There will mostly be character interactions and another Scales of Conviction voting segment, here. Also, I probably should mention that there will eventually be spoilers for the Liberty and conviction endgame routes.

Preparation

The rest of the day was spent making further possible preparations before retiring for the evening. True to her word and following Minister Lyla's instruction, Milo primarily kept an eye on Serenoa during training, even joining Roland, Serenoa, Frederica, Alexandra, Cordelia, Caeden, Benedict and Avlora for dinner that evening. The Dancer was content with working with Serenoa, despite how incredibly daring their revolution is.

At breakfast time the next morning, Serenoa, Frederica, Roland, Caeden, Alexandra, Maxwell, Beneidict, Anna, Avlora, Hughette, Cordelia and Milo sat in the dining hall at Whiteholm Castle, enjoying a meal consisting of bread with butter, cheese and fruit. The rest of their comrades had either gone out to the nearest tavern for breakfast or otherwise were at their homes. Though Roland and Hughette were still somewhat wary around Avlora, they decided to trust Cordelia and Serenoa's judgment and allow the former general to remain in their presence.

The group made some small, casual talk together as they ate, some more than others, as Anna generally didn't socialize much.

"Caeden" Serenoa addressed the former Aesfrost soldier"I've been giving this some thought, there may be some merit to freeing Aesfrost from Hyzante's grip so that we may reforge the Death Knell, I don't know if its going to be possible for Roland to maintain the illusion of being a loyal member of the Saintly Seven with Minister Exharme on to us."

"It was just an idea, it would also be slow going" Caeden shrugged.

"You mean to see Aesfrost restored?" Avlora asked, curiously"Even if we can do that, the Aesfrost family line has nearly died out, which I hardly need to remind you."

"I have to agree" Frederica said, solemnly"And I do not expect, nor wish to become Archduchess of a fallen country. But perhaps we can annex Aesfrost into Glenbrook and appoint a Regent."

"Right now, we lack sufficient forces to do much of anything" Benedict said, pointedly"We should perhaps seriously consider accepting Minister Exharme's proposal for the time being."

Serenoa nodded as he finished a bite of bread"I'm still torn on the subject, myself. But it may be our best move."

"It goes against my pride, but we should exploit whatever advantages we may have" Avlora said, thoughtfully"What was his proposition?"

"He asked us to join forces in order to bring a new order to Hyzante" Serenoa replied"If we refuse, or we rush into war with insufficient troops and supplies, we could be in big trouble, even with our advantages at Wolffort and here in Whiteholm."

The members of the group who weren't present when the deal was made were surprised to hear this. Maxwell took the time to say his piece"At this point, it wouldn't be wise to refuse to accept help, no matter where it comes from."

"I agree" Avlora nodded"We barely started training with the militiamen, and the greenhorns who signed up in the new Kingsguard. And the few Hyzantian soldiers on our side, who I understand are captained by Carth, can only handle so much."

"I am hesitant to even trust that guy" Hughette said"We have fought alongside him a couple of times before, yes, but we don't know what his motives are."

Serenoa nodded, thoughtfully"We'll go to the throne room and decide whether we accept Minister Exharme's aid or not." They had left the Scales of Conviction at the throne room under the watchful eye of the guards.

The group finished breakfast and started heading for the throne room. Serenoa addressed Anna on the way"How are the townspeople taking the truth about Hyzante's deception?"

The spy replied"According to what I witnessed during my rounds early this morning, there were a few who couldn't believe they had been deceived. The ones who accepted it as the truth were disappointed and opinionated about you and Minister Roland falling for the Holy State's deception."

"That's what I was afraid would happen, but they haven't lost trust in us completely, right?" Roland asked.

"Not yet" Anna shook her head"Julio and Scholar Clement are doing what they can to ensure your and Lord Serenoa's reputation have not suffered too terribly. And the news spread to Wolffort. The couple who partook in the ridiculing of the Sect even wish to apologize to Lady Frerderica for not taking her seriously."

"It was not their fault, Hyzante's lies had a very tight hold on them" Frederica responded, surprised to hear this"I didn't have any real evidence of what I was trying to tell everyone, except for my mother's diary. I couldn't even tell anyone who I was."

"I must admit that I was responsible for putting you in that situation, Frederica" Serenoa added, a twinge of guilt in his voice"I could say I did what I had to do to end the war with as much benefit to the whole of Norzelia as possible. But anything I can say would seem like hardly more than an excuse."

