This is but the first of a fanfic crossover I'm doing, I seen a few crossovers of LOTR but they are... not quite how I like them, so I decided to make my own, I've always had this feeling inside me that every time I've watched the films that my imagination plays out with KH characters in it, it's just incredible, but after SO long of feeling it, I said to myself "I'm going to do it!" also I would appreciate if you tell me what you think of the title, I'm terrible at naming, if you think it should stay the way it is just leave a comment, also expect future adjustments to help make it look better as we go along, btw Sora, Kairi & Riku will be in KH3 gear.

Additionally, I made adjustments to the first chapter and made it longer, what happened was that yesterday I was doing the second chapter which would've included Bilbo's party, but instead I paused and thought "Why do that when I can just put it in the first chapter." but you all probably figured what the next chapter will be like, let's see how it get's done eah?

(Mysterious Tower)

Inside the very tower which was home to the very powerful wizard and also retired Keyblade Master was Master Yen Sid, even though he no longer wields a Keyblade he still keeps a watchful eye on the balance between Light & Darkness, also he is very powerful in magic.

Six Keyblade wielders were gathered at Yen Sid's desk as he was sitting at his chair with his eyes were closed almost like he was meditating in his own way.

The Six that were summoned was Sora, Kairi, Riku which was the Destiny Trio, also Terra, Aqua and Ventus, the Wayfinder Trio, before they were summoned some were training and going around worlds to make sure they were okay from any incoming darkness, despite the intentions of the new Organization XIII led by the one who started the whole thing and tried to turn Sora into one of his vessels, Master Xehanort, again despite them, the fights between Sora and his friends against the forces of darkness and light always prevailed.

But unfortunately, the reason of the summoning wasn't because of Master Xehanort, this was something else, Yen Sid's eyes opened as he starts looking towards the group of Keyblade wielder as they were already tense and waiting for his answer.

"There is a great shadow that is starting to awake, in another world which is far, even beyond the sight the Organization XIII." Yen Sid stated deeply which has sent chills down the backs of the wielders with shocked expressions.

"What is this shadow, Master?" Kairi asked as she stepped forward as she can already fear it without knowing with her being the Princess of Heart.

"One to rule them all, One to find them, One to bring them all to darkness and bind them!" Yen Sid described what this "Shadow" can do if it isn't stopped.

The Destiny Trio were shock from what the old master described, but the Wayfinder seemed somehow familiar with it and already fears it.

"Well... if this "Shadow" is something that needs to be dealt with, I'm sure there's no problem." Sora thought out loud as used his usual smile, but received a glare from Kairi, Riku, but before they can say anything, Yen Sid stood up as his chair was pushed back loudly.

"No Sora," Sora felt the anger of the glare his was given "The shadow is the very darkness everyone should fear, after a long time of silence, he has returned and should he rule one world, he could rule others beyond his."

Everyone was in silence as it now expressed deep concern should what Yen Sid said happen.

"Sauron" Aqua said which broke the silence and turned all attention to her "The Dark Lord has returned?" the old master sat back down as Aqua said the name of the shadow.

"Yes, Aqua, but as you already it was not the first that he has returned as he has deceived many." Aqua nodded her head in agreement along with Terra and Ven.

Sora was wondering how they knew about the dark lord, but something tells him that they've been to this world before, long before he became a Keyblade wielder.

"Sora, Riku, Kairi." As their names were heard they looked straight towards the old master "What you hear does not deceive you, and yes, Aqua, Terra, Ventus, has been to this world before, long before you emerged as Keyblade wielders yourselves." they gasped at this information, as much they want to ask them, but they have to worry what's important first.

"What is this world, Master?" Riku asked as he stepped forward.

"A world that's inhabitant with various creatures, where there was a great battle long ago, unlike the Keyblade War, it was an alliance between races to destroy the Enemy, The Dark Lord Sauron was defeated, but he has returned."

"Sora, you and the others in this room must travel to the world known as Middle-earth, and help the side of good to defeat the dark lord." The boy nodded understanding what needs to be done.

"I've already sent messages to Lea, Mickey, Donald and Goofy, I'm afraid they won't be joining you." Yen Sid declared, Sora along with others kind of saddened to know they won't be joining.

"But if I know Mickey, he'll look out for Donald and Goofy." Riku said with smile of confidence.

"Yeah, Donald and Goofy have been around Mickey long before me, I bet they can handle anything like me." Sora smiled as he agreed with Riku he rolled his eyes but still smiled, Kairi giggled.

"They'll be fine including Lea, I know it!" Ven thought out loud as Terra and Aqua laughed and agreed by nodding.

"Very well" Yen Sid said with a smile "I wish you all on a safe journey, when you arrive, seek out a wizard who will help you on your quest," Aqua, Terra and Ven nodded as they knew who his was talking about "but be careful, the shadow will have many allies so trust in your friends."

"May your Hearts be your Guiding Key."

After hearing that, Sora stood to attention and then walks toward the exit with the others following behind him.

As the old master sees them all leave and as soon it was just him, he closed his eyes focuses his mind.

"I hope they can make it in time, before the enemy can find what he wants most of all." Yen Sid said to himself with concern.

Outside the tower, the wielders were preparing for the journey, as soon as they board the gummi ship, they took to the Lanes Between so they can plot a course for Middle-earth.

