A/N I'm so pleased that so many people like my story. It's been a major confidence boost and is becoming something I'm happy to work on. I have read the comments and I'd just like to say that while Lincoln will have a set battle team by the end of the story, he will also be rotating his team whenever the situation calls for it. While he does the Pokemon League, May will do the contest aspect of the series, just as her anime counterpart did. However, I am NOT having Max be their third companion as I found him utterly annoying during the Hoenn and Battle Frontier arcs of the anime. I have an idea for a third companion and it's someone that you all know. However this won't happen until after the next chapter which will include a small timeskip. Anyways Hope you all enjoy Chapter 2!

All Lincoln could see was a swirling vortex of random colors and shapes. He immediately felt a small trickle of fear as this had not happened the last time he had used the watch. He felt a sense of weightlessness as he fell through the vortex. Thinking quickly, he immediately began pushing random buttons on the watch, desperate to achieve some sense of normality.

This proved fruitless, however, as the watch display began glitching rapidly as sparks began to shoot out from it. Lincoln began to feel the watch rapidly heating up as the device continued to malfunction. As quickly as he could Lincoln removed the watch from his wrist and flung it away from him with all his might.

The watch only flew a few feet from him before it exploded in a flash of light. The force from the blast flung Lincoln into the wall of the vortex and, as he lost consciousness, he vaguely saw a golden portal open before him.

Then darkness took him.

In a small village, a moving van slowly drove down the road before stopping in front of a small house. A young preteen girl wearing a red and white bandana tied around her brown twin tail styled hair, hopped down from the front and gave a long stretch before straightening her clothes. Her outfit consisted of a red sleeveless top over a black sports bra, and white short shorts over short black compression shorts with yellow and red shoes.

She took a deep breath and looked around at the place that would be her new home. Her reverie was cut short when a young boy wearing glasses and a green shirt with brown shorts, jumped down from the truck behind her and, knocking her down in the process, ran towards the house.

"Max, be careful!" she shouted in annoyance. The boy, now named Max, simply turned around and blew a raspberry at his older sister, before running into their new home.

"Spoiled brat!" the girl grumbled.

Picking herself off the ground, the girl turned as another passenger gently descended from the cab of the moving van. She was an older woman in her early thirties wearing a yellow top over an orange dress.

"Relax, May." said the woman, "Max is just excited to see the new house as I'm sure you are as well."

"Yes, Mom." said the now named May. Her mother took a moment to stretch before clapping her hands and gaining a look of determination on her face.

"All right! We have some work ahead of us so let's help the movers empty the van, and get our new house straightened out before your dad comes home!"

May nodded with a grin and moved out of the way as the driver of the truck took several red and white spheres off his belt and through them into the air. They burst open in a flash of light and several large gray creatures with enormous muscles wearing what appeared to be black speedos appeared. Soon the creatures were emptying the van and moving the boxes into the house at a breakneck pace.

As May watched, the door of the house next to theirs opened and a large bearded man wearing a lab coat over a dark blue shirt with khaki shorts, and carrying a satchel exited the building.

"Bye honey! I'll be back before dinner!" he yelled back at the house. As he made his way out of his front yard, he noticed the moving van next door and grinned when he realized that his new neighbors had finally arrived.

Walking towards May and her mother, he began to introduce himself.

"Hello!" he began, "Welcome to Littleroot town! I'm your neighbor, Professor Birch. You must be Norman's family!"

May's mother smiled. "Hello Professor! I'm Norman's wife Caroline and this is my daughter May."

May smiled and shook the professor's hand. "It's nice to meet you professor!" she said.

As her mother and Professor Birch made small talk, May decided to take a short walk around the neighborhood and familiarize herself with her new home. As she walked she saw several creatures roaming around such as a group of small pink and white worm-like creatures climbing some trees, and a small raccoon creature with brown and beige spiky fur running in a zig-zag pattern.

"There are so many cute Pokemon here," she thought.

Her thoughts were interrupted when a strange crackling sound came from the air above her, startling her greatly!

Looking up she was amazed to see what looked like a tear in the sky open in the air above her and an orange and white form fell through and hit the ground with a thud. The portal vanished as quickly as it appeared and May shook herself out of her astonishment when she realized that the form that had fallen through was in fact a boy about her age with white hair and wearing an orange shirt with blue trousers with white and red shoes.

