Some time later, the battalion is heading to Turano in the 'Big Skull', all with a serious demeanor, prepared to fight if necessary... except for Daniela, who is standing by the window, admiring the beauty of the city. She laughs casually and playfully: "My first time in the BOPE armored car. I'm so excited!"

Sandro whispers to Joel in doubt: "Captain, are you sure it was a good idea to bring her here?"

Joel sighs: "I have no idea, but it will depend on whether she does a good or bad job and if she can follow orders..."

"But what if she doesn't do a good job and doesn't follow orders?"

"Then we're screwed. Think of this mission as gambling. If we bet right, we win; if we bet wrong, we lose everything."

Daniela turns to them with a discontented look: "You know, I might technically be dead, but my hearing is much better than anyone else's here."

Joel replies with an equally discontented tone: "Then you know we want you to be useful."

Daniela rolls her eyes and mimics Joel to herself in a low voice: "'Be useful', blah blah blah..."

He rolls his eyes, hoping that no one from the battalion dies on this mission because of this vampire, while Daniela looks out the window, clearly hurt by Joel and Sandro's disbelief in her.

Upon arriving at Turano, they get out of the Big Skull and begin to ascend it, being cautious at all times. The lights from the exposed brick houses were sparse points of illumination, barely lighting the narrow streets. Joel leads the group, his eyes alert to every movement in the shadows, while Daniela follows closely.

"Everyone in position," Joel murmured to the group "Remember, our priority is to ensure the safety of Father Pucci. No acting like idiots."

The soldiers responded with silent nods and determined looks. Daniela, on the other hand, is visibly bored. She walks with great elegance, her eyes shining with a strong glint as she surveys the surroundings. "So, where's the fun? I thought we'd have more action."

"Focus, Dea," Joel replied through gritted teeth. "We need to ensure the area is secure first."

As they approached the meeting point, the group heard distant voices and laughter. Joel signaled for everyone to crouch and seek cover. Daniela, with a sarcastic smile, merely raised an eyebrow.

"We have to be stealthy," Joel whispered, pointing to a group of soldiers guarding an entrance. "Dea, stay behind us and only act when I give the signal."

Daniela rolled her eyes: "As you wish, JoJo."

Joel sighed, trying not to let irritation take over. He signaled for Felipe, Sandro, and Marcos to advance on the right while he and the others moved left. The group moved with military precision, using available cover to approach the guards.

However, a sudden movement from André caught the soldiers' attention, who began firing at the officers. Joel threw himself behind a wall, returning fire. The confrontation began intensely, with bullets whizzing through the air and shattering the concrete around.

Daniela, watching beside Joel, rolled her eyes. "Seriously? I could resolve this in seconds."

Joel looked at her with a serious expression and sighed: "You know what? Go ahead. Show what you can do. Let's see if you're so good as you say."

Daniela smiled, the light in her eyes intensifying: "With pleasure, Captain."

She dashed forward, moving with an unparalleled speed to human eyes. In seconds, she was among the soldiers, her hands moving in blurs as she took down one after another with precise strikes. Each movement is graceful, almost like a macabre dance, as she dodges bullets and takes down her opponents effortlessly, drinking their blood.

The battalion watch in shock and awe. In less than a minute, Daniela had incapacitated all the guards present, leaving them unconscious on the ground. She turned to Joel, licking the blood off her hands.

"So, Captain, did I do well? Any objections?" She asked, her voice tinged with a triumphant tone.

Joel shook his head, impressed and almost completely at a loss for words with the vampire's abilities. "No... No objections... Uhm... Good job, Dea."

The soldiers around were still processing what they had just seen.

"... Ahem, so, let's move on," Joel said, regaining his composure. "We're just getting started. Dea, stay close and keep doing what you do best."

The group continued up the hill, now with renewed confidence. Daniela remained in the lead, her sharp senses detecting any threat before it manifested. Her imposing presence and supernatural abilities were a constant reminder of what was at stake.