Yen Sid saw the ship as it took off and still hopes they'll arrive in time.

Much that once was... is lost

THE LORD OF THE RINGS, FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING

It began with the forging of the Great Rings, Three were given to the Elves, Immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings.

Seven to the Dwarf-lords, Great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls.

And Nine... nine rings were gifted to the race of Men... who above all else, desire power.

For within these rings was bound the strength and will to govern each race.

But they were all of them deceived, for another Ring was made...

In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom... the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret a Master Ring... to control all others.

And into this Ring he poured his cruelty, his malice... and his will to dominate all life.

One Ring to rule them all.

One by one... the free lands of Middle-Earth fell to the power of the Ring.

But there were some who resisted.

Armies of Men & Elves were matching towards the hordes of Mordor as they hear grunts and growls of Orcs.

A Last Alliance of Men and Elves marched against the armies of Mordor.

And on the slopes of Mount Doom, they fought for the freedom of Middle-Earth.

Men and Elf archers release their arrows as Orcs on the high ground were falling towards the ground shot from those arrows, but a large of horde of Orcs were charging towards the army of Elves.

The Elves on the front raised their shields.

"Hold your positions!" The Elf Lord leading the army was giving orders while speaking Elvish, the archers prepared their bows and aimed waiting for orders "Fire your arrows!" and they fired hitting the Orcs as they were still coming, the elves at front prepared their glaives, the horde didn't know what hit them as soon the Elves spined their glaives as they got close.

Soon enough Men were fighting side by side with the Elves and the man who was king leading his army raised his sword as he charged forward yelling.

Victory was near...

The Elf stopped in his position as he saw something coming, soon another man a prince stopped and saw it too.

But the power of the Ring... could not be undone.

A tall black figure with walking towards the centre with the Ring in his right hand and holding a mace with two hands.

The king from before saw this along with his troops and trying to keep a brave face on it, as they knew who they were staring at, Sauron.

Men & Elves were staring at the dark lord almost in fear, and then he swung his mace and people were thrown everywhere by the power of the Ring as it empowered his mace while holding it.

The king charged at Sauron with his sword but before he could hit him, the mace hit him in the head and thrown towards the rocks and dropped his sword as dropped to the ground not moving at all indicating he was dead

It was in this moment... when all hope had faded...

The prince ran over to him and took off his helmet and cried a bit, he looked back and see that Sauron stepping towards him.

That Isildur, son of the king, took up his father's sword.

The prince made a grabbed for his father's sword and then the dark lord stepped on it breaking on it and only had the handle with the broken blade, then Sauron made a grab for him but then Isildur in one sweep yelling, sliced the dark lords right hand fingers off as he screams in pain, as they dropped to the ground, Isildur noticed the One Ring on the finger he sliced off, he sits up in shock and notices it.

But then a white light and wind was blowing towards what appears to be Sauron, Men and Elves backed away and knelt down, and they were right to because the dark lord exploded with a huge shockwave sending every Men and Elf to the ground.

Bits and pieces of armour were dropping to the ground including the helmet which smoke was blowing out of it.

Sauron, the enemy of the Free Peoples of Middle-earth, was defeated.

As soon as the smoke cleared, Isildur grabbed the severed finger that had the Ring and then squeezed the finger which turned into black dust

The Ring passed to Isildur... who had this one chance to destroy evil forever.

But the Hearts of Men... are easily corrupted, and the Ring of Power has a will of its own.

Isildur along with his men were riding on horses across the land, with the Ring strapped around a chain around his neck, but soon he turned his head and heard an Orc jumping on him knocking him off his horse, more came and ambushed the escort, there were too many as Isildur stared in shock then ripped the Ring off his neck and then puts it on which turned him invisible and then he ran through the bushes leaving his escort, he then made a dive for the river as it splashed.

Soon enough Isildur was revealed as the Ring left his finger and before he can reach for it, it floated even more away from his hand.

It betrayed Isildur...

Orcs soon spotted the prince in the water and the archers fired at him in the back, killing him as he flinched and began floating down the river.

To his death.

And some things that should not have been forgotten... were lost

History became legend, legend became myth, and for two and a half thousand years, the Ring passed out of all knowledge.

Until, when chance came.

The Ring was buried under some sand, but its gold did show and then a hand reached out for it and grabbed it in the palm of the hand.

It ensnared a new bearer.

The hand opened up revealing the Ring which the new bearer has found "My precious." the voice said as it echoed throughout the cave

The Ring came to the creature Gollum, who took it deep inside the Misty Mountains, and there, it consumed him.

In the Gollum's cave there's skeletons of fish on the floor, also there was a pond too which is only standing but still flows it's reflecting on the cave walls, Gollum was obsessed with the Ring as he speaks of how much he admires it.

The Ring brought to Gollum unnatural long life, for 500 hundred years it poisoned his mind, and in the gloom of Gollum's cave, it waited.

Darkness crept back in the forests of the world; rumour grew of a shadow in the East... whispers of a nameless fear.

And the Ring of Power perceived... its time had now come.

The Ring bounced off the rocks away from Gollum.

It abandoned Gollum.

But something happened then that the Ring did not intend.

It was laying between the fish bones on the ground, and then a hand outstretched and grabbed the Ring.

It was picked up by the most unlikely creature imaginable.

"What's this?" the figure said as he picked it up and held it between his fingers.

A Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins of the Shire.

"A ring." Bilbo breathed in excitement as he held it, "Lost!" the hobbit heard the scream and then stood up in fear and puts the Ring in his left pocket "My precious is lost!"

For the time will soon come... when Hobbits will shape the fortunes of all.

(Middle-earth)

Flashes of light appeared in a forest and then emerge Sora and Kairi, the lights soon faded and they looked around and noticed they were in a forest and the sun was shining nicely on the tress.

"Did Aqua gave us the wrong position to find the wizard Master Yen Sid said to?" Sora asked as he walked about while Kairi just stood still admiring the green as she smiled.

"I don't know Sora, but it's beautiful." Kairi commented and soon Sora admired it too and looked towards the princess of heart who had her back and smiled "I could sit down and read a book."

Sora laughed as Kairi was loving the world even more and couldn't help but think it would be nice for other things too, but soon was cut short as he heard what sounded like singing in the distance, even Kairi turned to towards where it was coming from, soon both of them ran off towards the source.

There were getting close and soon it stopped but that didn't stop them and started hearing voices that were talking and then some laughter.

Sora was the first on the small hill and saw a tall man and a little man, soon Kairi appeared and both smiled.

"Excuse me?" Sora asked and soon caught the attention of the two as they looked towards them, the tall one looked in surprised.

"Oh, how might I help you two young travellers?" The old one questioned as his face was revealed under his pointy hat.

"Well, actually we're looking for someone." Sora told which made the old one even more surprised.

"He's actually a wizard we're looking for, we're told that he could help us." Kairi described and soon the old man stroked his beard and the little man was smirking at him and the two soon laughed as they exchanged faces, soon Kairi smirked too "And I think I think we already found him."

"Huh?" Sora dumbfounded and the princess soon giggled at the boy's face and then jumped down and soon followed.

"You are indeed right young lady, I'm Gandalf, and here is a very dear friend Frodo Baggins, a Hobbit of the Shire." The wizard introduced himself and the Hobbit who said hello to the travellers.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Sora, and this is Kairi." Sora introduced as he reached his hand out and shakes Gandalf's and Kairi did too.

"You two are just in time, I was on my way to Bilbo's birthday, care to hitch a ride?" Gandalf asked and the two were surprised to hear it was someone's birthday and then jumped into the wagon accepting the offer, to their surprised it looked like it was loaded with fireworks, everyone soon laughed and Gandalf sets off and soon they crossed into a field following the road where there was a goat tied to a fence, Kairi was again admiring the nature and Sora was looking at the front as they go.

"So how is the old rascal?" Gandalf asked as he was smoking his pipe "I hear it's going to be a party of special magnificence."

"You know Bilbo, he's got the whole place in an uproar." Frodo said, the boy in the back was listening and was already excited and Kairi giggled.

"Well, that should please him." Gandalf commented making everyone laugh a bit.

"Half the Shire's been invited, and the rest of them are turning up anyway." Frodo laughed along with Gandalf, soon they passed a field and Sora & Kairi were soon staring in amazement.

Soon enough they crossing the bridge through the little town where every Hobbit was busy, Sora & Kairi were impressed with the view since they were riding on Gandalf's wagon then they saw the hill that was home to many Hobbits.

"This is amazing, the land, the people, everything." Kairi commented as others looked at her and smiled "I wonder what Bilbo's birthday party will be like?" Sora laughed as she asked that.

"I bet it will be amazing, as long he doesn't mind if we came along." Sora commented and Kairi giggled, Frodo laughed a bit.

"I don't think he'll mind at all, you two can come along if you want." Frodo suggested and that made Sora smile even more and Kairi was already excited.

"To tell you the truth, Bilbo's been a bit odd lately." Frodo added in concern which has turned all the attention to towards him.

"I mean, more than usual." Frodo claimed "He's taken to locking himself in his study, he spends hours and hours poring over old maps when he thinks I'm not looking, he's up to something." he wondered as Gandalf turned his face and stares and looks away as Frodo turns to look and concentrates on the road.

"What about you two?" Sora & Kairi looked at each other in wonder what might be wrong with Bilbo, but they didn't know either, Frodo turns towards Gandalf again then smiles.

"All right then keep your secrets." Frodo smirked which made the wizard face the Hobbit "What?"

"But I know you have something to do with it."

"Good gracious me."

"Before you came along, we Bagginses were very well thought of." Frodo declared.

"Indeed.

"Never had any adventures or did anything unexpected." Frodo pointed out in which made the two in the back look in surprise.

"If you're referring to the incident with the dragon, I was barely involved." Gandalf declared as he recalls the adventure Bilbo was on long ago "All I did was give your uncle a little nudge out of the door."

"Well, whatever you did, you've been officially labelled a disturber of the peace." Frodo told the wizard who was surprised as soon he turned his head and saw a Hobbit with an expression on his face sweeping up his front yard and soon his wife stepped out.

Sora & Kairi saw the Hobbit too and waved hello, but received no response, they guessed that some were stubborn, soon they heard happy yells like children approaching the wagon calling Gandalf's name and praising for fireworks, the two along with Frodo looked towards Gandalf as he smirks a bit, then the fireworks in the wagon went off surprising Sora & Kairi and the kids cheered, Frodo & Gandalf laughs as they did.

