I own neither Hunter x Hunter or JoJo's bizarre adventure.

I always knew my life would end someday, but I didn't think it would happen so soon. All it took was a moment of distraction, looking at my phone, and crossing a red light. A car hit me, and now I'm lying on the floor bleeding out. Maybe the boomers were right; phones really are bad.

Someone called an ambulance. I can hear the sirens, but they sound muffled. It probably doesn't matter anymore. I'm getting really cold, the pain is unbearable, and my vision is already getting blurry. I've broken a bone before, but that's nothing against this. All I can do is hope this is over soon. There are some things I would have liked to have said before going, but it's too late. I think I'll regret that for the rest of my life.

My senses finally failed, and darkness engulfed me. I didn't know how much time had passed, or if time even was a thing anymore, but there suddenly was a strange warm sensation all around me. Could it be that I was still alive, lying in a coma in some hospital? I mean, if I really were dead, wouldn't my consciousness have faded away? That must mean I'm either still alive or this is some kind of eternal punishment. Well, all I can do now is wait and see.

And I did for what felt like an eternity. In that time, I started to hear muffled sounds, but I could never tell where they came from. I also regained some feeling in my limbs, but moving them was very difficult. The good news is that I'm still alive and not paralyzed. I guess I'm just incredibly lucky.

There's something weird happening to me. It feels like something is pushing me, and the noise around me is louder than ever before.

I think someone is screaming; they sound like they are in pain. The pushing has been going on for some time now, and my head feels like it's being pushed through gaps in a railing. After it had finally been pushed through, I sucked in cold air; my whole head was cold now, and I started crying immediately.

I didn't do it voluntarily; it was a reflex that kicked in. At that moment, I realized it. I wasn't in a coma; I really did die. At this very moment, I was reborn.

The first two years of this new life were fairly boring, but now my motor skills have finally progressed enough that I was able to walk, and I was getting the hang of talking too. Having to relearn these things was somewhat embarrassing, but not the worst that happened.

There are some things that I shall never tell anyone about.

My mother's name is Holly Kujo. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and is very pretty. She is incredibly loving and does her best to provide for me. My dad isn't around. I gathered that the asshole dipped after my mom broke the news that she was pregnant. But there is one other thing that is new in this life. The fact that I was reborn as a girl.

My name is Joline Kujo and I have become a girl. I have the same hair color and eye color as my mom, and I must admit that I do look quite cute in the baby clothes that I'm made to wear. But that doesn't mean that I'm a fan of it.

I had one sister in my previous life and am not looking forward to things that are to come.

I'm trying my best not to be a burden for my new mom, but there's only so much one can do as a two-year-old. We live in a small house in a village on an island in the middle of nowhere. There are no other kids on the island, at least none that are even remotely close to my age.

When my mom is at work, one of the old women of the village comes and babysits me. Time is passing incredibly slow. There is no internet in the house, not that I would be allowed to use it, and my TV time is being restricted. Reading books is out of the question since I want to at least seem like a normal child. I hope I will be able to escape this neverending boredom when I become older.

Soon after my fifth birthday, I developed a high fever. My mom rushed me to the island doctor to get treated, but it took a few weeks for the fever to come down.

Soon after weird things started happening around me. Snacks that I wanted to eat started appearing in my room, and the next day, when my mom took me with her to go shopping, the store owner complained. I also saw smoke-like white wisps coming out of my skin, which became more as time passed.

I didn't tell my mom about any of this. I didn't want to make her think I was crazy, but one day, mom allowed me to stay up longer as we watched TV together, and it fell into place.

We were watching a wildlife documentary about a mystical creature that was discovered by a hunter. That was all it took for me to figure out what the white smoke was.

I was reborn in the world of Hunter x Hunter and I somehow awakened nen. Probably after that fever, but that still didn't explain the snacks that appeared in my room.

I didn't have time to dwell on that; the most important step now was to keep my aura from leaking out. I focused and willed my aura to form a protective layer around me. Soon after, I felt like I was enveloped by a warm blanket. Holding it, however, was difficult, and I fell asleep soon after.

If I remember correctly, the next step of training was to develop ten to the point where you can use it while sleeping. After that, you would learn to suppress your aura zetsu and then amplify your aura ren. If you have a good grasp on these three, you would find out your nen type and create your personal hatsu.

Awakening my nen this early in life is probably the best thing that could've happened. I don't know when the canon will begin, but I'm definitely going to become a Hunter. The excitement of going on an adventure, the huge benefits the hunter's license gives you, and not being stuck on this boring island anymore. I will train as hard as I can until I'm twelve years old and can take the Hunter exam.
