This is my 11th chapter! Wow, I'm so proud of myself.

As normal, I don't own any credits or rights to this story.

It all goes to Phyllis Reynolds Naylor, but I own a few of characters that I've made up.

Eddie POV:

When I woke up the day after the accident, I was so sore all over. I've got bruises everywhere, it's pretty painful.

Beth walked in my room with my breakfast on a plate in her hands."Here's your breakfast, Eddie. You feeling ok?"

"Still a little sore. But other than that, I feel fine." I said, eating my eggs.

Suddenly the doorbell rang and Caroline, I guess, opened it. "Hey, guys! Yeah, she's upstairs."

Jake came into my room and sat down next to me. "Hey, you feeling better?" He asked, kissing me on my forehead.

"Yes. Just a little sore." I smiled, as I reached for my orange juice. I took a huge sip then wiped my mouth with my sleeve.

"Well, I'm just glad that nobody was seriously hurt." Jake said, smiling at me. I smiled right back at him.

"Hey, do y'all want to go to Oldaker's Bookstore? You know, since it's Saturday." Josh said.

"Ooh, yeah! Now I can get Truth or Dare by R.L. Stine! I saw it there a few days ago, but I left my wallet at home." Beth said, running to her room.

She came back with a pink Kate Spade wallet. We all walked downstairs and out the door. We just decided to walk, mainly because it isn't that far of a walk from our houses.

When we finally made it, we all walked straight inside.

"Well, look who we have here. Jake, Josh, Wally, and Peter. How are you guys doing?" Mike Oldaker, the owner of the store, said with a smile.

"Pretty good." Peter said, and walked towards the chapter books.

Jake and I went straight there the sports book section.

Beth walked to were they kept the scary books, like Stephen King and R.L. Stine.

Caroline went to the Young Adult section.

When we all left, I got a book on baseball and Jake got one on football. Peter got a Hardy Boys mystery book.

Caroline had bought If We Kiss by Rachel Vail, Bad Best Friend by Rachel Vail, Meant To Be by Lauren Morrill, Unbreak My Heart by Melissa Walker, Lovestruck Summer by Melissa Walker, and After Summer by Hailey Abbott.

Beth got So-Called Death by Stacey Jay, The Accident by Diane Hoh, Camp Fear by Carol Ellis, The Dead Boyfriend by R.L. Stine, Call Waiting by R.L. Stine, Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler, Jumping Off Swings by Jo Knowles, and Truth or Dare by R.L. Stine.

Josh and Wally left empty handed.

Jake POV:

When we went to the bookstore, I was honestly so glad that they finally had a book on football.

Beth got 9 and Caroline got 6. I don't think Wally or Josh found anything for themselves. All Peter got was just one Hardy Boys book.

When we left the bookstore, I walked Eddie back to her house. Before she walked inside, I made sure that I kissed her.

She blushed as we pulled apart, but she makes me feel so happy. I don't really know how to explain it.

"Hey, if you ever need to talk, I'm just a house away." I said, smirking at her. To which she grinned at me.

"I won't forget that." She was grinning at me and that little grin sent butterflies throughout my entire stomach.

I couldn't help it, but she makes me feel so good about myself. I really love her, but I'm not sure if she feels the same.

My brothers and I walked into our house and I went into the kitchen.

I made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and got a glass of milk. Then I sat down at the kitchen table and ate it.

My brothers walked in, with grins on their faces. "What are you guys smiling about?" I asked.

"Well, we thought of doing something. Taking Eddie, Caroline, and Beth out to the drive in tonight." Josh said.

Wally started talking next. "That way you and Eddie can get the date you wanted when you got in the accident."

I felt touched that they actually considered my feelings. "Thanks you guys. I think I will. It sounds like fun."

I grabbed my phone and called Eddie. She picked up on the first ring. "Jake? What is it?"

"Well, how would you like to go on a date to the drive in? A quadruple date with my brothers and your sisters?"