"But now we have a chance to make things right, together" Frederica gave him a small smile"And just so that you know, I had already forgiven you the very moment I left House Wolffort. I couldn't bring myself to despise you for following Roland's plan. Even though I was vexed at your decision."

"You would have had every right to shun me completely for disregarding your people's plight, which in turn meant that it was no longer possible to guarantee Jerrome and his fellow villagers' freedom" Serenoa assured his former betrothed"But now, we are in this, together."

Frederica nodded in agreement"Let us hope we both make it through this."

Roland silently admitted to himself as he listened to the pair's conversation that he had not meant to cause Frederica to leave House Wolffort, he should not have caused that wrong to be done to Serenoa and Frederica, however inadvertently and indirect it was since it was Serenoa's choice to follow the plan to let Hyzante take over.

The group entered the throne room and prepared the Scales of Conviction. Cordelia handed her token to Frederica"I thought you might want to have this."

"Thank you" Frederica nodded"But is this really okay?"

"I trust all of you" Serenoa spoke on their behalf"Although, there are only enough tokens of conviction for seven people." He then looked at Benedict"How is Erador?" He would not start until their Shieldbearer came.

"He went to patrol the town, plus, he and Hossabara had been courting, lately" Benedict replied.

"Hope I didn't keep you all waiting!" The Shieldbearer entered the throne room.

"You are right on time, Erador" Serenoa assured him, and then turned his attention to everyone else"We have another important decision to make. Do we accept Minister Exharme's offer and join him in the battle for a new order in Norzelia, or do we refuse? Personally, I would like him on our side, but what does everyone else think?"

Frederica was a bit concerned"It seemed almost too good to be true. Why would he want to help us with our revolution? He is a loyal member of the Saintly Seven, isn't he?"

"I don't know myself, Frederica" The Consul replied"But if he was truly loyal, he would've ordered our arrest on the spot. Still, I can't deny the possibility he may have some sort of ulterior motive."

"Perhaps he wants to use us" Frederica supplied"It wouldn't be the first time that happened, the late Minister Sorsley was the same way, as I'm sure you all remember. Logically, under different circumstances, we would report Minister Exharme for his potential duplicity. But under the present circumstances, we can't do that without revealing our intentions to Kamsell, Idore and the Hierophant."

"Lady Frederica is correct" said Alexandra"Still, the best way to counter a larger army is by turning at least one other Saintly Seven member on the others."

Serenoa nodded, thoughtfully, then replied"Even so, we would have a much better chance with his troops and supplies. Even if it turns out to be a trap of some sort, we can prepare ourselves for such an eventuality. I share your concern, Frederica, but could you give it some thought?"

"I will" The fire mage nodded.

"Depending on the meeting place for giving Exharme a reply, we may be able to come up with a contingency plan to get ourselves away from him if it turns out his intentions are deceitful" Benedict added"Lord Serenoa, I think it would be best to accept Minister Exharme's proposal."

"You may be right about that, Benedict" Serenoa nodded"We can discover his motives at a later date, should we accept. We can give him the benefit of the doubt and also be prepared for any possible sign of foul play."

Benedict inclined his head in agreement"Then if we decide to accept, at least we would have a better fighting chance against the Hierophant's loyalists and possibly have the manpower to reclaim the Duchy for our Asfrosti comrades. Exharme may seek to use us, as Lady Frederica suggested, but we can use him in turn."

Geela took a moment to say her piece"I share Frederica's concerns on the matter. Also, Hyzante has stifled our freedom to conduct research and restricted how much knowledge we can gleam. Since Exharme did intend to destroy the Aesfrosti Archives at the Holy One's orders, which Lord Svarog did in his state of despair, we can't be certain that he will grant Norzelia anymore freedom than the current Hierophant."

"That may be so, but even though I don't trust Exharme, its better than having him attack us while we are still in the midst of preparing to fight" Serenoa asserted"He may end up just being a temporary ally, but I realize we would stand a better chance this way. Besides, Hyzante will surely falter with most of its Saintly Seven divided."

"There is merit in that" Geela conceded"Even Kamsell should have great difficulty maintaining order in the city if it works out. I shall reevaluate my opinion on the matter."

