." He let the crowd move on as he went to talk to this newcomer. "And what can I do for you? Are you here to interview me about how I helped raise Fizzarolli?"

"Actually, I've come here on a different matter," spoke a Hellhound who was of a Siberian husky breed. He had a thick Russian accent. He was fairly built and wore a black bodysuit with red shoulder guards and a chest plate with a 'V' symbol on it. "My name is Alexei, and I wish to know more about your… son."

Well, ain't this a short chapter?

So this chapter does appear to be shorter than the rest, though it is mostly a flashback chapter. Nothing much to say but mention a few references.

Admittedly, this doesn't completely line up with a previous flashback that showed Blitz bringing Loona back to his apartment, but we wanted to expand on that bit and the past flashback was how Blitz remembered it, and it was more focused on Blitz's history with Lars and Harvey than his relationship with Loona.

We also brought in Cash Buckzo who we have thought would likely to appear in this fic. We figured that it would be funny to have him inadvertently inspire Blitz the idea of going to Stolas. Just to add a bit of context and to give a scene to show Blitz and Cash's strained relationship is like.

We can thank ultimate-drax for his OC, Alexei, who is from his fic Hazbin Titan. The thing about Alexei is that, he works for the Vees, and is getting information about our heroes.

In musical references, Blitz sings the same lullaby Mallard Drake sang to Gosallyn from Darkwing Duck. Lil' Loona also sang her own version of "I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas".

That's it for now. So after this, tune in for when we debut the new LCU spin-off, Brimstones and Broomsticks.

Review Section

OMAC001: Well, we've managed on it.

Matteso585: 1) Just because Cruella and Sonya can't exit the Pride Ring, doesn't mean they can't send those who can. Like, have you not realized Hellborn bounty hunters and hitmans exists? 2) Honestly, if this is about your theory on Moxxie meeting Millie and drops everything to meet her folks… that's not going to happen, nor is it a priority. I mean, why would Moxxie stay behind Wrath over a girl he just met, without thinking the consequences or dangers that comes with. Have you not learned anything from Frozen? 3) I know you meant "now".

EndeavorT: We don' know if we could use it.

Crash X Fusion: I think Buck has hit you up on that.

Cooki15xd: No, and Gargoyles wouldn't be canon to the LCU.

Knight: We'll see.

Spantidem7: 1) The Geneva Conventions don't apply to Heaven. 2) That doesn't make sense. 3) Roo. 5) It's intentionally ambiguous. 6) I don't know what that is. 7) Divorce didn't exist back then. 8) No spoilers.
