10 Months Later
Izuku woke up feeling something wet slide across his cheek. He tried to ignore it a few times until the feeling started getting enthusiastic. Opening his eyes, he saw Itsuka with her tongue out, wearing the collar, leash, and dog ears he had bought her a while back. Her artificial tail wagged excitedly. Izuku had been surprised to learn that were-creatures didn't grow ears and tails when they changed; they just became bulkier and far more aggressive.
"Woof!" she barked playfully.
Izuku looked at her and noticed she was fully clothed in her school uniform, her skirt pushed up from behind because of the tail.
'Not going that far today, I see,' he thought as he greeted her, "Good morning, Itsuka." He scratched her behind the ear, eliciting a blissful moan.
Having a beautiful girl wake him up like that did certain things to the body of a teenage male, but her attire indicated she wasn't up for anything super raunchy this morning. Izuku made a quick trip to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for her. He finished making a sandwich and set it down on the floor in front of her, watching as she started eating on all fours like a dog would. He left her be, knowing that dogs hated being disturbed while eating, and made his way to the dining table to eat breakfast with his mom.
"Where's Itsuka-chan, Izuku? She said she'd be waking you up before going to your room," his mom asked.
"I gave her something to eat for breakfast," Izuku replied. "She prefers to be left alone in peace when eating, so I'll get her after I finish eating."
"Oh, I see. Must've been problematic for her during lunch period," his mom commented.
"You don't know the half of it," Izuku said with a smirk, recalling some of their lunchtime activities.
After finishing his breakfast, he quietly returned to the room where Itsuka was staying. The soft morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow on the space. He saw her, breakfast finished, sitting on the floor. She looked up with a smile playing on her lips. With a silent understanding, Izuku praised her, "Good girl," while rubbing her belly. After a few minutes, knowing they'd be late otherwise, they ended their play. As per their usual tradition, he grabbed the leash and pulled it so she'd look up at him, then started removing the ears and tail attached to you-know-where. He made a mental note to give her more rewards one of these days.
They made their way to UA to take the Entrance Exam. Izuku had decided to be a Hero first for now instead of a Paladin, since on the surface, it was practically the same. He wasn't yet fully equipped to become a Paladin; it would take him decades to even have enough money to buy the basic armor from the gnomes, and that would still take years to complete, if not decades. If he survived long enough, he planned to use the next few decades to earn enough to support himself. It wasn't like he could continue being a hero forever—eventually, someone would notice that he didn't age.
To avoid any misunderstanding, or in this case, just plain ol' understanding, they agreed that if they departed from the same house, they wouldn't walk too close to each other. Izuku offered to let her go first, but she rejected it, saying being behind him let her watch for any danger targeting him. He let it go because he knew he wouldn't win that argument. Though not before giving her a playful spank on the ass.
With determination pulsating in his veins, Izuku strode toward the towering gates of the prestigious school for heroes, the weight of anticipation hanging in the air. The morning sunlight illuminated the grand facade, and as he approached, a surge of nerves mingled with excitement. Beyond those gates lay the path to a destiny shaped by the upcoming entrance exam, a challenge that would test his mettle and determine the course of his journey toward becoming a hero.
Lost in admiration of the prestigious surroundings, a light tap on his shoulder snapped him from his thoughts. Turning around, he found Kinoko, his long-time friend, standing there with a shy smile. Her presence brought a familiar comfort, yet there was an unspoken tension beneath the surface—a yearning that lingered in her gaze, a desire she hadn't found the courage to voice. He greeted her with genuine warmth.
Mid-stride toward the school's entrance, an unexpected stumble sent him careening forward. Just as gravity threatened to claim its victory, a pair of hands reached out, steadying his fall. Startled, he looked up to find someone familiar. Someone he had met once ten months ago.
"Are you all right, My Knight?" she asked, wearing a beautiful smile that brightened his world. "My apologies for using my quirk on you without your permission. But it would be nothing short of a bad premonition of bad luck should you fall, right?" She continued, "It is also a pleasure to meet you once again, My Knight."
It was Ochaco, wearing a light dress with floral pattern. Her beauty made Izuku lose his breath for a moment, before regaining his composure.