"Well, that's nothing disturbing about it." Sora claimed as he laughed along with Kairi, Frodo & Gandalf.

"Gandalf?" Frodo told as he stood up on the wagon "I'm glad your back."

"So am I dear boy." Gandalf said as the Hobbit then stepped off the wagon waving bye and Sora & Kairi waved too "So am I."

Soon they reached were climbing the hill towards Bag-End, home of Frodo & Bilbo, Kairi saw the view and it was amazing, Sora loved how much she was happy, soon the ride came to a halt and stopped at the front of the house.

Gandalf stepped off and Sora helped Kairi off and followed the wizard as he pushes the gate and they read the sign on it, as soon they reached the top, the two was looking around on the garden at how nice it was.

"I couldn't help but think, why were you two travellers' looking for me?" Gandalf asked the two drawing their attention away from the garden.

Sora & Kairi wanted to explain but they were quick to change expressions then looked at each other and nodded.

"Actually, I think it can wait a bit longer, no harm since it's someone's birthday." Sora decided with a smile, the girl was quick to judge but she decided it was best, she didn't want to ruin today of all days.

"Very well." Gandalf said as he was suspicious of the two and then he knocked on the door with his staff and waited a bit.

"No thank you!" A voice was heard which surprised Sora & Kairi "We don't want any more visitors, well-wishers or distant relations!" the wizard laughed a bit as he heard.

"And what about very old friends?" Gandalf asked soon enough the door was unlocked and opened, revealing an old Hobbit who gasps in surprise "Gandalf?"

"Bilbo Baggins."

"My dear Gandalf!" Bilbo smiles in joy as he hugs the wizard as he knelt to the Hobbit's level, Sora & Kairi were watching with happy smiles on their faces as they see two old friends get along.

"Good to see you, 111 years old! Who would believe it?" Gandalf laughs along with Bilbo and then separates and takes a look at him "You haven't aged a day." he was superstitious but then laughs along with the old Hobbit and soon he notices two more people watching.

"Oh, I see you brought guests." Bilbo said excitedly but they can announce themselves "Any friend of Gandalf's is a friend of mine." he laughs as he walks back into his home inviting them all in.

"Come on, come in." and they walked, the wizard takes off his hat, and Sora & Kairi admire the interior of a house "Welcome, welcome."

Bilbo closes the door and then takes Gandalf's hat and staff "Tea? Or maybe something a little stronger? I've got a few bottles of the Old Winyard left. 1296, very good year, almost as old as I am." he laughs as he puts hat and staff on the side for Gandalf then walks down the corridor to the kitchen.

"It was laid down by my father, what say we open one eah? And what about your friends?" Bilbo asks.

"Just tea thank you." Gandalf says and then bumps the back of his head on the chandler and then steps back a bit to steady it in front of him.

"I'll have some tea too thank you." Kairi gently says as she and Sora follow the wizard as he bumps his head on the frame and asks if he's okay and nodded to reply and then lowered their heads and walks into what looks like a parlour which was kind of a mess.

The two walked over to the fireplace and noticed the pictures on the wall and books around the floor.

"I was expecting you sometime last week." Bilbo said as he was looking around for what he's got for eating "Plus I didn't know you were bringing guests."

Kairi walks towards the windows and looks outside to see how beautiful it was on the inside as she smiles.

"Not that it matters, you come and go as you please, always have and always will."

Sora walked over to the desk which has a little chair beside it and sees books and pages, plus some old maps.

"You caught me a bit unprepared, we've only got cold chicken and a bit of pickle, there's some cheese here. No, that won't do, umm we've got raspberry jam, an apple tart, but not much for afters... oh, no we're all right, I've just found some sponge cake."

The two were very impressed with the house as they smiled, Gandalf however saw a particular map on the desk which was framed, it showed a map with a dragon on top of a mountain breathing fire, Sora peeked and saw the writing which some he couldn't understand but saw some clear and plain.

"The Lonely Mountain." Sora read as stares it in amazement, Gandalf hummed and puts down the old framed map before walking out of the room without the two noticing, soon enough Kairi came over to Sora to look at the map which looked amazing to her too.

"I could make you some eggs if you'd..." Bilbo asks but before he could finish, he notices it's just Sora & Kairi and they two looked around wondering where's he gone.

"Just tea, thank you." Gandalf surprising Bilbo and the other two.

"Oh, right, oh and what about you two?" The old Hobbit asks the two new guests.

"I'll have to some tea, thank you." Kairi said as she smiles, also Sora nodded in agreement as they walk into the dining room and took a seat at the table, Bilbo nods and takes a bit of cake and eats it.

"You don't mind if I eat, do you." he asks and the others didn't mind at all.

There was knocking on the door, and then Bilbo coughs and hides against the wall which causes concern.

"I'm not at home!" Bilbo explains quietly and then walks over to the window silently and then peaks "It's the Sackville-Bagginses." They could hear some yelling calling out for the Old Hobbit "They're after the house, they've never forgiven me for living this long." as he walks back into the dining room.

"I've got to get away from these confounded relatives, hanging on the bell all day, I want to see mountains again. Mountains, Gandalf!" Bilbo daydreams "And then find somewhere quiet where I can finish my book, oh, the tea." as he walked over the kettle hanging over the fireplace.

"I bet you two understand, given how your travellers yourselves." Bilbo express Sora & Kairi and nodded as look towards him.