Erador crossed his arms in thought"That Exharme is quite the cheeky whelp, blackmailing us like that. I say we knock him off his high horse, Lord Serenoa. Besides, we still have Benedict's strategies to fall back on if we need them."

"That may be true, Erador, but let's think of it this way" Serenoa suggested"Even if we could defeat Exharme now, we don't know how many troops would remain who are commanded by Ministers Kamsell and Idore. Minister Lyla would also be sure to have elite soldiers under her command, and we're not sure where her loyalties truly lie. We could possibly exhaust our current military strength just fighting against Exharme."

"I see your point, lad. Just give a bit of time to think about it, some." Erador requested.

"Anna" Serenoa addressed the white haired scout, next"Do you have any thoughts you'd be willing to share? As much as I am reluctant to, our best option would be to accept Minister Exharme's offer."

Anna nodded"Just like our prior debate on whether or not to help the Sect, both decisions have their downsides. I heard your reasoning wishing to accept Exharme's proposal, which is sound. We would be just as foolish to turn him down, but would decrease the likelihood of walking into a trap. Do you believe that this is the correct course of action?"

"Yes" Serenoa replied"Since Kamsell also commands a regiment, we can't wear ourselves down to the point where we cannot possibly face Kamsell or Lyla's forces. Idore is also to be sure to have soldiers at his disposal."

"There is truth to that" Anna agreed"I will wait and see what everyone else thinks of the matter."

Hughette spoke, next"Exharme's motives are still unclear, we would be wise to err on the side of caution."

"I agree, but I would be putting us in greater danger if I don't accept" Serenoa pointed out"Plus, we need all the help we can get."

"It is hard to argue with that logic" Hughette conceded"Just remember that you're not a mere Consul, you are the King of Glenbrook, in all but name. I am sworn to serve the royal family as Roland's retainer, yes, but your safety is also my priority. Still, I suppose it would be foolish of me to not take into account all of the upsides and downsides of both options."

Roland spoke, next"Minister Exharme did seem like a decent man, even if he had no qualms on following whatever order the Hierophant gives him. But if he is not sincere in his desire to help make Norzelia better, we could probably stop him if he betrays us, or if his intentions aren't as benevolent as he says they are. Are we to take him up on his offer, then?"

"We are" Serenoa said"I would not be contemplating it if I was not confident we can stop him if he turns out to be treacherous."

"Then I have no more to say on the matter" Roland stated.

After further deliberation with everyone else, Serenoa stood near the scales"Now is the time to render a decision."

Frederica stepped forward, first"My faith is with you, Lord Serenoa." She added a token.

Roland put in his token, next"We'd be crazy to think that Exharme would really betray the Hierophant, but I decided I will place my faith in your decision, Serenoa."

"I will support you and Roland as best I can" Hughette said, putting her token in the same spot as Roland and Frederica's.

Benedict stepped forward, next"I will trust that it is the correct choice."

"Your thoughts on the matter have merit" Anna added her token.

Erador stepped forward"You are as trusting as ever, lad. But I like that about you." He added his token.

Geela stepped forward next to add her token"It would be more logical to refuse to accept, but I believe that this course of action to accept Exharme's offer is correct, Lord Serenoa."

The scales tilted, and Serenoa announced"It has been decided, we will accept Minister Exharme's offer of aid in the fight to change Norzelia for the better, for the time being."

"I will send our reply," said Anna.

"Ser Maxwell, Flanagan, I want to establish our encampment away from Whiteholm, but close to the Wolffort Demense for the time being, we can have Exharme meet us, there" Serenoa instructed.

Maxwell nodded"Consider it done."

"Roland, Avlora, Hughette, could you help see to the soldiers' training?" Serenoa asked"I don't expect anyone to forget what happened in the past, but trust and cooperation are essential if we are to maintain a unified front against Hyzante's loyalists."

Roland was uncomfortable about the idea of working so closely with Avlora, but he now understood the importance of setting his feelings aside for the greater good"Very well."

"If you say so" Hughette nodded, keeping a neutral tone, despite her misgivings about the arrangement.

"I am honored to assist" Avlora said.

"I will join them in case they need my white magic" said Cordelia.

"And what of the defense team we have stationed at Wolffort Village?" Geela asked.

