You know when I let this little lady in I wasn't sure what I was expecting. Scratch that I was expecting a young teen asking for help like this job entailed me doing. But, well...

"I went to the sanctum tower to ask what your phone number was and they didn't even have it! Don't you think as a teacher you should give us a way to reach you!" Here I am being yelled at by said teen. Honestly I don't know when she started yelling since I've decided to zone out. But I decided to begrudgingly half listen. I don't want to repeat what I did to Rin. "Secondly you aren't even dressed properly! You're wearing raggedy clothes that make it look like you just crawled out of a dumpster!" That's a good point she just made sadly I really could care less. It's also a good thing I cleaned the bullet hole on my shirt. It probably would've been bad if she saw that blood.

"So with everything said what do you have to say for yourself?" I turn left to face her after that statement. Her disapproving face was funny looking.

"I honestly couldn't care less." When faced with an anger lady no matter the age honesty is the best policy! Since they can smell deception from a mile away after all.

"Excuse me Sensei, I don't think I heard you properly." Her voice takes a rather dangerous edge? Or rather an attempt at sounding threatening.

"You heard me young lady, your ears work." I say while opening the door to the stair well up to the main office. Before I can open it all the way I feel a sharp tug on my ear.

"Sensei if you act like that you'll lose your job." This is assault, assault I say! No it's physical abuse!

"Ow, ow , ow stop please!" Instead of stopping she began pulling even harder. Why are you angered by my answer about caring!? "Pulling my ear won't solve anything!" Lucky my words got through to her and she let go. I rubbed my poor ear and watched her walked ahead towards the flight of stairs. "Besides I'm not the actual teacher of this place, I'm a substitute." No point in pretending after all, I'll be gone when the actual teacher gets here.

"That doesn't change anything! Your still responsible for the duties you've been assigned." What a curious teenager. From my hazy memories younger me couldn't care worth a damn for others. Or tell them that they're responsible for duties they've been given. In fact, younger me hated his obligations. But her she is talking about being responsible for a position I have no clue how I got.

"Yes I am, but duties forced upon one is an obligation not a responsibility. Obligations are more of a shackle." I state as we walk up the stairs.

"I suppose you're right." She quieted down after our dialogue. Seems she's contemplating something currently. But I don't pry, probably not for me know in all honesty.

"Umm so about your number, could I trouble you to share it with me?" She asks while taking out her own phone. Huh Rin wasn't kidding, her phone looks a lot like mine. Just more advanced.

"Oh yeah I'll give it to you." I give her my number and have her shoot me a text. A simple hello to confirm the number. Even though we aren't using the same texting app it still works. Her message bubble comes up as a pink though. Must be because of the app she's using.

After the test to see if we can contact each other we return to silence. I simply look at the floor signs as we go up them. We're currently on floor five. I wonder which floor the main office is on?

"So may I ask you a question Sensei?" She asks.

"Shoot, also call me substitute. It's feels weird you calling me Sensei." I put my hands in my pockets.

"Okay, well substitute, when will Sensei arrive?" When she asks I ponder. You know I have no clue, in fact I don't think Rin even knows I'm substitute.

"No clue little lady. But it's gotta be soon." I say as we finally reach the top floor, whoever thought the main office should be on the 30th floor deserves to be hung.

"Yuuka Hayase, my name is Yuuka Hayase. I told you my name when you came down and got me!" Uh oh I've angered her again.

"Sorry, sorry Miss Hayase it's just your name is rather unique. I've never heard of a name like it." I hold my hands in mock surrender. She huffs at my response. I open the door and we continue our walk in silence as we walk down hallways. Eventually we make it to the main office, I open the door allowing Yuuka to go in first.

"Hey Yuuka why are you here?" I ask while closing the door behind our entrance. Since in all honesty she doesn't look like she's her for learning. Actually am I suppose to teach every type of subject? Or rather am I meant to teach very specific subjects, like math or history?

