In the cold and infinite depths of space, a lone spaceship sped through the nothingness, it's pilot evading pursuit from a few more behind them.
"It's no good." The leader of the group grimaced as they were forced into another extreme measure. "I am authorizing this as Combat Level: Orange. Permission to use C-class Armaments is authorized. Do whatever you must to catch her!"
"Understood, sir!"
The other pilots in their spaceships vocally saluted, all of them flicking on switches and punching buttons that fired missiles at the chased spacecraft. While they would've preferred to have done this with as little damage as possible, they had to at least prevent their target from utilizing her FTL Jump again.
"Ah!" The pilot shrieked in surprise as her spaceship rocked from the impact of the missiles, slowly careening as the engines failed.
"Looks like this is as far as you can go." The leader declared across the radio, having connected it to their target.
"Do you... think I'll give up... at a time like this?!" Their target shouted before she punched a few more buttons on the control panel before her before raising her hand to push a lever as forward as possible. After giving off a few more sparks, her spaceship roared back to life before speeding off again.
"What?! It can still function with that much damage?!" The leader shouted in shock as their target's ship suddenly FTL Jumped, space briefly warping as it disappeared from their sights entirely. "Where was her destination?!"
"We don't know, sir." One of the other pilots answered. "But her vessel is still one of ours and is fitted with a tracker beacon. The moment she comes out of her FTL Jump, we can track her coordinates."
"...very well." The leader spoke up after a short pause. "Get those coordinates and find her!"
As the spaceship came out of it's FTL Jump, it's pilot began to breathe easier. It hadn't been easy, but she'd done it. She'd finally outrun those-
Her eyes narrowed in on the flashing beacon that had just started to blip rapidly, closing as she groaned in childish frustration. "Oh, come on!"
She could only get so far with her spaceship not only damaged but now dangerously low on power, especially as she had no idea of her current location. Pulling up a hologram map of the galaxy sector she was currently in, she began a search for a planet which would be suitable for her needs.
And then, she saw it.
It was just two thirds the size of her own homeplanet, but it at least ranked Level 5 in terms of technology while her home ranked Level 40.
"E-ar-th." She tested out it's name on her tongue, eyeing the planet in consideration before giving an exited nod. "Alright, let's go!"
Punching in the coordinates into her navigational system, the pilot flew forward towards her new destination.
With her pursuers right in tow.
Chapter 01: The Girl Who Fell From The Sky
He was a man on a mission!
Rito Yuuki clenched his fist in determination as he watched Haruna Sairenji passing by with her friends, completely infatuated.
With her short silky blue hair with a red hair pen kept her bangs held up on the left side, mesmerizing purple eyes held a kindness to them not seen in many people and the demeanor of a small animal that one just wanted to protect and cuddle, Haruna Sairenji was quite the cutie to many students, especially with the Sainan High female uniform that clung to her body and showed off her modest bust size even through the vest. But that wasn't all that had captivated Rito.
'Okay, I can do this...' Rito gulped as Haruna's friends entered a class, leaving the school idol in a brief and rare moment of her being alone. 'Now is the time to confess to Haruna-chan...'
His love for went way beyond skin-deep. It was heartwarming, it was soulful, it was-
"Hey, Rito."
"GYAA?!" Rito jumped back at the sudden pat on his shoulder, blinking in shock at the person that had just approached him.
"What are you doing?" Kenichi Saruyama asked in curiosity.
Rito sighed before pressing a finger against his friend's chest. "Don't scare me like that, Kenichi."
"Your reaction was even scarier." Kenichi deadpanned. "It's normally impossible for people to sneak up on you."
Casting a cursory glance, Kenichi instantly identified the reason. "Oh, you're stalking Sairenji again?"
"Who are you calling a stalker, you bastard?!" Rito shouted as he throttled Kenichi by his collar. "I'm just... considering the timing."
"Timing, you say?" It said a lot of how often this happened that Kenichi's disposition hadn't changed the slightest despite being lifted to his toes by his collar.
"Yeah... I've decided... I'm..." Rito's face reddened as he released Kenichi and started to twiddle his fingers before clenching them into fists. "I'm going to confess to Haruna-chan today!"
"Again, huh?"
Kenichi didn't sound supportive, but Rito fortunately wasn't counting on his support anyways.
Rito had known Haruna since his second year of junior high. He'd always liked her, and had tried to confess to her over and over, but...