"I will have Travis, Trish and Daren join the encampment. The veteran Wolffort soldiers, there can provide an adequate defense. I plan to send messages to Narve, Corentin, Julio, Ezana, Hossabara, Jens, Lionel, Archibald and Piccoletta, requesting their presence at the encampment." Benedict stated"I already requested the aid of Quahaug, Carth, Jerrom and whatever troops that Jerrom managed to rally together."

Serenoa was still not too comfortable putting Narve, Quahaug and Piccoletta in danger, but he couldn't deny that their talents and spells are useful"I'm going outside to clear my head and check on how the people are faring." He looked at the fire mage"Frederica, would you care to join me?"

"Certainly" Frederica nodded.

After Anna left to deliver their response, and Serenoa left with Frederica with Caeden and Milo joining them just in case, Roland and his group spent the next few hours training the new soldiers for the upcoming civil war.

After the training session, Roland elected to speak with Avlora, Hughette and Cordelia. The former king looked at Avlora, somewhat warily"This joint exercise went smoothly, I daresay."

"Indeed" Hughette grunted.

Avlora had remained professional throughout the training exercises so as not to upset Roland or Hughette, but now that the task is done, she turned her attention to the former king"While I do not expect to earn your forgiveness, I must say that I am grateful for this opportunity to work with you."

"Truthfully, I have my doubts" Roland grunted"Why exactly have you returned, anyway?"

"I owe it to Princess Cordelia, once I regained my memories after nearly dying, I felt I should return to her side. Especially after hearing what had happened, recently." The former general replied"We came to respect each other due to our... Similarities."

"What do you mean?" Hughette asked.

Avlora cringed at the reminder of her difficult history"I was orphaned by war, Lord Svarog had taken me in. I worked long and hard, rising up the ranks of the hierarchy until I came general. After war had broken out and I had met her majesty, I could not help but be reminded of who I once was."

"Even so, you still attacked our kingdom" Hughette scowled, bitterly"I don't care if Lord Sereno trusts you, you killed many of my comrades."

"It was during a time of war, such a thing is only natural" the former general shrugged.

Roland clenched a hand at the reminder of his other brother, Frani and their father's deaths. He even thought Maxwell had perished after he had been defeated by Avlora"Is that how you justify yourself?"

"I do not expect to earn your forgiveness" Avlora replied, solemnly"Even now, redemption is the only thing I seek."

Cordelia, who had kept quiet until now, walked up to her"While the people feel nothing but fear and contempt towards you, look not to us, but to them for answers as to how you might help change things for the better."

"It is as my sister says" Roland added"But if you are to venture into town at some point, you best have Hughette, myself and Cordelia join you as we help to safeguard Glenbrook's subjects and ensure that all is well."

Avlora nodded, thoughtfully"I will do that eventually, then. But first, we have a war to win against Hyzante, correct? I swear that I will not leave Princess Cordelia's side as I protect her in the meanwhile."

"You would willingly serve the former royal family as a guard, then?" Roland asked.

"If its permissible" Avlora replied, calmly"I already decided I would help you, Cordelia and Serenoa to win Glenbrook's sovereignty back, however I can."

"At least you're on the right track if you are really going to make amends, I suppose" Hughette grunted.

Roland didn't feel he trusted Avlora enough to remain close to his sister, but her and Cordelia's words have merit, even if he couldn't bring himself to admit it. After a moment's pause, he said"Avlora, I challenge you to a sparring session." After this awkward little conversation, he felt like he needed to vent a little.

"I daresay a little more practice wouldn't hurt" Avlora nodded.

Hughette reluctantly stood back along with Cordelia as the two blond fighters readied their weapons.

"At your ready" Avlora said.

Roland nodded and opened with a jab of his spear. Avlora dodged and swung back with her sword. Roland jumped to the side and rushed the former general, who simply side stepped and darted backwards before going in for a vertical swing. Roland narrowly dodged and charged, driving his opponent back.

"I see you are a bit rusty, even in a mock battle" Avlora commented as she dodged.

"Well, we have been at peace for a year. Not even bandits were much of a concern because of the way Hyzante kept the peace. I only had to fight at least twice when Serenoa and I decided to turn on the Heirophant" Roland shrugged"And you're still as formidable as ever, I see."

Avlora waited for Roland to get back into a defensive stance before moving in for another strike. Roland parried, pushing her back before thrusting again. Avlora dodged, slashing vertically to drive Roland back.