"Yeah, we've been on plenty adventures, in distant lands." Sora explains carefully and to maintain the world order "Oh, we haven't told you our names, I'm Sora and this is Kairi." Gandalf however look towards Sora as he explained who he and his friend was, before lifting the lid off the teapot for Bilbo as he carries the kettle and the pours "It's very nice friends of Gandalf, including ones from distant lands." Bilbo laughs he recalls his adventure.

"Frodo suspects something." Gandalf explained but that didn't surprise Bilbo "Of course he does, he's a Baggins, not some blockheaded Bracegirdle from Hardbottle." he replied as he finished pouring the kettle then puts back at the fireplace to cool.

"You will tell him, won't you?"

"Yes, yes." Bilbo confirms but Gandalf still has he's doubts "He's very fond of you." the Old Hobbit was sad as he knew that Frodo was very fond of him "I know." and then walks over to the window.

"He'd probably come with me if I asked him." Bilbo laughs a bit "I think in his heart, Frodo's still in love with the Shire, the woods, the fields, little rivers." he expressed as he looks out the window as Gandalf and the other two smiles gently.

"I'm old Gandalf, I know I don't look it, but I'm beginning to feel it in my heart." he says as he has fingers in his right pocket as the others stare in concern as he moans a bit because of age so he takes a seat at the table "I feel... thin, sort of... stretched... like butter scraped over too much bread." Gandalf nods as he understands.

"I need a holiday, A very long holiday. And I don't expect I shall return; in fact, I mean not to." Bilbo sighs.

Sora looks at the Old Hobbit in more concern, but he wishes he could do something, all he could do was look down at his tea and then takes a sip along with Kairi.

"It's okay, Mr. Bilbo, as long as your heart is in the right place, it can lead you anywhere, and never forgot those who are closest to you as they are a part of you, in your heart." Kairi wisely assured as she leaned a hand on Bilbo's shoulder and smiles at the same time.

That made the Old Hobbit smile as he felt the wisdom pass into his heart, Gandalf when he looked at Kairi when she started speaking to smiled, Sora smiled to as he knew too well how friends are important.

(Later that evening)

It was dusk as the sun was setting, from Bag-End, Bilbo & Gandalf were sitting together smoking their pipes as they see where the party will take place, Sora & Kairi were admiring the view as they were sitting on the grass.

"Old Toby, the finest weed in the Southfarthing." Bilbo commented as Gandalf nodded in agreement, the Old Hobbit then blows a circle of smoke, soon the wizard then blows out ship made out of smoke as it sailed through the circle of smoke.

Sora & Kairi giggles in amazement, the girls hand landed on the boy's which caught his attention as he blushed, but she still giggled as she stares at Sora.

"I hope the others arrived safely, pity they aren't here with us, they would enjoy this." Kairi commented as she squeezes her friend's hand.

"I'm sure they did Kairi, and your right," Sora agreed as she looks towards him "They would enjoy this." which made her giggle.

Gandalf stares at the two in wonder about the traveller's as just as he ever since they arrived with him to Bag-End.

"Gandalf old friend," Bilbo catching the wizard's attention "This will be a night to remember."

Fireworks soon went off and music was playing and hobbits were dancing around and drinking ale, Frodo was having a good time dancing, Sam who is Frodo's friend was looking toward the female hobbit, Bilbo was greeting his friends and welcoming them, Sora & Kairi were having fun too and holding hands together dancing as they giggled together.

Frodo stopped by at the table Sam was sitting "Go on, Sam. Ask Rosie for a dance." Frodo encouraged as his friend saw her dancing away, then looked away.

"I think I'll just have another ale." Sam said as he gets up and tries to walk away "Oh no you don't." Frodo stops and turned him around pushes him towards Rosie and soon they were dancing together, making Frodo laugh.

Gandalf then sets off another of his fireworks as it started him which was magical.

Bilbo was sitting on a chair as he was telling his story about his adventure.

"So, there I was... at the mercy of three monstrous trolls. And they were all arguing amongst themselves about how they were going to cook us." Bilbo explains as the kids were staring in surprise, Sora & Kairi were listening to the story as they were taking a break from the dancing.

"Whether it be turned on a spit, or to sit on us one by one, squash us into jelly, they spent so much time arguing the whitertos and the whyfors that the sun's first light crept over top of the trees... Poof!"

Startling the kids and Sora was eager to hear what happened next.

"And turned them all to stone!" The travellers were amazed about the story Bilbo was telling.

Gandalf was getting more of his fireworks laughing as he goes, a hobbit was sneaking around the corner of the tent, as soon the wizard was away, he knocked on the tent calling for his friend.

"Quickly." he whispered to his friend and gave him a boost up onto the wagon filled with fireworks as he landed and crept a look back to Gandalf as he uses his staff to set off another of his magical fireworks which summoned butterflies making the kids cheer for them and chasing them "Up they go!" Gandalf laughs as he makes the kids happy.

Kairi walked up next to the wizard clapping and laughing as he saw the kids have fun "Your fireworks are wonderful Gandalf." she praised as she stares happily.

"Indeed, a bit surprising for you as you and your friend travel distant lands." Gandalf says suspiciously as he keeps his smile, Kairi almost stared at him but what she heard definitely to stare "appearing out of nowhere looking for a wizard, I can only think why you two are here."