Rito gulped as he approached Haruna from behind, very focused on pushing down his nerves while clutching his love letter.
*BAM!*
So focused that he never noticed the soccer ball slamming into his face hard enough to knock him down.
Haruna hadn't noticed anything.
And over...
Rito gulped as he approached Haruna from behind, very focused on pushing down his nerves while clutching his love letter.
*whew-CRACK!*
So focused that he never noticed the flowerpot that suddenly fell out of nowhere and smashed onto his head. If he hadn't been as durable as he was, that could've seriously hurt him.
Haruna hadn't noticed anything.
And over...
Rito gulped as he approached Haruna from behind, very focused on pushing down his nerves while clutching his love letter.
*BAM!*
"Gak-?!"
So focused that he never noticed the truck that suddenly slammed into him as he crossed the road.
Due to the driver profusely apologizing for nearly running him over, Rito was unaware of Haruna at least noticing his very short scream.
And over...
Rito stood prepared and ready to confess, only to balk at the sight of a rampaging herd of elephants that had appeared out of nowhere and trampled him. By the time he'd dealt with that, Haruna was already gone, leaving Rito with grateful zookeepers and dumbfounded ambulance medics who kept asking how the young man had survived getting trampled without a single broken bone while forcing him into a stretcher.
All he'd gotten from all that was just a few bruises, he was fine!
But... all of that would end today!
Right after school, Rito got to the gates as soon as he could, waiting for Haruna there. Today, once and for all, Rito would succeed in confession!
After her belief in him, how could Rito give any less effort?
Rito gasped at the sight before him, distraught at the sight of the school garden's damaged state. 'What caused this?'
He'd just gotten on his knees and grabbed a trowel to try and salvage some of the seeds when he heard a bucket get dropped behind him.
Looking behind him, he saw that it was one of his classmates who was a member of the gardening club. Looking at her shocked and horrified expression, Rito looked at the trowel in his hand at the garden behind him, instantly realizing what was about to happen. "W-Wait...!"
She didn't wait, instantly running away to spread the false news that he'd been responsible for the garden's destruction.
What had followed had been the worst four months of his life, with him being shunned by almost everybody in the school. Other than suffering an undeserved punishment, Rito had become a bullying target, ostracized by both classmates and teachers.
It got bad enough that his mother had offered to pull him out and transfer him to a different school if Rito wished for it.
He'd even been kicked off the soccer team despite being it's Ace. The only bright spot in all of that darkness was Kenichi's loyalty, his perverted best friend never doubting Rito's innocence and even quitting his own clubs in protest of Rito's mistreatment.
"Hey, Sairenji. What do you think?"
"Eh?"
Just as he was walking down the stairs, Rito paused and hid out of sight when he heard Haruna's voice.
"About Yuuki. Rito Yuuki."
"Ah... Well, I... I want to believe in Yuuki-kun. Because Yuuki-kun is..."
"Eh?"
"No, nevermind. Besides, back then, wasn't Yuuki-kun pretty clean for someone who'd supposedly vandalized a garden with nothing but a trowel at hand?"
"Sairenji?"
"I'll believe in Yuuki-kun's innocence. Besides, he's not the type to do something like that."
"Sairenji, you're too soft on people!"
"Let's go. Sensei's waiting."
"Wait!"
Even as the girls hurried away, Rito didn't move away from where he'd hidden for a long while, letting his tears gently trickle down his cheeks. 'Somebody believes me... Not just my family or my friend who know me better than anyone else... But she believes in me...!'
While it would be a while until the situation got cleared up and it was revealed that the true culprit had been a stray dog, Rito never forgot the girl whose kindness had been just as amazing as her beauty.
She was Haruna Sairenji.
The one who had believed in Rito Yuuki.
"I can do this. I can do this. I can do this."
The moment of truth had arrived. Haruna had finally arrived out into the courtyard, on her way home no doubt.
'Right, I'm going to say it!' Rito mentally declared as he slowly approached Haruna, also tuning out the strange whistling noise he'd been starting to hear. 'I will! I must!'
Rito gulped as he got closer to Haruna, who in turn was walking towards him with her attention focused in a small book. "Ha... Haru..."
Then... he stalled. Rito's heartbeat accelerated, his breath escaped him, his entire head seemed to boil from how much blood rushed upwards while heating up.
