Melone71009: "Tank you"

You're welcome!

NaraShadow: "praise the log!"

Praise the log!?

That guest lol: "O... so bro can just revive?... damn, I got so worked up over that! But seriously, Adam can revive and has died multiple times prior? How doesn't he get ptsd (well if he doesn't have enough as it is then he'll get some in Shibuya if it even happens)?

By the way, I really like MacaroonLover's idea about a lagging skill. I even imagine how he could create a skill that lags attacks if Yuji tells him about his lagging cursed energy attacks at the beginning of cannon. I think it's an awesome idea.

As for ships... I think it's a cool idea to add one but personally I have nothing to offer."

Haha, I can sense your disappointment through the screen! Don't worry though, everything has a purpose. It may seem underwhelming now, but can assure you, it'll be used for some more than fun stuff later.

Adam has died multiple times prior, and since it probably won't be addressed in the story, I can confirm that number is 11; the means of death will probably be hinted at, but I'll let you draw your own conclusions when the time comes. He definitely has PTSD, but I doubt you will see much of it unless he interacts with one of his family members; which I doubt will happen, considering they're all in England.

Shibuya will happen, I can confirm it now; not because I'm currently writing it, but because I have it planned out in my mind.

The lagging skill is tough to figure out, since giving Adam teleportation of some kind to mimic rubber banding sounds a bit busted; it will probably just be a diversion tactic where Adam separates his cursed energy from himself to make it seem like he is somewhere else. But I'll keep your idea in mind just in case I find a way to make it work.

Edit for after I've finished editing the chapter, I found a way.

No idea on what to do for ships; I've never written real romance before, so I'm just going to wing it when somebody gives me a good enough idea for a ship between characters.

That guest lol: "BTW, the guest below me is me... hehe

Ps. Any recommendations for music while reading?"

You should really make an actual account you stay logged into lol.

Funny that you mention music, considering that's the subject of my question at the end of the chapter this week!

I usually switch between Japanese and English songs while reading, solely depending on what type of material I'm reading. If its sad, BoyWithUke, if its hype, Man With a Mission, if its fun, INOHA.

Runelt99: "Adam: I can revive 5 times!

Sukuna: so that means I just need to kill you 4 times to treat this seriously?

Adam: Damnit should have said I can come back twice so they don't expect me to survive!"

That'd be a funny interaction, but I doubt Adam will throw all his cards on the table while talking with a person he's going to fight; since he can't use Revealing One's Hand just yet (the binding vow) there isn't really a point to doing so either.

Not to spoil too much, but you may see an interaction like this later on.

JacobGrey: "Damn been busy with work and haven't had a chance to read this since chapter 5 but holy shit this story is coming together nicely, good job, one question i have is how far are we from the canon timeline ?"

I'm glad you think so! I'm also quite proud of how far its gotten, and my writing has definitely improved from those first few chapters. For the canon timeline question, chapter 22 is the first time you see Itadori.

Discipline01: "Emotional Gojo, what a novelty. Great chapter!"

It is a novelty, and I'm so glad about how it turned out! Thank you for your compliments, and I hope you enjoy this chapter as well.

Guest: "holy shit this garbage was boring as hell. the mc is a retard"

Total snoozefest man, at least have the balls to make an account so I can see what you write yourself and shit on that. PSA for all of you out there, if you aren't going to give real criticism, like a gripe with the story or tips for me, then don't bother writing a negative review. The moron above this paragraph still went through the effort of reading close to 100k words just to complain, but clearly didn't have the reading comprehension necessary to point out an actual flaw with the work.

As an example, I'll give you a few flaws right now!

Unnecessary angst; The first few chapters had a bit of this, and I'm sure it turned off quite a few people. I'll be sure to rewrite it later when I feel like it.

Out of character canon characters; I'm not very good at sticking to traditional personalities for characters, and it is a completely valid criticism when you say that characters just don't feel right. My Fushigoro is an amazing example of this.

Fluctuating quality: Some chapters are written well, while others contain little to no direction or description.

Those are just a few off the top of my head.

Now that the ramble is over, please enjoy the chapter!

"Like I said, you don't need to worry about it; I'm not." Adam repeated for the third time. Fushigoro, who was studying at the dining room table outside of the kitchen, glared at him in annoyance.

"And like I said, it's precisely because you don't worry about it that I do." The boy replied in frustration. "How the hell am I not supposed to worry when you have a hole going through not just the front of your shirt, but the back and the back of your coat!? You look like you got stabbed by a pole right through the chest!" Adam, who was still wearing his ruined uniform, rolled his eyes at the boy's exclamations.

