Warriors's POV
We left Mipha at Zora's Domain. The Princess gave her directions to Hyrule castle. She could come when she was ready.
Flora—or rather, this version of her—decided to travel to Rito Village to speak with the warrior Revali.
Sky had filled us in on everything—how they were in Wild's Hyrule but before the Great Calamity (which explains why this Wild didn't have his scars, and why he was sooo… tame.) and possibly in an alternate universe.
The others knew that Sky was the original hero chosen by the goddess, and that tame-Wild was the Knight they were looking for.
They didn't know that there are eight other chosen heroes though. And that there are nine other Links. Or that they are traveling with three of them.
Zelda and her company have already recruited Mipha and Daruk.
I couldn't help but to think of what our Wild would think of this. He would definitely try to help recruit them, to save Hyrule. Even though he would be heartbroken knowing that he was sending his friends into a trap.
I let my mind drift to my old friend. Both literally and figuratively. I've been friends with Wild for roughly two-or-three years. He is also 118 but looks only 18 due to being in suspended animation for one hundred years.
Wild had left the chain a few months ago. He said that his Zelda, Flora, had discovered something that had scared her enough to call him.
He never said what it was. I don't think that his Zelda knew what it was either. Anyway, we haven't heard from him since.
Twilight has been driving himself crazy thinking about possible scenarios that had happened. None good.
I zoned back in on the conversation just as Wind started telling Sky about what's going on with the chain.
"When you disappeared, Time decided that we should hurry on to Lon Lon Ranch to regroup, and get Malon's help." Wind told Sky. "But that turned out to be a bad idea because she immediately ran out of the house to find you."
"Which we really should have predicted would happen." I mused.
Sky nodded.
"Okay so every day a team of two or three would go out and try to find you. I'm pretty sure that by day five we had searched all of Time's f**king Hyrule." Wind said.
Sky gasped. "Wind! Language!" He scolded.
"What do you expect?" Wind asked. "I'm a goddamn pirate!"
Wind's voice had raised a little by the end of his protest, causing me to slap my hand over his mouth before the other could hear.
Wind and Sky knew what I was doing. We looked ahead to the group ahead of us. Thankfully they were out of earshot.
I removed my hand from Wind's face. "Be careful. We don't want them asking questions. Got it?"
Wind nodded.
We continued in silence. We stealthily caught up to the others.
Zelda was entertaining the others by saying how the Divine Beasts were named after the hero of Twilight, who was known as the Divine Beast.
I glanced at the others. They wore similar looks of confusion. How or why is Twilight known as the 'Divine Beast' in later eras?
If anything, Legend should be known as a beast. He has anger issues.
"Why?" Wind spoke up.
Zelda turned back to us in surprise. "Why is the hero of Twilight known as the 'Divine Beast'?" She asked.
Wind nodded. I sighed. This would cause questions if everyone knows why.
But the Princess just smiled. "It's okay. Not many people know why. The hero of Twilight had a beastly form. Or so it says in the ancient texts."
Wind looked about ready to ask more when Impa called for a break.
She, the Princess, and her Knight were all breathing heavily. But we others were fine. We had spent enough time traveling across Wild's Hyrule by foot. We have better stamina then most others, I guess. (It was getting dark though…)
We set up a camp in a cave. Sky shivered as he looked at the solid rock above his head.
The dude used to live in the fricking sky. He doesn't like not being able to see it. Unless the roof comes with a nice soft bed…
Sky, Wind, and I rolled out our mats and blankets before sitting in them and watching everyone else getting ready.
We decided that they were taking too long so we went out to find Wood and food.
Wind and Sky came back with their arms full of branches they found on the ground. I entered the cave holding a net (woven out of grass and vines) full of different mushrooms and other edible plants I could find.
Wild taught me how to cook before he left. Along with Time, Twilight, and Sky. Although we all prefer Wild's cooking. (He also tried teaching Hyrule… it did not go well.)
Wild was also something of a vegetarian, and said that not all people will eat meat, so when cooking for strangers, always have a vegetarian option.
I am also a vegetarian so… I can't stand the thought of innocent animals being killed for no reason!
When I came back the current residents of this Hyrule were staring at Wind and Sky as they started a fire with just two sticks.
I grabbed their attention as well when I dropped my makeshift net of food on the cave floor.
I looked around at the other's sleeping places.
They had set up several tents, each fit to hold around four people, maybe five. That's what took them so long.
Wordlessly I began to prepare our dinner, getting a pot out and doing other preparations as I waited for the fire.
A while later Fried Wild Greens were being devoured by everyone in the cave.
I ate slowly. The taste of my food was nothing like the taste of Wild's. I wonder if this version of him could cook as well.
I shrugged and continued eating.
Later, after everyone was done eating, I volunteered to take the first watch. Link had second and Impa third.
I looked out of the cave, wondering what was going to happen next, and if-when we will be reunited with the rest of the chain.
The little guardian—I honestly forgot that he was here—scuttled up to me. I raised my eyebrow. The guardian began to whistle a nice tune. My eyebrow went higher. He continued to play that song.
