After the universe had been restored, the Fantastic Four were disbanded. Reed, Sue and their family were busy trying to reconstruct the multiverse, and Ben Grimm joined the Guardians of the Galaxy.

This meant the Baxter Building was now being auctioned off, and many corporations were putting bids into ownership. Among these corporations were Hammer Multinational, Roxxon, and Empire Unlimited, but Peter would not let that happen.

Peter joined forces with Liz so that both their companies could share ownership of the Baxter Building, and they won the bid. Then, they had to explain to Johnny why they decided to take ownership.

"Both Liz and I agree that the other companies putting their hats in the ring were not in everyone's best interest," said Peter.

Liz nodded. "Both Hammer and Roxxon only care about the publicity and Empire Unlimited; I think they wanted to raze the place to the ground."

"And what do you intend to do?" Johnny asked curiously.

"It's going to be the basis of our joint research department, and Gwen is going to be the head of it," Peter explained.

"We'll also return it to the Fantastic Four once they return," said Liz. "We even got Alicia Masters to create a sculpture in the foyer of the Fantastic Four."

"Then I guess I owe you guys, but buying this place must cost a fortune," said Johnny.

"We can discuss the particulars with Reed once he and the others return," Peter promised.

"And if you need a job, you're more than welcome to lend a hand; you are a skilled engineer, after all," Liz added.

"I might take you up on that offer," said Johnny. He then burst into flames and hovered in front of them. "Now, you don't mind. I want to check to see if nothing is missing from my room."

They then watched as he flew down the corridor.

"He doesn't slow down, does he?" said Liz.

"Not that I've noticed," said Peter.

"It's a shame that we were unable to win the bid on the new prison deal," Liz sighed.

Peter nodded. "Ghost did a lot of damage to my company, and Roman was very persuasive."

"I've heard that you're starting a certain amount of charities now."

Peter nodded. "Aunt May wants to restart FEAST. How can I say no to my favourite aunt?"

"I suppose you couldn't. Just be careful when flaunting your money; you might get in big trouble if your company goes bust."

"And that's why I've got Gayle around to make sure that doesn't happen."

Peter soon returned to Parker Industries, and Harry and Gayle began going through with other ventures.

"Have you thought about expanding out of the country?" Gayle asked. "I would say that we have more than enough money to start at the branches."

"I would like to hold off on that," said Peter as he took out a newspaper. "The Zodiac seems seems to be making a comeback."

"Yeah, it wouldn't be wise to expand in this climate," Harry agreed.

"I also want to make sure that we are financially sound," said Peter.

"Buying the Baxter Building did set us back, but I understand why you wanted to protect it," said Gayle.

"I'm just glad he was into my suggestion about teaming up with Liz for the bid," said Harry.

"I'm still a little concerned about Empire Unlimited," said Gayle, holding her arms. "It's almost like they just suddenly appeared out of nowhere."

"We were a small company once, you know," Peter pointed out.

"Yes, but we were able to rise in just under a few years, but it was likely just that their fingers and there they were."

"Normally, I'm not into industrial espionage, but no one has seen the supermax prison since it was built," said Harry.

Peter raised his hands. "Okay, ask Teresa to look into it. We've got a press conference in Washington, and quite a few big names are going to be there."

"And for once, you're going to have to wear a tux," Harry smirked.

"As MJ keeps reminding," said Peter.

"How is she after what happened with the nightclub?" Gayle asked.

"Fuming would be an accurate assessment," said Peter.

Tony ended up crashing into her nightclub when battling against Madame Masque and destroying it. Tony quickly repaired the damage, but it would take some time and intensify the bad blood between them.

"At least she wasn't hurt," said Harry.

"Yeah, but she's not looking forward to this conference as Tony is going to be there," Peter sighed.

A few days later, they were in Washington, DC, just in front of the White House.

"Quite the gathering," said MJ. "Though I do feel bad leaving Annie behind."

"Aunt May is looking after the girls, and she insisted that you come to get a break," said Peter.

