When you have a house full of small children, the only time to wrap gifts is late at night, when they're asleep. And considering Mike's travel schedule, the only time he gets to help is now, a good ten days away from the actual holiday. So he and AJ are sitting across from each other on the floor, lost in wrapping and taping in between soft instrumental music. "Do you think you'll be able to hide these from them for ten days?" Mike wonders, sliding another box onto the pile.

"Oh yeah," AJ says. "I know all of the good hiding places. No worries there." She stretches out after taping another box shut, burying her toes under his legs. "Keep me warm," she fusses.

He looks up at her, then shifts to cover her toes more thoroughly. "That good?"

"It'll do," she says, smiling at him. "So, I bet you've already had the best possible Christmas gift you could get, huh." He looks confused and she laughs. "Gunther agreeing to give you a rematch for the Intercontinental title."

"Yeah," he says, tongue between his teeth as he puts another gift together. "Who knew finally making things right with Ciampa would lead to that? Karma is something else."

AJ chuckles. "How did that come about, anyway?"

"Eh, Gargano set it up," Mike says, setting the gift aside. "He was looking for a partner, and I guess had the big idea to team with another Ohioian. I'm still amazed Ciampa agreed to it, but I think we worked together pretty well."

She chuckled. "You did, amazingly enough. The look on Ciampa's face, though. Oh boy."

He scoffs. "He came around pretty quickly once I helped them getting the win."

She smirks. "Well, yeah, they usually do." She nudges him with her toes. "This time around, will you text the man?"

Mike scoffs. "I really hope we don't get to that point."

"Oh come on, you collect random tag partners like they're trading cards, and once you have them, you never fully get rid of them." She leans forward and kisses him. "I'm 99% certain we definitely have not seen the last of Miz and DIY."

He shakes his head woefully. "The negative aspect of sharing a common enemy." Despite the tone of his words, he can't help but smile a little as he returns to wrapping and taping and everything else.