"It's nothing big, and I'm completely fine, as you can see." While swinging around the filled pan in his hand, Adam twirled in place to show off his healed body.

"Then how did your clothes get ripped? I know you went to the nurse before this, so don't bullshit me." Fushigoro put down the pen in his hand and strode over to the kitchen to block his friend's potential escape.

Adam rolled his eyes once again while placing his pan back on the heated stove. "We go to the nurse after every mission, it's normal procedure."

"I know Gojo let you fight it, so don't try and convince me you weren't going up against a special grade curse and came out without an injury." Fushigoro replied.

"Ah, but as you can see, I did come out without an injury." He gestured to the unblemished skin under his shirt. "Stay mad Fushigoro, your anger fuels me."

"I'm not angry." Fushigoro growled in frustration. "I just want to know what happened.

"Food is ready." Adam ignored the boy's request while turning off the stove. "How many more meals before my side of the bet is complete?" Fushigoro huffed in annoyance before grabbing a pair of bowls and beginning to fill them with rice.

"2 more days, technically it should be 4, but I'm starting to get annoyed with how low the quality is." Fushigoro smirked at his friend's newly begun argument before plating up his food and walking away. Eventually, Adam gave up on arguing and took a seat at the table opposite his friend.

"The mission really wasn't too bad, I'd tell you about it if it wasn't classified." He eventually admitted, regaining the attention his friend had diverted towards his homework. "Some stuff happened, but it ended up alright in the end, so it doesn't really matter no–"

"It does. It really does." Fushigoro interrupted. "The journey means just as much as the destination, you can't ignore how you got somewhere just because you got there."

Adam waved his chopsticks around lazily in a circle, "yeah, yeah, that doesn't really apply here because I was doing something good."

"It still does. Even if your end goal is good, how you go about achieving it must also be morally good for it to truly be considered a 'good' act. Even then, the actions you take could have unexpected outcomes despite them being 'good' things." Fushigoro argued.

"Returning by death, huh?" Suguru Geto laid back on his beach chair with a soft smile. By his side were two curses, one with what seemed to be stitched up skin and light blue hair and the other wearing a black robe with several daggers jutting out. Unlike the patch face curse, the one to his right was under his control through his cursed technique, cursed spirit manipulation. "What a useful little ability; but I doubt it's anything more than that."

The spirit beside him let out a warped gurgle that the man had no trouble understanding. "Ah, of course, Gojo Satoru now has a weak spot we can exploit; what do you think, Mahito? He seemed to take quite a bit of pleasure in torturing that poor thing once he saw his student was hurt."

"Oooh, that'll be fun to test." Mahito's high pitched voice carried a tone of playfulness despite the subject matter; par for the course for him, really. His entire group held the belief that cursed spirit's were the 'true humans' and were meant to replace sorcerers some time in the future, therefore, he saw humans as lesser beings worthy of scorn. "I wonder what his face will look like if I transform his student into one of my playthings…" The curse wondered.

Geto allowed his compatriot to mumble his musings aloud while he listened to the report being given by his spying curse. It was a useful one, its ability being to become virtually untraceable by transferring all of its energy to a core away from its body. The curse's technique was precisely what allowed it to walk through the manager's barrier and supervise the battle from its hiding spot. Only one problem could have occurred with the mission though, which was Gojo's six eyes picking up the spirit's presence despite its null energy signature; luckily, the man had been far too focused on his student to notice the extra spectator.

While the curse user continued to ponder the new tools at his disposal, he didn't notice the two new appearances on the beach nearby. A cursed spirit with snow white skin and black markings wearing a mountain of bandages over its left arm watched the water shift silently, its branch-like horns sitting in the place of its eyes. Next to them was another cursed spirit, this one with sky blue skin and a volcano on top of its head. Smoke was billowing out of the volcano spirit's head as it watched the waves alongside its comrade, a sign of content and boredom. A single eye made up the majority of its upper face, framed by two cork looking mounds in place of where its ears should have been.

After several moments of watching, the waves eventually gave way to a small red curse floating through the water, freshly saved from the wrath of Mahoraga barely a week prior. "Dagon's domain has come about quite well, don't you think?" The volcano curse asked its friend.

"It has, Jogo. I believe he is also reaching the stage where his evolution is finally complete; within the coming months, maybe." The curse's voice came out warped and scratchy, but it was undeniably feminine in nature.

