Bowser Jr.'s Million-Coin Gamble
The massive throne room of Bowser's Castle had been transformed into a glowing arena, complete with flashing lights, roaring crowds, and stacks of gleaming coins. Bowser Jr. sat at the center of it all, eyes narrowed in concentration as he stared at the two dice in front of him. This was his moment—the tenth and final round of the hit TV dice game Cho Han.
He had already made it through nine nerve-wracking rounds, slowly building his fortune. 500,000 coins sat in front of him, the result of bold guesses and gut instinct. But now, it all came down to one last roll. One correct guess, and he'd be walking away with a cool one million coins. One wrong guess, though, and he'd lose most of it, leaving with only 50,000 guaranteed from an earlier round.
Lakitu, the floating host of the show, hovered nearby, mic in hand, his ever-present smile shining bright under the castle's fiery lights. The crowd had quieted down now, waiting for Jr.'s final decision. The tension was palpable.
"Alright, Jr., this is it," Lakitu's voice echoed through the cavernous room. "One last guess will determine your fate. You've come so far—nine rounds, five hundred thousand coins, and now… the moment of truth."
The crowd murmured, restless in anticipation. Lakitu glanced at Bowser Jr. with a knowing look and asked, "Before you make your decision, how are you feeling right now? You're just one roll away from a million coins, but the stakes have never been higher. What's going through your mind?"
Bowser Jr. leaned back in his seat, taking a deep breath. He glanced at the audience, then back at Lakitu.
"You know, Lakitu," he started, rubbing the back of his neck with a sheepish grin. "This whole game has been a rollercoaster. At first, I was just thinking about the money—who wouldn't, right? One million coins would let me buy all the cool stuff I want. But as I've made it through each round, I realized… it's more than just the coins. It's the thrill of the game."
He straightened up, glancing toward the camera, knowing millions were watching at home. "Winning isn't everything. Sure, I'd love to walk away with a million coins, but if I don't, that's okay too. What really matters is that I gave it my best shot, I stayed true to myself, and I had a blast doing it."
The crowd cheered, Lakitu nodding appreciatively at the heartfelt speech. Jr. smiled, feeling a bit lighter after speaking his mind.
"That's the spirit of a true gamer," Lakitu said, hovering closer to the table with the dice. "But now… it's time to make your final call. Will the total on these two dice be even or odd?"
Bowser Jr.'s eyes shifted back to the dice. This was it—the moment he had been working toward all game. His heart pounded, but he forced himself to stay calm. One last guess. One last roll.
He closed his eyes for a second, letting the weight of his decision settle.
"I'm going with… odd," he said firmly, opening his eyes with a determined smile.
Lakitu's eyebrows raised in excitement as the audience gasped and murmured. "Odd it is! You've made your choice, Jr. Now, it's time to roll the dice and see if your gamble pays off!"
The lights in the room dimmed dramatically, the once roiling audience going dead silent. All that could be heard was the distant bubbling of lava and the occasional crackle of fire from Bowser's Castle's immense walls. The dice sat, motionless, on the table, gleaming under a single spotlight.
Lakitu raised his hand toward the audience. "Alright, everyone at home and in the audience, this is your moment too! On my count, when I say 'ROLL,' we'll need everyone to say it with me! That's when Bowser Jr. will throw the dice!"
The crowd tensed, the energy in the room becoming almost unbearable. Bowser Jr. took the dice in his hand, feeling their weight, his pulse quickening as he prepared to make the final roll.
"One…"
The sound of Lakitu's voice reverberated in the stillness. Everyone held their breath. Jr.'s hand tightened around the dice.
"Two…"
Lakitu's voice seemed to stretch through the air, pulling the tension tighter and tighter. Jr. felt the entire weight of the room focused on him.
"THREE!"
"ROLL!" the audience bellowed, their voices echoing through the castle's stone walls.
With a swift motion, Bowser Jr. rolled the dice, watching as they tumbled across the table. They clattered with a rhythmic sound, bouncing once, twice, three times, before slowly coming to a halt.
The audience was dead silent once more. Lakitu floated down, eyes wide, hovering over the table to see the final result. The cameras zoomed in as the dice revealed their numbers.
A four on the first die.
A three on the second.
The total: seven.
"ODD!" Lakitu shouted, his voice booming through the arena. "Bowser Jr. guessed right—he wins ONE MILLION COINS!"
The room exploded with noise. Confetti rained down, fireworks shot up from the sides of the stage, and the audience erupted into cheers as coins began to pour from massive vaults around the room. Bowser Jr. stood frozen for a second, unable to believe it—he had done it! He had won the million coins!
The young Koopa jumped up in pure excitement, throwing his fists into the air as a mountain of coins cascaded around him. Lakitu flew up beside him, laughing and cheering, raising Jr.'s arm in triumph.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the champ—Bowser Jr., our newest millionaire!"
Jr. couldn't stop grinning, his heart pounding from the excitement. He had done it—not just for the coins, but for himself. And, as he looked out over the cheering crowd and the flashing lights, he knew this would be a moment he'd remember forever. A victory earned with both luck and heart.
As the fireworks illuminated the dark skies above Bowser's Castle, Bowser Jr. let himself get lost in the moment, knowing he'd achieved something truly special.