"Ooh! That sounds like so much fun! I'll go tell the girls!" Eddie said, and I could feel her grin radiating through the phone.

"No! The guys want to call them up themselves. I think Wally's kind of nervous."

"Oh. Ok. I won't say anything. Love you." Then she hung up the phone. Ok, that confirmed what I'd hoped: Eddie really does love me.

Yay!

Wally POV:

Ok, Wally, it's now or never. I picked up my phone, ready to call Caroline. To ask her out on a date.

I let go of my fears, and called her. "Hello, Wally? What's up?"

"Um, well, I wanted to know if you like to go the drive in with me?"

"Um...yes! I don't know if you know this or not, but I do like you." She giggled in the phone and I blushed.

"But what about Blake? If he gets the main character in the play opposite you, you'll have to kiss him, you know."

"Wait, what? I thought they were doing Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory?" She was probably really confused. I would be too if I didn't know what they'd done.

"They were, but someone convinced them to switch it to Romeo and Juliet."

"What?!" Caroline screeched. I had to take the phone away from my ear, it hurt my eardrum. "Who? I want names, Wallace Hatford."

"Honestly, I don't know. I feel like it was either Blake or Tracy Lee. I mean, Tracy Lee likes to kiss guys so it's possible that it was her."

"Typical Tracy Lee. Ugh, I can't stand her."

"We all know why you can't, Caroline."

"You do know why?" She asked, and I grinned.

"Of course I do. You got sick and she had to take over your character in the Buckman Town play." She giggled and it sent a ray of butterflies throughout my stomach. Oh, God. Why's she doing this to me?

10-year-old me would be so disappointed by the way I'm acting. Me, as a 14-year-old, is actually in love with Caroline Malloy.

"So, that's a yes on the drive in date?" I asked.

"Yes. It's a yes."

"Ok. We'll meet outside tonight at 5:30."

"Ok, see you then." She then hung up the phone.

I'm on the way to making Caroline Malloy my girlfriend!

Josh POV:

I need to man up. I've already dated Beth once; how's this time any different? I picked up my phone and dialed her number.

"Hello?" I heard her ask, and really considered just hanging up the phone, but then she said, "Josh? What's up?"

"Do you want to go out on a date?" There I said it. Now I regret it.

"Um...yes?! I've been waiting!" She burst out laughing. "I'm sorry, I'm know Eddie wasn't supposed to say anything to me, but she did. And my answer is yes!"

Oh, man this was way easier than I thought it'd be. If there's ever a time I'm thankful for Eddie's big mouth, it's right now.

"I was nervous about asking you; so I'm glad that Eddie told you."

"Josh! You don't have to be nervous, I'll always say yes to you!" Beth giggled and it made me smile.

"Ok. We'll meet outside our houses tonight at 7:30."

"Ok, see you then." I hung up the phone and stared at ceiling, with a big goofy grin on my face.

Then Jake walked in and he grinned at me. "Let me guess. You just asked Beth out?"

"Uh-huh." I said, and I felt like I was in a daze.

"Wally! Get in here!" Jake shouted.

Wally ran into our bedroom, knocking over a lamp in the process of doing so. "What's up?"

"We need to get ready for tonight. We each need to take a shower so let's get a move on."

We all went to separate showers. Jake went into the basement bathroom, I went into my parents bathroom, and Wally went into his bathroom.

I washed my hair and then my body. I got out, dried my hair then went to pick out my clothes.

I decided on my No Doubt concert t-shirt and my favorite pair of baggy jeans. I just combed through my hair and put on my Bears baseball cap.

I put on my black and white Converse high tops and ran down to the kitchen, to get something to drink.

I wonder how long I'd have to wait on the others to get done.

Wally POV:

As soon as I got in the shower, I made sure I washed my hair. After I washed my hair, I washed my body, then got out.

I dried my hair, then started looking for some clothes to wear. I decided on a white t-shirt and a pair of baggy army green jeans.

