Kuon's hospital stay lasted two days. He and Kyoko spent as much of those two days as possible in the NICU, taking turns at each of their babies' incubators. When they weren't in the NICU, they were visited by Kuu and Julie, and Yashiro and Ayame. Though the babies couldn't have visitors quite yet, Kuu and Julie were allowed to see them through the window of the NICU. Julie had, of course, come prepared in a sweater that had the word "Glam-maw" bedazzled on the front. Upon being told that Yukina's middle name would be Julienna, she had almost collapsed in happy tears. Yashiro had to hide his face in his hands and turn away when Kyoko explained that the name Yukina was derived from his own, Yukihito, because they couldn't have survived the last few months without him.

The next several weeks were hard on them. Leaving the hospital without their children was, simply put, awful. They visited every day for the next eight weeks, doing their best to dodge the paparazzi. News of their relationship and wedding had gotten out very quickly, and it was hard to find a moment alone. Photographers and news people were camped outside of their apartment building the entire time. They had eschewed any and all interviews.

The overall reaction to their relationship was actually favorable. Though many of Ren Tsuruga's fangirls had been destroyed by the news of his marriage, the fact that he had married the female lead of Silver Flash, who was, per his manager, also a childhood friend, had softened the blow. The title of Most Eligible Bachelor in Japan had passed to an ecstatic Koga Hiromune, who had sent a dozen roses to Kyoko in thanks, with a card for Ren that read, "Nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh, ha ha ha ha ha ha."

Kuon had raised an eyebrow at the tiny card that came with the flowers. "He really takes this shit personally, doesn't he?"

Kyoko laughed nervously. "Koga-san is… a bit odd."

About 7 weeks after their birth, it was determined that Kuzen and Jiro were healthy enough to go home. Kyoko and Kuon showed up at the hospital in the brand new black SUV that Yashiro had found for them. It had seven seats, a high safety rating, and, "Best of all," he said, "It won't make Ren look like Mr. Mom."

Kuon rolled his eyes. As though the giant belly and tits haven't already accomplished that. At least the mangina is gone now, he thought with a shudder. His body had slowly but surely started going back to its original state. The belly had shrunken substantially since the birth… though his breasts were still sizable since he had opted to breastfeed. He was also finally getting back into the gym after healing from the c-section.

They loaded the baby seats into the back of the SUV. Kyoko sat between them to make sure they were okay on the way home. They hated leaving Yukina at the hospital, though neither of them discussed it. They knew that it would only serve to upset both of them, and now that they were going home with two of their three bundles of joy, they needed their wits about them. The doctors had assured them that Yukina would likely go home the following week, anyway. They ultimately decided that it was a good way to slowly acclimate themselves to the chaos.

When they parked in the garage at the apartment building, Kyoko hopped out of the vehicle, and began feverishly disconnecting Jiro's baby carrier from its base. "We're home, boys! I can't wait to show you guys your room!"

Kuon chuckled as he undid Kuzen's and pulled the seat out of the car. "I don't know that they're going to care too much, Kyoko-chan. They're just babies."

Kyoko shouldered the diaper bag, grabbed Jiro's seat out of the car and kicked the door shut. "So!? Mommy can be excited for them!"

They took the babies up the elevator to their floor. When they finally set their seats down in the living room, Kyoko unbuckled Jiro's seat, pulled him out, and kissed his forehead. "Welcome home, Jiro! What do you want to see firs–oh!" She sniffed him. "I think we're going to be seeing the changing table first. Kuon, are you okay with Kuzen while I change Jiro's diaper?"

Kuon looked down at Kuzen, who was asleep in the carrier. The car ride had simply been too much for him. "Yeah," he said with a smile. "I think we'll be fine."