As the two kept sparring, Roland started to tire, so he put his weapon away"I suppose you won this round."

"Well, I had spent the last few months training the militia at the border village near Aesfrost" Avlora said"I had plenty of opportunities to practice my swordsmanship. I gather from what you said that you didn't have many bandit troubles."

"Indeed, we didn't Hughette confirmed"Hyzante was very thorough in bringing order to the whole of Norzelia. We had not anticipated the need to fight, since then."

"Shall we go to town and see what there is to be done, then?" Cordelia suggested.

Roland nodded, though he was a bit reluctant to let Avlora stay so close to them.

Serenoa, Frederica, Caeden and Milo stopped at the tavern for lunch after checking in with everyone in town. Most of those who had learned of the truth through Clement's efforts and accepted it kept quiet out of respect, but there were a fair few who felt betrayed and disappointed, even openly questioning the strength of Serenoa's convictions.

"The people didn't seem quite as pleased to see you." Milo commented.

"Since I was responsible for allowing Hyzante to spread their lies to Glenbrook, I expected that" The Consul replied as he ordered some soup for himself.

Frederica ordered soup as well and the two sat at the nearest table. Milo and Caeden were still getting their lunch ordered. The Fire Mage looked her her former betrothed, thoughtfully"Well, at least you're as honest as always. It must have been a busy year since we parted, that day when you made that choice."

"A town crier who we passed earlier looked like she was about to spout nonsense, Lord Serenoa" Milo informed as she joined them with her own bowl of soup"So, I taught her a lesson."

Serenoa looked horrified"You didn't-"

"No worries, I did no lasting harm" Milo assured him"Though she might feel sick to her stomach for a while."

"Hoo boy, remind me never to tick you off" Caeden commented at Milo as he sat with them with his portion of soup.

"I jest, I jest" Milo laughed"It would have only worsened Lord Serenoa's reputation, Caeden. I merely suggested that the crier turn her attention to Wolffort to spread the word of Idore's deception."

Serenoa was accustomed to Milo occasionally toying with him, although she could still grate on his nerves a little bit. He took a breath to recompose himself before addressing Frederica"It has been a very busy time, indeed. Even at peace, there was much I needed to attend to in Whiteholm and Wolffort."

"I see, Caeden, Daren and I spent a part of our time traveling, we didn't have that many funds to our name" Frederica responded after a bite of her soup"Travis, Trish and their gang joined us shortly after, along with Rudolph and some other mercenaries. We tried our best to spread the word of Hyzante's deception as I said. Lady Alexandra was kind enough to listen when we met after a month or two after Hyzante took over the whole continent."

"Yeah, it wasn't easy. I wanted to pound some of the hecklers who threw rocks at us, knowing that Frederica is the last remaining member of the Ducal family of Aesfrost, but I thought better of it" Caeden said, he hated that Frederica was dismissed as crazy during most of their attempts to spread the story of Centrallia.

They finished their meal in silence and paid before leaving the tavern and were about to go to the Wolffort Demense to check on things when they saw Roland and his group come from the direction of the castle.

"Roland, how was training?" Serenoa asked.

"It went pretty well" Roland replied.

Avlora was still getting wary and disdainful looks from the nearby townspeople who saw her, but she ignored that in order to remain professional"Cordelia suggested that I try to speak with the people to see what I can do to make amends."

"Well, there's bound to be some rubble the needs clearing or bandit attacks" said Serenoa"Perhaps if we help the townspeople with whatever troubles they encounter, it might help your reputation a little, Avlora."

"Shall we work together?" Frederica suggested.

"That sounds like a plan" Roland nodded.

At the barracks in Hyzante, Exharme was speaking with Lyla, who had some doubts about his plan when he told her. The Minister of Medicine spoke as respectfully as she could"I wish I could help you or Minister Serenoa, but it would be too brazen."

"You've done plenty for the time being" Exharme assured her"I am sure that your spy is keeping a keen eye on the situation in Whiteholm."

"I suppose" Lyla conceded. She had a personal reason for worrying about how volatile things are becoming over in Glenbrook, but she couldn't trust even Exharme with the knowledge of her relation to Quahaug, the boy who was in Serenoa's care during the war, last year."And I suppose since Serenoa and Roland might be betraying the Heirophant, the Saintly Seven will no longer seem as united as the people in this city think."