"Yeah, it's great to finally meet you again. And yeah, that would've sucked a lot. Thanks for that," Izuku said, feeling his face heat up. 'Come on, get your act together, Izuku, it's not like you have no experience with women.'
"No worries, Sir Knight. Compared to what you've done for me, that is hardly anything. Without you, it might have claimed my life, or worse, captured me," Ochaco replied.
"Maybe we can have dinner on Friday in return?" Izuku suggested.
"That does sound interesting," she said.
"It's a date, then," I said.
"It certainly does seem like it, Sir Knight," she answered.
"Izuku. Just...call me Izuku, Ochaco," he said with as bright of a smile as he could manage.
"All right, Izuku then," she said. If she wondered why he had her call him by his first name despite only meeting once, she didn't mention it. "Are you enrolling for a Hero course as well?"
"Yeah, I'm taking the entrance exam here. What about you?"
"Yes, I am. Though I'm going to be enrolled as a recommendation student. So I do hope we meet each other in class," she said.
"You better bet we will, my Princess," he said with a smile, fully certain it would be so for some reason. This earned a chuckle from her.
"Well then, I better go for now before I cause you to be late for your exam, Izuku. I'll also need to finish the process of moving," she said.
"Alright, just let me know if you need any help. It's no playing poker, but I'm confident I'll be happy to help regardless," he offered.
"It'll be all right. We have servants if need be. Goodbye for now and see you on Friday, My Knight," she said, walking away.
'Holy crap! I've got a date!' Izuku thought, feeling his face becoming red. 'Calm down, me. I have no idea what it is, but there's something special about her.'
He felt someone staring at him and looked behind to see Kinoko and Itsuka there.
'I totally forgot about them for a second there.'
Itsuka had a very defeated and timid look, so unlike her usual self, similar to the ones she had when he scolded her during her training as a pup. Komori looked like she was on the verge of bursting into tears.
A few minutes ago
Itsuka kept a close watch on Izuku, trailing about 50 meters behind to ensure he stayed out of trouble. This way, it wouldn't seem odd that they weren't walking together despite their closeness, and she would still have ample time to react if anything happened. She felt proud of herself for being such a good girl and hoped for praise or perhaps even a reward from her master. Preferably, something intimate.
'Dangit, 'Suka. Quit being horny for the resident Demi-God, would you? Forget rewarding you, he'll just likely punish you instead.'
She paused for a moment, thinking.
'Maybe he'll pull on my leash, order me to get naked, and walk me outside in broad daylight while I'm on all fours. Maybe he'll fuck me while others can only watch, letting them know whom I belong to-'
ARGGHH 'STOP IT!'
"It's a date, then," she heard him say.
'What? He's hitting on someone?'
"It certainly does seem like it, Sir Knight," the girl responded.
It didn't take much for Itsuka to recognize who she was. The Princess of Blood, King Arthur's great-granddaughter. 'But what was the Fae Princess doing here, of all places?' she thought.
After listening for a moment, she got her answer. The Princess was going to be part of the hero course. That was unexpected, but it wasn't the main thing on Itsuka's mind right now. In fact, she wasn't even paying attention to Kinoko, who wore a very distraught face at that moment.
As she looked at Izuku and the Princess, she saw how engrossed they were in each other. The Princess's eyes conveyed admiration, curiosity, and infatuation. Izuku's eyes disregarded the world around them, focusing only on her. A gaze that said only she was worth looking at.
Then it came back to Itsuka: the anxiety and the fear of losing him. Only, he was as safe as could be. The Princess's presence alone inside these walls likely meant top heroes were ensuring nothing slipped by. No, this wasn't a fear for his life, but rather a reminder of what could never be. She had been living a dream, trying to have as much carnal fun with Izuku these past few years. It allowed her to think she was sparing him from getting hurt by allowing them to sleep with each other with no strings attached. Every time he touched her, her emotions were soothed. Every time he kissed her, her heart soared. Every night together, she constantly wished tomorrow not to come. Not yet. She had taken the cake and eaten it too.
Yet here in front of her, Izuku gazed at the Princess with eyes full of love. Eyes she had never seen him make before. Not to his exes, not to Kinoko, and not even to her.
Of course, he wouldn't. At the end of the day, they were just a single tiny blip in his long life, for her, half so.