Jogo watched the waves crash against each other in silence, smiling softly as he watched Dagon slip beneath another curling tide and sink to the depths it loved so dearly. "Do you think our goal is possible, Hanami?"

The now named Hanami barely waited for Jogo to finish talking before replying "Of course. With the four of us working together, anything is possible." Jogo nodded quietly before standing up from the sand and dusting himself off. His legs carried him towards the two other occupants of the domain sitting in their beach chairs peacefully.

Before he could even get a word out, the curse user among their group hopped out of his seat and smiled. "Perfect timing, Jogo!" He attempted to grasp the spirit's shoulder in a friendly manner, only for Jogo to slap away the attempt with a glare. "My, how rude!"

"Get to the point, I saw you staring at me from your little break spot." The spirit replied coldly, not making a single attempt to hide the disdain he held for the person in front of him from his voice.

Suguru shrugged with a joking smile, "can't I just ask how my ally is feeling?" Jogo's heated glare was enough for him to assume otherwise. "I would like you to collect something for me…"

"And with that, I'm level 34." Adam dropped his hand with a small smile, allowing it to rest on the black tiles residing below him from his position on the dormitory's roof. His cursed technique shimmered into physical view upon his command, the presence of his friend having been recognized just moments prior.

"Do you need help with that one?" Fushigoro asked boredly. He dropped into a seated position next to his friend, only barely registering the shake of the boy's head in response to his question.

"I've already got the incantation memorized, and I already asked Ijichi for some tips on using it. Despite that, the skill isn't forming."

"Because you're not in a fight, right?" Adam nodded with a sigh.

"I'm at a point where I can only fight special grades to get into those scenarios, but special grades also eclipse me in strength." Adam leaned backwards until he eventually ended up completely lying down across the roof. "Oh, right, I forgot to tell you I was wrong about my kill sharing stuff; Blindfold did most of the work while I only got the final hit." He added on quickly.

"But then the problem still remains that there aren't that many special grade spirits around." Fushigoro summarized. "Seems like you've gotten yourself into some trouble." As soon as he said that, an idea formed in the back of his mind. "What if you just limit yourself?"

"How? It's not like I can put a cap on my stats or something." Adam asked, rolling his head to the side so he could see his friend properly.

"If you just don't reinforce your muscles and waste most of your cursed energy, you could theoretically make a dangerous situation for yourself that would allow you to form skills, correct?"

"Maybe…why don't we test it out?" Adam sat up from his seat before bouncing onto his feet and hopping off of the roof. "Follow me, we'll try it out now." Fushigoro quickly scrambled off of the roof as he saw a steady aura of cursed energy begin to surround Adam's body. "You'll fight me, this time with the intention to kill, and I should be able to form a skill." The boy spoke, completely aware to Fushigoro's silent nod from behind him.

As they passed through the winding paths of the campus grounds, small talk was shared between the boys, the main subject being about what breakfast would be the next day. "Well, I guess we should say today, since it just passed midnight." Adam stashed his phone back to its original position in his pocket once they reached the training field they frequented.

"Great, now my sleep schedule is ruined." Fushigoro grumbled, striding over to his chosen position on the grass. Adam slid into a stance opposite him, his eyes hardening into a squinted form when Fushigoro formed a hand sign.

The black haired boy's shadow swelled to an insane degree as Orochi shot out from the ground like a rocket. Adam leapt to the side as the snake shikigami slammed into his previous position with a loud bang. "I know you can summon more, it won't work if it doesn't believe you're going to kill me!" Adam's right hand shot into the air instinctually as his palm met the bottom of Kuro's chin, sending the dog flying into the air. The same hand shot towards the ground and acted as a pivot point as Adam dropped to the floor and slammed a kick into Orochi's side. He was about to start speaking again, but Shiro interrupted those attempts by pouncing on top of him with an open jaw.

Under the night sky, Adam continued to fight off Fushigoro's shikigami with a mix of martial arts and strategy for dozens of minutes. Despite the constant battling, Adam could tell he was in no real danger from any of his friend's attacks. With his reserves just barely reaching below half, Adam sighed and let the divine dog's next attacks land. Kuro's jaw sank into a non vital spot on his torso, while Shiro had its teeth latched around his right forearm. Pain reverberated around his system, breaking his concentration for barely a moment before he began to speak. "This is a waste of time." His eyes trailed up to Fushigoro's form, which was still situated in the middle of the field as it had been when the 'fight' began. "If you won't deal any real damage to me, then I will."