"We are already divided" Exharme pointed out"Minister Idore and the Heirophant evidently underestimated the integrity of Consul Serenoa and Minister Roland. And while I had intended to abandon my own ambition, I can hardly see why I cannot endeavor to change Norzelia under these circumstances."

"I can see why you would trust me, I've no evidence that I can use against you" Lyla said, dryly"It would be your word against mine."

"Even if you did have evidence, the conflict would only escalate" Exharme stated"Some of my troops are beginning to doubt the Hierophant's power to maintain stability throughout the continent. It was rather easy to keep the peace when we had not annexed Glenbrook and Aesfrost. Roland should have kept his crown, so I wouldn't have to bother cleaning up Idore's mess. Never mind that we hadn't known that Serenoa or Roland could grow discontent with the way things are in Norzelia, at present."

"I will keep this hush-hush, but besides this, I don't have the luxury of choosing a side" Lyla said.

"Are you sure?" Exharme asked, curious"You didn't hesitate to confront me about my plan."

Lyla firmly nodded"Even if civil war breaks out, someone has to keep providing medicine for both the civilians and the troops and overseeing the ministry of medicine." She hoped that Exharme wasn't going to pry into her affairs and she didn't have his, Serenoa or Roland's courage.

A soldier came into the room"Minister Exharme, we have a message from Minister Serenoa. Curiously though, the letter bears the old seal of Glenbrook."

"Hm? Bring it to me" Exharme ordered.

The soldier nodded and handed the letter to Exharme.

The light brown haired minister read the letter"This was quicker than I expected. I know Serenoa and his tactician, Benedict to be very careful." he commented.

Lyla paused, turning"What is it?"

Exharme read through Serenoa's reply thoroughly"He chose wisely."

"Is it from Serenoa?" Lyla asked, wanting to confirm.

"It is" Exharme replied, calmly"And I thought you had no intention of choosing a side."

Lyla started to realize that she can't remain neutral if Hyzante, no, all of Norzelia is falling back into chaos, and that is adding to the fact that Quahaug might be in danger of having his powers exploited by Exharme and possibly Idore. In an effort to maintain a strong front, she responded"I just want to know what Serenoa is doing."

"I do not know the full extent of his plan, but his will coincides with mine, for now" Exharme replied, smugly"He is preparing troops for a grand cause, which I assume is to make changes to the whole of Norzelia, once again."

Lyla was flabbergasted"After he went to the trouble of handing over the Salt Crystals to the Holy One, last year? That is tantamount to not only treason, but he is practically declaring a civil war unto the holy state Capital. He couldn't be more reckless if he tried."

"What do you intend to do now that you know?" Exharme asked, calmly.

"Until now, I never reflected on my conduct, my own sins being why I cannot betray Idore, directly" said Lyla, resolutely"At least that is what I keep telling myself. Exharme, I will message Medina and ask her to help provide extra medicine for your troops and Serenoa's cause. That is all I feel safe doing."

Exharme nodded, understandingly"You may not have shared the same courage as I or any of our other ministers, but I know that deep down, you are a good woman. I will let you know whether or not we will need to use aelfric, so that you need not worry about attracting suspicion from Minister Kamsell or Minister Idore. You may tell them that I am in the midst of doing away with those responsible for this new upcoming chaos."

'That's rich, coming from you' Lyla thought, but didn't dare say out loud. She had a feeling that Exharme is not as benevolent as he makes himself out to be, he would take all the credit for any changes he might make. Instead, she replied"I will give them that message."

Exharme nodded, satisfied before turning his attention back to the soldier who brought him the letter"Take the letter and burn it so that Kamsell won't discover anything suspicious. And let Serenoa know that I am coming to provide troops and supplies." He would decide his next move, from there.

How was it? I wanted Lyla to have an active role in the fic, but didn't want to make her too OOC. And I might have had Roland and Hughette be a bit too trusting of Avlora. I couldn't resist having a bit more fun with Milo, by the way. Though I don't usually include her in my active party outside of when she's required in-game. And I've yet to think of what to do with Kamsell besides having him eventually be killed. Also, I don't know how Avlora would fully redeem herself, here.

I kind of want Idore to ultimately be the bigger villain, but it feels a bit redundant when canonically, he is the final boss of two of the game's routes. I already have Exharme as a possible key antagonist. We'll have to see.