All because Haruna just walked past him, her natural fragrance teasing Rito's nose. It was only the slowly loudening whistle sound that snapped him out of it.
'Why?! I can't stop here! If for noting else, I can't let Kenichi be right!' Rito turned about and actually called out. "Ha- S-Sairenji-san!"
Haruna looked around in confusion at the boy she just passed. "Eh?"
"I... I... lov-"
"WATCH OUT BELOW!"
A girl screamed out, almost drowned out by the whistling noise that had now become loud enough to almost deafen Rito, causing him (and everyone else) to look up and notice the flaming object flying towards them.
In three seconds, it would collide into the courtyard at terminal velocity, it's mere shockwave enough to vaporize the unfortunate students.
In two seconds, Rito instinctively calculated exactly how much strength it would take to bleed off the momentum.
In one second, Rito mentally sobbed at another failed confession. 'That settles it. The universe itself is so against my confession it literally tossed a spaceship at me.'
At ground zero, Rito slammed both palms against the flaming spaceship, simultaneously bleeding off most of it's momentum, diverting it downwards into the ground instead of it's angled descent that would've made it hit Haruna, and let the resulting (and much smaller) shockwave blast him away, his clothes being the only things on him to take damage.
"Daaaaaaaaaaamniiiiit!" Rito wailed as he was sent flying into the distance, with only Haruna to have noticed his impromptu flight as well as a hint of what he'd done.
"Yuuki-kun...?" Haruna was really confused what had just happened.
"Phew, that was close." The former pilot of the crashed spaceship wiped her forehead in relief. As she was making her way down to Earth, her pursuers had managed to catch up with her and had shot at her ship again, finally finishing it off and forcing it to crash. This forced her to do an immediate ejection and ditch her ship. "Earthlings sure are stronger than I thought."
Thankfully, it looked like the Earthling who might've been hurt by the spaceship had been capable of protecting himself, even if he'd accidentally sent himself flying away.
"But now..." The pilot mused as she looked at her current surroundings. She currently stood on top of a large building and looked down at the city below her, her smoking spaceship still in view and surrounded by the school students. "What do I do now?"
"THERE SHE IS!"
"AFTER HER!"
Hearing the familiar voices, the pilot didn't even turn around to look at who was yelling and immediately leapt away. She wasn't about to let herself get caught so soon.
"I'm home..."
Rito despondently called out as he entered and greeted his little sister, pausing to only to snag one of the chips she'd been eating.
"Welcome home, Rito." Mikan Yuuki greeted back, not having a reason to get off the couch. "Dad said he'd be home late again."
"'kay..." Rito answered before he retreated to his room and immediately collapsed into his bed, his phone ringing as he called Kenichi.
Like a true bro, Kenichi was amused by his romantic misfortune after he'd been updated with how things had gone. "So you fucked it up again!"
"Why do you make it sound like it was my fault that a spaceship interrupted me?" Rito huffed.
"Now, now, don't fret." Kenichi replied, currently perusing a model magazine. "Did Sairenji see you at least?"
"No... I let the blast wave carry me out of sight after catching it." Rito sighed. "Why is it stuff like this always happens?"
"Maybe it's because you can handle it? You're easily the toughest guy I know, but I'm pretty sure the universe has it out for you whenever it comes to girls. And that's not even going into your own reaction towards them. It's one thing when I show you gravure shots of models, it's another when Momioka teased you that time when she nearly flashed you her panties."
"Th-That was a long time ago!" Rito protested. Really, it had just been a month ago. The teasing girl in question had just pressed her finger to her skirt and had dragged it upwards in a tantalizing manner, only to snatch the yakisoba bun from his hand when distracted. "I'm not like that anymore!"
"Really? Then just try to picture Sairenji in a swimsuit."
Rito choked as the image instantly slid into existence.
A nice sunny day at a beach, with Haruna dressed in a two piece bikini that made her straddle the line between cute and sexy-
"Buh!" Rito flushed heavily, groaning heavily at his own imagination.
"Hahahaha! 'Long time ago', my ass!"
"Kenichi, screw you."
"No thanks. That job's for Sakura-chan in my dreams~!" Kenichi cheerily replied. "Still, you need to build up resistance, first. Confessions can come after, Rito."