"Wait, don't!" Adam clasped his hand around Shiro's jaw and tightened it, forcing the dog's teeth to reach far into his muscular tissue. Fushigoro's shouts fell on deaf ears as Adam clenched his teeth and pulled. Both Kuro and Shiro retreated back to their summoner's side, one of them carrying a new souvenir. "Adam!" Fushigoro stared in horror at the steady stream of red flowing from the remaining portion of his right sleeve.

The white haired boy grunted in pain as his perplexion began to grow paler by the second, a normal symptom when it came to blood loss or having your arm torn off by a summoned shikigami. Despite this, he held up two fingers and began to chant with a frenzied smile. "Emerge from darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure." With copious amounts of blood gushing out of his sleeve, Adam looked up to the sky to see an inky black curtain dropping over the battlefield, along with a new notification from his system.

-New skill formed! Veil [1/100]-

A barrier serving the purpose of keeping a sorcerer's actions hidden to the rest of the world. The night-like conditions created by its presence lure out cursed spirits from their hiding places and the conditions of the barrier keep outsiders from viewing what's within.

-New skill formed! Basic barrier creation [1/100]-

The user's ability to create and modify barriers made via cursed energy.

"Ahhh, two in one." Adam drawled, his smile fading slightly as blood continued to pour from his hidden shoulder. On the other side of the field, Fushigoro was quickly approaching; his mouth was already open, more than likely spilling words of outrage and worry that Adam couldn't hear. "Sorry Fushigoro, but I needed the level." With a flick, Adam's coat flourished to the side, his empty sleeve following along with it. "Plus, it's not like it matters." With his heart pounding in his ears, Adam couldn't hear the boy's response as he called upon his reversed cursed technique.

Flesh, bone and muscle twirled and bonded together as Adam's empty sleeve began to be filled with a new limb. The boy saw his friend watch in barely hidden disgust as a pale white limb shot out from a position previously unfilled. "Now, let's continue." Adam was blindsided by Fushigoro punching him in the jaw hard enough to send him straight into unconsciousness.

"Idiot." Fushigoro growled, watching his friend's sleeping body hit the ground with a soft thump.

"What sort of woman is your type?" Adam groaned in annoyance, reaching around his head to slap away the funky alarm clock his teacher had probably set up. Sounds of conversation barely rang in his ear as he yawned and began to speak.

"What sort of fuck ass alarm is this?" He growled, waving his arm for several more seconds before it hit something. All sounds in the room stopped, and the atmosphere seemed to drop in temperature by 20 degrees. The boy's head slowly raised, his other hand being used to wipe the sleep from his eyes as he looked around.

He was sat at the dining room table, not in his room on his bed, Gojo and Fushigoro were discussing something on the other end of the table, but had seemingly paused whatever they were talking about to gawk at him, and there was a presence located under his right hand that he didn't recognize. "Uhh, Adam?" Fushigoro sounded slightly hesitant as he looked between Adam and his right hand. "You just got that thing back, you might want to move it before you lose it."

"Move it from where?" Adam yawned. His head tilted slightly to the right, turning just enough that he could see the person his hand had latched onto. "Ah, I get it." Adam slowly retracted his hand from Tsukumo Yuki's torso with a tired frown. "Just kill me already." He groaned, allowing his head to slam into the table while his thoughts tried to organize themselves.

There are 4 registered special grade jujutsu sorcerers across the entire planet, every single one of them being of Japanese heritage. Gojo Satoru, the strongest, his six eyes and limitless cursed technique allowing him to bend the rules of gravity to his whim with a single snap of his fingers. Geto Suguru, the strongest curse spirit manipulation user; his virtually limitless army of cursed spirits would spell the end of any army he faced alone. Okkotsu Yuta, the cursed child, a boy with bottomless pools of cursed energy he can use at will and his special cursed technique, copy; he was originally cursed by the queen of curses Orimoto Rika but escaped from her grasp at the end of his battle with Geto Suguru and regained special grade status without her power within just 3 months. Finally, the lone female sorcerer that's head and shoulders above the rest, Tsukumo Yuki.

In a male dominated profession she alone stands at the top of the jujutsu world with her cursed technique 'Star Rage'. Her ability to grant limitless virtual mass to an object of her choosing, including her own body, makes her one of the physically strongest people on Earth. Not only that, her shikigami Garuda serves as a perfect tool to supplement her lack of ranged abilities.

