A/N: So here we have the first chapters kinda like a teaser... I was trying to do something like an Omegaverse-kinda-thing, but not in a society where everybody knows it exists. It's supposed to be like a mix of "packs whose infrastructure works like that because they are Alpha/Beta/Omega" and "simple humans". If that does make any sense. The idea got stuck in my head and I just wanted to try it out once.
Tell me what you think so I know if it's worth continuing or not although I find the idea of an Omegaverse rather inviting :) I planned to make it R18 if you want me to keep going and update as sporadically as I always do. I am writing on the next two chapters as I post this one, just in case. Any unfinished story of mine is permanetally on hiatus as I can't get a hold of the storyline anymore - too much time as gone by. I deeply apologize for that and hope you can enjoy anything new I post here.

Summary: Chichi, a normal living girl in her mid-twenties meets her fated partner, whom she has no interest in or does even recognize as her mate. While he's used to living in a society where your blood decides which rank you have and who you're going to breed with, Chichi does not know these societies even exist. And now here comes a male claiming to be her fated partner because she was what…an Omega? Nu-uh. Not a chance was she believing that!
[CHICHI] Never let them touch you. Ever. (1)
I nibbed on my drink while my heels bounced to the beat of the music unconsciously. There were too many people, my dress was too tight, my shoes were too high, and my hair was too loose for my taste as some strains constantly tickled my cheeks and I repeatedly had to tug them behind my ear. I hated going out. I hated those uncomfortable clothes, the stares, the whispers…I basically hated everything about being social. With a sigh in my throat, I nibbled on my straw absentmindedly.
My eyes were watching, observing the scene before me while my mood dropped by the minute. To say I was angry would have been an understatement. I was furious. A ticking time bomb and on the verge of screaming and yelling at my best friend who had kidnapped me to this stupid party for whatever reason! Not to mention that said best friend had left me alone the moment we had walked in, simping over her longtime crush who was too cool and too proud to take notice of her.
I mumbled words you shouldn't utter in public while I leaned my upper body against the bar with a glass still in my hands. I flipped my wrist and checked my watch, groaning loudly as I read the time, making a few heads turn towards me. Not that I cared. I ignored them perfectly as some had the nerve to snicker. I was used being laughed at, not that I minded though. Let those narrow-minded fools think whatever they wanted; it did not matter to me. I was a princess in my hometown and knowing that there were actually people who worshipped me was enough. What did it matter if my fellow students liked to make fun of me? I only was here to increase my wisdom, not to blend in with those idiots.
As suddenly a blue-haired person broke through the crowd with a loud "Ouf!" and smacked her hands on the counter beside me, I couldn't hold in the growl escaping my mouth.
"Chi! There you are!" Bulma grinned widely at me and ordered two shots with a flick of her wrist towards the barkeeper – who knew her. Obviously. And what she wanted to order. It took him only seconds to get her two golden tequilas, with cinnamon powder and two slices of orange. Bulma didn't hesitate to gobble one down immediately while the other got pushed towards me. I wrinkled my nose.
"I don't drink shots." I informed with a yell to out-tune the music.
"Aw, come on, Chi! Try it once, for kami's sake! And mine." Bulma winked while sticking her tongue out playfully.
I eyed the liquid suspiciously. Well, Buls was back for once after one freaking hour. So, I could cheer on that, for starters. Taking the shot I smelled it cautiously only to make Bulma shake her head and roll her eyes at that action. Without another word the blue-haired placed a decent amount of cinnamon powder on the back of my free hand – just between my thumb and index finger - and held the orange in her own.
"Lick that, gulp it down and bite into the orange." Bulma instructed as her head bounced to the beat of the music lightly. "If possible, in that order and don't take until tomorrow."
I huffed audibly through my nostrils, but the music drowned that out quite perfectly. So, I simply did as instructed, as any bitchy behavior of mine got ignored either way.
It was not as bad as I had thought but the alcohol still burned down my gullet and I had to chough a little. Bulma laughed wholeheartedly as she patted my back. "Now, that's my girl! You having fun?"
"No…" I wheezed out as a tear almost escaped my eye.
Bulma simply ordered another set of shots and I had to repeat it in unison with her. My head was swirling already.
"That stuff's running down like oil!" Bulma explained happily as she smacked the glass back down with a loud noise. "It's good to relax after all those exams!"
I snorted. Yeah, as if Bulma had struggled with them at all. She was a born genius! I wasn't that bad myself, but I simply had a talent for studying. Not that that would impress anybody. Ever. Unconsciously I rolled my eyes as I remembered how my linguistic professor had treated me before and after he had realized I was friends with THE famous Briefs child.
That only ended in me not getting the tutoring position to gain some extra money. Well, not that I really needed it but…the recognition would have been payment enough. To my utmost joy, Bulma had not taken the offered opportunity as she was indeed a very loyal friend and absolutely didn't care about tutoring.
She had other interests. And one of those was just walking towards us, with his hands in his pockets, the ever-present scowl on his face and his unusual hair standing up like flames. I muttered a "God damn it…" as I saw him and how Bulma's behavior changed from competent into giddy as soon as she spotted him as well.
I loathed that guy. He had humiliated me once in the cafeteria as I unconsciously had turned around with a coffee in my hand, only to slam right into his chest. My precious Mokka then flew in a gracious wave of liquid onto his shirt, the floor and myself. And while I was sputtering my stupid apologies, he only had yelled at me and insulted me so loudly that everybody had turned their heads. I was not used to being treated that way and although I could be rather foul-mouthed myself, if I wanted to, that situation had me rooted to the spot, unable to say anything in return. I don't remember how I got out of it, everything after that had been like a blur.
I toppled slightly to my right as Bulma slapped my shoulder with her hand nervously. "He's coming, Chi! Vegeta! He's coming right over here! Do I look okay? Is my hair still good? I don't smell do I?" Her nose wanted to dive into her armpits, but she stopped herself. "Ah, never mind! I got a wax today, I. Am. READY! Today, I will get my hands on him!"
I once again huffed at the little fighting stance the bluenette did to herself. I really didn't get why Buls was so head over heels for someone like him. He was arrogant, unfriendly, ignorant of others and their feelings, not to say unattractive (to my eyes) and ridiculously small for a man. I wrinkled my nose. No, he was absolutely not my type. I couldn't help getting upset as my friend turned all her attention towards the man once he was near us. He only greeted her by lifting his upper lip and showing his canine. Nope, it was not a smile but had a strong resemblance to a growl. Yeah, he hated being social even more then I did.
Why going to a party then?
Yeah…ask that yourself, girl…
"Dumbass…." I mumbled out loud as I shook my head and nibbled on my drink again, turning my head elsewhere. It didn't matter interfering: Once Bulma had something in her mind, there was no stopping her. I could only wait and be there for her when it all came to an end.
When I let my eyes dance through the crowd again, who was swaying wildly to the music, I suddenly spotted a pair of eyes looking straight at me. I stopped scanning and whipped my head to look beside and behind me, trying to figure out where those eyes were staring at. But there was nothing there besides…me? No, that couldn't be true…Must have been a mistake on my side then. Who would ever glance over here? For whatever reason?
I turned my head towards the pair of eyes again, only to find them ogle me still. Was it the angle or why did it seem there was indeed someone watching me? Of all people there were, why me?! My gaze dropped a little only to find a gentle smile underneath the curious eyes. My guts were tingling. What in the world was happening right now? I couldn't say if I liked it or not. I felt nervous, suddenly. Was the alcohol affecting me? I checked my cheeks and felt they were pretty warm. Instinctively I fanned myself some air. I was starting to imagine things. Certainly.