"Well I came for two reasons. One was getting your contact information and the second was about the reimbursement for Schale after retaking the club room." I look at her as she says this. Wait but Schale wasn't even operating at the time shouldn't she be asking Rin that question. Technically that operation was under the GSC not Schale. "So how has that been going?" I have no idea how to tell her Schale technically wasn't operating at the time. Hell by all accounts it still isn't since the actual person isn't here yet.

"Well you'll have to take it up with Rin. Schale wasn't active at the time until now." Is all I say while looking at her. Her face is completely flat like I just lied to her.

"So we retook a building of a club that wasn't even active in the slightest." Her voice sounds slightly irradiated. In all honesty I can understand her irradiation, no one likes being kept in the dark. Especially regarding money.

"Yeah pretty much. I also wouldn't be surprised since I'm a substitute I can't access everything the actual person who runs this place can." In fact it's not uncommon for people who are acting as a placeholder to not be able to authorize certain things. After all you don't want said people fucking up the place before the actual head honcho comes back. However I should probably still find documents regarding the building's facilities and providers for water, heat, electricity and etc. After all I have to know what I'm dealing with here so I don't fuck it up.

"Great, so you may not even be able to get a reimbursement." That's the most defeated expression I've ever seen. And she just ignore the whole thing I said about not having the same privileges as the sensei. "Well now I suppose I should speak to Rin." She got up after that comment and walked towards the door.

"Goodbye substitute." She looks back to me as she exits.

"Happy trails Miss Hayase" I say while waving her off.

Now than since that's all done and over with I should look around these filing cabinets in here and find out about the providers. I walk over to one of the filing cabinets an open it. A barren cabinet is what greeted me. I checked the middle cabinet draw after the top also barren. Than the bottom, barren as well! I move to the next cabinet and what a surprise barren. Alright surely at least one of these cabinets or drawers has the documentation I need.

(Two hours later.)

Not a damn thing, not one damn thing! Who hell the put these here and left them empty! If you left them empty why did you label them like they had documents in them! Who thought of that, the damn GSC president before they vanished!

It's okay there's still the downstairs office. Maybe the documents I'm looking for are down there. If not I'll just ask Arona surely the little ai knows the needed info. After all she's a part of Schale so why wouldn't she. I begin my merry trot on down too the second office. In all honesty you'd think an elevator would be in this building but no or rather I just probably haven't noticed it yet. For the moment it's not that bad going down thirty flights of stairs, helps get the steps in. However bringing furniture up here's going to be a pain the ass.

But if there's one thing I like about these stairs is the railing. Great for sliding down! And if I get hurt Pandora could probably just patch me up. I feel my phone buzz for a split second, probably nothing.

"Alright time for the express route!" I shout at the top of my lungs and plop down on the railing. I quickly begin descending down the stairs. Getting around the curves is tricky, but with the right movement I don't fall. "Floor twenty-nine, twenty-five, twenty!" You know counting aloud as you go careening down a railing is kinda fun.

"Fi-fi-achoo!" Oh I'm falling now. I'll be fine right? My phone vibrates as my temple hits a rail. Than while spinning my right section of my ribs shatter against another railing. Finally slipping off that rail I'm falling another ten flights my spinal cord slams into one last railing. Pain that's all I feel and red liquid seeping into my mouth. Huh I thought I be more panicked about dying. My phone begins vibrating, but I can't look at it while passing on. I slink off the railing onto the stairs and tumble down them until I'm on at the ground floor. Then I feel an even worse pain.

My spinal cord feels like it's getting stretched out and snapped back into place. My shattered right side ribs feel like they regrew to long and pierced my lungs. Only for them to than be grounded down to regular length. My temple honestly wasn't that painful. But after that I can only really lay there in a small puddle of my own blood.

"Everything hurts so much." Is all I can manage as a mutter. Eventually I find the courage to stand up. Good news no pain, bad news I've got blood on me again. Guess I'll be cleaning these spots again with vinegar. Especially the floor and stairs, I'll definitely need to clean that later.