Leaning down to see if he was alright she immediately noticed that he was covered in bruises and his clothes and hair were singed. When she noticed that he was unconscious, she panicked and ran back towards her home calling for help.

The young man briefly opened his eyes and let out a groan.

"Where am I?" he thought, before passing out once again.

The first thing Lincoln noticed when he came to was that he was laid out on a couch with a cold wet towel on his forehead.

The second thing he noticed was that he was sore. Really sore. Like being hit by a truck and thrown through the air levels of soreness.

And the third and final thing he noticed, as he opened his eyes, was a cute brown haired girl leaning over him with a concerned look on her face.

"Am I dreaming?" he mumbled.

"Are you ok?" the girl asked, "do you remember what your name is?"

"Lincoln," he replied. "My name is Lincoln Loud."

"I'm May. Do you need help sitting up or can you do it yourself?"

"I think I'm ok, but thanks for the offer."

Sitting up with a groan Lincoln took in his surroundings and noticed he was in a small house in the midst of a move-in as there were several open and unopened boxes all over the place.

"Where…Where am I?" he asked as he looked around.

"You're in my house in Littleroot Town." came May's reply.

Confused, Lincoln turned to May. "Littleroot Town? Where is that?" he asked.

"In the Hoenn Region. Surely you know where Hoenn is?" said May.

"No…No I don't." Confusion soon gave way to terror when the door opened and tall gray humanoid creatures began bringing in more boxes.

"Wh-What the HELL are those!?"

Concerned, May glanced behind her as the creatures continued their duties. "You mean the Machoke?" she asked.

Turning back to Lincoln, May noticed that his initial fear had dissipated and he was now staring at the Machoke in wonder.

"What are they?" he tentatively asked.

May looked at him confused before a moment of clarity crossed her features.

"You do know what a Pokemon is, right?"

Lincoln's blank stare was all the confirmation that May needed. Hearing voices coming from outside, she turned back to the door just as her mother and Professor Birch entered, both speaking in a concerned manner.

Their conversation died down when they saw Lincoln was awake. Sensing their concern, May quickly spoke up.

"Mom, Professor Birch, meet Lincoln." she said.

Giving a polite hello, May's mother excused herself to the kitchen to find some refreshments while Prof. Birch sat on a chair across from their new 'guest.'

"Son, Could you tell me where you are from and how you got here?" he asked.

Unsure of where to even begin, Lincoln decided that honesty is probably the easiest way to explain his current predicament.

So he did. He told them everything. From the video contest, to his sister's shunning him, even how both his sisters and parents shunned and neglected him. He even told them of all the past shenanigans his family put him through and how he decided he needed to get away. The whole discussion took a few hours and by the time he was finished, night had started to fall, and his audience sat in stunned silence.

"Wow." said the Professor. "That's…that is just…unbelievable."

May looked at Lincoln with sympathy, nearly heartbroken at having heard what the poor boy had gone through. The whole situation seemed like something out of a sci-fi movie but she had seen the tear in the sky and had seen the condition he was in after coming through.

"Lincoln. Are you okay?" she asked.

"I'm fine." he replied, "I'm just unsure of what to do now. I know I wanted to get away from my family for a little while, but without the watch, it looks like I'm stranded here."

May looked at her mother, a silent question upon her face. Immediately knowing what her daughter was asking, Caroline sighed.

"I'm sorry May, but we don't have any extra room for him to stay with us."

May's face fell, but only for an instant before Professor Birch spoke.

"Don't worry about a thing, May. He can stay with me at my house while we try to find a solution to his problem."

Lincoln looked up, hope glimmering in his eyes. "Are you sure, Professor? I don't want to be a burden."

Professor Birch smiled. "It's no problem at all son. And since you are new to this universe allow me to extend a greeting on behalf of our world."

He stood up and shook Lincoln's hand with gusto.

"Welcome to Hoenn."

A/N So Linc is now in Hoenn and next chapter will learn what pokemon are as well receive his starter.

Now I'm going to try to post a new chapter a week but this may change depending on work/health concerns. My ultimate goal is to do a minimum of two pages a month regardless. Anyways, see you all next chapter!
