Sometimes Oliver wonders where this luck comes from which always makes his crazy plans work. For the most part How the first people that Slade and Helena meet while dragging his and Roy's bodies are the newest of Tali's recruits. Young people who are barely out of their teens. He can hear it in their voice as they try to sound authoritative when telling Helena and Slade to stop. How easy it is for Helena to scoff and say Chase offered them a deal. Our freedom in exchange for them. How Slade's menacing presence made them not think much about what was going on. How Helena rolled her eyes in annoyance asking are we going to lock them up or not. Before they wake up.

It's too easy. Far too easy. So much so that he almost expects it to be a trap.

Right up until he hears the sharp gasp. "Oliver." Diggs's voice rings loudly in the air. "What have you two done."

"What was necessary," Slade replies. Just before turning to the closest assassin and punching them. That resolute smacking sound triggers Oliver, Roy and Helena to attack as well. Swiftly and with ease they incapacitate the young assassins.

Roy looks a the five bodies and turns to Oliver. "That shouldn't have worked." No, it really shouldn't have. The fact that it did is absurd. But he will take any luck that is thrown his way. It's about time missions and things like that started going his way. Normally they all end in some kind of horrible disaster.

Oliver nods in agreement. "Seems like luck was on our side today."

"I hope it lasts, but it is us," Helena mutters earning an amused smile from him. Ever the pessimist. Roy snorts in amusement while Slade rolls his eyes.

Rene's voice cuts through their chatter. "I'm sorry but what is going on right now." Oliver's team eyes turn to the man in chains. Rene tugs on his chains trying to indicate towards Slade and Helena. "Aren't they supposed to be in prison... and you know... evil."

Helena's narrowed gaze turns back to him. "You called me evil."

Instantly his face drops. "No... No, I have never said that." He turns back to Rene. His face scrunching up as something registers. "How do you even know about her." Helena's arrest was somewhat public but not made a huge deal. And even then, why would Rene call her evil. He wasn't on the team when everything between them happened. He came years after.

"Felicity."

Of course, it was. He sighs and Helena seems even more peeved off by this. "They are on our side." He states.

Quention is the one who reminds him of the very obvious fact. "Didn't both of them try to kill you."

"We've all tried to kill each other at one point or another." He replies ignoring the way Rene and Dinah look at each other as if he was insane. They haven't seen the crazy parts of working with him yet. Having two people who turn against him is not even close to some of the weird things that take place around him. But that's another matter entirely. Instead of dragging this out any longer he moves over to Dinah and gives her the collar that Laurel used to use before Cisco upgraded it. It should let her use her canary cry despite the meta human dampeners. And once they are out of here she can use her normal cry. Which is more powerful. "Alright, it's time to go people." The faster they all get free the faster they can all get safe.

"I think it's time to sing birdy." Rene teases towards Dinah.

Who smirks in return before unleashing her canary cry shattering through the chains that held everyone together. She screams again and again until everyone is free. "Do you think they heard us." Roy jokes as he passes Digg a sword from one of the knocked out assassins and Helena passes a gun to Rene and Quentin.

"Let's not stick away to find out." He orders as he leads his team back out of the ruins. He wouldn't be surprised if Laurel's team heard them so naturally Chase heard them.

Chase and Talia.

He wonders if Nyssa and Dusan have been able to get their older sister alone yet. He doesn't fear Taila being able to defeat Nyssa and Dusan. Together the two siblings are basically unstoppable. He worries more about what might happen should Taila not lay down her sword. The actions they might be forced to take.

He hopes his words from before resonated with Talia and that she will be more willing to listen and understand her siblings. That she will not attempt to draw blood from them. But he knows that Talia can be stubborn when she wants to be. She has spent over two years planning her revenge for the death of her father. As much as he wishes it, he does doubt turning Talia away from that will be easy.

But he hopes she does. He doesn't want to lose her in his life. He still holds so much respect and gratitude towards her. And he couldn't bare to be the reason Nyssa lost her sister. To be forced to pick between her and him. It's not a fair choice.

The sound of wooden doors smashing against stone may indicate that they know Oliver has rescued his team. The sound of sprinting echoes behind him as he pulls up short after taking the final turn to the exit.

"Oliver what are you doing." Dig shouts as everyone falters in their steps.

Oliver shares a look with Helena, Roy and Slade earning a nod from all of them in return. Slade undraws his swords and Oliver turns back to the team. "Roy and Helena will escort you all to a boat on the far side of the Island. You will then head to the ARGUS ship docked nearby and wait for us."

"What about you," Digg argues. "You can't possibly think you can take on Chase all by yourself."

