[BRAZIL - RIO DE JANEIRO - 2011]
On a dark night, the favela is lit up, and the distant sound of a party can be heard. Among the favela, a few young students are quietly getting high near two soldiers guarding the area.
In the distance, there is a lone Alerter positioned strategically to alert if the police show up.
Suddenly, he is pulled from behind by a police group. They cover the guy's's mouth with tape to prevent him from alerting others. Two officers, numbered 03 and 05, stay with the rocket launcher while the rest prepare to attack. Officer 04 surveys the area and turns to captain of the battalian, a muscular man in his 20s with intense eyes, dark disheveled hair, a serious and cold expression, and tanned skin.
He turns his head toward Officer 04, revealing a purple star-shaped mark on the back of his left shoulder.
Officer 04's gestures that there are two soldiers in the area. The captain gestures back to open fire.
Officers 06 and 02 grab their weapons, leave their hidden positions, and coldly target the soldiers, frightening the youths. The squad members quickly order the youths around.
— Get down! Get down, damn it!
The youths comply and lie down.
— Where's the Seller!?
— It's among them, captain!
— Oh, really? Line everyone up in front of me!
The other team members force the youths to stand in a horizontal line in front of the captain. Ignoring the terror in the youths' eyes, the captain says in a serious, loud, and harsh voice: — I'm only going to ask once: Who had the cargo?!
— There's no one here, sir. — One of the youths responds fearfully.
The captain gets angry and starts shouting with rage:
— Who had the cargo?!
The youth responds more terrified: — I don't know, sir. I'm just a student.
The captain glares at the youth in silence while nodding — ... You're a student, huh?! Then come here, student! — He pulls the student by the arm forcefully toward one of the soldiers guarding the area.
He asks in a cold tone: — Do you see this? Do you see this hole here? Who killed this guy here?
Without a response, the captain asks again, gripping the youth's neck in a tight hold: — Who killed this guy here?
The student responds scared: — I don't know—
The captain interrupts the student with a sudden shout: — You don't know? You know! — And hits the student in the face: — Who killed this guy here?! Speak up! — The captain continuously hits the student in the face while ordering him to speak.
The student responds completely terrified: — I-It was one of you!
The captain punches the student in the stomach in fury: — 'One of you' my ass! The one who killed this guy here was you! You're the one financing this shit!
The captain shoves the student back to the other youths.
— We only come here to clean up the mess you make! You assholes! Now tell me, where's the Seller?!
One of the youths stands up shakily and looks at the captain with a defiant expression. The captain looks at this youth and says in a fierce tone while the other squad officers point their guns at him: — Hey, kid, stay down or it'll be worse for you!
The youth responds stammering and trembling: — I- I'm the Seller of this group, but I- I doubt you can defeat me! I now have a power that will surely slice you up! — The youth then summons his Stand, a red and thin humanoid with various blades on its body: — Meet my Devil's Bla—
Before the guy can finish his sentence, he receives a strong punch to the face from the captain's Stand. — ORA! — The youth falls to the ground, looking with extreme fear at the captain's Stand. The Stand is a tall and muscular humanoid wearing a black military uniform, black boots, and a black ballistic helmet that completely covers its head and face, with only its glowing red eyes visible.
— So you're a Stand user too, huh? — The captain looks at the youth and sighs again: — Fucking grief, in that case, meet my Stand, Iron Army.
Iron Army salutes the captain: — ORA.
— Well, now it's just a matter of giving you a beating and taking you to the station.
Iron Army then starts a barrage of punches on the youth while repeating the word 'ORA' until he's unconscious.
The other youths, incredulous and confused, watch the situation with pure fear. The captain turns to his team: — Let's take the Vapor to the station, and then we can go home. Tell 03 and 05 to release the Alerter.
The squad confirms and starts preparing to leave. Just before they go, one of the youths looks at him with fear and shock trying to understand what happened: — Wh- What the hell is this?! Wh- What did you do to Robert?!