As the pilot ran atop the roofs of the houses in the suburban area, she dared not look back. If she did, she was afraid that she would be caught and they would take her back. She could not go back to that place. She just needed to keep running.
The brown haired boy let out a sigh as he lowered himself into the bathtub. "Damn you, Kenichi... He doesn't even have a girlfriend himself, but still says whatever he feels like..."
Rito sighed some more as he sank deeper into the hot water. "Well, it does little to change the fact that he's got a little point. The only girls I know on a personal level are just Mikan and Mom... It's not like I had any interest in stuff like this while I had my games..."
Unbidden, Rito's memories reminded him of the good old days when he used to enjoy soccer.
"Urgh." Rito shook his head and dispelled the bad emotions that popped up, focusing more on Haruna. Naturally, his thoughts soon went back to his imagined Haruna in a swimsuit.
"Yuuki-kun, could you rub some suntan over me?" Haruna asked. "The sun is pretty harsh today, and I would appreciate your help."
"U-Uh, sure." Rito nodded as he took the suntan oil from Haruna, his eyes fixed on her form as she laid on the mat, flat on her stomach and under the umbrella's the time Rito had poured copious amounts of oil into his hands, Haruna had unraveled her bikini top, leaving the sides of her breasts spilled outwards as they pressed down against the mat.
Rito gulped many times as he let his hands slide all over her smooth skin, firmly applying the oil to wherever he could reach. Her arms, her legs, her back, waist-
"Thank you, Yuuki-kun~" Haruna muttered as she turned over, her hands hiding her breasts while she exposed her front to him. "Now, please... Do my front too~"
Rito groaned at the fantasy as his hand slowly caressed his throbbing cock. "Haruna-chan..."
So invested in his fantasies that he completely missed the crackling of energy in his bathwater.
They were gaining on her at a fast rate. No matter how fast she ran, they were always there in front of her. While she was stronger and faster than them, she still wasn't as trained and was really low on stamina by this point.
There had to be something she could use! Wait... Of course, how could she forget?!
It would be pretty risky, but desperate scenarios called for desperate solutions!
At the very least, it would definitely throw them off her trail.
"There she is!"
Two of them surrounded the pilot from opposite sides, ready for any sudden movements.
"Come quietly and we won't have to get any rougher with you."
"Let's put an end to this mad game of tag, already."
"Sorry, but this thing you're calling a game is nowhere near it's end." Smiling, the girl raised her wrist and pressed a button on the bracelet that suddenly appeared over it, causing her body to glow and crackle with energy. "Take me away, Hopping Warp-kun!"
"Whyyyyyy?!"
"Not agaaaaaaaiiiin!"
"What the-?!" Rito finally noticed the build up of energy in his bathtub, the water bubbling furiously until it finally exploded.
Water from the tub flew everywhere and spilled onto the floor while steam covered the entire bathroom, preventing the boy from properly seeing anything.
Rito winced as his skin smarted while his hands extended in the hopes of grabbing whatever that had entered into the bathtub. "W-What the hell…?! Why did the bath explod-"
His hands grabbed something. A pair of somethings to be exact.
In his hands, Rito felt something soft yet firm, warm and round.
As the steam cleared, Rito's eyes came face to chest with a pair of large breasts. Looking upwards, he saw that those breasts were attached to a young girl that looked around his age. She sported fair and smooth skin and long bubblegum pink hair that trailed down her back.
It must also be stated that she was completely naked.
"Ah~ Escape successful!" After popping her back and stretching out her arms, she then opened her eyes to reveal a set of and wide emerald green eyes that gave a curious glance at the boy still groping her.
Rito just stood completely still, unknowing of what to do until his brain finally crashed and made him collapse back into the tub.
The girl's only response to that was an amused giggle. "Hey. Are you finished?"
Rito kept staring, his eyes wide in shock until he heard her voice and realized.
This was no hallucination.
"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Downstairs, Mikan instantly got up and ran towards the bathroom after hearing her brother yell loud enough to bother their neighbors. "Wh-What's wrong, Rito?!"
However, before she could open it, Rito slammed the bathroom door open, stumbling out into the hallway with nothing but a towel around his waist. Turning to face the girl, she could see a small trail of blood leaking from his nose while his eyes were wide with shock with his face crimson.
"I-In the bath... naked girl..." Rito shakily pointed into the bathroom.
"Huh?" Mikan raised an eyebrow before checking the bathroom herself. "Where is she, exactly?"
