Stellar Mirror

[The scene opens with a shot of the bright blue sky as the camera pans down to the narrow gauge railway. Sir Handel and Rusty are shown passing over a crossing where Bertie is waiting, the former carrying a rake of coaches, while the latter is hauling a maintenance rain, giving each other a friendly greeting]

[We then transition to the miniature railway by Willow as Rex pushes a set of ballast hoppers onto the chute to be loaded onto Duck's train. Mike and Bert pass by the chute with the former taking a set of hoppers and the latter open coaches]

[We then transition to the city as the Powerpuff Girls are shown flying over the buildings, panning down to the street where a dress shop is on display, entitled "Solarian Gems". Lucky, Cooler, and Sassy Saddles are shown passing by the shop as we cut to the interior]

[A set of lavish and beautiful dresses are shown lined up on mannequins in the window display; a blue corset, a violet mini skirt, a red maxi dress, a green ball gown]

[We then pan across the shop to show several different dresses on display on various mannequins, such as a yellow sundress, an orange cocktail dress, a pink demi dress, a silver empire dress, an emerald jumper dress, a lavender bardot dress, and so on and so forth]

[Several costumes are shown inspecting the dresses around the shop, such as Sally, Bunnie, Lyra, Bon Bon, Lucy, Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, Hotaru, Bianca, Marian, Lady Kluck, Alice, Wendy, and Lady and her daughters; Annette, Colette, and Danielle, before it shows Stella talking to Celestia and Luna about a pair of solar and lunar themed dresses that she created]

Stella: I made sure to take the specifics into account, solar for the Princess of the Sun, and lunar for the Princess of the Moon.

Celestia: Well, I must say, they're very beautiful dresses, Miss Stella.

Luna: Quite so, perhaps we might use them for the Spring Fling.

Stella: Oh, that's great to hear, shall I cash these out for you?

Celestia: Much appreciated.

[Stella takes the Equestrian royals to the cashier where a Cindy Bear recolor, ironically enough with blue fur, takes the dresses to be sorted out and placed neatly in yellow and blue carry-on bags]

Luna: Hmmm, I would look nice in this.

Celestia: Looking to upstage me, eh?

Luna: Oh, please, I'm not that arrogant.

Celestia: Hmmhmm, indeed, sister.

[As Stella watches the two depart, she smiles to herself]

Stella: The Fairy of the Sun and Moon strikes another one.

[The scene transitions to evening as Charlie, Itchy, Lance, and Anne Marie are shown passing by the shop as the last customers leave out the door, that being Marian and Lady Kluck with shopping bags in hand. Stella waves them off]

Stella: Bye-bye, come again!

Marian: Goodbye, Miss Stella, twas a pleasure doing business with you.

Lady Kluck: Aye, ya're a real class act with yer craft.

[And with that, Stella officially closes up the shop for the day as she stretches her arms out]

Stella: [sighs] Another successful day of business…

[Cut to the exterior of the shop as a silhouetted woman passes by. Unbeknownst to Stella, she briefly watches the blonde woman before slipping back into the darkness]

[The scene cuts to Stella having taken a shower as she comes out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her, the sound of "Barbie Girl" playing in the background as she hums to the tune]

Stella: Hmmhmmhmm, you can brush ma' hair, undress me everywhere…

[Stella picks up said amenity to brush her hair as she focuses in the mirror]

Stella: Haaaaaa, it's truly a lot of work to get this beautiful. Not to mention running a boutique on top of it. Nevertheless, I've preserved on…

[The scene cuts to Stella exiting her bathroom and heading towards the bedroom to put her pajamas on. As she does so, she thinks aloud to herself]

Stella: Haaaaaaa…selling to royalty, that's gotta be my best sale this week…speaking of sales, I hope Bloom's doing okay. She seems a bit…put off lately…

[Stella plops down on her bed and looks over at several picture frames on the wall; one of which is her with the other Winx, appearing to have taken place in either the second or third season. Next to that picture is one of her and Roxy holding two puppies together, followed by a frame of just Stella and Bloom together with a "Friends Forever" caption on the bottom, and then two frames at the end; one with Stella's father King Radius, and the other being her mother; Queen Luna]

[Stella stands up and goes over to the frames of her parents, picking them up and sitting back down on the bed with a sigh]

Stella: I know it's been years now…but I wonder, could things have worked out otherwise…?

