"The Wind Spirit Yuno" Asta stated confused.
"That is what she claims as she was informed by her master to come look for you. Though she seemed annoyed that she had to do this, however. She did not want to leave her master's side" Nero informs him.
Asta being Asta meant he had no magic or mana at all. He was the complete opposite of someone beloved by mana as it just seemed indifferent to him. He was devoid of it which was actually better than being loath by mana. Mana was not constantly trying to harm him because he was merely devoid of it. While this allowed him to use ant-magic like he does as you as trying to drain an empty vessel will always result in nothing happening. You can not attempt to drain something to zero when they were already at zero to start with. However, this would have led to a problem if Nero had managed to partially counter what was done to everyone else(with Asta's help at the very end though). If she was not around then Asta would have had no one to translate for him as apparently animated statues were able to speak to one another using mana somehow. Not having mana meant that Asta would not be able to pick on this in any way shape or form but Nero could somehow because she was half statue herself.
Why was Yuno now being considered the Wind Spirit and the former one just human size and seemingly human version of herself at the moment? These were questions that both Asta and Nero had as they had no clue as to what was going on at the moment. However, it was clear that something happened in after everyone had turned to stone and then before Asta woke up after being attacked then knocked out by something. Something that Asta seemingly either forgot about or just has not bought but again since he had not said anything about it it happened.
Asta found it interesting that Bell the now former Wind Spirit was complaining as they were heading back to where Yuno was apparently in the direction of the capital. It was they both Asta and Nero found out something during this journey that they were being taken on.
While everyone with mana was turned to stone there were:
Some that were turned to stone and remained as statues frozen in the instant before the event happened
Some were now animated statues like those that were now part of Asta's grimoire (Nero, Noelle, Mimosa, Rebbeca, and Henry)
Some were apparently like Bell who were answering to another as their master
Some who were considered a master happened to be
Then there was the final type that Asta and Nero had managed to figure out at least on their own given their limited information. That was there were those that were hostile to everyone that was not one of them. This was why Bell did not use her magic to just take them back to where Yuno was or at least that was what the two of them thought at first. Bell did not have any magic at all as she was just an animated statue that followed Yuno and looked confused whenever her magic was brought up. Asta seemingly played this up as what caused Nero to think that she and Scere were two separate people rather than just herself at two different points in her life. It was also affecting Bell in a similar way as she seemingly fully forgot that she was once the Wind Spirit herself.
It was here that Henry proved the most useful as using him to summon a single room large enough to house him, Bell, and Asta. It did not have to be completely hidden either just not literally out in the open for everyone to see. Like, set it up in an open area where the room would be the only thing that was around in the general area. No this was someone that it could fit and you would not normally expect anyone to be thus no one would look over there. Also being influenced by Asta's anti magic the same as the other that was now a part of his grimoire. This also gave some anti magic properties thus making it less detectable by anyone who used mana.
"So Bell tell me more about Yuno" Asta asked.
Then he realized that he would not be able to understand Bell at the moment anyway since he was using Henry at the moment. As Nero was in her stone anti bird form on his head he could only use one of them properly at the moment. Thus to use Henry he had to stop using Nero who does not return to his grimoire but instead assumes the small form she already had. Noelle and Mimosa also have their versions of Nero's anti bird form (there's a small dragon and a vine).
When he looked over to Bell she was motionless as she was not moving at all. Asta then waved a hand in front of her face but she did not react and/or respond to anything he did. Then he realized that maybe being in this room cut her off from whatever magic was animating her at the moment. If she was under Yuno then it was possibly his magic that was animating her but inside Henry's room like this, she was cut off from that source of magic. Resulting in her just being a normal statue that can not move he could not realize this soon since the only ones he ever had in this version of Henry's house were himself and the others who were already a part of his grimoire.