Back with the two hobbits who were at the wagon, the one in it grabbed a small firework.

"No no, the big one, big one." he grabbed another which was big and looked like a dragon, the two looked in amazement as his friend jump off the wagon and ran back in the tent and his friend ate an apple acting normal then runs in the tent.

"Mrs. Bracegirdle, how nice to see you, welcome." Bilbo greets another friend, then notices the children "Are all these children yours?" and soon the lady said yes "Good gracious, you have been productive." she agreed with what he said she walked off towards her kids, Bilbo was staring how the party was going and then hears a female voice calling for him and he panicked.

He quickly turned and noticed Frodo "Sackville-Bagginses!" he warned and he helped his uncle to hide somewhere "Quickly hide!"

The two hobbits that were looking for Bilbo were the Sackvilles, him and Frodo turned onto the corner of the tent hid until they walked away and then they sighed in relief "Thank you, my boy."

"You're a good lad, Frodo." Bilbo commented as he looked his uncle "I'm very selfish, you know, yes, I am, very selfish, I don't know why I took you in after your mother and father died but it wasn't out of charity." Frodo stares deeply as his uncle confesses in front of him.

"I think it was because of all my numerous relations... you were the one Baggins that showed real spirit."

"Bilbo have you been at the Gaffer's home brew?" Frodo questioned.

"No." The Old Hobbit quickly said "Well, yes, but that's... that's not the point, the point is Frodo... you'll be all right." Bilbo finished as he downs more of his drink as Frodo was stares.

Meanwhile with the two hobbit that took the firework, one of was holding it and on the ground and the other had light and lit it.

"Done!" the one holding the light.

"You're supposed to stick it in the ground." as the other shoved it towards his friend.

"It is in the ground." as his friend shoves it back.

"Outside!"

"This was your idea."

Soon the bottom of the firework lit up taking off with the tent surprising the hobbits including Sora & Kairi, as the smoke cleared from the take off the two hobbits were covered in soot.

The firework then bursts as the hobbits clapped in amazement then emerged was a dragon which then made a U-turn then flew towards the hobbits as they start running, Sora & Kairi quickly dived to the ground taking cover.

"Bilbo, watch out for the dragon!" Frodo warned as he looked towards it but his uncle scoffs at an idea of a dragon "Nonsense, there hasn't a dragon in these parts for a thousand years." Frodo quickly drops to the ground along with his uncle, but soon the dragon flew up and then spins into a ball of sparkles flying off towards the sky as the hobbits and Sora & Kairi looks up, and the firework then bursts into a nice show with more bursts surprising the hobbits as they clapped and Sora & Kairi laughed and claps.

Frodo & Bilbo were laughing and clapping at the amazement of it.

Back with the two hobbits who set off the firework, they were amazed too, despite what just happened.

"That was good."

"Let's get another one." his friend agreed but was halted as someone stepped behind them and grabbed them by the ears hurting them a bit as soon looked up revealing Gandalf.

"Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took, I might've known." The wizard as he gave the two hobbits a stern look.

Soon enough they were punished to clean the dishes as Gandalf was keeping two close eyes on them as he was smoking his pipe and having a drink.

"Speech, Bilbo!" Someone called for a speech and more called and the three then started watching, Sora & Kairi was sitting at another table clapping for a speech.

Bilbo then steps up onto a barrel and then the clapping halts.

"My dear Bagginses and Boffins..." receiving claps from each family name called "Tooks and Brandybucks, Grubbs, Chubbs, Hornblowers, Bolgers, Bracegirdles, and Proudfoots."

"Proudfeet!"

Bilbo heard that decided to leave it by waving his hand and others laughed.

"Today is my 111th birthday!" Bilbo announced and everyone clapped and cheered.

"Happy Birthday Bilbo!" Sora cheered as he claps along with Kairi as she cheers too.

"But alas, eleventy-one years is far too short a time to live among such excellent and admirable Hobbits." the hobbits cheered at that "I don't know half of you half as well as I should like and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." Bilbo stated as the hobbits looked at each other.

Sora & Kairi found that speech a bit weird as they looked at each other with raised eyebrows, Gandalf as he was smoking his pipe knew what was going.

"I, uh..." Bilbo paused a bit then reached into his right pocket "I have things to do." Gandalf shortly notices, Sora & Kairi did too, the princess of heart felt something a bit off.

Bilbo took what he hid in his pocket in the palm of his hand hiding it behind his back then had both hands there.

"I've put this off far too long." Bilbo whispered.

Frodo along with the hobbits were started to express concern, Kairi was starting feel off even more.

"I regret to announce this is the end!" the Old Hobbit declared "I'm going now, I bid you all a very fond farewell." he then sees Frodo with a concerned look on his face but he smiles at him assuring everything will be all right.

"Goodbye." he then disappeared and hobbits started to ask where's he gone, Sora stood up and looked around and Gandalf was shocked too, Kairi stayed put however because she has felt something that was that she begins to worry, Sora asked for her help to look for Bilbo, but all received was silence and looked towards her, she called for again and sound of Sora's voice was blurred out.

While the hobbits clamouring, at Bag-End the gate opened and the steps were heard as they climbed and soon reached door as it unlocked and opened and soon closed.

Bilbo took off the Ring he had which made him visible as he laughed as he flicks it into the air then puts in his pocket, then prepares himself for a journey to get away, grabs his walking stick that he uses for hiking and then grabs a couple of candles then walks to the parlour where his travelling bag was.