I put on my black and white Converse high tops. My hair was pretty messy, so I just brushed it, then put on one of Jake's baseball caps.

I think it was the one from his sixth grade year of baseball.

Then I went downstairs and saw Josh, drinking a glass of orange juice.

"Is Jake almost done?" He asked, as I walked into the kitchen.

I grinned as I opened the basement door. Loud singing drifted up to us. Josh burst out laughing. "I thought he was playing music on the radio. I didn't know that was actually him singing."

Honestly, he doesn't sound half bad. I grabbed out my phone, and hit record. I walked down the basement stairs, as quiet as I could.

"You didn't have to cut me off, make out like it never happened and that we were nothing!" Jake sang, then I pounced from behind the door. "Ahhh! Wally, you idiot! You scared me! Wait a minute! Are you recording me?!"

I cackled as I ran back upstairs. Josh and I doubled over in laughter. Oh, man. That was hilarious.

Jake POV:

As soon as I got in the shower, I washed my hair. Then I put on some music, preferably Somebody I Used To Know by Gotye ft. Kimbra.

I sang it loud and proud, as I washed the conditioner out of my hair. Then out of nowhere, a scream blew out my eardrum and I screamed.

I moved the curtain and stared into my brothers faces. "Wally, you idiot! You scared me! Wait a minute! Are you recording me?!" He was cackling as he ran up the stairs.

I got out of the shower and dried my hair. Then I put on the clothes I'd brought downstairs with me. I had picked out a white t-shirt and a pair of baggy jeans. Then I topped it off with my army green Converse high tops.

I walked upstairs, and found my brothers, still laughing at the video. "I'm glad you find it so funny."

"Oh, trust me; I do." Josh was laughing as he said this.

"Are the girls ready?"

"They said to give them 20 or 30 minutes, and then they'll be done."

"Ok, sounds good." I put on the baseball game that was playing on the tv.

Caroline POV:

When I got into the shower, I washed my body then got out. I didn't really need to wash my hair, because I washed it yesterday.

So after I got out, I put on a blue California crop top that my aunt got me for my birthday this year. Then I slid on a pair of Levi high rise shorts.

To complete my outfit, I grabbed my black and white Converse sneakers. Then I went to find a necklace. I put on my brass pink butterfly one that I bought at the mall last week.

I ran to Beth's room to see if she could help me out with putting on makeup. Before I went in her room, I put my long brown hair into a bun.

"Hey, Beth. Do you think you could help me with my makeup?"

"Yeah, sure. Just come sit down and I'll get on it in a minute." She had just finished braiding her hair. Then she started to do my makeup.

When she was done with my makeup, I looked up into the mirror at my reflection. I couldn't believe that girl staring back at me was actually me.

"Thanks, Beth!" I hugged her before walking back into my room. I sat down on my bed and started to read a book as I waited for the others to finish getting ready.

Beth POV:

I got in the shower. I had to wash my hair, because it had been a few good days since I'd washed it last.

Then I washed my body and got out. I dried my hair as quickly as possible. Then I put on my newest crop top. A pink and blue Malibu crop top. It's my favorite of all my crop tops that I have.

"Hey, Beth. Do you think you could help me with my makeup?" Caroline asked, walking into my room.

"Yeah, sure. Just come sit down and I'll get on it in a minute." I had to finish braiding my hair before I could do her makeup.

When I finished her makeup, I started to do my own makeup. Once I was done, I walked into Caroline's room and sat down next to her on the bed.

Suddenly my phone buzzed and I picked it up to see who had texted me. What I saw made me burst out laughing.

"What is it? Beth, why are you laughing?" Caroline looked concerned as she stared at me. But I couldn't stop laughing. So I just handed her my phone.

Wally had sent me a video of Jake, singing in the shower. "Oh man! I can't wait to show this to Eddie." Caroline laughed.