[Stella holds the two frames as her mind goes back to a younger version of herself, standing with her parents in front of the royal court. Stella smiles up at Radius and Luna who smile back at their daughter, before the scene flashes to Stella holding her knees to her face on the bed as she hears Radius and Luna arguing outside in the hallway. Stella then pulls the cover over herself in an attempt to block out the noise of her parents. Another flash shows Stella sitting next to her father at a ceremony, and then she looks over to the empty space that used to be her mother's throne]

[The scene flashes back to the present day as Stella is shown holding onto the photos before giving a sigh]

Stella: At the very least…I'm part of both your worlds, the sun and the moon…

[Stella stands up once more to the picture frames back on the shelf. When she turns around, something catches her eye from the makeup drawer]

Stella: Huh?

[Stella walks closer to the dresser and then she notices something underneath her jewelry box. She pulls the box up and gasps]

[Under the box is a sapphire blue gem in the form of a necklace, with the symbol being that of a crescent moon. Stella slowly picks it up and stares at it]

Stella: Mother gave this to me as a late present following Cassandra's downfall…oh…

[Stella raises the necklace in front of the mirror and slowly puts it around her neck. She holds up the crescent moon in particular]

Stella: I know father has issues with moon trinkets, but…it really is beautiful…

[Stella sighs as she tenderly touches the necklace]

Stella: It's strange…I feel like I've been…neglected my lunar side for the longest time…maybe it's cuz I've been so used to the sunlight of Solaria…

[Stella looks back at the frames of her parents with a solemn look on her face]

Stella: Oh, father…mother…why did I have to fall in between you two? I just wanted…a happy family…

[Stella clutches the necklace to her heart as she closes her eyes…her moment is interrupted by the sound of her phone going off]

Stella: Huh?

[Stella looks over and notices that Brandon is the one calling. The blonde girl reaches over to the phone and presses the call button, trying to sound as jovial as she can]

Stella: Helluuuuuu, this is Solaria's favorite princess calling, how can I help you?

[Brandon is shown on the other end of the split screen, having recently finished a game of soccer with some of the other guys and come out from the shower himself]

Brandon: Well, she can help me by spillin' the latest success story, how's the business goin'?

Stella: Greeeeat, got a few royal clients today, so you could say I'm making bank.

Brandon: Hehe, never doubted it for a second, Stell.

Stella: Soooooo, how's everything going with you, Brandy? The guys aren't running you too far into the ground?

Brandon: Oh, not at all, it's gonna take a lot more to take this guy down.

Stella: Hmmhmmhmm, judging by the time we went underground, that's more than apparent.

Brandon: Well, hey, I'll go down to the depths for the people I care about.

Stella: [sighs] You know, I do feel better having spoken with you.

Brandon: Oh, something on your mind then?

Stella: Oh…just found the necklace my mother gave me, you know how it is with the parents.

Brandon: I see…hope it hasn't been bothering you too much.

Stella: Nah, no, at least, not as much as it could, if that made any sense.

Brandon: Makes as much sense comin' from a strong girl like yourself, Stella.

[Stella blushes modestly from the compliment]

Stella: I try…it's nice talking like this.

Brandon: You're tellin' me, none of that drama holding us down, makes me appreciate these kinds of moments.

Stella: You've got that right, sometimes, it feels only like yesterday, we were all stressed to the brim over some…nonsense, hehe.

Brandon: Perhaps it's something called being 'young and dumb."

Stella: Sounds about right. [yawns] I'd better get some sleep, I've got another busy day tomorrow in the shop.

Brandon: Alright then, I'll leave you to your rest, princess. Sleep well now.

Stella: Thank you, good night.

Brandon: Good night.

[The call between the two wraps up with a click and Stella sets about getting her bed ready, putting her phone back in the outlet before heading to the kitchen for an evening snack. We then see her in the bathroom as she brushes her teeth]

[Once she is finished, she goes back to the bedroom and pulls up the sheets. Stella lies down on the mattress and presses her head against the pillow. She then reaches over to the lamp on her drawer and switches it off]

[Stella sighs as she closes her eyes and the camera pans out to show the Fairy of the Sun and Moon fallen fast asleep to a gentle melody playing in the background]

[We transition to the exterior of the Solarian Palace where a crowd has gathered. Cut to the inside of the palace as three royal trumpets give a rousing tune, announcing the arrival of an important figure. Pan down to the Chamberlain as he holds up a scroll in front of the royal court]

Chamberlain: Citizens of Solaria! We are gathered here to witness the crowning of the new heiress to the throne! Please welcome, daughter of the late King Radius, Queen Stella of Solaria!