"I suppose you think that was terribly clever." Gandalf said shocking Bilbo as he turned to face as he saw the wizard lean against the fireplace, Sora & Kairi were there too because they followed Gandalf.

"Come on, Gandalf. Did you see their faces?" Bilbo laughed as he was packing a few more stuff.

"There are many magic rings in this world, and none of them should be used lightly."

"Including ones that can give off... a bad feeling." Kairi explains gently from what she can from what she felt back at the speech, Sora looked at her in concern, Gandalf however paid no attention from what she said.

"It was just a bit of fun." Bilbo laughs a bit more "What bad feeling?" but he soon gave up "Oh, you're probably right, as usual, but I assure no bad feeling comes from it." he answers Kairi as he walked over fireplace and grabs his pipe for when he wants to smoke before looking towards Gandalf.

"You will keep an eye on Frodo, won't you?" Bilbo asked in concern.

"Two eyes." The wizard assures his old friend "As often as I can spare them."

Bilbo nods as he reaches for his book that he had at the window then walks back to his pack and stuffs them in there "I'm leaving everything to him."

"What about this ring of yours?" Gandalf asks and Sora & Kairi were wondering the same thing "Is that staying too?"

"Yes, yes, it's in an envelope over there on the mantelpiece." Bilbo points out behind him above the fireplace, Sora & Gandalf looked over to find it but they didn't see it, the princess of heart couldn't see either.

"Bilbo, it's not there." Kairi claimed as the Old Hobbit turns towards mantelpiece, but before he could say he quickly realises and taps his pocket "No. Wait, it's... here in my pocket." he reaches into his pocket and lifting into his fingers as he laughed a bit realising the mistake a he made, and soon both hands were on it held by the fingers.

"Isn't that...? Isn't that odd now? Yet, after all, why not?" Bilbo speaks oddly, Kairi peaks over a little and notices the Ring "Why shouldn't I keep it?"

"I think you should leave the ring behind, is that so hard?" Gandalf questions as him and Sora step forward and the Old Hobbit quickly turns around to face his friends.

"Well, no." Bilbo calmly says, but he slowly gets frustrated "And yes." he looks back at the Ring "Now it comes to it, I don't feel like parting with. It's mine. I found it! It came to me!" he angrily says.

"There's no need to get angry." Sora calmly said as he crosses his arms.

"Well, if I'm angry, it's your fault!" Bilbo shouted at Sora as he uncrossed his arms in shock and Gandalf was getting more suspicious.

"We want to help you Bilbo." Kairi assures but that didn't work.

"Well, I don't need your help!" she steps back a bit and soon Sora came by her side and puts his hand on her shoulder to assure her.

"It's mine... my own, my precious." Bilbo calls in a manner which is not normal as he looks at it with big eyes.

Sora & Kairi stood back a bit as they were scared a bit from Bilbo's tone, but Gandalf however stood his ground.

"Precious? It's been called that before, but not by you." Gandalf claims as he spoke in a deep voice.

"What business is it of yours what I do with my own things!" Bilbo argues and then Sora & Kairi quickly stood by the wizard "Neither is your friends it's none of their business!"

"Bilbo, listen..." Sora was interrupted by Gandalf's hand.

"I think you've had that ring quite long enough." he declares as Bilbo angrily looks away "He's right Bilbo, just put down the ring." Kairi agrees as she tries to assure the Old Hobbit who quickly turned back towards.

"You want it for yourselves!"

"BILBO BAGGINS!" Gandalf yells as the Old Hobbit backs to the wall in fear and Sora & Kairi stood back behind the wizard.

"Do not take us for some conjurers' of cheap tricks." he speaks in a dark deep voice as the room darkens "We're not trying to rob you."

With that said the room starts to brighten again and Sora & Kairi were shock of what just happen as they were shaken and then the two held each other in comfort, thankfully the wizard calmed down as he breathes.

"We're trying to help you." Gandalf reassures and soon the Old Hobbit whimpers and walks over to him and the two hug it out, Sora & Kairi quickly breathed and then smiles a bit as they walk around and assures Bilbo by placing their hands on his shoulders.

"All your long years, we've been friends, trust me as you once did." Gandalf says as he kneels down to Bilbo's level and his words were heard and knowing his friend was right "Let it go."

The Old Hobbit was looking around as he realises it's true "You're right, Gandalf, the ring must go to Frodo." he declares and then looks behind towards his new friends as they saw him smiling at him with comfort "I'm sorry you two, I should've never..." Sora cuts him off "There's nothing to be sorry about, all it matters is that you're okay." the boy said and Kairi nodded in agreement.

Bilbo smiles back and as his spirit was lifted before walking over to his bag lifting it over his shoulder.

"It's late. The road is long." The Old Hobbit telling the others that he must be on his way "Yes, it is time." he then opens the door.

"Bilbo." He heard his name called before he could step out "The ring is still in your pocket." Gandalf said as his old friend turns back towards the wizard realising it "Ah, yes."

Bilbo took it out of his pocket showing to his friends as they watch closely from the parlour, he had it in the palm of his hand as he struggles to let go of it as his handshakes as soon while turning it to the side, his friends still watch as his hand is fully on the side and the Ring fell to the ground with a heavy thud.