"Sh-She's there! Right there in the bathtub!"
"...there's nobody here, though."
Indeed, there was no naked girl in the bathroom as Rito said there was. All that was in the bathroom was a tub filled half way with water with the other half spread out on the floor. Peeking into the bathroom himself, Rito became horribly confused. "Th-That's weird. I'm pretty sure she was just..."
"Rito, I know you that you really like that girl Saruyama-san mentioned, but you should keep aware that your fantasies of her are that. Fantasies." Mikan then sent him a teasing smile that only a younger sister could send. "At least remember that."
Rito blushed even harder after hearing that.
"That was weird..." Rito asked himself as he left the bathroom, properly dressed in his sleepwear now. "I'm pretty sure that she was really there... I don't have the creativity to think up such a detailed delusion of someone other than Haruna-chan..."
Shaking his head, Rito grasped the doorknob and opened his door. "Come to think of it, I never even seen that girl before..."
Rito halted, his eyes stuck on the bubblegum haired girl who sat on his bed with nothing more than a towel.
"Hi, there." She raised a hand in greeting, as if she wasn't talking to someone who'd groped her not even five minutes ago. "You don't mind me borrowing a towel, do you?"
'Ah. She was real.' Rito's eyes drank in her still damp body before suddenly realizing that there was a complete stranger in his house. "Wh-Who are you?!"
"Me? I'm Lala."
"L-Lala?"
"Yeah. Lala Satalin Deviluke." Lala answered as she got up and approached him. As she made her way up to him, Rito realized that he was a few inches taller than her and with how close she was, he could look down and see the girl's breasts and cleavage. This sight made him blush and try to look away. "I came from the planet Deviluke."
"D-Deviluke? You're... an alien?"
Lala laughed at the question as she rubbed the back of her head. "Well, I guess that'd be from the perspective of an Earthling."
Rito frowned and looked away, hiding his eyes as when he'd taken note of how Lala's breasts seemed to swell slightly with each breath she took. "Seriously? Other than that sudden appearance in the bathroom, I haven't seen anything to believe you as anything beyond human. You look like a typical girl my age, even if super beautiful. You're even speaking fluent Japanese!"
"Hmm... Well, then take a look at this." She then proceeded to turn around and lift up the bottom of the already small towel.
Seeing this, Rito's red face transcended into crimson. "W-Wait! Don't just pull up your towel like that-"
*swip*
Rito's words cut off as his gaze ignored her peachy butt, totally focused on the long, thin, black tail that had a heart shape tip that originated from just above it.
"See? Earthlings don't have these, right?" Looking over her shoulder as she said this, Lala's tail wiggled around in the air, showing off that it was indeed very real. "Ah. Just because I have a tail doesn't mean that I transform under a full moon."
"And I don't keel over when exposed to meteor rocks that glow green." Rito helplessly mumbled. "If you're really an alien, how and why did you suddenly appear in my bath?"
"That's because... Ta-da~!" Lala raised her hand up to display an elegant looking bracelet, the type that Rito would admit that it fitted a Sci-Fi theme. "I used this! My Pyon-Pyon Warp-kun! This allows any living unit to teleport anywhere, even if I can exactly set where I want to go!"
Rito blinked. "Warp? That little thing is a teleporter?"
"Yup! But..." Lala's expression turned into one of mild embarrassment. "Other than randomizing the area in which I appear, it also only allows organic matter to be transferred. That's why I appeared into your bathroom naked before."
'So it makes you leave behind your clothes?! That's a serious flaw?!' Rito gawked. "That doesn't sound like it's properly made."
"It really isn't." Lala nodded in agreement, her face looking somber despite her smile. "I'm being pursued, after all."
'Pursued? What the hell's going on?' Rito thought, his thoughts quickly switching to concern. "What's pursuing that you would use something as risky that teleporter?"
"Well-"
"Lala-samaaaaaa!"
Both individuals jumped a bit at the sound of a high pitched voice from nearby. Looking towards the window, the two saw the source of the voice came from a small... Well, Rito had no idea how to describe it without comparing it's appearance to that of a doll or toy.
It was small and completely white with its eyes being two black swirls and having neither a mouth nor nose. It wore a small white coat with yellow edges along with a blue shirt and red tie while having black bat wings that weren't flapping as it flew through the air.