As they advanced, Joel couldn't help but wonder about Daniela's true intentions. Although she was proving to be very powerful, he knew he would need to keep a vigilant eye on her. After all, an alliance forged out of necessity could easily unravel in the shadows. Moreover, if Daniela turned against them, Joel wasn't sure what she could do, considering she nearly killed him with just her physical abilities.

He shook her head to dismiss these thoughts and gestured for the group to stop as they approached a particularly dark and narrow area between two exposed brick buildings. He signaled for Olívia to advance and check the area. She nodded and moved silently, disappearing into the shadows.

Seconds turned into minutes as the group awaited André's return. Finally, he came back, signaling to Joel.

"Area clear, Captain," She whispered.

Joel nodded and led the group through the narrow passage. As they advanced, the sound of laughter and conversation became more audible. They were approaching a meeting point.

Daniela leaned close to Joel, her playful smile now replaced by a serious expression. "I can feel several hearts beating up ahead. At least ten."

Joel signaled for the group to stop. "Everyone, be careful, Dea has detected a large concentration of people ahead."

He divided the group into two teams, one led by him and the other by Marcos. Daniela stayed with Joel, ready to act at the slightest sign of danger. They moved in formation, surrounding the area where the enemies were gathered.

The traffickers were distracted, drinking and laughing, completely unaware of BOPE's approach. Joel signaled for everyone to get ready. In a synchronized move, they advanced, surrounding the traffickers and pointing their weapons.

"Everyone, hands up!" Joel shouted, his voice echoing through the alley.

The traffickers startled, some trying to grab their weapons, but were quickly subdued by the soldiers. Daniela moved quickly, disarming those who still resisted and taking them down to the ground.

In seconds, the area was under control. The traffickers were handcuffed and lined up while Joel checked the area to ensure there were no further threats.

Joel nodded, satisfied with his team's efficiency. "Dea, anything?"

Daniela looked around, concentrating to feel any breathing or heartbeat nearby. "Nothing much. I think we got them all."

Joel nodded. "Alright. Today's been productive. Call for some vehicles to pick up these scumbags, and we'll continue the patrol. The more we can get, the better."

Joel, Daniela, and the rest of the battalion sent the traffickers to the Military Police vehicles and continued their patrol of Morro do Turano, moving with caution and precision. Daniela's presence brought a new element of unpredictability and supernatural power.

After about half an hour of patrolling, they came across a house that seemed to be used as another meeting point. Joel signaled for everyone to stop and crouch.

"Dea, what do you sense?"

Daniela closed her eyes for a moment, concentrating. "At least five people inside."

Joel nodded, signaling his team to position themselves around the house. "Be cautious. Stay close and be ready to act."

The soldiers surrounded the house silently. Joel signaled for Marcos and Felipe to advance through the front door while he and Daniela approached the side entrance, with Sandro, Olívia, and André covering them from outside.

With a swift gesture, Joel opened the side door and entered, his weapon ready. Daniela followed closely, her senses sharp detecting every movement and sound. Inside the house, the traffickers were gathered around a table, discussing plans and exchanging weapons.

Joel signaled for Daniela to advance. She moved with impressive speed, disarming the traffickers and immobilizing them before they could react. Joel and the other soldiers followed, arresting the criminals and securing the area.

"Great," Joel muttered. "Dea, take care of the area while we check the rest of the house."

Daniela nodded and positioned herself near the entrance, her eyes shining in the darkness. Joel and the other soldiers searched the house, finding more weapons and drugs hidden in various rooms.

As the soldiers searched, one of the traffickers immobilized by Daniela stood up and coughed, brushing the dust from his clothes. He looked at Daniela and defiantly said: — "I-It didn't even hurt..."

Immediately after standing, the trafficker disappears, making Daniela widen her eyes and search around. As she tries to sense him and fails, Daniela realizes that he definitely has one of those 'Stands' Joel mentioned earlier and calls out to the soldiers. "Guys! There's a Stand user here! He became invisible!"

Joel and the rest of the soldiers quickly head out to search for the trafficker. They realize the trafficker has truly vanished. Joel thinks for a few moments and sighs. "Fucking grief… fine. Let it-"

Daniela sighs, clearly irritated. "So you're just going to let him escape? Wow, I didn't know you were such a coward-"

"ORA!" Iron Army punches Daniela in the head, hard enough to knock her down but not enough to incapacitate her.