"Still doesn't feel right."

"Ah, Peter and MJ, I am glad to see you," said Tony as he approached them.

"Hello, Tony," said MJ, giving him a dark look.

"MJ, I'm sorry about the nightclub; it's not like I did on purpose," said Tony.

"If you don't mind, I'm going to mingle with the crowd," she said. She then turned on her heels and walked off.

"I forget how much of the Spitfires she is," said Tony.

"What is it that you want, Tony?" Peter asked.

"Don't tell me you're still upset with me," said Tony.

"You hardly regained our trust," Peter pointed out.

"I'm sorry. How many times do I have to say it?"

"Keep trying and find out."

"Okay, I get it. You don't like me, but can't we at least pretend to be friends for the cameras? I would also still like to do business with your company. I know that you're already doing joint research projects with Alchmax."

"I'll think about it," said Peter.

He then walked off.

Soon, the conference began, but as Peter took the stage, he was suddenly interrupted by White Ghost. He began causing quite a lot of chaos, but Tony quickly dawned on his armour, and Peter and MJ secretly changed.

The three of them were able to take him down, but everyone immediately began to fawn over Tony as the hero of the day.

"He claims he wants to do right by us; he can't resist the spotlight," said MJ, folding her arms.

"I don't like it either, but there's not a lot we can do," said Peter.

Ben and Cindy were currently at their apartment. Thankfully, Peter managed to find a way for them to mask their pheromones so they didn't make out like rabbits.

"So, have you been able to track down your parents?" Ben asked.

"Teresa has been a big help," said Cindy. "But it's like they were never around. We've been able to find some old photos."

"You know we'll help you find, right," said Ben, placing his hand over hers.

"I know," she smiled.

"So, how is your new job as a reporter?" Ben asked.

"It's going well. I can see why Peter has worked at the Daily Bugle for so long. Getting all this information regarding the crime bosses in the area certainly makes my job as a crime-fighter easier and gives me easy access to places."

"That's good to hear," Ben smiled.

"So, how's your business as manager of your coffee shop going?" Cindy asked curiously.

"Well, it's not as exciting as your job, but I hear things occasionally. You can be surprised at how many people let things slip when relaxing."

"And you do make a good cup of coffee."

Ben smiled. "Charmer."

The two of them then kissed, which eventually led them to fall onto the couch, where things began to heat up.

A few days later, the Parkers were having their meal at the table, though Peter was busy fiddling with his web-shooters, much to MJ's annoyance.

"Peter Benjamin Parker, how many times have I told you not to do that at the table," she said as she fed Annie.

"What?" said Peter as he continued to fiddle. "I've had a busy night beating up bad guys."

"Bah-guys," Annie laughed.

"But hey," Peter continued, "if you want me to run out of web fluid while on patrol…"

"Oh, no," said MJ, pointing her spoon at him, which still contained Annie's baby food. "You are not going to play the patrol card. We both know it's code for 'I don't want to change Annie's diapers.'"

"I've changed plenty of Annie's diapers," Peter protested.

"The one that you spun out of webbing doesn't count," said MJ as she grabbed Annie's baby bottle. "And let's not forget the mess after the webbing dissolved."

May and April giggled.

"Eww. That was messy," Peter laughed. "So what do I owe you?"

MJ smirked and wrapped her arms around him. "For a smoking hot wife. Three perfect, beautiful daughters and webbing bliss? Mister, whatever you've got is not enough."

She then kissed him on the cheek and made her way back to Annie, giving her her baby bottle.

"Sorry, MJ, we have been rather busy lately," Peter admitted.

"Yeah, about that… What's going on?" MJ frowned.

"I wish I knew, but there have been a series of disappearances, and I'm not just talking about the villains," Peter frowned. "Superheroes have also been disappearing; the Avengers are at half-strength, and more concerning, both Ben and Cindy have disappeared."

"What do you think is going on?" MJ asked.

"I don't know, but we'll find out," said Peter.