Kyoko went to the other room to change Jiro's diaper, only to find that it was an absolute blow out. She flinched as she pulled his tiny pants off to reveal a nasty olive drab smear down the insides of both of his legs, and up part of his back. After making sure that he was actually done and that there wasn't more coming, she cleaned him up with some wipes and then took him to the bathroom sink to get the rest. When she finished, she brought him back to the changing table and got his outfit changed.

"There," she said, "Very handsome. Now, do Mom a favor and try to keep the pooping at a minimum, okay?"

A cry sounded from the living room. "Uh oh. Let's go see what's up." She put the baby over her shoulder and headed for the living room. When she got there, she found Kuon with his shirt off, breastfeeding Kuzen on the couch. "Everything okay out here?"

Kuon nodded. "He's fine. Just woke up and was hungry. Kid eats like his grandparents."

Kyoko sat down next to him and put Jiro in her lap. "That's… kind of scary."

Kuon detached Kuzen from his nipple, put him over his shoulder where there was a waiting burp rag, and patted his back. "Tell me about it. If you knew how much those two spend on food in a week, you'd faint." Kuzen unleashed a hellish burp and Kuon put him back on his breast, chuckling. "Jeeze, dude." He turned back to Kyoko. "How did it go with that one? It seemed to take you a while."

She nodded. "Blowout. Had to give him a bath and everything."

Kuon winced. "Yikes."

Kyoko smiled down at Jiro and petted the fine black down on top of his head. He had fallen asleep in her lap. "I didn't mind. It was his first bath at home, after all." She wouldn't dare fuss about anything they did; she knew that they were privileged that their babies got to come home at all.

Kuon took Kyoko's free hand. "Look at us doing this parenting thing. We're doing great!"

She giggled. "I think we're going to be just fine."

That night, they put the boys in their respective cribs for the night, turned the baby monitor on, and tip-toed to their room. The day had been fairly uneventful, peaceful even. Kyoko lay her head on Kuon's chest. "How are you feeling?"

"Tired," he said, "But I'm actually feeling pretty good. Not really in pain anymore, so that's a plus."

"That's good," she said. She averted her eyes, tracing a circle on his chest with her forefinger, her cheeks turning pink. "Um… we've been married a while, huh?"

He nodded. "Almost two months."

She swallowed. "Do you maybe… want to… um…" she felt like she might explode asking for such a thing. But she was a married woman now, so it shouldn't be a bad thing to want that, right?

Kuon froze. "Kyoko-chan," he said, his voice dropping an entire octave, "Are you asking what I think you're asking?"

"Maybe," she squeaked, shutting her eyes tight.

Kuon had been waiting for this opportunity for months. First, Kyoko wasn't sure if she even wanted a relationship with him. Then he was too heavily pregnant to act on any of his urges, and she was still underage. Then, he was carved open from hip to hip like a Christmas ham and had to heal, and their lives had been chaos running to and fro, nursing their babies and trying to keep it together. But now, he was healthier, two of their babies were home, and they were married…

He rubbed the outside of her thigh with his fingertips. "Are you sure?"

She looked up at him, her big gold eyes flashing in the light of the bedside lamp. "Yes."

Their lips met gently at first, and then again more roughly, and then his lips trailed down the side of her neck. She pulled at the waistband of his pajama pants. He caught her hand with a smirk.

"Let's take our time," he whispered.

She sat up and looked into his eyes. "What if I don't want to?"

He shut his eyes and bit his tongue. Did she have any idea what she was doing to him? When he reopened them, he grabbed her and pinned her to the mattress beneath him, with her wrists above her head. He snaked his free hand beneath her t-shirt, her back arching as his fingertips glided over her bare skin. He thought about all of the dirty, wanton things he had wanted to do to her for months, about making her body writhe beneath his as he claimed her.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

His eyes went wide. No. No, please–!

"AAAAAAAHHHH!"

The baby monitor lit up bright red on the table beneath the lamp as both babies began to cry in unison. Kuon deflated and climbed off of the bed. Kyoko followed him, her head hanging. They went to the nursery. Kuon took Jiro in his arms and bounced him gently. "I'm not sure what they want! We just fed them before bed, and changed them. They should be good, right!?"