I take out my phone and check. Probably Rin or Miss Hayase. Instead it's that asshole Pandora.

'Too heal from my power is to feel pain.' Man I wish I knew that before hand. But in all honesty healing from damage like that might be useful. Hell I'm practically invincible if I can heal that quickly from broken bones. A new message appears on my phone screen. 'Disqualify such notions, if your head is destroyed or heart removed you will die.' Okay so just keep my head and heart fine. Got it sounds easy enough.

My phone screen stays blank. So I guess Pandora is done again, I shake my head and walk toward the office.

Upon reaching the office I think for a second. Would the cabinets in the downstairs office even possess the documents I need? After all the upstairs ones lacked said documents, but checking is the best confirmation I'll get. Once I get inside I walk straight to the cabinets, right before I open it I hear something come on.

Turning I see the shittim chest flicked on. Huh Arona really can just come on when she feels like it. That's, actually kinda neat. Walking over I see a couple of tabs. Mission, bounty, commission, scrimmage, total assault, joint firing drill and finally I see Arona putting up tactical challenge. She wears a little workers hard hat and a small hammer. She bangs the hammer on the button until it stops moving from said bangs.

"What are you doing?" I ask scaring her. Causing her to swing around aiming the hammer at me.

"Don't scare me like that!" She puts her hands on her legs. Bending down taking a breath, as she does I look at the buttons. I go to press one but they vanish off the screen. "Sorry substitute sensei but these buttons can't be used now! However not to worry I've already got other features set up!" She sounds so proud it would be a real dick move to just leave all of a sudden. Real dick move but funny. Though my curiosity wins out. I wave my hand to tell her to continue.

"Other features include as follows!" As she says this I'm greeted by three new mini tabs energy, credits and pyroxene. Two of these names I get, credits sounds like cash and energy is self explanatory. But pyroxene is the one I don't get. "As you can see S.Sensei these will be your main resources!"

"Okay seems simple enough. Also what did you call me?" S.Sensei?

"It's a mouthful to say substitute sensei ever time. So from now on I'm going to call you S.Sensei." I watch her rub the back of her head, fair enough on the abbreviation . Slowly numbers appear on the three tabs. Pyroxene (zero) obviously I don't know what those are, credits (ten thousand) huh I got cash and energy (???/???) the hell does that last one mean! "Energy isn't suppose to say that." Arona doesn't even know! I watch as she hits it with her hammer causing it to vanish. "I'll fix it later." She gives me a thumbs up with a smile.

"Okay what about all these icons below?" I point to them, each one still unnamed. Arona looks to where I'm pointing than hits each one with her hammer. I'm than introduced to the cafe, lessons, students, formations, club, crafting, shop and recruit buttons. Some of these I get but others sound kinda, well pmcy based. "Hey Arona I get some of these but what's up with the formation and recruit options?"

"Well you'll need students to help with certain issues. Some arguments, well kinda, escalate." She laughs awkwardly. I can only sigh, Arona did tell me way earlier that I my have to help with rabble rousers. Since the school responsible for districts not under one of the major nine schools is spread thin. My question is who the hell thought teenagers should be the policemen of this city.

"I don't know Arona, I don't exactly think teens should be witnessing combat. It may be better to handle such issues myself." Honestly I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact these young teens have guns. And not hunting guns you can be trained for as a teen but full on military grade stuff. "So we'll skip out on those." Although, I'm curious as to why I think I can fight?

"S.Sensei that isn't a good idea! You don't have the same kind of durability as students or regular citizens!" Her concern is warranted I suppose. I can heal but that's it. One direct explosive hit, headshot or chest being blasted and it's over. I also don't know if I can regrow limbs. Or if Pandora has a limit of how fast it can regenerate my body. "I see my words got through to you. So please trust in your students!" I look at Arona and sigh.