"You know, when you started the Web Warriors, I had hoped that you would be spending less time as S-P-I-D-E-Y," said MJ as she lifted Annie out of her highchair.

"We're spelling it now?" Peter frowned.

"We have it; we can't have Annie blurting it out on a play date," said MJ.

"But everyone we hang out with knows who I am," Peter pointed out.

"Not the point; I just want our daughter to see you as her father, not as Spidey."

"Pidey!" Annie laughed.

"Okay, girls, message loud and clear," Peter laughed and kissed MJ.

"You sure you don't need me to come along?" MJ asked.

Peter shook his head. "I don't want our daughters to lose both their parents, not if we can avoid it."

"You know the only reason I don't want my costume was to make sure you do get home," MJ reminded him.

"I know, but I also know how forward you're looking to raising our baby girl," said Peter. He then walked on to May and April. "Now, you two be good to your mother and baby sister."

"We will," they said.

Peter soon changed and swung to Nest entrance, where he met with Gwen and Miles.

"Glad you can make it," said Gwen.

"Still no word on Scarlet Spider and Silk?" Miles asked.

Peter shook his head. "No, but Teresa is still looking into it."

They then descended into the Nest, where Teresa was sitting at the computer, already hacking into several surveillance cameras.

"Hard at work already, huh?" said Peter.

"Whatever's happening to the superheroes affects everyone," said Teresa.

"So, do you have anything?" Miles asked.

"I found who it is responsible, but unfortunately, it doesn't help," said Teresa gratefully.

She showed them an image of a man wearing pure white armour.

"Who is this guy?" Gwen asked.

"He calls himself the Regent," said Teresa.

Hiccup's eyes lit up. "I've heard that name before."

"You have? Where?" Miles asked.

"My counterpart on Earth-18119 mentioned that name," said Peter.

"Don't suppose he elaborated?" Miles asked.

"We were in a bit of a hurry," Peter pointed out.

"Whoever hears, he's extremely careful not to be seen by anyone. I was lucky enough to get this image when he battled against Thor," Teresa explained. "I can also tell you that he seems to be targeting superhumans; he seems to be leaving the regular humans like Hawkeye and Black Widow alone, though he does take their equipment. As for why he's doing this, it is anyone's guess.

"Well, we got to figure out who this guy is before every superhero is gone," said Gwen.

"Man, here I was hoping that things would settle down after Battleworld," said Miles.

Peter then saw something on Regent's chest. "Teresa, can you zoom in on his chest."

Teresa did just that, and there they saw a logo embroidered on his chest.

"It's just a logo; heroes and villains wear them on a daily basis," she said.

"True, but this one is actually a business logo," said Peter. "It's a logo on Empire Unlimited."

"Let me just do a quick check," said Teresa and began matching Regent's logo with Empire Unlimited, and they matched. "It's a perfect match."

"You don't think he's working for Empire Unlimited, do you?" Gwen asked, looking at Peter.

"Roman does have a motive; he told me that his family was killed during a battle between the Avengers and Masters of Evil."

"I'm bringing up his file now," said Teresa. "You're right. He did lose his family during that battle. He then began advocating for the Superhuman Registration Act, but once it was implemented, he protested that it didn't go far enough. He was even more outraged when the act was abolished."

"Hey, is it me, or is he a lot more buff than he is in his original picture?" Miles asked.

"Now that you mention it, during a conference in Washington, he did seem extremely well-built," said Peter thinking back.

"This was his picture just a few years ago, and this is what he looks like now," said Teresa, bringing up two images which definitely showed a change in body shape.

Gwen whistled. "Is he taking steroids or something?"

Peter's eyes widened. "Teresa, can you match his body type with the Regent."

"I can, but why?" Teresa frowned.

"Just humour me."

Teresa brought out an image of Roman and Regent. She then brought the two images together, and everyone gasped as they matched perfectly with one another.

"Oh my, God," said Gwen. "Augustus Roman is the Regent?"