Upon seeing the toy-like object, Lala's previously somber face turned to that of happiness. The girl ran towards the window with her arms stretched out as if she was expecting a hug after drawing it open. "Peke!"
"You're alright, Lala-sama!" The toy cheered as it flew into Lala's arms.
"I'm so glad that you were able to escape safely." Lala's hug tightened with relief.
"Yes. Thankfully, they were stunned by your sudden disappearance which allowed me to slip away from our pursuers." Peke explained before finally realizing Rito's existence. "Lala-sama, who's this dull looking Earthling?"
"Dull-looking?!" Rito's brow twitched in annoyance.
"He lives in this house." Lala replied, not remarking on her toy's remark before suddenly realizing something as she turned to him. "Now that I think about it, I haven't asked your name."
"I'm Rito." Rito sighed as he answered. "Rito Yuuki."
"So you're Rito..." Lala tested out his name as she memorized it. "This is Peke. An all-purpose costume robot that I made."
"Nice to meet you." Peke greeted.
"Costume robot?" Rito repeated before blushing and panicking as Lala suddenly threw off her towel. "Why'd you take the towel off?!"
"Alright, Peke!" Lala ignored Rito, giving her order to the robot. "Get to it!"
"Understood!" Peke saluted. "Change: Dress Form!"
Suddenly, a bright light shone from Peke as it transformed into some kind of rope and wrapped herself around Lala in a way that had her moaning from the constriction. With a brighter flash, the 'rope' melted and spread about Lala's body, transforming into a set of the weirdest clothes Rito had ever seen, even (or especially) as it really looked like an enlarged version of Peke being refitted to snugly match Lala's proportions.
'Well, I take back my doubts.' Rito thought as he looked over how Lala's new appearance strangely fitted her, even with how erotically it hugged her curves.
"Is it too tight, Lala-sama?"
"No, it's perfect!" Lala answered as she twirled about a little. "I'm glad you tracked me down so fast, Peke! Without you, I wouldn't have anything to wear. What do you think? Isn't it cute, Rito?"
"Well, I guess it's fine if someone as cute as you is the one wearing it." Rito answered, which made Lala smile at his compliment. 'Does she realize that she looks cute in spite of those clothes, not because?'
"By the way, Lala-sama, what do you intend to do now?"
Cupping her chin, Lala looked down while her face appeared to be in thought. "That's a good question-"
Suddenly, two men appeared into Rito's room from his still opened window. Both of them were taller than him and wore matching black suits with black sunglasses. They also appeared to have pale skin, but that was where the initial similarities between the two ended. One of the two possessed green hair and had a very stoic expression. The other sported red hair along with a large scar running down his left eye.
'I... didn't hear them coming...' Rito thought in panic as he looked at the two men, their focus completely on the girl between them. 'These guys were too fast for me to hear them approaching?!'
It was then Rito took another good look at the men and his eyes widened when he noticed them bearing tails similar to Lala's, the only difference being that theirs ended in a diamond shape instead of a spade. 'They're... They're like her?!'
"We finally found you." The redhead said while his partner just continued to silently stare down the pink haired girl. "We have to thank you for at least ensuring that your little robot friend could track you by your own DNA. You won't be getting another chance to vanish on us again."
Frowning at this new information, the only female closed her eyes before growling. "Peke."
The costume robot jolted in fear at it's creator's tone, the hat trembling at the incoming scolding that was imminent.
"Have I not told you to always be aware of people following you?"
"Y-Yes..."
"You stupid robot!" Lala exclaimed as she childishly punched the air. "They've caught up to us again!"
"I'm sorry!"
The two men then closed in on the girl, prompting her to get back in guard.
"Lala-sama, why not use the bracelet again?"
"Impossible." Lala grimaced. "Pyon-Pyon Warp-kun needs a full day of recharging before I can use it again."
"Well, that's convenient." The redhead declared as he reached out and grabbed Lala's wrist. "We can finally put an end to all of this."
"No! Let me go!"
"Be quiet and come with u-?!"
The redhead was cutoff midsentence as Rito's fist smashed into his cheek, his body flying into his surprised partner and coincidentally releasing Lala.
"What the- You little...!" The other man finally spoke, charging forward with a punch that Rito ducked under before retaliating with an uppercut that smacked his head against the roof and brought him down onto the redhead that had started to get up.