Kyoko checked Kuzen's diaper and found that it was dry. "I mean, they should be? I'm not sure what's wrong. Maybe Kuzen's hungry again."

Kuon sat in a rocking chair nearby and Kyoko passed Kuzen to him. He immediately latched onto Kuon, who sighed, acquiescing to his fate. Jiro followed suit, and Kuon sat there, gently rocking the boys as they took their midnight snack.

Once they were finished, and burped, and changed, and settled into their cribs once more, it was almost two in the morning. Kyoko and Kuon trudged back to their bed, far too tired to even think about continuing where they had left off.

Over the following days, they were able to establish a rhythm. They took turns waking up at night to take care of the babies. Kuon would feed them and get them changed while Kyoko made breakfast for them. After breakfast, Kyoko would take over so Kuon could go to the gym. When he returned, Kyoko would do her own workout. Then they would change the babies again, have lunch, and put them down for a nap. During the nap, they would make their phone calls to their respective managers to plot and scheme their return to society once things had calmed down at home. Phone calls were also placed to Kuu and Julie to touch base with them. They also each took turns going to the hospital each day to spend time with Yukina.

Finally, eight days after they brought the boys home, they received a call from the hospital; it was Yukina's turn to go home. When they picked her up and brought her home, it was immediately obvious that the rhythm that they had established with the boys would be completely broken.

She cried all the way home in the car, which of course triggered crying from both Kuzen and Jiro. Try as they might, she would only eat a tiny bit before simply screaming some more. Kyoko had Yukina baby-wrapped to her chest, bouncing her up and down, trying her best to calm her, but nothing worked until Yukina simply screamed herself tired and fell asleep.

Kyoko stared out the living room windows at the nearby buildings, her ears ringing with Yukina's screams, the baby asleep in the wrap on her chest. Kuon sat down next to her, sighing heavily and throwing his head back against the couch cushions.

"We're fucked, aren't we?"

Kyoko blinked at him, tears in her eyes. "I don't know why she hates me."

Kuon shook his head. "She doesn't hate you. She's just got colic or something."

Her bottom lip trembled. "Are you sure?"

He put his arm around her shoulders. "She's brand new in the world, Kyoko-chan. She can't possibly hate you yet. Wait until she's 15, when she actually hates you before you start freaking out, okay?" He smiled and kissed her forehead.

The next two days were hell. They had been fully confident that they would be able to integrate Yukina into their routine that they had with Jiro and Kuzen, but Yukina had made it abundantly clear that their routine did not work for her.

Yukina's crying set off Kuzen and Jiro while Kuon was at the gym. Kyoko set the boys in their stroller, which hadn't been outside yet, and pushed them up and down the hallway while she wore Yukina in the wrap. It seemed that Kuon was taking much longer today to get his workout in, which caused her some frustration. Eventually she sat on the couch, bawling her eyes out, unable to calm any of the three babies, and absolutely losing what remained of her sanity.

The apartment door opened, and she got to her feet. She was ready to yell at him. "Where have you bee– Mom!?"

Julie swept into the apartment with her Glam-maw sweater and dropped her bags on the floor. She went immediately to Kyoko and started unwrapping Yukina. "You give me this one, let Kuon take the other two, and go get yourself a bath."

Kyoko sighed a huge sigh of relief, though she was still tense; Yukina was screaming over this exchange. "Thank you."

She did as she was told and went immediately to the bathroom to cry in the tub. Julie sat on the couch with Yukina and popped a pacifier into her mouth. "Now, that's enough of that," she said. "We are ladies, and ladies don't cause a scene like that, my darling."

Yukina whimpered a bit and then looked up at Julie in wonderment. This new person was so calm and commanding. Julie almost laughed at how quickly the baby calmed. Kuon stared at her as though she were a god. "How!?"