Her strength is not the only thing that serves to give her a reputation. She's earned many names over her years as a freelance sorcerer including, but not limited to, the Special Grade Bum, Master of the Loser's Domain, the Ultimate Freeloader, and other accurate descriptions people knew to never utter in her presence. Most of the names were either given because of her lifestyle as a traveler or her skillset regarding the mastery of simple domain. Despite the generally negative pictures these names painted, her strength was undeniable.

"How forward!" Tsukumo laughed, slapping a hand over Adam's hair with a playful smile; unintentionally causing his nose to smash into the table. "You're right, Satoru, this kid's not bad!"

"I don't think that's what he meant." Fushigoro sighed. "As much as I'd like to see you off and everything, I have an important mission to go on." The boy walked over and patted Adam on the back. "Good luck on your trip." He glanced up at Tsukumo, who was still laughing at Gojo's expression. "You'll probably need it."

Adam raised his head despite the pressure being forced upon it. "What're you even talking about?" His frown was immediately replaced by a surprised expression as Fushigoro grabbed a plane ticket from his uniform and handed it to him. "Why the hell am I going to Russia!?"

"Because that's where I've been called to!" Tsukumo helpfully supplied, finally taking her hand off of the boy's head before starting to raid the fridge in the kitchen.

"No offense, but since when was I traveling with you?" Adam asked quickly.

"Since today!" Gojo chirped in response, despite the question not being aimed towards him in the slightest. "Yuki was in the area, and I thought having some extra tools in your bag would be a good way to expand your arsenal."

"Hey! I only said I'd teach him if he had the ability to learn." Tsukumo chimed in. Adam glanced at her, only to see she was currently munching on the lunch he had saved from the previous day. With a sigh, he palmed the plane ticket in his hand before standing up from his chair.

"I don't get why you can't teach me, Blindfold, but I'll trust your judgment." He promptly left the room, unaware of the wide smile on his teacher's face.

"Did you hear that, Tsukumo? He trusts me!" Yuki paused her eating for a second to look at the man in confusion.

"Ok?" She jabbed her fork into a piece of chicken and shoved it into her mouth. "Is that supposed to mean something?" She said in between bites. Gojo's shocked look caused her eyes to widen in surprise. "Are you that much of a piss poor teacher that your students don't trust you?"

"Hey! I'm a great teacher!" Adam walked back into the room with a filled luggage case, the shopping tag still attached to the zipper. "Adam! Tell her I'm a great teacher!"

A tired glare was sent the man's way before the boy turned around and shrugged. "He's okay, stuff gets done in the end."
"Oi!" Tsukumo laughed wildly at the boy's response, causing Gojo to squawk out another indignant exclamation. When the laughter finally settled down, Gojo sighed and held up three fingers, "you have 2 weeks to teach him before I want him back. Whether he's mastered it or not, I'm expecting him back here on the 3rd." Yuki chucked her empty bowl into the sink, the sound of porcelain breaking filling the air as soon as it landed.

Before she could respond to Gojo's statement, Adam pointed at the sink with a scowl. "I'm expecting you to pay for that." Yuki ignored him with a lazy wave.

"Whatever, I don't plan on allowing someone with no guts to tag along with me for too long. He'll be on that plane." She confirmed.

"Send her the bill for it, Blindfold." Adam sighed.

"It's just a plate kid, calm down."

"Yeah, one of my plates, don't go destroying shit you don't own." Adam shrugged. "Plus, your wage will easily pay for it."

"You have some balls if you think you can–"

"They happen to come with the gender." Adam interrupted with a scowl. He was in no way a morning person; especially when that morning starts by being told he needs to pack his shit and leave. Tsukumo didn't seem to mind though, as a quick laugh escaped her throat before she left the building. "Annoying woman."

Gojo chuckled while tearing off the price tag of his student's suitcase. "She's like that sometimes, don't worry, she's nice when you get used to her. But it's not just because of the new connection that I wanted her to teach you; her mastery over simple domain may be able to give you a leg up on the competition."

"Not to sound presumptuous, but can't I just learn how to open my own domain?" He gestured to his side, where his cursed technique laid in the corner of his vision.

Gojo shook his head in response. "With a technique like yours, I'm not sure it will be possible. Now, run along, or you'll miss your flight." Adam rolled his eyes before leaving the room. His screams echoed across the entire campus as Tsukumo's barely street legal motorcycle blasted off towards the nearest airport.

Reviews are greatly appreciated!

Question for this week, what's a theme song, Japanese, English, Spanish, whatever, that you think fits Adam?