With the two men down, Rito grabbed Lala's hand and leapt out the window and onto the neighbors' roof, taking off running away from the house. "Let's go, hold on tight!"
"Hey, kid! Wait!"
The two men took off after the teenagers, all four of them running over the roofs.
"Rito... why?" Lala asked as she was pulled along by his surprisingly strong grip.
"I don't really have much context of your circumstances." Rito panted. "But you were clearly resisting those men for a reason, to the point that you used that faulty teleporter of yours! There was no way I could just stand by and let those two take you against your will!"
Lala, along with her mechanical companion, became stunned upon hearing the human's declaration.
Down in the streets, a black and white dog barked upwards at the roofs, surprising it's owner.
"What's wrong, Maron?" Haruna, dressed in a white jacket over her clothes, followed Maron's line of sight to see what had agitated him and noticed the people running on the roofs. "Thieves?"
Although, the boy leading the chase looked familiar... "Eh? Y-Yuuki-kun?"
As he leapt down from the roofs and continued to run through the darkened streets of his neighborhood, Rito looked over his shoulder to check if they were being followed. From what he could see, nobody was following him, but guys like them never gave up so easily-
"Raaaaargh!"
-like the black haired Devilukean who just tossed a truck at them from above.
"Weren't you trying to at least take Lala alive?!" Rito shrieked as he carried Lala into a bridal carry and sped away from the truck just as it slammed down, moving inhumanely fast enough to escape the resulting blast from the impact. The shockwave still sent both Rito and Lala flying forward into a metal fence. Quickly thinking, the boy turned his body around so that his back would absorb most of the impact.
"Rito!" Lala clutched his hand desperately, only to blink in surprise as Rito easily stood up despite having been slammed into the metal fence hard enough to bend it. "Y-You're okay?"
"I'm way more durable than I look." Rito commented as he stepped forward. "Where are they-"
"There you are."
Turning around to face the two men, Rito held a protective arm in front of Lala before yelling. "Stay back! If you come any closer than that, I'll hit you way harder than I did before!"
"Look, kid. I don't think you've got the full picture here." The red head sighed as he looked at the boy in front of him before he turned his gaze to Lala. "Does he know why we've been chasing you?"
"From how desperate Lala's been, I'm pretty sure I know enough." Rito shot back.
"Seriously..." The redhead grumbled as he palmed his face in exasperation. "For goodness sake, look at how badly the Earthling is misunderstanding everything, Lala-sama. Now stopping running away and come back home this instant!"
Lala pouted angrily at the man before stomping. "No! I'm not going home!"
Nodding at her response, Rito grinned. "Yeah, you heard her. She's not... going... back home...?"
Rito then turned around and looked at Lala confusingly and asked. "Um, what does he mean by 'running away'?"
"I've had enough! I don't care about successors!" Lala huffed as she replied. "Everyday is just an one marriage interview after the other! I'm sick of it! Go back and tell Papa so, Maul!"
"But Lala-sama, this is His Majesty's will." Maul protested.
"I don't care what Papa says!" Lala produced a cellphone-like device from her pocket and held it out in front of her.
Upon seeing the device, both men's faces turned to utter fear. "I-It's the princess's D-Dial!"
'Princess? D-Dial?' Rito thought in confusion. However, before he could think of anything else, he watched as Lala hit a button on her cellphone, causing a bright light to come from the screen.
Then, right above them, a giant robotic octopus appeared. It had a large spherical head with tiny tentacles hanging right underneath it. It bore a swirl on its forehead with four small arrows on the outside forming a diamond of sorts.
Unlike the adorable feel Peke gave off, this one brought Rito nothing but foreboding. The terrified reactions of the Devilukeans only served to worsen it.
"Crap! It's one of Lala-sama's inventions! Make a run for it, Smutts!"
"Alright, go Go-Go Vacuum-kun!" Lala declared, pointing at the two retreating aliens. "Suck them up!"
The octopus mecha then activated, sucking everything in front of it into its mouth. As the two Devilukeans tried to get away, Maul accidentally tripped as a ripped away stone hit his leg, which caused Smutts to fall on him, which then led to the two being sucked up by the mecha, screaming all the way.
As he watched the metal monster go to work, Rito's face gained a look of awe. "A-Amazing! You dealt with them so quickly..."