"I'm not alone." He points out. A point that is made clear as Slade moves next to him.

Slade's involvement does not make Digg seem any more relieved about this situation. "Oliver." He presses with an equal mix of worry and frustration in his tone

He shakes his head not wanting to have this argument when Chase is almost here. "We don't have the time to argue about Digg. I gave you all an order and I expect you to follow it." He glances at Roy. "Keep them all safe."

"Will do," Roy assures him standing taller. "The four of you keep each other safe as well. Thea will kill me if she finds out she can't plan her dream wedding anymore." He can't help the laugh that escapes him. Thea would be more devastated over not being able to throw the wedding rather than the death of her brother.

"Good luck Oliver." Helena throws in before pushing Rene and Dinah to walk. The two newest members of the team looking very confused as to what is happening. Roy grabs Digg and Quentin as well and drags them away.

Turning back the hallway he and Slade await Chase's arrival. "Any chance your wife and brother will join us before they arrive," Slade asks as the sound of footsteps hammering against the ground grows closer.

"Knowing Nyssa, she will arrive exactly when we need her." She always ends up arriving at the most opportune time. As if she plans it and is just lurking in the shadows waiting to leap into the fray. Here's hoping she and Dusan can come to their aid soon enough.

But right now, he has to plan for this attack. Reaching into one of his pockets he pulls out some earplugs designed by Cisco. Black Siren is the biggest threat to them but with these, her cry won't be as damaging. "Sounds about right." Slade agrees accepting the small gadgets and putting them in his ears.

Another few beats pass before the doors at the end of the hallway explode open. Chase enters first slowing down his steps until it's a more relaxed speed. "Hello, Oliver." He greets smugly thinking he still holds all the cards.

An idea he plays into now wanting to reveal his own hand yet. "Where. Is. My Son." Oliver grits out with a controlled rage lining his voice.

Behind Chase is Black Siren. The earth two version of his Laurel standing proudly by his side. Behind the two of them are twelve of Talia's students. Now he will admit... the odds aren't in his favour here. Two on fourteen is not great. Two on fourteen with one person being a Meta even worse.

Internally he wills Nyssa and Dusan to hurry up. They could really use the backup right about now.

The smug look on Chase's face grows hearing these words. His ego inflating higher than ever. "William." He mocks. "Good name. Sort of a sweet kid actually." Chase turns to Black Siren exchanging amused smirks with each other. "Are you sure he's yours."

"ADRIAN." He bellows. The enraged snarl has Black Siren's eyes widening but Chase looking more thrilled at being able to rile him up like this. "Where is my son." He says more quietly but far more menacingly.

Chase stands proudly in front of him. "If you want to get your son back you know what you have to do." Chase challenges with a child like glee staining his voice. The sound of it made him sick. This man is really screwed up in the head.

And once again Chase is asking him to kill him. Almost begging him to do so. The unrestrained superiority and gloating reflecting from him only reinforces Oliver's decision on not to kill him. No one is this eager to die unless they have something up their sleeve. The question is what has Adrian got planned.

I know what you want me to do." Oliver replies more calmly. He is not going to let Chase win. "And I won't do it. I'm not going to kill you here. No matter what you do. That is never going to happen."

Chase sniffs in sharply his hand tightening on his sword. "Never say never." He retorts before drawing his blade and rushing forward. Oliver moves to meet him clashing halfway. Slade dives forward to cut off the assassins who try to use the advantage that when Chase and Oliver clashed they pushed each other into swapping positions leaving Oliver exposed to everyone. Slade takes on four assassins at once.

Black Siren leans back and readies herself to unleash her cry when an impact arrow explodes right in her face throwing her backwards into the stone wall. Oliver grins brightly towards Chase as the sound of his reinforcements arriving.

Chase annoyed at this dart forward again and thus their battle begins.

Sneaking through the ruins of the ancient temple Nyssa and Dusan stick to the shadows as they navigate the labyrinthine looking for their sister. The two of them walk in silence not wanting to alert anyone to their presence as they search.

Peaking in and out of rooms Nyssa starts to feel frustrated that it's taking so long to find Talia. She wanted this endeavour over with quickly in order to make it back to Oliver's side before he confronts Chase with only Slade as his backup. She prays her husband isn't employing some foolish plan in order to save his team. He has a tendency to do that when feeling rushed. How they normally work out she has no idea. But she would like to get back to his side before he gets himself killed.

Entering another half ruined area she and Dusan halt in their steps when finally Talia appears in view with a group of five of her students. Relief floods Nyssa at spotting her. Relief that quickly fades when she hears the familiar sound of the canary cry being used.