He quickly walks onto the porch take some deep breathes as he felt some relief from the Ring, soon Gandalf & Sora were outside with him to check on him, while Kairi stood inside at the door holding it opened.

The Old Hobbit then looks towards night sky looking at the stars as he breathes as he thought.

"I've thought up an ending for my book," he speaks and then turns towards Gandalf & Sora "And he lived happily ever after to the end of his days."

"And I'm sure you will, my dear friend." Gandalf said as he smiles kneeling down to Bilbo's level again, while Sora stood by smiling with Kairi as she was by the door.

"Goodbye, Gandalf." The Old Hobbit leans his hand out to shake Gandalf's who did and grabbed with both hands as he smiles even more "Goodbye, dear Bilbo." he winks at him making him smile even more then turned towards Sora who kneeled a bit and the two shake hands too and then starts to hug as they laugh together as Gandalf & Kairi watch.

"I hope we get speak more the next time we see each other." Bilbo said to Sora as they separated from the hug "I hope so too, and I hope you meet my other friends too." the replied with a smile and The Old Hobbit nodded and then to Kairi who nods back as she smiled.

Bilbo then turns around facing the other way and walk off on his journey as he opens and closes the gate behind, singing as he walks on the path.

"Until our next meeting." Gandalf murmured and soon him and Sora we're slowly walking back in, Kairi however was looking down towards the Ring, she slowly reaches for to pick it up, but as her fingers touched the band, she quickly steps back in fear as she saw something horrifying and felt it.

Sora quickly walked to his girlfriend and as she was breathing leaning the against the wall and Gandalf was watching.

"What's wrong Kairi!? What happened?" Sora asked as he holds on her by the shoulders calming her down, she looks at him with fear in her eyes.

"I saw... something staring..." Kairi describes as Gandalf too begins to reach for it slowly "It was... an eye..." the wizard's fingers merely touched the Ring and he too saw what she did but didn't step back but raised his hand "It was on fire..." as she finished tears slowly dropped from her eyes, Sora quickly held her head gently as he hugs her.

Sora thought of everything she said and was thinking "Is this the Evil that Master Yen Sid told us about?" as soon things calmed, he looked towards the Ring while holding Kairi's hands as Gandalf was standing over it.

"Gandalf, what is that ring?" Sora asks for the princess of heart's sake, but the wizard didn't reply as he stares at it "Gandalf?" again no reply as he then walked towards the parlour to think.

As for the two, since they didn't get a reply, Sora help escort Kairi to the sitting room, leaving the Ring behind on the ground next to the doorway, since he didn't want to touch himself.

(Later)

Gandalf was sitting in the parlour smoking his pipe thinking, while Kairi was sitting down draped with a blanket sitting next to a fireplace, Sora came over and sat next to her as he handed her a cup of water, thanking him.

Sora puts his hand on her shoulder comforting her, as soon as she felt it, she leaned her head on his shoulder, kind of shocking Sora, but he leaned his hand over to her other shoulder comforting her more as the two smiled as they look at the fire.

The wizard however was recalling words that Bilbo has said in his head, words like "Precious" and the way his tone was before letting go of that Ring.

"Riddles in the dark." Gandalf murmurs as he was blowing smoke out of his mouth.

"Bilbo..." A voice from outside and then the front door opened revealing Frodo who was looking for his uncle "Bilbo!" and soon he looked down on the ground seeing the Ring and picks it up.

"My precious." The wizard said more as he paid no attention "Precious."

"He's gone, hasn't he? he talked for so long about leaving, I didn't think he'd really do it." Frodo asked and explained as he walked into the parlour, Sora & Kairi appeared as soon they heard the front door open and heard Frodo's voice and as he saw them and then turns towards the wizard.

"Gandalf?" At that he stops smoking his pipe and looks towards the Ring and Frodo and then smiles "Bilbo's ring." and stands up as he walks over to the table reaching for an envelope.

"He's gone to stay with the Elves." Gandalf reaches out the envelope "He's left you Bag End." Frodo then puts the Ring in it and the wizard seals it up "Along with all his possessions, the ring is yours now." Sora & Kairi were watching closely and wondering what Gandalf was up to, as he gave envelope to Frodo and takes it.

"Put it somewhere out of sight." Gandalf told Frodo before he stands and starts walking off and walks past Sora & Kairi.

"Where are you going?" Sora asked as he following him with Kairi & Frodo behind him.

"There are some things that I must see to." Gandalf explains as he through the corridor.

"What thing?" Frodo questions next

"Questions. Questions that need answering." he explains more as he reaches for his hat and staff where Bilbo first put them before, then makes for the door.

"You've only just arrived, I don't understand." Frodo said which made him stop and then turn "Neither do I."

"But what about the ring?" Kairi asked in fear of it as it was now in Frodo's possession.

"I know, I know you what felt, but there are some answers I must look for first, but I can trust you and your friend to protect Frodo until I return." Gandalf assures everyone of what to do, Sora & Kairi looked down in question but nodded they can do that and received a nod back.

The wizard reaches over to Frodo with his hand on his shoulder "Keep it secret, keep it safe." Gandalf finished as he then walks out door closing it behind him.

Kairi looked at Sora of wondering what we're they going to do, but he didn't know the answer and all he could is hug Kairi around the shoulder as he and her along with Frodo look at the envelope that held Ring inside it.