Nobody liked Arthur, from what she'd been told, yet no one could deny his fighting skills. Some even believed he used to be a God. If that were so, then even if the Princess's Spark wasn't as pure as Izuku's, she would still live for a long while. She was someone who could actually stand by his side.
'Tomorrow had come, huh?'
As the two finished their conversation, Itsuka couldn't find the will to do anything. She hated this feeling. She didn't even feel jealous; she only felt despair.
She saw Izuku comforting Kinoko, hugging her tightly and reassuring her that he would still be there for them. 'She didn't seem like she got the nuance of what he just said,' and she just smiled. But Itsuka did, and she hated it.
Izuku started patting her head and scratching behind her ears. It took everything she had to remind herself not to bark. It was unconventional, but he just knew how to make her feel better.
'Damnit, I'm down bad.'
They then walked to the exam building, Itsuka finally feeling ready to make her Master proud.
After cheering up both Itsuka and Itsuka, Izuku headed to the exam building with them. There were all sorts of people there, including some familiar faces from middle school, like the guy with a floating speech bubble for a head and the walking school uniform. Unsurprisingly, Katsuki was there too, but Izuku was surprised to see Neito. They didn't go to the same high school, so he wasn't sure if Neito wanted to be a hero or not.
Lights started turning on, and music began to play.
"FOR ALL YOU EXAMINEE LISTENERS TUNING IN...WELCOME TO MY SHOW TODAY!" A blond man in all leather began speaking at the podium. "It's the Voice Hero, Present Mic!" Izuku said, recognizing him immediately.
"EVERYBODY SAY 'HEY!'" Present Mic shouted.
"HEEEYYY!" Izuku shouted back. It seemed like he was the only one who did. 'Oh well, their loss.'
"THANK YOU, YOU BIG LISTENER OVER THERE!" Present Mic said, pointing in Izuku's direction. "I'M GOING TO QUICKLY PRESENT TO YOU THE RUNDOWN OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM! ARE YOU READY?!"
"YEAAHH!" Izuku shouted again.
"YOU ARE BEGINNING TO BE MY FAVORITE LISTENER BY FAR!" Present Mic said as he pointed in Izuku's direction. He then continued, "AS IT SAYS IN THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS, YOU LISTENERS WILL BE CONDUCTING TEN-MINUTE MOCK URBAN BATTLES AFTER THIS! YOU CAN BRING WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH YOU. AFTER THE PRESENTATION, YOU'LL HEAD TO THE SPECIFIED BATTLE CENTER ON YOUR CARD, OKAY?" He said as the screen showed the different designation letters they would be sent to.
Izuku and his friends had received their designations earlier. None of them were going to be in the same exam area.
'It made sense, considering they wouldn't want any particular pair of students to team up and have an unfair advantage,' he thought.
"Looks like we're going to different places after all. I'm in B," Izuku said to the two of them.
"Right, shroom. I'm in A. I'm feeling nervous, shroom~," Komori-san said. Izuku patted her head to calm her down.
"You're going to do great there, Komori-san. There are hardly any people I know more amazing than you are. So grab ahold of your dream and crush this exam. Show them the Komori-san I've admired for the past six years," he told her, which made her face turn red but filled with determination.
"He's right, Kinoko. Don't you worry about it and just give it your best!" Itsuka said.
"Right, thanks you two," Kinoko said.
Present Mic then explained that there would be three types of faux-villains they would be fighting inside the battle center, each with a different number of points associated with them once they were taken down.
A blue-haired guy with rectangular glasses stood up and asked a question, which Present Mic allowed.
"On the printout, there are four types of villains. If that is a misprint, then UA, the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake," he said.
'Isn't that too much? Also, it literally says on the same page he's brandishing it's worth 0 points. Obviously, it's not a misprint,' Izuku thought.
"We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes," the guy continued. "In addition, you there with the curly hair," he pointed at Izuku. Izuku looked behind him to see if there were any others with curly hair since he hadn't done anything to him. "Yes, you! You've been flirting around with girls ever since I saw you at the gate. It's disgusting. If you're here for a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately."