"Mimi Magic," she giggled. She rubbed the blonde down on Yukina's head. "Once the novelty wears off, she might start up again. But for now, let's enjoy the quiet."

Kyoko stayed in the tub for maybe longer than she should have. Every muscle in her neck and shoulders was tight from the stress of the last few days. When she finally got out of the tub, she felt like a new woman, and when she came out to the living room and found it quiet, she felt elated. Julie had a bottle and was feeding Yukina, who was still watching her intently. Kuon had put Kuzen and Jiro down for their nap in their cribs, and had gone to pick up dinner.

Kyoko sat down beside Julie. "I'm so glad to see you. Why didn't you tell me you were coming!?"

Julie shrugged. "I'm a fan of surprise grand entrances. Besides, I know you. You would have been all, "No, you don't have to come, Mom! We're fine, Mom! I promise! Yukina isn't screaming me into an early grave! She's just being fussy today!" Julie had noticed Yukina being particularly loud during every single video call they'd had since she got home, and Kyoko and Kuon both had been looking progressively more haggard. She felt that it was time for 'Glam-maw' to step in.

Kyoko laughed softly. "I guess you're right. I just don't want us to bother anyone."

Julie shook her head. "Rule number one of having kids: you are never a bother. Let your family and friends know when you need help." She adjusted the baby's position on her lap and continued. "I can't always be here, but you've got Lory, and Sho, and that Moko girl–"

Kyoko laughed. "The only one I trust alone with my babies is Moko, but she doesn't like kids!" The idea of Sho or Lory babysitting was absolutely laughable.

Julie shook her head. "She says that the same way she acts like she doesn't like you. Call her up, act like you're tricking her into it. She'll be thrilled." She patted Yukina's back to burp her. "You could also consider getting a nanny or two. Three babies is a lot of work for a couple in showbiz, love. Kuu and I struggled with raising just one."

Kyoko frowned. "I don't know that I can trust a stranger with them." She took Yukina's tiny hand, and her fingers closed on Kyoko's. The babies were so small, and delicate! How could she possibly trust anyone with them, let alone someone they didn't know?

Julie nodded. "I understand, darling, really I do. But it is an unfortunate circumstance when you're two of the hottest up and coming actors in the world and you have three kids. I'm sure Yashiro-san or Ayame-san could find you a suitable nanny or two to lighten the load."

Kyoko simply nodded; she didn't want to admit to her mother-in-law that Yashiro had been interviewing nannies for months and that his standards were even higher than hers. The front door opened, and Kuon stepped in with several bags of food. "I'm back, Mom." When he saw Kyoko on the couch, he smiled. "How are you feeling?"

She smiled back at him. "Much better now that Mom's here. You have food?"

He nodded and went to the kitchen counter to begin unpacking everything. Julie had ordered enough food to feed a dozen people. There was hamburger steak with vegetables, and chicken katsu, with rice and noodles, and an assortment of sushi. Kuon fixed himself a plate, and Julie, upon seeing how little was on it, added two large pieces of chicken. "You're breastfeeding, honey. You need lots of protein."

He sighed. He was never going to get his waistline back with his mother interfering. "Thanks, Mom."

They sat at the dining table to eat. Yukina finished her bottle, and Julie took her into the nursery to put her down for a nap with the boys.

Kuon tucked a stray hair behind Kyoko's ear. "You look a lot less tense. I'm sorry I took so long picking Mom up from the airport. I wanted to surprise you."

She slid her chair over next to him so she could cuddle him while they ate. "It's okay. I'm glad she's here, and really glad that Yukina stopped screaming for a little bit."

Kuon let out a sigh of relief. "I'll second that. Underdeveloped lungs, my ass."

Kyoko giggled and took his hand under the table. "It's going to get better. It's like you said, she's just colicky.

He nodded and squeezed her hand. "There's nothing we can't handle."