"Fine, fine so how do I recruit students? Do I send a email or shoot them a text?" Really how would I go about recruiting a teenage girl. I barely understand adult women. Forget understanding teenage girls.

"Simple watch." Arona touches the recruit option on the tablet. I'm taken to a screen that just looks weird. "Here you can use pyroxene to send recruitment letters to students."

"Wait why would it take a currency to send recruitment letters?" I look at Arona who stares at me with a slightly dark expression.

"These things you see here are called banners!" She completely brushed me off! "Each banner holds a higher chance to get a student you want to recruit!" That sounds even worse, like there pets! "But first let's see what students you already have." Wait I have students already.

She hit the house icon and then the students tab. From there I saw four students Miss Hayase, Miss Morizuki, Miss Hanekawa, and finally Miss Hinomiya.

"Go on tap one!" Following Arona's instructions I tap on Miss Hayase and see what's the equivalent of video game stats. Her weapon, gear slots, and skills. Her level is one but what throws me off is the heart with a one in it?

"What's the heart for Arona?" I point at it and she simply smiles.

"Simple, it shows the students bond with you." Okay that makes a lot of sense. But why is it heart shaped? "Their strength will also increase when their bond increases." Hmm, neat way of saying I'm trying harder since I like you a bit more. Talk about petty since there fighting in a battle zone.

"If we go to the formation section, you'll be able to form teams here." She quickly swaps us over to formations section. I see four slots in front of me and two tinier slots below them. And some more buttons on the right side saying W.I.P as if they aren't done. "So by pressing the slots you can assign students to teams!"

"Alright, you know this could be a good way to get students from different schools interacting." In all honesty I could see this being a good way for these teens to make unlikely friendships. Also rivalries if I'm not careful, well rivalries can be a good thing, I think?

"I'm glad you think so! So give it a whirl and put some students in a team." I select the only four students I can pick. Once I'm done I notice three chibi versions of Miss Hayase, Miss Morizuki and Miss Hanekawa. "You can even change where they are in the formation by picking them up." Arona shows me by putting her finger on Miss Hanekawa and dragging her to the front. Though it's a funny thing watching said student hold on to her gun as she dangles in the air.

"Neat so does that affect anything?" After all they have front, middle, back near there names. Must be the positions they prefer in formation. Along with combat roles like tank, support dealer.

"No." Arona plainly answered.

"Oh." So it's a useless feature. Why the hell would you allow me to move them around in formation then!? "So what are those work in progress buttons?" She rubs the back of her head at my question.

"It's just, that well, since your not authorized for the shittim chest, it's taking longer to get everything setup." That makes a lot of sense. After all she's basically bypassing her security measures now that I think about it. "Sorry if it's taking to long." Her halo turns dark blue with water drops coming off it.

"It's fine I got time. Besides, we don't want the actual teacher not being able to use you after all." She nods her head and her halo returns to normal. I begin to wonder what her age is again, she's quick to get sad. She never told me the first time we met. I press the back icon, and observe the icons below again. My gaze stopping on the shop icon. I go and touch it right as Arona tries to stop me.

"Wait S.Sensei!" As she screamed,me along with the shittim chest are suddenly in front of a young girl. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, she's wearing a apron and she also has tiny little wings. She looks absolutely terrified at the sudden appearance of a person. But before she can ask me anything I feel my stomach lurch.

"Blghgl!"

"WHO ARE YOU AND WHY ARE TOU THROWING UP!!!"

(Five minutes of throwing up later.)

"Thanks for the bag little lady." I turn to face her only for my gaze to be drawn to a big forehead.

"D-D-Don't mention it, but umm who are you?" She seems to be frightened which is fair. I did just teleport into the store.

"Oh right, I'm the substitute for sensei until they get here. So, uh, hi." I wave my hand.

"O-o-oh um nice to meet you mister?" Oh shoot I never told her my name.