"If it is, then I think we might know when he's keeping the superheroes," said Peter. "One of his first businesses rebuilding the prison on Ryker's Island, and he even went so far as to sabotage my company and Liz's."

"So we know where to look first," said Miles.

Peter looked at Teresa. "Teresa, I need you to try to get a message out to any hero that hasn't been captured. Tell them what's going on and have them meet us at Ryker's Island."

"Got it," Teresa nodded.

"How are we supposed to get there fast?" Gwen asked.

Peter smiled. "Oh, I've got a little something that might help."

That little something turned out to be a newly improved Spider mobile; all of them were packed into it and were driving straight towards Ryker's Island.

"When did you manage to build this?" Miles asked.

"A few weeks ago, with Johnny's help," Peter explained. "We installed the latest technologies on this baby."

"And when will you gonna tell us that you were building this?" Gwen asked.

"Well, I have a few other things I wanted to show you at the same time," Peter explained. "We're building some motorbikes and even a jet."

"I think I'm going to love this Earth," said Miles.

"I just hope Teresa was able to get some help," said Peter.

"The cavalry is here," said a voice above them.

Peter groaned as he recognised that the voice belonged to Tony Stark, who was now flying alongside them.

"Yo Webs, I like the wheels," said Tony.

"Please tell me that you're not the only hero remaining in New York?" Peter asked.

"Hey, I'm quite the competent superhero, you know," said Tony, sounding slightly insulted.

"I think Peter was actually hoping with someone he could work with," said Gwen.

"It will be just like old times," said Tony.

"You mean before you violated my trust?" said Peter without looking at him.

"Look, Pete, I know you don't like each other, but can't we play nice?" Miles asked.

"Fine," said Peter.,

Gwen and Miles looked at one another, knowing that this was going to be a long night.

They finally managed to reach Ryker Island, but they were soon met by the man himself.

"I was just about to come for you; how gracious of you to come to me," said Roman.

"How could we not when you kidnap innocent people?" said Peter.

"I would hardly call you superhumans innocent, given the number of lives you ruin," said Roman, narrowing his eyes.

"I doubt the world will see it like that, Roman," said Peter.

Roman looked generally surprised. "So you know who I am? I must admit I am rather surprised that you were able to figure it out."

"Maybe you shouldn't wear your company logo on your chest," Peter suggested.

"Once I have you, my mission will be complete!" Roman roared.

They soon began to engage with Roman, but they soon discovered they were completely outmatched. He was using various superpowers, such as strength, intangibility, superspeed, and many more, and they were starting to get overpowered.

Teresa was in the Nest watching the entire thing tell that they were losing.

"It's not going well," said a voice behind her.

Teresa spun around and was surprised to see MJ standing there in costume.

"Mary Jane? What are you doing here?" she asked.

"I called May and asked her to babysit; I couldn't just sit around and have my husband and best friend buy for their lives."

"Honestly, I don't know how they're going to beat him," said Teresa. "He seemed to be using every single superpower imaginable."

"How is he doing it?" MJ asked.

"I'm guessing it has something to do with his armour," said Teresa. "Also, I discovered a hidden facility within Ryker's. I think that is when he's keeping all his prisoners. I also think that he somehow siphoned their powers into himself; the only way to find out for certain is to get inside."

"I better get out there and help," said MJ.

"You never get there in time, and one more fighter may not make all the difference," said Teresa.

"What do you suggest we do?"

Teresa pondered, and then her eyes laid upon Peter's Iron Spider armour and got an idea.

Meanwhile, Peter and the others were doing their best to survive, but Roman was a complete powerhouse. He finally caught them inside some red orbs, but they couldn't break free.

"It looks like my secret won't be getting out, at least not yet," said Roman.

"I wouldn't be too sure!" said a voice.

Then, suddenly, he was struck by a repulsor, and everyone looked up to see the Iron Spider flying overhead. Then suddenly, MJ appeared and began to manage to land a blow on Roman, which somehow broke his concentration, freeing the others.