Talia's freezes at the sound. "The prisoners." Seems like Oliver made it to his friends. Good.

Talia then begins to turn to head in that direction but falters in step when Nyssa appears out of the shadows blocking their path. Dusan remaining hidden for now. "Don't concern yourself with them. We have unfished business. Sister." The word sister comes out with bite.

It's been years since she's seen the eldest of her father's children. Her half sister left the league when she was a mere child and Dusan barely older than a babe. She remembers Talia being the first one to teach her to use a sword. How she used to follow her sister around trying to be her.

Their father always favoured Talia over her or Dusan. For years she tried to live up to the place Taila had in their father's cold dead heart. How hard she worked to be the better warrior and one day lead the league. But her father never saw her. For so long she always thought herself to be a shadow of her sister. But not anymore. She's not the same little girl. She has far outgrown that version of herself.

Talia looks at her. Properly looks at her. Picking out the parts she shares with their father and the parts that are her own mother. Two sisters seeing each other for the first time in years and still, their father haunts them. His memory forever stains them whether they will it or not. Children of the demon come together at last. "I heard you gave up the ring of the Demon's head and married our father's killer. What a foolish woman you've grown into." Her sister insults aiming to hurt.

Only the words have no effective Nyssa. Oliver helped outrun the hold their father had on her. She no longer lives for what he would have wanted but for what she wants. The rest is all behind her. "It was your selfishness that forced me to grow up alone." She replies smoothly taking a step down the stairs.

Her sister's students go to draw their weapons but a single raised hand from Talia stops them. This is between them after all. "Our father never would have passed title onto a woman. I had to forge my own path." She understands that now. She is doing the same. But that doesn't mean it didn't hurt to wake up one day and have her big sister gone. Never to come back until now. As an enemy trying to kill her husband and taking her stepson hostage.

Stepson. William is her stepson. She already knew that but now standing in front of her sister who helped in his kidnapping she truly feels the anger at what Talia has done. She has harmed her kid. A sweet boy who smiles just like Oliver but without the weariness. The brother to the babe in her womb. Talia threatened him. Talia threatens her family

She swallows past the lump in her throat as she continues. "And you left us. Knowing we would suffer at Father's hand."

Talia's eyebrows raised at this. "Us." She repeats a slight tremble hidden in her voice.

"Yes us." Dusan answers appearing from the shadows behind her. His tall bold frame looked smaller in his white robes. But he has the hood pulled down letting his chin length wavery white hair be free while his dark almost red eyes dance with pain towards Talia. The two of them standing together contrast heavily. He is all white while she is all black. In hair and clothes. But they look formidable. Two sides of the yin and yang come together.

Dusan is the most light hearted out of the free of them. Father sent him away when he was young. He got to live a life outside of the league while still learning and following their values. He has grown up happier then either she or Talia. Lacking that seriousness that father beat into them. He didn't have to endure the same torture as they did so Ras Al Ghoul could break them down and reshape them in his own image.

And she is glad of that.

"Dusan." Talia looks at him and then back at her. A heavy acceptance on her face. "You both allied yourselves with our father's murderer." There is hurt in her voice. Something she can't understand why. Why have they turned on her. Why do they not honour their father.

"I stand with my husband and family." Nyssa easily says. "It is what father would have wanted from me." She adds on. Her father's wishes are not what drives her to do this. Her love for Oliver does.

Dusan is quick to follow. "I stand with my brother and sister."

Talia scoffs. "Father would be ashamed of you two."

"Father was always ashamed of us." Nyssa shoots back. "Just like was with you." Her sister draws her blade at this. Denial poured out of her. But deep down she knows Taila agrees with her. Their father wished for nothing but the perfect son. The son who wasn't defective as he deemed Dusan. The one who could continue his legacy. The son he found in Oliver.

It's almost funny how Oliver hates him the most yet Oliver was the favourite child at the end. Even in killing him, their father was more proud of Oliver then he ever was of them.

Dusan switches to their language. The one used only among their blood. The one Oliver would have been taught had he spent more time under their father. "Please sister I beg of you. Do not do this to us. To this family."

She shakes her head not listening to what they are saying. "I am the only one fighting for this family. You are the ones who sided with the man who destroyed it."

"Our father destroyed this family, Talia. We have spent decades apart because of him. Oliver was the one to bring us all back together." Nyssa argues which only adds to the fire burning within her sister.

"He murdered our father," Taila shouts at them. Her voice wavering. Not that of a powerful woman but that of a child scared and wanting her father to protect her. Talia's voice turns softer, quieter. "He killed him."