[The camera cuts to a woman wearing an elegant blue dress with long golden hair as shining as the sun itself, a tiara placed proudly atop her head. Cut to the throne as Stella is shown walking towards it before standing in front of the crowd, smiling at the claps and cheers. She waves to the crowd]

Stella: Thank you…with the responsibility placed on yours truly, I intend to make sure this wonderful kingdom thrives, just as it did under the old rule…

[The crowd sings Stella's praises as she smiles…that is until she surveys the crowd and notices something a little bit out of place…Countess Cassandra and her daughter Chimera…Chimera sneers up at the blonde queen while Cassandra gives Stella a look so cold, ice might have been shooting through her eyes]

[Stella narrows her eyes at the two and looks down…she wishes she hadn't as below Cassandra, oblivious to everyone else in the room, lies King Radius weakly reaching up at Stella, as he looks incredibly pale, even more so than when he was hypnotized during the events of the third season]

Stella: Daddy!

[Stella runs towards her father, but he seems to stretch farther and farther away from her as Stella runs right into a mirror]

Stella: Oh! What…?

[Stella looks around…instead of a single mirror, she's surrounded by a hall of mirrors around her. As she turns around, many mirror versions of herself appear, chatting amongst one another]

"Awwww, you're so pretty."

"So smart and talented too."

"It takes a lot of work to be this beautiful."

"Fit for a queen."

[The camera spins around Stella as her mouth gapes at all the mirrors]

"Then again, do you really deserve all that attention?"

"Who would wanna be around you?"

"Let alone rule an entire kingdom?"

"How could you ever be queen?"

[Stella leans back against a mirror as her reflections continue to taunt her. She turns around and gasps. On the other side of the mirror is her Queen Luna]

Stella: Mother…?

[Without warning, the mirror of Luna shatters into shards]

Stella: AH!

[Stella backs into another mirror and phases right through it. She tries to escape, but finds herself sealed within the mirror as she pounds on the glass]

Stella: Help! Please! I don't want to be alone!

[Stella's cries echo as the camera fast-pans away from her trapped in the hall of mirrors]

Stella: AH!

[Stella rises up, her eyes dart from left to right…she's back inside of her bedroom…the sky is still dark outside while the room is quiet]

Stella: Oh…ooooooooh…it was just a dream…hooooooo…

[Stella lies back down on the bed as she tries to soothe her nerves. The blonde fairy once again closes her eyes and slowly drifts off back to sleep]

[The scene transitions to the next morning as Lola and Tina pass by Stella's shop, cut to the interior as the blonde woman is arranging the dresses on display, a solemn look on her face. At that moment, the bell atop the door rings and a pair of navy blue boots are shown walking past]

[Stella is tending to an orange corset when a voice draws her attention]

?: Hello.

Stella: Huh!

[Stella whirls around to see a girl with long olive green hair looking back at her with a half-lidded smile]

Stella: Oh…hello…can I help you with something?

?: I just wanted to look around the shop…you're Stella, aren't you?

Stella: Um, yes…and you are?

?: Just call me…Selina…that's all I wanted to say…

Stella: Uh, I…oh…

[Stella blinks as Selina walks off, the sound of a bell ringing in the background. Perdita walks into the shop as Selina passes by to leave]

Selina: Don't you think she looks tired…?

Perdita: Pardon?

[The Dalmatian woman doesn't get a response as Selina leaves the shop without another word. Cut back to Stella with a hand on her head as she tries to rationalize what just happened, along with the events of the previous night]

Stella: What is going on with me…? Those mirrors…

[We briefly flash back to the hall of mirrors before we are once again shown the reflection of Luna shattering, before a flash back to reality]

Perdita: Um, ma'am?

Stella: Huh?

[Stella looks up to see Perdita looking at her with a bit of concern]

Perdita: Are you alright?

Stella: Oh, my apologies, just got a bit distracted there. How may I help you?

Perdita: Well, I was wondering if you had anything in light blue.

Stella: Of course, right this way, ma'am.

[Stella guides Perdita over to a set of dresses, while in the back of her head, she's wishing for something to put her mind at rest]

[Transition to evening as Stella is shown closing up shop and giving a sigh]

Stella: Maybe the past is just getting to me…I need to lie down…

[With that, we pan out from Stella walking away with a heavy heart as she passes Granny Webster and Penelope Pussycat going in the opposite direction]
