Play the Vampire

Most residents of the Sakamaki estate didn't need to cook so few rarely bothered to learn. That meant it feel onto Yui to do all the cooking. The only good thing was that she could make whatever she wanted since she would be the one eating most of it. Some of the brothers sometimes helped themselves to it, often to judge her skills. She was in the middle of slicing onions when she heard Ayato groan from the table. "This boring! Come on, I'll order you whatever you want if you get your ass over here. Yours Truly's hungry!"

"I'm hungry too and if I can wait then so can you." She didn't talk back to Ayato often, it got under his skin, which would then get under Yui's skin, literally. The vampire's stomach grumbled loudly which made Yui look back at him for a moment. It was a moment in which she wasn't paying attention and nicked her thumb with the knife. "Ow!"

Her pained noise got Ayato's attention as much as the scent of her blood did. "You clumsy idiot." He scowled at her, stood up and walked over to her. "Teasing like this when you know how much I want you. You want every vampire in the house to take a bite?" His cold, pale hand grabbed hers and bit into her bleeding thumb, fully sucking it into his mouth. Ayato made it a point to drag and swirl his tongue around the thumb before releasing it with a wet pop. "Mmm, thanks for the dessert, Pancake. Knew you were listening."

Yui blushed from his words and actions before she pulled her hand away and hid it behind her back. "Ayato! You... you can't just... this is why I need to eat more."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, as long as you save the first bites for me." He winked and scooted to her side, the knife in his hand. "Now where's the recipe? The sooner we get this done the sooner Yours Truly can feed properly!" Without waiting for Yui to actually tell him what he needs to do he started furiously chopping the onions. "Ha, see? That wasn't hard at all."

"Show off." She pushed against his side to make more room for herself. "If you want to help you can chop the potatoes next."

"Easy!" Ayato grinned and got to work. With proper incentive he could be persuaded to help Yui out. But he didn't pick up on the fact that she knew how to play him all too well by now.