Rito trailed off as the suction began to increase in power as it didn't stop, the mecha octopus continuing to suck up everything around it, the trees, the fence, the ground itself, all being devoured.
"Um... Lala, I think you can turn it off, now!" Rito roared he was nearly lifted off the ground before he stomped his feet hard enough to trap it into the ground, gawking as an entire swing flew into Go-Go Vacuum-kun's mouth. "It's going too far! Hurry up and stop it!"
As she looked at the device in the air, Lala cupped her chin and hummed in thought.
"What's the matter, Lala-sama?"
"Well..." Lala muttered in response to Peke's question as Go-Go Vacuum-kun started to overload. "How do you turn this off, again?"
"Wait-YOU FORGOT HOW TO TURN IT OFF?!" Rito cried out in hysterical shock, his terror increasing when he was finally ripped away from the ground. "Damnit! I hope you don't like this invention too much, Lala!"
Letting himself get dragged close, Rito twisted himself free of the suction and slammed his fist right into the mecha octopus's face. Upon contact with the Go-Go Vacuum-kun, the punch caused the device to shatter and explode, sending everything it had sucked up flying everywhere.
This meant that Rito was no longer in danger of being sucked up. However, this meant that there was nothing holding him up in the air which caused him to fall from fifteen meters in the air right onto the ground.
Screaming all the way down, Rito landed right on his back, hitting the ground hard enough to cause a small crater and groan in pain afterwards. "Ah... It's been years since I felt pain like this... Alien stuff sure is a different grade than Earth stuff..."
Landing next to the grounded pervert, Lala nervously laughed as she rubbed the back of her head. "Sorry, I actually made this one a really long time ago... and I just couldn't remember how to turn it off..."
Rito coughed smoke in response.
"But, thank you, Rito." Lala's face shifted from embarrassment to serenity. "I was really happy when you saved me. The truth is I..."
Unfortunately, this is where Rito fainted from exhaustion, not waking up until hours later in his bed, with a note from Lala next to his head that said that she had left with the men but would soon return.
Later the next morning, Rito grimaced as he walked to school with bandages all over his body. It was a familiar yet unfamiliar experience for Rito, having gone years of never needing them.
"So Lala might come back?" Rito shuddered at the thought. "She's seems like a nice girl, but the utterly casual way she wreaked destruction was no good. What would've happened if that park hadn't been empty? Or if she unleashed that octopus vacuum back home with Mikan downstairs? Or-"
"Good morning, Yuuki-kun."
Rito halted his steps and looked to the side, only to gawk at the sight of Haruna waiting for him. 'H-Haruna-chan?!' "G-Good morning."
"Yuuki-kun, um..." As Haruna approached him, she paused a bit, unsure of how to ask about what she had seen last night. "Last night, on top of the roofs, I saw..."
"U-Um!" Rito cut her off, taking the surprising chance that had appeared before him. The Universe was apologizing, right?! "I... I..." 'Go for it!' "Um... I..."
As Haruna watched Rito speak, she looked up in surprise to see a girl float down between her and Rito. She was going to say something...
"I wanted to tell you, that ever since that day you believed in me despite everything, I've always felt something for you!" However, Rito had bowed right in front of the bubblegum haired girl as he said. "I love you and I want to be with you! So, please go out with me!"
'I finally said it...' Rito thought with some relief. 'The Universe finally gave me a chance!'
Rito opened his eyes and looked up... only to see the excited expression of Lala, clad in her white clothing. "LALA?!"
"So you also feel the same way? So then, the engagement is complete?" Lala exclaimed in joy before jumping and latching onto his neck. "Okay, let's get married, Rito!"
"W-Why are you- Marriage?!" Rito exclaimed, with Haruna herself stunned and unaware of her hijacked confession. "Why have you forsaken me, Univeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese?!"
Because you make it too easy, Rito.
"I see..." The leader muttered as he looked upon his downtrodden subordinates. "So you were unable to handle her yourselves.
"We humbly apologize, Zastin-sama." Maul and Smutts bowed in regret.
"It's fine." Zastin waved them off. "Go and get your wounds treated. I shall go down to Earth next."
As the two hobbled off, Zastin brought up the surveillance drone that had been following their target for a while, watching her cling to the boy that had destroyed the Pyon-Pyon Vacuum-kun. "Goodness, what a troublesome princess..."
KingVessel: Hmm... I think I'm okay with how this came out.