"Okay, first of all, FUCK...YOU," Izuku said while flipping him off with both hands. "I'm encouraging a fellow examinee, another future hero, so she can take this exam with ease. It's something someone aspiring to be a hero would do. If it disgusts you so much, then you should be the one leaving, future villain. Go! Before I put some dirt in your eye," he said while giving him a death stare. Izuku had been dealing with monsters way above this...chump for years. He wouldn't stand to be insulted by him.
Izuku was impressed by his will. The guy was tearing up in fear, yet still standing straight. Either that or he was too paralyzed to even change how he stood.
"Oh look at our little future villain jr. What's the matter, gonna cry?" Izuku taunted.
"I...I am...not a future villain!" the blue-haired guy managed to squeeze out with his willpower.
"OKAY! OKAY! HOW ABOUT WE BREAK IT UP? I KNOW YOU LISTENERS ARE TENSE BECAUSE OF THE EXAM, BUT ON THE PLUS SIDE, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO RELEASE ALL THAT AGGRESSION AT THE ROBOTS RATHER THAN EACH OTHER," Present Mic intervened.
He was right. No use ki...maiming other examinees here. Izuku tried to think of happy thoughts: the date on Friday, seeing Ochaco every weekday. Surprisingly, the anger he felt disappeared as if it evaporated into thin air. 'Huh. Neat,' he thought.
Present Mic explained that the last robot was a zero-pointer ('as it literally said so on the same page. Sigh') and more of an obstacle they should avoid since there were no points for destroying it.
Izuku said his goodbyes to Kinoko and Itsuka as they moved to the buses going to their respective Battle Arenas.
After getting off the bus, Izuku stood outside a gate of impressive size, roughly four stories tall.
'Damn,' he thought. He looked at some of the people taking the exam and found nobody that stood out. Unless any of them was a Mage, which he was terrible at detecting, he didn't think he would have a problem competing against these people. 'Oh, right. The blue-haired guy was there too. As long as he didn't get in my way, I had no reason to instigate anything. The exam was more important,' he thought.
"OKAY, START!" Present Mic said, and Izuku ran inside the fake city while the gate was still partially opening.
The city was well-made. The thought of it being partially destroyed by hundreds of students in each sector made him shudder at the cost.
'Were they being sponsored by a Power or someone like that?'
Several robots gathered around him: a three-pointer, four two-pointers, and three one-pointers.
'Saves me the trouble of finding them, I guess,' he thought.
"Deal Cards," he said. He concentrated a PAIR's amount of pure force around his arm and grabbed the three-pointer, which he used to smash the other robots to pieces.
'That's 14 points. Not bad, but I'll need way more to make sure I'll pass,' he thought.
He continued around the area, trying to find clusters of robots to make it more efficient. This continued until there were only two minutes left on the clock.
'I'm still at 87 points.' He didn't know how high others' scores would be, so he was trying to get as many as possible. While the downside of not being with his friends during the exam was not being able to work together, the upside was that he had no reason to hold back for their safety...or to avoid outing his actual power, he guessed. Unfortunately, he could barely find any robots now, clustered or not, so he was stuck in the 80s. He realized he had gotten lucky during the first 20 seconds.
'That, or someone controlling the robot made it so that it avoided me,' he mused.
Meanwhile in the observation room
In the dark room, several individuals, including Pro Heroes and beings from other realms, watched the exam.
"In this practical exam, the examinees have not been informed of the number of villains or their locations. They have a limited amount of time in a vast area. They have to gather the villains from there," a mouse? A dog? A bear? Or something said.
"Information gathering ability to understand the situation before anyone else," it continued as the screen showed a student with web-like arms.
"Mobility that can be used in many different circumstances," it said as the blue-haired boy with glasses ran around the city.
"Discernment to be able to stay calm in any situation," this time showing a blond boy with lasers coming out of his belly.
"And pure combat ability," it then cut to both Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku.
"These basic abilities needed to keep the peace in the streets are turned into points in this test."
"Doesn't this year's group look promising?" a woman with long, thick, spiky dark purple hair said.
"Well, we can't know for sure yet. Their true test is still to come," said another person, a man who then flipped the safety cover of a button labeled "Yaruki Switch."