Joel glares at her: "Call me a coward one more time and I'll kill you. Don't act like what you can't do is impossible for everyone else."

Daniela groans in pain and coughs, quickly regenerating thanks to the blood she drank earlier. She sighs "O-Okay… so tell me: How do you think you're going to find him? I can't feel his heartbeat, and his breathing disappeared. He became untrackable."

Joel rolls his eyes. "Dea… 'untrackable' my ass." He steps outside and talks to Sandro and Olívia. "04, 05, Stand user who went invisible."

Olívia and Sandro nod: "Got it!"

"Green Quest." Olívia closes her eyes and crosses her arms over her chest, starting to concentrate. A green aura begins to cover the area. A few seconds later, a green path of light forms from Olívia to the Stand user. In a calm voice, she says. "Found him."

Joel nods and looks at Sandro. "05, your turn."

Sandro nods and gestures, summoning his Stand. "Angra!"A wolf made of flames emerges from Sandro, ready for the hunt. Angra starts following the path laid out by Green Quest.

The battalion follows the green path and sees Angra biting the trafficker, who deactivated his Stand due to the pain. Joel sighs and approaches them. Iron Army gently pats Angra's head to calm him, causing the Stand to back away from the trafficker.

Joel crouches in front of the Stand user: "Punk, if you try to run, we'll either arrest or kill you. So answer my questions if you want a chance at freedom. What's your name?"

The boy looks surprised and scared, replying in a trembling voice: "… Bernardo…"

Joel nods and says calmly. "Alright, Bernardo, you're a Stand user. We're looking for people like you. I'll make you an offer: Come with us, go through rehabilitation, and enlist in the police. We'll make sure you get paid well and have a good life."

Bernardo widens his eyes, stammering: "W-What…"

Daniela looks at Joel in surprise while the rest of the battalion seems indifferent, already used to Joel's actions.

Joel sighs at the boy's reaction. "Are you deaf? I'm giving you a chance to change your life. All you have to do is go to the station, talk to Sergeant Mesquita, and say you're a Stand user. It's either that or prison. And you better answer right now."

Bernardo thinks for a few seconds and sighs: "Alright, I accept your terms."

Joel nods. "Great." He stands up, stretching. He turns to his battalion. "Let's go, everyone. I think this incursion was enough. We can head back to base."

Everyone nods and prepares to return to the 'Big Skull.'

Daniela approaches Marcos with a curious look. "Hey, 02, can I ask you something?"

Marcos turns to Daniela and nods: "Sure. What's up, rookie?

"Why did JoJo make that offer to the Stand user? I mean… I know they're powerful people, but he doesn't seem like the type to recruit everyone who looks strong."

Marcos sighs. "… well… Joel is… curious. I don't see him as a good person. He's rough and cruel… but one thing I know is that he understands what it's like to be a Stand user. When Joel awakened his Stand, he received help, help that he knows many others didn't get, and that's why he wants to guide them toward justice… even if his idea of justice is a bit… twisted, so to speak. That's why he likes to rehabilitate them and bring them into the police."

Daniela nods, impressed by the captain's attitude. "I see… but then why didn't he rehabilitate me? I mean, he just accepted me into the battalion without any issues."

"I'm not sure, but I think it's because of the desperate situation… or maybe because he knew you'd be a good option and trusted you."

The vampire looks amazed. She didn't expect someone to trust her (even in a desperate situation). A wide smile appears on her face. "I see. Thanks, Marcos."

He smiles back: "Anytime.

Daniela heads to the 'Caveirão,' happily following Joel. Joel looks at her and raises an eyebrow — Why the happiness?

She smiles smugly. "Nothing, JoJo."

He rolls his eyes. "... whatever. Let's take these guys to the station, then we'll bring Bernardo to Mesquita… and I'll introduce you to him too."

Daniela nods and follows Joel, her curiosity and interest in this human growing more and more.
