On a vibrant, crisp, cold day in the season of Fall...

A young man in his late-teens rode on the pleasant valley of Nevada with his horse; galloping on his way to meet up with a woman that he had heard about once before by his step-father, Mr. Ben Cartwright: The patriarch and owner of the richest land in Nevada: The Ponderosa.

The young man's name is Jamie Hunter Cartwright. He was once known as the son of a Rainmaker who traveled around from one town to another, in the Southwestern part of America. The late Mr. Hunter tried his best to help the townsfolk in Virginia City use his ideas to solve the drought problem, but tragically the mistrust of the people with the hatred they spewed upon him, plunged his health into abysmal and passed away. Jamie had known much about the failures of being a Rainmaker. He didn't even want to be near to anyone; even to his estranged grandfather, who never shared upon the grief of being alone. When Ben Cartwright brought him in to become a part of the family, his happiness soared at the moment of becoming a Cartwright, himself. Thus, he took on the surname, Cartwright, with pride and joy to this day.

Speaking to himself, Jamie wondered about the woman he was about to meet by himself.

"Pa had told me about her very much... Things had been pretty hard ever since after Hoss died. She may tell me everything about her adventures with my brothers, and Pa. I shouldn't be too nervous of my first time meeting Mrs. Amara Boskkon. I really wanted to know about the hardships that Hoss went through when he was alive."

Jamie travelled on and on as he looked on his map to find the location of Mrs. Boskkon's home hoping to make sure that he didn't get himself lost in the trail. Strangely enough a figure started to appear right in front of him. Reaching closer to the person without being suspicious, Jamie calmed his steed down to walk carefully right down straight to the individual. As he approach, the person turned out to be a middle-age woman in her late 30s; tending to her horse with care. She wasn't alone for there was another person; a child in her small stature, and held a bouquet of roses that she held on her left arm. It seems that Jamie had noticed about the bouquet, and walked up to both of them.

Jamie then began to speak. "Excuse me, ma'am. I was travelling from my home to find a woman that my Pa told me all about. And, I wanted to ask you if you know her by the name of Mrs. Amara Boskkon?"

Both the woman & the young girl looked at Jamie with eyes of suspicion that could make a grown man frighten in sight. However, the young boy seemed to be confused by such a disturbing look; adding to the fact that he almost was close to meeting the woman and the young girl. Stood in a quiet position, Jamie also went silent until the lady finally spoke to him in a respectful manner. "So you're looking for Mrs. Amara Boskkon... Is that correct, young man? He replied. "Yes. Yes, I am."

She continued to question him further. "What is your name, young man? Where did you come from, and who is the family that you're associated with? For a few seconds Jamie stood in silence, but he finally told about himself; to which suddenly surprised her. "My name is Jamie Hunter Cartwright. I was originally an orphan who lost my parents a long time ago, and was to be taken in by my estranged grandfather. When Pa brought me into the family, I adopted the surname, "Cartwright"; thus I became a part of the family & The Ponderosa is my home ever since."

"Cartwright...?" Cart... Wright? Yes, yes, I know of your family all too well, Jamie." Jamie became stunned by the answer that she gave. "It seems that your search for the lady has finally concluded. For I am Mrs. Amara Boskkon. I've been expecting you to meet me about my adventures with your step-brothers before you've joined with Mr. Cartwright's family. I already knew of what happened to Hoss; of his tragic passing from Mr. Cartwright's letter that he'd send to me. My sorrow is too great for me to bear about your big brother's death."

Stunned by the revelation, Jamie couldn't believe that he was talking to Mrs. Boskkon face-to-face. The long, enduring journey that he took finally ended in the evening with his exhaustion and hunger dwelling inside his stomach. "I can't believe that my search for you, Mrs. Boskkon, is over. But, I feel hungry and sleepy at the same time. My provisions are running low from my travelling." Amara understood the situation that Jamie was going through for his search for her. The young girl walked up to him, and said. "Don't worry Mr. Jamie. Mrs. Boskkon will make you a delicious meal to make you feel better. And my name is Marina." Jamie smiled at the little girl; pretty much surprised that she came to talk to talk to him since Marina was quiet at the time. As soon as he finished his search for Amara, a sound of a Wolf howling at the Moon signaled that night was fast approaching. Amara gathered her things placing herself and Marina on top of her horse, while Marina still held the bouquet of roses wrapped around her arms.

"It is too dangerous to go on in the night. There's a stationary cabin that's just two minutes away from here. I use it as my backup cabin to store food and clothing in here; as well as having three beds just in case if I need to rest on a visit. No wild animal or convict would even dare to try and enter. For I have placed security on the cabin." Amara spoke to Jamie kindly. "Okay. I'll go with you two." He replied. "You'll be good with us, Jamie. No bad monster will hurt you." Marina giggled by the look on Jamie's confused face. He then smiled at Marina, and gave her a pat on the head. "Yes I know, Marina... I know." The three of them began to gallop their way into Amara's stationary cabin not far from their location. The sun finally set down from the sky as they reached to the cabin to rest; for Amara and Marina are going to visit Marina's father, Mr. Fitzgerald, on their destination tomorrow.

Entering inside the stationary cabin had amazed Jamie in a surprising kind of way. Food and provisions are stacked up neatly in the shelves. The small dining table ladled with dishes such as plates, bowls and cups stacked neatly together with the eating utensils. Warm light from the fireplace warms up the cabin from the brisk cold air that they originally came out from; along with the furniture that has been kept clean and tidy. Jamie turned around, and saw the beds. There are three beds lined up in one row; each one with a different color: Blue, Red & Green in a dark theme. All of them are cleaned up in perfect order for Amara and her guests to relax and sleep; as long as they kept it cleaned. As Jamie sat down on the chair on the dining table, Amara gave him a dinner consisting of Buttered Toast, Stewed Beef & Vegetables along with a cup of milk to consume; while both, Amara & Marina, are eating their dinner on the same table. "Mr. Jamie, how do you know Mrs. Boskkon?" Marina asked; hold a spoonful of stew on her right hand. "Hmm... To be honest, Marina, I didn't had any knowledge of who Mrs. Boskkon really is; until Pa, Joe, and Hoss told me about her when I started living at home. I wanted to introduce myself to Mrs. Boskkon, and wanted to hear of the adventures that happened at the time when she used to visit. I've hadn't seen her until now." She replied happily. "Wow! I didn't even know that." But before the conversation can continue, Amara interrupted the two, and said to them. "I'd suggest that you two should be eating; instead of talking too much with the food on your plates, and you wouldn't want your food to get cold. You can go back to talking; once you're finished with your food. Am I correct, Marina?" Amara looked at Marina carefully with a stern look on her face. "Yes, Mrs. Boskkon... I'm sorry." Marina frowned from Amara's words and she understood the rules that her mother, Mrs. Fitzgerald, had taught her. "Don't be upset, Marina. Your mother asked me to take you to see your father. I'm very sorry to make you feel sad for that." Jamie agreed on Amara's terms. " She's right. You're a good kid, Marina. Your mother has taught you very well to be a good, little girl; so that way, we'll go and meet your Pa. All you have to do is to learn to take on a BIG responsibility. Let's enjoy the rest of the meal that Mrs. Boskkon prepared for us tonight, and we'll go see your father, tomorrow." Marina looked up to both of them; smiling. "Okay. Thank you, Mr. Jamie." Amara nodded by her small smile.