"Spinneret? I told you to stay home," said Peter.

"I can sit around, knowing you were in trouble," she said.

Iron Spider then swooped in, striking Roman. "Get your hands off my brother!"

Peter's eyes widened. "Sis?"

Teresa looked back and waved. "Hey, bro."

"It's a long story," said MJ. "But Iron Spider thinks that Roman is something of the powers of superhumans inside his prison. If we free them, he's powerless."

"You Spiders go," said Tony as he fired a volley of missiles. "We'll keep them occupied."

Peter nodded, and they made their way into the prison immediately.

Tony then flew alongside Teresa. "Didn't know Webs had a sister."

"It's a long story," she said. She then turned towards Roman, who got back up. "Now, what you say we beat this guy up?"

"You read my mind," said Tony.

"Fools, don't you see I'm trying to protect the world!" he yelled.

"By kidnapping people?" said Teresa. "That is a crime, and then you decide to use their powers for your own purposes."

"It is the only way to control this superhuman infestation," he said.

"Got news for you, Roman, mutants are being born every day, and more Inhumans are showing up," said Tony. "We're on the verge of a whole new world; you just can't see it."

"Also, I've noticed you've also been targeting those without powers, stealing their equipment," Teresa yelled. "Face it, Roman, you just don't want any competition. You're not doing this to say people; you're doing this for your own power-hungry ends."

"Silence!"

Meanwhile, Peter and his team had managed to infiltrate the prison, and MJ began to lead them. It turned out there was a secret facility beneath the prison, and it was rather horrific.

They saw heroes and villains trapped in very tight containment cells filled with red liquid.

"Are they dead?" Miles asked.

"No, I think they're still alive in there; for how long, I don't know," said Peter.

Shannon Stillwell was running the entire facility. She was apparently Roman's right-hand woman and a relative of the Jackal. Taking her down was rather easy, especially freeing all the trapped heroes.

Every time they freed one of the heroes, Roman lost their powers. This gave Tony and Terese the upper hand, and they eventually took him down. Roman was now completely powerless, surrounded by all the heroes who captured him and decided to lock him up in his very own prison.

"Thanks for the help, Sis," Peter smiled.

"Thanks, and I have to say I do like being a superhero," she said. "I don't suppose you wouldn't mind if I keep the suit?"

"It's yours," Peter smiled. "Does that mean you're going on missions with us?"

"Not all the time; you still need a mission controller, but I'll be there when you need me," she said.

Peter then looked at MJ. "I guess I should thank you as well."

"We're a team Tiger, we look out for one another," she said.

Tony then walked up. "Got to say your sister is something else."

"She is," said Peter.

Tony sighed. "Look, things have been strained between us over the past few years, but can't we bury the hatchet?"

Peter and MJ looked at one another.

"I suppose you've been in the doghouse long enough," said MJ.

"So we're good?" Tony asked.

"We're good, but don't you ever betray our trust ever again," MJ warned.

"Don't worry, I will betray that trust again."

A few days later, everyone was in the Coffee Bean for a private party at the behest of Gayle, who apparently had some important news.

"So what's with the party?" Peter asked.

"I think everyone is here for the announcement," said Gayle, smiling broadly.

John nodded and stepped forward. "Everyone, I have an announcement to make. I am proud to announce that Gayle and I are going to get married!"

MJ immediately when giggled and hugged Gayle, and Jonah patted his son on the back.

"I was starting to get worried that he would be a bachelor for life, son," said Jonah. "Though I can't say I'm overly fond about being related to Parker."

"Technically, you'll be related to me," said MJ.

"Jonah, don't ruin the moment," said Jay.

Everything seemed to be going well, but then suddenly, Jay coughed up some certain amount of blood and collapsed.

"Dad!" Jonah gasped.

"Jay!" Peter yelled.

"Someone call an ambulance!" MJ screamed.

I decided to make Teresa the Iron Spider just to bring the Spider Family even more closer together.