"My name's...umm...it's..." I don't remember my name! Of all the memories to be fried why is my name fried out of my brain. "Just call me substitute, after all I won't be here long."

"Oh alright substitute." She really just accepted that answer. "S-s-so what can I help you with?" Oh right I'm in a shop after all.

"Well I'm interested about what products you sell." A simple question any clerk can answer.

"W-well if you turn your attention here you'll see we sell a wide variety of products." She gestures her hand towards all sorts of weird things. "This section is for credit purchases, these two is for eligma purchases, this one is total assault the next one is grand assault. This one tactical challenge, this one is joint firing drill and finally there's expert permit purchases." She smiles and pumps her fist. Probably because she didn't stutter while going over the different sections I can purchase from. I think even her little wings flapped a little.

"I see, well you got a metallic water bottle I can buy with credits?" I never expected there to be this many types of currencies in Kivotos.

"Sadly no, b-but you can use that machine over there to convert credits to yen." She points to a machine with the GSC's logo on it. "Since a lot of government workers are paid in credits those machines are used for converting credits to yen. You can also find them in any store within Central D.U." I walk over after she's done explaining.

The machine is simple and too the point. There's a credit insertion slot and a yen export slot. A screen boots up in front of me and scans my face. I'm hit with the amount of credits I currently have. I'm also shown the credit conversion rate to yen is about one credit to one hundred yen. Which means this conversion rate is a good bit better than the US's to Japans. At least I think, a bit fuzzy there.

"Hey little missy how much for the metallic water bottle?" I turn my head towards her.

"It's one thousand five hundred yen. A-And my name is Sora I realized I never told you." Huh neat name, kinda fitting for her.

I select the amount of credits I need to convert and out pops one thousand five hundred yen. I walk on over and give Sora the money.

"P-please come again!" She says will handing me the receipt. I nod my head to her and leave the store. And end up inside a whole different building. I think it's a different building at least. It's hard to tell since I didn't really explore Schale.

Walking through I see a study room, gymnasium, arcade, dining hall, garden and the convenience store. What kind of building is this? Half these rooms shouldn't be together at all. Who puts an arcade in the same vicinity of a study room. That seems quite deliberate no less. Each room is what you would expect but the garden leaves a lot to be desired. I should plant some vegetables or flowers at some point. Though the actual teacher may not like that so much. Yet, I feel like this place really should have multiple staff members. Not just the head honcho himself.

I find a door and upon going through I'm back in Schale's main lobby. Well that does explain this door. Oh right before I completely forget. I look at the shittim chest.

"Hey Arona do know Schale's providers for its utilities?" She ponders my question while rubbing her chin. Even her halo swapped over to look like a question mark.

"Uuuh I don't know, but I can look within my files and see." Her halo swapped from a question mark to an exclamation mark upon her statement. I nod my head to give her the go ahead. "Alrighty just give me a little bit to try and find it. My files are kinda messy." I see Arona vanish out of the classroom. All that I can see now is all the icons I can press. It's tempting but I don't want to be teleported again. Besides now could be the perfect time to explore the area around Schale and then explore the rest of the Schale building later.

I turn toward the exit of the lobby and begin my merry walk. After all there's no way today could be any worse than earlier. I open the door and I'm greeted by sunshine. Along with lots of noise of cars beeping too, animal people and robots walk the busy streets from what I can see. Roll with punches me roll with the punches, even if it's all bizarre.

Walking just a little bit off of Schale's premises I notice the signs are in korean, may whatever gods are out there have mercy upon me.

(Three hours later. D.U. mega mall.)

I eventually found my way to a mega mall. It's a rather massive place. So far I've only seen robots and animal people. Not another single human soul. Well grown human soul, most humans seem to be students. Secondly everyone here speaks korean in D.U it seems. So asking for directions was a hassle, but some of them also spoke english. Through trial and error I eventually made it here. Sadly all the stores are also in korean, so well it's a bust kinda. Still I can explore the malls various store.