Eddie POV:

I got in the shower, but thankfully, I didn't have to wash my hair. I did that yesterday. So as soon as I washed my body, I got out of the shower.

I grabbed my new coral shirred blouse, along with my favorite pair of faded holey jeans. My parents recently got me a new pair of Converse. Blue ones. They're cute too.

I braided my hair into two little buns. Then I started on my makeup.

When I came out of my room, I heard Caroline and Beth, cackling like a pack of wild hyenas. I walked into Beth's room, to see them watching a video on her phone.

"What's so funny?"

"Oh! Eddie, you need to look at this!" Beth said, as she handed me the phone.

I didn't expect to see that. Jake Hatford, my boyfriend, singing in the shower. I couldn't stop laughing. "Oh geez! That's hilarious. Wally is hilarious!"

"Do you think that we should call them now? To tell them that we're ready?" Beth asked, as she took her phone back.

"Yeah. We should." I said, as she texted Josh.

Josh POV:

"Hey, guys. The girls are ready." I looked up the clock, which said, 7:29. Right on time, I thought.

We walked outside to see the girls waiting on us. We all piled into Beth's car and drove to the drive in.

"What movie do you guys want to see?" I asked, as we stocked up on popcorn, soda, and candy.

"How about Scream 2 or Saw 3?" Beth grinned.

"Definitely Scream 2." Eddie said, as she got in the backseat next to Jake.

Caroline and Wally were in the back backseat. Beth has a Toyota 4-Runner, so there's always a pullout backseat.

We got to the movie area, and rolled down our windows. We watched the movie, and it was a really good movie.

"Since the movie is over, where would you like to go eat?" Jake asked, as Beth pulled the car out of the grass.

"Ooh! How about that little diner over there? I've always wanted to try it." Caroline said.

"Sounds good to me." Beth pulled into a parking spot. We got out of the car and walked inside.

It was like a 1950's retro diner. Our waitress stepped up to our table as soon as we sat down. "What can I get you guys?"

"I'll take a cola pop and a cheeseburger with fries." Beth said, and Eddie and Caroline nodded their heads.

"What can I get you three?" She turned to us.

"We'll each have cheeseburgers with onion rings. And dr. Pepper." I said, as I handed her our menus.

"I'll have those out soon." And within a short while, we were out the door, laughing. We got in Beth's car and drove back home.

Jake POV:

When we got home, I walked Eddie to her door. "I had a good time tonight. At least we didn't get hurt."

"I did too. I love you, Jake. I really do." She said, as she placed her lips on mine. And that feeling made my heart skip a beat.

Oh man. I love Eddie Malloy. I really do. "There's no doubt that I feel the same." I said, hugging her.

"Bye. See you tomorrow." She said, as she shut the door behind her as she and her sisters walked inside.

My brothers looked dazed as we walked inside our house. Wally went into his room and Josh and I went into ours. "Gosh, Josh. Did you ever think that we'd be this crazy about the Malloy girls?"

"Me, maybe. Wally, sometimes. But you? Never."

"I get how you feel. But I can't help but feel only love for Eddie Malloy."

Eddie POV:

As my sisters and I walked in our front door, we headed straight for my bedroom.

"Can you believe us?" I questioned them.

"What?" Beth looked over at me, all confused.

"I mean, I never thought I'd feel this way about Jake Hatford. I mean, c'mon. He was once my enemy."

"Yeah, he was. But now he's your boyfriend." Caroline said, then she looked like she was going to bust. "I need to confess something."

"What is it, Caroline? Are you ok? Have you been getting bullied at school?" Beth asked, turning into mom.

"No. But I think that I might really like Wally. Like like. Like more than a friend, like."

"So tell me something new! Caroline, we could tell." I laughed.

"Wait, really?"

"Yeah. Caroline, Eddie is right. You don't hide it very well." Beth said, then we all burst out laughing.

Later that night, after everyone else had gone to sleep, I sat awake. Staring at moon from my window. Thinking about my future. My future with Jake.