The captain stops and looks at the boy with a cold and frightening tone —... Kujo, my name is Joel Kujo, you must call me Captain Kujo. I only did what I had to do with your friend. Honestly, I would have been gentler if he hadn't challenged me.
The boy recoils in fear and falls silent. The squad takes the unconscious Seller to one of the vans and drives to the station, leaving the rest of them for the conventional police.
Upon arriving at the station, they imprison the Vapor and place him under the responsibility of the conventional police. The squad members take off their uniforms and change into their casual clothes.
02, Marcos, approaches Joel: — Hey, Captain...
Joel sighs — What do you want, Marcos?
He recoils — Uhm... well, I just think you could have been less rough with those guys—
Joel interrupts Marcos — Marcos, we've been in this line of work since before joining the BOPE, it was between me and you to become captain, you know how I am. Are you really going to pity scum that supports criminals?
Marcos sighs — No, sir... it's just that... doesn't this violate human rights or something?
Joel glares at Marcos sternly — Marcos... criminals aren't even human. Understood?
The officer nods — Understood...
— Okay... now go home to your wife and stop bothering me. — Joel says before walking towards his home.
On his way home, Joel walks through the dark and empty streets of Rio de Janeiro, which offer a rare silence and peace only broken by Joel's footsteps. In the middle of his path, he hears a voice coming from an alley along with groans of pain.
"Wryyy..."
Curious, he goes to investigate what made the sound and is shocked by the scene: A woman holding a dead man by the neck. She seems to be in her 20s, with an intriguing beauty, red eyes glowing with a supernatural intensity, long black hair, a robust body of notable strength, and pale skin with a yellow star mark on the back of her left shoulder. Joel notices that somehow, the man's blood is being "sucked" into the woman's hands.
He promptly draws his gun and points it at the woman, shouting: — Drop the man and put your hands up immediately!
She simply looks at Joel and sighs, coldly stating — Sir, I'm doing something that's none of your business. I ask you to leave and pretend you didn't see anything. — She drops the dead man's body on the ground and turns to the captain.
Joel grit his teeth and shoots the woman in the leg, intending to make her surrender, but she shows no reaction. Her leg starts to regenerate rapidly.
The woman looks at him with annoyance and sighs: — I wasn't feeling like killing a cop today, but if that's how you want it, so be it. — She starts walking towards Joel coldly and calmly.
The captain looks shocked. Only one thing is going through his mind: "A Stand user!" And he starts walking towards her.
She laughs, and her expression changes from absolute coldness to mockery as she raises her hands, almost as if finding the situation amusing — Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming right to me? Even though I asked you to leave, like a predator warning its prey to give it a chance to run and save its own life?
Joel responds through clenched teeth — I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer.
Her smile only grows with entertainment — Oh oh... Brave, bold, and crude, just the way I like it. Then come as close as you like. — And she starts walking towards Joel.
They get close enough to attack each other. Sharp claws made of bone emerge from the woman's hands, and she swiftly slashes Joel's shoulder, fast enough that he can't react — USELESS!
He grunts and punches the woman hard with Iron Army's fist, sending her flying through a wall, breaking the wall and certainly several bones.
Joel notices that the wound has severe burns, as if her claws were as hot as fire, and that the attack was much more than a simple scratch.
"A Stand that manipulates the body, and a very powerful one. Maximum range being the user's body, strength involving everything surrounding the user, speed and precision probably superior, and potential depending on the user..." He sighs and looks at the wall she broke "Fucking grief..."
After a few moments, the woman starts laughing mockingly — My, my! What a brute... y'know, your punch was pretty fast and strong. I'm impressed...
To Joel's astonishment, she emerges from the rubble almost completely intact. She looks at Joel with a cocky smile — Well, I liked you. I think you're going to give me a great show. — She snaps her fingers and prepares to attack — Let's see how much you can take, cop.
Joel looks in disbelief and sighs — If that's how you want it, then let's do it that way.
Joel extends his hand and a rifle materializes in it.
Both monsters face each other and attack each other with the intention of killing.