So far the only stores I've seen are standard clothing, makeup, video games and gun shops. I don't think I would count gun shops as standard, but what do I know. I decided to check out a random clothing shop first to see if anything catches my eye. Most the clothes inside are your typical street clothes, nothing special.

"Ooooh a nice pair of boots." I pick them up, inspecting them. The treads on the bottom seem to be hexagonal. While the feeling of the boot speaks of a sturdy leather. I check the tongue of the shoe for the tag to see its materials. "Huh, korean." I don't know why I thought the tag would be in english. I put the boot back down and continued to look around. I found nice jacket but it's rather tacky. It doesn't help the materiel feels like it would cause itchy skin.

I sigh and leave the store ignoring the clerk trying to get my attention. I resume my leisurely stroll through the mall. Eventually stopping at a store that sells helmets. Why specifically helmets I wish I knew. Theres undead, monstrous, animal, mythology and etc of helmets designs. Hell there's one that looks like duck or a chicken. I continue my browsing only to hear shouting probably just a customer mad at a price.

Eventually I grow bored of the bizarre helmets and go to leave only to be stopped. By two girls wearing helmets one wearing red the other black. I go to move past them but one shoves me back or tried to, they kinda just bounced off me.

"ileon jenjang nan geu salam-i kkomjjagdo haji anh-eul geolago saeng-gag mos haess-eo!" I don't understand her but she sounds pissed? I watch as the red helmeted one helps her up.

"geu salam jeongmal geuleohge umjig-iji anhneun geolkka?" The red helmeted one looks at the black helmeted one.

"cheolbyeog-e budijhin geos gat-ass-eo." Are they just having full conversation? Should I go?

I sniff and go to walk around them only to feel someone grab my shoulder. I turn to look at the person in question.

"eodi gasinayo neulg-eun-i?" I have no clue what she said and look at her confuse "hangug-eoleul moleusinayo?" What did she just ask me, sounds like a question? I don't know what she said but I shake my head no. Probably asking if I know about a specific helmet. She rubs her chin than slams her fist into her hand.

"Hello." She says with the most serious expression I've seen before.

"Hi." I say staring back at her.

"Okay, cool you speak english! Now then, hand over your cash!" What an uncouth demand to make to a stranger.

"Whoa, I barely know you, you're not my regular mugger." I look at the store clerk for a brief second. He seems to get my message.

"What?" Good she's confused or dumbfounded by my stupidity!

"Yeah, do teenagers these days not know about the mugging rules. What a disgrace, you didn't even give me your name!" I lay my displeasure on thick.

"Huh,well I'm Rabu." Okay I gotta keep the pace so she keeps playing along.

"Rabu, hmmm I don't think you're one of my designated muggers. You sure you're mugging the right person." I point at the young lady. Now that I look at her she's got red hair and red eyes. She's also wearing a russian ballistic helmet or is that just a welder's mask attached to a biker helmet? Nevertheless she stands out alright.

"Well I'm robbing you." She seems proud of the fact if anything.

"Well I can't be robbed now I have a four o'clock with my mugger. Can we reschedule me being robbed to a later date?" She looks at her minions than back at me.

"I mean usually this doesn't happen. Most people just cough up their cash. But I guess we can?" She looks at me like I'm weird which is fair.

"Alright what about next week Thursday?"

"No, that's to long a wait what about tomorrow?"

"Can't I got a meeting, how about this week Wednesday?"

"That could work, if you can make it by five o'clock."

"Five o'clock am or pm?"

"PM."

"Where are we meeting?"

Before she can answer a screech akin to a megaphone sounds out. "This is the police, please come out of the store with your hands up!" Wow the cops got here fast. We both look at each other for a bit before Rabu smirks.

Oh boy, I already know where this is going.

A/N Hopefully you enjoyed this. Any critiquing is appreciated. So thanks for stopping by and happy trails.