Nyssa didn't have the same attachment to their father after his death. She had already cut all ties with him and wished to kill him herself. But it's different for Taila and Dusan. Her brother was the same after learning of their father's death. He was enraged by what Oliver had done. And he sobbed into her arms demanding that she help him take her husband's head.

They may not have liked him or been close to him. But he was their father. For better or worse he raised them and moulded them into the people they are today. All their lives each of them have ripped themselves apart trying to please him. With him dead who could Dusan and Talia try and live up to. To earn his affection and love.

Losing them was like losing a part of themselves. A thread severed disconnected them from the monster and the father. His presence forever looming over them and without him, they didn't know how to move forward.

Dusan calmed down and embraced his new brother. Learnt the truth of the matter and swore to stand with the last of his family. Pushing past their father's death and moving on. Talia, it seemed lost herself with his death. Lost her path and the true reason why she had to forge her own path in the first place.

Dusan talks instead trying to get through to their sister. "Our father chose him to be his son. Even as he was dying from Oliver's sword Father was smiling telling him he knew he had chosen correctly with him. That he was proud of the man his son was growing into."

Adding on Nyssa says, "Talia our father was a monster. But he was our father. He loved us in his own way. I think. But he would never want us to kill each other. To harm each other. We are his legacy. We are what remains of his blood. Do you think he would have agreed to any of this. To agree to things Chase has done. What you have taught him and allowed him to do too. No father would have Chasse killed as soon as he knew. You talk about honouring him then honour his code."

Talia's eyes are downcast as she weighs what they have said. "It's too late." Talia finally announces. "I've taken my path I must see it through." The sound of metal being drawn sends misery through Nyssa.

Talia has made her choice. Now she must make her own. "So be it." Nyssa pulls her own sword out of the sheath.

"Please," Dusan begs trying to intervene reaching to grab her arm, but she pulls out of his grasp and meets her sister in combat. "Fuck." Dusan rips out his own blade jumping down the steps to engage with Talia's students as they come to defend their mistress.

Nyssa and Talia's blade met. The metal clunking noise vibrates through her bones as she meets Talia's eyes over the shining metal. A brokenness is shining at her. One she reflects back to her sister as they pull away and begin to exchange blows.

Her sister is stronger than her. She realises that quickly. But Nyssa is faster. She moves out of the way of attack and deflects what she can. Talia moves with the grace and strength of a lioness. While Nyssa is more of a leopard. Faster and more agile allowing her to gain the upper hand meeting all of her sister's attacks with ease.

Sparing with Oliver so often also helps her to start to put her sister on the back foot. He was trained by Talia. Part of his fighting style is influenced by her, and she sees it in the way Talia moves. Movements echoed by her husband. It gives her the edge she needs to anticipate what her sister is going to do.

Dusan having subdued the assassins turns back to them. "Sisters please." He calls out and Nyssa ducks under a strike to slit open her throat. Returning it with a jab of the end of her sword handle into her sister's chest. "Talia stop. You don't have to do this." His words fall on empty ears. Until he plays his last card. "Talia, Nyssa is pregnant please stop."

Nyssa uses her brother's words and the distraction they bring to disarm Talia and kick her legs out from under her. Sword levelled at her throat and breathing heavily she looks down upon her older sister. "You are either with this family. Or you are against us. Choose."

Talia's eyes flash from her to Dusan and then back. "You're really pregnant." She manages to ask in between breaths.

"Yes." She admits for the first time out loud to someone other than her brother who only said it as a joke seeing her being sick in the mornings. Her admission of it makes it seem all the more real. Like it is really happening and not just a figment of her imagination.

"Oliver-"

"Is the father yes," Nyssa answers for her. "You are my sister Talia. But so is Thea who you kidnapped and harmed. William is my son by league law. And you took him from us. My baby's big brother. You threatened my husband. You have hurt and tortured him. But I still love you, sister. Pick your family over Chase." Talia goes silent forcing Nyssa to press her blade deeper to her throat. With enough force to draw blood. "I won't ask again. Are you with us. Or are you against us."

Following the arrows taking out the Black Siren two more fly. One knocking out the weapon of a shadow member and the other implanting itself in one's chest. Nyssa appears next to him sword drawn. Dusan appears a second later blood splattered on his white robes. Slade moves back to join them creating a line of his side against Chases.

Chase's eyes harden seeing Dusan appear. A dark curiosity as to who this man is. He looks between Nyssa and Dusan picking out their similarities. They look vastly different in terms of most prominent features but they have the same eye shape and smile. Or in this case frown.