Back at the Battle Center Izuku POV
As Izuku scanned the surroundings, the ground beneath him began to tremble, sending shockwaves of confusion through the air. His attention snapped to a colossal robot emerging from the horizon, its towering seven-story frame casting a shadow over the landscape. The mechanical giant loomed ominously, shifting the atmosphere from anticipation to tense realization. The entrance exam was about to take an unexpected turn.
Everyone else in the area started running away in the opposite direction. Izuku stood there, wondering about the point of the giant robot. It obviously wasn't meant to be defeated; if someone could consistently beat a robot like that, they wouldn't need the school. Time spent in it could have been used to train their quirks, and obtaining a Pro license didn't necessarily require attending a hero school. Passing the exam would still recognize one as a hero.
"OUCH!" he heard someone shout.
The chaos unfolded as debris crashed down from the colossal robot's wake, trapping someone underneath. Izuku recognized the person as the walking uniform. Her desperate cries for help echoed in the disarray. Without a second thought, adrenaline coursing through his veins, he rushed towards the wreckage. Time hung suspended as he worked quickly to free her, each moment crucial as her safety depended on his prompt actions. The urgency of the situation intensified, turning the entrance exam into an unforeseen test of courage and heroism.
'So that's its purpose,' Izuku thought, removing the final piece trapping the girl.
"Can you walk?" he asked her as the robot came closer.
"Sorry, I can't." Her ankle was injured.
"It's okay, you don't have to apologize. I'll bring you somewhere safe," Izuku said, but realized more wreckage was being brought down by the giant robot. There was no guarantee no one else was trapped or unconscious. The only way to search for them was if the robot stopped first. He carried the girl in a bridal style, running as fast as he could to a safe distance from the robot.
He gently laid her down on the ground and started to go back.
"Wait! Where are you going? You'll get hurt," she said.
"Don't worry. I'll be okay," Izuku reassured her, unsure how much that worked as he ran towards the robot again.
"Deal Cards," he shouted, playing the hand he was given.
"Full House," he declared, using pure force to launch the robot dozens of meters into the air. He then looked at the next set of cards and laughed a bit, unsure if he was lucky or not, but having no choice.
"ROYAL FLUSH!" he yelled, as flames with temperatures equal to multiple times the core of a planet shot out of his hands. The searing heat engulfed the colossal robot, disintegrating its metallic form. Glass shattered, and concrete melted in the wake of the radiated heat, a display of power that surpassed any expectations.
Izuku ran back to the other examinees. He still needed to check if anyone else was trapped. He was terrible at detecting presence, so the only way to make sure was to brute force it with sheer numbers.
Meanwhile in the observation room
In the dark room, several individuals, including Pro Heroes and beings from other realms, watched the exam.
"Would you look at that, a very promising student. He didn't just stop after vaporizing the robot; he's even leading his classmates to search and make sure no other examinees are trapped," the chimera-looking creature said.
"So that's what they're yammering about," said a tall man with long red hair and a red beard and mustache.
"Rat, I'll go ahead and have this one in my class," he said.
"Sure, but you'll have to take another one," the rat (?) said.
"So I have to uproot all my clients on the other side of the globe just for this kid? That brute?" said a woman with blonde hair and grey eyes.
"Careful now, you might bite off more than you can chew with that one, you camwhore," the redhead said, walking away.
"Damned Bruisers. Relics of the past still thinking the word 'hero' revolves around them," the blonde muttered under her breath.
"By the way, I've tallied up the score of our little Evoker here and as such, I've got the names who'd be in your class," the rat (?) said, handing her a short list of students.
She was unused to having such a small class, but then what else could she expect from a backwater country like Japan? She scanned the names, one of them bringing a smile to her face.
'Things will get interesting,' she thought.
How'd you like it? I just got back from a trip with my family so I wasn't able to put out the chapters for a few days.
So, how'd you like our two new teachers? I wonder whose name it is that the MILF found interesting. Hint: It's not Izuku. Wait, is it still MILF if she's a virgin? Oh well.
Just in case anyone asks, neither of them is getting added to the harem. Sorry, the teacher part of the harem is only Midnight and (possibly) 13. 'Cuz why not? She's underused.
Hinted at a few things here that will be important later on. Hehe. Hopefully, it's not too obvious it spoils things but not obscure enough that it defeats the purpose of a foreshadowing.