Another figure joins the end of their line. Talia standing next to Dusan sword pointed towards Chase. Her students all freeze and look between each other. Not knowing what to do now. Chase on the other hand looks towards Talia with betrayal and rage all over his father.

Talia takes his ire without a care in the world. "This feud has gone on long enough." She begins looking between him, Chase and her students. "We shall settle this in the way of the league. Single combat. Upon victory of both combatants, Oliver's son shall be released and this war will end once and for all." She declares.

Chase snarls towards Talia. "What are you doing."

"Honouring my father." She moves between and orders for the circle to be formed. "You wanted your chance to get justice for your father just as I did. This is it. The way of the league demands honour to be used. And the league does not harm innocent children. We shall see who the gods favour."

Nodding Oliver takes his position after sharing a look with Nyssa. One that screams I love you and everything will be ok. She nods but a thin frown accompanies her lips. Chase stomps into his own position. He sends another glare towards Talia who squares her shoulders and puts her hands behind her back. Chase then turns to him. "To the death, it seems we shall fight Oliver."

"You still won't make me kill you." He answers slowly taking out his sword and twirling it in his hands loosening his wrist for this.

Chase laughs. A crocked mocking sound that rumbles out of him. There's a hint of insanity in it that even makes Talia wince. "You say that but I'm pretty sure you will when you know the truth."

Oliver narrows his eyes not liking where this is going. Is Chase finally going to show his last card. "What do you mean."

"You son." He laughs out his face contorting sinisterly. "He's already dead." A stunned silence overtakes the room they are in. "You didn't really think I would ever risk your line to continue. That you might be able to free him and escape. You should have heard how he cried out for his mother. For help. And where were you, Oliver. Where were you when I slit his throat." He cackles to himself his smile lopsided and large as he revels in the seething cold look Oliver sends him.

Talia backs away horror overtaking her features. "Wh... what." Desperately she looks at Nyssa and Dusan. "I didn't know. I swear I didn't know."

Chase uses this moment to charge forward. Blades meet with a furry. Chase's movements though wild are controlled and delivered with a deadly accuracy. The air around them wooshes as their blades glide with speed smashing into each other. Chase goes for all the kill attacks while Oliver blocks and counters aiming to main and injury.

Chase grunts loudly baring his blade down and aiming to slice his chest over. Only for Oliver to block it. Chase pushes forward forcing Oliver backway as he tries to wrestle his own blade out of his grasp. But Oliver was trained by Ras Al Ghoul, and he doesn't bend so easily. No instead he lets Chase put all his strength into the movement and then leans to the side stepping back and letting Chase fall forward.

Chase tries to regain his balance by slashing aimlessly to the side. In the area, Oliver is hovering but Oliver ducks and turns on the attack as Chase tries to right himself. Adrain is now on the back foot having to block the flurry of attacks Oliver is leaving down on him. Each attack was designed to draw out his stamina and make his cover a large area. Oliver doesn't falter in his attacks. It's wave after wave and sooner than later Chase begins to struggle to keep up with the onslaught of attacks.

Seeing his opportunity Oliver fakes an attack to the left when Chase shifts his whole body to block. Allowing Oliver, the opportunity to pivot and instead punch the man in the face. Shocked at the attack he can't raise his sword to block as twit his blade so it's flat and rams it against his wrist. The power of it made Chase drop his sword to the ground.

Now unarmed uses the hilt of the sword and jabs it into the man's chest aiming for the oesophagus to cut off his breathing. Then he takes a powerful kick to the side of his right knee making him drop to his knees. Oliver brings his sword to his throat. "I win." Declares in front of everyone.

Through gasped breathes as he struggles to breathe Chase tries to claim one last victory. "I... it does…n't mat…ter… You…r son ... is still dea..d."

Grabbing him by the throat Oliver smiles down at him. A truly bone chilling grin as he leans closer. "My son was already saved by my friends and is now safe with his mother far away from you." His words wiped the smug smirk off of Chase's face.

"No... NO." He shouts. "I Won't let you win." Chase then reaches down and draws a gun out of nowhere he raises it when the sound of an arrow being fired sounds faster and the gun is knocked away and Oliver slams Chase's head against the ground knocking him out.

Looking over his shoulder he sees both Nyssa and Dusan having their bow and arrows raised. Yet it is Talia's bow that shot the arrow. His former mentor meets his gaze. "This feud is over."

He nods in appreciation. "Thank you." He utters sincerely.

A flicker of a smile tips at the corner of her lips. "Don't mention it."

Nyssa strides forward pulling him into a tight hug relief flooding through both of them. Pressing a kiss into her hair he lets himself breathe. It's over... It's finally over.
